Maspeth Ave is quite honestly the nastiest bassline we have heard on a deep house track in some time, sure to cause spontaneous "bass face" in the listener. Life as an Echo uses soaring chords and synths to prove its point, and Forests of My Mind finishes the EP off with a pitch bending chord that pushes the track right along. Yet another extremely cohesive, emotionally charged effort from this artist.

A firm favourite with the Hot Creation camp, Jey Kurmis returns to the label with his Jessycat EP. Following acclaimed releases Lil' Nic French, Kari and Not Too Flabbeh on the imprint, we once again see the talented producer at the top of his game.
The EP stays true to Jey's trademark sound as the producer delivers three tracks to take the dancefloor through to the small hours. The EP opens with Jessycat, a bubbling tribal affair that implores you to move. An array of vocals bleeds into the record taking you on a journey to outer space. Fien features co-producers Nukov & Yelmet and takes a darker turn with a rumbling bass and intense vocals that state 'my head spinning like a merry go'. The outer space sounds continue into closing track Vanstone, unfolding with a swinging bass and distorted stabs. Part of the industry from more than a decade, Jey Kurmis has previously released on labels such as; Moon Harbour, Leftroom and Kaluki. Taking his DJ skills to new levels he has played the world's hottest parties- from Sonar to BPM, and The Warehouse Project to DC10. The Leed's based music maker has also commanded residencies at Do Not Sleep and Paradise.

How did the myth surrounding the proverbial 'difficult second album' come about And who first started the rumour that you have a lifetime to finish the first album, but two years at most for the second It's likely that all these platitudes simply got churned out of the cliché machine at some stage, but the fact remains: They are out there and they sometimes make life tough for musicians.
But not for Till von Sein. He simply approached the dictatorship of the schedule with a shoulder shrug; stress rolled off him like water off a duck's back, and he released his second album a good three years after his début work #LTD.
But isn't Tilly the guy whose tour schedules barely leave any corner of the earth untouched That's right. In reality, those three years were compressed into a time frame during which other artists on the scene manage to put out a few EPs and remixes at most. More importantly, von Sein's Precious is not merely a follow-up, it's not just material for the next few years' worth of tours: von Sein has re-calibrated himself, re-assessed his approach to creating an album cycle. He summed up his approach to recording this release with unambiguous brevity: "I wanted the album to get to the point."
While its predecessor could be described as performing a loyal service to the functional aspects of House, the tracks on this album dance to the ever-changing tune of their author. Precious effortlessly does its name justice, forming a collection of interpretations of all the musical treasures that have left the deepest impression on von Sein as an artist. The album shifts between House, R'n'B and soul-inflected pop, stylishly connecting the most remote bpms and succeeding, where many others have failed, in combining dancefloor compatibility with a touch of songwriter inspiration and even airplayability.

MFM's curious and utterly killer Afro/Belgian electronic project gets the re-whip by a bunch of current producers. The EP also includes the previously unreleased, Veronika V02 (a synth bass heavy version of the compilation track, Veronika 02).

Kian T, a self-confessed analogue synth addict, steps up for the 6th Secret Reels release and with an EP on Big Bait already under his belt and one forthcoming on Toy Tonics, 2016 is looking like a vintage year for this Italian producer.
This EP is all about tough beats, warm & punchy synth lines and a few dusty vinyl samples thrown in for good measure.
Kian's production values are always on point, and these 3 tracks are no exception, instantly standing out from the crowd.
On remix duties is man of the moment Daniel Leseman. His solo productions and remixes are firm favourites with a vast swathe of top DJ's. He is also one half of Fouk, alongside Junktion, who have absolutely taken over recently with releases on Heist, Razor-N-Tape, House Of Disco and not to mention their own label Outplay. Daniel turns the tough syncopated beats of Flughafen into a shimmering, funk-laden piece of house.

""Tenderness" is four cuts of emotional dance music from Super Tuff label head, M. Vaughan. With galloping shakers underpinned by a weighty sub-bass, the A1 cut Moon River is a blue-eyed peak time anthem. Turn Around! Is an A2 track with heavy duty low end and a tender pitch shifted vocalia wonky patchwork of melodies that sums to something reminiscent of early Herbert. For the B-side, "Tenderness" at 117 BPM is a soft, opening tune that serves up a breaky drums, liquid pads, and a well-placed harp solo. "When it All Happens..." is a DJ Aakmael inspired groover that leaves the EP with a driving kick, chunky Moog bass, and a vocal sample wailing out from the pains of heartbreak. Don't cry! Get intimate with a brand new copy of M. Vaughan's "Tenderness" from Super Tuff.

Label head of Vancouver's Heart to Heart 'Secret Lover' is up next up for All My Thoughts, along with a remix from Pacific Rhythm's Khotin.

As smooth sky blue colour cat can represent, this EP has a smoother beat than its usual style. If you remember its previous EP with a darker colour, now the punching kick and identical house bass are gone and this EP is true showing off the producer's ability as a musician who can adapt to any kind of diversity. The first track "Last Song" has deep bass and atmospheric sounds, like a typical Romanian loop, but after the long trippy beat when the piano sounds kick in, the atmosphere changes and brings back the emotion. The second track 'Get Funky' is also truly hybrid version of house, while the combination of funky vocals and the endless hi-hat and shaker keep the groove tight and the deep down pad sounds mixed smoothly with the forest of beat make for a truly a unique character.
The last track 'Alright' is a very joyful one, even though it uses a typical funky house vocal sample. Its unique way of playing percussion and vocal keep the groove totally "all-right".

The 3rd edition of the Dance 2017 series is a double A side featuring a track from the highly regarded Palms Trax and also the debut production from Secretsundaze aka Giles Smith & James Priestley. It's hard to believe Palms Trax has only been about since 2013. In just 4 years he has carved out a formidable reputation as a both a producer and as a DJ. Having released just 2 EPs a piece across the Lobster Theremin and Dekmantel it's quite a coup that he has contributed a track to the Dance 2017 series.'Outflight' perfectly rides the line of cheeky trance euphoria with house sensibilities, aimed straight at the modern dance floor, clearly demonstrating one of the scene's most respected producers at the peak of his game.
On the AA Secretsundaze step up with their very first production as a duo. Both Giles and James have a catalogue of production work already, Giles as Two Armadillos with the sadly departed Martin Dawson and James alongside partners Marco Antonio Spaventi and Dan Berkson.
'Motorway Jam' is a peak time, Detroit inspired burner with a rough analogue bassline and atmospheric detail on the top end. Keep your eyes peeled for more music from the London pair coming soon. As the name suggests, Dance 2017 is here for one purpose and these tracks are guaranteed to make you move!

Warm Fiction proudly announces the label's second record from New York techno icon (now based in Frankfurt) Reade Truth. Love's Secret Domain is Truth's first release of 2018, a varied Techno/House affair that will be a welcome addition to any DJ's bag. Across four tracks, Reade explores trippy vocals and beats that are sure to rock the club at peak time or the wee hours.

Superhuit Music presents Boogymann's 7th concept album: Boogymann & Friends. Boogymann & Friends is an eight track concept album comprised of two parts: with remixes from the original album Delight and other previously unreleased tracks that are best described as strong funky house music. The two EPs combine influences ranging from deep to disco sounds of the elite level world renowned house producers such as: Gene King, James Duncan, Manoo, David Duriez, Rocco, Dan Electro and Boogymann himself. After six albums, Teo "Boogymann" Moritz returns with this concept album and once again showcases his status as one of the greatest DJ/producers for the global house dancefloors.

Instant is the trio of Bernd Schöll (Bass, Vocals, Rhythm), Mike Hauer (Guitar, Synth, Percussion), and Marion Siekmann (Vocals) from Munich, Germany. They formed in 1980 after meeting through mutual friends attending the local art and graphic design school. The trio were dissatisfied with their surrounding musical environment. Inspired by the Velvet Underground, Kraftwerk, and Giorgio Moroder, they set out to create their own brand of Neue Deutsche Welle fusing Dada, disco, and Krautrock.

Over the course of 2 weeks in Summer 1980 the band teamed up with local producer Mario Strack to record 6 songs. These would make up their debut eponymous album that was originally self-released on 10' vinyl in 1981. They utilized a simple set up of guitar, bass, and keyboards, plus the BOSS DR-55 Dr. Rhythm drum machine. Metal scraps clanging appear on the tracks 'Do Not' and 'Optimate Minimum', and a washing machine was sampled on the track 'Joyboy', which features Marion reading from the appliance's instruction manual. The A-side features 4 tracks in 11 minute, while the B-side hosts 2 songs in the same stretch of time. 'Charade' features no wave saxophone accompaniment from Kai Taschner of Munich New Wave band Luna Set. Marion's vocals are between Nico's Teutonic chill and Alison Statton's (Young Marble Giants) playfulness, while Bernd takes a monotone approach. Lyrics for 'My Boy' and 'Everybody's Gotta Mutate' were adapted from 'Rotwang', a fragmented novel written by Tim Hildebrandt, one of the brothers famous for illustrating the works of Tolkien.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl comes housed in a replica of the original jacket design, which features a neon red screen-printed drawing of a cut-out doll family on a stark white background. Each LP includes a postcard insert with lyrics.

Celebrating its 10th release, Jazzy Couscous dug in its Japanese crates to bring us a forgotten gem produced by Japan's Jazz legend Kazumi Watanabe. The track called "" (Garuda) was originally released in 1984 on a private press dedicated to a famous Japanese wrestler, Antonio Inoki. Nearly 5min of an ambient beauty taking you through the mysteries of South East Asia's deepest jungles. On the B side, Jazzy Couscous invited Kuniyuki, a true musical genius from Japan knowing no boundaries when it comes to sublimate raw diamonds like Garuda. He delivers an outstanding remix, taking the listener on to a musical journey of exotic deepness. Using traditional drums, he tints the track with an authentic tribal and epic color while synth and pads are creating a dreamy atmosphere in the second part. A true beauty.

Keita Sano returns to Let's Play House with another album, the physical iteration of which we're presenting as two separately-packed 12-inch EPs.First is Kubo, a sharp and cutting collection of four house ditties that are equal parts eccentrically off-kilter and warmly welcoming, esoterically out there and remarkably familiar, in a way only Sano can pull off.

Sydney s Post Pluto are back with the debut No Doors EP from riggles, a four track blend of crunchy beats and dusty house grooves. Doomsday takes us back to 99 with a sun drenched edit of the classic MF Doom beat. Shine follows with a bass heavy groove and stretched out vocals. On the flip, Perfect Day gets moody with textured drums and back alley sax solos. Sydney duo, Sonderr, are on remix duties with a melancholic approach to Shine , bringing it to a darker club atmosphere.

Toribio is Cesar Toribio, a Dominican American living in Brooklyn by way of Tampa, Florida. He's an alumni of Berklee's School of Music, and recorded 'My Dear' in his college dorm room in 2011. It's difficult for me to find the words to express how proud I am to be releasing out his first recorded works. Especially in a physical form. The music is honest, vulnerable, and exposes parts of his personality that even those who are fortunate to know him, have never seen before. 'Esa Montana se Movera' contains 4 tracks - 3 original songs on Side A, and a 10+ minute remix from Joaquin 'Joe' Claussell, a long admired hero of Cesar's, on the flip. -Paul

While being a longtime neighborhood friend of Mireia Records in Hamburg, he's a world travelling, record making factotum with releases on house music's finest like Giegling, Retreat and Delusions of Grandeur. Here he reinvents fragments of his record collection into entirely new pieces. Caught somewhere between soulful housefunk and japanese sci-fi soundtrack. The flipside brings together two of the dustiest fingers from the south and east: LeRoy from Munich, known for his loose style between Kraut, sampling and psychedelics becomes 'Like One". Elevating vocal snippets, warm-as-a-dog's-nose bassline and delayed fuzz guitars bring an early summer to your technics. Filburt from Leipzig, Don of O*rs and well-versed producer in his own right hypnotizes and slowly layers 'Take it back' into infinity. Happy to see him again on Mireia Records after five years!

Debut release from Belarusian producer FITZZGERALD. TUGBOAT EDITS continues the high quality streak with the first release for 2017 & the 11th 12" of the series. Floor-filling, peak hour edits that pull ahead to separate themselves from the typical styles of the genre.

Still steamin' from his Turner Street Sound collaboration, Midnight Tenderness serves up a dreamy first solo offering with a fire-cracker of a four-tracker for Sydney's Ken Oath Records. The opener 'Refresco' is a bleary eyed house number with gently propulsive 707 cowbells and shaker rhythms over smooth pads & an infectiously jazzy bassline. The four to the floor mould is quickly broken as the EP progresses - Terme is a midtempo electro track that retains all of the dreaminess of Refresco while punching in some swish drum programming. Flipping the record over, Bevanda is a sweaty miasma of sub-bass, FM flutes and birdlike synth leads that could soundtrack an imaginary club located in the middle of Queensland's tropical rainforests. The EP's closer, Hydra, pushes the tempo way down and introduces some smooth guitar licks, courtesy of Riffin' Rory as well as some lithe flute play. The end result is a sleazy New Jack Swing jam that works as well for warm-up as it does for cooling down. If you're tired of buying boring club 12's, look no further! This one will be as comfortable coming through your home stereo as it will be in the club.

GLENN UNDERGROUND takes us on a TB303 journey with lush ambient chords and spacey rhythms on "BATTERY ACID" on the A-side plus a raw dub edit of it on the flipside. "MR HEARD" finishes out the B-side and is yet another tribute to the Master Of House LARRY HEARD aka MR FINGERS and GU really taps into LARRY's musical solar system!

Sharif Laffrey's epic masterpiece is finally available! Sharif Laffrey has been playing all over the place for 20 long hard years. Born in Detroit, Michigan - he's worked on The Line & at Submerge, toured asia with Juan Atkins and once had to chase a grown man through the streets at night after the man crawled into his living room through an open window. *He* was also once chased by a man with a knife. An active member in Detroit's early rave scene he still lives with the fear that one day someone will develop the 8mm film that was taken during some of those nights and put it on youtube. Sharif remembers booking all international gigs exclusively with something he calls a "Fax Machine" - He says there was "no internet" then. He also had a beeper (pager) and drove a Trans-Am. Not ironically. "I like Acid House." Sharif Laffrey realeased TURN IT UP on Discos Capablanca to massive praise, he is dealing with The Fame since then.

Two of the most powerful cuts from Aura's self-titled 1979 LP, now available on 7-inch.
