House Vinyl New Releases - News

Telfort returns with a third 12' on his own imprint, following the aptly titled debut 'In A Good Place' and stellar follow-up 'Lickety Split'.

His best yet, the Edinburgh-based producer drops the evocative and soul-stirring 'Soon I Will Embark On A Journey', with its immense, alluring melody and downright addictive grooves. On the flip, the hazy and hypnotic 'Until Now' takes us further on the journey with its shimmering textures and mesmeric flow, radiating warmth through mind-soothing chords and gritty percussion. Further on, we hear a reinterpretation from Julius Steinhoff, co-founder of Smallville Records and half of Smallpeople. Serene and smooth but equally stomping and floor-ready, the melancholic strings and trickling percussion slowly develop and captivate in a sublime and entirely fitting rework.

Championed by Move D in recent months and garnering notable support across his releases from Axel Boman, Smallpeople, Moxie, Krysko, Seb Wildblood, Jane Fitz, RüF Dug, Jacques Renault and many more, Telfort continues to carve out his own niche in house music with his inimitable mix of subtle rhythmic wisdom and guile.

5 excellent tracks from Manuel Sahagun, Jan Ketel, Nova Casa, Jana Falcon and Monosoul. Lovely 5. House music with a deep passion.

Brussels-based Play Label Records step up for the second instalment of their La Parenthèse House series.

The four track EP will be dropping both digital and vinyl.

On the A-side, Interstate delivers some irresistibly groovy house vibes, followed by Dancing Your Heartbeat, an even funkier track by Folamour.

The B-side is marked by a deeper and slightly more mellow atmosphere. Through House Resort by Siler and Flabaire, who have already been a part of the first La Parenthèse House edition, one dives into a loungy warmth. The final track comes from San Francisco born, Berlin based producer Yooj. He drops a multi-layered journey with a catching balance of emotional and percussion-driven energy.

The annual Deep Love compilation has become one of our most important releases to showcase what Dirt Crew Recordings is all about. It gives us the chance to highlight and welcome new faces alongside the residents who keep the Deep music we stand for alive. This year more than ever we have artists from all over the World, from Japan to Canada and Lithuania to Austria represented. The man the myth...Mr. Nightcrawler himself is back with another masterpiece. True to his usual unique blend of many styles, Nachtbraker has delivered typically off-kilter 'Cobi Cabani' with crashes and sound design that punctuate a freaky bass and rippling lead. Dropping in for his debut outing on our label, Viennese resident of Sass club and founder of the 'Secret Crunch' imprint, Roman Rauch brings the filtered Disco House. Ripe with fruity percussion and deeply ingrained groove, 'Sweet Ears' breathes and builds keeping up energy to work bodies throughout the cut. Close friend of the Dirt Crew family and member of Detroit Swindle's Live super group, Lorenz Rhode is an extraordinary artist who's not only active in the House Music scene but also created his own Big Band, the Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld. He gets right to it in 'On Top' a legit live key and bass jam with all the funk from a seasoned jazz musician. From across the Atlantic we have Toronto's Jesse Futerman teaming up with Dan Only, Jesse remixed Harry Wolfman's last EP on DC and is known for his laid back house grooves.

RA+RE, pronounced "rare" is a Paris based female only record label. The name of the label, RA+RE Records, describes precisely what it aims to represent: rare, underground, unique and meaningful music. RA+RE Records wants to gather talented feminine artists that will spread their sound and sensibility all over the world. RA+RE Records is excited to present its 5th release, signed by the Argentinian artist, Victoria Engel, vinyl only, available in February 2017. This new EP blends dub-techno sounds and an aerial and mind-blowing atmosphere. Keeping the groove and the feminity of all RA+RE Records release. Also, the talented Dutch artist, Andrea Cichecki marks an amazing remix very minimalistic and powerful.

Vyvyan wants to keep his real identity secret, which is something I can't help but respect (I did the same for a couple of years).
Without the context of personality, the music really does do the talking, and in this instance it has a lot to say.
Both original tracks on offer here are unashamedly dance floor focussed disco / techno mutations, and they're both as compelling as they are fun.

For remixes we've drafted in Paul Woolford, a genuine UK legend, who by this stage is irrefutably nestled in the top tier of the British electronic music Royal Family.
His remix perfectly displays the unconventional wit, and mastery of groove, that's propelled him to where he is today.
I imagine its the only track we'll ever release that begins on a breaks and baseline assault, and ends on samples of farmyard animals.

Finishing off the release we have a remix by my dear friend Christophe (Futureboogie) in advance of his own artist EP on Me Me Me later this year.
Christophe skews the original's frenetic rhythms in to a vintage sounding bumping piece of machine driven house with an Italo-esque twist, which is as good as this description sounds.

Don't sleep on this, as a record crammed to a brim with such insanely tight and varied material doesn't hit the
shops often. Printed on a customary 180g Elusive wax and limited to a measly 300 copies it won't stay on the
shelves for long and might just cause a riot!
Andrey Burtaev is somewhat of a gleaming, speeding meteor that is about to hit our planet big and Elusive
Records are proud to welcome him back for his second effort for the label. Right from the start of the Move
on Dub' we are teleported to the heart of the deepest rainforest. The humid hallucinatory mist of the opening
bars subversively flows into hooks laced with explosive jitters and locked-in, dubbed up tech-house beats. The
jive comes in and reasserts the reggae roots so central to Andrey's music. The track is so dense with fresh ideas
- it leaves you with that rare feeling of 'not enough'.
When listening to Late Night Dubbing' one may be excused for thinking that they woke up in a Bedouin
dwelling and stepped from the carpeted tent floor straight onto the white sands of Tulum. The delicate
textures of orient strings and distant splashes of ice cold water pools take time to build up before morphing
into Latin-tinged guitar lick so seductive that despite the constrained tempo of the track any given dancefloor
would most probably spontaneously combust.
Next Dub' grabs all that is lush from a tropical dub carnival and dips it in a keg of sordid four to the floor disco
groves. End result - nobody will be able to sit this infectious stomper out, 'dem bodies shall move'!
Let's end on a high! Imagine a barrel of Jamaican finest is being smuggled into a watering hole of downtown
Chicago circa prohibition time, lock stock and a smoking barrel! Classy and off the hook is the trademark
signature of the outstanding Steven Cock's remix of the title track. The bassline on his interpretation of Next
Dub' is so virulent - the World Health Organisation ought to provide the release with a warning sticker!
Enjoy... that is if you are lucky enough to get one!

Opulence founder's Jonny Cruz & Cali Lanauze are back together for the labels third release and their first Joint EP since 2012. This four track Ep sees the pair give us each their own personal take on the groovy, dark and trippy sound that is Opulence. On the A side we see Cali Lanauze's "Come Around Three". Simplicity is the key here, all the elements combining beautifully for a deadly hypnotic and trippy head nodder. Visionquest's head boss Ryan Crosson steps in on remix duties delivering two killer versions of the original. The first being the galactic mix (vinyl only) and the second his more simple step mix.The galactic mix is a more minimal interpretation with stripped back beats and lunar atmospheres that is sure to take the listener on a journey.
The simple step mix is a more fat laced club stomper with a bouncy baseline and pads that make this cut a brilliant dance floor gem. Jonny Cruz's "Pseudo Reality" is all about the infectious groove and unconventional vocal samples that are used smartly with grainy pitched effects.Organic elements combine with a series of precise drum licks, ever-evolving whirrs and background nuances, that are sure to keep listeners moving. On the remix the label welcomes Canada's own Analogue Wizard, Cynosure and Haunt label Boss Mike Shannon. Mike comes on board with his "Pseudo Reality Bike Day Mix".A peak time acid bomb with analogue drums and infectious leads, the type of track that will get you sweaty on those 3am vibes.

"Le Freq ft Gia Scola" flips rhythm into an swung out groove that feels both deep and tribal, perfect for casting spells or just expressing yourself through movement. Then last but certainly not least is the true dance floor work out of the record called "Arizona Heart". This cut is a deep bomb and detonates like one each time its dropped, take a listen and you're sure to understand.

Supported by: Johannes Albert , Chris Carrier, Julietta, C-Rock, Wagon Cooking, Kiko Navarro, DVS1, Mad
Mats, Skylarx, Nibc,... With his modern, inspired by Detroit & New Jersey style house vibes, this talented young french DJ/Producer is fast becoming a hot name on the house scene... "This EP is heavily inspired by my time spent in Seoul, South Korea, and especially these amazing minutes, when at night, you cross the Han River - by the Hannam Bridge - feeling how wide & impressive the river & the whole city are... and suddenly you would like to stop the time and to have this Nightride to last endlessly..." Fulbert Fulbert isn't falling into a category of producers that are writing music because it's on trend, he's all about a deep rooted, heartfelt love of house.

The Finnish tropical troupe Maajo is back with a two-track EP. In contrast to the Afro-Balearic sound of their 2016 debut Tropic of Tulli, the new Defo / Mansaba EP is a step in a deeper and sometimes darker direction.

Defo kicks off the EP with a driving 5/4 rhythm. Reminiscent of Mark Ernestus' Ndagga sounds, it is a tribal tune with Maajo's signature ethereal disco elements.

Trevor Deep Jr.'s version straightens out the original's unconventional time signature and focuses on a four-to-four beat and plenty of Berliner dub. The remix is a solid dancefloor tool, traversing the original like a train making its way through a dark rainforest.

The B-side is entirely covered by Mansaba, a 14-minute long journey into inwards. This studio jam, recorded largely live, is a wild mixture of polyrhythmic sequences, krautrock guitar licks, equatorial forest percussion and violin synths. The trip starts slow and soothing, sneakily picks up pace and keeps grow and growing, eventually exploding into a full-on tribal dance.

After two first tracks and a debut EP Mental Scapes released in 2016 that explored various electronic atmospheres, ALVA are back with a second opus French Kicks. We can find the paw of the Parisian duo, whether their pads with large chords, their groovy basslines or their melodies mixing fresh sounds and old school references.

With love...
DS X

Riding high off his freshman release for the legendary DJ SNEAK, DESTRADA is back with his second release. A three track EP of edgy & at times out of control dance music that will remain in DJ crates for many years to come. Played by LUKE SOLOMON, STEVE BUG, SNEAK & MARK FARINA. (POTS N' KETTLES)

Based in Bath, UK and born out of a love for drinking tea and dusty rhythms. Mint Tea is a platform that searches for up and coming talent within an emerging scene. In this blend, a various artists release with producers from four different countries curated into the perfect accompaniment for late nights or early mornings. With tracks from Moda, Raar, Akasha System and James Henry the release combines a beautiful balance of influences from ambient, lo-fi, techno and house.

In this oversharing era, uncommon is for an artist to choose to remain in total anonymity. Even for the Easytiiger teamwork, the real persona behind the Model Nice act is still a complete mistery - actually not a problem when the sound speaks for itself. The debut EP 'Nice To Meet You' arrives with four raw dance burner gems, including a futuristic arp killer remix from the lemon-fanta guy, Pépe, for the song 'Cravo Amargo'.Besides the rough-shaped aspect of the sound, this EP reveals a very sharp and sophisticated production, with complex element layer works that could perfectly fit as the soundtrack for a Blade Runner microcosm built inside of a night club. 'Nice To Meet You' invites you to this journey through a particular soothing world, surrounded by a complex & confessional mood without saying... well, a single word.

Olsen's first release on vinyl, surely not his last. Melodic, dreamy and understated.

This 3 track EP can be called a classy KANN record that puts the never lost house feel into a contemporary dance robe. Once again the label boss duo convincing with a signature record.

Born in the high north of Germany and now a Berlin resident, Ralf Schmidt aka Aera first appeared on the electronic music map when he established his own Aleph Music label back in 2010. With only a handful of releases, Aera was able to lay out his very own musically topography on the cutting edges between house, psychedelia and breakbeats.

This colourful mix culminated on his debut album 'Offseason Traveller' in 2013, resonating the past forty years of electronic music, which brought him the attention of a wider audience as well as fellow djs and producers. So it was a logical consequence that his talent also attracted other labels and lead to widely praised releases on Innervisions, Maeve or John Talabot's Hivern Discs. With these, Aera's sound bloomed further into bubbly acid and trancey territorries and his fine reputation as a singular producer, travelling dj and remixer flourished.

With - The Sound Path' Aera continues his musical travels and Permanent Vacation is gladly hitchhiking on that ride. His second album is the most coherent and definitely most personal work to date. Here, he has perfected his sound even further - adding nuances from the meadows of New Age, Kraut cliffs and high-flying kites of Ambient. Complete with the cinematic and nature-esque qualities of Ralf's music, it will draw you in deeply through a great variety of landscapes before your inner eye. However, you'll never lose track, because this path is beautifully illuminated.

the italian duo boot & tax got already one lp and four eps under their wings who all deliver house and techno that stands out.
so far their records been published by glasgow's finest optimo music and meant records from paris.
now the two give their debut for endless flight and release three tunes that listen to the name 'dimension'.
they all got funk, they all love mesmerising melodies. you can feel the power of disco coming in with heavy seducing strings.
you can get lost in echoed drums, trippy sounds and some oriental tones. and you also can march to cosmic techno that loves krautrock without embracing it.
a multi-coloured ep that spreads deepness in an uncommon sense. if moves the heart and soul profound, while staying edgy and catchy.

"Introducing Basic Vision, a new imprint releasing a vinyl series of rare classics from the legendary back to basics club. Selected and compiled by the man who played the first ever record at the club, original resident DJ Ralph Lawson, on this release joined by long term resident Tristan Da Cunha on selection duties. All the tracks are cut to vinyl from the original master recordings and given enough time on high quality vinyl to ensure clean, loud pressings with original artwork by the godfather of punk design - Jamie Reid.

The artwork spans across 4 records, which collected together will make the compete picture.

Basic Vision 003 heavily features the birthplace of house, Chicago, with a selection of rare cuts that always move the dance-floor. The highly sought after OG Freak mix of Cassio Ware - I Wanna See You Dance rocks the spot on the A side. This is the original Black House version and not the remixes or re-edits that can be found. Mark Grant and Cajmere only made one record together as The Chicago Connection and it was a true bomb. Mint copies go for L75 but Cajmere's remix is included here and cut loud from the original master recording.
The flip side features a cheeky sneaky as we like to call them in the shape of a lost Johnny Fiasco remix of Armando - Don't Take It. A Mint copy of that cut alone will cost L150. Basic Vision 003 is rounded off nicely with Da Rebels - House Nation Under a Groove, baby !

After the success of the Joe Cleen EP, Jazz Cabbage returns in purple with a special new draft in the team: Daisuke Kondo from Okayama - Japan. After spending his teenage years playing bass in local psychedelic bands, Daisuke finds his calling through Detroit soulful house, and delivers here a well rounded punchy deep house EP with distinctive Jazzy harmonies & percussions.
On the flip is french broken beat Don Kaffe Crème doing what he does best... Follow the Cabbage!

Derek Carr is smoldering hot at the moment. His every release is being greeted as an instant classic by the Deep House community. So it seems well-timed, then, that he'd run headlong into Love Notes (from Brooklyn), who have been on a not unimpressive run themselves. Perhaps expectedly, this Detroit vibes abound on the record, from the rich strings of Sidewinder (the most dancefloor friendly track here), through the spaced out breakbeat of the title track, down to beautiful, UR-esque closing strains of Indigo. A well curated EP from an artist at the pinnacle of his game.

Based in Colombia's capital, Bogotá, Felipe Gordon's sound is testimony that both challenges and reinvigorates the burgeoning colombian house movement. His statement is built of resonances inspired by other decades, Bogotá, cold, streets and messy youth. It's not surprising when we hear pianos and classic acid house lines paired with jazz samples and funky bass lines. His ability to mix this complex sounds into club music has made Gordon into a renowned and prolific producer (Nomada, Toy Tonics, W&O Street Tracks, Sampling As An Art). One to watch. Nuff said. Welcome to Quintessentials!
