Kohib, AKA Øivind Sjøvoll from Sortland in the north of Norway, has been an important part of the club-scene in the town of Tromsø (the birthplace of the Northern Disco scene) since 1997, first as a DJ, later as a club organizer. In 2012, he started a string of dancefloor EP's, and the first one, "Solar Day EP", had a fairly limited distribution outside Norway. So, here is finally a "proper" re-release! The "Solar Day EP" is a rousing four-tracker of superb dance tunes. The selection features prime examples of Norwegian electronic music ranging from nu-disco to slinky house music to downtempo electronica. "So Good" leads the pack with a high charged house music rhythm, fancy bursts of percussion and bass line pulsations, and the appealing vocals of Dagny (yes, "that" Dagny, of "Backbeat", "Wearing Nothing" and "Love You Like That" fame) which beckon the listener to "take off all your clothes and dance with me!" This one's begging for immediate deployment on the dance floor. Kohib touches on more Italo-flavored grooviness with "Don't Tease The Bumblebee" which rides and glides like the flying insect in the title should. A bouncy low end and floating synths add to the cosmic romp. "Escape Velocity" lessens the tempo but fizzles with intriguing elements and melodies. Seemingly plucked synth lines and rolling, reverb-ed arpeggios evoke slow-motion bob-sledding across the Norwegian tundra. The set closes with the eponymous "Solar Day", a mildly uplifting piece withdriving drums, buzzy, throbbing synth action, and more delicious Italo-inspired loveliness. This one builds to a stirring climax and closes the EP in grand style.

Matlock's finest Rhythm Plate resurface brandishing a new label in Pressed For Time, and what better way to inaugurate it than revisiting one of their key tracks. Released back in 2002 on the Mantis label run by Atjazz, "Lean Part 2" was a wonderfully sleazy slab of deepness notable for the lascivious vocal hook that hung slinkily over the production throughout. It still sounds superb some 13 years on and is backed with an unreleased version that was done in the same period, along with deliciously freaky new "Leaner" mix from the pair.

Trikk's follow-up on the Innervisions imprint is an evidence for his deeply anchored exploration of combining the mystical modern and traditional percussive to create new visions of House.

After two outstanding tracks on Paerels, upsammy is back with a solo EP full of window shattering sci-fi electronica. Zona and A Window form the dreamy framework of the EP. In between these melancholic songs a rougher club-oriented side is shown. Bright beats, sizzling rides and crips melodies, all designed to take you to Another Place.

The new ef ort from Brazilian label Easytiiger.Easytiiger__001 comprises 4 songs by 4 new acts - Mootron, BRZLN Air, Cacos and San Y Mayo. 'No Rave', a rebellion-track led by drunken synthesizers by Mootron, fl oats between bending arps, sharp leads and echoverb nukes land on a big fat drum kick and bright laser shots hi-hats - no rave! 'Detroit', by the young producer BRZLN Air, contemplates an ode to the whole history on electronic music that made the american city be known for what it is: drums, synths and love, a pure obsession. Cacos brings to life his exquisite dream-lover 'Sarah', a dark & mystic techno combined with elements of obscure chant rhythms - it's Sarah. San Y Mayo closes the 4-song compilation marching from the sea into the jungle - you might know what to expect but it doesn't mean it's there.

For the third release on Kwench Records, Cassy collaborates with Stockholm's Art Alfie. Between them they deliver two diverse tracks brought together with a touch of class and Cassy's distinct vocal. For the remix, German DJ / Producer Chris Count rounds off the EP by delivering an acid tinged version of 'Solar'.
Although quite different, Cassy enjoys both Art Alfie and Chris Count's productions for similar reasons. 'Their music is produced so stylishly. You can tell they have put a lot of time into really listening to music. They know how to build in a natural way. I love that we have ended up with three totally different tracks on this release.' - Cassy Art Alfie enjoyed a successful 2017 as a solo artist. His first project of the year, the 'Reveries Of' LP, released on none other than Studio Barnhus. This was swiftly followed up by another solo effort on his Karlovak imprint he runs alongside Mr Tophat. Both releases garnered plenty of support from across the DJ spectrum. He was one of the first people I sought after collaborating with when I first had the idea for the label'
Although on the circuit for some time with releases on the likes of Dopewax, Intec, and Universal Music, Chris Count is a more recent and exciting discovery for Cassy, she is a big supporter of his releases.'Chris Count makes fucking great music! The label will be an outlet for Daniel Jacques his own music productions and its debut release, entitled 'Discovery Change (Part 3)', is the first part of a tetralogy vinyl project. When putting the four separate covers of the releases together, it will depict one large image of a very important person in his life. All songs of the project have been created between 2005 and 2015 and the music will be pressed on 180 grams vinyl (12 inch).

The timeless Silverlining - Pearl divers track from 1996 gets a re-issue on Ark to Ashes with 2 fresh remixes from StarDub & Matt Star. This EP goes deep into Dub territory. We'll let the jams speak for themselves..

New UK based imprint aiming to bring you atmospheric and emotional treats that toe the line between bass heavy, electro leaning, house & techno and everything in between. The label's first outing comes from the duo Thread.

Tabor kicks of the release and it's a motorik workout that combines elements of minimal techno and acid, with a squelchy bassline and moody synth melodies all carried along by tight percussions.

Dalling is a straight up electro jam, a galloping start/stop percussive pattern, ever-present pads with more layers of squelch added for maximum effect.

On the flip Brackenbury picks up a couple of notches on the BPM counter - driving proceedings to 130+, a proper heads down techy number with elements of micro house, filled with quirky sounds and lush pads layered on top of syncopated percussive patterns.

The final cut on the EP Conningham does away with all pretences and hits you in the face with another dose of unrelenting space music. Heavy bass line, crunchy electro percussions and sci-fi atmospheric pads rounding off the first release in style.

Timothy 'Heretic' Clerkin has a new record out. This new record is called Serenade. It is out on Ransom Note Records. It is three tracks from Timothy and one remix from Marlon Hoffstadt. All four tracks are winners. They sound like the '90s remade by people too young to remember the shit bits. There are breakbeats. There are acid lines. There are weird samples about drugs. There are things that sound like Orbital. There is no time wasted.

Timothy has released other music on other labels. Some of them are Relish, Days of Being Wild, NEIN and My Favourite Robot. He is a fine DJ. He has only ever been seen to eat soup. He wears tweed. He was once the fastest barman in West Yorkshire. His record is coming out in a limited edition of 300 12' copies. It will also be on digital. It is the 7threlease from Ransom Note Records. Adesse Versions has been dropping some choice originals and edits on a host of renowned and respected labels for the last four years and we're proud to add him to the esteemed list of artists to release on Delusions Of Grandeur.

From early white labels on Make Love In Public Spaces and his own Adesse Versions label through to his recent outings on Heist, Numbers, Razor n Tape, Let's Play House and Local Talk, he continuous to impress with his raw, sample-heavy production which brings pure energy to the dance floor.

For his Pulp Fusion EP, Adesse presents three diverse and brilliant cuts, all showing off his deft touch in the studio and providing what we feel is his strongest work to date. Pulp Fusion leads the A side with cutting clavinets doubling up the syncopated bassline, a super-charged romp where disco meets filtered house resulting in a track with widespread appeal despite its raw and underground approach.

The A2 entitled Fade Out drops the BPM's for a string-drenched, Philly soul jam, heavy on percussion but with a gentle lilt and Balearic vibe that makes it perfect for the wind down.

Last but definitely not your average B side filler we have the mighty Raw in it's Live Edit incarnation. Militantly minimal in sonic palate, this jacked up house track simply rocks the spot thanks to Adesse's ballsy arrangement,production prowess and nasty bassline, rounding off this EP with a punch

After their joyful meeting back in the Cloverleaf Days, Smallville Buddies Jacques Bon and Christopher Rau
are finally back as a team to present two jams of rough-but-sweet house music. Jacques is running the Paris-
dependance of Smallville in France, though living in Hamburg since a while. He recently released on Berlin-based
label Aim. Christopher Rau, well-known in the world of house after records on Pampa, Ethereal Sounds, DÈrive
and of course Smallville- just to name a few. Together as Bon & Rau, they travel along the blurry side of the
moon.

Following the first two elegiac notes to our dear lost Cindy, Palmbomen II's third dedication arrives with the last 12' available independently of the four piece set and a new episode of Real Talk.

Throughout Memories of Cindy Pt. 3, voicings from the Palmbomen II paradigm are pared down to their vascular essentials. Pumping iridescent, melodic acid house through club fog and Californian smog on Ultimate Lovestory Fantasy,' Teleac,' and Disappointment Island,' the nearly hymnal qualities of Wilco's Funeral' and Fat Director' counter the dance cuts and commemorate Cindy with colors reminiscent of Schmoelling-era Tangerine Dream as twisted by Kai Hugo's melon.

The moniker of acclaimed production/DJ duo Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe - have been making moves and making music together for almost a decade now. Playing free and easy with the pitch control, the Moscow magician conjures up a space disco body mover complete with tripped out vocals, chunky guitar and nebulous synth lines. Sticking with the moods and grooves of the Mediterranean,
Over on the flip we have "Stop! Let's Slow Down" powering into the peak time in a shimmer of sequins as it supercharges a boogie vintage for the modern DJ. The finest floor shaking boogie reheat since Tiger & Woods last hit a hole in one, this is gonna raise the temperature at any party worth its salt. Phil takes us home with a spaced out version of an all time Italo classic. Reworking the percussion and looping up that low slung baseline, our host supercharges the groove for modern club deployment, rounding off another essential release from your favourite edit imprint.

In his hands, a tool as simple as a hammer that blocks the arm of the record player creates a loop with a taste of eternity. Two or three such hammers can create musical galaxies far beyond the reach of traditional instruments, where no human ear has ever been before. From unidentifiable rumble and grinding to brilliant instrument-snippets and comical voice fragments, Philip Jeck glues sounds together as if they where never meant to exist on their own. Whether it be Pachelbel's Canon or some mid-90s dance music that's on Philip's vinyl, but what we hear in the Vinyl Coda is his very unique musical voice - articulated with a perfect sense for structure, suspense and sound

After playing Lovestar to death we reached out to see if Sebastien was still feeling in an emotional mood. We discovered quickly that, in fact, this is where his creative heart lives and breathes. The two tracks featured here were conjured up (in a daydream we like to believe) in time to play out at all the Summer closing events in the USA and on Be@TV's coverage at the BPM festival and our South American tour. Already loved. Already "track ID'd and already to create more magical moments.

Every now and then a release comes along from out of nowhere with little fanfare, no social media or extensive PR campaign enabling those who discover it to simply focus on the music without bias or preconceived ideas which can so often cloud our judgement these days. The Hypochondriac EP is one such release, bringing four diverse tracks which veer from the heavier percussive groove and goose-bump inducing Rhodes of the title track through to the spaced-out, soul-drenched vocal workout Existential. on Movement and Ghosted we're treated to deep and tracky shuffled grooves and 90's inspired NYC deep house with a nod to Dopewax and Henry Street. Simply put, this is the kind of record that back in the day would be your secret weapon for many years with all four tracks working their magic in different sets in different situations and places. From the vaults! 1992 KMS records pressure straight from Detroit, still capable of causing much damage on dance-floors in 2016! This 4 track monster pulls together a pretty heavy cast of Detroit Techno and deep House royalty in the shape of Chez Damier, MK and Derrick May all contributing various mixes and versions across the EP. If deep, driving, soul drenched House is your bag you will be in heaven with "Can you feel it", a truly classic slice of sophisticated dance music indeed. All of the mixes are killers, but it's the "MK Dub" mix, also known as the "New York Dub" that really steals the show, here MK and May combine to craft a classy, slamming, emotive string driven jam that pushes all the right buttons. As usual, essential retrospective action here from one of the most legendary dance labels out of Detroit. All tracks remastered and fully licensed with the sole permission of Mr. Kevin Saunderson. 100% legit and not ready to quit!

A great four tracker of old school 90's sounding deep house from french producer Frederic Boeuf aka Concept e25. His passion for electronic music was ignited in the early 90's when he discovered labels such as F Communications and FNAC. Since then he has continually been developing his sound and exploring new and diverse ways of making music. Frederic Boeuf aka Concept e25 has released most of his music on the classic label Skylax. This his first release on Swedish Brandy Productions. Don't sleep on this one. Play it and get rewarded !

Guede Remixes is a remix compilation of DJ Hell taken from his 5th studio album Zukunftsmusik. The release features two remixes by Joyce Muniz and one by Paul Nazca. Guede's soundscape is acidic yet minimal, with its distorted vocals and raucous instrumentation lending the track an eerie and at times ethereal vibe. Each artist brings a uniquely different perspective on the sound of the original cut, whilst never completely abandoning the track's core identity. Paul Nazca infuses it with trance, Joyce Muniz keeps the acid and adds the deep.

KC is a legend and at this stage in the game he doesn't need an intro, every single track featured here is an absolute winner, all drenched in that classic Kerri swing and style. Timeless productions. It's hard to pick a favourite as they are all amazing, every possible mood is covered making this whole 4 track EP your new 'always in the bag' staple. From the driving upbeat funk of 'Where is love' to the totally stripped back tribal diva sampling 'I remember' KC has you covered. It may sound cliched, but they simply do not make them like this anymore! Essential, essential business here from one of the true masters of the game. 100% classic.
