House Vinyl New Releases - News

Hamburg based hafendisko has been re-
sponsible for some incredible output over the
last few years, and are noted for their judici-
ous selection of remixers.
This vinyl only release confrms the fact -
a selection of four shimmering remixes of
hafendisko material including a new remix by
Smallville's Julius Steinhoff which is exclu-
sive to this vinyl release. His rework of 'Alive'
- a new track by hfn's highly rated Ebb - is a
sublime slice of deep emotional house music,
strings, keys and synths interplaying perfectly
with gentle vocals form the Swedish outft.
Brynjolfur's new track 'M25' already receives
brilliant feedback from those in the know, and
it's Mihai Popoviciu's remix that get the nod
here - crafted for the dance-foor but at the
same time deeply musical and moving.

Similarly, Jacob Bellens' 'Polyester Skin'
- taken from the upcoming correspondent
album - receives an outstanding remix treat-
ment by Tuff City Kids (aka Gerd Janson
and Phillip Lauer).
Lydmor & Bon Homme's 'Dream Of Fire'
with a remix by Johannes Brecht - also
features here - a subtle, affecting mix that is a
secret weapon for discerning dance-foors.

Crystal Structures brings three very special people together for it's third release - Christian Rindermann (C-Rock, Dubstar) of Germany & the icelandic dub techno artists Exos & Thor. The A side (Icelandic Side) consists of one part hard hitting acid techno courtesy of Thor - "Pleasure Dome". Following up, Exos brings his A game to the table with a trademark dub track by the name "Milkshake". Flip side consists solely of Christian's tracks (Germanic Side) with two of his monikers signing two very different tracks - "Sonics Argenta" speaks for itself as a future classic in the genre while "Crystal Society" rounds of the ep nicely, taking a step back into deeper territory. All tracks are unreleased to this point. Vinyl only.

Completing the package is the most famous Newcastle producer in Mexico right now, Man Power.

RFBCOLOURS 004 is aimed at the dark, jazzy smokey affairs. From the off u can see the imspiration fro the EP title with the a1 track from Sombro and Embezzlement Society capturing a low end, horn sampled groover with rough claps and an undeniable groove. Georgi Barrel delivers again with something that will warm up the coldest clubs or capyure you on sunset terraces. Long Island Sound hit the pianos hard on the slower paced but equally as grabbing and tense "Grit". Label owner Jamie Trench rounds off with Night Lanterns which is a track thats been waiting for a space on wax for a good few years now and fits beautifully with the rest of the EP.

Monologues Records' vinyl-only various artists series returns for its second volume with four hot trax. Long-time deep house guru Nail follows-up the successful re-issue of his classic 1996 album 'Big D's Lounge' with an absolute bubbler in the form of 'Decisions', all skippy percussion, woozy keys and slinky double bass. SMBD (commonly known as Brownswood regular Simbad) provides a stomping disco cut-up on 'Captain', a big track propelled by a crunchy, chunky rhythm. Athde remixes American spoken word poet Kamal Imani's 'Cosmic Being' in a lush lo-fi house way with jazzy keys and warm bass, while G. Markus rounds off with the mystical Afro jam 'Moon Face'.

Slam and Obscure Shape & SHDW step up for the second wave of Radio Slave 'Grindhouse' remixes on Rekids this February.
One of techno's most iconic records, 'Grindhouse' first appeared on Radio Slave's 'No Sleep' series before spawning multiple remixes from Dubfire, Danton Eeprom, Terence Fixmer and Nic Fanciulli. Kick-started by Len Faki, last year saw the announcement of a series of remixes with more to come from Vatican Shadow, Markus Suckut, Lady Starlight and Special Request.Complete with relentless kicks, sinister drones and industrial elements, Part Two is not for the faint-hearted. Starting with Slam, the Soma bosses keep things dark, with rattling top lines and echoing effects resulting in a truly decadent techno floor destroyer. Following a remix of Radio Slave's 'Vision' in 2016, Obscure Shape & SHDW's abilities are held in high regard by the Rekids owner and their rework of 'Grindhouse' reinforces why. Complete with a rumbling lowend, metallic melodies and soaring synths, the From Another Mind founders continue to establish themselves as two of techno's most exciting names.

Visionquest's Special Editions series returns this July with RILLS' 'You'll Never Be Alone', comprising four originals from the Italian artist. Turin's RILLS has been steadily gaining a strong following over the decade with his tracks being played the likes of Ar:Pi:Ar's Raresh, Daniel Bell, Dyed Soundorom and Cassy, and finding a home on imprints such as 8Bit, In Haus Wax and Esperanza. Here we see RILLS join the roster of Visionquest's vinyl only offshoot label, Special Editions, following material from Jorge Savoretti, Konrad Black and Quilla.
'Zorlak' opens the package and sets the tone of raw and dubby via murky atmospherics, swirling chord sequences and a swinging rhythmic drive, 'Yoda' follows and retains a similarly swung drum groove whilst introducing spaced out, unfolding pads across the composition.
'Stranger Freaks' kicks off the B-Side of the release, stripping things back to bumpy drums, heady resonant synth swells and hypnotic tension buildings drones before 'Paper Beatz' rounds out the package with smooth deep pads, modulating synth stabs and shuffling hats. RILLS' 'You'll Never Be Alone' is out on Visionquest Special Editions 7th July 2017.

'The Muse' Intergraded is a new label started by Midland to focus on releasing music by new artists, whether unknown, emerging or established but working under a new name. The first release sees Body in the Thames, Peach, Jay and Webstarr help inaugurate the label. The idea for the label came about after being sent unreleased music and ideas by a number of artists over the last year. As I plan to focus Graded on my own Midland solo work for the foreseeable future, and with ReGraded occupying a different aesthetic plane altogether, the logical step was to start a new label that could help introduce this music to a wider audience' - Harry Agius aka Midland

Late last year, we modestly celebrated the sixth anniversary of LPH Records by releasing a 10-inch that reconnected us with our very first EP by bringing back two of the artists who contributed to it, Runaway and Soft Rocks. Now, as a sort of companion to that, we have LPH___VI , a 7-inch that gives shine to a couple other names that have been spotted on LPH party flyers of old and back catalog credits, Jacques Renault and Daniel T.

Both these are fun, flavorful little disco nugs united by funky bass guitar fretwork and plenty of sassy woodblock, though Jacques' leans towards the goofy and daffy, whereas Daniel's brings some synth-pop seriousness into the frame. As befits the format, both hover around four minutes in length.

Vyvyan wants to keep his real identity secret, which is something I can't help but respect (I did the same for a couple of years).
Without the context of personality, the music really does do the talking, and in this instance it has a lot to say.
Both original tracks on offer here are unashamedly dance floor focussed disco / techno mutations, and they're both as compelling as they are fun. For remixes we've drafted in Paul Woolford, a genuine UK legend, who by this stage is irrefutably nestled in the top tier of the British electronic music Royal Family.
His remix perfectly displays the unconventional wit, and mastery of groove, that's propelled him to where he is today.
I imagine its the only track we'll ever release that begins on a breaks and baseline assault, and ends on samples of farmyard animals. Finishing off the release we have a remix by my dear friend Christophe (Futureboogie) in advance of his own artist EP on Me Me Me later this year.
Christophe skews the original's frenetic rhythms in to a vintage sounding bumping piece of machine driven house with an Italo-esque twist, which is as good as this description sounds.

Outstanding ep on the mighty Dolly again, who keeps on delivering at the highest level. Four equally strong tracks (of which three will be featured on Steffi's upcoming Panoramabar mix cd) by Dexter, Third Side, John Barera & Will Martin, and label lady Steffi herself. Crossing the thin line of contemporary house & techno with slight hints of acid and proper US deep house... but basically all just can described as strong & plain groove, for maximum dancefloor delight. Strong!

Udopiya is introducing its record label under the name of "Udopiya Dusk & Dawn" offering a mirror of talented artists (across the planet). The label draws its source from HISHAM's musical univers - who's the multi-instrumentalist of Udopiya's family.

The EP will be the first of 4 Opus composing his debut album
«synesthésie générale» and opens with 'JOY' & 'BLUE' on the Dusk Face. 'JOY' takes you to a cold funk and cinematic atmosphere - led by a heavy bass line and tempered by a dreamy piano. 'BLUE' has a pumping and solid drum within a celestial ambiance...waiting for the bells. On the Dawn Face , while confusion becomes happiness, Melanoman and Aqualung are taking over. The liquid and organic drums of Melanoman keep
your body on earth, while a simple naive piano uplifts your soul : a pure emotional journey. AQUALUNG is a neoriental track with a percutant drum and an aerial piano, which has been inspired by the arab diva Oum Kalthoum .

If « synesthésie » denotes the ability to see music in colors, Hisham initiates here the « synesthésie générale » and expresses a state of sensory fusion between music, colors and moods. The project is gracefully delivered with calligraphied paintings as artwork, courtesy of the irakian artist Hassan Massoudy. 180g vinyl.

Jayda J with Alexa Dash is back on Freakout Cult. This time with some proper diva bitch house. Three tracker with Jayda G's vibey house style and Alexa Dash demanding devotion vox. Includes Jayda G remix and Alexa Dash accapella. Jayda G's excellent new record will also be followed up by a soon to come Diva Bitch remix pack. So get the original while its hot and available.

Furnished with undulating electronics and intricate drum patterns, the tribal elements on last year's World Tour 1 EP border on exotica, and equipped with rainforest FX, the label's sophomore release finds itself under the same sonic umbrella. A 15-minute opus layering 303s, massaging pads and swinging drum patterns into a heady collage, title track 'Drømmen om Ø' evolves from leisurely stroll beneath sun-dappled flora into an acid-fuelled trek, hacking the way through an overgrown jungle trail, machete in hand.

""Tenderness" is four cuts of emotional dance music from Super Tuff label head, M. Vaughan. With galloping shakers underpinned by a weighty sub-bass, the A1 cut Moon River is a blue-eyed peak time anthem. Turn Around! Is an A2 track with heavy duty low end and a tender pitch shifted vocalia wonky patchwork of melodies that sums to something reminiscent of early Herbert. For the B-side, "Tenderness" at 117 BPM is a soft, opening tune that serves up a breaky drums, liquid pads, and a well-placed harp solo. "When it All Happens..." is a DJ Aakmael inspired groover that leaves the EP with a driving kick, chunky Moog bass, and a vocal sample wailing out from the pains of heartbreak. Don't cry! Get intimate with a brand new copy of M. Vaughan's "Tenderness" from Super Tuff.

Strap yourselves in as Post Pluto takes flight with French duo, RBDP, on their fresh self-titled EP. The record features four tracks of high altitude cruisers, soaring through the elements of acid, deep house, breaks and dubbed out synths. We depart the
troposphere with "Acid R", a mellow and low-end fusion of dubby textures and acidic lines. "Like Dat" follows, with moody pads, percussive grooves and celestial tones. On the flip, "St San" takes the record into an acidic journey of 303 sequences and saturated 707 drum patterns, with a sublime zero-gravity remix by Red Ember Records bossman Ewan Jansen.

"The first original EP on deepArtSounds from Trinidadian Deep. Heavily influenced by afro rhythms & spaced out balearic atmospheres, he produced 3 cuts of emotional dancefloor soundscapes that create a perfect journey for club floors & music lovers. The EP features the smooth and wonderful vocals by Sarignia Bonfa and a remix by deep Explorer Artist Allstarr Motomusic.

The house music super group not from Paris but from Duisburg strikes back with their second 4-Track EP on So Glad Records !
And we are so fuckin glad to present you this random press text, translated with the help of google.

Libre'

A pounding bass drum, a clicking hi-hat and a popping clap is the base for a repetitive organ loop which is later surrounded by rattling jazz drum breaks and various keyboard licks. The appearance of french movie samples with dubby effects marks the breakdown, no matter if you´re dancing in the club or sipin' some brew in your favorite bar. This tune stands for the good mood and liveliness of Dimitri from Paris which meets up with Ludovic Navarre's continuation of jazz with electronic ingredients.

U know'
Deep House contemplation meets filter house aesthetics, along with cut-up samples, which reminds of Cassius in 1999-times. Classic stomping Roland drums, seemingly appearing dub chords out of the depths of the universe alongside mentioned filter rides with repetitive loops, occasional stabs and the fat analogous bassline make this track a powerful tool which will move a lot of crowds !

The Ep is completed with the two tracks She is a lady' and Belfast'.The first one is NOT a reminiscence to Tom Jones, but a fucking groovy sample work in the school of Stones Throw. Second one presents dusty breakbeats with reference to Norman Cook, joined by great strings, while some short synth figures are dancing on some soft organ chords. Adding filtered voice samples plus a few brass-like sounds and the 90s Flashback with a light UK flavor has succeeded.
Join the gladness and move your feet !

ManooZ : "Superb EP, will play these joints for sure!"

Quadrakey : "Awesome release! Just a bomb!"

Silence In Metropolis is back on vinyl with four hot tracks that span the underground spectrum from deep, soulful, tech to techno.

For those in-the-know know the name Desos (Deso Records / Tsuba). He joins the label with a deep cut Ah Sh' that has smooth overtures and a solid low end that will pump on a club sound system.

We here at SIM have been long fans of Demarkus Lewis and so we are very proud to have him involved on the label with his signature sound highlighted in Spirits High'. Soulful driving deep house at it's best. He's been in the game for a while and for a good reason.

The B side are artists no strangers to SIM. JMF whose Point To Yourself' EP was very well received returns to SIM with a Tech House stomper of a track: Slice'. With JMF's distinct percussive sound and the deep driving groove we have no doubt that this track will be played at a lot of underground parties.

Next up, SIM boys Jus Nowhere & Jackson Ryland are back with a Techno roller coaster that is 3467'. A deep, dark excursion with Jus and Jackson at the helm. These guys are SIM family and they always deliver quality cuts.

Four solid tracks on wax. Enjoy.

Khalab has arrived OntheCorner with 'Zaire'.
'Zaire' is the beginning of a new narrative for the artist. In this first chapter Khalab creates urgent compositions with layers of sound from the past, present and future. 'Zaire' is underpinned by an intensely pounding heart of other-worldly percussion. The collaged loops frenetically jab in syncopation breaking off when the inherent swing casts its discrete groove to summon the dance. Unrelenting waves of synthlines, basslines and rhythm find harmony amongst the melodic chants and distortion.
Already making Gilles Peterson's 'All Winners' list on BBC 6 Music'Zaire' is a breathtaking nucleus for airwaves, dancefloors and, any digital devices masquerading as abeatbox. The tracks 'Aeh' and 'Night in the Jungle' are the vessel from which the heat of 'Zaire' steams. DJ Khalab has departed and with 'Zaire' Khalab has arrived On the Corner.
The two remixes on this EP offer magnified oppositions to the friction that Khalab seamlessly stiches into his tapestries of sound. The bass frequencies that Medlarbounces across his electro dirge, taking day into night, contrasts with the harmony and light of Will LV's journeying remix that drives through the troposphere.
'Zaire' is a prelude of the forthcoming 'Black Noise 2084' and the freeing of a narrative shackled in chains for centuries. Phrases of historic recordings collaged with future electronics and the analogue depth and artistic voices of the present makes this a ground breaking work of future music. The archive recordings bare a stark reminder of the need to face the barbaric recesses of modern human history. The many voices of Khalab's 'Black Noise 2084' are coming to be heard.

- Please note: This item sounds a bit crackling, hearable on the soundfiles.
