THE TRIBE OF GOOD is a brand new supergroup collective headed up by multi Grammy-nominated dance producer Hal Ritson (Duke Dumont/Sigma/Dizzee Rascal/Katy Perry/The Young Punx/High Contrast... ) re-imagining the classic sounds of Soul, Disco and Funk for the 21st Century.

The debut track Loving You Baby' features production by Fatboy Slim's Skint records protege Thomas Gandey / Cagedbaby, and vocals from the exceptional dTale (Sigma / Dizzee Rascal).

After early independent copies were played heavily on BBC 6Music and playlisted by Mi-Soul radio plus FM4 and Ego FM in Germany the track is now back for a full release including a new house remix from Toolroom favourite Weiss who as had a superb 4 years in the limelight, remixing for the likes of MK, Icarus and Gorgon City. The Weiss remix was recently premiered on Radio One's essential mix by Pete Tong. It reached number 1 in the Buzz Chart (11-01-18).

The Tribe Of Good have completed a debut album and further limited run vinyl releases will be coming soon.

R&S founder Renaat Vandepapeliere launches a new series RV Trax, to reflect the sound of his DJ sets.
Re-invigorated and inspired by contemporary dance floor sounds, after 30+ years as the label owner and figurehead Renaat succumbed to the temptation to finally, at the tender age of 60, try his own hand at rocking the crowd.
Renaat's sets have seen him assemble a treasure trove of unreleased music that will now find a very personal home on RV Trax. Emblazoned with the Belgian national colours of black, yellow and red these tracks proudly flaunt their 'floor-filling dynamics. The first, a dance floor stormer from Steve Legget, remixing fellow North Easterners Bird Of Paradise's original - a tight punchy workout that pairs distorted 909 kicks against a high tension string part and melancholic synth pads. G-Prod (AKA French brothers David and Nicolas Gaugain) provide a balmy, motor-city style number - shuffling drums underpin sunrise synth washes and euphoric melodies. Buenos Ayres' Hermetics provide a frostier mood with 'Collider' - chilly FM bells pinned against serrated percussion and swirling distortion.

As Huntleys + Palmers events has drawn to a close, 2018 will see a big focus in releasing some brilliant new music and introducing some amazing new artists. First up is Wheelman - straight out of Glasgow and fresh off the back of his debut for our Studio Barnhus buddies. To our shame, it took a Kornel Kovacs trip to Rubadub to bring to our attention a real talent who was under our now the whole time! He'd even been to a bunch of our parties and we'd never made the connection..Righting this wrong, we promptly hit him up for music to include on a 'Clyde Built' compilation and they were so good, we designated the bulk of these tracks to this release - 5 absolute BELTERS!

Ron Allen and Hayden Andre are two artist names that some may not be familiar with outside of rare record aficionado circles, but they certainly deserve to have more credit. They crafted some of the most original, fresh, deep and interesting house and techno records to come out of their native Canada. Originally released in 1991, and the first release on their soon to be cult imprint Strobe, 'Metamorphasis' is a strong statement of intent, across six tracks Allen and Andre lay down a plethora of styles ranging from the deepest house sounds to more warehouse leaning bleep style tracks, deep sub bass, dreamy washing pads and taut drum programming are all the order of the day here and boy are we all the better off for it! This is essential stuff for all house and techno lovers out there, the real deal indeed!
The duo, and their label, went on to release numerous other future classics and gems during it's lifespan, some of which will now see the light of day again via a string of fully legit remastered reissues overseen by Ron Allen himself. A long time want by many, often expensive and topping the lists of those 'in the know' 'Metamorphasis' is now available again, as it was originally released way back in '91 with original Strobe artwork intact. Remastered and reissued from directly from Ron's personal source materials it's time these artifacts were made available again for 2017. A truly essential release!

Studio Barnhus' love affair with Lukas Nystrand von Unge continues with his second EP for the label, a collection of six tracks recorded between 2010 and 2016. From A1's sturdy take-'em-to-church organs, through a goulash of the sweetest, roughest lil' house jams you ever heard, all the way to B3's cut-up disco jubilation, this record is a perfect example of why the sounds coming out of Tensta Tape Academy remain so endlessly fascinating to us. Poppet is the bold alter-ego of California-raised musician Molly Raney. Before Poppet's genesis in 2008, Raney spent many years training in a wide variety of musical fields from western classical to jazz to choral to Hindustani (Northern Indian classical tradition) to Gamelan (Indonesian classical ensemble music). She also has an extensive background in music theory, music history, and ethnomusicology, from both her childhood lessons and her education at the University of California in Davis. Through high school and her time at UC Davis, she studied with vocal coach Dr. Rebecca Plack of the San Francisco Conservatory-a major influence on her vocal style and elasticity. This broad musical background, plus her involvement with community freeform radio station KDVS, accounts for Poppet's own sonic diversity.

Hailing from Mexico, Zombies In Miami have caught the ears of the electro disco faithful with outings for Correspondent and Love On The Rocks. The twosome are debuting on Bordello A Parigi with a pair of late night burners. 'Turquoise' is a sliding snaking piece of synthesizer sorcery. Crisp beats are draped in hazy harmonies, reverb soaked bars rising amongst soaring keys and echoed vocals for a work of true elation. 'Hipodromo' follows, and starts as it means to go out. Drums crash before a floor melting synthline is dropped. The swirl of the mirrorball takes over as this duo whisk you into the warm and melting sounds of strings, rich bass and climbing claps.

Following on from cuts from Melon, Uffe, Ponty Mython, Thorsteinssøn, Laurence Guy and Leon Revol comes the third release from London's Monologues Records.

The split 12" sees FINA/WotNot talent Danvers serve up the bruising, old skool tribal house tinged shuffle of 'Keep Right On' and the live bass funk and jazzy chords of 'Blind Method' on the A-side. A1:The Phase at Midnight has the strong House groove with heavy bass line and striking synth-phrase, will fit the midnight dance-floors as its song title. He produces the finest and beautiful Deep House Remix by composing the original parts and his parts with refinement in the track's structure. Mother of Mars is the latest evolution of Vito & Druzzi, two New Yorkers who have provided the 21st century with some of its most innovative dance music. The duo first came to fame as the rhythmic backbone of The Rapture, NYC pioneers who found global fame with their angular post-punk and howling disco. Since then Vito & Druzzi have had a prolific career as remixers and producers, producing leftfield disco killers for a range of labels including Warp and Throne of Blood. Seed 2 Sky - their first release as Mother of Mars - sees the duo fuse live krautrock drums with pulsating synth loops, creating two epics of space and rhythm that owe a debt to '70s kosmische pioneers like Tangerine Dream.

Taken from the 'Monk EP' released a few months ago, 'On The Loose' is an innovative track combining the dark bluesy vocals from Elbi with a unique brand of electronic soul.
Here is a special version produced by Mr Fingers aka Larry Heard. The result is a stunner: electronic samba beats, lush live keys, a simple but purely effective bassline, and an emotive cosmic touch that could only come from one of the pioneers of House Music.On the flip, Amsterdam-based DJ/producer Philou Louzolo is responsible of a great new version of 'Smokey' by Easy To Remember. Born in Tuscany in Arezzo, since 2008 the Italian duo by brothers Elia Perrone and Niro have been running their own night at Klang Club and their label Unclear Records.
'Smokey' is a tasty boogie track and Philou Louzolo draws on his Congolese, Sierra Leonian and Nigerian heritage taking us on an exquisite journey combining soul, funk, disco with his funky afro-infused touch. The track anticipates a brand new Easy To Remember EP set for a release later in the year.

Kidnap Kid's versatility is what shines here. Treading a winding path, he originally made his home on the Black Butter label, but has since spread his wings to encompass a more underground aesthetic. This journey has led to the conception of Birds That Fly, a home for his own and other likeminded producers and a platform that will no doubt be a compelling force in the coming months. The vocals on 'Moments' belong to singer and songwriter Leo Stannard, who at only 20 years old is also part of the Black Butter family, and was recently supported by BBC Introducing

Miss Jools finally steps inside with her deep and groovy signature sound with her first EP on Sol Asylum with a remix from Dana Ruh. We instantly fell in love with Stepping Inside," this beautifully crafted atmospheric groover is destined to be a timeless gem. Followed by Dana Ruh's swingy reinterpretati that is finely crafted for the dance floor while still keeping it's original sophistication. We are definitely not sorry to have this spaced out deep roller with a nice melodic surprise in the middle titled Sorry Not Sorry.' Then wrapping this package beautifully together is 444 Marjorie' a more classical approach to deep house but always with a modern twist with a dedication to someone very special to Jools.

Molecule returns with a new odyssey both physical and musical. Following the success of 60°43' Nord, his concept debut played, recorded and mixed on a fishing boat during a 34-day journey in the Atlantic Ocean, the French producer decided this time to take the process further up North and embarked on a voyage to Greenland. Isolated for five weeks in the small Inuit village of Tiniteqilaaq, Romain Delahaye used his 'survival electrokit' to find new sounds in the fjords, the icefields and the hostile yet dazzling landscapes surrounding him. Entirely recorded and mixed in this remoted place, the tracks of -22,7°C range from contemplative ambient atmospheres to more upbeat techno blizzards and accurately translate this epic self-reflective adventure across a land of contrast, its abyssal silences, its immaculate glaciers and its blinding whiteness. With ten previously unheard tracks and very enthusiastic early feedbacks from medias internationally, -22,7°C is set to confirm Molecule's status as a one-of-a-kind producer in today's electro scene.

Serge Devant returns to the forefront with 'Always On My Mind' for Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels, complete with remixes from Kornél Kovács and Pirupa. First heard on Lazarus's Essential mix in 2015 and much requested since, 'Always On My Mind' has been causing tremors in its wake. Oceanic waves of melody frame muted vocals from Ali Love, resulting in a chiselled classic bridging the splintered sounds of today.Pirupa's remix is a shadowy monster with a deviant bassline, allowing the vocal to etch out shards of light. His recent groundswell is undeniable, mapping out a chart-topping string of releases on the likes of Drumcode, Desolat and Noir. Stockholm's Kornél Kovács has not escaped the spotlight in recent months, be it through his Studio Barnhus label that he runs together with Axel Boman and Pedrodollar, prolific releases on Numbers and Smallville and topping many end of year charts for 2015. His effervescent remix rolls up its sleeves to distill elegance into the original, extending the vocal and braising the beats and melody.
With this release Devant cements a triumphant year putting him back in centre stage after an accident that tore him away from the studio, and digs deeper into his production skills, adding to his growing repotoire of recent releases on Hot Creations' sister label Emerald City and Crosstown's cousin Rebellion. Devant mastered his craft at the legendary NYC nightclubs of the late 90s, Tunnel, Limelight, and Crobar, carving out consistently compelling and dynamic sets. His production career started in 2008 and soon spawned two albums, and a touring schedule that has since seen Serge circumnavigate the globe.

glers. The type of guys who surprise you when you least expect it. Those who have already outwitted your mind while you were still
awaiting the kick-off. How do Taron-Trekka manage this With perfect grooves that glimmer until late at night and beyond. Such that
create elegant, deeply soulful tracks which mix both of their various influences together as an original hybrid and magically release
tremendous amounts of energy.
