Noho records presents Hairy Edits ep, which gathers a bunch of artists at ease with the tape, already well known for their projects in the Brenta Studios as Muscle Records. Sagats & Madi Grein make up the brand new Brenta duo, stay tuned! The mysterious funky man Caio. Steve Murphy certainly needs no introduction, his productions with Die Roh duo and the legendary dj octopus raise the wind in Chicago! Last but not the least, another tape son, the great Sir Leon Greg (incarnation of Perseus Traxx)! His works on future flash and warehouse classic won the appreciation of the Noho guys. Bugsy hails from Milan where he is resident and co-host of the brilliant Take It Easy club night which brings many of the finest house DJ's to the city and remains packed week in and week out. With his featured producers Astroloop at his side Bugsy has come up with a quality debut loaded with fat, low-slung deep beats and Detroit-inspired grooves for Freerange entitled the Svegsy EP. The lead track sets the mood with mid-tempo loping beats that have 'Freerange' written all over them. We can't get enough of the simple yet satisfying warm-up vibe which oozes from this track. Understated, warm and relaxed yet with a bump and grunt which calls you to the dancefloor.
A2 is a track entitled New Vision where we find a straighter groove underpinned by a restless, pulsing, analogue bass and shifting block chords. With it's heads down attitude and simple, rolling arrangement this is Jimpster's personal favourite for banging on a big system. Flip over for the aptly titled Ghost Song. Here we get off-kilter vocals and fleeting glimpses of a melody which then disappear into the ether. All in all a slightly surreal yet groove-heavy track which has a charm of it's own.
Rounding off the EP we have Chicago house legend Boo Williams on the remix of Ghost Song, where he takes a minimal approach with a hint of acid but keeping his soulful touch. Enjoy!

Collected Works 1996-2017' champions an oft overlooked aesthetic in contemporary techno, opting for radiant bliss over darkness and placing the listener in enveloping soundscapes, admirable for their sheer detail and arrangement whilst never losing sight of the dancefloor.The realisation of this project follows a 3 year period of co-writing, programming and engineering on the new UNKLE album 'The Road' part 1, which is now released. Since 1996, an accomplished career as a producer, and sound engineer has granted him releases on labels including Tresor, Delsin, Void, Archive, Rush Hour and Ferox, as well as a monthly residency at Tresor in Berlin

Matthew Puffett, the artist most commonly known as Future Beat Alliance, presents a retrospective of selected works under his most lauded moniker. The name - taken from an Afrika Bambaataa sleeve - may have been a nod to the early-80s hip hop that was his first musical love while growing up in Oxford, but the music bore the unmistakable influence of the Detroit techno that had become his obsession. 'Collected Works 1996-2017' maps an illustrious discography over two decades and will be released on the artist's own imprint - FBA Recordings. Preceding the compilation, a brand new track entitled 'Chemical Cloud' will also be released. The realisation of this project follows a 3 year period of co-writing, programming and engineering on the new UNKLE album -The Road' part 1, which is now released.

After a clutch of killers for labels like Dolly, Supply & Argot, John Barera & Will Martin team up once again to smash out four powerful dancefloor heaters for NYC's esteemed Basement Floor.

After the label's first two EPs by Pit Spector and ToBa, Rose et Rosée strikes again with the first release by young and talented Sandro Ceyte. Originally from Montpellier, he currently lives in Nantes where he earned his spurs as a DJ with the collective Essential Groove. This digger and ec-lectic music lover also produces House and Hip Hop, and 'Message d'EP' brings together Sandro's diverse inspirations.'Message d'Ep' Opens with a House track embedded with Hip Hop influ-ences, 'Testin Me' follows with its ravishing groove with a sunny French Touch reminiscent of Pepe Braddock productions from the 90s. With Sandro, the Hip Hop of J Dilla is never far, as he proves with 'Sunday' - a sweet but punchy interlude that gives melody to the day after the night before... 'Quadrobeijos' brings a Latin touch to the record for a low-tempo cruise that sinks into your ears like a waterside warm-up set. The B-side kicks off with the hymn 'About Hip Hop', an irrefutable House tool with a warm and vibrant tone to get people on their feet. Bonus: the EP fin-ishes with a Micro House remix from brothers Ark & Pit Spector, who give their interpretation of the tracks in the form of a Caesar Salad. Mixed and mastered by Pit Spector and Tommy Tall, this record brings a message of peace and love to the dance floor.

Moods & Grooves welcomes Detroit area artist Jason Hogans best know for his debut EP Peter and the Rooster on Planet E. His introductory effort on M&G also features the multi-talented Paul Randolph."Sue" features Paul's effortlessly awesome vocal and bass guitar talents, funky Wurlitzer chords, and chunky drums. Andre´s gives "Sue" a proper deep bounce treatment with his stomping remix."Work The Terminals" is an animated, minor-key, wall-shaking analog bassline (ask his neighbor) & cracking drum kit with an LFO/filter-freaked sample chop chutney holding it all together on a funky house tip. Hot Creations revive Chicago's ghetto house scene with pioneer DJ Funk and German producer Rydim who deliver the pumping Ghetto Booty. A fitting addition to the release, Miami's Jesse Perez is on hand with solid remix.The title track is a real throwback to the era of ghetto house with it's straight up, stripped beats. Rydim explains 'this project is a dream for me! DJ Funk has always been my greatest hero in all things Chicago. Doing 'Ghetto Booty' with Charles was such a fantastic opportunity to bring all these energetic, uptempo Chicago vibes to today's dancefloors. It's a bouncing, killer of a track! The other 'Easy As That' is more of a DJ tool. It's the result of my latest drum computer, swinging like only these little machines can.' Rydim has been stirring up dance floors and releasing records under a variety of pseudonyms since 2002. Since his Rydim alias began in 2013, he has delivered releases for an enviable roster of labels including Hot Creations, Tsuba and Pets Recordings and his tours have included the electronic scene's most prestigious clubs.
Mr. Nice Guy Records label owner Jesse Perez has released on labels like Hot Creations, I'm A House Gangster, BPitch Control and Eats Everything's Edible. His music always has a tongue in cheek charm and this latest remix is no exception, as he brings a heavy dose of funk and swing into the mix.

Al Zanders makes his debut on Phonica's main label after a sold-out release on sister label Karakul and also Wolf Music, Blind Jack's Journey and his own AZ label. The double A-side kicks off with 'There is Rhythm', a percussive house anthem with plenty of momemtum, a tom-tom bassline and 'rhythm' vocal samples and that's even before the sun-soaked pads and euphoric synth stabs come in. On the flip, 'Song About A Dream' is far more of a collage - made of unconnected genres and styles, inspired by DJ Shadow - all tied together with the common theme of dreams. Shimmering astral keys and psychedelic guitar feature heavily alongside a vocalist and full choir; its a unique combination of different parts that show Al Zanders' versatility - it really doesn't sound like anything else.

Having already earned his Balearic stripes some time ago, as one of the resident DJs at We Love.... At Space in Ibiza, Ian Blevins has since relocated to Berlin, and has been immersing himself in the esoteric vibes of the city. On the strength of his latest EP on Futureboogie, this is clearly a good thing, as the 'Round Trip' EP is laden with the deep magical vibes that have also shaped his recent releases on labels like Banoffe Pies, Not An Animal Records, Blind Jacks Journey and ESP Institute. On 'Round Trip', an abundance of driving, arpeggiated synthesizers weave around sparse yet sturdy drumbeats, as thick pads rise and fall in dramatic fashion. Panthera Krause (Permanent acation/Riotvan/Lobster Theremin) is on board for the remix of 'Round Trip', re-shaping the original into a merry, space organ led, tribal dance; with a splash of garage house vibes that soon become immersed in its own synth heaven, it's a cracking remix from the Leipzig based producer. On 'Roland's Rat', Blevins keeps things tight with soaring strings, organ stabs a strolling bassline for a quality jam, whilst 'Can You Count My Dream' is a dense, and cinematic slab of transcendental dance, an almost claustrophobic atmosphere only intensifies the drama and delivers the heat that seals this superb EP from Blevins.

PIANO-HOUSE BOMB ALERT! The mysterious Joe Cleen joins the Jazz Cabbage troops with "Care while it lasts", a compact, euphoric & funky dancefloor tune, YGT adds their jazzy touch on the A2, while on the flipside Pink is for all the Madvillain fans that wished they could infuse that vibe into their set.

Finally Strip Steve endorses the Larry Levan / Todd Terry role to shine a new summer / hands in the air / garden house light to Pink. Overall a colourful and dancefloor oriented release!

He makes a come back here and delivers another fantastic track called Deep In which is a structured house track with built in funky vocals. City Fly are very excited to present their latest 12 inch, this time coming from long time friend of the label and all round powerhouse Kez YM. The Leicester label have long been representing for the East Midlands underground house scene, bringing local talent to the world and bringing global connections to their locale. Hot off the back of their 10th release celebration VA and a strong offering from legend Tim Toh, the Japanese connoisseur Kez YM is back with more of the goodness that has made him a favourite of the label from such an early stage.

The EP drips with Kez's trademark blend of deepness, kicking off with the heads down groover of 'Bump into the Sky'. Next up 'Eagle Eye' builds around crisp 909 drums and a super tight bass line. Pure classic vibes from start to finish. Over on the flip 'My Joy' is underpinned by deep, jazzy chords and finishing off we have 'Spiral Traffic' which takes things to a new tip entirely with an almost Latin feel to the chord patterns.

This EP brings together tracks that bookend Lee Norris' prolific career: two from 1998's sought-after Tidal Frequencies EP and two CD-only tracks from 2015's 'Soul Of The Machine' compilation. For fans, this is a welcome reminder of the sometimes visceral ('Instamatic'), sometimes weightless ('Fragile') but always deeply-felt sensation that Noriss' music continues to impress even on the most seasoned devotee. For new listeners, this is a comprehensive introduction to the career of a man whose sound has remained diverse yet cohesive over more than 15 LPs and twice as many 12's. 'Slowform' and 'Ride', both new cuts from last year's retrospective, show a dance floor progression that bodes well for his newest album, out in 2016.

After delivering the FH05, label co-owner Pablo Tarno is back at the controls with the FH09. The A-side features the more clubby cuts, ranging from the broken beat and dramatic jazzy piano chords of Horizons' to the more driving house beat and playful synth melody of 'Gunkan'. The B-side is all about the laidback grooves, Bitchplease' is a heavy dubby bass affair with serene pads that will lighten any mood, while Preemo' brings back Pablo's deep trip hop roots, closing off the record with a classy slowed-down number.

A long-term legend of the Detroit scene, Rick Wade is presenting three deep and organic house cuts on Moody Records, written with the soul and finesse that has gained him the reputation as one of the most influential deep house producers. Liem & Eddie Ness infuse their Hamburg-House sound with the remix to Insensitive, while San Proper treats us with a suprise remix which is digitally available through the link etched to the record. James Barnsley's imprint has reached considerable momentum so far with releases from himself, Scan Mode, DJ Honesty and DJ W!ld, not to mention remixes from Daze Maxim, Laura Jones and Burnski to name a few. In its fifth release Vessel sees the Leeds based label boss pair up with Irishman Gavin Herlihy, known for releasing on Leftroom and Apparel Music, under their newly launched Trackers moniker.
Hexagon paves the way forward with shuffling percussion, arpeggiated synths and mesmerising effects, before Memory Game delivers crunchy snares and dubby echoes.
Unison Wax and Beste Modus founder Diego Krause then takes his hand to 'Hexagon', creating a rhythmic rendition built on intricate drums and hypnotising atmospherics, until French duo S.M.A.L.L & PACO arrive under their Politics Of Dancing pseudonym to convert 'Memory Game' into a bass fuelled dancefloor workout.

Tact Recordings launch their new vinyl only sub-label 'Tactics' this November, with the first EP coming courtesy of Yard One, who deliver three excellently programmed cuts in the shape of 'Tactics Vol.2'.

Launched by Yard One, aka Jordan Bruce and Larry Jones, and Richard Fletcher (who produces under numerous guises including Adventures In Daydreams and Fletcher), Tactics is set to become the labels latest project with a focus on solely vinyl releases. Inspired by the 2012 Various Artists release 'Tactics Volume 1' on Tact Recordings, which featured productions from Isherwood (Sharingtones/Imprints/Lize Records), journalist Per Boisen-Moller, and label regular Luke Black, the sub-label is set to showcase a more stripped back and minimal side to the Tact Recordings family with releases coming courtesy of Yard One, Fletcher, Luke Black and their close friends only.

The EP opens up with 'Avenoir', a raw and hypnotic production that utilises a multitude of lasers, glitches and pops at the forefront to keep listeners firmly on their toes, whilst a delicate and captivating melody floats fluently amongst ever-evolving percussion shots and twisting bass licks below.

On the flip, 'Granular Movements' snakes its way through swinging drums and hazy, jazzy melodies to reveal an effortless rolling groove, before 'Hexad' keeps the focus on percussive elements strong, whilst a moody bassline goes to work under layers of meditative pads and subtle background nuances to punctuate an excellent debut offering from the label. WALK.MAN series. Big wide-eyed club womper 'Better Dayz' on the A and the subtler soul rolla 'Stay Away
From Music' on the flip. These go off. The WALK.MAN mixtape will be released in full on Cassette and Digital at the end of the
Summer.

French producer Jules Etienne reappears with a 3 track EP including a Jex Opolis remix on Barcelona's finest disco imprint Apersonal Music. Jules shows his most elaborated work to date evolving to a more band oriented production filled with plenty of live instruments and vocals as seen on "Free as a man" and "Dont want to talk about it". On the B side "Rhythm for the garden part I" is a mad ride driven by live percussions and a drum machine. Canadian producer Jex Opolis whos been releasing top stuff through his own Good Timin' label comes on board on the release remixing "Free as a man". Guilty pleasures all around.

Hold on to your sideburns, the Lionoil crew bring another debut EP to market in the form of Edinburgh local Passmore!
Jammed full of lairy disco chops, powerful aural emojis and tearaway string lines - these are no messing, all-year-round, hands in the air, tear jerking belters. Guest appearance from handsome Berliner Philip Budny, donning his mellow shades for a remix on the flip.

Kanja Records is sincerely honored to present its fifth vinyl release, based on a concept called Sunday Mornings. With this series of releases we will focus on that warm up, early morning, after party gems and slowly fading away from peak time music. Our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. Music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory.
Varuth by Olvap was definitely our first pick for the first track on this release. Warm and complex structure is something you will find expressed in all of his releases, especially with the track he presented on this release.
Holnap by Ztrl perfectly sits beside our opening track. Minimalistic beats and nice, smooth atmospheres really nicely round up the first side of this release.
Hoodwink by Jhobei stands strongly on our b side, with broken up beats and sweet atmospheric pads he surely deserves a place on our Sunday Mornings series.
Disperare by De La Munte is the final track on this vinyl release. A really special track, that has a very mysterious sentimental vibe nicely rounds up our fifth release.

Milky glass stands for a semitransparent, fragile barrier causing a diffuse glance onto life. It is about force, obsession, excess, consciousness, evolvement, liberation, reconciliation, inner conflicts, accomplishments and the intercourse with these subjects that were decisive for the genesis of 'Glass'. The debut album of Aparde.

Paul Camillo Rachel (Aparde) was able to give back the liberty to his musical output, that he consciously subordinated, limited and aligned. 'Glass' sounds more like breakout, more offensive, deeper insight with more attack, passion and maybe a little much of pathos. An unmistakable arrangement and atmosphere, accomplished through the usage of only self recorded material. Kind of urban and conceptional field recording of sounds in all kinds of
environments, selected and sorted by themes. thus, for the title 'glass' different kinds of glass were acoustically combined with other materials.

Selected analogue instruments and a reduced use of software resulted in an homogenized, warm and classical but specific character. Crystalline, organic percussion, vivid surfaces, sudden rhythms and extent atmosphere, which distinctively scatter throughout and complement the stereoscopic sound image. The own voice, which will also be part of the
upcoming works was out in a stronger focus. After a diffuse phase and adjacent relocation finally resulting in the availability of their own room for musical and personal development, the
songs originated between the end of 2015 and mid 2016.

Each and every song went through a lengthy process of development and many underwent a radical preadaptation around the start of 2017. The acoustic pattern of 'Glass' became more and more distinct. The album was then finalized an early summer of 2017 in an old cottage in
the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, a very unique lake district in the north of Germany. The homonymous title track summarizes the atmosphere of the album in a comprehensible way and is as well the oldest title on the album. The topic was visually translated by literally looking through a milky glass: intertwined limbs of elusive bodies, diffuse and bizarrely aesthetic.

Tief bring together Axel Boman, Mark E and Mr Beatnick for volume 1 in their 'Dancing from..' various artist Ep's. Boman's 'We Are The Key's' heads the Ep with trippy baselines, off kilter chords and rhythms.
Mark E comes correct with the appropriately named 'Jungle UFO', an atmospheric jam suitable for a warm up.
Tief mainstay Mr Beatnick delivers an acid tinged dance floor weapon with signature mpc programmed beats to round the Ep off - essential!

Following a double dose of newfound Los Angeles talent, Apron Records founder, Steven Julien (aka Funkineven) returns home with the debut release from London-based enigma, Molinaro.

APRON 35 is classic Apron Records material; five slabs of soul-drenched techno anchored by groove and grit from a new name with plenty of experience. Molinaro — who has honed his production and DJing craft for over a decade — is one of the capital's best technicians behind the decks. A skill most recently recognised by NTS Radio, who rewarded him with a regular monthly slot on the airwaves. The first of which shot straight into the NTS Picks for the week.

Opener "GIO" cements the tone from the off, drifting in with warm, enveloping pads, quickly joined by beefy drums and percussion in a five-minute sprawl out. "JTL" is arguably the standout; a boogie-influenced roller aimed at prime time dancefloor. "TY" and "MOLOW" showcase the deeper, moodier face of Molinaro's sound palette before the beatless 'SOFAR" rounds things out, paying homage to Ryuichi Sakamoto's synth brilliance.
Apron EP lands in November 2017 on both digital and 12" vinyl.
