Nonstop Nonsense is a massive barnstormer of a track, that's been massive for Jamie Jones; it's a bit of a beast! Dat Cream is a refreshing bass driven rib rattler of a track grabbing you by the scruff of the neck and shaking you senseless.
Joining forces to create a formidable duo are best friends Matze and Johannes. After bonding over a mutual love for hip-hop, breakdance and skateboarding they soon started to produce music together. Having previously released on Defected, Snatch!, Gruuv and OFF Recordings among others, this release is their debut on the grittier Hot Trax imprint.

We started 'The Classic Series' featuring tracks that we love, bought, played out and which we have the feeling more people should know about them. For this sixth release, It is a great honor for us to welcome such a living legend, a pioneer from the Detroit sound :Mr.De'. This project includes four brilliant rare cuts and timeless moments of Ghetto tech sounds from Electrofunk's catalogue. After over ten years of work as a producer and nearly twenty years of making electronic music, Mr. De' has a sound drawn from a number of funk-based urban sounds, blending them together into a composite whole that emphasizes up-tempo booty shakin' over the chin-stroking styles of techno. Following the release of his debut album and the continuing success of Electrofunk Records, Mr.De' has solidified his position at the forefront of Detroit dance music.Today, Mr.De' is the originator of pure ghettotech. At the helm of Electrofunk's distribution arm, he also controls the destiny of his fellow ghettotech peers in Detroit as they try and spread their sound outside of the city. Whether or not the rest of the world is ready for this Detroit-bred, post-modern style of urban music is an unanswered question, but there is no questioning the fact that Mr. De' may just be the most important man in that crusade.

Phuture Shock Excursions round up four artists for the next 'EXCURSIONS' release, which like the maiden 12' is another four-track compilation of genre-bending sounds. Representing this instalment is the ever-prolific bass music trailblazer Colin Lindo, better known as Nubian Mindz, Phuture Shock Musik mainstay Roof Light - who returns following his initial contribution to PSMEX001 two years ago, Graz's Simon/off aka Sun People under his latest alias Mighty Buha, and emergent Nottingham- based producer Cyclonix - who in the last few years has amassed releases on various labels including his co-owned End of Level Boss, Horn Wax, and Red Rack'ems Smugglers Inn.

All versatile producers in their own right, each contributor is given free rein to showcase an alternative side of their production repertoire across the EP's four distinct tracks, where some of the styles on offer are seldom heard in their more familiar work within the electronic dance music landscape.

Nubian Mindz leads the tracklist with 'Somebody Else', a deep gliding house cut that sees the veteran producer also take on vocal duties via his C.L moniker, and marks a full on deviation from the rugged, bass-heavy fare that he is renowned for. Next up, Roof Light ploughs a similar deep house furrow, but takes a more leftfield turn through a morass of hazy pads, stuttering vocal samples, and crunchy percussion over a crushed 4/4 groove with 'Hubble'. Flip over the plate and you'll find the sample trickery of 'Sunset' by Mighty Buha, who delivers an irresistibly funky disco edit that's guaranteed to ignite the dancefloor of any party. While Cyclonix wraps things up on a slower tip with 'On My Mind', which harks back to the classic sound of '90s downtempo - all bestrewn with mellow keys and soulful vocal snippets, complete with a broken beat rhythm that's reduced to a languorous tempo. Definitely one to wind down to on a lazy Sunday morning, following the post-raving blur of the weekend.

Following the monumental 100th release on the label from Jamie Jones, Hot Creations are set to deliver a heavyweight remix package of the No.1, chart topping Theme From S'Express from S'Express. Originally released in 1989, the acid house classic is remixed by Tuff City Kids aka Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer and Hot Creations artist Detlef.
Master remixers, Tuff City Kids deliver an Balearic tinged acid gem with a melodic touch for their take on the original, with an Acid Dub on the flip also on offer. The talented duo has remixed artists such as Arto Mwambe, Scuba, Tensnake and Azari & III to name a few. Incredibly, they have managed to maintain a relatively low profile, despite the steady stream of music they've released via well-respected labels like Rekids, Unterton, Delsin, Internasjonal, Permanent Vacation and Live at Robert Johnson.
Hot Creations and Paradise favourite Detlef delivers a driving, club ready version for his remix. In a short time he has released and remixed with well respected labels including Hot Creations, Relief, Knee Deep In Sound, Moon Harbour, and Defected earning support from the likes of Green Velvet, Marco Carola, Matthias Tanzmann, Hot Since 82, and Jamie Jones to name a few.

Trudge embarks on the second expedition into the exotic lands of palm trees and blue skies with his ambient and dreamy 'When The Rain' EP on Lost Palms. Expedition two features four jams packed full of breakdowns, breathtaking soundscapes and lo-fi esque drum sequences.

Love Potion is very pleased to introduce this killer 12" by Viktor Birgiss.
After creating some serious buzz with his live set at the impeccable Sónar Festival in Reykjavik last year, this 12" is further proof that the dude is full-fledged.
'Tomorrow' is a gorgeous deep and twisted melodic cut, topped with a soothing vocal. On the flip you find 'Shine' and 'My Neighbour'. 'Shine is a warm and bouncy cut, perfect for the summer terraces. 'My Neighbour' is more direct and raw, drifting on a rhythmic swell of percussions and a hypnotizing vocal loop, it really sums up this EP and what Viktor Birgiss is capable of.

The tenth release of the Nottingham based, vinyl only Leftback calls upon the talent of the two label co-founders delivering four intimate and personal works culminating in a lucid, yet non-linear and highly evocative record.

Dudley Strangeways opening track 'Hallam' showcases acute sounds full of colour which introduce themselves along it's steady tempo. Once leaving these territories, Strangeways makes his way to a more nocturnal perspective with 'What's Wrong', shaped with metallic unceasing tones filled with dense, repetitive beats that replicate the sounds of machines, gears and obsessive patterns.

McLardy's tracks begin with the intricate rhythmic patterns of 'Uno' (one, the unity, the absolute), a mosaic that originates from a web of synth basslines alternating between simpler designs and complex inputs from beginning to end. Accessible without being conventional, this work reflects the Nottingham artist ability to slowly build up a sequence of convoluted trajectories.

'Prana' awakens a different world of perceptions and can be seen as a stand-alone work juxtaposed with the rest of the EP, the track develops across a calmer, slower bassline in stark comparison to the tempo of the other three tracks on the release. McLardy creates a dialogue between the incorporeal painting in the background and the fragmented, broken and divided beats that push the listener across the length of the track.

Hailing from St Petersburg in Russia, Kito Jempere has been recognised by his peers and a wider global audience thanks to an impeccable serie of releases in recent years.
It is no surprise neither that Dairmount spotted him already in 2013 with his Confusion EP on Jimpster's Freerange, followed by his Objects album on his own Fata Morgana imprint & solid releases last year on Dirt Crew & Let's Play House.
His tracks have been remixed by luminaries as Nachtbraker, Jacob Korn, Roberto Rodriguez, HNNY, Juju & Jordash, OOFT or Ruf Dug... Kito & me met in Montenegro last summer at the amazing Southern Soul Festival through our friends Eddy Ramich & Lay-Far. We both played as part of the 4 days event & developed a deeper relationship.
Besides our obvious common musical grounds, we both became fathers nearly at the same time, him of Theo, me of Thea.
This became our red line in our exchanges remembers Phil with a grin on the face. Following his new fatherhood and an important HD crash which led to the loss of many musical works, Kito came back from Montenegro and sat down in his studio, starting from scratch, highly inspired. The 2 tracks you hear today are the results of these sessions of total freedom without prepared sound banks or samples. Kito & Phil took the time last autumn to let the tracks breathe and exchanged very naturally on their arrangements & mixdowns, till Kito finalised them in the silent snowy landscapes of the Russian country side in december.

Just over a year on since he released his stunning LP 'Happiness' on Classic Music Company, Eli Escobar returns to the label with an album which couldn't be further removed in sentiment. Whereas 'Happiness' radiated sublime house/disco hybrid bliss throughout, 'Shout' is a heartfelt rage against America's developing political disasters.
The quintessential New York City DJ, Eli is a devoted collector, explorer and connoisseur of all kinds of music from his hip-hop roots. He is hugely well-respected in the New York club circuit after over two decades of mutual love for the city and the house scene. Having been switched on to Eli by his debut album 'Up All Night', Classic Music Company is now his creative home.
'Shout' starts robustly with 'Nightmare Rag', police sirens ringing out in the background while a disgruntled voice repeats 'ode to America' and a dream-like piano riff gathers momentum, turning into a punchy acid beat. Giving way to tangible heartbreak in 'Interlude (American Sorrow)' with lamenting saxophone and light percussion, Eli maintains the political message in 'The People', urging the listener to wake up by using crafty vocal samples and hypnotic chords. Further highlights include heavier tracks like 'Muzik' which picks up the pace of the record, before 'City Song' brings back the New York house vibe with vocal cuts and warm synths. 'City Song Part 2' and 'Body and Soul' show Eli's disco influences while 'Goin' On' flickers with hope.
A stormy departure from the glowing balminess of his previous LPs, 'Shout' addresses Eli's anguish over his country hitting self-destruct, while still putting his own twist on his city's house and disco soundtrack, joining the dots between yesterday's golden era classics and today's club anthems. Underpinning it all is Eli's acute musical sensitivity; whether it's a straight-up party jam or a crafty disco cut-up, warmth and soul are poured in.

Marlon Hoffstadt is a rising star as both a DJ and producer, effortlessly joining the dots between classic rave and the future of techno. Taking a break from running his Retrograde label, Marlon has cooked up Observing The Known for Ransom Note Records. Over three tracks of warm synths, bubbly acid and emotional chord progressions, the EP sees Marlon reimagining house music for today's dancefloor, taking the passion and energy of '80s Chicago and giving it the production heft of 2017 Berlin.

Opener 'Floating' is a piano house classic, shot through with chimes and 303 gurgles, nostalgic for a golden age whilst optimistically looking forward. This is peak time house for dancefloors with heart. It's followed by the computerised funk of 'ARP+', an acid house roller that teams jacking 303 bass with mournful strings, as sorrowful as it is uplifting. B-side opener 'Batavus' is a driving tribute to Detroit, Kevin Saunderson-esque keys stabbing over soaring washes of synth, the sound of late nights and starry eyes.

London-based Scott Fraser has added a remix of 'ARP+' that takes Marlon's classic techno to darker lands, with snapping electro drums and deliberately seasick bass pressure ramping up the claustrophobia. This mix has already been causing huge damage when dropped on dubplate at Fraser's feted Body Hammer night...

Finally the third release for Red Rooster Records. Like the second one, we are talking about a various artists E.P.: Minimono (Fabio Della Torre and Ennio Colacci) is an italian duo born in Florence in 1997. IN 2008 Fabio and Ennio founded their own label Bosconi Records' where they released their first album in 2010. Now Minimono works with Robsoul Records, Vibraphone and other very good label from all over the world. Dj Rou is parts of the project called HOMEQUEST, a real crew of artists made in Bologna, we can also find his music on Robsoul Jazz, Bosconi extra Virgin or Flexi Cuts. Memoryman aka Uovo is one of the famous Pastaboys, he has a long story that starts with the label Manocalda, he worked with a lot of big artists from the main house scene and he did a lot of records with the bests labels. D' Arabia, class 1991, is the owner of Red Rooster Records and this is the third release for him, surely not the last.

Tommy Vicari Jnr is back with his 76-79 moniker with three new killer club cuts. The EP features some heavy duty material including a previously unheard remix of 57 hertz which has been dug deep from the vaults of the Sheffield producers basement.

Allnite Music boss Apoena takes it back to the deep with 4 proper club tracks. Fat basslines, vocal snippets, warm organic pads and a lots of groove.

When trends in music can come and go in the blink of an eye, ten years is a long time to stay relevant, passionate and real on the frontline. From its roots in the Parisian club scene by way of its spiritual home at Fuse in Brussels and so on to the globe-trotting, multi-faceted entity that it is today, Lessizmore is living proof of how to do a decade right. The fundamental heartbeat of this European house and techno institution is the maverick music that its affiliated artists make. Of course what the label sounds like now is not necessarily what the label sounded like back in 2006, but it's telling that some of the original characters are still with the label to this day, while many are long time members of the LIZM family that have joined the ranks over the years. In piecing together this compilation, the idea from label founders Jessica Bossuyt and Pierre Noisiez was simply to represent where their brainchild is at right now, from guests at their events in the early days to more recent collaborators of all kinds. Borrowed Identity kicks off the second EP with a smoothly rendered vision of contemporary deep house housing a poignant message at its core, while San Proper follows it up with his irrepressible personality positively leaping out of the track in a fit of live instrumentation and unbridled psychedelic funk. Dave Aju too is an artist it's hard to mistake, his cool and deadly vocals sitting amongst a sleek club construction that ranks among his most DJ-ready tracks to date. Always a trusted source of unconventional magic both in the studio and on the stage, Frivolous is on hand to demonstrate how to be playful with wild sound design and still come out with a killer party track.

UK House & Techno heavyweights Dusky return to their 17 Steps label with the classic house indebted 'Square Miso', picking up swiftly where this summer's hugely successful 'Cold Heart' EP left off - the lead track an ever present in Gerd Janson's summer DJ sets.Already recognisable to many from Dusky's festival sets as well as Jackmaster's recent Circo Loco terrace recording, 'Square Miso' draws on the swing of classic NYC house with soulful, cut-up vocal samples and tightly programmed beats, whilst paying tribute to the '90s Italian House classics with its distinctive piano melodies - with a dash of Shades Of Rhythm-era UK Rave for good measure. As well as the club-ready original, a beat less piano and strings 'reprise' is also included. A darker, Detroit-nodding club tool, 'LF10' blends heavy-hitting stabs, atmospheric melodic textures and House grooves. An immersive roller, like 'Square Miso' it serves as another example of the duo's ability to blend different influences into unique hybrids.
With 2017 releases from B.K.R & Jamie Jones, Christian Piers, Bwana and Kiwi, Dusky's 17 Steps has become an increasingly prolific outlet of forward thinking House and Techno - with support from Gerd Janson, Midland, Len Faki, Maya Jane Coles, Tiga and George Fitzgerald among others.

Warren Harris, better known as Hanna, is an incredibly prolific producer and multi-instrumentalist from Cleveland, Ohio who has released a string of consistently respected singles and albums over the past few years.
Hanna's impressive discography includes essential and classic releases on such diverse labels as Track Mode, Metamorphic, Sublime, and many others. Chicago based Perpetual Rhythms welcomes Warren's warm and beautiful sound to their label with the first of a 3 EP set.

D3 Elements continues to serve up delicious house music with its next EP, which this time comes from the Detroit native MoReese. He serves up three cuts of rich, musical club sounds that continue in the Motor City's fine tradition.

MoReese marries the history of his hometown, and influences such as Derrick May and Kevin Sanderson, with his own taste for jazz, funk and soul and the results are always magical. He has been touring the world for more than two decades now, playing all over the radio, events like WMC and special four decks set at Movement festival. This new release is sure to introduce him to European crowds who will no doubt immediately fall in love with his fully formed hose sound.

Opener Jupiter Heat marries a nice smooth groove, churning percussion and blistered bass with some simple but effective sax stabs that really elevate the track to the next level. It's the sort of roller, complete with a monologue about modern life, that will really get crowds shifting shapes. 'Linear' is a more direct and hard hitting deep house cut with solid rubber kicks, slick hi hats and lush chords, keys and frazzled synth lines all adding colour, heat and a sense of joy. Lastly, feel good bouncer The Mist is stuffed with the sort of soulful vibes Terrence Parker us famous for, and as a result immediately finds a place in your affections. This is another pure house EP that exactly hits the mark.

Reekee, a remarkable young and talented artist from Modena (Italy) not only plays the keys as an extention of his mind but his true and pure sound makes you feel warm and connected from first notes. A mixture of broken beats with soulful melodies & analog drummin' and reminds early Mr. Fingers tracks.
You often get a Nu-jazz feeling and can clearly hear the jazz influences between the funky House beats. Because it's so difficult to describe the feeling you get listening to his music, you should hear it yourse.

After years of releasing quality house EPs, Brighton based Black Key Records scores something of a coop: its first full length is a sixth album from Tom Ellis, a core member and resident of the esteemed Freerotation Festival who is already well known to those in the know. His beautifully titled, eight track LP 'From the Cabin Above the Clouds' is due on April 4th and comes ahead of him launching his own new label.

Ellis has long been putting out funk and jazz inspired house and has built a fine reputation with connoisseurs around the world because of it. As a trained musician who has played drums, bass, keys and guitar since an early age, his productions come imbued with a real sense of artistry. He has worked with a wealth of labels in his time, and now comes his most coherent and complete statement yet.

Though clearly packed with plenty of treasures for the dance floor, the way this album plays out across a range of styles and tempos makes it just as absorbing in a more intimate environment. Things kick off with zoned out deep house and soft, spiritual synths of the sort that Fred P would be proud of. 'Stranger in this Town' exists just as far out in the cosmos but here jazzy riffs percolate above punchy, bubbling drums and the whole thing makes you move. The energy levels continue to ramp up through the airy house groove of 'Our Moments, Too Swift' with its subtle vocal refrain, and 'From The Valley' is a lovable jumble of Rhodes keys, clicking synthetic imperfections and dusty drums.

The second half of the album showcases Ellis very real knack for writing proper melodies that linger long in the brain. Tracks like 'Wide Open Window' then dip into minimal territory with freaky tones and trippy grooves that burrow deep into your brain, 'Many Times' could be on a jazz album with its freeform drums and curious chords and darkly intergalactic closer 'Far Reach' is paranoid, bleepy featuring some more of the most exquisite drum playing.
There is a real sense of quality and class to the music explored on From the Cabin Above the Clouds that makes it stand well proud of the crowd.

Byron's Ballads is a dance treat on the housey-ish vibe showing Ceephax's melodic skills in full flow. Citylink is a smooth house/disco track ideal for cruising the ocean highways and downtown boulevards. Sneaker is a poundy 303 classic with an emotional melody which is simultaneously uplifting and melancholy. Haliphax is based on Ceephax's earlier "Friend Track" but has a nice Camelot chord arrangement and disco finale that takes it to medieval heights. The Hague is a simple upbeat house track with wintery strings and distant pianos over a throbby bassline.

It's time for the Big Cat and his Party Groovers! In this fifth volume Coyu shows us one of his multiple faces as a producer.
The EP contains Sex Is Drama, powerful house music with heavy beats and an outstanding vocal leading the track, and Who's Wearing The Trousers, a track with touches of UK Garage, acid house and a big 90s feeling. This kind of appearances of the label boss on Suara are not very usual so enjoy this couple of bombs, you won't regret!
