House Vinyl New Releases - News

The Activ-Analog collective return under this name for the first time in 10 years with a blistering new EP on Lisbon's Assemble Music. Taken from group live jams which are mixed down and tweaked on the fly, these four tracks recall the explosive simplicity of Daniel Bell's output on Accelerate, both A-side tracks all whacked-out acid and basslines cut through by razor sharp hats and claps. The B-side sees the addition of the same woozy pads that defined their venerated Night Shift EPs from the late 90s, taking the mood far into the afterhours. Hard but with a light touch, funky and clean - in one word, irresistible.

White label for quickness....HOT new BNJMN tracks! TIP!

After putting out Kito Jempere's stunning Sea Monster album earlier in the year, Hell Yeah now serve up a bunch of remixes from it that have been secret weapons for the last few months.

Moving across the dynamics of feelings and rythms of matter, Oltrarno Recordings presents 'Observing Organic Structures', a mini LP produced from the duo Raccoglimento Parziale.
The breath of analog machines tarnishes the infinite mirrors of possibilities. Our duo wants us to absorb their work not only with the ears, but through all our pores. Attention becomes our antenna.
To refine this package, long time friend of the duo Spacetravel, who just released his debut double-EP on Perlon, elaborates his personal view with a full galloping remix.

Raccoglimento Parziale is a project by Stefano Meucci and Andrea Giachetti
Written and recorded in Pausenraum, Berlin, 2015.
Mastered by Stephan Betke at Scape, Berlin.
Artwork by Juana Anzellini, von der Serie "Anonyme", 2015.

One of our favourite records on PPU has just been repressed.
The clip is all the tracks in one file. Sorry for lack of individual clips but trust us as this record is a belter.

The vinyl release from Japanese DJ/producer Kaoru Inoue's alias Chari Chari as the new band. It has been 14 years since the last release Aurora EP - which has been played by lots of deep house DJs - on vinyl.

Welcome Highfields 900 Records to our ever expanding label roster. Their first release is Gratitude by David Martin and features remixes by Saine & Platzdasch....
Supported by Martin Hayes, Fina records, Replika, Rebirth records , Vinyl Addicted, Nachtbraker, dj face & Saine......

Vinyl is still personal and the reason of existence of the V.I.P. Series. The previous three V.I.P. releases were all one-sided so it was more than time to give you a full E.P. of WPH goodies. And when we realized that there has never ever been a full remix E.P. on WPH the decision was quite easy.
So we present you an E.P. with 4 remixes of FCL's 'Can We Try'. And seeing as we care about value for your money you are presented with 4 very different takes on the FCL original. After all, we already pleased girls and gays alike with some dubs on the very first FCL release 'Vocals For Everyone'.

The Deetron remix sees the Swiss dancefloor master in his usual storming remix form, making for a monster of a track. Label boss Red D celebrates his love for old Italian Yamaha DX 21 house sounds and cuts up the vocal MK style. WPH mainstay Russ Gabriel asked Red D to do a remix of this one himself and who are we to refuse him Knowing that he will deliver with class and panache. A fourth and final version sees Kiani & His Legion going for a Daft Punk approach to great effect.

General Ludd is Rich McMaster from New Jersey and Tom Marshallsay from Canterbury. The guys met at the Glasgow Art School, where Rich studied environmental art and Tom studied fine art. Their first collaborations were interactive sound installations, but that quickly gave way to all night music making sessions. This is their second EP for us - a more left field turn than their first, but, we can assure you, both tracks will break discerning dancefloors wide open.

Intr0beatz from Iceland is making some serious waves in the music industry at the moment and is next up on the Something Else 12" series. With these 3 original tracks 'All Set', 'Make My Day' & 'Sour Dough' he perfectly combines the ethos of the labels sound, as he blends the right amount of old skool vibes to sit this perfectly on the right side of the 90's bar. No gimmicks, just pure house vibes that jack and groove for days.

124Recordings are back with the twelfth release, the 'Bare Tracks' EP.

Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin's Mister Saturday Night: Then and Now is a perfect encapsulation of one of their parties and a fitting celebration for a pair of DJs that have painstakingly formed so many moments over the course of 250 parties.

WPH kicks off 2015 with a new E.P. by the mighty Luv Jam from Wales. Living in a universe that is entirely his own Andrew Cole has cooked up two more of his 'especially for WPH'-tracks.
One here at WPH HQ can only be flattered! 'Californian Freestyler' is the more peak time burner of the two, but 'BMX Bandito' will not disappoint the more discerning punters out there either.

On remix duty we find the main artist from our friends at Uncanny Valley in Dresden, Jacob Korn. Any work by Jacob is always a treat and this here is no exception. Flexing our digging talents we have also licensed a Luv Jam remix from the good people at Panta Rhei that was only released on limited 7'. We feel it deserved to be on a 12', so there.

Mark Seven returns to World Building with another 100% guaranteed club crusher! Oh indeed! The bad boy is back! A perfect follow-up to last year's smash hit "The Fatal Flaw In Disco". The debut release in "The Promised Land" series; three chapters (II, IV & VII) to whet your appetite! An initial sneak peak of this new dance drama. Classic club biz like only Mark can do! Powerful. Sexy. Uplifting. Respectful. Bouncy. Confident. Strong songs for strong minds! Stay tuned as the story unfolds... (Includes bonus track "Helping Hand" from "The Promised Land" sessions)

The first Single of Prins Thomas coming - 5th Album - first Single on the new label as well gets unveiled with "A" remix by our dear friends from Pional! plus there´s a an extended 12" version by Thomas.
Thomas on "Å" : Initially the final track AND then: scrapped idea for the alphabet soup of "Principe del Norte". Later evolved into what we have here. Comes with a really nice remix by Pional on a separate 12 here!

Shedbug from Australia is kicking off our newest release on Deeptrax. Four trax for the heads and for the floor. Screaming acid with deep rhythms full of mesmerizing chords like these old Detroit warehouse vibes meeting ultra dope bouncin beats going into dreamy breaks. All captured in sonic waves from this Melbourne Salt Mine bloke on a heavy mythical mental mission.

Bitter Moon has criss-crossed Europe to gather a trio of heavy House hitters for Lunes De Fiel Vol. 2. Creme Organization prodigy Innershades gets the show on the road with the synth slamming groove of "Moments of Euphoria". New Beat memories bounce alongside rumbling rhythms in track guaranteed to ignite speakers. Next stop is Germany with Snuff Crew and "Your Hands". The Jack experts fillet their trademark raw edges for a smooth and soulful piece of late night Chitown. Smoke curls around chords, claps are softened as samples turn in a twilight haze. The final destination, Italy, is bathed in the 303 sunshine of "#Acid". The White Rabbit Recordings founder uses the building blocks of Chicago to produce a fluid floor filler. Cymbals, cow-bells, toms and snares are soaked in a devilish brew of Acid. Bohemian body jerk to a 4/4 beat to bring down the curtain on this latest instalment of Lunes De Fiel.

For Illusion Recordings 6th edition we travel across Europe to the current deep house mecca of Russia to present Volta Cab for his Illusion debut. This is not your typical house release and thats the way we like it. This eclectic EP crosses many genres from Soul to Hip Hop to Deep House and shows off a dexterity of sound Illusion has been building towards since its first release. Featuring remixes by Trus'me (at his best; reworking a beautiful soul record in to a whole new darker, satisfying house monster) and Creative Swing Alliance (up the tempo, reworking the slow, heavy original in to a dreamy, summer house classic).

WONDER STORIES' head man AIMES drops his 1st 12" of 2017. A 13 min space disco jam with enough oomph for the dancefloor and enough weirdness for the headphones. Italian legend DJ ROCCA slows things down to a drugged out chugger while SF disco champ BEAT BROKER cranks it up into a house groover.

Gangster Paradise is totally unlike what Coolio once uttered. The latest EP from Roush features four slamming tracks from DJ W!LD that will get any dance floor to move side to side. This Vinyl will appease every true underground house head.

DJ W!LD hails from Dijon, France and has grown from hero of the Parisian underground to resident at some of the world's most acclaimed clubs, including Circoloco at DC10 in Ibiza. He adds to his already expansive discography with this banger EP.

The title track Gangster Paradise' is a groovy Deep head bobbin' house tune with the traditional breakdowns that make Roush such a solid label to dance to. As a hero of the French Dance Scene, he follows through with a tribute with his track Ma Tendre Ennemie' which stands for My Tender Enemy'. It's always important to keep your enemies closer and this tune will make you want to get close with anyone and, at anytime. The EP closes out with tracks Only Lovers Left Alive' and Please Please Please', two solid Deep House tracks that work perfectly for the late night sets.

Once again, Roush and DJ W!LD pound it.

Paper Jet Rec. is ready for another takeoff to the musical skies.
Weightless yet bass heavy beats are served by no other than our Frozen North captain Jussi-Pekka and his copilot Juicy Pecker.
The lemons to your g&t are peeled by an unknown vocalist.
While the flight goes on please enjoy your complimentary remixes by Finland's hot stewards TM Shuffle and pothOles.

The original tracks are typical Jussi-Pekka sounds: Deep and floating, funky and minimal yet melodic. And as Jussi would say: I take my tongue-in-cheek's extremely seriously!"

TM Shuffle's remix is for the modern dance floors around the clubs. Irresistible groove forces your legs to dance while the hypnotic bass and effects make your mind wonder in deep thoughts. Free your mind and your (you know how it ends)!

pothOles pays tribute to the old deep house times with his distinctive modernised soundscapes.

The Power Dancers return with their post album 4th installment.
This psychedelic post punk inspired escapade sends out love lasers to all those we have loved and lost along the way, most notably the weird and wonderful Adam Goldstone.

Jacking Chicago tracks on this first EP by Offenbach's freshmen 'AM UNIT' containing three original tracks plus a solid remix by Lauer (one half of Tuff City Kids). A-sided 'Gotta Slow Down' and 'Hold Back' are classic examples of dancefloor fillers while B-sided 'Raw Jam' is a hard and super effective acid track that leaves no-one indifferent. The Dub mix of 'Gotta Slow Down' by Lauer is an oscillating interpretation of the original track with an efficient piano line! Limited to 400 hand stamped and numbered copies!

Seth Troxler's agenda setting Play It Say It label is back with another massive release, this time coming from a group of Detroit heavyweights. Featuring a lead track from Andy Toth & Billy Love, it is packed with essential remixes from Chuck Daniels, Andrés & Midnite Jackers.

Andy Toth was part of Detroit Grand Pubahs and Billy Love is a singer from Detroit who added vocals to seminal tracks by Underground Resistance. Together they have help their city's electronic music earn its enviable reputation on the world stage, and here Billy tells a story informed by his time as a male revue dancer at a legendary strip club called Watts Club Mozambique.

The standout original here, which had a low-key release a few years ago, 'Thrillseekers,' is an off-beat house number with fresh synth stabs and popping drums that come with steamy vocals. It's future facing and soul infused and is the sort of characterful cut that will mark the highlight of any set.

Up first with the remixes, Sample Recordings main man Chuck Daniels shows off his Detroit credentials with a driving and late night, smooth and seductive take that is filled with warm machine soul. Pre-release this classic Detroit groove has been getting lots of support from Eats Everything, Riva Star and Seth Troxler.

The second sizzling remix comes from Detroit's Andrés, a key artist on Moodymann's Mahogany label who has put out three seminal albums as well as many killer jams on his own La Vida. His hip hop indebted style is here in all its glory once more, with loose and rough drums jammed out on an MPC and interwoven with gorgeous jazz chords and a noodling bassline.

Already released and doing lots of damage on worldwide dance floors, the Midnite Jackers remix is nearly eight minutes of rough and ready, attitude riddled house with fat bass, rude vocals and a wonky feel that will add plenty of freakiness to any party. This is a Detroit heavy single featuring some of the Motor City's finest talents, and is set to be one of the big record of the summer without a doubt.

DJ-Kicks has tapped up Life And Death label founder DJ Tennis for the next instalment in its long running and land- mark series, which is due for release on 14th July. The Italian is the first artist to ever be granted not one but two discs across which to showcases his style, and he doesn't disappoint. The mix comes as a double CD and triple vinyl release and features four exclusive tracks.

Funk dripping debauchery is Hard Ton's latest serving. 'Triple XL' takes its cue from the annals of italo, disco and electro pop, further fuelled by production from Dutch diamond in the rough Tom Holkenborg (better known as Junkie XL). A track beyond tongue-in-cheek, lyrics dance in a devil-may-care dervish. And it is those lyrics that remixer Domenico Torti holds on to for his jackin' house interpretation; a Chicago affair of carnal delights. DJ Overdose comes from a totally different angle. The electro fiend pours ice water on to the original for a frosted vocoder wonder. And to keep the roulette wheel spinning, Andreas Gehm closes. Hard as nails, acid drenched, diva voiced pound wraps up an EP an admirable assembly of tracks.

Iron Curtis serves up another 4 tracks for Lights EP - Part 2. IC kicks things off nicely with the uber classy Spectral, which is reminiscent of Larry Heard's early work. Well Well Well (More Lights) picks up the pace with a heavy sub bass, wonky keys and slick beats to boot. See Ya is a cleverly worked head nodder, perfect for early night or morning vibes. Curtis takes things to a deeper level with Salvation; a great way to close out this 2 part EP on his regular label Hudd Traxx.

After three previous 'Various Artists' releases, up-and-coming label French Kitchen Records returns with a full EP by (French Kitchen artist) Marcelo Cura!
Already playlisted by Marco Carola himself with his 'Keep on goin' track on D-Foor, the French prolific producer comes up with

effective bouncy and fluid techno grooves! FK004 comprises four tracks. Two originals: the atmospheric and bass- fuelled main track "N side" and the rolling pacey and direct « Dirty side". Along with two strong & deep techno remixes by German artist Dorian Paic & the Romanian Dubsons, 'N side' EP seems perfectly fitted for either techno aficionados or peak time Ibiza hours!

BLACK CATALOGUE in collaboration with LA's PLUG RESEARCH unearths this gem from MR. HAZELTINE aka JOHN TEJADA originally released in 1998. The A side features the original mix of "ON THE AVENUE" and "THE MECHANIC", followed by a MANNEQUIN LUNG remix of the title track on the flip. Grimy and dusty!

Vinyl Only

The first reissue in the World Building catalog! An under-the-radar white label gets a second chance at life! One Man's Quest released Smiling Faces 95' on their own Vandal Records label in (you guessed it) 1995. It would end up being the only release on the label & never properly distributed. Produced by Bon Vega & Douglas Johnson, One Man's Quest give the Motown classic a unique 90s spin w/ both house AND r&b versions. Kinda rough, kinda smooth & very essential!

HITTING YOU HARD AND DEEP!!!

Excerpt from Dance Trax column in Billboard Magazine (Jun 10, 1995): "The single kicks a thick and spare house groove, coated with a simple organ line and a worldly lyrical reading that hangs onto the brain long beyond its moments on the dancefloor.' - Larry Flick (Dance Trax)

One Man's Quest is a Brothers' Vibe production. In memory of Bon Vega!
