Moscow Records close 2016 with a fantastic 3-track EP from Berlin imports Roustam and Tolga Fidan. This being their first outing together, the pair deliver a high quality, intelligent journey through minimal house and techno.The record opens with Brodsky Beat; a groovy, dance floor-focused track.Lively percussion and tight bass communicate perfectly with the hope-filled lead to build tension throughout.The Omega Variant on the A2 has a much more abstract feel. Broken beats and skippy percussion play back and forth with deep, spacey hooks and a peculiar synth, giving the listener a sense of mystery.Finally, Growing Up Is Just a Phase is a calming 14 minute trip that uses the entirety of the B Side to tell a story of reassurance and calm. Laid-back rhythms, guitar samples, relaxed vocals and a wandering synth line work together to form the perfect warmup track.

Consistently unearthing a hotbed of new talent, Hot Creations next release is Back To The Music from DJ and producer Sooney. The release features two original tracks and a stellar remix from one of the biggest names in dance music, Route 94.
Title track Back To The Music is an exhilarating record shaped through melodic synths and keys alongside a sharp bassline. Route 94 strips back his remix to the bare groove. While the chugging beats of Afraid Of The Dark bring the release to an accomplished close.
London based Sooney fell in love with house, hardcore & jungle in the early 90's. In 2015 he set up his own label, Take Control Records, gaining support from the likes of Shadow Child, Jamie Jones and Gorgon City to name a few. Since being discovered by the Hot Creations family, Sooney's sights are firmly set on big things for 2017.
Fellow UK artist Route 94 shot into the limelight in 2012 with chart success and has since gone on to appear on labels including Virgin, Defected and Crosstown Rebels, and work with major names like Katy B and Jess Glynne.

Having first heard their music via the Palace x Bronze skate video a year or so ago, we did a bit of digging and it turned out to be by a duo called Dima Disk, one half of whom was an old Glasgow pal called Ragnar and Robert Nikolajev from Tallinn's legendary club Lekker. You may have heard their recent ripper on Porridge Bullet. Having been fans of the shit coming out of Estonia for a good few years and also having a thing for releasing music from our Glasgow connections we felt that this needed to come out as a RAD 12".

GLENVIEW's first release from Chicago's GLENN UNDERGROUND is a 3 track deep house stunner. "SMOKE" is a lush, melodic instrumental track that is both uplifting and hypnotizing. "SMOKE BONUS BEATS" is a stripped down rhythm track and "THE SOFT DRINK" is a smooth, feel good house groover. Get this!

Nachtbraker is back on Heist after his 2013 Gute Laune EP with another set of his dreamy laid back sound filled with lovely textures, rolling synths and always interesting and evolving arrangements. Whether it's 'Dark Roast' (bonus points for the vocal hihats and ooooh that bassline), the haunting electronics meet sugar sweets pads on 'Gurl', the triplet marching band hihats on 'Le troubadour' or the insane amount of elements working together on 'You're out of your element', it's all equally deep, energetic and extremely well though of. After a split single with Muslimgauze and a single of their own on Optimo Trax, we are delighted to present the first Optimo Trax album release by Italy's Underspreche. The album is split across two four- track EPs, released two weeks apart (and also as a complete digital album).
We try to avoid over-hyping our releases, but this one is really fully deserving of the hyperbole I am about to bestow on it. Underspreche first sent me some music a few years ago and seeing them grow and develop has been nothing short of astonishing. I think this is some of the most nuanced and advanced music that Optimo Trax has ever released. There are several dancefloor destroyers here but also music for more developed/leading-edge floors too, as well as some music simply designed to make one's mind melt.

It is very rare that I listen to 4/4 music at home, but this album has been a constant on my hi-fi since it was sent to me.
Super-advanced, organic sampling, inspired vocalisations, acute psychedelic modular sequences, forward- thinking drum programming, this is exactly what I hoped Optimo Trax would be about when I started the label.

Just Jack are back with more fire, this time from Brooklyn's Tape Hiss. Synth heavy, acid led grooves are the order of the day on the 3 originals, with Panoramabar's Massimilliano Pagliara providing some serious dance floor heat on the remix.

Just in time for summer, Andrés aka DJ Dez hits back with three perfect house cuts. The Andrés formula is fairly simple, grab a sample, flip it, add warm basslines and drums. Thing is, nobody does it quite like Dez. The title track here is a soulful rave-up spinning on an indelible vocal chop and vamping pianos. "Chevy Status" is true to its name, a chugging mid-tempo hip-hop/house tune perfect for rolling down Woodward Avenue, or if you like, a street in your town. "Pluck Away," meanwhile, takes some jangling, Tropicalia guitars and lets them ride into the sunset, closing out a near perfect record which only builds anticipation for the Detroit man's fourth full-length, Andres IV.

In Dust We Trust are back with their second 12' of 2017. This time the two entities, Chaos In The CBD and Jon Sable, offer one side each. On side A, 'False Awakening' by Chaos In The CBD attacks your brain with open, spacious pads and synthesised melodies that float on top of a dark and hypnotic percussive groove — the kind that might make you miss your stop because you've found yourself staring into space.

On the flip side you have 'Scumbag Unity' by Jon Sable, a loose dreamy track with dubbed-out pads and vocals that glide between a drum machine groove. This marks the second collaboration between Jon Sable and Kroba of Archie Pelago, who plays the woozy basement-style saxophone that keeps your consciousness hooked. Serious tip for those drawn to the deeper side of dance floor-ready records.

Cheap Present was formed in 2013 as a collaborative project between Melbourne artists ENV and Luis CL serving as an outlet for the pair to experiment outside of their main musical acts and subsequent genre limitations.
Cheap Present's music is mostly recorded live in the studio with minimal overdubs and draws sounds and influences from various sources. Using old keyboards and samples mixed with digital high definition sounds, the duo create a mixture of raw elements from the techno and dance tradition with a nod to classical melodies and industrial music. Each song features heavy drums to highlight the melodic playfulness of their bass, synth arrangements and humorous but expressive vocals and song titles.
The Anterior mini LP follows on from the duo's Wet Garden cassette earlier in the year and presents a collection of material looking back from the group's creation in 2013 to more recent output. The pair's evolution is clearly on display on the this 12 inch, from initial jam based songs such as Waterproofyouth and Bergwasser, which have a spontaneous metallic edge, to new songs such as Rooftops, which display a more meticulous and mature approach to production."

We are truly honoured to welcome back to the Landed imprint one of the originators and true players of the Detroit House music scene, Norm Talley. Over the last year, Norm has been working hard on a remix project of his 2012 Landed hit, Travlin - resulting in two stunning Dub/Techno/House classics, The ReWorks. A very special, black and yellow, limited edition 10" vinyl cut of The ReWorks is being released to coincide with Record Store Day 2014 on April 19th. Starting off in true Talley style, Norm treats us to his trademark 909 drum vibes complete with a strong jazzy stab which will cut through the dance floors like a hot knife through butter. Following their No.1 hit Tribesmen, which was one of the biggest releases on Hot Creations in 2016, dynamic duo Solardo are back on the label with the mighty Fall Down. Toronto native Carlo Lio and revered DJ and producer MK are also on hand to deliver a solid set of remixes.
Bursting with dancefloor vitality, Fall Down showcases the talented duo at their best, as a pacey ride is enhanced through melodic stabs and tight vocal cuts. Solardo reveal how 'things just really flowed and came together for 'Fall Down' and we can't wait to see it finally released.' Following suit, Carlo Lio's remix is in full throttle with bold builds and trippy FX. On the flip, MK changes gear with a seductive, swinging bassline.
Manchester's Mark Richards and James Eliot aka Solardo were crowned DJ Mag's Best Breakthrough Act of 2016, were part of Resident Advisor's top 100 DJs list and more recently won best breakthrough act in the Ibiza DJ awards. Their critically acclaimed releases can be found on Viva, MTA, Elrow, Hot Creations, Toolroom and Relief Records. They also released the massive On the Corner EP on their own imprint Sola, receiving huge support from the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Monki, with further Radio 1 support through their recent standout Essential Mix.
Making his first appearance on the label, Carlo Lio is the studio partner of Hot Creations favourite Nathan Barato. Together they created Rawthentic Music, where Carlo has been delivering numerous quality releases. Marc Kinchen aka MK has a discography that spans more than 500 titles over different genres. A chance connection with Jamie Jones and Lee Foss led to his return to dance music. Following the success of his Storm Queen remix, Marc continued with huge tracks like Forward Motion for Hot Natured.

Following some new gems on the great Waxtefacts imprint, Strip Steve delivers a beautifully crafted cosmic EP as the second release on Berlin based label Man Band. With sounds ranging from ambient to raw, galactic workouts, this 5 tracker is a must have for listening just as much as dancing. 'Deep within the distant galaxy, a spaceship cruised under the glow of exotic stars. It's metallic frame glimmered beneath the shimmering light as it surged forwards through time and space. AshTreJinkins is a Compton based Producer and DJ. Known for his involvement with the Low End Theory community for years, he has now taken a new form into the world of uptempo electronic music. With his ' Fruit in Failure EP', Tre dives into the fruit of sound with vibrant synths and wholesome melodies. Starting from the deep, into the soulful, and onto the future.

Following a string of remixes throughout 2016, and one of her busiest summers on the road, Cassy is rounding off the year on a high. Enter 'Kwench Records', a collaborative imprint she has created to represent honest and upfront House Music.
The remit is simple, on each release two or more artists will collaborate on EP original material, with a different artist joining the package on remix duty.
They must not be afraid to experiment, nor do what comes naturally to them. And above all, trust in themselves and their instincts. This is something Cassy has proudly learned to master over her DJ career, and she now wishes to put out records in a creative space that encourages this approach.
For the first release, Cassy has called in one of her favourite House Music producers, Canada based Demuir, to collaborate with her.

Demuir's 'Derrick Does Disco' EP which came out on Great Lakes Audio in 2016 was a favorite in Cassy's sets throughout that year, even making it onto her Mixmag presents CD 'Let's Talk About Donna', which accompanied her cover in June.
There are three original cuts on the package, and as a special treat for the first release, Cassy is holding back the incredible remix package until later this year.

The second vinyl only release from this impeccable label presents textures of true deep house with 'Vapour Rises' and the mysterious 'Beings Beyond Comprehension', a spoken word 'Dedication to The Light' from a leading authority in the Sound Healing Field, a call for us to find the higher purpose, particularly relevant in these changing times and finally 'Chant of Antara (meaning 'Within' in Sanskrit) a blissful ambient piece created by layers of throat singing and ethereal effects.
Vapour Rises is beautiful, melancholy, meditative, deep house following on from the classics like Fingers Inc who created the genre so many moons ago. The Celestial Vocoder vocal version notes our 'Searching for meaning, Looking into little light boxes (our phones, computer screens and TVs)'

Vapour Rises was composed in Chicago. I was looking out of a hotel window on the fourth floor, looking out over the roof tops. It was very cold outside and as I remember almost in Black and White, probably twilight time. I saw people as dark shapes against the snow, and the odd car..but that just kind of went on and I was transfixed watching the smoke above the buildings going up into the sky. I felt in a very deep medative state making the track, as I considered Frankie Knuckles recent passing, in this city where the Underground Culture of Unity and House was his legacy. I had met him and spent time with him. He was a sweet, sincere and very positive human being. I considered my own death, of our short time here on this earth, how necessary it is for us to be genuine, honest, authentic, true. Watching the vapours rising from the buildings was like watch seeing souls rising up to divinity.
'So many lonely souls in the city as the snow settles, everybody looking into little light boxes, as the system powers down, So many golden souls in the city as the snow settles..looking into little light boxes trying to find their way back home...'

The mysterious Hyenah is back with a vengeance, once again delivering a vicious assault on unsuspecting bystanders with snapping jaws and a deadly snarl. Ok, enough of that.... Tale From The Dirt is the follow up to this years Hyenah debut The Wish (Dub) which brilliantly combined a raw, edgy, electronic sound with the depth and groove of South African deep house.
This meant The Wish went onto become a firm favorite of veryone from Dixon and Mano Le Tough through to Atjazz and Black Coffee and being rinsed hard from Southport (Weekender) to Soweto.Continuing to push their sound forward Hyenah come correct once again with more Afrocentric goodness, bringing with them Aquarius Heaven for vocal duties. Tale From The Dirt builds on a stripped back, deep groove teasing things out slowly with every little percussion hit and synth stab having it's own space and incredible clarity. Aquarius Heaven brings just the
right vibe with his tripped-out vocals adding to the hazy vibe of the track.Flipping over we have a brilliant remix from Keinemusik's rising star Rampa and a match made in heaven for the job in task it should be said. Here he keeps the bare bones of the original but confidently draws things out further still, building on the intense pulsing synth line and creating energy from seemingly very little. Wait till you hear this through a big system on a packed dancefloor. Finally we have The Chase, a track which could quite easily be the lead track of the EP with it's brutal stabs and rolling beats bringing a tough, techy edge. Once again, Hyenah tease out the arrangement with builds and drops bringing maximum drama but without a white noise riser in sight!

Jimpster has recently remixed Galcher Lustwerk for Tsuba, thatmanmonkz for Delusions Of Grandeur and Till Von Sein for SUOL. His Eel Pie Island track for Systematic has just come out with remixes from Adam Port and Hyenah. The Adam Port remix went straight into the Beatport Deep House top 10 and is getting plays from many of the top DJ's. His remix of Mr V - Something With Jazz drops on Razor N Tape in October.
Brian Ring's debut release dropped in 2015 on Gerd Jansen's Running Back. This exclusive is only his second ever release but he already looks set for big things.
Clavis return with a fresh track following hot on the heels of their incredible Banza release which won many fans and received countless plays from the likes of Dixon, Ame, Tim Sweeny and Damian Lazarus.
