Fresh from his Boiler Room debut in Madrid last month, the Swiss DJ and producer Andrea Oliva makes his debut on Hot Creations with We Trust. Having built a solid reputation through relentless touring and a string of impressive releases, Olivia delivers two original cuts showcasing his skillful production.
The driving and incredibly infectious title track We Trust uses all of the techniques required for a club classic; a looping vocal layered over charged drums, culminating in a fearless breakdown. On the reverse, Soho Nights delivers a hook so catchy it's a certified Ibiza classic in the making.
Oliva's journey began at a young age, educating himself in record shops and eventually teaming up with Nordstern founder, Agi Isaku, hosting the successful Banditz parties throughout Switzerland.
A firm favourite in the Ibiza scene, Oliva's remix of Luciano's Rise Of Angels on Cadenza catapulted him into the global spotlight and releases on Moonharbour, Desolat, Objektivity and Cuttin' Headz soon followed.

Avalon Emerson returns with this 2 track 12' that features the arpeggiated euphoria of 'One More Fluorescent Rush', and the swampy, ethereal 'Finally Some Common Ground'.
The artwork was designed by Alex McCullough and contains QR codes as part of the cover that facilitate a digital engagement with the physical release.

For ANMA's fifth release, Reekee aka Italy's Riccardo Masi has produced a classic cut of uplifting house, quintessentially jamming a thunderous rolling groove with soft jazz piano. Ecstatic synths unleash their primal screams throughout before the Hammond steps up and raises the bar! Remixer Ricardo Miranda cooks up a veritably frantic electronic jungle of idiosyncratic pulsing square waves and marimba voodoo soup, before Vick Lavender takes over the B-side with nigh on ten minutes of organically blissful jazz and groove experimentation. Vick's Mix comes rooted with percussive breaks and a solid evolving rhythm section and is brim-filled with sleazy vibes, tender electric licks and rapturous synth pads swelling us into elation!

It's only fitting, though, to celebrate this milestone with a comprehensive retrospective of his work: A Decade Of Dubfire. Cast your mind back to 2007. Electro house was already beginning to implode in on itself, crushed by the weight of excess and formulas. Hard techno had fallen out favour after years of relentless intensity. Straight up house was sounding somewhat stale. Minimal' was increasingly the word on everyone's lips, and in the wave of forward-thinking, boundary-pushing minimal techno producers came the birth of Dubfire's solo career. The Sunburst Band's lush "In The Thick Of It" has been a big club and radio hit throughout the summer, one that has even won praise from diehard fans of the Brenda Russell original.
Now Sweden's Opolopo (hot from his Gregory Porter '1960 What' rework) gives the track an 80's boogie/proto house rework.
Squelchy stabs and funked up synth bass make this a sure fire winner for both the muso's and dancefloors.
Yes, there are quite a few boogie influenced house tracks but most of them are based around big samples, where as this contains none.

If you prefer things a little less vocal then check the boogie body land dub, the grooves along without any house clichés.

The general consensus has been that "The Secret Life of Us" CD is the strongest album yet from Joey Negro's Sunburst Band. Recently managing to top the Solar Sweet Rhythms chart, Starpoint Soul Chart, Amazon Dance chart, now we start to see some of the cuts in extended remixed form.

The brassy disco funk jam "Take It To The Top" gets an extended beefed up treatment from Joey Negro. As always with Sunburst tunes the instrumentation is top notch, while Noelle Scaggs vocals ride beautifully over the top.

For those who like things a bit more electronic Andreas Saag delivers a brilliant remix that retains the jazziness of the original but underpinned by a crazy syncopated bassline.

While unveiling the 'Mutant Tournament' Quartet last year, label boss Nachtbraker was quietly hunting for new music behind the scenes. Being the fine huntsman he is, he came out of the woods with sonic bits and bobs so delectable he had no choice but to spread them out over two brand new quartets. That's right, eight records in total, to be released over the course of the next 18 months. We're delighted to introduce you to Scott Franka, who's at the helm of the first missive. This creative head from Amsterdam has been making music since the tender age of 11, but it wasn't until he adopted his Scott Franka moniker that he really found his groove. His music encompasses influences from dub and dark techno to classic drumpcomputer and synth-heavy house. Franka's style takes cues from Detroit, Chicago and the UK, and yet is also very personal and forward thinking at the same time. 'The Gym' might be his solo debut, but a smattering of releases from the man is on the horizon. The best way to introduce you to Scott Franka's musicality is 'The Gym' on A1. Starting of with sweet, melancholic chords and 808 hats Scott turns your world upside down after the first break. Try to keep your head steady, and get that dirty look of your face.. doesn't work right It's just too good. 'Toenail' is up next, and its undeniable groove and incredible amalgamation of synths and strings make for an absolute early hours melter. Flip over for 'Sorry' to hear Franka knock it out of the ballpark with its heavy breakbeat and UK-style bass. Finally, there's 'Street', a mesmerising groover, rounding things off nicely. The release doesn't only mark its first artist EP, it also marks a new look for the label. Building on the muscular,pheromone-rich theme of the first Quartet, Elsemarijn Bruys developed a fresh concept for both new Quartets with a little help from Scott Franka,

Having given us a taster of things to come back in September 2016, with the 'Pressing Matters' single, The Cyclist returns to Hypercolour with a brand new, full length album. And as the title suggests, 'Sapa Inca Delirium' leans heavily on South American mysticism, not just musically, but in the visual imagery that the eleven-track album paints so well across its various tempos and rhythms. From the tropical burst of mood setting opener, 'Go Back' to the steamy and pacey percussive flow of 'Inhale/Exhale' which features regular collaborator Tanaya Harper on vocals, The Cyclist's fourth long player is crammed full of intriguing atmospheres and soundscapes. 'Antiexist', with its down-tempo rolling snare fills and ethereal Gregorian chanting segues effortlessly into 'A Blind Girl Drinks Ayawaska', a suitably discordant and hallucinogenic skit that ensures the album flows into the more rhythmic cuts like 'Skateboarding In The Jungle' and 'Mirrors' (the second album cut to feature Harper on vocals). Even the traditional jazzier vibes of 'When We All Break Down' featuring Joni are kept rugged and boisterous, with heavyweight bending bass, choppy breakbeats and FX'd ambience amongst the smooth jazzy chords and sweet vocal delivery. 'Sapa Inca Delirium' is one of those albums that will reward on repeat listen, such is the diversity of style on show here, and the detailed and wide eyed curiosity offered up across the long player's fifty three minutes.

Over the past couple of years, Kellerkind's unique interpretation of house music has truly catapulted him out of the figurative basement and into the limelight. Whether it was the disco-infused cool of 'Backflash' or the tribal rhythms found on his debut-album 'Basement Story', through hard work, rather than by miracle, Marco Biagini matured into a producer who is at the top of his game. With 'Music is a Miracle' Kellerkind now delivers a sophomore album that offers itself as a diverse and surprising love letter to music, carrying his distinct handwriting. This 12 compiles two of the album's highligts alongside three highcalibre remixes. 'I Know' is trademark Kellerkind, as he treats us to filtered disco breaks, colourful chords and a smooth vocal hook, while 'Music is a Miracle' presents a different style. Here, an extremely funky garage bass-line, Chicago strings and urgent trumpets surprise us as they drop after a Moodyman-esque monologue. Mantra-alert! The B-side is then dedicated to the remixes of 'I Know'. While the British heavyweights Leftwing & Kody bring the heat thanks to energetic dub chords and an urgent acid bass-line on their tasteful interpretation, Oliver Koletzki surprises with a rave-tastic old-school UK hardcore mix. Lastly, Murat Kilic focuses on jacking percussion and a rolling bass-line on his grooving version

Berlin duo The/Das are to release their sophomore album, Exit Strategies, on Life And Death in September 2017, with a first EP from it, ›Drug Dilling‹, coming in July. The absorbing 12-tracker is the result of a period of searching that finds the new line-up of Fabian Fenk and Philipp Koller combine multiple ideas, layers, fragments and sounds and refine their distinct idea of techno tenderness. It makes for a soothing and escapist 60 minute listen that works as well at home, on headphones, as it does loud in the club.
The new album is a perfect blend of the pair's Berlin techno roots with a devotion to organic sounds and cinematic details that makes it a real trip for the head, heart and heel from start to finish. More house influenced than their previous works on labels like Sinnbus, Krakatau and DJ Tennis's Life And Death, their artistic vision ties it all together as the duo continues to push each other, bounce ideas back and forth and eventually distill them into something fresh and new. The album itself was an unhurried affair made from various sketched starting points collected over three years of research. Influenced from their travels, a decade of DJ gigs and shared musical experiences, they then headed into the studio for three intense months to arrange, rework, jam out new material, edit and collate all their sounds and ideas. Finally, they spent three weeks behind the mixing desk, shaping the whole lot into one complete form. Made using an array of drum machines and with a new focus on sampling, the album has experimental loops, sounds and rhythms imbued within, and lyrics that act as textural and emotive interventions, adding to the overall flow.

Forgot 001 is the debut release from London based record label Forgot. The compilation is comprised of four tracks by four different artists: Harry Orso, AKA Ratomagoson, was last year picked up by Gilles Peterson's Future Bubblers project and has gone on to drop a succession of well received releases on labels such as TwoSixtySix, Polyop and Tru Thoughts. Forgot residents Hoffy and Joe S both come from beat-making backgrounds while Phillip Russel AKA Pila boasts an impressive catalog of material online.

Since its release campaign launched earlier this year, the Forgot 001 compilation has received a wealth of positive feedback from a number of revered and respected DJs such as Dom Servini, Adam Scrimshire and David Hanke AKA Renegades of Jazz. The release gained considerable airplay during the summer: Dom Servini on Soho Radio, Risha on Radar Radio, Selassie TBC & Amy Frenchum on Worldwide FM, Toshio Maatsura on Tokyo Moon and Adam Scrimshire on Balamii Radio.

Forgot 001 is due to be released both digitally and on 12" on Friday September 22.

After a lengthy hiatus, Tuskegee Music is back with a heavyweight release indeed: it features tracks written by Detroit heavyweights Seth Troxler—under his Young Seth alias— and cult FXHE boss Omar S. Amazingly they were written 11 years ago and have been long forgotten until recently being unearthed.
The first track here was inspired by a trip Seth made to Berlin's Club Der Visionaere in 2005. 'It basically was me returning to Detroit and telling Omar about this crazy music I heard Ricardo play during the day.' The result, 'Deep'(CDV 2006 Mix), is a spine tingling atmospheric deep house track. The drums are lo-fi and loose, the bassline is a meandering thing that really sucks you in and soft, gentle toms tumble around the groove and encourage you to cut loose.
Then comes the experimental slow motion drum shuffle of 'Detroit After Midnight' which the pair made after 'finding loads of weird records in his basement sampling them and making a classic MPC Detroit cut.' It has the sounds of people talking as if coming from the room next door laid over a lazy and undulating bassline, and is brilliantly weird and sketchy.
Last of all, Young Seth goes solo on 'Luiza's Inferno' five minutes of him jamming on Omar's MS20 with a warbling synth line coated in warm tape hiss and layers of dust. It's a beatless piece that shows how inventive and ahead of his time Troxler was even as a young man.
This is a brilliantly unusual EP and another winner for Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers' Tuskegee label.

Following the release of Alvin Aronson's 'City' EP on White Material earlier this month, the New York based producer has shared clips of his 'High Rise' EP scheduled for release mid-December 2015 on NORD Records.

The 4-track vinyl release features sessions with Morgan Louis and Galcher Lustwerk of White Material as well as a couple of solo tracks.

Freerange welcomes Italian via Berlin producer/DJ/label boss Enzo Elia for his debut on the label entitled The Lost Guitar Tapes. Enzo is someone who has been releasing consistently great music for many years, although
often hidden behind a myriad of pseudonyms and underground imprints. For starters he's responsible for a mysterious yet established and very excellent edits label as well as being a member of Balearic Gabba Sound System alongside Bjorn Torske amongst others. Following the philosophy of this collective, Enzo is also producing lovingly and respectfully created re-edits of long lost techno and house tracks as well as many new tunes
for influential labels including Golf Channel and Compost.
But for now we turn to The Lost Guitar Tapes and specifically the original mix of Drifting which opens up the release with a brilliant tension builder. A rolling bassline, crisp minimal drums and a subtly Middle Eastern-influenced melodic line give just a hint of mysticism to this jewel of a track.
For the remix we have none other than the Tel Aviv via Berlin producer Moscoman, fresh from his brilliant debut LP on ESP Institute and releases on Eskimo and his own Disco Halal label. Moscoman's organic, percussion- heavy sound and Middle Eastern roots make him the perfect choice to take
on Drifting and we couldn't have wished for a better outcome. He manages to inject his own identity to the track with newly recorded live guitar and bass parts and taking in elements of techno, new wave and house, he's created a sublime piece of dancefloor drama. Finally we have an alternate Dub version which lays down a firmer four on the floor, extra percussion and dubby stabs for a more driving atmospheric club tool.

L.A. based funkateer ''Moon B" is bringing his hazy cosmic funk-jams to the PULP imprint. Measure Pleasure is a slice of heavy synth laden otherworldly machine funk that's sure to evoky a vary of sentiments.
With remixes by the Swede 'Golden Ivy' and briton ' Fudge Fingas' , the 5th installment of the PULP series is promising to be a melodious trip down funk avenue.
The title track ''Measure Pleasure'' has that buldging funk bass lying underneath some spacey pads and a great rhythm track. Golden Ivy's version of the title track is emphasizing on the rhythm even more by adding bursting FX and obese kickdrums.
Moon B's Nada Clouds (A3) is a positive yet exotic journey which should be excellent for summer gig's on rooftops anywhere in the world. For the B1 Moon B continues with the percussion laden ''PV Hills'', this bit has those signature chord switches and vibe changes, that are creating a very melancholic atmosphere throughout.
British master of all things melodic ''Fudge Fingas'' flips the original completely, making it more streamlined with just a hint more power.

Paul Hester created his cult Moon Music label in 1997 as a portal for his own productions and sounds. The label was short-lived, with only 3 releases in it's catalogue, all produced by Hester himself. Those few releases on Moon are now highly sought after among House and Techno aficionados who are forever seeking that deeper groove. The interesting part of this story, beyond the amazing music that was released, is that there are many other tracks that never saw the light of the day, thus leaving the full Moon story untold.

The 'Electric Wig EP' was the first release on the label and is here in fully remastered reissue form, with all racks lovingly transferred from Paul Hester's private, personal DAT stash. Memory Box the label born from the party of the same name looks to boss Robin Ball for its next release. Following his first EP, which had all the influences of acid house past and future, this release shows respect to Chicago. Ball has been involved in the dance scene since the age of 14 when he first started his own parties. Since then he has emerged as a singular voice with a discography that takes in essential cuts all the way back to the mid-nineties, most often on Groovepressure. Now back under his own name, he is in fine form. The title track opens the EP in robust fashion, with bubbly drums and gurgling synths all underpinned by a knotted bassline. Dark, filtered vocals add menace and sci-fi pads help take this one out of this world. The dub version removes the vocal and thus places all the focus on those expertly programmed, loose but driving drums. On the flip, Remember' is a more light-footed groove that races along a slick bass line. Cosmic chords add some freakiness and the whole thing is kinetic and infectious. Again displaying fine studio skills that result in grooves with real feelings, this one is sure to make a big impact. This is another standout four track package of timeless house music from the ever exciting Robin Ball.

Following two monumental releases on Crosstown Rebels, Serge Devant is back onboard the label to deliver one of his best to date. The immensely sensual Thinking Of You sees him team up once again with Damiano and Camille Safiya with invigorating remixes from heavy-weights Reboot and Art Department.
Serge Devant has been turning heads since the seminal Fearing Love feat. Camille Safiya dropped in 2015 on Emerald City, picking up the Best Music Video award at the 2016 Hollywood Independent Reel Film Festival. Serge reveals 'it was so nice to have the same company back in the studio to work on more magic!' Thinking Of You breathes the air of summer with its blissfully smooth chords and deep hypnotic tones it's another winner from Serge.

Jonny has seen almost unparalleled success in the world of dance music and continues to be at the forefront of the industry with a huge focus on his record labels and his in-demand label showcases that take the name of his vinyl only label, Social Experiment.
Frankfurt's Reboot brings his flavour to the release with intricate percussion and deep underlying pads. Growing up in Sven Vath's Omen Club, the talented musician now spearheads the 'new sound of Frankfurt' and has released on a wealth of labels like Circus, Moon Harbour, Cadenza and Get Physical.

First release by label boss Tonbe on Hellcat Tunes. Something different than we expected, but who follows Tonbe from beginning, then surely knows what he doing. Leroy Burgess - One of the pioneers of Boogie, a legendary figure in the NYC Disco scene and all-out originator is well known by dance music aficionados across the globe for his output. His LOGG project from the early 80's especially has acquired a cult status amongst diggers, released on Salsoul in 1981 and boasting mixes from Larry Levan the LP became an instant club classic that still commands the dancefloor in 2017. Salsoul is a label that isn't afraid to bridge the gap between their hugely groundbreaking catalogue and contemporary dance music. They understand the impact and influence their music has had on DJ culture and embrace it wholly. Step up UK underground producer Marquis Hawkes who originally approached Salsoul with this set of killer reworkings that had long been private versions that featured in his sets. Having dropped EP's for labels such as Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, AUS Music, Houndstooth and many more his name is firmly planted in the minds of record fiends across the nation. Adopting a classic US style of production, using analog gear, dope loops and chops and finessing it all with his own grittiness, Hawkes seemed a good fit to remix 2 stellar joints from LOGG's catalogue. 'Something Else' and 'I Know You Will' both get cut up, re-edited and laced with rock solid drum programming by Hawkes on this sublime 12". Lovingly tweaked with just the right amount of RAWNESS for the dance this one won't leave your bag anytime soon! Pure peak-time sounds here, another example of Salsoul embracing the sounds of now and breathing freshness into their untouchable catalogue. Essential.

Babylon is the debut 4 track EP on Dogmatik from Okain. Title track Babylon opens the EP with its rolling bass, claps and gritty rhodes, followed by the mainframe processed beats of Radio Therapy, signal processed, countercultural, surveilled. Permeable delivers another trademark Dogmatik elastic bass groove hovering above its classic pads, and the EP closes with the secret weapon, r4r5r6, reprising the same sticky groove, but backed up with a killer bass riff.

Originally released in the spring of 2004, this split EP from EARGASMIC boss DARYL CURA and THE SUN GOD aka JAMAL MOSS caught the attention of DJ's like FRANCOIS K, DJ HARVEY & OMAR S. Now over a decade later this highly sought after 12" finally gets remastered and reissued.
