Large Music continues to showcase the brilliant and creative work of early 90s artists Black Ice with a re-issue of one of the most sought after early Chicago House releases- the Union Camp EP. Originally released in 1993 on the historic Night Club Records, Large Music has now licensed the tracks exclusively for a worldwide vinyl-only release. While all four tracks possess that classic raw Chi-town Soul vibe, it is Track 1, Men on Drums, that has garnered the most attention. Championed the last few years by respected Berlin-based DJ Zip, many of the elite vinyl-only DJs across the globe have sough out a clean copy of this very rare wax masterpiece.

Originally released in 1990 the Sun & Moon Mix of 'Walk On Air' has taken on near mythical status as a benchmark record that brought together strands of Ambient, Deep House, Techno and Trance. The B side sees the original Amphibious Carbine mix joined by two previously unreleased Dubs unearthed from the original DAT tapes.

Second release in our little 10 Inch off-shoot series finds the talents of one 'Jonny Conga'
gracing the grooves with one purpose in mind.

Superconscious is here with it's second instalment Last time we brought you a solo production from Imhotep, whom is one half the Zanzibar Chanel duo and co-founder of Ruff Records. This time we bring you the other half..mysterious Melbourne citizen and all round cool-guy Luis CL. Featuring four stompers which we wont bother trying to explain, because explaining music is like describing your dream last night. Just enjoy yourself and listen.

Marco Passarani, PSS-2099, Analog Fingerprints, M-Chrome, Bass-arani, David Woods, Tiger & Woods, Nature Records, Final Frontier...

Passarani's back with cosmic melodies from planet Rome
'Analog Fingerprints Vol.1' demonstrates Numbers' long held faith in the man as an originator who moves through the sounds of now.

About Passarani
A tireless innovator, constant collaborator, studio mentor, inspirational deejay - Passarani has always been at the forefront of electronic music. With more Discogs pages than the EU has legislation, Passarani has released fine twelves on Gerd Jansons Running Back label, crafted covers of Alexander O'Neal and The Jungle Brothers for Peacefrog, re-invigorated Boogie and Italo as Tiger & Woods and could possibly be the only producer to have been remixed by both Ricardo Villalobos and Autechre.

He has played a pivotal yet covert role forwarding electronic music in Europe and beyond - strengthening the ties between Rome (his hometown), Glasgow, Detroit and Rotterdam with his Final Frontier / Nature stable of labels and to this day he continues to be an inspiration and educator for the younger generation:

Hot on the heals of Phil Kieran's first Blinded By The Sun Album Remix project which featured Roman Flügel and Andrew Weatherall remixes, Hot Creations return with a second remix package. Mano Le Tough, Matthew Herbert and David Holmes all contribute to create a set of flawless cuts and a superb second Remix package.Revered by his peers, Kieran has been producing music for over a decade, building on his solid reputation and forever pushing boundaries with his music. When selecting the second group of remixers, Kieran chose 'people who have influenced me and still currently do, in some way I guess they have a connection to the record already. I made a wish list of who I wanted and to my surprise it all seemed to come together very quickly'. Both heralding from Ireland, Mano Le Tough aka Niall Mannion was an obvious choice for Kieran due to the shared dedication of their craft, and leaves a deeply emotional imprint on Solar Storm. In 2013 Mannion released his debut album Changing Days on Permanent Vacation, soon followed by Resident Advisor ranking him #8 in their Top 100 DJs Poll. Similarly to Kieran, English musician and producer Matthew Herbert regularly ignores the restraints associated with dance music, instead choosing a path of innovation. Taking Realities Forgotten into the early morning hours, Herbert punctures a swinging rhythm with electronic glitches.
David Holmes under his Unloved alias concludes the package with a cinematic remix of Think Too Much, overflowing with emotion, it makes the perfect conclusion to a stellar release. Also from Belfast, Holmes has been composing music for over two decades, winning his second Ivor Novello award in 2016.

Following the success of last years Playgroup 'Previously Unreleased' album and its critically-acclaimed run of nine weekly 12' vinyl EPs, Trevor Jackson has compiled a second volume of 20 tracks (11 unheard and 9 previously vinyl only) released as a Limited Edition Double CD and 6 track vinyl sampler on Nov 3rd via Yes Wave records.
The music featured is a collection of reworked demos and unreleased recordings. A hedonistic mix of raw Disco, Dub, Funk, Dancehall. Electro, New Wave & Post Punk that all still sound as relevant today as they did when initially recorded for the debut PLAYGROUP album during 1997 - 2001.

REPRESS ALERT: Back in the day, there was one artist that stood out in the underground, this person was admired and respected worldwide, his cuts we're played from Paris, London, NYC to Chicago & back again, he was - Olivier Portal AKA Playin'4 The City. This year, 2014 - Playin 4 The City is back, 3 brand new tracks released on the deeply respected US label - Plastik People. Side A delivers two soulful edged tracks with a reprise at the start of A1 which keeps the roots of P4TC from back in the day - both tracks include live bass by Slikk Tim. Side B "Good Groove" is a black & white track, It has the feel of the early Bouge & Shuffle track that came out on Olivier's Straight Up label, deep & groovy elements, 16 bit samples & keeping it four to the floor. Good Groove is sure to be a classic, one for the true heads & the P4TC collective.

We are very excited to welcome ROCCO & ESQUIVEL to COSMICA's roster this year. The duo formed by Rodrigo Desentis (México) and Eduardo Esquivel (Uruguay) provide an uptempo gem strictly designed for the dance floor. Esquivel is a well know name in the Latin American electronic music scene, since he started his residency at the mythical club EXTASIS in Montevideo. After 25 years of career and extensively touring through Uruguay, Brasil and Argentina, Eduardo has settled in México city with residencies in the acclaimed BLANCO COLIMA and CASA DISCO.DUBMASTERS was our first choice for a Remix candidate, and we could not be more stoked with the outcome. The spacey pads and reverberating drums of the intro, already announce the departure to a cosmic destination well know by all familiar with their previous releases on our label. The tight bassline provides the classic 'Electro' background for the wanky guitar chops to flourish into a flock of migrating melodies that fly in all directions in the sky above.EDDIE C, the Canadian / Berlin resident 'SLO-MO DISCO MAESTRO', closes the EP and puts the cherry on top, adding a latin feel good climate to the package. The summer vibes can be felt all over this track, with a driving percussive beat and a climaxing vocal breakdown that will have you begging for more PALTA CON CREMA!COSMICA MUSIC is a vinyl only record label from Patagonia, Argentina, and our releases are being supported by seasoned selectors such as DJ Rocca, Daniele Baldelli, LTJ Experience, Ali OOFT!, Salvatore Stallone, John Paynter, DJ Garth, Jeno, Hugh Herrera, Mark E Quark, Eddie C, Tim Sweeney, and Prins Thomas to name a few.

This June Session Victim returned to Delusions Of Grandeur imprint with their third studio album.Listen To Your Heart is the result of a year of cross-continental scripting, started in their Hamburg studio and wrapped up stateside in San Francisco's Room G Studios where the duo had worked on their 2014 LP See You When You Get There. Here we present the third of three LP samplers containing four tracks each, cut nice and loud for the vinyl crew.
We kick things off with Almost Midnight, another uplifting summer jam loaded with trademark Session Victim energy and positive vibrations. Next up we have Castle For Sale which drops the bpm's for a dub influenced, spaced out jam session sounding like King Tubby and Nightmares On Wax getting stuck in the proverbial lift with a large bong for company.
Flipping over we have a Head Over Heels, which goes heavy on the lush orchestral strings and a brilliant bouncing Moog bassline bringing a deft touch. Finally we're treated to Thermal Explorer, which incorporates some wonderful Larry Heard-esque keyboards for a perfect wind-down track to close the release.
An impeccable demonstration of retro-inspired yet forward thinking house and downtempo music,Listen To Your Heartsees Session Victim at the top of their game.

"When I first heard the late J Dilla's magnum opus »Donuts« I had an epiphany. Feeling like a mixture of calming emotions yet irresistibly vivid, it was a true masterpiece with infinite replay value. Certainly that record did not mark the invention of instrumental hip-hop, nor was it the first beat tape I discovered. But that particular album sparked a turning point in the history of music. Stepping outside of every MC's shadow, producers were finally being acknowledged as individuals. Suddenly it appeared that behind all these bleeps, kicks, buttons and samples, a versed mind was in charge. Crafting beats was finally considered what it always was: a form of art.

Ten years later, dust has settled into the grooves of records that we now find in crates and boxes labeled as »beat art«. Every so often we dig up surprisingly good records and feel quite fortunate. Distinct details push you to look further into an unknown record - let it be the look, the condition or even the smell. After the needle touches the surface and a few head nods, you feel personally involved. »Guide RA« is no different as Frankfurt City beatsmith Thelonious Coltrane's second full length LP invokes that same feeling, a warm embrace of everything a young spirit could take away from a stack of jazz records.

Just don't get too cozy reminiscing the cats from back in the day. The subtle blends of 70s jazz and 90s soul hit hard. Reliving some of the finest moments from the golden age of hip-hop in today's perspective, the record feels familiar from front to back. Produced with Maschine and SP-404. Mastered by the one and only Figub Brazlevic. This is a new generation of producers. Theo is one of them."

For the 2nd installment on Sturo the calm sloth-like Tiago Walter contributes 3 groovy house jams straight outta Bockenheim which also is his natural habitat.

THE SUPERB WOLF MUSIC IS BACK WITH A KILLER EP FT REVENGE & KLR SLO MO DISCO / DISCO HOUSE AT ITS BEST

Across the street from where Trouw used to be, lies a nice little hotel. It was in the basement of this hotel, where a curious meeting happened. Something so coincidental and so unassumingly trivial, that even the slightest event of randomness could have prevented this from ever happening, yet it did happen and here we are. This curious meeting was the result of an open studio door of Nachtbraker, and the hint of disco coming out the door, where Dr. San Proper just happened to pass by in search of whatever it is he searches for at 10 am on a Tuesday. The good doctor decided to walk in, greeted Nachtbraker in his ordinary weird way and casually grabbed a microphone. Nachtbraker pressed record, Dr. Proper got his inner Mick Jagger on, and behold: Misses, madame, mademoiselle was born: an up-tempo disco groove with Nachtbraker's touch of loose arrangement, and San Proper's amazing vocals. We asked our good friends and great producer duo Session Victim to re-interpret M.m.m. and they gave it a great dreamy-but-groovy twist, adding pads and shuffling hi-hats. We had already heard Nachtbraker working on a deep house - meets - afro track a while back and he made 2 versions of this track to complement the EP. Hamdi is probably one of the most euphoric tracks in his discography to date, and it's one you're likely to hear a lot in the coming time. With the use of chopped vocals (we'll let you figure out the source material) and a teasing build up, the track breaks down into a lovely chant, adding energy with every bar without ever coming close to being tacky or overproduced. The alternate version is an excursion into 808 booty territory, using different chops, alienating loops and yes, even a siren.

Vinyl only!Pareidolia is proud to present the second ep of its catalogue, from sweden the young talented producer Sean Dixon, also the label owner of the great record label "final chapter".Thinked for the acid brains & electro addicted, voices ep rappresents the perfect combo of the chicago/electro sound of Sean.

DJ Steaw returns this September with a fresh EP on Kerri Chandler's Madhouse Records entitled 'Bel Air', featuring three original productions available via a limited vinyl pressing & digital outlets.Based in Paris, DJ Steaw has firmly established himself as a central figure within the cities ever impressing scene, with his blend of Chicago and Detroit influenced house gaining the attention of many ever since his production debut back in 2005.
With previous releases on labels including Hot Haus Recordings and Phonogramme, Steaw also runs his own record labels Rutilance Recordings and Steaward, featuring his own releases and EP's from artists such as Paolo Rocco and Janeret. A regular at infamous French music venues such as Rex Club (Paris), IBoat (Bordeaux) and Terminal (Lyon), here we see Steaw bring his pallet of smooth Parisian grooves to Madhouse, resulting in an impressive debut from the Frenchman.Kick starting the EP is 'Bel Air', with its steady core accented by swinging drums patterns and an influx of bright pads and playful vocals, before 'Reach Out' emerges and lays the focus on a rolling House groove reinforced by a series of heavy hitting kicks.
Last up is 'Destiny', and sees DJ Steaw utilise precise organic percussion patterns and rumbling sub tones layered under infectious vocals to round out the EP in fine style.

Pender Street Steppers drop in on the lo-NRG side with MH008 : The Glass City / Golden Garden. This vinyl record could be compared to a Home Depot furnished office complex or a slimy algae covered rock briefly revealed by the tide. This is music for car parks, drywall delivery vans, and days when the air smells fresh but slightly shitty.
The record is already seeing huge support from DJs such as Pender Street Steppers!

REPRESSED !!
Basic Fingers is back and welcomes Philou Louzolo to the label, who delivers two blistering edits and one original track for the label's twenty ninth release.

First up is 'Lumumba's Revenge', an original cut, produced and arranged by Philou Louzolo himself, creating an intoxicating mood to start off the release.
Next up is 'Tartit's Tribe', an edit of an original desert song from the Tombouctou region of Mali.
As if that wasn't enough to set the juices flowing, Philou ends the release on the flip with 'Fadimata's Dibabba', a track built around exotic melodies, chanted vocals and chunky percussion.

Visionquest Special Edition returns this September with Sakro's 'Supersymmetry' EP.

Edgardo Alonso aka Mexican producer and DJ Sakro has been rising up the ranks over the past few years with his raw, stripped-back approach to house seeing him release material with revered imprints in the field such as Raum...musik, Housewax, Karlovak and Fathers & Sons. Here we see the Sakro joining the roster of Visionquest offshoot Special Edition, the vinyl only imprint home to material from Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards, Wareika and Konrad Black amongst others.

Up first on the package is 'Lusyd', a shuffling percussion fuelled number featuring swinging snares, murky atmospheric pads and choppy sub bass hits at its core. 'Jazz In Mars' follows embracing robust rhythms and an amalgamation of jazzy sample snippets alongside resonant synth swells to create a sturdy peak time workout.

'Voices' opens the B-Side of the release with heavily swung drums, smooth ethereal chords and lumpy sub frequencies while a dark and brooding vocal ebbs and flows throughout the composition. Title-cut 'Supersymmetry' then closes out the release with an energetic rhythmic drive, intricately modulating synth flutters and snaking pad lines.
Sakro's 'Supersymmetry' EP is out on Visionquest Special Edition 22nd September 2017.

An early 1990s bittersweet House anthem & Terrence Parker joint too - Essential!

SPACEY HOUSES would have been part of the old KNARESBOROUGH FOREST when Blind Jack roamed The Nidd Valley way back in 1888. Now it's a district that divides the Yorkshire Ridings Counties. The very first Dream House EP - 1.1 introduced a talent from Wattrelos by the name of JIMINI. He then created the very first Return Tripp EP and now the very first SPACEY HOUSES. A record specifically space crafted by Jimini & Luv*Jam together.

Infused with minty flavours this next blend brings raw grooves, warm baselines and uplifting melodies. Crafted with love they make the perfect accompaniment to twilight settings, tracks supplied from Mattiik (UK), Slim Steve (Italy), DOS (Austria) and James Henry (UK).

Anthony Fade embark on the fifth expedition into the exotic lands of palm trees and blue skies with their club fuelled 'What I Need' EP. Expedition five features four jams packed full of catchy vocals, crunchy drum patterns and hazy synth lines.

After releasing her Debut Album on Jus Ed's Underground Quality label, Dana Ruh returns here to her own label, Brouqade, with this stunning 3 track EP "Yardang".

This Release is all about deep vibes and atmospheric sounds, even though the focus never leaves the dance oor !
The EP kicks off with Case Sensitive , a track that catches the feel good vibe perfectly.

With a swinging baseline, strong claps and mesmerizing
chords, Dana continues her very own denition of warm organic deep house.

I'm surprised whats real' Starts off as an atmospheric tip and soon evol-ves into a real trip. A multilayered atmosphere stands in contrast to the drum programming, showing the producer's experimental side in the pro-cess.

With a stronger groove in focus the B Side "Yardang" completes the Ep.
During the arrangement, more and more jazzy elements drop in, delive-ring a melodic track full of elegance. A composition that knows exactly how to move a dance oor...

HNNY returns to Omena with 'Ta Paus', the long awaited return since the Grammy award winning debut album 'Sunday', released in 2015. Since the first release on Studio Barnhus back in 2011 Johan 'HNNY' Cederberg has had a prolific output and released his music on several labels such as Local Talk, Let's Play House & Permanent Vacation. In 2013 he set up his own label Yummy and Puss together with Kornel Kovacs.
Add to this several remixes and an extensive touring schedule in the US and Europe.Never afraid to choose a different route or aim for the delightfully simple but deliciously listenable, 'Ta Paus' is HNNY 2017. Artwork by Rickard Eklund

Laurence Guy returns to Church a year since his first offering.

Originally released in October 2016 - 'Maajo' marked the inauguration of a new imprint: Queen Nanny. Spread across 4 sides of vinyl, the LP was a 'meandering journey' that saw a newly formed Finnish five-piece expand and develop a canon set by Herman Prime's EP under the same title that was released via Seagull in 2015.
Following it's warm reception, Queen Nanny returns with an all-star remix package that sees Luke Vibert, Call Super and Dengue Dengue Dengue all interpret selections from the original album. Altogether a tougher and more contorted collection of music - the remixes effectively pull Maajo out of it's habitual home-listening environment and drop it directly on the dancefloor to stunning effect - TIP.

Another sizeable bite outta the Big Apple !The mighty NY EDITS series returns ! VERY limited and mysterious one-off 12's emanating, as you might expect, from the city that never sleeps
Put together by a legendary NY record store owner from a personal stash of edits constructed for back in the day club play, which still sound super fresh and effective today !
Always a presale sellout - so don't snooze

During the mid-80s and early 90s Movin' Records defined the New Jersey sound. A skate-shop-turned-record-store run by the so-called 'fairy godmother of house' Abigail Adams, Movin's first output was 'I've Got The Music' by Boyd Jarvis in 1987, followed by music from game changers Blaze, Kerri Chandler, Tony Humphries and Smack; straight up 'Jersey jams' that producers are still attempting to replicate to this day. Still the Movin' Records catalogue throws up gems that sound super fresh along with plenty of lightbulb moments of musical discovery.
For the most part Movin' Records focused on soulful vocal tracks but they peppered a few deeper tracks into the catalogue too. This is one of those releases and one of the rarer titles to find from the label. Produced by Steve Kelly and Steve 'lucky' Benson as 3 A.M., this was the only single under that group name, although they were involved in other productions from New Jersey. Deep chords, a heavy kick and a low-end bass form the backing for the repeated vocal line 'I Love This Place'. The 'Place Of Worship' mix brings an uplifting piano line to the forefront, whilst an organ line jams out through the track with a jazzy walking bassline holding the groove together.

Good things come to those that wait, that rings true of this, the most anticipated release on Vitalik to date.
The Jedi House EP has been a while in the making and on listening you can immediately hear why. Each high hat, each snare, each kick is meticulously crafted.
Agnes is the embodiment of the consummate perfectionist and here on the Jedi House EP he makes a welcome return to the dubbed out, chugging house grooves he first became renowned for.
While the EP contains weapons for deeper dance floors, the audio motifs throughout allow the listener succinct excursions left and right of the underlying musical theme, enabling it to flow from start to finish as one rounded body of music.

Fresh off the heels of the success of their 'Waiting Ground' EP, the boys in black, Frank & Tony, are skating back onto the scene with another four track summer stomper, 'Under the Jaguar Sun'. The A-side starts things off with the titular track, a rollicking deep house number primed for sunset raves. A bouncing and lush bass line is the back bone of the track, as crisp hi-hats, distant, yearning pads, and shimmering bells propel dancers forward into eyes closed euphoria. Things ramp up quickly into peak-time ecstasy on the Breakaway edit of Solo Andata's A Ballet of Hands.' A whirling dervish of delicate music boxes, bowed guitars, delicate music boxes, and distant horns swirl around and weave in and out between a skipping drum pattern, pushing and pulling alongside a gruff and stuttering bass, perfect for those late night rooftop ventures. The B-side takes listeners into early morning after hours territory, starting with the groovy Difficult Loves.' An airy and luscious double bass keeps things bouyed as introspective pads shimmer alongside pillars of aquatic synths. Backed by a classic, shuffling NY House drum groove, this one is best served late into the evening. The boys wrap things up on a high note with the latin vibes of Sargasso.' Crisp tambourines keep things light as dense kicks and a bass line deeper than the deepest canyon pull dancers deep into the floor with a warm embrace. The star of the show is the bouncing and earnest synth line, which is partnered up with a pair of playful toms in a game of cat and mouse, making this track a weapon anywhere you place it in a set.

Having been rivals on the football pitch as teenagers, a chance encounter many years later - djing at an International windsurfing festival - cumulated in a back to back set that 'kicked off' the Italia90 collaboration.Putting the footballing differences aside, Italia90 grew out of a shared love of quality house music that was influenced greatly by Glasgow's close relationship with Chicago and institutions such as the Sub Club that brought these house heroes close to home.Inspired by seeing the likes of Kerri Chandler and Mike Dunn playing in the city regularly, they ran their own night, Tuff Crowd, in Glasgow's infamous basement club of the Berkley Suite for two years before launching a new chapter with Tuff Crowd moving to South East London in 2015.
The Smiling Faces EP follows on from Italia90's debut release, Streetlady on the Morris/Audio compilation Approaching 100.
Whereas Streetlady was a summery, vocal, filtered house track, the Smiling Faces EP goes darker with a clear focus on the Club with dramatic melodies, clever vocals and punchy percussion all topped off with a killer remix by Berlin's finest, Iron Curtis
