The vinyl arm of the Lessizmore family makes a welcome return with this very
special release that draws on close friends of the label for an adventure deep into the
heady fringes of the house and techno world. Our invited guest San Proper is a
powerhouse of the Amsterdam music scene, operating in his own idiosyncratic sound
world while maintaining connections with such esteemed operations as Rush Hour
and Perlon.

'It Was A Night Like This' is the perfect reminder of Proper's innate gift for fusing
organic instruments with contemporary electronics, not to mention his love of
seductive atmospheres and cheeky sampling. With a brooding krautrock pulse running
through the track and a wealth of sonic decoration adding to the film noir atmosphere,
it's the perfect soundtrack to a deadly cocktail in a dimly lit bar with a dame to kill
for.

If there is one producer we know that relates to the spirit of 'It Was A Night Like
This', it's Maayan Nidam. With her own productions sharing similar natural, hand-
played qualities, she made the perfect choice for a remix artist, and she adds the most
exquisite subtle touches of dub and psychedelia to Proper's original. More
importantly, she never loses sight of the groove even as the atonal synth swells come
drifting in and the freak factor takes hold.

On the B-side, Proper turns to his neighbourhood friend Tom Trago to lend some
Rhodes touches to 'Octo-Jive', a loose-fit journey through fractured rhythms and TV
samples, and woozy jazz tones. It's just the kind of jam to take a hold of your
subconscious and run away with it, moving between nocturnal moodiness and
soothing harmony with fluidity.

Far away from the safety and predictability of standard house and techno, San Proper
shares with Lessizmore his vision for musique sans frontières, and it's an exciting,
evocative place to be.

Young Bordeaux-based producer Leon Revol found support from the likes of Move D with his 2016 debut EP for Monologues Records 'Clear Definition'. Following releases on Secret Reels and Future Disco, he returns with another stunning collection of tracks that are considerably beyond his years. 'Pink Coffee' and 'Sun Is The Place' see him work pleasingly warm synth lines over organic percussion, 'Embers' channels more sunshine with its summery guitar licks and 'Birds' shows his depth wth a non-dancefloor workout reminiscent of Floating Points.

While David Moufang, also known as Move D, certainly needs no introduction, the label Polyfon remained a tip for insiders. It might seem like a long shot, but that's probably what led to the fact that the paths of David Moufang and Wolfram Both - one of the Polyfon founders - crossed a few years back. The Erfurt located imprint was mostly recognized for its underdog releases from Berlin-based Tomtomgroove (The Funkman), Steffen Baldo aka Ugly Drums from Cologne (Basement Amusement Park, The Next Room) and even Workshops mastermind Lowtec who released his critically acclaimed Angstrom EP with the Thuringian Label. The rather unique position, that Polyfon worked itself up to, was presumedly the reason for Move D to join them for his upcoming release. The OG version of the Bossa #1 is one of the rare recordings of Moufang from the late 80ís. Played on acoustic guitar and a loop station, the track balances successfully between easy to approach, dreamy and melodic while its far away from being trivial at all. The distinctive character of this song will have the same reminiscence as the track Marshmellow from the Airbag Craftworks compilation two decades ago. Additional to the original cut, the 12ì comes with 3 remarkable reworks from the extended Polyfon family. Frankfurtës Le Rubrique who gained attention with his latest release on Footjob featuring Phonk D adapts to the track with a Late Night approach, while the Hangout Project shows you how Hamburg moves to bossa with their detailed and field recording charged piece. Ugly Drums & Chesney are holding the torch for the unpredictability that polyfon is known for with their Total Rework that sends you off to Nirvana.

The brand new label from Tokyo 'INFODUMP' drops new era House producer testa's debut EP and it comes with a superb OOFT! remix. testa a.k.a. Takuro Hasumi has been a part of Tokyo and Yokohama area club scene as a DJ and Live act, whose tracks have been picked up in Beats In Space and Bill Brewster's DJ History Podcast and in 2013. his track was in Tom Tom Disco's 1st compilation alongside with Avanti(Porn Wax), Iñigo Vontier (NEIN/Correspondant) and etc. Title track 'Losing My Illusions' is a heavy tune. Detroit-ish flutter drums and fat synth bass invite us to dope funky grooves, but looped voice samples and spacey synth works remind of Deep House/Nu Disco cliché at the same time. Scottish House master OOFT!, whose music has been released on labels the world over like Instruments Of Rapture, Wolf Music and Let's Play House, succeeded to make original's House feelings further deeper.

Recently appearing on the mighty Crosstown Rebels with a remix of Shaun J. Wright & Alinka 'Face The Truth', sought after duo Audiojack are back serving up a solid two-track release in the form of 'Turya'.
'Turya' is built for serious heads down sessions fusing subtle acid pads with soaring synths and sonorous spoken words. The hypnotic quality of the teacher's words beguiles and entrances the dance floor, allowing people to lose themselves in them and its evolving groove. 'Event Horizon' is a different beast altogether, with a heavy drum and bass vibe, a four-four format, and a classic "amen" break beat style.
In 2015 Audiojack launched their Sunday Social free party at Veto club in their home of Ibiza, which after a strong season will continue this year. Their first Essential Mix recently dropped on Radio 1 and a string of highly successful releases and remixes on labels such as Hot Creations, Tsuba, 20/20 Vision and their own Gruuv has solidified their place in the dance music elite. It's safe to say that 2016 is proving to be a big year for the talented duo.

Having already blessed the airwaves with their masked Boiler Room performance, and with releases and features seen on YUME, Huntley's & Palmers, Permanent Vacation and Antho- ny Napel's Probito, the promising talents of Edinburgh duo Hi & Saberha¨gen continue on Lo with 'Acid Finger'.

The five track EP showcases exactly what the pair are known for, exploring the balance of the subtle and direct natures of dance music. There is something extremely unique about their productions that breathes new life into an arguably stat- ic climate.

'Acid Finger' travels from highs to lows at a consistent and co- herent pace, starting with the sparkling, disco tinged 'Force´ Boi^te'. Euphoric heights are executed through light flourish- ing synth lines, drum patters and chord stabs. 'Woodrum' maintains the pace but switches the tone with jungle rhythms and a pounding bass.

Ominous belter 'Git' with its driving kick, looped vocal sample and rolling bass. The track develops into a hopeful finish with the introduction of glittering synth movements.
Title track 'Acid Finger' delivers beautifully delicate percus- sive and melodic work that progressively shapes up against fleeting shrill synth lines that come to a fitting crescendo.
Ending the release is the melancholic atmospheres created in 'Redacted', bringing a shift in mood and imitating a trudge through memory lane.

Expect to see and hear a lot more from these guys in the future..

A staple album since its release in 1998, 'Heavenly' is as relevant today as it was twenty years ago. It turned heads everywhere, got the underground scene buzzing and set dance floors ablaze like an accomplished pyromaniac. Now, the album is back for another round of Techno-flavored goodness.
Revisited, tweaked and rearranged by Kevin Saunderson under his E-Dancer moniker, the album not only comes with additional material in addition to the 1998 originals, but is also poised to fuel a number of exclusive E-Dancer live shows. A collection of songs sure to keep the dance floor ablaze for decades, 'Heavenly' (Revisited) is set to make history once more.

Following Mandingo's 'Universe II' on Rekids last year the label has tapped Thomas Melchior and Larry Heard for remixes.
Mandingo is best known as Detroit producer Monty Luke, the founder of Black Catalogue whennot appearing on labels like Planet E and Dogmatik. Echoing synths and crunchy percussion join trippy nuances and effects in Melchior's otherworldly reinterpretation. Meanwhile on the flip, Larry Heard distorts the original into a mesmerising number featuring a meandering hook and intricate melodies.

Man of the moment Corey Baker, better known as Pattern Drama, is slated to release a 12 Inch record on Boston-based Cenote Records later this year. The Wait for Me EP features the namesake track backed by vocals from the incorrigible Aquarius Heaven and Hezza Fezza, and a second original track, a collaboration with the duo of Johnny Cruz and Silky, aka dis-CerN. Sitting on the flip is a monstrous remix from Francesca Lombardo (Crosstown Rebels)

After a first explosive success release Spaghetti Monster doesn't wanna stop and presents U a ticket to a Deep Space journey with Russian dj & producer Spaceanddisco. His Original mix opens the EP and take U to a 9 min space adventure with lots of intergalactic percussions, deep bases and hypnotic vocals. A real hypnotic bomb for a tech music lovers. The space diving continues with a groovy and dope remix from a Visionquest residents and cool German duo - Square Room Heroes.
With it's heavy bass line and brightest drops this remix won' leave U sitting on a couch after a just 30 sec of listening. And the third one remix is a work of Monster's friend from UK - Casual Affair. This duo brings a very interesting version with blend of nice old school synths and detailed percussion bringing vibes not to make this journey to an end so fast. Follow the monster!

Label honcho Bloody Mary returns to the helm for the 34th release on Dame-Music, two original tracks 'Knockout' and 'No Feeling Is Final' are backed with a huge remix from none other than Berghain resident, label boss & renowned producer Marcel Fengler.

Alien electronics, ominous pads and a heavy dose of acid craft unmistakably analogue cuts that tread the line between electro and techno.

'Knockout' stretches across the A-side, a pulsating, incessant acid line snakes its way about the raw 909 drums, tweaked and breaking in a series of hat and crash rolls reminiscent of classic Chicago joints. On the flip, Marcel Fengler masterfully re-imagines 'Knockout' in to a driving percussive, workout, subtly adding and removing elements into a hypnotic, frenetic cut worthy of the dance floor.

Finally, 'No Feeling Is Final' slows the pace, haunting metallic strings rise and fall between twisted circuitry, an emotive number that could just as easily warm
the crowd early as it could jerk tears at close.

Soulful house music w/an electronic edge f/ the vocals of Raneen, from a promising young talent from Bordeaux, who met PTA when they played at the legendary Bootleg Club in 2013. Upon hearing the sketches of these tracks they signed them immediately.

Jon Billick has his own unique take on that classic house sound, being a DJ / Producer from New York City, he's built his sound from the roots of the music on which he was brought up on in its underground scene. The Lavel 'Moods & Grooves' welcomes Athens based rising star Phaze Dee to it's roster of well respected and established artists.

Approaching a decade of work - Phaze had appeared on several popular labels as a producer and in demand remixer.

For their fourth release on Compost, SIREN, (Darshan Jesrani and Dennis Kane) offer up Lulu. A haunting and driven song with an emotionally lacquered vocal from Devi Mamboka. The song also features elegant guitar work from Danny Chavis of The Veldt (His twin brother Daniel sang vocals on SIREN'S first release) bass from SIREN engineer supreme Mark Dann, and percussion from Liquid Liquid front man Salvatore Principato. The Italian disco- and cosmic pioneers Daniele Baldelli and Marco Dionigi joined forces for an extraordinary timeless smoothly grooving re-interpretation of Lulu.

For a relatively new artist to release a double 12" with zero filler on it is most impressive indeed, and that's just what tape_hiss has done here on this, the 10th Love Note from Brooklyn. The first disc contains the EP's deeper material, with tracks like Nasty Boy and Cognitive Dissonance getting filled to the brim with dark, foreboding basslines and anxious, dystopian melodies. Disc 2 finds tape_hiss flexing his muscles a bit more and going outside of what we've heard him do thus far; ie the rugged breakbeat funk of No Neck and Bad as Hell and the arpeggiated thunder and volatile percussion of Barely Trippin'.

2017 sees Maya Jane Coles release her most substantial body of work to date, her second album 'Take Flight' on her own label I/AM/ME. The long awaited follow up to her debut album 'Comfort' and 'Nocturnal Sunshine" Maya is somewhat of an enigma in today's music world, on this album she has written, produced, engineered, arranged, mixed and performed all of the tracks even designing the artwork herself. The album features appearances from Chelou, GAPS and Wendy Rae Fowler. Preceded by her critically acclaimed EP 'Won't Let You Down' which has received amazing support from the international DJs community clubs and on radio; with Pete Tong making a track his 'Essential New Tune'. Also featuring the tracks 'Cherry Bomb' and 'Round In Circles', the EP saw premieres with Wonderland, Mixmag, Complex, Groove and Huffington Post. Remixes came from Catz 'n Dogz and Paride Saranceni with the next batch of tracks 'Weak' and 'Werk' poised to drop imminently! A phenomenal year of global gigs starting with a double header at Coachella (USA) in April, UK festivals such as Parklife, Wildlife and SW4 as well as appearances through out the summer in Ibiza at Ushuaia and Pacha. House music maestro Louie Vega returns to Nurvous to remix Disco hit 'Up Jumped The Devil' by John Davis & The Monster Orchestra.

Originally released in 1977 on Sam Records, 'Up Jumped The Devil' featured music performances from some of Philly's finest musicians, many of whom also featured on albums by the Salsoul Orchestra. Among them were Michael 'Sugar Bear' Foreman on bass, drummer Charles Collins and guitarist Dennis Harris. Percussion came from Larry Washington, whilst Don Renaldo provided the strings and horns. With a rugged and rough rhythm section and blazing horn parts, the track was an absolute bomb amongst disco DJs at the time and continues to shine as a gem today.

Fast forward 40 years, Michael Weiss - son of Sam Records president and founder Sam Weiss - sends the track's digitized elements to close friend and associate Louie Vega, whose timeless body of work includes trendsetting productions both as a solo artist and with his Elements of Life band and the more recent Soulfrito Project, and alongside Kenny Dope as Masters At Work. That aside, the New York native has always possessed a great knowledge and respect for R&B and Disco that laid the foundation of the current nightlife soundtrack.

2016 was especially big for Louie, as 'Starring...XXVIII' was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Dance / Electronic album category and was the source of multiple singles that lit up dance floors in clubs around the world. Louie is currently in the middle of a worldwide tour including DJ sets and full band performances.

Last year also saw Vega produce the smash remix of John Davis & The Monster Orchestra's 'Bourgie, Bourgie', which was Traxsource's No. 6 biggest selling download of 2016. He now returns, adding his unique production skills to another John Davis & Monster Orchestra classic from the Sam Records discography by remixing seminal disco-funk jam 'Up Jumped The Devil'.

The Sam Records catalogue is owned and administered by Nervous Records, with which Louie has a long history dating back to the label's signature tune 'The Nervous Track' by Nuyorican Soul. Nurvous Records is the sister imprint to Nervous Records, and is known for being one of the premier brands specializing in forward-thinking future club music.

Superb collection of early 90s underground deep house classics by the legendary dub maestro MK. First up is the hard-to-find remix of Terence Trent D'Arby's 'Surrender' which takes D'Arby's soulful vocal and puts some classic MK fire underneath it to create a awesome deep house banger which received heavy rotation both in the clubs and on the airwaves. Next we get one of MK's best dubs - his brilliant take on the B52's 'Tell It Like It T-I-Is', a chugging house belter which adds a haunting bass and melody to the band's expertly chopped up vocal chants. The flip side keeps up the pressure with the awesome dub mix of Betty Boo's 'Thing Goin On', another of his finest dub mixes, and lastly the in-demand classic 'Bicycle Dub' of the Pet Shop Boys' 'Can You Forgive Her', only ever available as a limited promo but huge on the underground scene.
