Sound Mirror presents the debut release of another new talent from the Orson Wells clique. Hailing from the deeper westside of Frankfurt (South Hessia), please welcome: Gerait, head honcho of Bockenheim Housenation. Sweet ambient sounds slide into an epic deep house stomper on side A, followed by an atmospheric and lush minimal synth disco track on B1, plus a bass heavy, slightly eery and sort of tribal rhythm track on B2. Another great eclectic and well rounded 12 EP.

Burgeoning DJ and producer Bontan makes his debut on the notorious Hot Creations label. Hotly anticipated, the release features two original cuts to fuel his rising profile.UK based Bontan has been using title track The First Time as his secret weapon for the last six months and is now finally unleashing it. 'I've been testing it and tweaking it play by play!' he explains. 'The vocal compliments the rolling bass melody and gives it a darker edge'. This a producer who fully understands how to create a track for a heaving dancefloor. Personal Question is the second cut and flips the mood entirely with a twisted vocal entwined in beeps and percussion, whilst stirring the sentiments of lost early hours.A firm favourite in the underground scene, he has built a solid reputation with releases on Circus Recordings, 20/20 Vision, and Cajual among others.

* Over the past six years, Dimensions has become a leading name in the underground, with its festival, International Series, DJ Directory and Dimensions Soundsystem. Now, Dimensions extends its influence with the start of its label - Dimensions Recordings. The label launches with a 12-track compilation across three separate discs. 'An Introduction' makes a huge statement in setting out the label's intent and breadth. With artists established and new stepping up to present 12 exclusive tracks.
* Dimensions Recordings explores its darker side on An Introduction Part 3 with intergalactic oddities and twisted techno constructions, the release is definitely ones for the late hours. 'Crosstalk' from gear heads London Modular Alliance opens; a squelching, electro, hardware excursion demonstrating a small snippet of what's to come from the talented trio. Next, French artist, Upwellings steps up to demonstrate his purist approach as he unites elements of dub and techno to create the beautifully spacey 'Soft Shadows'. The third offering comes courtesy of Fachwerk label boss and prolific techno artist, Mike Dehnert; who presents raw but melodic track in 'Tokio,'which maintains his minimal and stripped back aesthetic beautifully. Chicago's Steven Tang in his Obsolete Music Technology rounds off the release with 'Comb Freq,' a devastatingly powerful mix of acidic, bleeping dance floor energy!

The official reissue of ERB, a collaboration between Braxton Holmes and Ron Trent on Clubhouse Records from Chicago. 92 style deepness - when things really started to get musical again. Soulful and jazzy vocal, and one for the house heads...huge TIP!
When Ron Trent tried to make a disco record in the early nineties he and his friend Big Ed came up with the song "the Weekend"...For us at Rush Hour this song is considered a landmark title in Chicago house. The song is sweet, soulful, driving and stands the test of time. After all those years you can still play it out and it will sound fresh. When Ron visited Amsterdam in early 2013 he gave us his blessing to re-release this gem. The whole thing has been produced with A third person and he goes by the name of Braxton Holmes. So then Erb probably means (E)d, (R)on, (B)raxton... Enjoy!

G String brings something new to the Broken Dreams pot. Stripped down, bare bones blackened machine music. Decoration is removed, the ornate purged. In their place sit burnt out remains. Chords are hollowed and scraped, rhythms smeared and smudged as loneliness is amplified. A stark and spartan statement of grey skies and dark eyes.

Ruff Stuff returns to their own label and are proud to announce a new 4 track EP.
Untitled04 is the result of different experiments on the sound and introduces a novelty for the label: the first official remix by the lovely Italian duo Black Loops.
'Never Ending' opens the A side with its raw groove, a hypnotic pad warming everything up and a vocal that will drive the listeners to unexplored territories. 'M.A.M.T.' showcases the most familiar sound of Ruff Stuff: warm techno stabs on a straight groove filled with a single vocal and a synthetic arpeggio in the second part.
On the B side the sound changes its shape with 'Flying': a mixture of rough grooves, disco samples, female vocals and a touch of acid. The remix by Black Loops brings the track back to very house territories chopping the original samples more and filling them with a solid beat and shining hats.
Just put the needle on, push play and dance! Vinyl only, limited copies.

Three major players from the now multi-generational broken beat scene: Henry Wu, Dego (2000black) and IG Culture have assembled for an irresistible late summer bruk-samba trip.Brazilian rhythms have always been foundational influences on the broken-beat and future jazz movements, and this EP continues to explore these connections, a running theme throughout Far Out's 23 year history with Seiji, Mark Pritchard, Afronaught, Domu, Da Lata and Jazzanova being just a few of the names to have contributed to this particular avenue of the label's pantheon of dance music. The joyful samba-soul in the title track of Sabrina Malheiros' latest album features the bass and keys of Brazilian Jazz-funk legends Azymuth, and is inspired by the quest for clarity in the face of difficult times, Clareia in Sabrina's own words means to clear, light, brighten or illuminate'. But this remix EP beautifully ruptures the 'clarity' in style, each crafting the breezy Brazilian beats into their own distinct brand of future-thinking club-funk... these beats were made to be broken!
From its inception in the early 1990's, Tech House was, in its simplest form, the combination of Techno & House - at that time two very different scenes.
The heavy, darker, hypnotic grooves of Techno combined
with the slower swing & funk of House Music.
From there, its journey led to a diverse set of interpretations, twisting Progressive House into more experimental waters, adding fuel to San Fransisco's West Coast House scene, Europe's fledgling Minimal scene, alongside soundtracking London town with seminal underground parties, night clubs, record labels and record stores.
Over the last 20 years its growth and dominance within Dance Music is unquestionable, drawing influence from other genres and reinventing its sound many times over.
This compilation lovingly snapshots three timelines documenting the genre, Way Back When, Then and Now. Tracing the roots and showcasing the many artists that helped shape the sound and continue to push the envelope moving forward.
This Is Tech House.
The album includes an arsenal of previously unavailable tracks, that up until now have only existed on hard to find vinyl, remastered from original DATs, vinyl rips and in some instances completely recreated by the original artists. Way Back When showcases the
early roots in the 90s and 00s.
Then journeys through the next 10 years, leaving Now to document fresh tracks alongside notable classics from the last few years.

With Bjoern Torske, Skateboard, Telephones and last not least the Sex Tags label all hailing from Bergen, the City ´s not been exactly short on world leading 'd.i.s.c.o' , but it´s Geir Hermansen aka Velferd that recently cought our ear with his keys. In 'The City that Drowned' it´s unlikely only ever so wet, there´s bliss, sun, warmth, heat - all painted bright with skyrocketing masterful synths over very neat and dry bass. great! Laid back and somehow dreamy the whole thing catches you by the ear and lingers on but then there´s so much dedicated kick and an almost extatic groove in each track - irresistable string hooks made in heaven! 'Never' and 'Through the Valley' add on to where the title song just left and this give the 3 track ep so much perfectly arranged strength... Bergen might well have given birth to another disco standard-bearer.
West Coast based American label Siesta re-release the seminal classic 'Hear Dis Sound' by Hipp-E and Halo or - as they're better known - H-Foundation.

The Erefora Land" is the first solo record by Johan Kaseta, Lehult founding member. It's a nostalgic, hazy affair where the tracks work both on a dancefloor and as the score to an imaginary Super Nin-tendo RPG. Squelching vocal samples ("Hi!") and bubbling synths are reminiscent of the oldschool, synth-laden nineties game soundtracks young Kaseta still can't get enough of. "The Erefora Land" is like coming across the soundtrack to Earthbound after having forgotten to have ever played it - suddenly a rush of sights, sounds and smells from the past come back to you and gently pull you in. Kaseta takes this nostalgia of the forgotten and puts it into his very own context: shuffling hihats, missed drops - a playful version of house music. Swept up to the shores of Erefora land, you're greeted by "Lei Tindissima". A seductive, blistering track on the verge of falling apart yet always staying groovy and pumping. Being somewhat ambient and airy, yet relentlessly moving, "Erefora Steps" is not just a charm to listen to, it is also one hell of a weapon in the club - tested by yours truly intensively. Grooving on a broken, somewhat latin type of bounce, there are several twists and turns between heavenly pads, psycho-vocals and, of course, echoed airhorns. The third cut, "U Timmi", is a laid back Sunday afternoon jam. Despite being light, smooth and grooving, it's layered samples and micro melodies draw you further into the mysterious sound world of Erefora land. Finally, "Me times U" could almost be the theme tune of "Erefora Land", it's blissful chords so close to a conclusion yet always behind a veil of waterfalls, trickling shakers and swooping filters.

Wild Oats is proud to present the latest release from London artist K15.
Whether it's making hypnotic head-nod heaters, or pulsating dance floor grooves, K15's music always radiates soul and promise. He has been in the music scene in London for a while, but is a bit of an unsung hero in our eyes. His skill of mixing genres is unmatched. Pulling from different influences regardless of genre or era is what gives his music its distinct style.

Wild Oats proudly presents a new 7 inch from Kyle Hall entitled 'Eutrophia Sevan'. This project is an ode to the earth and its plant based life forms that give us sustenance, nurturing, and knowledge through its cultivation, observation, and consumption.
Notes & Thoughts
from Kyle Hall:
It is my understanding that all energetic material in which we interact with serves as a software of a kind that is loaded into our systems via our five senses and influence the manner in which we behave and process our realities.
Plants have many ways of interacting with our senses. One form of this sensory interaction with plants is the ingestion of them for the purpose of intoxication. In this form the plant sends information to our neural networks which we interpret as sensation of a shift in our state of mind, body, and spirit. When a plant of this type is in the hands of a creative mind, these shifts in ones perspective can allow for the possibility of the integration of new concepts and ideas that can provide insight in an array of aspects of its consumers life experience. From this unification one now begins to see the connection between things that were once to them seemingly unrelated. These teachings then become motifs that then can be applied to whatever the creative individuals mode of expression is.
Of course we also eat certain plants to provide sustenance, nourishment and satiation. The Sweet Potato root is one of these plants that provide this for us. Having a feeling of being full, nourished, and satisfied gives a stronger capacity to be grounded. Being grounded allows for us to focus and align ourselves with what we must do in order to attract what we personally need in our lives.
Eating a plants fruit, taking its seed and caring for it till it grows into plant itself is a symbolism of the overall connection between all life and all processes that occur with in it. This indicates that plants contain a level of supreme intelligence that can only be tapped into by our communion and honoring of them.

The Maghreban has been making some noise with his latest release on Versatile 'Wonder Woman'. Rather than continuing along that Disco-ish path, he changes tack as he returns to Zoot with 3 tunes influenced by (but not identical to) different times from his teens.
'Now Easy' is informed by those c. '93 dark jungle 12s he knew and loved. The Dark Stranger. Don Bad Man. Presha III. The Capsule EP. The video is a tribute to those and other records. 'Not Good' is an innocent mess about with a Korg M1. 'Hi Top' is reminiscent of Kid 'n Play formation dancing. Outlaw Posse. Caveman.
The Vinyl EP has a full colour reverse board picture sleeve. DJ Support from Call Super, radio play from B Traits, Benji B and Moxie on BBC Radio 1 and Ben UFO on Rinse FM.

Illum Sphere's 2016 album Glass' was a focussed statement from the DJ and producer - a poised reflection on detachment and an assertion of his many talents. Now Glass has been reworked across two fresh 12' releases via Ninja Tune. On the first, original Glass' album track 'Fall Into Water' sees itself packaged up with Machine Woman's remix of 'Paradise', a mighty, mechanical study of the original, the track's original framework pounded from up high and expertly reassembled. Also on the flip, Gavsborg (Equiknoxx) remixes 'The Journey' - urgent and reflective in equal measure, it is an impactful and intricate exploration of the original. Early May will see Mihai Popoviciu return with his second long player in the shape of the
'Home' LP on Bondage music, comprising twelve original compositions from the Romanian artist.
Mihai Popoviciu : "The album's called "home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home."
Romania's Mihai Popoviciu has carved out quite the career over the past decade releasing material through the likes of Highgrade, Hudd Traxx, Poker Flat and Fear of Flying. Here though we see him deliver his second full-length album and return to Bondage Music following a single on the label back in
2013.
Across the project Mihai delivers his signature dance floor focused, stripped back style with records like
'ACK', 'Sandstone Folder' and 'Tentacle Operated' showcasing the hypnotic and percussive style
Popoviciu executes so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions like
'Cannon Poets' and 'Sunshine' while the likes of 'Triumph' and 'Music 999' radiantly display Mihai's proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound.
All in all Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, 'Focus and 'Havana' lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations and an unfaltering structure, while
'Data On Data', 'Paranoia' and 'Hypnosia' tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth pads and chuggy low end tones. Once again Popoviciu has proven himself to be one of Romania's finest electronic music exports.

When we started Heist a few years back, our idea was to give a stage to talent in a same way as we have had a helping hand by the labels that have supported us from the beginning. Therefore, it's our pleasure to share this release with you by newcomers 'Ouer', a Berlin based duo with only a handful of tracks out so far on their self released debut last year. Their approach to producing is very much jam based, and with a compact collection of synths, drum machines and a fair level of distortion, they succeed in creating their own sound with hints of classic electronic music from Chicago and Detroit. There's a nice mix of energy on the whole EP, 'The ascent being the most driving track of the package'. Fans of classics MCDE tracks will love 'Show off' with it's dreamy DX7 style chords and cracking acid lines. 'Move over' feels like a jam session that was way too much fun with some lovely solo work on the synths, whereas 'Mess around' goes down in similar free-ride style on the synths and again, has some lovely sampling going on. An impressive ep we're just all too happy to have on our label. Sincerely yours, Lars & Maarten
