First vinyl from London's Coastal Haze for Tokyo friend Aquarium aka Deepspace

Since its inauguration in 2012, Space Hardware has acted as platform for promising producers and has undergone gradual metamorphosis with each 12' release - a process that has so far included the likes of Glenn Astro, Blacksmif and Placeholder.

Now - in its third year of operation Space Hardware presents a landmark release: the first full length album on the label which comes from young returning producerBakradze. Hailing from Georgia, Bakradze is the other production guise of Gacha.Across each of these aliases he is a producer whose work has touched Apollo, 2nd Drop and his own imprint Transfigured Time. All the while he has remained an artist with a rare and sort-after coupling of instrumental flare and adroit studio skills.

A first for the label is also a first for the artist as this - his 'Restless' LP - is Bakradzefirst offering in LP format. It's across this extended play time that he can comprehensively touch on his range of skills. The result varies from the beatific 'An Evening With John' and 'I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone' to the beautifully mournful 'Dead Places' and 'Heart Asks' whilst all the while remaining rich with texture, melodicism and soul.

In addition, the more stout and propulsive 'Pool' and 'Closure' round proceedings nicely in an album primed for home-listening as well as the soundtracking of many memorable after hours moments.

2015 has been the year that Moon Harbour turned 15, but rather than focus on the past, Matthias Tanzmann's label has continued to serve up fresh future sounds. The next artist to do so is Lewis Boardman, a long time UK talent who has released on a clutch of fine labels in his
time.

Desolat, Play It Down and Souvenir have all served up the club ready sounds of Boardman in recent years. He himself is also closely associated with Circus having been a resident at the legendary Liverpool party for years, and all that DJ booth expense clearly pays off when in the studio because his tracks come complete with all the key ingredients to get people moving.

Boardman's debut Moon Harbour EP opens with 'Stay Together,' a slow burning, deeply delicious track with a hooky vocal riff and grinding bass that really work you into a lather. It is expertly balanced and reserved at the same time as having a big, long lasting impact. The excellent 'Push It Right' is then a grainy, static laced deep house swinger with kicks that rock back and forth and lull you into a subtle, supple groove.

Next great cut 'Aww Shit' then ups the ante with a rickety, train track like percussive line and vast, firmly rooted rubber kicks that really resonate with each hit. Another deft vocal adds a fine hook to the track as you wiggle your behind from start to finish. Last but by no means least, the dreamy 'As Yet' then gets swampy and minimal,with gurgling bass and glistening, knife edge percussion making for a wavy groove that is serenely tripped out and expertly seductive. Again a well treated vocal is the icing on the irresistible cake.

This is a classy and cultured EP that is one of Moon Harbour's deepest and headiest for a while.

A debut release on FINA WHITE from one of the most influential UK acid pioneers, Affie Yusuf.
Hailing from Southampton on the south coast of England, Affie has been producing techno, acid, and house music for over two decades. Launching his career in 1993 on Ferox Records with Russ Gabriel, this was to be the first of many record labels to be run by Affie. He has gone on to grace heavyweight labels such as Force Inc. Music Works, Superstition Records, Inertia as well as founding 909 Perversion, House of 909 and now FINA WHITE.
The lead track, 'Roland Hardware', builds in energy from its intro of dark distorted vocals into trippy, acid fueled masterpiece. With its looping hooks it steadily increases in intensity to a crescendo of the kind of distorted bliss that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. An underground floor filler that harks back to a golden age of acid house.
Taking things a little deeper, 'Shinkantuiisu' beautifully combines infectious funky grooving percussion with a dream esque melody. An elegant track with an enticing refrain and a rhythm that will have feet tapping and get any party started.
'Spirit Acid' rounds off this EP in fine style. This is acid house in its purest form with 909 beats, piano and a driving baseline. A psychedelic journey that is bound to get a great reaction in peak time sets. With this EP it is evident that Affie's passion for acid house is as strong as ever. be presenting you with his Freerange debut. The US artist has had consistent releases dating back to 2004 and has graced the discographies of many a fine label including Uzuri, Earthrumental, Kolour Ltd, his own UnXpozd Entertainment and most recently the hotly tipped UK label Church.
Here on his Daydreeming EP we're treated to four original tracks of real house music produced by a true original of the underground. Kicking off we have Daydreeming with muscular beats laying the foundation for some widescreen orchestral strings and off-kilter and subtly deranged torchsong vocals. Rimbaudian steps up for the remix following what for us, is one of the tracks of 2016; Werka 8 from his Meda Fury release. The
Swedish producer brings a very fresh approach with a loopy and hypnotic techno edge which draws you in with it's repeating vocal and trippy sinewave melodies.
Flipping over we have Basement 2 which drops the tempo slightly for a more heads down Detroit-inspired jam. A simple three note synth repeats throughout while moody pads bring the deep heat resulting in a track that you could get lost in for days. Beacot Road closes the EP in fine style with introspective filtered piano chords providing the magic on this simple, stripped back track, the whole thing sounding somehow blunted like it's being beamed through a thick haze of ganja smoke. For this cheeky 7' release Ken Oath Records have drafted Moontown Records head honcho and field recording specialist Low Flung in for two tracks built around found sound and cloudless Balearic rhythms. On the A-side, Low Flung, who runs the weird and wildly prolific Moontown out of his bedroom, delivers the upbeat 'Coastal Garden', a gentle stepper that forms bell-like synth's around a playful baseline, hand claps and the background chirp of birds. 'Grey Foliage' rounds out the B-side in a more meditative fashion, building itself on looping synthesisers, a calm tambourine and a comforting wide-eyed stare.

Following his sold out EP for Djebali we welcome MR KS for his Tsuba debut with a killer EP of bumping underground house grooves.

Early last year we played at the small but perfectly formed, Oma Doris club in Dortmund. One of the residents that night was a young DJ by the name of Mr Fries, who during the night handed us a CD of demos.Immediately impressed with what we heard, the idea of an EP was formed.
Nearly a year later we are proud to present the newest member of the pack! First up on remix duties is Hodini whose recent EP on Max Graef and Glenn Astro, Money $ex Records has been on constant rotation since its release.Hodini is an alias of prolific German Hip-Hop producer, Hulk Hodn and a major influence on Mr Fries who has sighted he was one of reason he was one of the main reasons he started to make beats.
To round of the EP we've enrolled long-time friend Garth BE. The artist featured previously on WOLFEP003 back in 2009 with All The Thrills. Since then he has setup the fantastic Sweet Sticky Records, releasing two full length LPs to great acclaim.

Made of 14 sketches - each reflecting one of the many shades of the label's catalogue - Five years of Loving Notes features new names as well as those of artists who have been involved with the label since it's very beginning, like Geena or Iueke - responsible for the first 12' released on Antinote.

The music on this compilation covers a wide spectrum of moods and atmospheres, from the dark and raw excursions from Tolouse Low Trax or Iueke to the lush instrumental crafted by Nico Motte and Syracuse's Antoine Kogut; however as the listener gets deeper into the compilation, the whole of the tunes, sitting side by side on the records, start to make sense as they all seem to point towards the same direction. If one should try isolating a common trait from all these songs, one might come to the conclusion that it lies in the way they all speak directly to the listener's emotional receptors, unvarnished and without abusing of producer's 'tricks'.

We'll let the tricky question mentioned before in your hands once you will have been through this 63-minute long testimony of exclusive music by the artists who have been shaping Antinote's sound for five years; from the opening Latvian arabesques from Domenique Dumont to the Pink-Floyd-ian ending from the latest addition to the label, Alek Lee, via Leonardo Martelli's smoggy electro and Raphael Top Secret's ominous talk-over.

By taking care of the maiden release on his newborn label 'Basic Moves' he shows the spiritual direction and marks the blueprint for future offerings.
The concept is simple: a 12' always has two different sides.
One track on each side, each track a different mood.
'Full Of Feeling' resonates like the synthesis of an endless night encoded in washes of sounds. Twisted, alienated vocal signals communicate in deep space to form a teasing, never-ending, spine-tingling groove. The weekend lingers on, the dream is not over.'Among the Thugs' is stripped down music for abandoned warehouses. A distorted vision of bleep techno and druggy Chicago acid house hides deep in the quirky waves of this wobbly and moody crowd mover.The ghosts of after hours haunting sweaty warehouse clubs from the past seem to float over these excellent tracks. Walrus refers to the best of all eras but forges his own unique stamp of modern dance music.

Original Double Vinyl Reissue with a Gatefold Cover and CD in 4-side Digipack Love In A Black Dimension was Jestofunk first album originally released in 1994 and Is still their most successful album ever.
Love in a Black Dimension has surely been a source of inspiration for many artists that cam out later in the international dance scene and more and still today the Tracks contained in the Album are a must in DJ's playlists all over the world. After the excellent worldwide results achieved by the first two singles, I'm Gonna Love You' and 'Say It Again' the formidable production team (Claudio Moz-Art Rispoli, Alessandro 'Blade' Staderini and Francesco Farias) decided to produce their first full Album and thinking about a great singer that could feature and give voice to their songs decided to get in touch with one of the most important House Music vocalist of that period, Mr CeCe Rogers.
The Single that was first released to launch the album was 'Can We Live', sung by Cece, and immediately became a hit in
all the clubs around the world and at the same time establish itself as a classic of the genre. Jestofunk moved in directions unprecedentedly experimented, styles like the fusion between Funk And House Music, contaminated with Acid Jazz, a genre that was going very strong during those in years.
Acid Jazz became very Popular, thanks to artists such as Incognito and Jamiroquai. In the album, besides the three singles mentioned, other big dancefloor tracks featured, like that splendid version of Donny Hathaway's The Ghetto, with Fred Wesley and his magic trombone solo, which is still one of the cult songs of the World-wide Acid Jazz scene.

Nights are coming and going and faces appear and vanish, great plans are made and rarely held up to. While that is the mode that keeps the machine running, from time to time something greater can evolve out this fast paced spare time profession. That is to say, it is a great pleasure to smooth the way for our dear friend »Kleintierschaukel« and his »Blue Elephant«. A rare species whose origins are found in »Motomia« (A1), that odd place where sticky clocks tick faster than time passes. Still all confusion is lost in the calm whispering of Juliette (A2), a harmony of strange confidence. Despite all its apparent harmlessness, it needs the soothing voice of our all beloved Leonie to let its vast figure withdraw to the rivers and show the gentle nature of this »Unterwassermann« (B1). Back in his element all notches are smoothed out and movements unite in a rythmic flow. This is not a documentary, this is the Blue Elephant: »TV Ende« (B2).

After the great debut of VRAC comes Lumieux withs his Eudem Ep.Lumieux is a young talented guy, based in Bucharest. He delivers two original tracks on the A-Side.

1x each customer! Frankfurt's favourite Roman Flu¨gel returns to Phonica Records with the 'Black Acid EP', a four tracker of Flu¨gel's signature black magic.

Roman needs no real introduction. Let's just say this prolific producer has a hugely varied discography stretching back to the early 90s, putting his hand to Techno, House, Acid, Electro, Ambient, Bass music... you name it, he's done it. It goes without saying that Phonica are extremely proud to present a brand new release from one of electronic music's truest talents!

The 'Black Acid EP' began life way back in 2013 as Phonica sourced material for their 'Ten Years Of Phonica' compilation. Roman's hypnotic, restrained percussion jam 'Giant Talking Vegetable' was one of the understated highlights of the release. A few years and countless email discussions later, London's leading independent record shop happily unveil a 12' with four new tracks of pure Flu¨gel black magic.

The ominous 'Too Hot To Sleep' begins proceedings and holds the listener in suspense, never quite giving way before the mood deepens even further with 'Troubled Mind', its tense melodies teasing then finally succumbing to long-awaited release midway through.

On the flip, title track 'Black Acid' continues the record's dark ritual, an off-kilter drum workout over a sea of uneasy pads with a needle sharp synth line eventually piercing through the murk. Finally, the clouds begin to lift for the beautiful and otherworldly chords of 'Work & TV'. Light at the end of the tunnel after all...

4 To The Floor presents Sub-Urban Records documents the output of this true underground champion. Based in New York, Sub-Urban Records was arguably the best and most consistent American garage and vocal house label there was. Co-founded by the mighty Tommy Musto under Northcott Productions, Tommy had his hand in much of the musical output from the label, and in turn this double-pack 12' collection. Documenting Sub-Urban's legacy, the album also features tracks and remixes from artists including Mike Dunn, Sandy Rivera, and Matthias Heilbronn. The spunky 'Free Me' brings together Dennis Ferrer's co-production with a remix by Kerri Chandler, whilst the Basement Boys add their characteristic groove to Next Phase's 'Piece Of Mind'.

4 To The Floor presents Sub-Urban Records is part of the 4 To The Floor series, lovingly selected and compiled by Luke Solomon. 4 To The Floor will also delve into the Movin' Records, Fourth Floor, Faya Combo, Soulfuric and Slip 'n' Slide catalogues, digging for those lightbulb moments of musical discovery. Persian Ahu Karimi is a Berlin resident. He began his musical exploits in a punk band in Tehran but time and space and inertia have distilled his music into a rare spiritual essence, with a delicacy and evanescence like memory. The five tracks here have a gauze like quality. The music is like ether. The opening track Shoone Beh Sar transfixes. It is totally captivating. This is ambient music of the highest quality. Next up is Longing. It is the logical next step after Shoone Beh Sar. It has a shuffling groove so does not initially appear to be an ambient track. A surprise, a wake up, leaving the listener unsettled after the comfort and narcotic beauty of the preceding tracks. Probably just as well. After listening to the preceding tracks, it seems possible that the listener could remain spellbound.

For all of his life Berlin based musician Drei Farben House has been thrilled by the artistic concepts of repetition and modifying resemblances. Small but precise and perceptible variations of (musical) themes have been fascinating him throughout his life as a lover of dance-infused Pop. The artistic concept of handwriting has been questioned in the world of fine arts with some justification, but Michael Siegle aka Drei Farben House has remained a strong advocate of this artistic principle which in his view has resulted in so many impressive musical expressions in the history of Soul and Disco --reference points which have been particularly important to Siegle's creative work. The album's sleeve shows the 'Doris and Norman Fisher House' in Hatboro (a suburb of Philadelphia) designed by Louis I. Kahn from 1960-1967. Kahn, based in Philadelphia and one of the most influential architects of the twentieth century, was already in his sixties and progressively getting famous around this time for his sensitive combination of concrete and brick in larger scales. The almost spiritual sensibility of his buildings and his poetry of light created deep, fundamental connections between the spaces and their inhabitants. New Release Information "Every building must have . . . its own soul", this famous quote of Kahn can easily be seen in the modest and wonderfully warm Fisher house which consits of two intersecting cubic volumes created from cedar wood - finished at the same time when only twenty miles away the newly founded Sigma Sound Studio recorded the Delfonics first record, installing the basements of Philadelphia Soul which was later leading to Phillysound, Disco and House.

'In Spaces', composed by the Brussels based producer Haring, talks about what is living between several spaces and places, the feeling of having several homes and the ability to appropriate these spaces. Haring has indeed composed this album between Brussels, Paris and Istanbul. The encounters, the anchoring and the discovery of these cities come together in these ten titles which are each in their own way an ode to these cultures which opened new musical perspectives for him."

The name MONDO has its roots in 'MONDO MOVIES", an Italian movie genre born in the 60's. Mondo movies are characterized by documentary-like content that addresses several topics from around the world ("mondo"). Edizioni Mondo label has the goal to produce music that is descriptive of concepts, images and environments. Edizioni Mondo is inspired by library music, a genre frequently used as theme or background music in radio, film and television in that very same period. Numero 7 by the trusted in-house band Odeon pushed all the typical and beloved Mondo buttons. Accompanied by version from Roman ambient hitmaker Panoram (see his album on Firecracker for further reference) and label boss L.U.C.A. with one of his quirky dance mixes and the usual great artwork, this deserves a good place on every Balearic bookshelf.
