On the 4th single from his highly acclaimed 4th LP 'After Forever", Kasper Bjørke puts his disco noir anthem 'Apart' into the safe hands of two luminary remixing talents. The original version of 'Apart' (which is to be found on the digital single release and the album) was selected as 'Tune of The Month' in MixMag in the September issue, stating: 'Its nothing short of genius... Kasper absolutely nailed it". And now, on the digital and limited edition 12 vinyl (with beautiful artwork by american artist John Copeland), you will find two epic remixes by Kompakt Records' head honcho Michael Mayer and renowned UK producer, Ewan Pearson (Jagwar Ma, The Rapture, etc.) Michael Mayer gives the tune's melancholy synth pop an epic feel, remaking it for the deepest and darkest of big room dancefloors, adding a discombobulating synth drone and ramping up the intensity levels. Ewan Pearson's remix adds a High NRG vibe to expose the yearning vocal before adding layers of arpeggios and synthesizers to an utterly irresistible, motorik pulse with some epic breakdowns. Both remixes skilfully navigate a line between the pop and dancefloor sensibilities of the original track, respecting the integrity of the bittersweet, emotional vocals of the Icelandic girlgroup Sísy Ey. After the release of the three singles 'Rush", 'Sylvia' and 'TNR", this package rounds off a quartet of singles, that confirms Bjørke's outstanding talent for sensitively combining influences of post disco and 80s synth pop in new and consistently invigorating ways. Drewsky strikes again! Coming straight outta 1994 "Phase II" is still slaying the dance-floor today in 2016! This one is big!
It's more of that hard, raw Dance Mania style, no frills at all. Drewsky cutting up some Disco and flipping a well known Muzic Box classic kicks off the EP, "U can't see me" is straight fire - Ron Hardy would definitely approve. Across the rest of the EP Drew kicks out some heavy jams ranging from tripped out organ ghetto house bangers to gritty SP1200 hip hop beats. Overall the whole record is pure heat, and has long been in demand among house heads and collectors often fetching top dollar prices on the second hand market. This is the first time "Phase II" has ever been reissued in full, just as it was originally released in 1994, complete with original Dance Mania label artwork. 100% legit, reissued in conjunction with Dance Mania records, Chicago IL and Parris Mitchell - "4 U ALL".

Eats Everything makes his much-anticipated Edible label debut with the 'Girl Powder' EP, his first release since January of this year, and the first to land on his own imprint. Comprising two new tracks, 'Rita's E' and 'Veronica Electronica', the release will drop at the end of October on 10' vinyl and digital download.
2016 has already been a huge ride for the Bristolian DJ & producer extraordinaire; along with huge club cuts 'The Duster' (featuring Green Velvet) and 'Big Discs', remixes for Disclosure and Green Velvet (taking the classic 'Flash' track to dizzying new heights), Eats mixed the 86th edition of Fabric's fabled compilation series back in February.
And as the Edible label edges towards its first anniversary, a slew of highly well received releases from the likes of Rhythm Masters, Jesse Perez, Lauren Lane, Lord Leopard and Brett Johnson, have established the imprint as a consistent force for quality house music.
With its infectious bassline, dubbed out keys and vocal call to arms, 'Rita's E' find Eats on top form, carving out an energetic and funky club cut, whilst 'Veronica Electronica' gets deep, down and twisted with its duetting vocal delivery, hard hitting drums and rave-esque sirens.

We talked a ton about LPH co-owner and -founder Jacques Renault's debut LP, Zentrum, so let's keep things brief and cut to the chase for Off Zentrum, the first remix EP to be spun off from that record.
Four remixes, all by LPH family members, all burners. First one's by Borrowed Identity, second one's by Nicholas, third on's by Massimiliano Pagliara, fourth one's by Max McFerren. How multicultural! That's two continents and four countries represented! Hot dog!

Since the beginning we can see an evolution in Jose Rico ´s music. His sound is now more powerful than ever and the structure of his tracks have gained in complexity. The rhythms of his tracks, highly influenced by Chicago House and Detroit in his earlier releases, now are looking at the European 90 ´s electro´nica and dub music, slowing down (even more) the tempo.

We can say that the his last releases on Into the the Deep and Off Minor are probably his best works and most mature, so far.

De´ja` Vu', the 11th Downbeat installment, continues to explore this route. Here we find four emotional and spacey tracks, made by old synths and samplers which takes us back to the early 90 ´s.

Good things come to those who wait. The long-anticipated Land of Light debut, a masterpiece of an album and pillar of the ESP Institute, was unveiled in late 2012, slowly followed by the gorgeous Remixed - II. Since then, many have longed for the missing first half of this two-part package... the Universe is kind and has finally delivered Remixed - I. On side A, Kuniyuki Takahashi (mastering engineer behind seminal ESP releases, and legend in his own right) took the bull by the horns remixing Flares—a piece of music so entrenched in melancholy, with such fluid performance and production, its hard to imagine anyone taking it deeper—he has unarguably triumphed. On side B, ESP Institute veterans Tambien rose to the same challenge with Flares, the Bavarians taking a refreshing uptempo approach, a contrast to the swells of guitar and synth. Closing the release is the Seahawks' blissful re-imagination of Bell Rock Outpost, slowly and steadily setting sail into a dusky vision of the Scottish lighthouse after which the song was named.

Previously one half of 'The Advent', Colin McBean aka Mr. G is legendary in the underground scene. Having been in the game for more than 25 years, Mr. G has gained a cult following through his passionate dedication to making music and his powerful live energy. He's a DJ that takes his craft very seriously and feels every beat even more so than his adoring crowds.
'Precious Cargo' is a perfect example of Mr. G's elated, pounding, deep house style, a club track refined from years of playing live and responding to his crowds. The 'Vocal Mix' features punchy, spirited vocals to complete that traditional Mr G style which manages to combine a soulful feel with a gritty, deep bassline. With sassy vocals from blondewearingblack and Mr G's signature uncompromisingly pumping beat, 'Precious Cargo' is backed with exlcusive vinyl only dubs and a remix from KZR.

Next up on XVI Records, we welcome back South London based producer Munro for his second release. Having recently participated in the Brownswood Future Bubblers project, he brings his signature heavily percussive flavour to these two perfectly crafted tracks.
First track 'Miss Your Love' is a shuffling, soulful, groove laden voyage - it's sliding synths and wandering bass line provide a solid backdrop foe it's iconic vocal - ideal for those late night dance floor moments.
On the flip, 'Environments Ten' embarks on a deeper, more atmospheric journey. It's scattered, layered drums patterns join together in a thick wall of rhythm, setting the scene for uplifting joyous melodies to slowly elevate above, reverberating around the outer realms of expansive production.

Still riding high off the success of their last album but never ones to sit still, titanic techno duo Octave One are back with a hot new single. Featuring their long time collaborator Ann Saunderson on vocals and coming with three different mixes, 'Just Don't Speak' it is sure to be a summer anthem.
Detroit's Octave One are one of the most revered and hard working live acts in all of dance music, and have been since the late eighties. As well as being devoted to cooking up scintillating shows on the fly, they also keep busy in the studio, serving up the sort of high grade and impactful records that keep DJs and dancers happy. 'Just Don't Speak' has already received repeated support from Pete Tong on Radio 1, who played the world exclusive on his show, so is a truly bonafide bomb.
The track features their long time collaborator (British singer/songwriter), Ann Saunderson who also collaborated with Octave One on their massive dance anthem 'Blackwater' (released in 2002) and has worked with a list of who's who, in the dance music arena.
Also featured on 'Just Don't Speak' are the Urban Soul Orchestra (USO) who also collaborated on'Blackwater', adding a unique twist to the track with their contemporary string ensemble. As a versatile string ensemble, USO have worked at the top of the UK music industry for 20 year, specialising in recording sessions for top artists, major corporate events and exclusive private parties. Violinist, conductor, orchestrator and arranger Stephen Hussey founded the USO, arranging and recording strings for pop artists.
Oasis invited USO to perform at their second album launch for (What's The Story) Morning Glory with an offer to play at Mariah Carey's Christmas party following shortly after. Since then USO have been delighting audiences at exclusive events all around the world and have worked with artists such as; Mick Jagger, Madonna Kylie Grace Jones, Jay Z, Groove Armada, Nitin Sawhney and many more.
'Just Don't Speak' is a barrelling house cut with subtle but joyous piano chords rolling above fat bass. Ann's vocals are typically elastic and emotive and love fuelled. They soar as the pressure below builds and are sure to leave crowds in raptures. An instrumental version places even more focus on the uplifting and driving groove, and a dub version strips things back to the infectious percussion and bold drum lines, making for a more macho and physical cut.
A radio edit is also included in the package and ensures that all bases are covered in great style by the ever essential Burden brothers.

Lidl Girl feat. Arno Joey' is the sensational third single to be taken from Popof's huge hitting album 'Love Somebody' released on Hot Creations last year. This mammoth package comes with remixes from industry heavyweights Kerri Chandler, Magda, Carl Cox and Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo.
House music legend Kerri Chandler has produced a prolific body of work since his first release in 1991. He serves a classic slice of house music with intricate percussion and solid groove, while Magda offers a stellar version where quirky beats and spacey stabs are the serve of the day.
Carl Cox is a true veteran in the industry at the top of his game with a worldwide radio show and immensely successful residency at Space in Ibiza. Masterfully he spins the original into a rolling techno beast for those peak time hours.
Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo delve deeper for their remix with penetrating atmosphere flowing across a punchy groove. The pair released their first collaboration on Visionquest last year and have since been working in the studio together on various forthcoming projects.

The fifth release from the highly collectable Lost in Time label looks like being the biggest one on the imprint since the 'The Moment'.

Already championed all summer by Seth Troxler the lead track is a 10 minute long chase through a huge storm. Recorded dub style live and direct in the studio by Ralph Lawson with authentic 1970s Master Room Spring reverb, Eventide delays and high quality field recordings the track takes you on a trip through the eye of the storm.

The beats remain deep, delayed and scattered throughout with a couple of killer drops. The aim is to totally freak people out on the dance floor and it certainly does just that, standing out from rest and sounding huge on big systems. Also included are the beats only and the Storm FX synced perfectly at 123 BPM for DJ use.

Support for the track over summer has been superb with Jamie Jones, Laurent Garnier, DJ Harvey, Axel Boman, Dungeon Meat, D'Julz and Cassy all enjoying their ride through the storm.

Globally admired DJ and producer Riva Starr is back on Hot Creations and fired up to send dancefloors wayward with 'Dippin' Side.' This time he calls on techno don Joseph Capriati to remix plus teams up with rising producers Haiku 575.

Title track 'Dippin' Side' is an ultimate club banger, while Capriati's remix skillfully strips back into a deep end roller. 'Owls and Toucans' brings the collaboration with Haiku 575, playing with trippy synths over heavy percussions.

Snatch! Records boss Riva Starr has released on the most esteemed underground labels, from Dirtybird, Saved and Hot Creations to his forthcoming album 'Definition Of Sound' on Cajual Records. His famed 'Rechunk' re-edits have given his fail safe touch to names like Daft Punk and London Grammar. Making this cross-pollination seem so effortless has won a team of supporters from Gilles Peterson to David Squillace, Adam Beyer to Pete Tong.

Joseph Capriati is recognized as one of the principal profiles in techno. From his 'Self Portrait' album on Drumcode in 2013 to his Music On residency at Amnesia for Marco Carola he has become one of the most in demand names in the business. Haiku 575 is a duo composed of M_Abbatangelo (manager and co-owner with Davide Squillace of This And That Lab) and Cipy (a veteran producer and long-time member of the Get Physical and Kinsdisch family), who after more than a decade of friendship decided to go into the studio together. The duo and Riva are thrilled with the release and planning more collaborations together in the future.

Under the radar UK house veteran Sir Lord Commix has dusted off some DATs to provide a mix of old and new material on For Those That Knoe.First on the EP is New World, a rumbling deep house groover with twisted chants, gutsy bass and sparkly atmospherics Originally released on Justin David's label Future Monument, Danceteria goes back to chi town basics with stripped jacking rhythms. Dance Upon The Celing is a New York cum Spencer Kincy styled workout with loose swinging snare rolls and a seriously catchy set of stabs. Physical Oceans rounds off the EP showcasing the range of production stlyistics and experimentalism of the man behind the dials.

The Revenge has quickly reached dizzying heights in recent years, conquering a style that escapes labeling and crowned the king of the edit.

In the month June of 2011, Karton saw it's gaily arise and nestled itself in the prism of deep electronic music people nowadays know as Deep House, Tech House and other minimalistic still unknown sub-genres. Determined to do it right instead of wrong, the label has pursued their hunch in the on going quest of being a cool, fresh new imprint. This quest has made a path for Karton, which has made them hatch music for certain styles of nightlife.

Karton comes with their first vinyl record ever! An EP by various artists such as Scott Kemp, Randall M, Fernando Costantini & Alexandar Kyosev and Chad Andrew. All upcoming guys, and for this release they delivered.

Scott is hitting it off with his super sweet track 'Oh Yea' and Randall M keeps it going with his 'Duval', a straight groover. Then to keep things banging F. Costantini and A. Kyosev made something special. The track is called 'Delimited' and is been rocking dancefloors all summer already. To close it off, Chad Andrew made a dark one that really slams it at the end of the night.

Second stop, A deep beauty from Aleexe and Pepe. On the other side, the master S. Moreira delights us with one of his gems, no more words need to be said. Last but not least, the much talented guys from Formas with a very personal groove.

A leading figure of the contemporary electronic world, Jamie Odell aka Jimpster sets his sights firmly back on the album format with this beautifully crafted long-player; Silent Stars. A self-confessed creature of the night, the Freerange Records and Delusions Of Grandeur boss taps into his nocturnal and escapist impulses to deliver a superbly executed modern-day fusion album.
His seventh studio album and first since 2013's highly-acclaimed Porchlight And Rocking Chairs, this is an album dedicated to the nocturnal hours. Silent Stars is a richly textured ride through the tapestry of house, from jazz-infused opener 'Migrations' through to the dense, orchestral euphoria of 'Tau Tona' and the minimal, percussive bounce of title track 'Silent Stars'. The listener edges a touch closer to the dancefloor on tracks like 'Yansa' and 'Power of the Doof' - yet the grooves stay subtle with intricate percussion, dense sound design and a mischievous streak being palpable throughout.
A range of guests are welcomed by Jimpster across Silent Stars. Hotly-tipped Londoner Florence Rawlings adds her vocals on 'Crave' and 'Everytime'. Past collaborator and member of Kirk Degiorgio's The Beauty Room, Jinadu weaves emotional soul on album centerpiece 'The Sun Comes Up'. Khalil Anthony lends his vocals on 'Where You Are' and leading session drummer Andy Gangadeen (Massive Attack, Chase & Status, The Bays) lays down his immense beats on 'Tau Tona'.
Jimpster is a true veteran of the global house scene, a custodian of the authentic deep house sound and a producer who has quietly created some of the most reflective and sophisticated electronic music of the past two decades. 20 years on from his album debut, Jamie Odell continues to impress.

Sascha Ciminiera is a familiar face from Footjob, member of the label's own Supergroup 'Pallaspeople' and also famous for his tasty Bolognese sauce. With 'Lights' he created a dreamy balearic tune that found its way into Gerd Janson's Groove Podcast. As a consequence, Janson and his partner in crime Phillip Lauer AKA Tuff City Kids played around with the 808 and turned it to a great dancefloor version. The fourth release on Spazio Records is indeed a very special one. It's the first release from Behrang Mohammadi: who also is one of the label bosses. Coming from the punk/noise scene playing in various bands, he found his true calling in the underground electronic community of southern Sweden.

It pays to see between the lines This track first caught our attention in the series of yen parties we did last year across Europe, and every time this tune got the ID treatment. Perth, capital of Western Australia, sits where the Swan River meets the southwest coast. Sandy beaches line its suburbs giving purpose to hot summer days, but after sundown, the city is where it's at... if you know where to look. It's possible that this double-life is what inspired the deep, melodic, futuristic sounds of one of Australia's most mysterious electronic dance music labels of the 90's - Red Ember Records.
Helmed by Ewan Jansen and along with Justin Zerbst (with contributions from Steb Sly and Andrew Carpenter) this micro label powered through the latter half of the 1990's with a slew of back-room productions; barely existent releases that were mainly pressed onto poly-plastic discs and hand distributed at a handful of near mythical live performances and local record spots in their hometown. Suffice to say it's the unique quality of the music contained on these lathes (chiefly produced by Jansen and Zerbst) and the sheer rarity of the physical items that has driven Red Ember firmly into the minds of vinyl fiends the globe over.
Deep. That is one word that can be safely used when discussing the sonic bounty contained on a Red Ember record. Ewan Jansen's loose, harmonic style sits perfectly next to Justin Zerbst's faster paced, frenetic Techno sounds. The two's styles complimenting each other perfectly. The two producers have their very own unique vision of what House and Techno are and "Embers Only: Selected tracks 1997 - 1999" offers an overview of a selection of very carefully curated tracks taken from a handful of their early EP's and lathes. Never reissued before and almost exclusively out of print for the most part, these tracks have been some of the most closely guarded pieces of electronic music going around. Full access was granted to the Red Ember vault and working in conjunction with Jansen and Zerbst this phenomenal compilation was brought to life.

This spring time, Geneva's based artists LuLúxpo will launch their own record label, Paradise Children Records; the first EP 'Dirty
House' co-produced by the label Argent Sale will be released backed with a remix from fellow Bauchamp.Paradise Children Records is the latest project of LuLúxpo, also know as Loulou (Buenos Aires) and Pollux (Paris). The record labelwill release their own productions and that of friends around them. The first release is a co-production with the label Argent Sale, an electronic music audiovisual label founded by Schnautzi in 2010, based both in Geneva and Lyon. LuLúxpo and Schnautzi met a long time ago and became close friends over the years. Releasing 'Dirty House' together came to them very naturally, especially as the limitless producer Bauchamp - great figure of the label Argent Sale - made a dope remix of it. LuLúxpo have shared their DJ sets across Switzerland and the world since more than eighteen years. They've released a couple of EPs On Pro-Zak Trax, Mental Groove, Poor Records and Parissi La Musique before starting their own record label. They decided to share Music without depending on anybody else, free of any strings attached: Paradise Children Records will become your own musical paradise. The release kicks off with the original mix of 'Dirty House', a real tribute to House music of the 90s with electronic crazy percussions and a dirty strong bass. The track is faithful to LuLúxpo's music style: make people dance vs a sexy and bewitching groove. Bauchamp's remix lasts 7 minutes and is a subtle melting pot of different music genres, which describe according to him what Dirty House' music is all about.
