Following his uplifting 2015 single Holdin On and its techy B-side Faces, Rony Seikaly is back for another release on Yoshitoshi that proves this renaissance man is a force to be reckoned with in modern house music. The two tracks on this EP possess deep grooves, but also flex a fair amount of melodic muscle. They liken back to the sound Yoshitoshi became well known for in its infancy. The Sword centers around some tribal percussion and carefully woven melodic ideas, but the tracks focus is decidedly on low end. A burly, assertive bass gives the mix a driving character suited for late nights. At time it feels like a modern take on progressive house from another era. All Of A Sudden is more or less an extension of the first track, giving the EP defined consistency. It's a delicately arranged and straightforward house feeler; the meat coming from a multitude of interlaced chords and melodies maneuvering carefully over more tribal percussion and a monstrous kick. The mission here is to inspire awe and wonder in dancers, and Seikaly delivers on both accounts......

Stiff Little Spinners enters its 6th volume with a 5 track package spanning the widest sonic spectrum imaginable. Its tracks, in typical Spinners fashion, range from r&b influenced house grooves to shimmering, broken-beat, new-age garage swing. Gimmix & Zorro prove their penchant for urban slow jams with a dance floor flavour. Their opener Oveile builds in a slow, sleazy fashion, eventually trading its more unpredictable drum arrangement for a sturdy 4/4 rhythm. The melody surges harmoniously, navigating the walls of its club-ready time signature, a phenomenal introduction to a mind-blowing collection of tracks. Rampue slows things down on the A2 with Schleiermacherstrasse; a tripped-out, hazy roller with enough chime to hypnotise an entire stadium. This is not to say Volume 6 contains big room tracks, but rather the music's power commands attention. This is certainly true for Kalipo's Mäusemarsch, which whirls, in mesmerizing fashion achieving a climax fit for the party at its peak. Krink's Close Distance is perhaps the darkest sounding track offered by the Spinners - it seriousness and condensed energy is bound to leave audiences sweating, until its ferocious bassline gives way to soaring synths and jarred drums. Joney changes the formula altogether - his sophisticated K-Hole Surfers offers a chugging, dubbed out roller which owes as much to techno as it does to dubstep. It is perhaps unsurprising from the track's title that one feels like they are riding a rather erratic wave, delving in and out of our universe. Already on their 6th volume, and churning out high-quality, club-ready tracks, this collective is set for big things.

First release from a new electronic label based in Warsaw. Funded by Rafal Grobel - DJ and promoter behind S1 Warsaw records and a host of Boiler Room events in Poland. Grobel encouraged legendary Polish hip-hop label and urban wear brand Prosto to join forces to promote local artists worldwide with their combined experience and taste. In direct translation "most" means "bridge" in Polish but also stands for Music Of Stories Told.

The Beginning compilation brings together artists from various genres. Album includes solo tracks from recognizable Polish producers like Eltron John, SLG, The Phantom aka ex-Ptaki, Klaves, Hatti Vatti and Matat Professionals among others. Two tracks that come out on album sampler 12" are spontanious collabos between Eltron John & SLG as Seltron 400 and The Phantom & Newborn Jr. aka Matat Professionals. The first duo has three EPs scheduled under the alias and the second just released an EP on Rhythm Section as Earth Trax & Newborn Jr.

The artists were invited for a session in a house in the woods which has been transformed into a temporary studio to share common vibe in music for the album. Prolific photo material from the event was included in the cover. Album comes out on vinyl as 12" sampler and 2LP gatefold, on CD in regular and limited packaging and in digital format.

On SA014 Xhin and Perc explore the savage side of the dance floor with four punishing tracks. The EP is sliced open by 'She's The Disease'. Xhin's A1 is saturated with details: strange metallic scrapes, squelching pads and beats that constantly push to the surface. A2 'Blinding Truth' is a master class in dense, industrial textures. The track swoons and swoops in and out of focus revealing Xhin at his shadowy finest. On the flip side of the wax Perc's 'Forge' is built around no-nonsense broken beats and layered with eerie, granulated sounds. The key to 'Forge' is counterbalance, Perc volleys sounds off one another, shifting the atmosphere between strictly industrial and sharply glacial reference points. The EP is closed as darkly as it began with 'Kater'. Atop stabbing beats Perc stacks strange reed tones, wisps of a conversation held far in the distance and split second samples that could have been prised from an opera. 'Kater' is a production that is brilliantly constructed: these sounds shouldn't necessarily work together, but their combination is brutally good. SA014 showcases two of Stroboscopic Artefacts' core artists using experimental sound design to fortify productions that are more that capable of destroying the dance floor. The Mexican multi-genre record label CVMR returns in its wax infused form with its sophomore vinyl-only release following the sold out, Larry Heard remixed, Tijuana-made phenomena 'Lip Reading' by Soul of Hex with a newcomer artist. Fedde, hailing from the strictly-vinyl/house-head-friendly dance floors of Mexico City and currently living in Berlin, presents his debut record on the label, with his extended play format entitled _Supermoon EP_ accompanied by two remixes of the Konotop-ian genius of Ukraine's hardware experimentalist Vakula.
The EP kicks off with the space journey of digital M1 chords and feel good lead lines of the original mix _Supermoon_. Here, Fedde
portrays the simplicity of blending catchy 80s power-synth melodies with muffled disco-tinted basslines on top of a bed of raw drum machine debauchery. This track serves as an adequate and exhilerating opening for the rest of the release. The package is then followed by _Pad_, which at first glance seems like a more atmospheric and dubbed-out version of _Supermoon_, sharing the same lead line aesthetics, yet provides a more emotional twist through its complex harmony narrative driven by the protagonist element suggested by its title: dreamy, shimmering, and nostalgia-inducing pad work.Vakula steps in right after with his own interpretation of _Pad, _a remix which could be considered more of a cover or re-make of Fedde's star exploration journey. Dubby, texture-frenzied soundscapes, and reverberated percussions/arpeggios can be appreciated throughout the 8:00 + minute: a definite twist to the dance-floor oriented vibe created by the first two original mixes. The release is concluded with a revisitation to the classic forms of house music, a composition of diva-like vocals, digital pianos, 80s boogie style slap claps, and Moog-y baseline stabs: a definite afterparty floor knocker.

On A side : 'I'm Tha D.J.', released in 1995 on Kumba Records + Under Tha Sun', released in 1995 on Downtown 161.On B side : Modal (Woody McBride & David Stevens) 'Lovers' remixed by Roy Davis Jr. & Dj Skull. A massive, rare, and very demand, track, previously released in 1996 on Sounds (subdivision of Communiqué). Our favorite secret weapons, a real masterpiece of deep - tech Chicago sounds. Enjoy !

With the shortly arriving compilation Continue, the still young label Ourselves is already entering the second round. After their kick-off had already unmistakeably proven likewise, also their following release prides itself with multifarious house music.
The entry into this musical journey is given by a collaboration between the two Leipzig producers Ranko and Lootbeg. In their work, classical drums are meeting warm house chords, accompanied by a driving acid line and riddled with catchy soul vocals, which, parcelled into modern breaks, will most certainly set more than one hip swinging. A clear case of girl voucher.
The second track of the release is contributed by Berlin artist Perel. In usual fashion, clearly harder drums meet a driving and floating groove here, which has without a doubt been produced for dancefloor usage. Adding the massive bassline and the unmistakeably demanding vocal, we end up having a massive tune with raw warehouse character. I want my money back!
The opening of the flipside comes from our good friend Braunbeck. Holy, a hypnotically-tinted tune dominated by percussion convinces with his irresistible urge forward and his ever catchy groove, which truly never seems to lose its dynamism. A true monster.
The perfect finishing touch is added by Filburt personally. The chief of motherlabel O*RS surprises with a track full of cosy atmosphere and spacy vocals. Carried by a multitude of synthie sounds, this tune sure is the perfect choice for every set and afterhour. Always towards the rising sun!

Limited and remastered reissue of two long player, dub influenced monsters by C-Rock under his Dubstar alias. Kicks, hats, bass and delay-lay-lay-lay-lay. No more words needed.

Newborn Munich based label Slam City Jams comes around the corner with its first release from young gun Gonima straight outta Montreal, Canada. His Grids EP An exciting mixture of swinging distorted drums, catchy melodies and hazy atmospheres. You can definitely spot Gonima's passion for DX7 adventures, analog drums and tape hiss right here. Opener "Grids" starts off with lush synth blips, 707 drums and a bassline Bootsy Collins would give high-fives for. "Subdivided" is one of these tracks that shows you that it doesn't need more than a few elements to get you going: A rough kick drum, cowbells and a smooth pad that gets slapped by just one bass note. The last original on B2 is the ambient-like "Organ Tutorials", which shifts your mind directly to outer space. And as if all this wasn't enough, someone really special did a great remix job - Khotin from 1080p fame, who gave the A2 cut a treat with his unique trademark sound. Four house and ambient tracks both for the floor and the couch. Or as Gonima puts it: "An EP that has the sound of visiting home in the winter and rediscovering environments frequented in the past, birthing previously obscured memories. The sounds within are a ritual dance to stay warm through the procession of the seasons"

Attributed with fueling Music Is Love's recent rich rein of form is Jamie Trench, who himself continues along a flourishing 2013 after a set of very impressive releases on his own imprint Roots For Bloom as well Tsuba Limited. Jamie's various musical loves- hip-hop, house and dusty boogie records- are manifest throughout his productions, a formula that evokes creatively crafted tracks to reflect the most prominent of his inspirations. His latest offering results in an EP that not only shows Jamie artist's signature for sophisticated and unmistakable house textures, but also highlights the significance and consistency of MIL.
Discerning hi-hats and handclaps pave out in Back Chat as floaty chimes are sprinkled around the build-up of the track. Things progress measurably with a pumping bassline that gets pulled sharply into focus, and with it seeps into cascading warped stabs swinging off over tight rhythms creating a solid groove augmented with subtle ticks and flicks.
Next; a perfectly weighted house roller. Something Sexy, evidence of just how well Jamie Trench knows how to programme a bassline. Flawless percussive rhythms, cresting grooves and tight drums flail beneath a rolling bassline, captivating vocal samples and thickly patterned pads that epitomize Jamie's fine house-grooving style.
Framed within a tougher context MIL debuted Adam Chappel maintains the essence of the original (Back Chat), as bass kicks play out over analogous twinkles and snapping snare drums, while vocal dashes and a rolling bassline add refinement to a robust heavy-style beat thats sure to go down with DJs and on dance-floors.
Closing proceedins is Autumn, led by an undulating bassline constructing imperishable movement and groove from supple hi-hats and warm keys adding a touch of melodic finesse. Skipping head-boppingly along the hypnotic beat builds in depth with the parts interspersed by sensual French female vocals dipping in and out to give a fresh closing track.
Back Chat's overall up-front, stripped-back house aesthetic falls synonymous with Music Is Love's ethos for creating truly contemporary pieces of engaging yet dance-floor inspired music. This release extends and cements Jamie as a reliable purveyor of groove-heavy house music, and though he's only been putting out records for a few years, he's already racked up a number of high-grade releases. Another potent exploration of house sounds from the Music Is Love crew.

French artist Kool Vibe is back on his own Paris-based label KV Records with a new 4 track EP. True to the mission assigned to the label, this release brings us back to the early 90s through basics sounds and elements which have defined deep house since then : fat syncopated rhythms, heavy and groovy basslines, warm chopped vocals. They fly high, both in their own manner. RAINY MONDAY is dubbed out in space with that "jungle screw" feel. Slowed down breaks that are all the rage with the yoof, apparently but LIPELIS takes it to another level. Last floor his version of DARKNESS IN THE MIDDLE is a trickster, you'd think almost ambient kraut before you end up on an italo-piano-expansives beach.

The first release from Naissance Musik (NM) is a 12' vinyl from the super-group Dream Scoring (HEAR and Hakim Murphy) entitled Images of a Myth. It is comprised of 4 tracks. A myth is a legendary story that a community validates to explain part of its reality. However any member or group within the community can have his or her own version of the myth, and the myth can also evolve through time. We may all listen to the same track but this track still calls up intimate images for each and every one of us. A myth is full of adventure and mystery, it is epic and full of emotions. It can be anything from the Lost Ark to Greek Gods fighting. The aim is to fill our bodies and minds with emotions. The main idea is to tell stories like books or movies, but through musical notes & rhythm. The music makers provide the musical image, the listeners create the myth. And vice-versa.

Hailing from Belgium comes Hylas with a collection of dancefloor-oriented and heavy nineties-laced electronics. No stranger to the world of recorded electronic music Hylas wishes to keep proceedings anonymous for now.

During its 13 years of existence around the globe, CDR (Create, Define, Release) has been many things. It's been a night instrumental in the development of some of dance musics finest such as Floating Points, Maya Jane Coles, Funkineven, Fatima and SBTRKT; as well as a label which released music from the likes of Tom Trago, Daisuke Tanabe, Mr. Beatnick and Steve Spacek. Most importantly, it has acted as a safe space for producers, beat makers, singers, songwriters and artists to hone their craft and meet other like-minded individuals. This year marks CDRs first foray into releasing vinyl since 2006. To celebrate this occasion, CDR has teamed up with friends and partners Dimensions Festival to release a record that is truly unique - the foundation of these tracks are field recordings, gathered all across the world by festival attendees (in a project called Local Audio). The Dimension Sounds tracks feature the talents of CDR mainstays K15 and FYI Chris, while also shining the light on a couple of newcomers Ben Houghton from Melbourne and Lismore from London. The result of this release is a collaboration of sorts from people all around the world whom have never met - which seamlessly fit into one compilation.

With the original pressing of the 2013 release long gone but still in great demand, Ornate is thrilled to revisit Leif's Each Day Made New EP and give it a lavish new repress on violet coloured vinyl. When the record originally dropped it received support from artists as well-respected as Larry Heard, Soul Capsule, Jane Fitz and Rhythm Plate, and continues to be spun regularly to this day. Since then Leif has been on an incredibly productive run, releasing his debut album Dinas Oleu on Fear Of Flying as well as singles on Sudden Drop and Idle Hands. UntilMyHeartStops, the label he runs with Joe Ellis, has continued to build in notoriety with celebrated releases from Steevio, Arnaldo and Duckett, while Leif himself is preparing to release his much-anticipated second LP through the imprint soon. It's the perfect time to be reminded of a true gem from the London-based artist's back catalogue, from the warm, ear-snagging chords of "Circumstance 4" to the low slung downtempo funk of the title track, and give a few more eager heads the chance to grab a copy.

Marcel Vogel is back with this 8tracker including remixes by label mates Reginald Omas Mamode IV and Dear Earth. Lowslung grooves for an evening in front of the fireplace with your lady (or man), this EP was created in an collaborative effort by Berlin Singer Khadija, Keyboardist Tim Jules, Guitarist Jair Wix and written and produced by Marcel Vogel. Outstanding tracks are the sleazy Moonchild and the title track Human Being.

Padre Himalaya second release counts with 5 tracks from the Portuguese artist Silvestre. This EP describes how sports help Silvestre's life. He likes to run and he produced a few tracks where he goes back in time when he was doing Bodyboard while living in Portugal.

Production duo Mark Richards & James Eliot aka Solardo are the next to make their mark on Hot Creations with 'Tribesmen', delivering two heavy-duty cuts destined to stir serious heat in the club. Already doing the rounds worldwide at the hands of some of the biggest names in the business, 'Tribesmen' and 'Psycho Girlfriend' are built straight for the dancefloor around dense and heavy basslines, punchy percussion and prominent vocal slices.
Hailing from Manchester, Solardo are continuing the city's rich heritage in house music whilst carving out their own sound in the house and techno scene with releases on Madtech, MTA Records and more recently Of Unsound Mind. Their string of successful releases has gained them an army of fans across the board from Jamie Jones to Jackmaster. The pair also run a weekly radio show on Rinse FM and are residents of the well known Kaluki party as well as running their own successful event series, Solardo Sessions.

Vinyl Only EP! No.4 on Taverna Tracks comes from NYC's own Alix Alvarez delivering four boogie down house cuts!

Ben La Desh drops his follow up to the very successful 'Midnight Rendez-Vous EP' from 2012. Back than this was his debut on Dirt Crew and it gave him great recognition in the Deep House scene. Since that first release he has done proper work on labels such as 'Sleazy Beats Black Ops', 'Outernational', 'Young Adults' and most recently on the great 'Delusions of Grandeur' with his remix for '6th Borough Project'. In this 4 track EP Ben La Desh digs even deeper in his universe of moody House. Taking the tempo down and making the grooves tight and driving. The pace is set with the first track of the EP 'Stellar Talk' that evolves around a great pumping bass line and wide atmospheric textures with hints to some Disco and even 80's sounds. The second track 'Whiplash' is a much darker affair, for us one of the most interesting tracks Ben La Desh has produced to date... it winds and twirls around a phased sound that places the whole mood of the track in a spacey almost sci-fi movie scenery. The third offering is the shiny 'Moon Swing' that picks up the tempo again and is a real dance floor joint much like 'Stellar Talk' it continues with great sampling and atmospheric 'Vangelis' like soundscapes. The last track of this EP is the ultra slow and sexy 'Call Her'. Absolutely the highlight for us on this great record. With it's slow beat and the Hip Hop style break beat and cowbell thing going on this is a real slow burner for those lazy summer afternoons... Chilin' on a groovy Tip.

We have gone back to 2014 to Mr Sultas much sought after debut release and had it completely overhauled by Simon Davey at the Exchange. The original had a slightly annoying little click in one of the tracks that some people noticed (and some didn't...). Once it was brought to our attention it was getting on our tits too, hence the reason we decided on a re-cut! It sounds even better than before, and is coming on milky white vinyl with possibly even an extra hidden track...
The O.G. copies of this are going for stupid money now, so don't feed the speculators - buy direct and get a better product! ,)

The hip house boom was in full effect, thanks to Tyree Cooper's efforts, and Trax responded with this double-header. 'Power Move' is straight up hip hop, but it's the flip, producer by Trax regular Lidell Townsell, 'I'll Make You Dance' that does the business here. Kool Rock Steady, also known as Edward Rudolph, had serious credentials for an MC, being cousin of one Africa Bambaataa. This release is also notable for yet another misspelling of Lidell Townsell's Christian name (Lydell, since you ask).

For their tenth release, Voodoo Down has again chosen to debut a new act to add to their label roster. Andy Harper and Nic Ford have been making music together for over a decade but began releasing in earnest under the name MadderModes in 2014 on their own label, Shift Coordinate Points. They have since put out records on the labels Millions of Moments and Night Drive Music. Their handful of releases have already drawn support from top names like Move D and Nick Höppner, and it's clear that the duo's sound is only getting more refined with each successive record. The EP entitled Emprical Evidence' is a wholly cinematic piece of work, spread across four tracks that unravel slowly, unified by a theme of pumping syncopated rhythms under sprawling pad and string progressions. "Sharknado" was elected the most useless word in the world in 2014. It was obvious for us to steal this film name and become illegal in the spheres of ignorance. Sharknado is a musician duo, much like fashion skewers the time, a little roast beef, shrimp and some time with the family grows a little more each day. Sharknado is electronic music everything from classic, a TR808, a bassline and some analog synths . nothing new ! We like the experience of all, which is why we do with what is, and with a small step back and humor we see the world's beauty in all its forms (can be an epigenetic story ...) . We see the beauty in the change in radioactivity and what it produces on wildlife. An albino shark fins three is our inspiration ... Sharknado attempts to write the story of a changed world, fed with uranium, a world unknown, abandoned.

We are delighted to welcome up-and-coming Hamburg-based producer, Simon Ferdinand to the Landed camp - an artist who is producing some of the finest Raw, Deep House music out there at the moment! Tipped as the rising star of 2014, we are honoured to have Simon as one of the Landed team and roster.
His new EP, Back To The Raw - as the title suggests - sees Simon delivering three original tracks of stand-out, raw vibe.
