Jonas Rathsman marks the inaugural release on the newly established Method White label, a club focused imprint from Disclosure 's Method Records that will deliver an on-going series of one-off releases available digitally and on a limited run of vinyl.
'Method White is going to be a platform to release some of our favourite music being created right now, that we feel represents the best of the best of underground electronic music today. We also want to take this further by DJing alongside some of the acts who's music we release in our WILD LIFE events' - Disclosure.
Jonas has gone a long way to prove his value to the dance music community, his releases on French Express and remixes for the likes of London Grammar, Tensnake, Duke Dumont and Sam Smith have established Rathsman as a driven and forward thinking producer and DJ. With 'Wolfsbane', Jonas introduces the first installment on Method White and like the flow er it's named after, the track is just as deadly as it is beautiful.
The track has already been a staple among sets from Disclosure, Huxley, Duke Dumont, Justin Martin and Solomun among others with Jonas perfecting a mix of dark and light while taking the impact of his drops to all new levels.
With forthcoming dates including a six-date foray into North America in February, festival performances to come at Bestival, Lost Village, Hideout, Parklife and the debut WILD LIFE Festival in June,there are plenty of chances tocatch Rathsman doing what he does best - working a crowd.

John Ciafone and Lem Springsteen are true House legends, under their Mood II Swing production moniker the duo have scored an endless succession of club classics, cult hits and underground anthems. Since 1992 they've been at the forefront of the deep House and Garage movement emanating from New York City's clubs and streets and they show no sign of quitting anytime soon!

The latest, and third sampler of Mood II Swing archival tracks is here, and as usual it's full of the duo's seminal productions, dubs and remixes for NYC's finest, King Street Sounds.

Quriky Icelandic four-piece Sísý Ey, debut on Andy Butler from Hercules & Love Affair's Mr.Intl label with a huge summer anthem. 'Do It Good' is released in with remixes from Neville Watson, Citizenn, and Andy Butler and is gearing up to be this year hot ticket!

Sísý Ey can only be described as kooky, fierce, energetic and off-the-wall. The three sisters who sing in close vocal harmony forge a wonderfully unique sound that slays dancefloors. Sísý Ey featured on Kasper Bjorke's 'Apart' single in December 2014, and the retro-future classic 'Do It Good' is destined to be an anthem this summer, with additional production from Andy Butler and Constantin from Hercules.

Icelandic band Sísý Ey (pronounced See See Ay) was founded in 2011 to get the three sisters, Elin, Elisabet and Sigga to sing live house music which would serve not only the exquisite combination of their beautiful voices into new and exciting territory, but would also showcase their abilities in a different context as all have more acoustic-driven music careers, working together with producer and DJ, Oculus. The band's main focus is live performance as this is the best environment to experience their one-of-a-kind talent, together with the intense energy of the music. Andy Butler's Mr Intl label is a breeding ground for quality disco dust and a creative outlet for the producer outside of his life as the pioneering Hercules & Love Affair.

Chewed up and spat out the other side of the UK's Acid House scene, Neville Watson was bitten hard by the house music bug and has not looked back since. 2013 saw the release of his debut album through the legendary Crème Organization. Citzenn has recently released his debut Album 'Interface' on Crosstown Rebels to great acclaim, which Andy Butler is busy working on new Hercules & Love Affair material for their forth album.

Yoruba Records is proud to open 2016 with a forward thinking EP and album teaser from Yoruba fan favourite Toto Chiavetta. Hailing from Catania, Sicily, his deeper influenced house sound is a hit at Yoruba and we couldn't be more excited to welcome him back. This EP opens with the Beatless Mix of 'Impermanence', the title track from his forthcoming album. Tshaka Campbell's vocals lend unbelievable perspective to this jazzy, guitar-led chill out track, while also giving listeners some serious food for thought, an easy track to lose yourself in. Up next is 'Take Care'. Influenced by the classic Chicago sound, this bass line driven cut pushes the style in new directions while maintaining an absolute dance floor focus, a must-have to kick off the year. We close with 'Be The Wind'. This techy, spaced out groove is well suited for the late night hours, its moody synth lines gently tease as you await the addition of the dance floor ready percussive combination. Heist kicks off the new year with the first ep of Detroit Swindle since they put out their album 'Boxed Out' back in march '14. The Punch Drunk EP is the result of a series of jam sessions in their studio, experimenting with their ever growing studio setup. Allright (we'll be) is an uptempo affair at its 128 BPM, with an irresistably sexy hook that just makes you wanna give free hugs for its full 7:10 minutes. Pursuit has that classic Detroit Swindle vibe with an almost acidy synth rolling on in the background, giving the track the core of it's energy. Heads Down is the deepest of the 3, where a particularly shuffling set of offbeat toms create the groove and a set of warm synths give you a simple dancefloor choice to go hands up, or heads down. "Underground House Music from Indonesia."Munir surfed the globe with his band MIDNIGHT RUNNERS and stirred up the underground Funk community worldwide, earning him releases on Omega Supreme Records, Groove College and more recent at Hobo Camp Records. His early Disco and New Age influences result into heavy Funk and House sounds.Through vintage beat machines and synths, and with the help of his friend from Japan; Azumi, Munir captures the feeling of the late 70s and early 80s and transforms it into well-balanced layered cuts from 2016. Both sides showcase his skills and passion. Thick chord arrangements on the keys, boogie basslines and smooth guitar licks create his recognizable sound.

The debut vinyl release of Detroit underground mainstay Sterling Toles features tracks produced between 1998 and 2006, recently unearthed by Sector 7-G Recordings. Sterling emerges from a scene of producers that prided themselves on sampling distressed vinyl and lo-fi analog production as a reflection of the mental and physical environment of the post-industrial city. Sterling carries that sonic dialect with him as he nomadically incorporates the language of other genres, variously exploring soul, ambient, Detroit techno, and folk sensibilities. From the ambient/folk impressions of "grace, i will now let go..." to "inga 135" sounding like 90's jazz-inspired hip-hop having a ghettotech dream, "Archival Arteries" is grounded in the sonic palette associated with Detroit's ethereal and minimalist boom bap hip-hop style. These tracks hold the imprints of Detroit's expansive musical institutions such as The Electrifying Mojo, The New Dance Show, and CBC radio's Brave New Waves. Created with just an Ensonic EPS sampler and a VS 1880, this EP captures the fluid musings of this indelible artist

The new offshoot of Isaiah Tapes - Baptismo Alpinismo - presents brooding soundscapes in a 7-inch red-marbled cut. The two pieces by Arnheim work as soundtracks for individuals braving themselves towards self discovery within the structures of the concrete jungles. Come Into Rain dominates with minimalistic harmonies of industrial vocation, supplements its percussive rhythms and reflects current movement of nasty landscape figures..Red Blue borrows direct from these surroundings.... Echoes of funky drums, ever so powerful in clubs of dancers are still resonant and the depth of piano still sonorous. The saxophone solo is taken direct from this concrete jungle, its environment seeping into the groove. Cars, sirens, people, the monotony of city captured on the two-sided, red-marbled, disk for ones' own self discovery. Soundscapes for innerview.

Illusory house and techno from New York native Image Man, following up a release on crucial newcomer label Sunal/Perabob with another four-track 12' of windy, paradoxical tracks built from samples and drum machine.

Glance' shifts further into a weirded out but druggily decadent realm where he's found looping the reflections of disco, soul and ancient pop samples into his own spaced and primitive euphorias, starting out with the slowmo downbeat of More' before the more apprehensive rhythms of Else' end up filtering out into a pool of a reverberant samples that echoes out the second half.

Of course the big problem was perpetual drunkenness—people would drink themselves to death. I was born on October 4, 1990. It was a very interesting but critical time for Russia—a time of great change. The Soviet Union was no more, and old values were anathematized because of the reconstruction.

In my early teens no one seemed to understand me in this world (I thought), so I read Washington Irving novels and listened to The Cure. At around 20 years old I felt a real need to find myself, so I entered the directing department of the Moscow School of New Cinema. At the same time, electronic music fascinated me completely.

A small circle of my friends formed around a mutual interest in music. We always went to concerts together, of which were mostly interna- tional artists: Inga Copeland, DJ Spinn and DJ Rashad, Legowelt, Death Grips, Florian Kupfer, Dean Blunt, etc. It wasn't long until we organized the community and DIY record label known as John's King- dom. It's not only about music; it's also a channel for art, videos and lifestyle. Now it's the most alive and honest thing in Moscow.

My music is strongly inspired by Autechre, Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada, but with the lyrics and mood of Mazzy Star. I admire con- temporaries Inga Copeland and Laurel Halo, however, my songs are more pop-leaning because of the powerful influence MTV had on my adolescence.

The sinister synths in 'Sgoraet'(Burning Down) are inspired by the otherworldliness of Russian winters. Russia in winter is a terrible thing, but it also has a strange romantic presence to it. The drum and bass coda emulates the feeling of impending death and transition to another state when winter is over one's shoulder.

THE PLAYGROUND's 8th release comes from Japanese artist KEZ YM. His ability to blend soul-infused house and disco seamlessly is
revered by many. Four solid tracks with the A-side featuring strong and deep grooves, while the B-side feels warm and dubby. Vinyl ONLY release (no digital!).

Nincs, a Hungarian word roughly translating to there is no", is the debut EP of Kornél Kovács, one third of influential Stockholm label Studio Barnhus alongside Petter Nordkvist and Axel Boman. Kovács' latest outing Szikra struck a chord with lovers of quality house music worldwide and as 2014 came to a close it lingered on top of many a year-end-list. But the sheer beauty of Szikra was only the beginning. 2015 is set to be a monster year for Kovács and it all begins with Nincs EP. Leading track Nordic Rave 4 sets the ball rolling with hyper-edited vocals and rolling percussion shrouded in frosty atmospherics and rudebwoy soundbites. Don't sleep on the acidic bassline that sneaks up on the unsuspecting towards the end! Utopia, Ohio is like all the characters of 80s movie classic The Breakfast Club rolled into one modern house track: the pretty tenderness of The Princess, The Athlete's muscular effectiveness, the off-kilter weirdness of The Basket Case, IDM techniques worthy of The Brain and the smooth ruthlessness of The Criminal - jackin' for beats in dusty record bins all over the world. The grandiose pads and descending bassline of Tooth make up a track that is as imposing as dizzying. Slightly out-of-tune samples quiver like a struck drum - thoroughly processed and mangled through Kovács' mutated machine park. Closing track So So Solid surprises by *not* being the ultimate clash between Jermaine Dupree and Reebok-clad grime stylings, although Kovács could probably pull that off as well. Instead we get a beatless loopfest akin to The Field or Gas - pure angst-ridden bliss! Collaborating with studio wizard Matt Karmil has given these productions an exquisite aura depth. On Nincs, the idiosyncrasies of Kornél Kovács' work come into light, always finding the sweet spot between crazy, sexy and pretty damn cool.

New Name, New Look, New Artists !!! O*RS receives international support from Karrem Ali, Savvas, Niccolò Cupo & Esette.

On Scissor and Thread's fourth release of 2016, newcomer Villete takes a turn in the spotlight on their deep house stunner, 'Girl Next Door'. The A-side opens with the swelling pads and earnest hi-hat of Dreams". A distant voice declares everyone is devoted to their emotion, it's me and my imagination' before a springy bass line drops in, ushering in the mantra never be afraid to dream". A brassy synth further envelops the listener into the track's warm embrace as layers of percussion skitter in and out of focus. September' takes a turn for the cerebral with its' skipping hi-hats and airy pads. A springy bass line is accompanied by celestial synths that envelop the senses, making this psychedelic cut primed for after hours devastation. Villete goes even more cerebral on their introspective title cut, dialing back on the BPM, but keeping the energy high. A hushed bass and thudding kick take the backseat, allowing the hypnotizing, submerged pads and swirling, reverbed synths to take center stage, transporting dancers into eye-closed euphoria. The EP closes with the murky drum tones of Rillia". Droning pads, delicate claps, and a shy, skittering shaker keep things bubbling and light above the track's thicker than molasses kicks. Deep house maestro Darand Land takes his turn on the aforementioned track, lifting it out of the murk and straight up to the heavens and drenching it in his sun-kissed, euphoric style.

JammHot are a Leeds and London-based production partnership consisting of Matt Mason and Jamie Adams whose rich blend of house flavours that oozes musicality and sense of adventure is now introduced to the Eyetone imprint with ET 006.
4 terrific cuts form the 'Under the Influence' EP and demonstrate a core ethos at work that allies irresistible rhythms and bold melodic directions that are aimed firmly for the dance floor.
'Set Free' is the standout number here that delightfully drives along at pace and was what initially attracted the attention of label owner DEMi. With an immediate comparison to a previous house classic 'David James - Always' which featured on the iconic 'Back to Basics' compilation by Danny Tenaglia, Set Free is an epic groove train that warms the soul and senses. It simply sounds so good'Get Down, Stay Down' is a matured approach full of a vibe that effortlessly swirls with funk and laid-back vibes. Still very much influenced by the classic sounds of Sneak, Farina and Carter, this is a sleeping tiger waiting to be unleashed.
'Serenity' follows suit and as the name suggests, there is an ethereal mood sprinkled over more funk laden grooves by the duo. Both cuts are vintage B-side numbers that grow on you with each listen and sound relevant today, tomorrow and for years to come.Angelis is the final inclusion and is the deeper cut provided by JammHot. Shades of Vangelis are evident here as the track glides but doesn't drift too far into the unknown.
It's a sound that's both reflective and progressive and which will sound relevant in years to come.
