Stockholm-based imprint Swedish Brandy Productions serves up a sultry four track V/A 12' with deep and soulful gems.

First out on the A side you get the track 'Legs Lover'. Equipped with Yamaha RS-7000, Moog Rouge and Roland Juno 106, Moscow based House and Techno purist and producer Harry Light gives us an uncompromising old school deep house groover with crisp pounding beats, stuttering chords and distinct catchy hooks. Harry Light has previous releases on labels such as Artreform, Pro-Tez and Beef to name a few.

The A side ends off with the post-disco sounding killer track 'Overland & Sea' by London based producer and DJ Dan Westlake aka Westlake72. Dan's sound borrows liberally from the history of club and dance music, mixing and matching eras to create his own contemporary sonic palette, sighting the early and mid 80's New York post-disco producers such as Darryl Payne and Paul Simpson in particular as key influences.

On the flip side Soultechnic aka DeejayKul delivers the deep and classy track 'Addicted'. Rául Navarette, the man behind both aliases, has been holding it down since the late 80's, releasing music on labels like Atjazz Record Company, Z Records, Peng, Del, Basic Fingers and Xtrasolar Records, and remixing great artists like Opolopo, The Rurals, Gregory del Piero, Kenny Bobien, Monday Michiru, Monodeluxe, Diviniti and many more.

In 2009, the alias Soultechnic was born giving Rául an extra dimension with which to explore his musical creativity. It is not uncommon to see DeejayKul and Soultechnic on mutual remix duties, which is a testament to the creativity behind the alias.

As the final number we are thrilled to introduce Prague based producer Martin Vejvoda aka Limyth. Inspired by soul, funk, jazz and electronic music of all genres, Limyth gives us the sweet and chilled track 'Don't Matter' with that classic nineties jazzy feel. Shuffling hi-hats, deep 808 kicks, sampled Rhodes chords combined with grand atmospheric strings starting in the break down section with further vocal chops and crisp synth hooks.

Flumo's mainstay Ekkohaus returns, this time bringing a full-bodied package for the dance floor. Suitably, Far Fetcher acts as a warm welcome, inviting the listener inside its richly deep analogue soundscapes, reminiscent of deeper sides of classic house rhythms that have come from the USA. It's pace provides a perfect way to start off the EP while the synth-vocal creates a soulful depth.Things get darker and more aggressive with Musketeers, a dub-heavy rhythm that drives one to involuntary movement due to its relentless repetition and & subtle swing. The amalgamation of the synth along with the pulsating sub invigorates one to move and bounce along with these elements.
Fantasy provides the penultimate party vibe. It's funkiness transcends & the melodies drive the vocals to the extent of ecstasy.Rounding off the EP 64 Bars features vocals by Arthur Russel, the synth inflicted break progressions capture the vibe of Ekkohaus live sets with Its haunting chants hinting towards techno and while its warmth never escapes.

For the best part of a decade, Fred Peterkin has impressed with his ultra-deep, soul-flecked take on deep house and techno. Here, his Soul People Music imprint gives birth to a new sub-label, Energy of Sound, with the New York producer delivering a double-pack's worth of previously unreleased cuts. Naturally, the standard is abnormally high throughout, with Peterkin variously serving up sumptuous, dreamy fare ("Down Under", the San Francisco '90s deep house revivalism of "Don't Be Afraid"), chunkier deep house rollers ("Memory P"), crunchy dub house ("Dub In The Sky"), and throbbing, tech-tinged brilliance ("Tokyo To Chiba" and the European-sounding "Sybian").

The best records have a story, they form part of a journey, different characters emerge and the good music always rises to the fore. In the case of the latest record from Scottish producer Jack Eye Jones and the legendary Junior Sanchez this is certainly true. Cocaine Blues is a step into the unknown in some respects but in another way, it's a record that seems to fit in perfectly with today's electronic music landscape.
Originally written by T.J "Red" Arnall in 1947 the song reached worldwide prominence thanks to a certain Johnny Cash and it remains one of the seminal records of his career. Always one to draw inspiration from different genres the record inspired some late night to early morning (6am to be precise) experimentation from Jack Eye Jones alongside longtime friend and member of Alabama 3 (the group behind the infamous Sopranos theme tune among many other iconic records), Rev D. Wayne Love at the band's renowned Brixton Jamm studio. With 12 albums and 16 hit singles under his belt, his vast experience proved an invaluable asset during the momentous studio session.
What emerged from the process were some stunning, emotion laden recordings and a platform to develop the project into something for dancefloors around the world.
It was missing one thing however, that little sprinkling of the underground, this is a track for the nighttime and it was alongside close friend Junior Sanchez that this deep,
dark rework was brought to life.
The groove infused track that emerged is an accomplished one, a track equally at home in the main room of Space Ibiza or the outdoor arena's of the world's festivals.
The record will be released as a double sided vinyl this August (as well as on all digital outlets). Alongside the original will be a house infused lounge mix, complete with a devastating piano riff and a sweet summer vibe.

As the label continues to serve up mouthwatering house and hip hop, D3 Elements now dips its toes into more techno leaning territory with a series entitled Technologie. The first release comes from American D'Marc Cantu under his lesser known Rival alias and features three tracks of hypnotic and widescreen grooves.
Cantu has put out plenty of EPs and LPs on labels like Creme, New York Haunted and MOS over the last decade, and also runs his own Run Out Run label. As well as working solo he has teamed up with the likes of JTC to great effect, and here he proves he cooks up unusual atmospheres and freaky sounds that really permeate the mind and body.
Session 020 is first and is a woozy, spaced out number with trippy melodies and squelchy synths unfolding above a rolling and rubbery drum line. Acid prickles add texture to this serene bit of soul and pained vocals add a human feel, making it a truly intoxicating number. Session 026 is much busier, with frazzled textures, metal synths and hurried melodies making for an urgent tech cut that cannot help but make you dance. Lately, Session 006 is a gorgeous mid tempo number with smeared pads adding depth and soul, distant acid, glowing melodies and well treated vocals panning left and right. It is emotive electronic music with a real heart and heat to it, and it rounds out a classy and elegant

Mark Jenkyns and Christopher Sylvester have joined forces as 12 Stories to release the heavy duty 'Night Obscure EP' on Hot Creations. The EP features two original and unique no nonsense club weapons plus an equally solid remix from Bunte Bummler.

On the A-side, the acid induced 'Showtime' uses a sample from a ghetto fight to aptly fit the name of the track. After spending a lot of time in the studio and using numerous bits of Roland gear, the second track 'Night Obscure' finally came together when Mark's neighbour spontaneously sang a French poem for the the vocals. No stranger in the Hot Creations camp Bunte Bummler uses the vocals to full effect over deep chugging percussions, while keeping hold of the sonic energy that flows through the EP.

This release is their first original output as 12 Stories and paves the way for much more to come including releases on VIVa and Leftroom. Originally from South Shields, Mark Jenkyns has enjoyed a series of well received releases on Hot Creations, Hot Waves, Crosstown Rebels and Dogmatik. Christopher Sylvester under his Inxec alias has released on a wealth of labels including Contexterior, Last Night on Earth, Leftroom, Get Physical, Culprit and Crosstown Rebels.

Mannheim natives Bunte Bummler aka Fabian Winkels and Manuel Vobis met 12 years ago in the graffiti scene, although several years would pass before they joined together to produce and DJ. Releases have appeared on the likes of Hot Trax, Recovery Tech, Deep Tech Records, Viva Music, Leone, Defected and Cecile.

André Laos' second act on Let's Play House is a continuation of his first. Like Roundabout, Nordic Delight (the guy hails from Gothenburg, so you can guess where the title originated), is sunny and bright piano-laden house that's as melodious as it is layered and ornate. Unlike that EP, though, this one really revolves around one track"Stroganoff"which is presented in three different forms: a vocal mix, a "piano stew" dub, and a remix from Anton Klint of Tiedye. Supplementing and equalizing those is "Kalops," the 12''s second original.

"Stroganoff" starts modestly: setting the stage are a warm bass and glistening synth line that sound as though they're pulsing from a nightclub you're still waiting in line to enter. Slowly, both rise up in the mix and explode into a shimmery wall of glitter, strobes, puffs of smoke. Eventually, a vocal that feels firmly planted in the late 80s or early 90sthink Inner Cityenters and we shift into high gear. The cut effortlessly fades away with a simple kickand then it's back with the dub instrumental, a rejigging of the O.G. that cuts the vox for jacked-up keys and an energy that somehow adds even more drive, more force.

The B starts with the "Kalops," a moodier and more contemplative song that gently ambles forward in a swirl of tight percussion, smooth keys, and a smattering of xylophones for good measure. Seven minutes later we find ourselves returning to "Stragnoff" for a final go, this time with Mr. Klint's rendering. Laos' Gothenburg neighbor (and studiomate!) puts his focus on the drums, which he adds some rigidity to, a bouncy synth hook he penned, and a grab-bag of funky bells and whistles.
Summer doesn't have to end just because October's begun.

Benjamin Brunn's follow up to his highly regarded A Sun Life album on Third Ear. The Plastic Album is, like it's predecessor once again bursting with fat, glistening, gorgeous sounds. Brunn's sound is instantly recognizable; the Nord Modular synth and Roland 808 which feature on all his performances. Yet, he's sounding as fresh, as enigmatic and as soulful as ever.

Yoruba Records is proud to bring you this expertly crafted EP from the ever-talented Yoruba favorite, Carlos Mena. A purveyor of deep and soulful house both behind the decks and in the studio, Mena wastes no time getting down to business in this latest release.

The EP opens with Bang It, a punchy, peak hour house track that's destined for the dancefloor. A rolling, yet driving bass line commands you to move your feet as label head Osunlade's vocals carry you from build up to release - the synth stabs assure you become lost in the music. A2 brings you a unique must-have: Elegba, an ode to the guardian, protector, and communicator. A jazzy, tribal-leaning cut, this soothing track features an impressive array of world percussive instruments that take you to new heights just as its flute brings dancers into and out of a melodic trance. Moving on: this EP's title track, Deep Forever More, as the title suggests brings us a little deeper. Its vocals unveil a story you'll want to lend an ear to while it's subtle, spaced out synths keep you grooving. Featuring a magnificent piano solo by Ezel, this track is dance floor fodder and undoubtedly a future Yoruba classic. Finally, the EP closes out with an instrumental cut of Bang It, featured as A1 on the other side of the record. Yoruba is pleased to present this release as an absolute must have for heating up the dancefloor as we move into the cold winter months.

secretsundaze return with SS016 - DJ Qu's mighty SS1 EP. secretsundaze and Qu have developed a special relationship with him playing at many of their parties in London but also at their events in the likes of New York, Berlin and Barcelona.

A full 3 track EP on a label outside of his own Strength Music is rare for DJ Qu so its serious coup for secretsundaze.

Title and lead track 'SS1' is quite simply huge. Definitely one of Qu's most peak time tracks, a slamming groove is underpinned with a bleepy, squelchy sounds and some dramatic synth stabs. This should be a highlight in many DJs sets for months to come.

With 'Fearless' DJ Qu goes deep. A typically eerie yet soulful groove creeps along complimented by deep strings before the sampled and skewed spoken word creeps in. 'Loveboxx' is a dark and sinister track with stuttering drums and more of Qu's trademark treated vocal samples.

The track is really lifted up with some string like keys and this 3rd and final track rounds up what is a masterful display by a producer in his prime.

The tracks draw influence from tribal rhythms but are manifested within a hard, yet stripped back, minimal style. Sublime deep House of the highest order from New Jersey's very own Kerri 'Kaoz 6:23' Chandler. "Rain" taken from Kerri's 1998 "The Mood" EP, was always a deep house classic.
These mixes originally made by Kerri for Nervous in 2000 get a re master and limited repress for 2016.

Krankbrother return to their label with a new two track single that further establishes their musical chops and keen ear for sophisticated and classy house music. 'Paradigm Shift' comes off the back of three EPs already on their own label and a string of DJ dates and London parties, and finds the brothers in deep, early sunrise mode.
'Paradigm Shift' kicks off with swinging and thumping drums, pierced with female vox and dramatic string pads that continue to build throughout the track's tenure, creating a misty eyed and wondrous vibe. An arpeggiated synth kicks in after its breakdown lifting the track to dizzying heights as acid motif and chopped vocals rage hard.
On the flipside, 'Right There With You' is another chugging house track par excellence, it's almost trance-like atmosphere evoking shades of classic Berlin house music. Rising pads and a flourishing bassline create a perfect early morning gloss, a simple 303 bass pattern tweaks merrily as a distant sample calls out the track title. 'Right There With You' demands to be played out in fields and terraces this Summer, the brothers having refined a classic sound in this production that reflects their own musical influences and style.

New Jersey's mythical Zanzibar club has long been a source of wonderment for dance music fans around the world. The Newark institution has been connected to some of the biggest producers and DJ's in the world of dance music; Blaze, Tony Humphries, Kerri Chandler, Tee Scott and many more! Step up Jovonn aka LY with this most classic piece of late night NJ House / Garage from 1994 - "Back To Zanzibar", a love letter to the club and dance-floor that no doubt had a massive influence on him and countless others during it's existence. 2 mixes of "Back To Zanzibar" feature and both are slow burning House of the highest order with LY calling us to join him to "hang out in Newark" and go back to the club over a backdrop of melodic deepness. It's a flawless track and deservedly wears the tag of "classic" comfortably. Essential. On side-B we are treated to 2 mixes of "Deep Inside My Mind" which has a slightly tougher, more frenetic, vibe to the side-A cut. "Deep Inside My Mind" is all skippy drums, slightly odd synth chords and LY on vocals asking us "Can you feel it" Definitely one for the dancers in the dark corners of the club!

The excellent Meant label now offers up two new original cuts from Maxime & Remain complete with a stellar remix package from
Kasper Bjorke, Remain, Johnson and Jackethat & Lipelis.
Meant label boss Remain pairs up once again with Brooklyn based Maxime for this latest release. The duo have previously released on Meant as well as the highly respected Throne of Blood imprint. Their cultured sound is finely crafted, synth lead and noir in tone, and this new EP is another fine outing for the pair. 'Lost It' is a dark disco cut with steely synths, pixelated melodies and a cute sense of metropolitan funk. An arpeggiated bassline drives the whole thing along and alien vocals add that abstract air. Danish man and HFN Music regular Kasper Bjorke is first to remix and does so subtly, layering in more compelling drums and upping the watery, melodic aspect of the track.
For their part, Jackethat & Lipelis flip the track into a more overtly disco groover with slithering and withering synths, explosive drums and plenty of wonky lines. Then comes the next original, 'Cold Feet'. This one is a flabby, purposeful and slo-motion disco cut with wobbly arps, chugging drums and slapping percussion that all make you want to get up and move. For the digital exclusives, Remain then goes it alone on his 'Indie Version' of 'Lost It', stripping it back and instead placing the focus on tough synth lines and stiff drum patterns. Lastly, Belgian producer Johnson remixes the title track into a predatory, crawling number with well poised synth stabs, stuttering bass and plenty of freeform lines that all jangle around me well rooted groove. This is an expansive package that covers lost of lush dark disco ground with plenty of flair.

The first release is a reissue of the classic Parris Mitchell - Project 12" featuring "All Night Long".

TAPAN is a duo from Belgrade. Title track, 'The City', takes few minutes to get going, but when it does... it's like a James Chance/no wave saxophone on some kind of funky slo-mo euro techno. The other 3 tracks drift in and out like some kind of night time fog on a glassy lake with live instruments/percussion peeping out from the hills. For deep and moody waistoids and freaks only.

Another rare footnote from the early days of the legendary Romanthony's musical output. "Psalm 1" as the title suggests is a heavy, religious leaning low slung prayer for the dancefloor. Originally released in 1992 on single sided vinyl this one has long been sought after by hardcore Romanthony fans and wax addicts alike. Remastered and legitimately reissued for 2016 "Psalm 1" is now available again, once the thing of collectors only this rare 12" still sounds fresh! You no longer have to say your prayers to find a copy, they have been answered!

Berlin based duo Africaine 808 will release their debut album 'Basar' via NY imprint Golf Channel (home to Mark E, Juju & Jordash and DJ Nature) in January next year.

'Basar' pushes their divine blend of West African bass and rhythms, disco, island-funk and house to newer heights. Their deep and timeless debut is about 'Freedom and Freedom only' and is an album that reaches for the party Arthur Russell was talking about when he said 'I wanna see all my friends at once.'

Africaine 808 are Dirk Leyers, formerly one half of Closer Musik, and Berlin DJ and established artist Nomad. The pair met in Berlin at the city's annual summer techno demonstration Fuckparade in 2000, where they caught the infamous 'Techno Viking' scene live as it unfolded. Nomad got his first drum aged 6 years old, from a church collective yard sale. Now an avid collector of African influenced musical styles, from South African Shangaan to Westafrican Funk, his rhythmic quest has lead him to study and explore African and world music for almost 3 decades. The Africaine 808 project grew out of Nomad's Vulkandance parties, a melting pot of African, Latin, and Caribbean club music.

The title 'Basar' comes from the ancient term for 'oriental marketplace", a place to experience a multitude of impressions with your senses. Like an exotic marketplace, 'Basar' is filled with different sights and sounds around every corner. From the deep and mystical 'NGONI' which takes West African music to the rave with wobbling bass and hints of 90s ethno-dub to the killer squirmer of a bassline on 'Language of the Bass ft. Alex Voices' which keeps things heavy but nimble whilst recapturing UK bass histrionics. The smokey, soulful tones of OFRIN on 'Ready For Something New' offers a mystical downbeat gem. Whereas 'Basa Basa' takes it back to the dancefloor for a sweaty rhythmic number that bounces off the walls with it's tribal funk groove. Recent 12' single 'Rhythm Is All You Can Dance' also makes an appearance, wedding funk, earthy rhythms and frenzied African grooves to the gurgle of an 808.

The duo made their debut back in 2013 with 'Tummy Tummy', which featured on Will Speculators W.T. Recordings compilation "DJ MUSCLE." The following year Golf Channel put out "Lagos New York." Pairing New York flecked disco with West African bass and rhythms, "Lagos New York" made for one of 2014's most essential electronic releases.

Having found the right home with one of the best labels (and parties) in New York City, the Berliners debut album 'Basar' has the feeling of an essential piece of music all over - a big, brooding, emotional and uplifting record that you can dance, laugh and cry to.

A-Z is a new label started by Al Zanders !
This stand-out new production talent has already, across only a handful of releases (As Lodger on the Stamp label & under his own name on Karakul & Blind Jacks Journey) made quite a name for himself ! A-Z is a new platform for his distinctive and eclectic output After sharing a stage at Shambala festival, Al was impressed by the 7 piece Sheffield group Hot Diamond Aces, who sent the crowd into a dancing frenzy with their bombastic brass licks and Afro-beat inspired rhythms.
So impressed in fact, that he approached them afterwards with the idea of doing a remix and starting a label. The reworked version of 'DSOMC' is a certified corker that has already been tearing up dancefloors.For the flip, things get deeper with an unashamedly happy House jam 'Raiz', which features some twinkling keys from Sleepsang.

With a solid collection of productions and remixes to his name, Arturo's music has helped define the unique and emerging Silicon Valley sound. This approach blends the driving, beat-laden beauty of techno with the soulful, deep melodies of house.

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Arturo Garces has been surrounded by dance music his entire life. The son of a serious collector of funk, soul and disco records, Arturo grew up listening to the roots of house music. Interested in making his own music, Arturo got hold of a sampler in 1995 and hasn't looked back since. These early influences are evident in his works as a DJ and producer today for labels such asMagnetic Recordings (DJ Sneak) and Phil Weeks' Robsoul imprint.

He has new projects and remixes coming out continually on the underground scene, hitting the right mood for the dance-floor consistently. In addition Arturo is the label manager for San Jose's house imprint Jump Recordings, Beat Bum Music, and techno label Resource Records.
