If we put Armando, Gene Hunt and Steve Pointdexter together in a room with a few synthesizers, some rhythm boxes, a Roland 606 and a few cans of beer, what we would get is Shrimp Traxx. This very young, practically unknown Austrian artist has just made his recording debut on Bons Records with five tracks that range in style from classic to trippy, psychotic acid house.

These five jam sessions, made 100% using hardware, are now appearing on the Catalan label. After an EP with a markedly 90's house sound, Bons Records is now turning towards more ghetto vibes with a record to be spun and danced to exclusively in a house club. This is not warm-up stuff!

Strictly Mood II Swing is a new track collection of music from one of the most influential house music duos of all time. As Mood II Swing, production duo Lem Springsteen and John Ciafone will go down in history as one of the most prolific and respected house duos of the last 25 years. At their best, they were simply untouchable, with their drum programming often cited as what set them apart from the rest of the field: always busier and more intricate than straight-up 4/4 house tracks. Early underground hits arrived in the form of 'Critical', 'Searchin' and 'Closer' - cutting edge house records that have unequivocally stood the test of time and can still be heard frequently in clubs to this day. But it was the duo's original production of Ultra Naté's 'Free' for Strictly Rhythm that struck gold. The song became a huge hit and soon Mood II Swing was remixing big-name producers to tremendous effect, including BT 'Remember', Nuyorican Soul' It's Alright I Feel It' and Lucy Pearl 'Don't Mess With My Man'. In addition to the aforementioned tracks, highlights include 'All Night Long' and 'Do It Your Way' -, two records that arguably set a blueprint for house music production that is still be referenced by producers around the world. This knack of turning big vocal records into even bigger vocal club records is demonstrated with Kim English 'Learn II Love' and Fonda Rae 'Living in Ecstasy', while their dub mixes - think Everything But The Girl 'Wrong' (Mood II Swing Dub) and Mood II Swing feat. Carol Sylvan 'Closer' (Swing II Mood Dub) - are about as timeless as house music gets.

With all sonic elements sourced from the original film's OST - created by musical collective Geino Yamashirogumi () famed for their synergy of traditional Japanese folk music and Roland D-50 and Yamaha DX7-II digital synthesizers - Bwana conjures a hallucinogenic and twisted journey through Neo-Tokyo.

Während seine beiden großartigen Alben beim Frankfurter Label Running Back, Redshapes musikalische Affiität zu bestem Detroit-Techno ebenso unter Beweis stellen wie seine zahlreichen Tracks auf Music Man, Delsin und Styrax Leaves, wurde über seine Identität lange spekuliert. Mittlerweile glauben wir zumindest zu wissen, dass Redscape den Behörden als Sebastian Kramer bekannt ist und er in Berlin weilt. From the soul-stirring opening strains of Ex Friendly's sublime start to the People Are Looking At You imprint, it's clear that the emerging Nottingham-based producer has a gift for music that travels further than mere surface physical response. In a scene littered with disposable vocal turns, the simple poetry of Rich Medina's narrative that runs through "Journeyman" resonates perfectly with the yearning strings and low-slung, bass-rich groove that come to define this exquisite approach to deep house. Jonno & Tommo hone in on the more rhythmical elements with their own dub of "Journeyman" as a clearer club-ready intent meets with the psychedelic potency of the aqueous sound effects and that ubiquitous string hook. Whether reaching for a more meaningful dimension to add to a set, or to simply drift away on the cradling nature of the music and its message, it's clear from the outset that this is music built to last.

Llangollen's Crow Castle Cuts crew invited GNORK to SPACE OUT Gnork meets Mr Luv*Jam in Budapest in the sweetest Autumn season. A Blorpy Onk tripp through Transylvania and the forest of Hoia Baciu, eventually retreating back to Budapest. These are the tracks that inspired that journey. We also give you another Blind Jacks Journey regular Subjecktive and Gnork's secret 're-dream' edit of No Cursing. Nado16 saw Stratus take us all the way from the Gower Peninsula to the Adriatic, and now Swedish newcomer Gryningen beckons us into a sepia dream for Aficionado's third 10" special.

The latest example of Moonboots & Boardman's fine ear for talent, the mysterious Gryningen appears out of the shadowy Stockholmsnatt without a word or a website, on hand to lead us right through the looking glass. The opiated drones of 'Tvu Kvarter Frun Vintergatan' set the tone from the off, shifting and shimmering while languid synths lazily embrace you amid the gentle roll of the groovesome rhythm section.

As the opener drifts out into the crashing waves, 'Jag Flyter Omkring I En Ask' rises from the Baltic Sea with a lilting sway and understated melody.
Cosmic sequences sparkle like water in the moonlight and the subtle textures of acoustic guitar and chimes send us deeper into slumber. The organ-led 'Slia Dagar I Rymdlaboratoriet' tumbles down through the ocean murk into a subaquatic terrain of dubby reverb and psychedelic echo, illuminated occasionally by the refracted shimmer of chiming keys.

Mano Le Tough spends a lot of time in the club. In 2014, the Irish-born artist played more than 100 gigs all around the world—landing at number eight on Resident Advisor's annual DJ Poll in the process—but when the time came to make Trails, the follow-up to his much-lauded 2013 debut album Changing Days, Mano knew that a little time away from the dancefloor was in order.

Direct from the deepest corner of the southern hemisphere, a.k.a. Perth, Western Australia, Good Company Records is a new outlet for the music of our 'West Coast Underground', born out of four years of parties and a newly-opened specialist record store of the same name.

Helsinki's Lauri Saine is the storyteller for this, the third chapter of Fools & Fables Pleasingly his irresistible releases don't come along all that often, but when they do, they justifiably make serious waves Small Remedies, takes us on a journey to a side of Saine we seldom see...
First things first, 'Blush' cuts a breezy, cheerful path through a warm analogue space, with the mid-tempo throb of sampled rhythms to keep you from drifting too far off course.
'Casual' wears altogether looser pants as we just bob to and fro in a hammock while rum-soaked session players jam away in a distant speakeasy.
The tropical breeze blows free through 'Leisure Song' too, as we begin to get the impression Finland might actually be a small Pacific island. The sun has definitely set as we move to side B
Electronic elements play alongside the organic materials as pitched vocals punctuate a more plaintive vibe.
As the first cool beers of the evening begin to create a warm glow, we head to a dimly-lit basement bar, 'No Rush' where the hep cats are hanging and a sharp fingered double bassist dances a deadly duet with the Rhodes player. We wrap up this most memorable evening back in the hammock, taking in the 'Scenes' as the sun's just beginning to peek over the horizon, we bask in the glow of the day and night we'll have again and again...

Siren is Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area, Startree) and Dennis Kane (Disques Sinthomme, Ghost Town). Siren began recording in earnest during the winter of 2013, but has beginnings which date farther back, to their mutual residencies at NYC's storied night-spot APT, and to the parties they produced together in APT's wake. Events with names like Camille 3000, Adult Section and Strobe Lodge were lovingly presented, with bold, romantic graphics and a strong, specific statement that refinement and transgression can, and should always hang together.
Their third single, entitled "Paradise, follows up last autumn's sweeping and euphoric A/Way with Mr. Reed by stripping itself down and baring its elements in a slowly-unfolding workout, which is as haunting as it is thumping and propulsive.
Paradise is lush but also sinewy and spare, hinting at the compositional economy of that liminal mid-80s period where R&B and the developing sound of club music met.
Mark Dann's slide-y, honeyed, slightly-psychedelic bassline spars with a stone-cold guitar riff and synths which soar and declare, but somehow maintain their delicacy. Downtown-NY icon Felice Rosser effortlessly delivers a powerful-but-breathy and emotionally-evocative vocal which seduces the dancer and makes clear just which side of the existential fence Siren transmits from. Paradise is backed with an equally-compelling, late-night, dark and mechanical techno dub by Gavin Russom (Black Meteoric Star, DFA), and the digital release of the single includes a lean, futuristic, drum-machine led 5AM NY-vibe re-interpretation by Siren

Love Notes from Brooklyn is proud to present a brand new and promising young American artist in the form of tape_hiss. These three moody and emotive tracks fit in perfectly with the label sound Love Notes has been developing over their last few release. The Panic in Needle Park, the clear standout track, begins the EP with gloomy synth washes at a chugging, pitched down speed. That track is then ably reworked by fellow Brooklynite, Willie Burns, of LIES and WT Records, who breaks the beat up for a stunted and unique reinterpretation. On the flip, Love is a Dog From Hell brings a little acid to the proceedings, and Traces to Nowhere closes it out on consitantly dark and moody note. Literates will note the Bukowski references throughout. Another winner for this label.

Jeremy a.k.a. 'Underground Paris' is a renowned record collector & crate-digger. He is the founder of "My Love Is Underground", a vinyl-only label that's been responsible for the revival of the "authentic House groove" in Europe recently. Also a DJ, he travels all over Europe every week-end to spread his message! Pascal Rioux has worn many hats in the music industry over the past 15 years: Founder of Favorite Recordings, Rotax Disques and Big Single labels, he's also known for his many DeepHouse productions in the late 90's When those two House lovers met they immediately got along, building the idea of reissuing some obscure gems on a compilation. This is what My Love Is Underground is all about: a triple LP with 12 rare, underrated or unknown tunes from the golden days of House music, finely picked in Jeremy's collection!

After only a year of producing house music, the duo's tracks have ended up in DJ sets by XXXY, Jimmy Edgar, Bondax, and DJ Caspa; the pair have featured on international blogs like OnlyVibez and in glossy magazines like FHM. Tracks from Cream Soda are spinning in spots on Fashion TV and since the end of 2013 have been taken in rotation on Megapolis FM. Since January 2014 guys started their own radio show on Megapolis FM (89.5 fm) and personal NO ME Podcast. Band already predicting a great future, comparing it with Disclosure, and Bondax, and, in our opinion, Cream Soda - it is a sincere 'festive' house music with right groove of the 90s, which would be appropriate in almost any good club.

In its sounding Moan aims for lightness and sound transparency, ease of reference,showing remarkable ability of working in different stylistic situations. His tracks have incomparable clear feeling of life reality, simple and tough at the same time, when they balance on the verge of a pop sound and underground garage. 2014 saw the debut LP Je Ne Sais Quoi' (Wolf + Lamb Records) from California home grown trio PillowTalk aka Michael Tello, Ryan Williams and singer Sammy D. Now in 2016 after a practically non-stop touring schedule that has taken them around the world and back, the boys of summer return with their long awaited and dance floor tested Love Addicted EP. A double case of signature vocal house trouble this release wastes no time getting into the groove. First up, Love Addicted throws the party into full swing with a mix of powerful house drums, funky bass and an acid line that surely gets Crankenstein's approval (for those who know). On the B-side, but certainly not a sleeper, is Booty Rang. Think strong yet smooth drum programming, FM sounding melodies, Garage-y baseline and lyrics all about yo bootay!

It comes few and far between based on our touring schedule, so when we get to sit down in a studio together, it always brings out the best in us. Here are two straight up dance floor jams. We had a hard time picking the lead track here as both are designed for peak time dance floor shenanigans. We have been performing these in our live set this past year and have seen first-hand the magic of these tunes.'

Beautifully Designed HQ Doublepack by Roman Flügel - 6 stunning (and we really mean that) long tracks, all equally worthy.
Very few artists have influenced the sound of house and techno as much as Roman Flügel. Having been active since the early 90's under various aliases, few have been revered so widely as a DJ, live performer, producer, remixer, intellectual and record label owner. The record labels he helped found, Ongaku, Klang and Playhouse, are pivotal imprints in the electronic music scene, and his ability to gracefully incorporate and master most styles of 4/4 has seen him create a range of genres from techno, house, electro, ambient, IDM, downtempo, and acid house. Respected both as a solo artist and collaborator, this veteran of the scene has just ticked the label's bucket list with an incredible double vinyl for Hypercolour.

6 tracks of highly polished techno/electronica cover a range of tempos and styles on 'Monday Brain', a double pack vinyl to be released this October. Flügel demonstrates his ability to morph his sound with the times, and displays his breadth of sound design magnificently over the release.

Cosmic IDM sensibilities are explored on EP opener 'Teenage Engineering', building in harmony and texture, and a fine example of Flügel's melodic sound, whilst 'Make It Happen' captures more psychedelic touches over a solid groove.

"Man Sees The Face God Sees The Heart' goes as deep as the title suggests, rhythmic sounds melodically ride over minimal beats and luscious bass in a stirring slice of modern electronica, whilst 'Church Of Dork' wigs out like the very best Chicago house records, its synth motif worming around the jacked up beats. 'Picnic For Players' comes ready with blissful and melancholic riffs, dipped in warm reverb for a classic sounding piece, and the EP closes in fine style with the shadowy 'Vegetarian Leather Jackets'.

Even after two decades of music production and arrangement, Flügel shows no sign of dipping in the quality control department, and 'Monday Brain' is a testament to this producer who is clearly heading into the prime of his career, displaying an effortless knack of creating timeless dance.

The Tiger is back - finally on full length again! The second studio album for Tiger & Woods not only marks a desired return to a specific format, but is also a huge leap forward in their area of expertise: their brand of fun and functional dance music gets broadened by influences from electronica, italo disco and up-tempo house, while keeping a groove that is distinctly linked to what some people refer to as boogie. After travelling the world from left to right and from top to bottom with a live-set to boot and skilful DJ sets that resemble that genre melting approach, "On The Green Again" is the result of spending valuable studio time at the "Tiger's Lair" - a carefully-built new work place that plays its own part in the creative process of one of the most prolific production teams of our days, while simultaneously starting T&W Records for all sorts of adventures that are linked to Tiger & Woods, but not narrowed to a specific sound. The tireless NIBC returns to the spotlight for the next instalment of his Trunkfunk Records imprint. With each of the label's releases revealing his on-point A&R instincts, and all of his productions and remixes confirming a command of the studio, Love Lesson is a future classic that adds yet another shade to NIBC's rich palette.

NIBC's original version of "Love Lesson" is a slow-burn secret weapon that identifies the essential elements of house music magic, featuring a hard-knock life vocal with an uplifting message, unexpected changes of gear and atmospheric pauses, and moments of pure, uplifting, floor-shaking abandon. As always, there's more than meets the ear on a NIBC production: a buried vocal loop beneath the tight drum programming drives its low-end momentum, tiny electronic flourishes that carry its brightest frequencies, and classical house chords that woven from layers and layers of moving parts.

Having sourced his remix talent with equally precise attention, NIBC has found his most complementary cast on Love Lesson. The legendary Ian Pooley turns out his deep mastery, stretching the track's melodically suspenseful build with swirling spirals of melodic colour. Heavyweight duo Tuff City Kids - aka Gerd Janson and Lauer - ramp up the tuffness as is to be expected, closing the gap between harder-edged house and deep techno swing, bristling with kinetic energy and hands-in-the-air peaks. Trunkfunk favourite Hans Berg returns to the label fold again with a full throttle retake that bustles with saturated mids, layers of hand claps and buzzing, wobbling bass tones.

Early September will see the release of Paulo Olarte's 'El Escandalo De Tus Ojos' LP via Barcelona's Galaktika Records.
Columbian producer Paulo Olarte has been a long time friend and affiliate of the Galaktika imprint having been releasing with the label since it's early years a decade ago amongst further output for the likes of Liebe Detail and Diynamic. Here we see him back on Galaktika with his new long player, set for release in September via a special vinyl edition with a digital release to follow.
Across the 'El Escandalo De Tus Ojos' LP Olarte heavily gives priority to his roots via a running thread of Latin vocal stylings from the man himself throughout, opener 'Sombras En La Noche' lays the focus on cosmic synth leads, stabby bass hits and organic percussion before 'Love En On' eases into the hypnotic vocals alongside a raw acid tinged feel and sparse rhythms.
Throughout the long player Olarte stirs in a bunch of interludes in between the longer tracks in the shape of 'Roces', 'Las Chicas Beautiful' and 'El Barrio' touching a soft lo-fi texture while the core is directed squarely at the dance floor. 'La Queen', 'Solo Dejate Llevar' and 'No Puede Ser' make up the latter and see Paulo deliver a low-slung and playful style of house fuelled by bright synth melodies, hooky vocal licks and natural percussive shots.
