House Vinyl New Releases - News

It's about time that Dresden based Steve Kasper comes around with his first solo EP on Uncanny Valley. After ''Unvexed Dub'' on UV010 and ''Puli Kali (Rooted Dub)'' together with Goetterkreis on UV020 EP he provides four original cuts that extend the label's sound with some UK flavour. ''Helms Klamm'' isn't quite the battlefield you expect from the title but a fine UKish House affair with warm synths and a distinctive bass line that will cause a stir on the dance floor. Then there is ''Slo'fool (Ydee Dirtsocks Reset)'' which starts mysteriously tempered and develops into a hell of a tune with its drone-like synths. ''Good Old'' showcases Steve's knack for combining ingredients of the UK Hardcore Continuum. Good old it is. Finally, the dubby track that has to be on a coherent Steve Kasper-EP is ''Rooted (TRVE Dub)''. No doubt: Steve knows his masters. The wonderful artwork was created by Thomas Neugebauer.

System2 return with 006. Four tracks varying and covering all aspects of house music.

A1 - Wet Dog is an 808 inspired track with a deep groovy bassline with vocal cuts.
A2 - Old Fool with its chopped up bass stabs & open hats with a cool vocal hook
B1 - Esp brings a more sub bass & deeper vibe on this ep. Shakers panned from speaker to speaker & filled out with background sounds and chords
B2 - Tell Me is a tech house chugger with relentless bassline filtering in and out. Great mainroom peak timer with a French house vibe

'Heavy & analogue house cuts inspired by old detroit/techno tapes. Processed through a Reel2Reel tape to reach some more warmness from its natural saturation and distortion'

Its time to head west and Denver is our picked destination to continue with our planetary scouting of talent, this time with two already friends of the house. Vedic & Jaceo have a great history of outstanding releases and we are proud at OFF to have hosted their inmense collaboration with Pleasurekraft "Chloroformd", which stayed on top of the charts for many weeks and certainly left us craving for more. They return now with an amazing EP filled with dancefloor flavor and mesmerizing beats.

"Wrangler" builds up over a housy drum groove and all around a sexy female vocal, its all about the drive here, everything flows perfectly into the mix never allowing the tension to come down. On the flipside "Muse" has a more percussive approach with a big tech-house infuence, r&b vocals and a great pad and string work making it into another intense trip.

OFFSPIN keeps growing strong with a force of its own and every step ahead is another set of essential tools for your dancing pleasure.

'Marc Poppcke' is a name synonymous with melodic, uplifting productions, a true DJ's DJ with a deep love of four-to-the-floor electronic music, charming dance floors with his well-versed and impeccable track selections.

2015 marks not one, but several milestones for the Berlin resident, celebrating a solid 15 years behind the decks, 10 years since making the move to the clubbing capital of the world to pursue his passion, and turning the bright, young age of 35. With these in mind, Marc reflects on what has been an incredible career with the release of his first artist album, simply titled
'35'.

With a string of successful releases under his belt, both on his own label 'Crossfrontier Audio', as well as Sudbeat, Last Night On Earth, Freerange, and Get Physical to name a few,
the message behind '35' is simple: an album showcasing the different moods and moments of a club night, where warm up tracks tease and build toward pumping peak time floor fillers,
holding for a while before gently easing into after hour delights.

For Marc, this album is more than just a selection of club tracks, but a true labour of passion and love, a deeply personal project that pays tribute to all the events that have lead him to this very moment.

Mega-Hypnotic & Killer Classic House - Absolutely Essential! Summer is coming!!!

Synkro delivered his superb debut album 'Changes' last year and has now hand picked four of his favourite producers to remix tracks and they have all seriously delivered the goods.
Sven Weiseman provides a 13 minute remix of 'Your Heart' that starts as an ambient track and mutates into a gentle deep house groove. Legowelt does what he does best and reimagines 'Changes' as an analogue Detroit house jam - check those strings!
Synkro has released on DBridge's Exit label and he's remixed him before so he was another natural choice. His remix of the vocal tune 'Body Close' featuring Lyves is classic Dbridge.
Helios (aka Keith Kenniff) is a huge inspiration to Synkro and he's taken one of the album favourites 'Midnight Sun' and blissed it out even more which we didn't think was possible

Deep Site Vinylized return with a special 4 track V/A release for those late summer parties, Marc Cotterell opens thing up with the organ-powered garage infected Sunset Vibes. Synthesizer solos dominate the view while subtle Rhodes and B-3 phrases meander in the funky framework.Next up welcoming an old deep house favourite from Glasgow Calum Walker of Fresh and Low delivering the beautifully understated String Theory which builds like a cinematic theme tailor made for dance floors.
Synths pulses and dramatic themes intermingle with subtle string lines laying boldly within driving rhythms.
The flip side brings a return to Deep Site for Addex who comes on smooth and strong with Blazing, utilizing solid drums and bubbling percussive edges. The synth pads build slowly in juxtaposition with the cloud stabs and analogue melodic flourishes.
Closing with Erotic Soul from Even Furtuna featuring The Writers Poet is a Chicago deep styled gem with its gorgeously stated poetry flowing through a bed of bass, organ, and builds.
The main infectious riff plays well off of the verse breaks. Enjoy!

ac$ (aka AARON CARLSON) drops this 4 track EP of deep, Detroit tinged house hybrids featuring two tracks mixed by OSUNLADE (at his studio in Greece). His release on the now defunct Portland label STARBASS and his own TRACK 29 imprint have been well received and sought after. Hand stamped with DL.

ac$ has been secretly busy, amassing synths, and exploring improvised jams in his basement in the Parkrose section of Portland. For a time, these loose, exploratory sessions brought in many a wandering musician. These sounds from ac$ where heard by OSUNLADE, who at this point was residing in Greece. Through conversation, a meeting of minds, which led to ac$ making a pilgrimage to the isles, and in return led to several sessions yet to be heard. The mixdowns on this release are the first taste.
These first results of ac$ sessions with OSUNLADE in Greece have brought together dance music and free improvisation. The result at times strikes one of the spirit of CAPTAIN BEEFHEART ala “CANDY CORN”, in that the elements slowly swirl together, with elements wandering in and out, like that of a musician entering and exiting the room, yet the ingenuity and drive of the rhythm track keeps things in a consistent, catchy framework.

Julio Bashmore today premieres brand new track "Rhythm of Auld". Like recent single "Simple Love", it's set to feature on Bashmore's forthcoming debut album which is due for release in February on his own Broadwalk label. "Rhythm of Auld" is another brilliant collaboration with vocalist J'Danna (who also featured on "Simple Love") and is the second 12' in a series of vinyl releases Bashmore will put out in the run up to the album.

Yoruba Records is proud to welcome Kevin Reynolds to the family with his latest release 'Fembehyahget'. A student of Detroit's early underground techno scene, Kevin delivers a line-up of transcontinental sound rhythms through the lens of this seasoned producer. Kevin's finely tuned engineer ear and his masterful DJ touch come together to offer listeners an exploratory journey from the mind of a student of all genres of music.
The first track, 'Dodging a Clip', is reminiscent of NYC break-beat loops, with a signature Kraftwerk robotic soul, a combination that points to Reynold's Midwest education where German electronic music, Motown soul, and Chicago house contributed to the sound fabric of the 1980s and 1990s Detroit. Up next is title track 'Fembehyahget', a monstrous tune that pulls us in deep with a soul clap scattered strategically throughout the song. Its electro acoustic sound is accentuated by samples of traditional African vocalists and the call and response nature of her accompanying choir. 'Travelled' is a down-tempo jam with brilliantly placed Bossa Nova vocals. Hints of new wave synths hold the track in place and help it to transcend time. Finally we close out with 'Vibe Samba', an infectious syncopated jam that leaves plenty of space between the beats for imagination on the dance floor. This EP delivers quality compositions that push up against any and all notions of musical borders, and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we have bringing it to you.

The mysterious Trevor Deep Jr is proud to announce the release of a 2x12" project on their own HPTY label. Featuring seven tracks and coming on limited vinyl as well as 50 copies on Cassette tape, it is a further testament to his skill of crafting deeply emotive sounds.

Inspired by seats like Larry Heard and Moodymann, Trevor Deep Jr has been releasing their own smoky brandon deep house since 2011. It has come on labels like Delsin and Nysde as well as his own outlet and often features a striking sample or memorable chord.

Following their recent release on the One Records VA, core family members Yamen & EDA are the next offering on the label with the 'Temporis EP'. The sophisticated EP offers four dance floor tracks journeying through mesmerising grooves, intricate percussions and quirky sound effects. 'We are very happy to return on One Records, it's really like a family. Adam
and Ash believe in our music and we really feel being part of a crew. That's why it's always special to release on One.' - Yamen & EDA Having first become part of the label back in 2012 as part of a VA, French duo Yamen & EDA have since been an integral part of One Records with their EP 'Planet Brooklyn' and a remix of Acid Mondays plus a debut gig at fabric as part of a One Records showcase. Over the past few years the pair have been hard at work in the studio refining their style and becoming more confident in their production and DJ gigs. Their release last year on Early Dub and this latest offering on One demonstrates
this clearly, which has gained them support from the likes of Appolonia and Raresh amongst many.

Ben Sun returns to Delusions for his 4th release on the label including three more tracks which show the Australian via London on his best form yet. Full Moon kicks off the Tides EP at full throttle with a muscular conga-led disco house roller. Slurping 909 hats and the most twisted of synth solos courtesy of regular collaborator Fantastic Man (and his beloved Juno 60) provide the icing on this simple bass-cake which never fails to energize the dancefloor in the most special of ways.
Star Ritual drops next, going heavy on the percussion once again for a minimal stripped back drum tool which packs a mighty punch. Dubbed out vocal hits punctuate the beautifully loose groove with subtle hints of afrobeat implied by the bassline making for a warm summer track dripping with tropical vibes.
Finally we have Glass Waves bringing the EP to a glorious close, all chiming synths, bouncing moog bass and waves of chords layering on top of a heavy drum track. Ben repping an early 90's blissed out Nu Groove mood on this one and managing to sound as fresh as ever in the process.

The Kachiri Remix EP features a varied selection from some of the finest. Kicking off with Tronik Youth who takes the title track and reboots into a harder darker groove, pushing the synths to breaking point. Man Power ignites a fire on the dancefloor with real bass and spacey chords. Ivan Smagghe creates an off kilter eclectic groove with a different energy. Jamie Patton dubs out Pink Ghost with a twisted and warped groove that takes it to a new cosmos. Whilst, Kasper Bjorke takes us down to the sea with his love vibes and tropical rework of Volupia. Craig Bratley adds his dark synths and toughened grooves for late night dance floors. Two Mamarrachos lead us on an epic 11 minute journey with their massive Pink Ghost funk groove.

That Delroy keeps bringing it... absolute fire again from L.A. TIP!

Released on Damian Lazarus highly acclaimed Crosstown Rebels imprint 'Valor' tells a deeply personal narrative for Chilean born and Berlin based producer / DJ Dinky, her sixth album acts as a pinnacle to her steadfast and illustrious career and brought on a momentous change to her personal journey.
Esteemed for her work on labels such as Cocoon, Ostgut Ton ,Traum, Wagon Repair, Horizontal and Visionquest, and DJ residency at Berlin's infamous Panorama Bar for over a decade, Dinky AKA Alejandra Iglesias is a trained classical guitarist, singer and keyboard player. Her voice is an anchor to 'Valor', it's crisp definition loaded with intensity.
Tracks such as the driving single 'Casa' called out by US giants NPR for its 'gorgeously layered vocals' and the fragile layers of guitar and synths on cuts like 'Milk' make bold unions between sublime house and techno electronics and Dinky's live instrumentation.

"I want them to hate me for putting this out" says Jackmaster Hater, referring to tracks once possessed by a mere handful of Chicago House DJs. These recordings, traded secretly on tape, were exclusive to the likes of Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles.

Here is the new compilation by Jerome Derradji with Kevin Starke, aka the infamous Jackmaster Hater and owner of Kstarke Records in Chicago. It is one of the sickest slice of Chicago House Music ever released.

This compilation features ultra rare and lost Chicago classics paired with a nice selection of newer tracks produced by Jackmaster Hater and his friends, all nicely laid out on a DCD and 2 DLPs. The DLPs come with a killer poster and the DCD features a booklet about Kstarke records and Kevin Starke and a few more surprises.

It includes rare tracks by Ron Hardy, James "Jack Rabbit" Martin, Terrence Woodard, Traxmen and many more.

This is the real sound of Chicago.

nice groove stuff from switzerland !!

Listen to this if you like Max Graef, Boo Williams or anything on Chiwax, Atjazz, Detroit Swindle or Fantastic Man.

We're really happy to get Andy on Heist after his successful collab with his buddy Max Graef on the Jungle EP back in 2013.

He delivers a great 4-track EP that ranges from the synth-arp love affair of 'The same for me', to the heavily sampled disco jam 'Epsilon girls.' Check out 'Hermano' and 'Merkin' for a dreamy old school Chicago vibe, both done with a great sense of history and an added touch Andy's modern production and sampling skills.

Sincerely yours,

Lars & Maarten

Late March will see Unclear Records release the 'Stella' EP from label-founder Elia Perrone & Gigi Masin, accompanied by a Juju & Jordash Remix!

Arezzo, Italy born artist Elia Perrone launched the imprint in 2011 with his 'Beginning' EP and since the label has gone to release works from the likes of Rick Wade, Roman Fluegel, Baby Ford and Oliver Deutschmann. Here we see Elia return to his Unclear imprint via a collaboration with Venetian producer Gigi Masin, notably known for his ambient works which he's been releasing since 1986. The original mix of title track 'Stella' kicks off the release and sees Elia and Gigi deliver a engaging slice of ethereal ambience via expansive atmospherics, swelling strings lines and muted percussion hits. 'Garden Blues' follows and sees the duo fuse reverse reverb sweeps, enchanting strings melodies and soaring vocal murmurs with glitching percussion and bubbling synth licks. Opening the latter half of the release is Juju & Jordash's take on 'Stella' and in typical fashion from the duo we're treated to raw drums, multi-layered snaking melodies and a general dynamic and lo-fi feel throughout the compositions baroquely evolving eight minutes. Niro Perrone then rounds off the
package with his 'Niro Love Mum Remix' of 'Garden Blues', delivering a more straight 4/4 interpretation with jazzy percussion and intricately chopped snippets of the original parts re-constructed with an
infectious swing.

Somewhere in between De la Soul, Max Graef and Terrence Parker lives Georgi Barrel. This mini album is a musical paradigm representing our definition of 2015 club music.
Infos about Artist & Record Georgi Barrel is a highly creative genius producer from Kassel, Germany. In 2014 we first time took notice of him - and were instantly excited. His highly distinctive, very relaxed and boogie-influenced style is pure joy. From wonky De-La-Soul-Grooves up to smashing Ugly-Drums like Disco Edits: On this album Georgi is traveling through the undiscovered no man's land between House, Hiphop and Disco - the result is a masterpiece that definitely holds a candle to Glenn Astro's Throwback or Max Graef's Rivers of the Red Planet.

'In The Beginning' is the inaugural release of Romanian vinylonly imprint We Play Wax

artist Lar Pavel, 'In The Beginning' is already making a buzz. Out on the first day of summer on heavyweight 180gram black vinyl!

the label say"Producer and boss of Mathematics records, Chicago's Jamal Moss a.k.a Hieroglyphic Being is a one-off musical explorer. Jamal's music takes cues from the EBM and House that played a huge part in the city's musical underground in the late eighties and early nineties, notably Ron Hardy and Adonis, but also Industrial, Avant-Jazz and Noise.

His tireless schedule of rough low-key releases over the last 12 years and his intense, very physical, psychedelic music, have made him a key exponent or maybe even a pioneer of what's recently come to be named 'Outsider House', although he prefers the more Sun-Ra like descriptors of 'Rhythmic Cubism' and 'Cosmic Be-Bop'.

His releases, much like his music, have straddled House labels and the more leftfield avant garde electronic imprints with ease. However his deeply held Afrofuturist intent and the discipline of his radical designs set him apart from the pack. Always moving forward, his music is an ever-evolving transmission from his mind to our bodies, or as he sees it, a form of meditation that the supple, tuned listener will enjoy immensely."

The third instalment for Nightime drama returns with Infinite Loops presenting something special again with his non conformist sound. The title track Dirt, a what could become a staple in the dub techno world. A mission in a sandstorm.. Espionage in the desert.. Moody, driven with gritty stabs and textures surrounded with experimental atmospheric elements. Deep and dubby, a real masterpiece and a must have track! If you loved NTD001 then you will find persiflage takes it to the next level of what you would call the Infinite Loops hypnotic groove. Beautiful, sparse, unpredictable chords that hide and jump out backed with driving beats! Both tracks complimenting each other on this high quality release topped off with mastering by the brilliant Stefan Betke (aka-Pole).

Käse Kool's fourth vinyl release comes from no other than the Breslau-based producer, Jacob B. A relatively new face to the scene, Jacob B has emerged rather quickly and is building quite the foundation around his name. The Breslau Cuts Ep delivers nothing short of powerhouse techno that brings a raw energy of its own to any dance floor. This heavy piece of wax should not be take lightly by any means--blessing you 4 tracks that will undeniably go off when played. A1, entitled The Weapon, is a pushy tune driven by sheer 909 rawness and that legendary DX7 bass we have come to love on many of Jacob's tracks. A2, appropriately titled "From the Underground (JMF's Fatty Rub), remixed by the English producer, JMF. Keeping up with the energy of this release, A2 brings a tech-like jack vibe to the table. B1, entitled From The Underground, is the original mix from which JMF reworked on side A. This track brings a tougher, darker vibe to the mix with a strong bass and steady pumping 909 riffs. B2, Warehouse Stomp, doesn't fall shy of its name. This tune is as ruff n' tuff as they come, from start to finish this track will keep the energy high and leave its listeners hungry for more.
no repress!

Third vinyl release on Frole with James Barnsley from Leeds. "Want To Be" is a deep house track with strong vibe and catchy vocal. Including fantastic mixes from the legendary Chez Damier and the Italian Samann (Traxx Underground).

Italy's Katal who delivers three hypnotizing house tracks with British producer TIJN providing a remix.

Katal may be a newcomer but his accolades are continually impressive having released on the likes of Oblack, Isgud, Downhill Music and Roush. His next outing sees him arrive on Blind Vision Records for the imprint's second release following on from an exceptional debut from Juliche Hernandez.

Soft synths, intricate percussion and a lively bassline combine to form a low-slung groove in 'Diamond' before TIJN, who's released on Isgud, Overall Music, Decay and his own imprint In Haus Wax, then remolds the track by stripping it back and emphasizing ebbing pads and a composite rhythm. 'Room 201' is a mesmerizing affair featuring distorted samples, crunchy rimshots and deep chords before 'Transmission' concludes the package with syncopated drums and ethereal tones.

The aptly-titled 'Raw Materials' sees Marquis Hawkes making a welcome return to the primitive house rhythms for which he became known via his early work for Dixon Avenue Basement Jams.

· Highly influenced by house originators Ron Hardy, Gene Hunt and Roy Davis Jr, 'Raw Materials' updates the form with modern production techniques whilst preserving its authenticity.

· The title track eases us in, with dreamy vocals, dusty pads and deep 808 beats. The flip, however, takes no prisoners with two cuts of raw drum machine clatter and strained vocal cuts on ''Ave That' and primal analogue tones on 'Jerk U Later': deadly dancefloor destroyers designed to drill straight to your core.

· Cut to 140g vinyl by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering with Houndstooth printed inners.
