Introducing the Russian duo Yuri Usachev & Anton Melikhov aka Yourayo.

Autoreply offshoot Stuga Musik welcomes back Apoena, who hails from Porto Alegre, capital of the Rio Grande Do Sul state in southern Brazil. His first 12" for Stuga Musik - Falando Serio - was championed by the likes of Baby Ford, Willie Graff and Jus-Ed among others, the latter proceeding to release the self-titled Apoena album on his own Underground Quality imprint earlier this year. As an accomplished musician of many instruments and nationally renowned reggae artist it's no surprise he knows a thing or two about making a killer record. Here he steps up with "Mover", a warm, hypnotic floor-workout that references the early pioneers and is equally suited to peak time or early morning play. On the flip "Cooler" displays layer upon layer of colorful emotion whilst showcasing the artists love for vintage keys and analogue synthesis. Enjoy.

THE SOUND OF BELGIUM - THE COMPILATION = A sonic journey through 4 decades of wonderful and weird music that marked the spirits and minds of the 72hours partypeople tribe we call "The Belgians". A soundtrack compiled of atmospheres and emotions that sum up the soul and the essence of a country and a golden era in sound. Showcasing modern dancemusic's roots in Belgian danceculture with a crossection of eclectic, innovating or just plain hard hitting dancetracks. This IS the Sound Of Belgium...

Richie Hawtin's triumphant return to the stage as Plastikman in 2010 proved that his best-known alias is as innovative and as relevant as ever. Hawtin has taken Plastikman's most classic material, originally released between 1993 and 2003, and reworked it for a truly live performance accompanied by mind-bending, synchronized visuals-a sound and light show like no other, one that collapses the distance between present-day festivals and the uncompromisingly underground warehouse parties of the mid '90s.

Scandalo Music, the exquisite label from São Paulo (Brazil), is back with another 12" from the city most emblematic DJ, Carlos Capslock (aka Paulo Tessuto). Carlos Capslock has an eclectic style which has gone through various tastes and is also the name of one of the best parties in São Paulo right now. The party mottos start from socio-politic themes distorting them with extreme sarcasm. Visual performances, artistic interventions, eclectic DJ's and weird places all come together to make Capslock the most complete party in São Paulo, in which you will find the most Babel-ish public open to renewed Dionysian experiences. Carlos Capslock delivers his first 12" full of eastern creamy sounds and atmospheres. The narghile harmony and the xerazade curves reflect on the excited gypsy mourning of Mystery Nights. A spark flashes on the serpent eyes and a smile reveals its razor tongue. The moon phases pass by in the rhythm of the beat, every 4/4, bewitched. DaDa Attack, the circuit bending specialist producer, de-construct in fragments the eastern samples, distorting the bass, turning the track into a more robotic theme leaving the moorish spirit in the first level. Psilosamples gives a fresh sound with its remix, bringing jazzy dissonances remaining from the african experimentalism of 60's and 70's. Finally, Rotciv synthesisers throw us straight into a Egyptian retro-futurism with its roots in Detroit Techno.

Detroit & Berlin collide when Covio & Argenis Brito cook up a sultry funk bomb. Summery synths pulsate over crunchy claps, signaling the mothership has landed. Olin strips down "Turkey" to the bare essentials, creating a new alloy

"Burning" is the album debut cut from "The Pleasure Principle", a brooding, mid tempo 118BPM track where uniquely programmed vocals add broad brushstrokes ofcolour and texture to T's masterful creation. Nick Maurer, former frontman of Chicago's iconic Greens Keepers is no stranger to being at the fore of jacking dancefloor fare, and his vocals light up "Burning" accordingly.

Having featured prominently on the High Sheen label, Glaswegian duo Mia Dora graduate to the Moda Black label with Clear. Anthemic bass flecked house music at it's finest, "Clear" is accompanied by remixes from the legend DJ T and Moda founders Jaymo & Andy George.

Woodsmen & Lady Log is back with the third release. Omar Santis follows up his fine first release with this deep, sensitive and bouncy record. It's quality all the way. Big up.

An album by Roman Flügel is always a sensation. That holds true for his countless monikers and collaborations as it does for his 2011 Dial debut Fatty Folders. Being the first of its kind under his civic name, the long over-due association of Hamburg's cerebral label and its group of off-centre house and techno individuals with Frankfurt's favorite electronic music producer for the thinking man and woman, proved to be a seminal one.

Now, that sort of Happiness Is Happening again. Roman Flügel's follow up on Dial takes off, where Fatty Folders landed: on a runway that acknowledges the roots of house and techno as well as its fruits, but leads to a different location. Exempt from the burden that a concept album can lay on its author, Flügel seems not to be concerned with the current trends, retro fashion or a pre-conceived topic. Free-wheeling and with a freshness akin to morning dew, he rather takes us by the hand and through ten tracks that sometimes feel like songs without a voice.

Having said that, the strongest point of Happiness Is Happening is that it has a voice. The voice of a maker who is not afraid to mix joy and pain, ambient textures with remnants dance floor euphoria, quiet spaces and loud places. So you have an almost Depeche-Mode-like ballad that the "Friendship Song" is, next to the techno city ghost story of "Occult Levitation". Slow-motion robot disco ("Wilkie") appears as much at home here as the bulky "Stuffy" or the sudden impact in "We Have A Nice Life". That list goes on and on. The most startling fact about Roman Flügel's tour de force is that its sum is as great as its parts. Nothing feels superfluous, ill-paced or forced here. Its a condensate of a life that has been spent in techno, house and its various mutations and archetypes with a sensibility for pop music, a consciousness of indie culture and an affinity for the avant-garde as such.

Happiness Is Happening is like a concept album without a concept. A testament to the fact that the concept of an album that works within the realms and boundaries of "electronic (dance) music" can be so much more than a loose collection of 12-inches or just an exercise in style: it can be, after all, a piece of art and at its best comparable to a successful singer-songwriter album without words. Especially, when the creator of all his seems to be truly comfortable with himself and at his best. Then, Happiness Is Happening, indeed. GERD JANSON

Visionquest launch a new vinyl only offshoot in 2014, with Visionquest Special Editions. The first release is a remix EP of tracks from burgeoning singer songwriter and composer Quilla AKA Anna Luisa Daigneault from Montreal. The original version of these tracks will feature on Quilla's debut album 'Beautiful Hybrid' which will be released later this year on Ritual Fire Records.

Quilla was a featured on Sultan & Ned Shepard's house anthem 'Walls', which was released on Tiesto's Club Life Miami Vol. 2. Quilla's other successful collaborations include the uplifting anthem 'Alive' on Armada and she has forthcoming releases on Revealed and Black Hole Recordings.

Featured here are three innovative remixes of the original tracks. Ricardo Villalobos and Shaun Reeves have a produced a superb exotically hypnotic contextual take on 'A Million Broken Bikes', languid and louche this charmingly evocative remix is simply stunning. On the flip Mirko Loko also remixes 'A Million Broken Bikes' producing a undulating, celebratory, suitably tribal salute to the sunrise. Finally Craig Richards warps 'Time Travel Spies' into an esoteric half step off-kilter beast of a remix!

This is the first of three remix projects with Quilla that will be released on Visionquest Special Editions this year. Please note these will be vinyl only and a limited pressing. Forthcoming releases feature remixes by Matthew Herbert, Agoria, Ryan Crosson, Wareika and Terje Bakke.

Spectral Empire prove once again that they're some of the deepest producers working today. The UK duo—George Thompson (aka Black Merlin) and Kyle Martin (half of Land Of Light)—make their Nuearth Kitchen debut with two tracks of stunning depth and range.'Goloko Dhama' is one of those obsessive, white-knuckle pieces that seem too short, even at nearly nine minutes. It begins with muted, throbbing Native American tribal beats and an artfully cacophonous and warped metallic tone splatter. A disorienting, bass-y oscillation pulsates throughout the track like a forehead vein of an Olympic weightlifter, and with each passing minute Spectral Empire increase the music's strangeness and intensity. A stellar example of spy-thriller disco, 'Goloko Dhama' induces an exhilarating paranoia not unlike that created in Can's epic 'Mother Sky'; it keeps you moving while forcing you to look apprehensively over your shoulder.

Limited Marbled Violett Vinyl Pressing!
The new release by Nuearth Kitchen features remixes by Dj SPRINKLES as well as JUJU & JORDASH.

Not much is known about Lithuania's Corbie besides that he's classically trained, composes music for children's theater productions, and avoids plug-ins and samples. He solicited Nuearth Kitchen with demos and impressed us enough to merit a 12-inch single containing two tracks remixed from his unreleased e.motion.s album by two of the world's most slyly subversive house producers: DJ Sprinkles (Terre Thaemlitz) and Juju & Jordash.

The original 'Arktika' is a fantasia of lush, romantic synth washes and suavely understated beats that could've come off Roxy Music's Avalon. The tone is richly decadent. 'Sprinkles' Deeperama' reconfigures it into an even more libidinous and elegant tribal-house excursion. This version repeatedly thrusts itself into your mind and musculature with earthy yet debonair insistence. The track's effervescence never falters over its 12 minutes.

Nick Nikolov - Come Down Bulgarian producer Nick Nikolov is one half of the Duo - Surrealism ' and as solo - artist a fresh new talent on Liebe*Detail, presenting his vinyl - debut with the warm, and soulful 'Come Down'.

Lee Gamble is a UK-based artist and electronic music producer with roots in the original jungle-techno and extreme computer music fields. In 2012 he released a couple of highly acclaimed records via PAN, 'Dutch Tvashar Plumes' and 'Diversions 1994-1996', that refracted dancefloor and home-listening dimensions into trippy new head-spaces which touched a raw nerve with ravers young and old(er). He's since expanded those records into live audio-visual performance with fellow CYRK collective founder Dave Gaskarth and continues monthly broad- casts of his NTS radio show. The 'Kuang' EP heralds the release of Gamble's keenly awaited 2nd LP 'KOCH' (due September '14) with three tracks of dissociative ambient/techno. 'Kali Wave' opens with a bittersweet breakbeat roller sounding something like early AGCG playing in a hall of mirrors, whereas 'Mimas Skank' diffuses oily acid and dry dub techno inna dancefloor wormhole, and the detached ambient drift of 'Girl Drop' rends a gasp of post-rave bliss into twelve minutes of spectral sublime or precipitous dread, depending on your perspective.

Two House Limited is a Vinyl & digital label based in Copenhagen Denmark Focussing on House musik, and with limited pressing worldwide

Alan Backdrop's first EP on Enklav014. The third physical release for the italian label with Salko. Buried vaguely melodic ambiance grows and expands in the most surpising fashions within rigid structures.
Side A comes with two tracks whose spine consists in upright, inflexible rhythmic phrases. While an atmosphere of echoing undefined notes that unfold onto the main pattern of Ch-x, the muddy, obscure bassline and the driving pulsation of Dp3 form an elastic cohesion, whose tension is released and dropped at crucial times in the most subtle and gentle way.

On the B side, Meamb carries on with uprising stabbed chords through a less conventional rhythm leading the main theme, and Snit has a dark and distant sound with ever progressing percussions which rumble and float around a straight and decise beat. Ending Salko is a fast paced astounding combination of soft, evaporating but tight cymbals upon a one chord theme, led by a merciless sharp, stinging kickdrum.

After a storming winter, Edu Imbernon kicks of 2011 with a new release on his successful label Eklektisch. The young artist teams up on his new release with rising star David August and the melodic techno purist Dosem.

Lawrence la Doux with a new release that explores dance music possibilities further.
Four house- and techno-inspired dancefloor tracks from Lawrence La Doux, a Brussels producer who has released under various aliases over the years.  Keywords here are Sun, Acid, Mellow, Kick, Distortion, Bounce.

Over the years the man now known as Lawrence La Doux has assumed a variety of artistic monikers - Sun OK Papi KO, Jacuzzi Notebook, rbdx - and been a part of various bands - The Fan Club Orchestra, Mouche Man, Baleine 3000. As La Doux he first emerged a few years back, as Sun Papa & Lawrence Le Doux, with a sound that moulds club tropes like so much plastic material. What you thought you knew wasn't quite what you thought you were getting. A bit like the man himself, his sound isn't what it necessarily first appears to be.

He returns in 2014 with Terrestre, a four-track 12" EP for Vlek that further explores dance music possibilities from the comfort of anonymity, shaping styles until the distortion he forces upon them passes from the uncomfortable to the pleasant.

With the track "Time Machine", DJ and producer Michael Nielebock provided us with a fantastic debut on our Deep Circus label. His first success came for the Berlin resident with the track "Pure Visions" on the Treibstoff label, which entered the charts and the record cases of many international DJs.
His productions all are characterized by a driving groove, mixed with spherical elements, strings and synth-sounds. With "Time Machine" he also managed to bring this mixture to perfection in cooperation with his studio buddy Leevey, thus creating a track which will make the day and caress the ears of many outdoor dancers this summer.
The second track on the EP is a wonderful remix by Burak Sar aka SIS, who recently released his second album "Confidance" on his label Cocolino. The SIS remix stays close to the original track, but reduces the spherical sounds and puts a greater focus on the basses, resulting in a great piece with a lot of deepness. Nice!
Enjoy

BIG NEW DANCEFLOOR TUNE BY THE LOVELY RICH VOM DORF. A MUST HAVE FOR THE FESTIVAL SEASON !!!

Following on from their room-crushing, latin-afro-infused El Matematico EP on Katermukke in 2013, seasoned veterans returns Holger Zilske and Kai Preussner (aka Smash TV) return to Tiefschwarz's consistently exceptional Souvenir label and get down to business with three brawny, burning-hot grooves infused with their signature flavour on 'Robogeisha.' An undoubtedly familiar name to any followers of dance music from the past 10 years, Smash TV have amassed an extensive repertoire of releases on various house and techno labels and rubbed elbows with some of the biggest names including Miss Kittin, Raz Ohara, Daso, Richard Davis, Dave DK, and remixed the likes of Claude Von Stroke, Kiki, Adam Freeland, Toktok and Marco Resmann. Oscillating between smooth and rugged, techno and house, dubby and in-your-face, Smash TV's assured and organic style has earned the enthusiastic support of legendary producers and DJs alike. 'Robogeisha' brings their hybrid of sounds back once again, combining thumping kicks, cosmic stabs, stuttering percussion and Geisha vocal samples all into the one pot. 'Fluffer' directs its attention straight at the dance floor with a no-nonsense, head-down stomp. Final track, 'I Won't' brings equal destruction with pitched down samples pinned down by tight percussion, and a wandering bassline that won't let you stay still for long.

Steffen Baumann & Stefan Hollaender got the inspiration for that track from The Shant of an unknown shaman. The hypnoticvocals and the massiv bassline make the track to an bombsomewhere between deep-house & tech-house !! a great release on the amused label (sis, nick curly, ...) !!! great !!!

The title track for Schallbox015 is delivered by none other than label boss Steve Cole himself. With a driving groove, playfully set chords and vocals by "Her Majesty's Sound" (aka Alexander Friedrich), the original version asks every dancer for the "Last Dance". Or then, is this just the beginning The cast of remixers, consisting of René Bourgeois & Dan Caster, as well as The Glitz, lines up in perfect sequence and will again set every dance floor on fire!
