Andreas Henneberg - Mountain (Album 2013) - Montain' ist sein erstes Solo-Album und beinhaltet gleich 18 Titel, beeinflusst durch die Erfahrungen aus mehr als 17 Jahren elektronischer Tanzmusik. Andreas kann man bereits seit Mitte der 90er Jahre als Produzent, Label-Betreiber, Mastering Engineer und natürlich Dj finden. Obwohl Er in Berlin wohnt, dort geboren und aufgewachsen ist, sind seine Titel nicht durch den typischen Berlin-Minimal & House Stil geprägt. Schrill modulierende und oszillierende Synthesizer schrauben sich durch das gesamte Album von Titel zu Titel und bilden eine einheitliche Linie durch ganz verschiedene Genres. Tiefe, dynamische Bässe in Kombination mit gut durchdachter Groove-Programmierung und teils selbst gespieltem Schlagzeug, geben dem Album einen abwechslungsreichen Ansatz. Das finale Werk ist das Ergebnis aus 1,5 Jahren Studioarbeit, Produktion, Löschen, neu Arrangieren, live Tests, Hass und Liebe von einem riesen Haufen Musik der in dieser Zeit enstanden ist. Pünktlich zum 10 Jährigen Geburtstag seinem Labels 'Voltage Musique' wird nun das Album veröffentlicht, was einen großen Schritt für das Label und natürlich auch Andreas bedeutet.

Call it a new DJ Sprinkles album, call it a collection of his latest, most thrilling remixes - whatever you name it: - Queerifications & Ruins' is a close meeting of 14 tracks that will lift your spirits and you can do nothing about it!

They all bring different elements into a natural flow with DJ Sprinkles typical trippy sound signature: airy piano melodies, cool congas, echoed vocal samples, haunting chords, pounding basslines, some hidden melancholy, some poetic spoken words as well as soft beatless ambient parts for your relaxation.

Just recently Terre Thaemlitz - world-wide known and awarded writer, public speaker, multimedia producer, DJ, audio producer, and head honcho of the label Comatonse Recordings - released under his deep house alias DJ Sprinkles the mix cd - Where Dancefloors Stand Still' on Mule Musiq - a grooving house music critic on Japans strange fuzoku law that currently is threatening the Japanese clubs with a curfew.

Now he spreads some timeless spiritual grooves with a collection of his own productions based on originals by artists like Kuniyuki, Ducktails, Matt Tolfrey, or Hard Ton. They are all deep as house can be and their spirit is rooted in the uniqe lifestory of the American in Japan that was originally djing in the heydays of the gay clubs of midtown Manhattan and New Jersey in the late eigthies and early nineties - a time when deep house began to take air.

After the New York scene got world-wide famed and lost its family spirit he embarged to Japan where he held a three years residency at Tokyo's Club Module from 2003 till 2006.
In January 2009 he release his album - Midtown 120 Blues' that got hailed as one of the most essential house albums of the last few years and that been voted by the online electronic music magazine Residentadvisor as the best album of the year.

In all that time DJ Sprinkles, who's famous poet is Karl Marx and who loves to eat Cashew chicken in Southwest Missouri style, never thought much of trends and his own music didn't hook on to any Zeitgeist novelty. Instead he sticked to the soulful brand of New York house music to transform it with his own individual emotions into party music with soul that can not be put in a drawer.

Chasing Kurt, das sind Pascal Blanché, Wojtek Kutschke und Lukas Poloczek: zwei langjährige Deep House-Fans und ein einzelgängerischer Funk'n'Soul-Typ, den sie unterwegs aufgabelten. Alles begann in einer schicksalhaften Nacht in Gießen, wo die Jungs zu Hause sind. Wie die meisten zufälligen Rendezvous unserer Zeit geschah es in einer Bar: DJ legt bis tief in die Nacht auf und Barkeeper mixt, was das Zeug hält. Als für beide das Ende ihrer Schicht naht, wagt Barkeeper ein paar Gesangseinlagen. Das fällt DJ auf. Er lädt Barkeeper zu einer Jam-Session ein, im bescheidenen Studio eines Dritten. Barkeeper ist hocherfreut. House ist eigentlich nicht so sein Ding, aber er tritt seit Jahren auf und jammt, und so sagt er sofort zu. Das Ergebnis ist "Daydream", eine sanfte und doch satte, glutvolle kleine Ballade, die dabei so gut ist, dass für ihre Veröffentlichung ein brandneues Label gegründet wird. Es folgten verschiedene weitere Releases, die den Fokus auf Chasing Kurt lenkten. So wurde ihr Track "Money" von Maya Jane Coles für ihre DJ-Kicks-Mix-Compilation ausgewählt. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit hat das Trio mit Riesenschritten sein ganz eigenes Dance-Podest erklommen. As soon as 'Mosaik', Siriusmo´s debut album, got released in 2010, the studio works for the sophomore album have begun. Unfortunately the myth of the difficult second album did become reality and so the album changed it´s face again and again, got delayed various times, until finally at the beginning of 2013 Siriusmo was happy with what he had accomplished. After beat works for Snoop Dogg and an album collaboration with Boys Noize, Siriusmo now finally presents 'Enthusiast', his long anticipated second album due on Monkeytown Records.

'Enthusiast' features 13 songs ranging from neo disco house tunes, electro pop, cutting edge hip hop to UK bass inspired beat constructs and various electronic listening experiments. Multifaceted and eclectic as always Siriusmo knows how to satisfy high expectations without compromising his sound.

'High Together' Sure, why not, but not as a replica, but rather a continuous development. Stagnation is stasis.

To some 'Mosaik' felt less like an album but more like a compilation with its drastic jumps from genre to genre and its wild style all over the place attitude. To others that was exactly the quality of the record. Regardless which opinion you share, 'Enthusiast' combines the best of both worlds and makes for one of the most compelling offerings from Siriusmo in his more than a decade long recording career. The album still shows no signs of a one sided sound, but at the same time it is a more homogeneous and mature piece of work. 'Enthusiast' definitely bears the hallmarks of what we've come to expect from a great Siriusmo record.

'Freedom in my hand/ A pigeon on the roof' Diynamic Music's newest release, a full self-titled album by Stimming, once again shows why this label's artists are some of the most renowned in the music scene. Pacing through the snowy sand; white beaches that leave marks behind every step; Seagulls chirping, and suddenly a steady bass appears as waves crash onto the beach. A dream-like state begins, and as the beat sets in, you are lost in the sounds of Stimming. His new album was born in this very state of mind, on the beaches of the Baltic Sea, during a 5-week retreat from reality in the winter of 2012. 'Stimming' is like a story, told by the maker and his music. Even without a direct storyline, listening to the album will leave you drifting off into another world, filled with extravagant characters and thoughts, New Release Information blossoming ideas and suspenseful moments. The contrast of traditional and modern, of colorful yet sinister, of the classical but still unheard compositions is the main focus of this album. These controversies are reflected in the album cover as well: bright waves surrounded by dark skies, a beautiful and enchanting cherry blossom placed upon two black, headless pigeons, bringing together elements that are not intended to be combined. These pigeons are the main theme of the track 'Die Taube auf dem Dach', a track that brings across the hope and dream of freedom. 'Naked feet walking on sand/Gently senses awake' The album's 3rd track 'Ferdinand ft. Urzula Amen' delivers driving basses, Spanish guitar sounds and beautiful vocals by singer Urzula Amen, that emerge into multi layered harmonies, accompanied by enchanting synthesizer sounds.

This is the third release from two of the Panorama Bar's ever charismatic residents, Tama Sumo & Prosumer. Counting Pink Skull (Throne of Blood), Tiger & Woods, Danny Daze, Donato Dozzy, Azari and III, Erika (Ectomorph) amongst his musical admirers. Lentini's the genius janitor of techno. Solving complicated sound equations under the cover of darkness, he takes the findings to make tracks that bear a gritty resemblance to the now defunct Chinatown bus.

Honorary Rebel Mathew Johnson releases his third solo album on Crosstown
Rebels. His previous two solo albums on Wagon Repair and Itiswhatitis
succeeded in establishing Mathew as one of the leading lights in electronic music
today. This third album 'Her Blurry Pictures' does little to disappoint,
encompassing electronica, techno and elements of house in a deft array of
electronic craftsmanship. Mathew's sound in instantly recognizable, rhythmically
complex and a timeless fluid style that is unique to his productions.

Birdsmakingmachine brings us the second instalment of their recently launched Series with another four tracker of mysterious minimal house cuts that hook the listener with their constantly building beats, evolving grooves and melodies. While 'Wild Carrots' starts off the EP with a hypnotic yet musical journey through effect-laden rhythms, 'Lost Inside' follows as a stripped down groover with eerie melodies haunting the beat playfully. On the flip we find 'Nest Rocking', a juggling piece growing with percussions and ambient pads and lastly 'Recipients', an early inspired gem with an intricately funky bassline and electric organs.

"El Tercero" is the third of a series of EPs introducing Batongo, ranging from obscure deep to psychedelic disco.
Not much is to be known about Batongo, previously an active euro dance producer, released a bunch of hits in the nineties. 10 years ago, after a traumatic experience he escaped in Perù and retired from the music business, during this years, on his spare time he'd still make a lot of music, not meant for the public, just for himself. Now he is still in Perù, not willing to move back to Europe but barely broke, he sold us the rights on his entire collection of unreleased recordings with condition of not revealing his real identity.

Having already released four 12's of some of the highest quality electronic music around (Julio Bashmore's 'Au Seve' and 'Husk', Maddslinky's 'Compuphonic' and Velour's 'Speedway'), Julio Bashmore's own Broadwalk Records label is preparing for it's fifth release.
BW005EP sees Bashmore himself teaming up with fellow-Bristolian (via the Lake District) Kowton for the lead track on the EP, 'Mirror Song'. It's pure house - in its toughest and most direct form - and sees the two producers' trademark styles meeting firmly on the dancefloor.

South of Croydon raised Christian Sibthorpe (aka A1 Bassline) sent over a few things over the last 12 months that really had me paying attention. But it was Jessica (J. Phlip) ended up being the first one to drop "Falsehood" at the Spring dirtybird party in SF which pretty much sealed the deal. It just smashed the room to bits. Later on I met Christian in person when he helped me do a live radio show at Rinse FM in London along with Ben Westbeech and we agreed there that dirtybird would put these two tracks out.A1 claims to have been heavily influenced by early Metalheadz and you can really here it on these tunes. While "Buoyancy" is a smooth pulsing affair that really shines in the deeper mixes, "Falsehood" (which we are re-releasing from A1's Tighten Up label) really buries the hatched in your brain with bits and pieces of 808s, breaks and house hi-hats all forged together like hot iron.

Dabei gehen dem Multitalent ebenso versierte Gastmusiker zur Hand, die ihre Persönlichkeit und Virtuosität in den Dienst der etwas anderen Sache stellen:
Mit Star-Flötistin DOROTHEE OBERLINGER etwa ist regelrechter Klassik-Adel vertreten, aber auch der Gitarrist CHRISTIAN BUCK oder die Harfespielerin JANE BERTHE sind anerkannte Größen ihres jeweiligen Gebietes und sonst zu hören als begnadete Interpreten von Steve Reich oder Claude Debussy. Von Instrumentenseite wird ebenfalls Verblüffendes vermeldet, z.B. die Verwendung eines seltenen DDR-Tasteninstruments namens 'Weltmeister Basset' für Kaito's 'Everlasting', das hypnotische Raunen eines alten Studio-Harmoniums auf Closer Musik's 'One Two Three (No Gravity)' und die epische Wucht des im Kölner Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum befindlichen Gamelanorchesters 'Kyai Sabda', welches für Voigt & Voigt's 'Gong Audio' zum Einsatz kam.

Kompakt's Waffe der Wahl war zumeist die gerade Bassdrum, ihre minimalistische Schönheit unsere Dialektik. Doch strenge Diskurshüter eines imaginierten Grals, das wollten wir nie sein und das hat auch Gregor erkannt, der jedem der ausgewählten Track eine neue Stimme gibt, um neue Geschichten erzählen zu können. So stellt er mit überraschend umformulierten Akustikversionen, etwa von Jürgen Paapes 'Triumph' (für präpariertes Klavier), Justus Köhnckes 'Was Ist Musik' (für Streichquartett) oder Closer Musik's 'Maria' (für Klavier) gewagte Behauptungen auf, zieht unerwartete Schlüsse und schafft es doch jedes Mal wieder des Pudels ursprünglichen Kern - die Melodie, die Hookline, das Gefühl - in neuem Glanz erstrahlen zu lassen.

With the Fractal EP, we proudly present you the first co-production of the chilean artist Aldo Cadiz and the spanish Oscar Barila on our label Deep Circus!
Both artists have a history of successful releases and projects, on labels such as Kling Klong, Bondage, Viva Music, Plastic City, Einmaleins and many more. A few months ago, the single Reconst by Aldo Cadiz was released on the Loco Dice label Desolat. Oscar Barila, born in Valencia, should also be well-known through his successful work as A&R of his own label My Little Dog. In 2012, he released his album Parallel Minds on Plastic City.
With the original tracks on the Fractal EP, Aldo and Oscar provide us with a harmonious, groovy piece of work, merging the sounds of Deep House and Tech House. Italian artist Alex Costa provided the original track with even more power in his interpretation and made it a peaktime burner. The second song Menisko was remixed by Raphael Dincsoy and Pierre Deutschmann and became a dark techno track in their edit. Enjoy!

Frole Records presents the second vinyl release, this time a producer from the Netherlands. Detache is a young producer influenced by Detroit, deep house and modern techno. 'U010011' is the typical Detroit track with an undoubted feeling to it. Featuring a dubby atmosphere, playfull synths & dreamy pads. The remixes are made by Anonym (Sushitech) and Francesco Bonora (Abstract Theory) & Mirko (Etichetta Nera) who are staying in this dreamy realm. The track is made at a lakeside which is portrait by the artwork. 'Valley of Shadows' is a deep track that is characterized by the dub sound from Berlin. A solid tune full of deep chords and pads that transcends the mind.
