Forth in the Hot Waves compilation series kick's off the new year in style with this eight track vinyl double pack with some hot, hot licks! The Hot Creations offshoot has gone from strength to strength and this Hot Waves volume does little to disappoint.
The A side features Leed's legend Buckley combing with Ives St. Ange on vocals to produce the most infectious slice of genre defying hip-house you'll this year, ridiculously hooky you'll be humming it until summer.. woot woot! Buckley shares the A side with house stalwarts Simon Baker and Rob James as they combine with England Brooks to deliver a slice of hot house pie best served straight up... no chaser!
On the flip and hot on the heels of the huge 'Pain 'n' Love' EP released on Hot Creations early in 2012, HNQO team up with Bip for the hotly anticipated 'City Lights'. Already highly sought after and heavily championed this is another sure-fire hit from Henrique. Next up is house hero Lil Mark, previous recording for Classic and Disco 45, Mark delivers an ice cold a slice of killer house. 'Fate & Destiny' is a truly timeless piece of house that is simply devastating on the floor!
The C Side witnesses another house legend; Filthy Rich deliver the monstrous 'Do It Again'. Rich has been releasing records since the mid 90's and this is testament to his skills as a producer, proper chi-town business. Also featured on this side is Jamie Jones edit of Alexis Raphael's 'Rave'. Another huge record that will have you jacking like a maniac, proper rave!
Finally the forth side of this salubrious double pack features LA Based band Human Life teaming up with Anabel England who sang on Lee Foss's recent Electricity track with MK. 'Falling' is an emotive electronic torch song with Anabel's stupendous voice. Finally Tom Ruijg produces a dirty jacking, break beat colossus of a track, 'S For Sticky' is another absolute killer to round off this fantastic double pack.

Terrific house EP from the B-Tracks other half - moody, soulful, raw, catchy, bumping and elastic.

Toby Tobias joins the D.O.G crew for release no. 29 and fits like the proverbial
glove with an incredible EP which truly lives up to its name. Its probably fair to
say that Toby is one of the unsung heroes of the UK scene having played a pivotal
part in developing the underground disco scene of the late noughties. His Late
Night Audio parties alongside releases on Rekids, Lets Play House, Nang and
Quintessentials speak volumes as to the mans skills and fastidious nature and
here he delivers what wed be so bold as to say his best work yet with the
Pathfinder EP.

The title track kicks off and instantly you know youre in for a joyous ride with the
rawest house-not-house beats, p-funk bass and echoing stabs. Toby has a way of
mixing up the sounds and vibes to bring a fresh and original sound but with plenty
of depth and drive. Next up Fabrizio Mammarella gets stuck into Pathfinder
reworking the original into a slightly straighter, bass-heavy monster of a track which
keeps the dubbed out chords but totally wreaks havoc on the bottom end when the
bassline drops.

Flipping over were treated to the slower paced Backbeat which builds around
floating chords, chopped vocals and a boogie-inspired bassline. A true Balearic
beauty!

Finally we have a stunning little number called Abregon which completely defies
categorization but manages to successfully fuse elements of jazz, fusion, hi life and
house into a brilliantly quirky track which we challenge you not to want to do some
freaky-deaky dance to.

We're super stoked to have this killer EP out on Local Talk as we've been big fans of both C.R.S.T. and Chesus productions for good while now.
As these guys are down with both house music and the UK Garage scene we get served an EP that combines the best of both styles. The result is a jacked up house release that would work equally well at the classic New Jersey Zanzibar club or in your dirty London basement club. The first three tracks (Monster Munch, Newark and Life) takes us on a deep and jackin' house trip with a bouncy garage twist.
But to stir things up a lil' extra the last track (Special) goes all disco with some soulful philly samples...perfect for the Southport Weekender crews!

London producer George FitzGerald follows up Silhouette, his 2011 debut on Will
Saul's imprint Aus Music with a four track EP entitled Child. With past releases on
Hotflush and his own imprint, ManMakeMusic, his productions combine the lush,
melodic sides of house and garage with the more intense, jacking rhythms of
dubstep and techno. His second EP for Aus fully explores the 4/4 end of his
production spectrum to devastating effect with four tracks that are all designed with
the peak time dance floor in mind.

Following a fantastic response to their debut release SEAGHDHA press on with the second in the series
A DO continues the theme of stripped back and raw warehouse business, but broadens the scope and skilfully introduces a brighter sonic palette Lead track 'Always' conjurs up fond memories of vintage Matthew Herbert, while 'One 2 Three' on the flip has a killer modern UK vibe, before 'Round The Clock' finishes us off with a driving, 7am Berghain beauty Each release will be strictly limited to 300 - Vinyl only

So here it is...and it's been a long time coming: Metrobox makes his full debut on WPH. After collaborating vocals on last year's 'Red D Meets Vol 1' Metrobox has been working hard to create an E.P. that is totally WPH. And boy has he delivered!
'Juno 11' is one of those tracks you can play anywhere, anytime, anyplace: sultry, seductive, powerful and with a melody that sticks in your head instantly. More of that with 'Ode To WPH', Metrobox' own celebration of our label, and the very first part-Dutch lyrics on WPH. An attitude we can only commend! Beware: vocals can be addictive...
Talking about addictive, when we heard the remix our Japanese WPH connection Humandrone did of 'Ode Aan WPH'...we were hooked, and we stay hooked even after playing it endlessly. Listen to it, and share our anticipation for the upcoming full E.P. by Humandrone on WPH... But back to Metrobox, who rounds off his label debut with 'Live The Dream', another winner in the wake of E.P. opener 'Juno 11'. A killer melody, subdued vocals and a groove that...won't stop Welcome home Metrobox!

The Italian SLOK consider himself more a great pasta chef than an underground contemporary electronic music artist...by the way, he had big influence on the italian Breakbeat, Drum'n'Bass and Jungle scene with his two debut albums 'They Call it Jungle' and 'Freak 2000', both produced for the renowned Irma Records. After a natural change to electronic and 'Personal House Music' beats and sounds in 2006, the international club hit 'Lonely Child', released with the collaboration of Satoshi Tomiie & Hector Romero's SAW Recordings label (Defmix Production), boosted his musical career quickly. His discography also includes releases and remixes on hi profile records labels like Get Physical Music, My Favorite Robot, Circle Music, ONE Records, Turbo, OM, Harthouse, Plastic Fantastic (Stereonova), Futic Tokyo and many more. He currently runs on his own imprint Electronic Petz, a structure created for support brand new talented electronic music minds. In 2010 he released two different albums: 'RAIN', on Alex Flatner's label Circle Music Germany, and 'The Fat Pasta Grooves' on Electronic Petz. After an intense studio work and sounds research, the year 2012 promises to be full of new collaborations including the release of a new artist album and a Live Set.

Suol is proudly introducing: Meggy! Having this girl become part of our Suol family is a huge deal for us. If you haven't heard of her until now, you must have been living under a rock on the far side of the moon. And if you have heard of her - and especially heard her sing, you must be as excited as we are by now. We're on the edge of our seats.
Meggy has teamed up with Chopstick & Johnjon to produce some absolute beauties for her "Hide 4 Love" EP on Suol. Her amazing, distinctive voice finally gets the stage it deserves. "Anything You Can" has already been tried and tested on the dancefloors of the world and came back with the predicates "highly valuable", "precious" and "dancefloor bombing". The title track of the EP, "Hide 4 Love" is more of a slow jam - an emotional showcase of Meggy's talent to connect with the listener on an intimate level. The B1 features Chopstick & Johnjon, and the three of them are one hell of a team! "Curious" is a late night groover - clicking percussion, a brooding, pushing bassline and ecstatic piano chords, all accompanying Meggy's vocals perfectly.
But that's not all, folks: Fritz Kalkbrenner joined Meggy in the studio between releasing his album and starting his tour. A combination that instantly works. "Better" is the knot that ties all the strings of this release together. A wonderful slow Hip-Hop jam. Fritz's love for Soul and Hip Hop is an excellent match for Meggy's groovier side that she already brought to effect on her feature with Till Von Sein, "Get Over Yourself". The tune to round off the "Hide 4 Love" EP is one that you will find yourself coming back to again and again.
And still this release is just "the tip of the iceberg" that sounds so promising already. These tracks are surely the best way to spend your time until Meggy's full debut drops on Suol.

ManMakeMusic kick-off 2013 with their housiest offering to date from two new label artists, Natan H & Amy Jean. Natan H made his debut last year with Anton Zap's Ethereal Sound and on this occasion collaborates with longtime creative partner for an EP of bumping, unconventional house music. Title track, 'For Her', is a beast of unrivalled warmth working a deep and steady groove to perfection. On the flip, 'I Know' is a soulful disco-infused workout while 'Rush' takes aim squarely at the late night raver with its enveloping pads and low-slung bass line....

The low slung global funk of the original mix (featuring CARLOS SCORPIAO onvocals) still maintains a very Brazilian flair, followed up by a New Worlddrum & bass mix from ESL stalwarts THUNDERBALL. FORT KNOX FIVE turns up theparty vibe a few notches with their remix & dub on the flip! (FORT KNOX)

Following the red hot Detroit Swindle release this month, Freerange continue to bring fresh talent to the fore with the introduction of Nils Penner to the label. Although not exactly a newcomer (having produced the mighty Presence Of Another Man alongside Muder on his own Wazi Wazi Music as well as several remixes and appearances on Baalsaal and Moodmusic) it's fair to say he's been flying under the radar and we think it's about time that all changed.

New slightly off season various artist release from WPH, Belgium!
the label say"After last year's summer special in the winter it looks like the calendar at WPH's HQ is up to par again... Luckily so is the music, as this edition of the Summer Special series focuses on three tracks that were about to get lost in the ever-growing jungle of digital only releases. But like a true Dr Livingstone Red D set out to find these babies a home on vinyl, so here we are!
The A-side is a complete Arto Mwambe affair, with the Offenbach boys giving their house meets bliss treatment to Armagnac's 'Curve' first. Released on French digital outlet All Naked Records, Arto and his Mwambes do what they do best: house music full of melody and surprise, with some disco & boogie influences lurking in the mix. The second track is their remix of Viadrina's 'Better', digitally released on Pets Recordings and now in all its melodic glory ready to be banged by quality-seeking house DJ's worldwide.
A WPH release without any San Soda input Not a chance! Our boy wonder made a remix last year for Barck & Prommer, one that got released on vinyl. But he also made another remix that never saw the light of day for reasons unknown to people vaguely aware of what Belgian trance influences can do... Judge for yourself, and maybe recognize it, because this has been a staple in label boss Red D's sets for ages... "

What more appropriate artist could possibly be featured on the inaugural release from HAKT Recordings - the new label from dance music fixture Justin Miller, formerly of DFA Records - than DJ and producer Walter Jones Over the course of a career that began in the late '80s, Jones's impeccable sense of sound has led him to produce some of dance music's high water marks of the last decade - while his unflagging standards of quality control have made his own catalog a restrained display of taste and talent. With critically lauded output including 2009's 'Living Without Your Love' under his belt, Jones has become known among house music fans as a source of reliably great dance music. His latest output, the fantastic Utopiano Project, has a twofold effect: it both continues Jones's reputation as a discriminating music maker, and serves as a breathtaking launch pad for the new Miller's HAKT label.
The songs featured here are as varied as you might hope to find on a recording that still manages to move without a hitch through its four songs. 'Talk to Me' opens with a series of pulses like robo-ized choral singers emoting in tones, a clever play on the song's title. The track lifts into a beat-driven house round of dance floor ecstasy, complete with keys that glisten and a propulsive grind at the heart of it all. 'Made in Holland,' though as danceable as its predecessor, is less intense, with funk underpinnings and spaceship gurglings percolating their way through. 'Hands in the Sand' uses sun-bleached AM Gold (along with samba gleanings) as a blissful foundation for singer Aily's sweetly dreamy vocals. While the Lauer remix of the track, with its wistful synths in multi-rhythmic layers, drags the song away from the beach and places it firmly back on the dance floor.

It's 2012 and for our first release we turn to fellow country Finland and producer Deymare.
Getting into House & Techno in the early 90's, attending parties and buying records made it's mark and you can hear a strong influence in the music Tomas Björkman aka Deymare produces.
So far there's been a string of releases on labels like Morris Audio Citysport, Boe Recordings and Quintessentials to name but a few and now Local Talk can be added to that list.
His never-ending love for deep house, sprinkled with that jazzy flavour Mr Fingers would serve up, built around a simple yet dominant bassline, rattling hi-hats and lovely warm chord, it's all showcased here, soulfull and in no way cheesy.

The production is smooth, based on classic 4/4 rhythm patterns and deep, futuristic synth layers.

An EP that shows that the original house music blueprint refuses to age!
