British imprint Outcross Records return this autumn with 'The Passion Crimes' EP by Canadian producer Sean Roman of Hot Waves, Akbal and Strictly Rhythm fame, backed with a remix from label bosses Miguel Campbell & Matt Hughes aka MAM.
This release follows MAM's 'I Can Fly' EP, which saw support from Pete Tong on the title track during his Radio 1 show and was played by Miguel himself during his Radio 1 Essential Mix aired late August: its safe to say the Outcross crew are making big waves as of late. Here the label pushes forward with Toronto based Sean Roman, who's also been making substantial moves in the deep house and disco underground. Hotly tipped as one of Canada's prominent rising talents by Bubba and heavily supported by the likes of My Favorite Robot, Cera Alba and Richy Ahmed, its no surprise Roman's soul-laden disco cuts have found their way on to Jamie Jones and Lee Foss' reputable Hot Waves imprint among others.
'Passion Crimes' opens the release, a hypnotic slice of slo-mo disco, enraptured with warbling retro synths, subtle arps and soft sensual vocal chops, running alongside crunchy bit crushed drums building an intricate melodic depth, while a warm sub-bass wonderfully rounds off the groove.

Youngtee notched up his first big hitter earlier this year with his cheeky Ri Ri edit, a one-sided number stamped only with his name. We had it listed as REHAB1. The track quickly picked up heavy support from the Feel My Bicep boys, Deetron, Isa GT of Girlcore fame, Agnello and Jozif. After a summer of frequenting some of London's most popular and sought after nights, amongst them Rhythm Section and SOS, peddling his one-of-a-kind live show he set to work on this edit of the much loved and sadly departed singer Whitney Houston. Beginning with some of the news commentary surrounding her death the track is a tribute and a loving reminder of what she stood for musically.

Garben Eden aka Peter Uertz describes himself as a 'dancefloor inspired electronic musician'. No surprise then that his debut on Lampuka explores this environment but on both the lighter and darker sides of the 4:4 camp. Tracks are brimming with what are often experimental sounds, yet with solid grooves and production techniques throughout. Uertz has definitely honed his own recognisable quality and his live sets are keeping the toes tapping in his home city of Düsseldorf, but with recent releases on Anton Zap's Ethereal Sound (Russia) and US imprint Ectasy Records alongside Vakula on remix duties, Garben Eden is clearly crossing some musical borders.
As ever, Lampuka releases are limited hand stamped 12" pressings.

Enlightened Wax returns with a fistful of kick drums to the face and a whole load of crunchiness to boot. Part Analogue Cop, part Third Sider, part machine - the incomparable Marieu makes a return to his own label alongside Berlin's rising analogue fiend, Hinode who makes himself heard right from the start of A1, submerging us into a shuffling, funked-out frenzy of samples and ruthless percussion. The A2 is another brutal monster, where bursting toms, cascading synths and analogue rawness align to form an irresistible peak-time burner; but it's on the B1 that things turn really nasty - some seriously off-kilter percussion moulds seamlessly with gorgeous strings only to fall back apart into a winding bundle of slicing drums. Not much can be said about the B4, it's just a classic 'MG' (Marieu-Groove) bomb: dusty drums, shredded vocal samples and those jagged piano keys grinding their way into that seductive Enlightened Wax vibe. Marieu and Hinode packing some serious heat....Vinyl only for that extra punch!

A percussive house groove and hypnotic synth layers are the ingredients of - Skyrocket' by Hamburg City´s long time producer Marc Holste under his new moniker Markson. On the flipside Metrolux welcomes Naoki Shinohara, DJ and producer from Japan, who runs the Larry and Klass parties in Tokyo. The track title - Timeless' is dedicated to the club Timeless in Kagoshima and speaks music wise for itself with its classic groove and synths full of beautiful melancholy. XDB puts his musical influences together and rounds up this EP with - Cielop'

Maxmillion Dunbar - one half of DC dance captains Beautiful Swimmers - returns with Woo, the first single from his forthcoming album House of Woo.
Following a sturdy string of singles between 2011 and 2012 for L.I.E.S., Live at Robert Johnson, and Future Times (where Dunbar plays label don), Woo marks Max D's first release for RVNG Intl. and new dimensions to his production game.
The A-side, 'Woo', shimmers on its shell while whumping straight up the center on behind-the-beat bass blasts. 'Woo' works on a Function One just as well as it does a blown set of speakers at a house party gone woozy with punch drunk love.The Drift' writhes in the dance floor dust at the hand of a slap-happy snare charmer, bouncing along on an robotic bass line.
'Shampoo' is an analog bubble bath upon which a fragmented guitar Fripps and a Zummo-esque trumpet line floats.

B side is an unreleased remix by Derrick Carter, allegedly of KLF's "Madrugada Eterna." It's an opulent, sprawling 11 min opus, wanton & seductive. The A is a nice concise edit, allegedly by the PTA boys.

Label head Lee Foss calls upon No.1 American house producer MK to collaborate on this knock out release, featuring the stunning voice of L.A's Anabel Englund. On the flip Lee goes solo to deliver two solid tracks like only he can.
The high voltage 'Electricity' kicks things off with the sensational voice of Anabel Englund leading the way. The deep, slow grooves ride effortlessly through the track with a breath-taking break down filled with electric bolts and melodic synth keys.
'Goodnight Moon' is the second on offer from Lee and Marc and boasts a heavy bass, beautiful synths patterns and infectious groove. The atmosphere in the track is filled withlayers of intricate percussions and luscious melodies, while the interesting vocals make this really stand out from the rest.Over on the B-side Lee takes the reins with 'Could Be', effortlessly swarming the mind with soaring synths, soft R n'B style vocals and lo-slung driving bass lines, while the trippy keys are destined to hypnotize you on the dancefloor. Marc Minchen aka MK is an undeniable legend when it comes to house music. Not only has he been on the scene for over 20 years but he created a whole new sound with huge releases such as 'Burning' on Area 10 and 'Always feat. Alana' on Union City Recordings. The past few years have seen MK remix artists such as Ellie Goulding and Lana Del Ray with releases and remixes on high profiles labels including his huge remix of Amirali's 'Just An Illusion on the mighty Crosstown Rebels. His remix of the unforgettable 'Forward Motion' is also due to be released on Hot Creations next week, which is the reason Lee and Marc came to work together. Lee Foss, member of Hot Natured, is amongst those that pioneered the sound that's is dominating the electronic music scene today. There is no doubt that this collaboration would be one to shout about!

Welcome to 'Life', the first single from Kris Wadsworth's debut album, 'Life and Death'. While we don't want to spoil the album for you, we will say this: get your hands on this album as soon as you can. It's hot shit. Techno at its grittiest, vulgar in your face and best played loud. That's how we open an EP Single, with 'Girl Talk'; you've got all of this plus a deep vibe that will get your hips swinging faster than a hula-hoop. 'Definition Of' opens with an even nastier tone - very dirty and very warm. The level of production here is well beyond your average producer; Kris really drives his sound home in this track. The synths and underlying percussion feel funky at first, then blend together and create such a sweaty atmosphere. Opening the B-side, 'Gutter Pimp' takes things even deeper, and opens a can of bass, topped off with skanky vocal lines and a great example of how to use delay/loop effects. The track manages to keep a cool groove, while still working you up enough to shake your body. '666, the sign of the Devil and one of the best tracks of the album, a hidden gem, if you will. Most will probably over look this one, but its down tempo energy is awe inspiring, throwing out sounds of Satan himself. We highly recommend that you take a very close listen to this one.

Fresh on the trail of this year's exceptional long player 'Noir', Steve Bug returns with perhaps his most deep house-oriented track in a while - 'The Long Run'. Teaming up with US house legend Mr. V, who inititally donated vocals only, the collaboration brought up Mr V's own interpretation of Bug's track. This release is as delicious a serving of classic New York deep house as you will hear all year - or any year. The a-side is Dessous' main man at the controls, riding out a sumptuous, Rhodes-driven groove that references golden era Kerri Chandler and friends, but remains completely rooted in 2012. Mr V's spoken word vocal lays out the manifesto for these two house pioneers - both are committed to quality music, made with passion and respect. Flip this 12 and you get Mr. V's stunning take on the same track. Ratcheting up the percussive elements, the New York native injects hints of the Latin rhythms that define many of his productions, making this into a stone-cold club banger whatever the party. Both tracks come with corresponding instrumental versions for the DJs, rounding out this irresistible 12' that continues Dessous' outstanding run of releases this year.

After Tom Trago's 'Use Me Again' took dance floors across the world by a storm this summer, 'Rise Up' / 'Sky High' is his follow up single which should fire up the crowd during the winter.
Tom Trago and Cinnaman (local Amsterdam DJ) got together in the studio and out came 'Rise Up'. They somehow managed to mix freestyle, minimal, low-fi and bass together to create a cross-over house explosion. Based around a quirky bass line and vocal, the track keeps building until a catchy synth stab drops in which elevates the track to the next level.
'Sky High' sounds like a late night basement session, which is actually the case, recorded in the studio of the Serendeepity/Barking Dogs crew from milan, with San Proper and friends joining in on vocals. A bittersweet love song in which San yearns for a simultaneous high, which is backed up by a deep, silky house groove. A late night production made for late night entertainment. Comes as vocal dub and as original demo mix.
