The Hacker - Shockwave pays homage to the spirit of 90`s rave / nu beat / R&S and dutch techno and brings it right up to date to 2012.
Shockwave has the demonic stabs of T99 - Anasthasia and the energy of Human Resource - Dominator with the familiar energy flash call to the masses of `ecstacy, ecstacy`.

Mark Henning is back! Back on Cityfox! A classic acapella and Markís distinctive sound collide, result-
ing in a huge tune, sounding old school and fresh at the same time. Not just the vocals are telling a
story here, the synths and bassline add their part to complete the track. The second original 'Trojan' is
the secret weapon and club bomb, the dark side of the release, because too much sunshine is never
healthy ... Afrilounge take it a step deeper in their mixes. The 'Back2Basic' mix features the dynamic
they are famous for, the ëFM Dope Mixí (digital only!) and its big string melody sounds as clean as and
sparkles like the sunrise itself. The ë1998 Edití incorperates the rhythms and vibes of classic House
and Techno from the era when it all began. Thick, groovy basslines and pulsing pads laid out over
infectious percussion make this track an instant classic.

"Hypercolour's Losing Suki sublabel continues to impress in 2012, with Last Magpie's EP arguably even stronger than Jack Dixon's effort from earlier in the year. A quick scouring of the interweb turns up precious little about the producer's background, but a Soundcloud page reveals that he/she is "into making lot's sic of music and not sticking to anything that drag's [sic] me into a genre. If I like it I'll steal it!!!" If genre-sidestepping is one of the principal aims, a damn good job they've done too.

With more than a touch of bump & flex about it, "No More Stories" may be significantly darker in tone than its garage-dwelling cousins from the turn of the century, but it certainly follows a similar route. From the Game Boy-ish bleeps to the squeaky, lovelorn vocal, it superbly conveys a real sense of nostalgia, enhanced and made all the more emotional by a huge, rumbling bass drop straight out of the 2-step glory days.

Things get progressively housier but no less interesting over the course of the next three tracks. "U See" is enthusiastically bouncy and fast-paced with a crunchy lead line and loopy vocals, still maintaining a vague whiff of the 2-step flaunt but within a definite 4/4 structure. "Get You Thinkin" is dreamily waifish; a beautiful but indistinct stream of delicate elements, held down by a powerful sub. Wrapping things up is "Leeds Syndrome." Firm drums and a distant male vocal are all you have for company until some dubby, echoed stabs momentarily shed light on the increasingly dark path ahead."

Some Sense Into You It's impossible to sum up a career of DJ Sneak in few words, so we'll try with just couple of terms that might serve as a brief introduction to the world of the one of the scene's most vibrant DJs and producers: in 1992 DJ Sneak began recording music. He released some of house music defining tracks on Defiant, Henry Street Music, Relief, Cajual, 83 West, Downtown 161, Strictly Rhythm, Classic (...) to name a few. 20 years later he is still one of hardest working producers around, one of the most in demand DJ's, and as always a full time 'House Gangster". This summer he is responsible for a hard-hitting 4 track - EP which will be his debut on Desolat. Enjoy!

Artful Division is a new imprint from the UK's Midlands and it's debut release see's the legendary Rick Wade drop some heavyweight deep vibes in the form of Cooler Heads'. Jon Brooks (Jon Samwell & Will Brooks) and Cecil (Tom Fallon) are the DJs/Producers behind Artful Division and have been running parties of the same name in Leicester for just over a year, plying quality deep house in a city that surprisingly (to some) has more than a solid rep for it.

It seems these days you'll find Anthea (UK born and raised) more at home in the electronic capital Berlin. Once the girl to buy your records from at Phonica Records in London, now you'll find her doing A&R for the Berlin based label Brouqade and releasing on labels currently such as; Desolat, All Inn, One Records , Air London, and her now home label; Brouqade.

With some great releases under her belt on; Freak n Chic, Tuning Spork, Cecille Numbers, Phonica and Mojuba Records, you know that Anthea is a woman that knows her craft - with an emphasis on creating, not imitating. Those who have seen her at Fabric, Panorama, Ghoa Beach, Watergate, Harry Klein, Circoloco UK, Space Ibiza, and Underground Ibiza to name a few, know that she demonstrates sophistication and powerful energy behind the decks.
