Party Penthouse Playboys' a 4 track EP by Billy Ray de la Haye and Axis Ces53 Angelphase, both artists with over 25 years of musical expierience, this joint effort contains Electronic vocoder funk, Electro, Italo Boogie with a spark of Techno added in the mix. Inspired by sounds and instruments from the 80s and modern.

Answer Code Request picks up where he left off with his album (Code, Ostgut Ton, 2014) and 12 (Calm Down, MDR, 2015): With the Neume EP the Berghain resident offers three new tracks, meandering between restrained club contexts and brittle break beats, machinery and futurist soulfulness.

The eponymous track Neume' starts off on A with shuffling rhythms atop a heavy kick, soon caught up by first surging then predominant drone motifs, flashing bleeps and piercing strobe sounds.

Meta' on B1 clocks in instantly without any build-up: Its rhythm section sets the tone with broken beats while ACR slowly carves out more musical detail and textures: subtle command vocals from the machine room, swelling synth pads and other chilling, athmospheric means are subsequently being added until the track's break where the emphasis shifts towards the kick, pads and synth melodies until the track's sustained, smooth outro.

Vis' on B2 is the EP's most protruding track: classic UK Garage shuffle rhythms and Amen breaks are contrasted by a funky kick and dreamful pads, intertwined with additional sparse percusion, layered with what in the first instance sounds like chirping birds but then like sparking wires. Answer Code Request continues what he does best: combining the warm human touch with chilled alienated aesthetics.

Catz 'N Dogz are some of our oldest extended Dirtybird Family, spanning multiple EPs, a couple albums, some remixes, and we even presented their very first release as 'Catz N Dogz' as they transitioned from their old 3 Channels alias in 2007. It's been over 4 years since they've been on the label, and we're ecstatic to have them back with "The Feelings Factory"."Fine Feelings" features the legendary vocalist Robert Owens, and sounds like a classic deep house track from the late 90's when no one called it deep house, they just danced to it all night in warehouses.
"Factory Settings" includes additional production from London's Joseph Ashworth, and from the first note to the last its filled with driving intensity and an ascending cacophony of rhythms and voices. welcome back fellas, we missed you.

You don't really have to introduce Johannes Heil, do you~ For more than 15 years, he is an inherent part of the German Techno scene and with classics from the likes of "Paranoid Dancer" (Kanzleramt, 1998) or "Calling" (1999), he belongs to the long-term memory of Techno.

Pheek returns with a rare vinyl EP and makes a bold statement in dropping fresh new tunes that will please any adventurous DJs. While groovy, the tracks mark Pheek's usual, very intricate and bizarre but always reliable dancefloor material.

Next up on Sunday Money Music, Jonny White calls on his long-time friend and Detroit native in need of little introduction, Shaun Reeves.

On this 4 cut EP Reeves Teams up with Spanish Producer Pablo Marco to weave and construct a journey through those dark and murky moments of the morning, just as the sun begins to peak over the horizon.

Mark Reeve has made an impact in recent years releasing on some of the biggest labels in techno including Drumcode, Cocoon and Soma. He has remixed artists such as Extrawelt, Dusty Kid, Gary Beck and Arnaud Le Texier to name a few. Taster Peter has been rallying a lot of attention too from Adam Beyer, Dubfire, James Zabiela, 2000 and One to name a few.

This has seen him collaborate with other artists such as Florian Meindhl, Umek, Christian Fischer and Marco Bailey whilst DJing around Europe in places such as London, Berlin, Ibiza and Barcelona.

Mark Reeve starts the EP with his Tech House groover 'Move It', that uses repetitive percussion to create a hypnotic groove before entering into a vocal break down before effortlessly breaking back into a funky groove. Taster Peter's 'Set Your Noise' uses a low-end swelling to maximize the rhythm section of the track to bring out an engaging rhythm sprinkled with percussion and stabs layered onto the chunky beat.

The long awaited Couple Affair series returns to Steyoyoke in full glory. In this series, Soul Button, Clawz SG, BLANCAh, Nick Devon and JOBE tie in their craftsman skills to unveil this fascinating four track vinyl release.

'Implicit Bias' by Soul Button and Clawz SG opens the series with this masterful track. Deep bass lines meld with an infectious beat, while delicate melodies encourage wandering thoughts. Next, JOBE teams up with Soul Button paving way for the second track titled, 'Umar'. Gradually heating up, it invites on a journey through an abundance of progressive beats and synths, infused with melodic flares. Third track, 'Rasante" by BLANCAh and Nick Devon, captivates the listener with scenes of alien realms and peculiar but thoughtful orchestra of sounds. With the Mist there was always the kind of hocus pocus that twisted itself into a pocus hocus, a shenanigan or a hijinks so high it could not be jinxed, but it had to be jumped ... By a fish flown by a boy from out of town ... It was enough to make her giddy with happy.

After years of successful parties it's time for the Tropical Animals team to move on to the next phase. This time, it is Whitesquare (2020Vision - Freerange Rec) who will have his music pressed on wax for the brand new Florence-based label. The artist delivers In Light EP, which includes three mesmerising exclusive tracks: "Limitation", an incessant vortex with acid nuances, following "Velvet Room", a romantic melody driven by lush textures; at the end, we find "Pressing Point", a climax of primordial rhythms and synths. Fast forward to today and we got together again to put out this amazing rocket showcasing her latest work.
Recorded at club Lux in Lisbon in a Interzona13 effort on putting together the city's finest to wrap it with much talent in music engineering, design and poetry in one single object.

Keeping the concept of a tight knit family of artists, up next on Sol Asylum is the follow up EP for the Dilated Pupils titled Introducing Remi. This collective of likeminded artists from the Netherlands return to the label with a solid four-track EP that shows their range and diversity as producers.

Moving full speed ahead we start off with 'Remi at 21.16' a track that instantly hypnotizes you on the dance floor with its echoing harmonic synths and a complex metallic snare pattern. The track is a slow burner that explodes when the dirty analog kick, swinging bassline, and filtered percussion melt into an atomic fusion.

Next we take it to the next level with 'Do' its underwater bubbling percussion, bleeping stabs and eerie synth take us to the far off corners of space with just enough acid to keep our heads down and grooving to the strobe light in a dark room.

As we move into fall with 'October Times' a tightly woven groove and galloping kicks push us into more experimental territory with soaring vintage synths that create tension and finesse at the same time.

Finally we finishing things off with the esoteric vibes of 'Suque' this deep and dirty track channels the positive force from another realm, which is the perfect match for the inspiriting concept of Sol Asylum.

Following his R&S debut, Afriqua (aka Adam Longman Parker) presents Vice/Principle, his second release for the renowned Belgian label.

Recorded in the summer of 2017, Vice/Principle began as one of Afriqua's seasonal music packs, a quarterly offering of original tracks shared privately with a small cohort of friends and collaborators. R&S quickly picked up the collection, which expands on the melodicism and textural depth explored on his previous release for the label, Aleph.

The extended EP sees Parker veering into psychedelic territory, inspired by the cosmic departures of '70s krautrock and jazz. The title, Vice/Principle, more a coy bit of humor than a philosophical statement, reflects a wittiness that Parker often embeds into even the brawniest of his productions. This offbeatness is active in the music as well, which makes use of his voice, and edges past familiar four-on-the-floor patterns with interwoven polyrhythms and modality. Vice/Principle is confident in its curiosity, harnessing a wealth of artistic threads into a tightly knit, futuristic vision.

Parker currently resides in Berlin, Germany, where he works from his home studio in the city's quiet Charlottenburg neighborhood. Born and raised in Hampton, Virginia, Parker developed his craft as a producer while studying classical piano and practicing hip-hop turntablism from a young age.

After several years developing a hefty catalog of releases, Parker has embraced his R&S signing as an opportunity to dive deeper into his signature, yet versatile sound. His successful winter 2017 tour through the U.S. was a career first, and preceded international events at Comunité in Mexico, Concrete in Paris, and The Block in Tel Aviv.

"The Lights", the EP´s title track is a profound and complex story, never forcing itself upon the listener but gently picking him up in real sophisticated (production) manner. The second original track, "Blckout", is based upon a more repetitive structure. A deep male vocal, intertwining with a mystical synth-line and driving percussions gives this track its compelling energy. The B-Side of the release consists of two remixes by MYNY and Echonomist giving it both clubby structure and a beautiful-warm atmosphere.

Ljudverket celebrates the tenth release of the imprint with music by Rasmus Hedlund. Intet Efter Allt is the result of new explorations in the field of ambient, dub and techno. Crossing borders with electro and other genres, the tracks are still sonically faithful to the sound of Ljudverket - highly organic synthesis accompanied by field recordings. The record starts off like a journey through nature. The thunder and rain of Bas Emfas shifts to blue skies above shimmering water with Lumino¨s Klang. Continuing on the flip side with the cerebral jam Konflux Sekvens, the EP ends in the deep emotions of Sonisk Morgonsyn, to finish the trip

Sharif Laffrey can charm the snake out of any basket. This is his first offering for the ESP Institute. Side A's Tangier is a long drawn-out exercise, an endurance test of the highest order. Over the span of some thirteen minutes, elements bob and weave intermittently and layers overlap haphazardly—the type of exciting dynamic that's born out of restriction—as if putting down a live jam without enough hands to work the console, yet Sharif perseveres. As touch and go as this arrangement may be, there is something that undoubtedly glues it all in place; the combination of his massive rolling 16th-note bassline and his tough-as-nails drumkit is so good that, upon first listen, we spat out our tea and insisted on its release. On side B, Everything Is Nice carries on with loose arrangement, dirty production and layers of inexplicable spoken- word samples (a Sharif calling card by now) but this time we're lead to a melancholy place, the blue comedown to Side A's antagonistic trial. With his ESP Institute debut, Sharif leaves you mentally unhinged, as if you've smoked something interesting and arrived bewildered in some Saharan labyrinth. These two songs will guide you through the medina to score the black meat.

After a year of the creation of our label, we are very proud to present our new Various Artists composed of 4 great artists. On the A side Dimitri Monev provenent of East Europe (BG) creator of the event The NXT GEN, 2nd is Jerome.C (BE) supported by Tini & Fernando Costani, on the B Side Zano.p & Giusy S (CH) General manager of Act-Fact Records and BassNsmile and to finished Rawness (IT) creator of Dub label management.

Mr.G comes up with another addition to his Phoenix G catalog. This time long time friend Ben Sims does a splendid remix on the A side. Furthermore, Mr G drops a banging 12'' like always.

Secretsundaze one of London's most well known and best loved DJ duos have consistently followed their hearts not the hype. Their party of the same name is still standing tall after 16 years and as DJs they have played many of the best clubs worldwide. It's only in the last year that they have made it into the studio together having both produced previously separately. Giles as Two Armadillos with the much missed Martin Dawson and James alongside both Marco Antonio Spaventi and Dan Berkson.

'Still Hope' is their second single and the follow up to 'Motorway Jam' (their double A side with Palms Trax from late last year) which sees them collaborate with Anthony Anaxagorou, a British born Cypriot award winning poet and essayist, whose poetry and fiction have appeared on BBC Newsnight, BBC4, ITV and Vice. Hearing his lyrics via their good friend Simbad, Secretsundaze connected with Anthony and 'Still Hope' is the fruit of their labour.

The original is a potent and political spoken word piece delivered over a rolling house groove. Definitely one for the deeper moments with its late night heady feel and full vocal not letting up. The 'Poems in the Heart' floor version strips the vocal back and adds dramatic strings for a more direct dance floor approach.

Ex Slum Village Detroit producer Waajeed released a couple of killer EPs in 2017 on his own Dirt Tech Reck imprint so we had to get him aboard for the remix. His 'Detroit Hardcore Dub' does what is says on the tin and is a peak time slammer while his 'Searching Dub' goes down a jazzier, spacey route with live sounding drums and dreamy pads.

'We're very happy to be releasing our debut EP on Phonica Records, a store and label close to our hearts, having shopped there since day one and James also working behind the counter in the earlier days. We'll let Anthony's words do the talking but suffice to say, it's been a great experience and opportunity working with him and we're happy to be able to use our music as a platform to spread some positivity with the world, especially in it's current sorry state of affairs. After a brief time away from releasing music in 2017 to refresh his ears, essential house artist Argy is back with a bang in 2018, as this debut EP on Play It Say It proves.

Greek DJ and producer Argy has been a prolific talent over the last decade plus, releasing a variety of sounds under a number of different aliases. His given name has always been reserved for house and techno, which is classically informed but always infused with the sound of the future. It's come on key labels like Bedrock, BPitch, Ibadan, and most recently The Martinez Brothers' Cuttin' Headz imprint, and has spawned four fantastic full lengths. Those releases, along with his storytelling DJ sets, have made the These Days label boss a much loved and ever-present part of the global underground scene.

The excellent title track 'The Way of Kings' opens up the EP with seven standout minutes of surging house. Slick, powerful kicks drive it along as expertly crafted synths bring real drama and tension up top. It's a tasteful bit of hi-tech soul for the peak of the night and is as essential as the title suggests.

Switching up the mood is the vibrant 'Los Animales', which has a busier, afro tinged groove and tribal percussive energy. Lithe synths dart about to add dynamism and movement as vocal chants get you on your toes and the whole thing is sure to make a huge impact in the club.

Last of all, 'Move Like A Panther' featuring the New Yorker in Berlin, Elbee Bad, shows another side to Argy. It's a perfectly raw house cut with plenty of jacking Chicago spirit. The drums hit hard, the synths are trippy and the snares force you to move. Add in a dark bassline and spoken word mantras and you have a real piece of explosive club dynamite.

These are three typically inventive and well-executed tracks from Argy that are stuffed with original ideas.

For the 11th release 7777 presents the Ghost Miners Remixes. For these remixes I offered each producer samples from different songs from the 2 Ghost Miners records. Instead of doing straight forward remixes of a single song, I put forth the proposal for each artist to make their own version of a Ghost Miners song from scratch or using any samples they feel like. Contributors include 3 of my favorite producers. 2 in demand artists, FIT Siegel and Andreas Gehm and one new comer, Brian Thrash. Andreas Gehm's version is a standard acid Gehm gem. Calling in the chords from the originals mixed with standard Gehm acid brilliance. In FIT Siegel's version you'll find the perfect pure underground dance sound. Featuring Ray-7 on hand drums FIT constructs a remix that combines elements of classic Detroit and Chicago sound while keeping the attitude and acid aesthetic of the original material. On the B side Brian Thrash, controlling his analogue arsenal, takes you on an epic acid journey traversing through the underground and space. Thank you for your time. - Jared Wilson

L_cio DOC Records welcomes L_cio for a beautiful full-length album entitled 'Poema'.

L_cio is a Brazilian artist who brings his own flute playing to his music. He has previously collaborated with the likes of Portable on the huge hit 'Surrender' and is a live act who has held residencies at plenty of key clubs in Brazil. He's also toured all over the world from Egg London to Robert Johnson in Frankfurt and released on labels like Perlon, Soul Clap Records and D.Edge. His eight-track album is an emotive affair with deep house grooves embellished with his own spine tingling instrumentals and flute.

'Paqe' kicks things off with five minutes of springtime sounds and fluttering flutes that carry you off into clear blue skies. 'Canto' is more driving, with crisp drums and synth stabs all getting you into a groove. 'Forte' then drops into techno mood with powerful kicks and busy snares then 'Complet' re-sets with two minutes of blissful flute lead ambience that is utterly calming.

'Poema' is another beautiful interlude with floating synths and shimmering synths and 'Avante' brings back house drums with dramatic synths and icy hi hats. 'Canto2' again blesses you out with more exquisite flutes and some melancholic organ work and closer 'Lagoa' is a dreamy track with animal sounds, flutes and languid chords all encouraging you to get horizontal. .

Continuously growing serious followers, L_cio live performances and recent releases on DOC Records ('Chico Buarque Construção Revisited'; 'Vazio'; 'Traffic'; 'People Talk'; 'Schwantes'), will definitely secure a major place in the realm of electronic music.

New year, new release for Burnin Music. After 2 strong EPs in 2017 (Ponty Mython BM001 and Leonidas + Kay Suzuki BM002) Burnin Music first release of 2018 features the first EP of an up-and-coming British artist called Michael Iwatsu also featuring a remix by German producer, SoulPhiction. Fracture (Original mix) is a 10 mins long journey. A beautiful odyssey between beats and harmony, between intuitive dance floor and subtle emotions. The main piano brings a perfect balance to the stomping house kick & drum. And as the journey continues, the trip develops leading to more sonic ventures. Exciting, touching, pure, Fracture (Original Mix) is a very balanced track. On the flip side, house music master Soulphiction accomplishes the task to bring the track into a dark basement. His remix is a condensed version of everything that makes the original track an emotional one and also add a Detroit twist: it becomes a raw, moody and very intuitive sonic object.
