UK techno veteran Kirk Degiorgio takes on the Future/Past guise once more for an exquisite 4 tracker on the Belgian De:tuned label. Kirk struck gold during a recent dig through some of his old DAT tapes and unearthed 2 previously unreleased gems: a finished version of his widely acclaimed 90s classic 'Hyperspace' described by Kirk as the real Hyperspace and 'Cosmos', a rough uptempo percussive workout, proper crunch Future/Past sound.

The DAT tapes also revealed a couple of tracks that were only ever released on CD: 'TRY 2004 Funk Mix 2' (from the historic 1993 'Applied Rhythmic Technology' compilation) and 'Locator' (from the sublime 'Objets D'art 92-95' compilation). The CDs have become rare and wanted items, and so Kirk and De:tuned decided to finally press these tracks on wax.

All tracks were mastered straight off the original DAT tapes by Matt Colton to guarantee that extra crisp sound quality. This release will be available on 180 gr vinyl. A separate digital release will also be available from the usual digital shops. Stay tuned!

Never underestimate a quiet guy. Soft spoken and well-mannered Alexander Pletnev moved 3 years ago from the Russian city of St. Petersburg to the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. That has been more than enough time for him to make the city his own. A co-founder of a hip barber's shop that also hosts an improvised Vinyl second hand corner, not to mention a cozy little bar where he can be found serving a quirky selection of beers, Alex soon embraced influences filtered through the local nightlife institution 'Opium Club'. His production powerhouse Pletnev explores darker territories and far-out music lands untouched by his bright and melodic creative alter ego - Ponty Mython. The St. Bones EP follows his well received and strongly selling offerings on Meda Fury and Bahnsteig23. The EP's two tracks, of contrasting mood and tempo, are accompanied by two top drawer remixes from the Japanese tailor of sound and taste RYOTA OPP and on-the-rise fellow St. Petersburg producer and selector, Inga Mauer.

Prima Norsk 1-3 was a series of compilation CD's released on Beatservice Records in 2000, 2003 and 2005. "Prima Norsk" was a slogan for Norwegian vegetables back then, meaning something like "1st class Norwegian". First adopted to a club concept, and then re-adopted for the compilations series. The concept for these compilations was to collect and present house-tracks from Norwegian producers, available on more or less limited vinyl 12"-ers on various European labels (some self-released), and a few exclusive tracks.

Now, the Norwegian house scene is more alive than ever, and thanks to the digital revolution, the worldwide availability is far better than it was at the time of Prima Norsk 1-3. Prima Norsk 4 is thus focusing on exclusive tracks from the vibrating scene of today. The compilation includes exclusive material from artist already familiar on the international house scene, along with fresh stuff from new names.

Black Booby is back with the Mighty Jordan Fields from Chicago, IL and Richard Rogers, London, UK for BB-09 4 tracks of retro inspired, raw, stripped machine music.Jordan's A1 blaster is pure Gherkinesq analogue, mind melting, building mayhem, designed for dancing Richard Rogers Debut on BB gives A2 a Workshop vs Detroit styled Bass workout with subtle paperclip percussion bringing up the rear. Black Booby tears up the seminal Kenji Tsujisaka produced Shinobi coin op level music to new club dance floor heights on B1, B2. Secretsundaze's 021 comes in the shape of a 2 tracker from Endian. For those that don't know Endian is the house/techno alias of George Levings most famously known as Commix (Metalheadz). Endian was of course responsible for the huge 'Finish Me' on Secretsundaze in 2015 which was included on mixes by the likes of Joy Orbison, Tessela and Scuba.As Endian he has released first rate tracks on the likes of Non Plus, Electric Minds and Trevino's Birdie imprint.Global EP' his 2nd EP for the label see's Endian back in fine form. 'XS-10' is a futuristic, hypnotising burner that in the hands of the right DJ is sure to be a deadly weapon. On the flip title track 'Global' is a warmer, deeper free flowing track with musical flourishes that will keep the party moving.

After a somewhat productive break, Shadow Sanctuary boss Dexter Kane returns to the fold with a brand new 4
tracker. Boasting both a new direction and a new medium, SS0013 marks the start of a fresh chapter for the
imprint. Set to be the first in a string of vinyl only offerings, this release sets a precedent not only in format, but
also in style. There will be just 250 copies on this run, be sure not to sleep on it.

Due to thyphoon Dujuan, Move D and his friends Benoit Bouquin aka Initials B.B. & Marco Wollenberg were trapped in the studio for a few days, when David visited Taipei in 2015 to play Corner Club. All the flights to and from the island were cancelled during the storm, so the three had some extended studio- and red-wine sessions. Looking back from now- these were all worth it and the best thing that could happen- 3 hazy and timeless cuts from the eye of Dujuan. As always it comes with a stunning full-cover artwork from Stefan Marx. Just over a year ago Cassy embarked on her largest and most personal project yet, her debut solo album 'Donna', released on revered imprint AUS Music. Since then, Cassy has put out a string of remixes on Powerplant, Turbo, Echoe and Watergate, plus a track on Muna's latest VA. Throughout this period, Cassy has also been in the studio working on new material, the first of which to be released in September, and is titled 'Cassy 004'.

As the title infers, Cassy is reawakening her self-titled imprint she created in 2006, and has had three previous releases until now. With no plan or set schedule, the remit was simply to release her own records, when the time is right, and the quality is high. The music always reflected the quirkier side to Cassy's club tastes.

And 004 continue in this vein. It perfectly encapsulates the sleek and hypnotic sounds of the harder end of her DJ sets. The tracks are titled 'One' and 'Two', with Cassy giving 'One' a reshape to round off a trio of cuts aimed at the dancefloor.

This is the second release from London duo Dark Circles on their own DC Trax Label. The first release was given play on Radio 1's George Fitzgerald show and supported by the likes of Erol Alkan, Skream, Justin Robertson and Eric Duncan. Dc Trax 2 sees the first release given the remix treatment by an armoury of heavyweight remixers. Phantasy records' Kamera provides a tuff techno work out of Y, Emperor Machine takes inpiration from his old Bizarre Inc guise and making use of his old MPC, takes March back to the 90's raves. The Package is finished off by Lord of the Isles tripping out The Well in 2 strong remixes. This will be a limited vinyl release in February which has already earned a play on 2manydjs' Beats 1 radio show '2x2'.

Tia Maria Produções member DJ Lycox goes solo in a big way with debut album Sonhos & Pesadelos for the resoundingly influential Príncipe Discos label

It is now possible to see a big picture. This means there is a timeline with enough years and developments since this sound generically named Batida emerged on its own. Lycox is of course part of a newer generation that keeps adding to the sum, but he is already inspiring a younger set of producers. "Sonhos & Pesadelos" helps materialize a multiverse of bold, shiny chrome architecture, staying true to the original kuduro backbone while Lycox organizes new forms, song structures and even artificial life. If you can't call it "raw" it's only because this is mental space translated into sound. The physicality of the music is but one element in Lycox's ambitious take on dance music, although we should really say pop music, such is the melodic and harmonic forces at work. "Solteiro" could be just an ambient beauty but the abnormally long 4-minute mark reveals layers of masterful songcrafting well outside what some might still be tempted to classify as "ethnic". Not a classic seaside romance.

It feels like a long time since the last Contort Yourself, addiction will make time drag. Fear not, the peddlers of filth are back with a quintet of past profanity and new nastiness. Unknown Precept's Eindkrak serves up a grease dripping, ball bearing filled dish of Shawarma. After the entre comes a 90s treat. Kirlian Camera's Angelo Bergamini's side project with Celestino Pes under the name Andromeda Complex. Here the partnership offer the drums flailing beast that is The Servant (Extract), tongue lolling, eyes bulging techno brutalism from 1994. 4 sees GDL collide claps and low level bass line abuse as a thick haze gathers. On the flip. L.I.E.S. and Secret Studio scavengers, Circling Vultures are savagely Feasting on the Caucus of the Fallen Divine King before Bunker back row bully Klankman twists his knife into The Servant. Your latest dose of mean musical medicine has been served.

D&C (The Cyclist Remix) - Closing track D&C from FaltyDL's last album 'Heaven Is For Quitters' gets the full frontal workout from The Cyclist who turns the ambient album closer into a powerful stomping bass heavy remix. The shuffle reminds of old school FaltyDL productions with added up to date production techniques. Heavy.

Frigid Air (O'Flynn Remix) - O'Flynn lends his gentle touch reminiscent of Floating Points with a bubbly beautiful emotional workout of Frigid Air, Falty's album collaboration with Mike Paradinas.

Neeloon (Palms Trax Remix) - Dekmantel stalwart Palms Trax plays gentle and dance floor friendly with this suburb clean remix of Neeloon, a sci-fi escape soundtrack. Hands in the air, the four four bounce is festival ready.

Hunee, aka Hun Choi, is a Korean Berliner who has been drawn in music since a very young age. After working in record stores and studying musicology he resided in Amsterdam, where he released his debut album Hunch Music. As a DJ he has always followed 'a hunch', which gave him wings to communicate the music he loves with crowds all over the world. With Hunchin' All Night, Hunee expresses his relationship with the dance floor.

Two minds and hearts coalesced into an ocean of sound, the groundwork formed with over a decade of instinctive studio sessions, sweat-riddled DJ conferences, and shoulder-to-shoulder dance dos in clubs, pubs and dusty down under doofs. They've spent endless hours together at the bottom of salty oceans gazing up at alien aquatic life forms. For years they've shared synthesisers across continents, exchanged records, lived together, flown together and bleed together. "I'm going to try not to gush too much about the fact that 'Me Me Me' has Raj Pannu's first ever record, but you have to understand that he's DJ royalty to someone from where I come from.
From his residencies in Newcastle in the Early 90s, touring all over Europe, playing with the likes of Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova and James Lavelle to his move into turntablism in the late 90s playing one on one with DJ Craze, A-Trak and Q-Bert.
All the way up to the last decade and his time spent touring the world for 5 years as part of Coldcut, working with institutions like the BBC and Ninja Tune, and just generally being an absolutely mind bending DJ playing with people from all over the spectrum, such as Richie Hawtin, DJ Kentaro, Jamie Lidell, Kode9 and more....
and now he's decided to release his first record... With Us!
As you can imagine for someone with such a varied musical background, FSOP is hard to pin down. I played it to a friend and they said it sounded like Photek covering Pink Floyd, which is the closest approximation I've heard of it, I guess.
It's techno, but steppy, and super musical, and dark, but uplifting. Above all, it's just really special.I couldn't not give the record a full side to itself, and for the remix we've found the perfect pairing with an interpretation from Cosmin TRG (who I met at a festival, and who I instantly hit it off with after finding our shared love of Guiness and Sarcasm).
Cosmin chokes out all of the light with a cut of raw, skittering Paranoid Techno. Providing the ideal balance for both sides of the record.
Raj has also provided us with a Dub Mix which we're releasing as a digital exclusive.
The dub narrows the dancefloor focus, without losing the drama of the OG.
Reading this, you can probably tell how excited I am about this record."

This record, and the full 2XLP that will follow it, are dedicated to and inspired by events in 2015 & 2016, which saw the spectre of global crisis come knocking at Europe's doorstep.

During this time, more than a million migrants and refugees fled their homes in the Middle East, Northern Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and other conflict ravaged areas in search of a better life. For many, hopes of a future for themselves and their families lay in continental Europe.

While the reasons for such displacement, on a scale unseen in almost a century, are many, so are the reasons for Europe being seen as the ideal destination. The relative peace and calm of the continent and the prospect of building prosperous lives in Western Europe was enough to mobilize multitudes to embark on the treacherous journey to Europe.

One of the most well-trodden paths on this journey was the Balkan route, a trail leading through Turkey, Greece, and the former Yugoslavia. This route was not without its dangers, and the dreams of many were dashed by impassible security fences and discordant EU politics, as one by one they were turned away at borders, or worse, forcibly returned to their countries of origin.

Europa is the first single that represents the seed of discontent, from which the 2XLP grew. It was recorded during long jam sessions in Belgrade as the media spotlight started to dim. The city became the purgatorial destination for a large number of migrants, whose journeys had been cut short and this record reflects the atmosphere of disillusionment and uncertainty about the future, which descended on the Serbian capital.

There is not much more to say then this is one of the best records Innervisions ever put out. The future of house music comes with a unique sound!

Tel Aviv based two man project TV.OUT has been making a name for themselves these last years putting on impressive live sets, djing around the world, and running their Paralaxx imprint releasing various strains of rugged, well informed electronic music.

On their debut for L.I.E.S. we get a smoking three tracker spanning styles that would not seem out of the place being played on the West Coast of Den Hague in the late-90s. Think early Legowelt meets Coca Disco meeting heavier techno sounds as a starting point. Club gear for the gearheads.

R&S founder Renaat Vandepapeliere launches a new series RV Trax, to reflect the sound of his DJ sets.
Re-invigorated and inspired by contemporary dance floor sounds, after 30+ years as the label owner and figurehead Renaat succumbed to the temptation to finally, at the tender age of 60, try his own hand at rocking the crowd.
Renaat's sets have seen him assemble a treasure trove of unreleased music that will now find a very personal home on RV Trax. Emblazoned with the Belgian national colours of black, yellow and red these tracks proudly flaunt their 'floor-filling dynamics. The first, a dance floor stormer from Steve Legget, remixing fellow North Easterners Bird Of Paradise's original - a tight punchy workout that pairs distorted 909 kicks against a high tension string part and melancholic synth pads. G-Prod (AKA French brothers David and Nicolas Gaugain) provide a balmy, motor-city style number - shuffling drums underpin sunrise synth washes and euphoric melodies. Buenos Ayres' Hermetics provide a frostier mood with 'Collider' - chilly FM bells pinned against serrated percussion and swirling distortion.

Mysterious new outfit Glasstalk Records start as they mean to go on with their debut release, showcasing some heavy-hitting techno from Kettering via Leeds upstart, Wilhelm. At the ripe age of 21 and with only one release to his name prior to 38thParallel, this producer has already attracted a lot of support from a stellar cast of tastemakers including Bruce, Midland, Batu, Avalon Emerson, Tasker and A Made Up Sound as well as landing recent radio plays from the likes of Skream, B. Traits, Moxie, George Fitzgerald, Batu and Via Maris.

Wilhelm kicks off the EP with the haunting 'Our World.' This dancefloor heater is jam packed with frenetic percussion, overtly time-stretched whispers and ambient samples of mechanical scrapings. Next up is the title track of 38thParallel EP, a distinctly more off-kilter affair than its predecessor due to its quick-fire drum patterns. Rounding off the release is 'Assignment,' which was quite literally made as an assignment for the producer's university course! This slowed techno roller would be perfect as a set opener.

Andhim return to their spiritual home for the release of Rollercoaster. The aptly titled
EP showcases the many moods of Germany's finest bearded duo. A four-tracker that
ducks, dives and loops the loops it's way into super-house folk law.

Mr. Bass sees them join forces with fellow countrymen and label head honchos
Super Flu for a trademark banger that'll make 'Reeves' enthusiasts chomp at the bit!
Whilst title track Rollercoaster veers towards a slightly deeper, darker direction
primed for the late night Ibiza sessions ahead. Batu then takes it down a notch and
displays the diversity of the two-piece in a Penguin Café Orchestra tinged work out
and last but certainly not least Cloys sees the Andhim DNA shine through in a
slightly mind bending 4am roller.

Andhim have an incredible summer of festivals plays ahead, worldwide residencies at
Verboten, NYC, XOYO, London, Warung, Brazil and Watergate, Berlin to name a few
and an Ibiza diary to make any buddy DJ weak at the knees. Not to mention an
Essential Mix in June followed by Mixmag feature the following month.
