House Vinyl New Releases - News

Adam Beyer's Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno's number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn't fit in their regular EP release schedule. With an eye on future talent, as much as the label's established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode's multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional. Led by the stealth techno funk of 'Nine of You', Beyer's deft collaboration with Mark Reeve, the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Bart Skils, Pleasurekraft, Luca Agnelli, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco and Gary Beck. The rich vein of form displayed by emerging techno talent is similarly given prime position. Rising DJ/producer Boxia makes his Drumcode debut, fresh from a well-received warm up set for the crew at the hugely successful Junction 2 festival in London, while the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, Juan Sanchez, Ian O'Donovan and Timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016.Reinforcing the global scope of the label, artists such as The Junkies from Toronto and Layton Giordani from New York, prove techno is winning a place in the heart of the new generation of artists coming out of North America.

Material invites the UK don, Darius Syrossian and Hot Creation kingpin wAFF for a belter vinyl EP. Already played by BBC1.

Possblthings Records return with the debut single of Leipzig-based Milium. This record contains your blend of Lust & Angst, compiled for and dedicated to the club. "Addis Abeba" equals Side A - a collocation of groaning machines, bittersweet strings and seducing bass synths, defined with the aid of befriended producer Kator. Side B equals "Lord Stanley's Cup" - a cloudy hike into that weird place where EBM and Electro meet. Comes with inlay.

So this is the tune you've been hearing all summer in Ibiza. Many of the world's biggest djs have been playing it, it's had something like a million plays on Youtube and didn't even require a sponsored post on Facebook.

part 2 of 3 of the seq series

New Leipzig label Kontra's inaugural record presents a richly diverse collection of music that spans from world music infused house in the vein of many Sex Tags releases to break ridden, hard hitting, low-fi techno through to considered ambient music. Despite the variation Kontra is held together by a unifying underground style that every track shares. An excellent first release from a label that's sure to become a major underground player.

Audiotheque comes back to the imprint with three solo originals which will not leave you indifferent.

Harvey McKay has been making waves in the techno world with releases on Drumcode,
Cocoon, 8 Sided Dice, Soma and more. He has gained support across the globe as one of the hottest techno producers around which has seen him get lots of support from Adam Beyer on all of the most recent Drumcode Radio Live podcasts. As a Dj, Harvey has played some of the biggest clubs around the world and has an exceptional skill to read the crowd.

Harvey's highly anticipated single starts with the title track 'Lost' that comprises of a catchy
vocal hook and rhythmic synth stabs to set the mood. This is layered over a straight, serious
beat that has lots of energy and grit to make any speaker stack shake. 'Find My Mind' uses a mixture of reversed and straight hats to create a funky groove that is sprinkled with hypnoticsynth stabs and a mesmerising vocal.

After the succes of the first release, Instinct is back with the second release - vinyl only.

This EP brings together tracks that bookend Lee Norris' prolific career: two from 1998's sought-after Tidal Frequencies EP and two CD-only tracks from 2015's 'Soul Of The Machine' compilation. For fans, this is a welcome reminder of the sometimes visceral ('Instamatic'), sometimes weightless ('Fragile') but always deeply-felt sensation that Noriss' music continues to impress even on the most seasoned devotee. For new listeners, this is a comprehensive introduction to the career of a man whose sound has remained diverse yet cohesive over more than 15 LPs and twice as many 12's. 'Slowform' and 'Ride', both new cuts from last year's retrospective, show a dance floor progression that bodes well for his newest album, out in 2016.

Three residents of London's party Half Baked team up under their collective moniker Pap Inc' to bring the 7th instalment of Half Baked's record label.

Jumpmono Records is the brand new label from UK Techno brothers, Anti-Slam & W.E.A.P.O.N. After the growing success of their digital only label, Jumpstereo Records, it was only a matter of time before the brothers went back to their roots and created a label not only for the digital world but also heavily focused on vinyl. For the first release we happily welcome one of the finest producers of the past few years, Raul Mezcolanza, with his incredible track called Diagram. On remix duties we have super duo, Spektre, who bring a superb, harder Techno edge to the release. Etai Tarazi takes care of the second remix with a more stripped back and melodic approach that works perfectly across dance floors and label bosses, Anti-Slam & W.E.A.P.O.N. finish off the release with their usual energetic, groove driven style.

Red Axes have come a long way since the 2014's Ballad Of The Ice. Tel-Aviv, now a scene and sound that the duo were instrumental in putting on the map, has burst onto the world stage armed with limitless electronic bravado and the city's strong guitar music heritage. Now, the much loved duo return, sophomore album in tow on their own label Garzen Records.

Unique moments and significant experiences gleaned over the course of an exceptionally intense year left Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi with depths of inspiration for their new record. Throughout December 2016, the Axes worked in their Tel-Aviv studio, surrounded by their extended Garzen family - Abrão, Eylonzo Crotch, Gabriel Broid, Adi Bronicki, Thomass Jacksonn & Iñigo Vontier all feature - giving life to a new psychedelic cosmic adventure. The outcome, a 12 track album which invites listeners to The Beach Goths world.

Red Axes snake their way through genres and periods, clearing an unorthodox highway through conventions, nodding to the past, eyes on the future. Live drums, jangling guitars, fuzzed out synths and an all pervasive psychedelia emerge as the backbone of The Beach Goths. Opener Ride The Sus leads in with a nonchalant blues indebted bluster; Tarzan Blues and Relaxation (For Your Mind And Body) call halftime with a bow down to Dead Kennedys and Cramps era proto punk and rockabilly. While the Axes are quick to jam out exotic post-punk numbers, the land of The Beach Goths is a land of contrasts. The clubs are never far and the drum machines come out on prime time club ready chuggers Piper Work, Shir 1 and the album's first choice excerpt Tantram Power.
Dori and Niv's vocal chops feature heavily, standing out on the youthful, kaleidoscopic ballad Loosen and hippy trippy song What Is In Your Head.
Closing the album with a warm embrace, helped by Deaf Chonky's lead singer Adi Bronicki, on psychedelic ballad Into Your Arms.

The land of The Beach Goths is a land of contrasts.

A long-term legend of the Detroit scene, Rick Wade is presenting three deep and organic house cuts on Moody Records, written with the soul and finesse that has gained him the reputation as one of the most influential deep house producers. Liem & Eddie Ness infuse their Hamburg-House sound with the remix to Insensitive, while San Proper treats us with a suprise remix which is digitally available through the link etched to the record. Vital Sales Points: - Limited to 300, heavy vinyl

James Barnsley's imprint has reached considerable momentum so far with releases from himself, Scan Mode, DJ Honesty and DJ W!ld, not to mention remixes from Daze Maxim, Laura Jones and Burnski to name a few. In its fifth release Vessel sees the Leeds based label boss pair up with Irishman Gavin Herlihy, known for releasing on Leftroom and Apparel Music, under their newly launched Trackers moniker.
Hexagon paves the way forward with shuffling percussion, arpeggiated synths and mesmerising effects, before Memory Game delivers crunchy snares and dubby echoes.
Unison Wax and Beste Modus founder Diego Krause then takes his hand to 'Hexagon', creating a rhythmic rendition built on intricate drums and hypnotising atmospherics, until French duo S.M.A.L.L & PACO arrive under their Politics Of Dancing pseudonym to convert 'Memory Game' into a bass fuelled dancefloor workout.

The Drumcode A-Sides compilation is quickly becoming an important fixture within the techno world as a go to compilation for the hottest tracks. Mixing both highly experienced and new artists helps to bring a new dimension to the compilation that makes it such a special array of tracks. All tracks individual, their unique characters bring an outstanding and electrifying aspect to the compilation that as a whole makes it something extremely special. Part 1 features label boss Adam Beyer's Pluto, label mainstay Harvey McKay's The mad drummer & Dustin Zahn's Born Spark....

Following the rapturously received top ten album 'Our Love', which has dominated end-of-year lists, Caribou has revealed a gloriously layered remix of 'Your Love Will Set You Free' by the one and only Carl Craig.

Dan Snaith had this to say about the remix 'Carl Craig is a peerless remixer. I've dreamed of having him remix one of my tracks for ages. He was one of the first people to publicly mention how much he liked 'Swim' when it was released and we've been in touch since then. Before I'd gathered up the courage to ask him to remix a track on this album he got in touch and suggested it himself. The result is superlative and speaks for itself.'

Hot on the heels of both Save Me and the Robert Owens collab is the third instalment of the
WALK.MAN series. Big wide-eyed club womper 'Better Dayz' on the A and the subtler soul rolla 'Stay Away
From Music' on the flip. These go off. The WALK.MAN mixtape will be released in full on Cassette and Digital at the end of the
Summer.

The debut album from fast-rising Moscow-based producer Harry Light will celebrate
Robot Ranch's 10th release and anniversary, with the range of atmospheric out of space audio
structures and analogue deep house/techno flavors there's a lot of things to discover inside. "Coaster"
delivers stripped back deep techno grooves while "Trainspotting" explores the functional delights of
minimalistic sound. "Chapter I" draw the dub techno dancing realms and "Nights Before" finishing the
first vinyl with deep atmospheric vibes. Unpacking second vinyl you'll find "Dilemma" - more dark but
very functional dancefloor heater with deeper roller "Friday Night Affair" on the same side. The LP
headliner "Northern Lights" brings in with the raw techno palette heavily influenced by its garage sub
bass. Acid-house dancefloor tool and secret weapon "Right Moment" unleash the vinyl number two.
Happily, there is much to find and listen on the third vinyl. "UK Rain" delivers dusty, sample-heavy
deep house groover with touch of garage hooks, while "Strong IV" holds the melody and dubby chords
in more classical way filling the mood with beauty and immersed in thought. "Amayak" drives you
fastly into jacking-house dancefloor groover which will leave you there without hope for salvation. The
last but not least "Headswing" gets you into the hypnotic voodoo thrill or maybe as an act: you
discover yourself in center of PBar dancefloor diving into the depth.

Jonas Saalbach & Samuel Fach present their "Vital Signs" as the third vinyl release by Auditive. This track literally drags you into a beautiful outstanding soundscape. Driving on one hand and deep on the other hand, "Vital Signs" definitely invites to swing a leg. A so called "banger" comes from the british producer and DJ Third Son, with a top-notch hypnotic and straight Remix. To round up this wonderful EP, Mira & Chris Schwarzwalder enchant you with their very individual interpretation of the original and put some extra magic on top.

Kanja Records is sincerely honored to present its fifth vinyl release, based on a concept called Sunday Mornings. With this series of releases we will focus on that warm up, early morning, after party gems and slowly fading away from peak time music. Our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. Music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory.
Varuth by Olvap was definitely our first pick for the first track on this release. Warm and complex structure is something you will find expressed in all of his releases, especially with the track he presented on this release.
Holnap by Ztrl perfectly sits beside our opening track. Minimalistic beats and nice, smooth atmospheres really nicely round up the first side of this release.
Hoodwink by Jhobei stands strongly on our b side, with broken up beats and sweet atmospheric pads he surely deserves a place on our Sunday Mornings series.
Disperare by De La Munte is the final track on this vinyl release. A really special track, that has a very mysterious sentimental vibe nicely rounds up our fifth release.

Milky glass stands for a semitransparent, fragile barrier causing a diffuse glance onto life. It is about force, obsession, excess, consciousness, evolvement, liberation, reconciliation, inner conflicts, accomplishments and the intercourse with these subjects that were decisive for the genesis of 'Glass'. The debut album of Aparde.

Paul Camillo Rachel (Aparde) was able to give back the liberty to his musical output, that he consciously subordinated, limited and aligned. 'Glass' sounds more like breakout, more offensive, deeper insight with more attack, passion and maybe a little much of pathos. An unmistakable arrangement and atmosphere, accomplished through the usage of only self recorded material. Kind of urban and conceptional field recording of sounds in all kinds of
environments, selected and sorted by themes. thus, for the title 'glass' different kinds of glass were acoustically combined with other materials.

Selected analogue instruments and a reduced use of software resulted in an homogenized, warm and classical but specific character. Crystalline, organic percussion, vivid surfaces, sudden rhythms and extent atmosphere, which distinctively scatter throughout and complement the stereoscopic sound image. The own voice, which will also be part of the
upcoming works was out in a stronger focus. After a diffuse phase and adjacent relocation finally resulting in the availability of their own room for musical and personal development, the
songs originated between the end of 2015 and mid 2016.

Each and every song went through a lengthy process of development and many underwent a radical preadaptation around the start of 2017. The acoustic pattern of 'Glass' became more and more distinct. The album was then finalized an early summer of 2017 in an old cottage in
the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, a very unique lake district in the north of Germany. The homonymous title track summarizes the atmosphere of the album in a comprehensible way and is as well the oldest title on the album. The topic was visually translated by literally looking through a milky glass: intertwined limbs of elusive bodies, diffuse and bizarrely aesthetic.

AUS121 Deadboy 'Auogeides 77' Aus welcome Allen Wooton aka Deaboy for his debut release in 'Auogeides 77' Wooton's bold, rugged club music has really reached its zenith in recent years following key releases on Local Action and Numbers, 'Auogeides 77' is no different. Rough analogue drums, broody melodies and a smidgen of that UK flavour he's well known for all feature just in time for post festival heads down basement club season

This first release on XXX, will be accompanied with custom made artwork by PATRICK VAN VLIET. Patrick's work has evolved from pop surrealistic, psychedelic imagery to a Dutch social realism. He incorporates social annoyances and public degeneration from day to day life in his images. These images seem familiar but alienate. Alienation by disrupting the familiar with uncanny elements and deviant colors. A perfect mix for this release. 'It felt like a long wait for us, but finally we can present the first artist on our label XXX; JACK PATTERN". With great honor we introduce to you this collective consists of three producers who live and breath deep in the heart of Switzerland. They delivered four diverse and atmospheric stellar dance floor tracks with serious hints to the late '80s.

Toot Toot, Beep Beep, out of the way! KiNK's taster for his up-and coming album on Running Back is here.

"Perth" is a prime-example of the Bulgarian producer's unstoppable good times ware. Taken from "Playground", the three versions here are dripping with grease. Split between the original, a chord mix and a beat version, it's all you ever wanted from a single. Perfect house music for techno DJs and techno music for disco DJs. We strongly recommend the use of two copies back and forth...fun, fun, fun!

Where To Now cordially invite you into Lutto Lento's 'Dark Secret World'. After a string of releases on labels such as FTD, Proto Sites, DUNNO Recordings and ourselves, we now find Polish artist Lubomir Grzelak ready to present a fully realised, full-length distillation of his distinctly exuberant and unique electronic narratives.'Dark Secret World' takes it's cues from a ridiculously diverse palette of influences... from Dancehall, Jungle, and American Sacred Hymns to more abstract influences such as Goosebumps, Caribbean magic beliefs, Rudolf Steiner, and Disney's 'The Godess of Spring'. Upon initial digestion of these influences your initial reaction is probably that this is an amalgamation of voices which appear too diverse to entwine, but for those who know Lutto's work will also know that it's exactly this psychedelic and wild stirring pot of source material partnered with Lubomir's precise percussive and improvised sample led persuasions that make him stand out as a unique and flourishing figure in electronic music.

'Dark Secret World' is certainly a mystical trip, with Lubomir conversing with and pooling from a sampled palette that is ultimately a deep, personal, dark and twisted tale of horror and intrigue, melding this gambit with his signature air of light & wildly percussive beat led playfulness has allowed him to create something wholly other. 'Dark Secret World' stands as an expertly and clearly painstakingly crafted 43 minute movement through ethereal & fantastical unfamiliar realms to sudden sweeps of the totally familiar where rewinds, heavy breaks, bass waves, whistles, airhorns, sirens, etc weave together to form an album which is both extremely odd yet totally cohesive and absorbing.

'Within just a few years, Warsaw-based producer Lubomir Grzelak aka Lutto Lento has established himself as one of the most singular and innovative voices in underground electronic music. Crafting brindled mash-ups that tear apart aesthetic standards in a many-sided bazaar of upside-down rhythms, the Polish producer's deconstructivist approach shows equal ease with basic shapes and more complex audio structures' - Baptiste Girou / Inverted Audio.,

The return of Michael Klein was imminent. Considering the magnitude of his last offering, the - Drawing EP', it was only a matter of time before he returned with another stellar parcel of forward thinking dance floor bombshells. With his latest contribution ‚Metals EP', Michael presents four stunning numbers displaying not only his trademark sound, but his evolution and range as a highly promising new artist.
The expedition kicks off with - Silver' and with it a lush presentation of the perfect balance between thrust and elation. While a persistent rush of momentum keeps the pace, slow yet infectious rises and vast ethereal cries of spacious flickers set the stage for a cosmic ride reminiscent of indigenous settings with boundless, star lit skies. Following suit on the A side sees Michael return to his approach heard on his last EP. Somewhere between the traditional fundamentals and the future stylings of the most distinguished techno lies - Opaque'. With incredible force and exuberance, Klein delivers off kilter grooves that create a contagious, sweat laden exhilaration, nothing short of pure warehouse bliss. Kicking off the B side is - Outer Shell' and it is by far the most emotional and cosmic of all the tunes. Opulent melodics construct beams of radiant light found only in the outer reaches of deep space as flashes of meteoric rises and low bursts of impetus propel the auditor into a never-ending journey into a place where time and space cease to exist. Wrapping things up is a slow burner entitled - Dura 2 feat. aGhost'. A tune that can be played fast or at the slower original speed, it's a beautiful demonstration of resistance and inflection. As chants of a mysterious female fill the room, shimmers of lavish chimes circle slowly to secure an impassioned sentiment of sorrow, excitement and desire. To compliment the beauty of 'Dura 2' we've enrolled the services of Roman Lindau to put his spin on the original. With just a few elements Lindau expertly creates a monster of a dance floor stormer. As the bassline continually grows and shrinks with a simple but highly effective four to the floor groove, the excitement swells as short stabs of vocals entice the crowd to peaking trepidation. Enjoy and lose yourself in the infinite aural landscape of Michael Klein's 'Metals' EP.

Following a double dose of newfound Los Angeles talent, Apron Records founder, Steven Julien (aka Funkineven) returns home with the debut release from London-based enigma, Molinaro.

APRON 35 is classic Apron Records material; five slabs of soul-drenched techno anchored by groove and grit from a new name with plenty of experience. Molinaro — who has honed his production and DJing craft for over a decade — is one of the capital's best technicians behind the decks. A skill most recently recognised by NTS Radio, who rewarded him with a regular monthly slot on the airwaves. The first of which shot straight into the NTS Picks for the week.

Opener "GIO" cements the tone from the off, drifting in with warm, enveloping pads, quickly joined by beefy drums and percussion in a five-minute sprawl out. "JTL" is arguably the standout; a boogie-influenced roller aimed at prime time dancefloor. "TY" and "MOLOW" showcase the deeper, moodier face of Molinaro's sound palette before the beatless 'SOFAR" rounds things out, paying homage to Ryuichi Sakamoto's synth brilliance.
Apron EP lands in November 2017 on both digital and 12" vinyl.

'Artful Rifle is a new record label dedicated to 'non-serious techno music' founded by Berlin based producer Pablo Mateo. The first release 'Tentlover' EP comes up with 4 atmospherical, psychedelic techno trips - paying an homage to Octavia E. Butlers 'Xenogenesis' trilogy.

It's not an everyday happening that your wife is remixing one of your tracks. This is exactly the case with Simina Grigoriu's brand new Remix for Paul Kalkbrenner. Simina who is married to Paul Kalkbrenner for almost two years gives her remix treatment to his track - Kleines Bubu' from the 2011 album - Icke wieder'. The Original Version gets a huge Techhouse-Update using the original Strings-Ensemble Hookline. The additional Vocal Samples and the big Disco-Bassline give a unique flavour to this well made remix.

And so, a little short of our third birthday here at Selador, it feels like we've finally made it. No longer pretenders to the throne, we are now like a proper, authentic, fully fledged record label as we reach the holy grail of our very first vinyl release. A momentous occasion for sure. You can speak to our people from now on ;-)
Like all good 'rights of passage/coming of age' stories, it's been some time in the making. As you can imagine, a milestone of this importance was not to be taken likely and so we decided to call upon one of our star players, Sir Robert Of Babicz to take the leading role.

The signing of these two original tracks, Red & Green was something of a coup as several other labels also fought for their attention but we like to think common sense prevailed as the big man bestowed upon us the honour of their custody. We were proud as the proverbial punch. Robert is also aided and abetted here by two of Western Europe's brightest electronic music lights, the 8 Bit boss, Gorge and the stylish French duo, Villanova who in turn add their own spice to proceedings. It's a very special release all round. One to cherish.
Selador Recordings - Let's get physical!
