WPH kicks off 2015 with a new E.P. by the mighty Luv Jam from Wales. Living in a universe that is entirely his own Andrew Cole has cooked up two more of his 'especially for WPH'-tracks.
One here at WPH HQ can only be flattered! 'Californian Freestyler' is the more peak time burner of the two, but 'BMX Bandito' will not disappoint the more discerning punters out there either.

On remix duty we find the main artist from our friends at Uncanny Valley in Dresden, Jacob Korn. Any work by Jacob is always a treat and this here is no exception. Flexing our digging talents we have also licensed a Luv Jam remix from the good people at Panta Rhei that was only released on limited 7'. We feel it deserved to be on a 12', so there.

The kings from Italy, Paul C & Paolo Martini once more drop the absolute floor hits. Groovy as per usual with a Nice7 remix on the fresh Material release. HOT.

Shedbug from Australia is kicking off our newest release on Deeptrax. Four trax for the heads and for the floor. Screaming acid with deep rhythms full of mesmerizing chords like these old Detroit warehouse vibes meeting ultra dope bouncin beats going into dreamy breaks. All captured in sonic waves from this Melbourne Salt Mine bloke on a heavy mythical mental mission.

Arnaud Rebotini teams up with David Carretta for the 'Classico' EP! Both are very close friends and huge football fans, Rebotini supporting PSG (Paris) while Carretta supports OM (Marseille). Both football clubs are huge rivals, as much as Madrid and Barcelona are in the Spanish league. Rebotini composes the 'PSG-OM' track on this EP and Carretta takes care of the 'OM-PSG' track, creating a bridge of their love of football and techno. The deluxe EP will release one day before the match OM-PSG. Both artists will be playing at Cabaret Aléatoire in Marseille on that same weekend (February 24th).

Seth Troxler's agenda setting Play It Say It label is back with another massive release, this time coming from a group of Detroit heavyweights. Featuring a lead track from Andy Toth & Billy Love, it is packed with essential remixes from Chuck Daniels, Andrés & Midnite Jackers.

Andy Toth was part of Detroit Grand Pubahs and Billy Love is a singer from Detroit who added vocals to seminal tracks by Underground Resistance. Together they have help their city's electronic music earn its enviable reputation on the world stage, and here Billy tells a story informed by his time as a male revue dancer at a legendary strip club called Watts Club Mozambique.

The standout original here, which had a low-key release a few years ago, 'Thrillseekers,' is an off-beat house number with fresh synth stabs and popping drums that come with steamy vocals. It's future facing and soul infused and is the sort of characterful cut that will mark the highlight of any set.

Up first with the remixes, Sample Recordings main man Chuck Daniels shows off his Detroit credentials with a driving and late night, smooth and seductive take that is filled with warm machine soul. Pre-release this classic Detroit groove has been getting lots of support from Eats Everything, Riva Star and Seth Troxler.

The second sizzling remix comes from Detroit's Andrés, a key artist on Moodymann's Mahogany label who has put out three seminal albums as well as many killer jams on his own La Vida. His hip hop indebted style is here in all its glory once more, with loose and rough drums jammed out on an MPC and interwoven with gorgeous jazz chords and a noodling bassline.

Already released and doing lots of damage on worldwide dance floors, the Midnite Jackers remix is nearly eight minutes of rough and ready, attitude riddled house with fat bass, rude vocals and a wonky feel that will add plenty of freakiness to any party. This is a Detroit heavy single featuring some of the Motor City's finest talents, and is set to be one of the big record of the summer without a doubt.

Funk dripping debauchery is Hard Ton's latest serving. 'Triple XL' takes its cue from the annals of italo, disco and electro pop, further fuelled by production from Dutch diamond in the rough Tom Holkenborg (better known as Junkie XL). A track beyond tongue-in-cheek, lyrics dance in a devil-may-care dervish. And it is those lyrics that remixer Domenico Torti holds on to for his jackin' house interpretation; a Chicago affair of carnal delights. DJ Overdose comes from a totally different angle. The electro fiend pours ice water on to the original for a frosted vocoder wonder. And to keep the roulette wheel spinning, Andreas Gehm closes. Hard as nails, acid drenched, diva voiced pound wraps up an EP an admirable assembly of tracks.

Already playlisted by Marco Carola himself with his 'Keep on goin' track on D-Foor, the French prolific producer comes up with

effective bouncy and fluid techno grooves! FK004 comprises four tracks. Two originals: the atmospheric and bass- fuelled main track "N side" and the rolling pacey and direct « Dirty side". Along with two strong & deep techno remixes by German artist Dorian Paic & the Romanian Dubsons, 'N side' EP seems perfectly fitted for either techno aficionados or peak time Ibiza hours!

After releasing brand new material on DUM034, DUM Records are dipping into the label boss's production archives for the next one: it is a reissue that features tracks from a number of classic Mono Junk releases. Two came on Trope Records, one in 1995 and one in 1993, and the last pair of cuts come from 1996 when they were released on Plug Research. Arguably some of the influential Finnish producer's finest work, all of the tracks here emphasize how long he is operating on the top of his game already.
First up is 'A...', a hard hitting techno cut with urgent drums and real menace in the groove. Widescreen synths add soul to the visceral feel of the track and then comes 'Another Acid', which for the first time is being released as a full length track at 6 minutes 26. It was from Mono Junk's first ever Trope EP and is a no nonsense acid banger that kicks like a mule and is riddled with great effects, slithering lines and arresting drums. On the flip side are two tracks from his Mood EP from 1996 written as Kim Rapatti, both sounding as fresh as ever. The first is a blissful and beautifully tripped out deep, Detroit house track and the second is a melodically rich, colourful cut that journeys far off into the galaxy. It's hard to think of these as twenty years old, because they still sounds as essential as they ever did. It's not for nothing they've all been previously released as A-sides...

BLACK CATALOGUE in collaboration with LA's PLUG RESEARCH unearths this gem from MR. HAZELTINE aka JOHN TEJADA originally released in 1998. The A side features the original mix of "ON THE AVENUE" and "THE MECHANIC", followed by a MANNEQUIN LUNG remix of the title track on the flip. Grimy and dusty!

The label Raro proudly presents the fourth vinyl release called "Motel Mera" EP from Russian musician and producer Pavel Iudin. The release includes three original works in the genre of the modern house. The remix was presented by the Chilean producer and musician Felipe Venegas

Moscow Records close 2016 with a fantastic 3-track EP from Berlin imports Roustam and Tolga Fidan. This being their first outing together, the pair deliver a high quality, intelligent journey through minimal house and techno.The record opens with Brodsky Beat; a groovy, dance floor-focused track.Lively percussion and tight bass communicate perfectly with the hope-filled lead to build tension throughout.The Omega Variant on the A2 has a much more abstract feel. Broken beats and skippy percussion play back and forth with deep, spacey hooks and a peculiar synth, giving the listener a sense of mystery.Finally, Growing Up Is Just a Phase is a calming 14 minute trip that uses the entirety of the B Side to tell a story of reassurance and calm. Laid-back rhythms, guitar samples, relaxed vocals and a wandering synth line work together to form the perfect warmup track.

Techno heavyweights Audion and Len Faki step up to provide two outstanding reworks of Scuba's 'PCP' and 'Black on Black' respectively.

For the lovers of Silent servant, Ancient Method, Mick Wills, Vatican Shadow, Demdike Stare, Basic Channel, Sandwell Districtic, Raime. Angelo Sindaco started producing electronic industrial music on tape in the mid '80 and dark techno during the nineties, releasing albums for ACV, Minus Habens, Eukatech and more. He has been the first techno dj in Bologna (Italy) at Link Club sharing decks with Underground Resistance, Aphex Twin, Theo Parrish and many others.Maurizio Carli Moretti started djing in 1981 opening for Killing Joke and Contorsions acts and then performing in clubs and art galleries mixing dark wave and electronic music.

Consistently unearthing a hotbed of new talent, Hot Creations next release is Back To The Music from DJ and producer Sooney. The release features two original tracks and a stellar remix from one of the biggest names in dance music, Route 94.

London based Sooney fell in love with house, hardcore & jungle in the early 90's. In 2015 he set up his own label, Take Control Records, gaining support from the likes of Shadow Child, Jamie Jones and Gorgon City to name a few. Since being discovered by the Hot Creations family, Sooney's sights are firmly set on big things for 2017.
Fellow UK artist Route 94 shot into the limelight in 2012 with chart success and has since gone on to appear on labels including Virgin, Defected and Crosstown Rebels, and work with major names like Katy B and Jess Glynne.

Blumoog music is again among you with two really great producers on the electronic scene. After a split single with Muslimgauze and a single of their own on Optimo Trax, we are delighted to present the first Optimo Trax album release by Italy's Underspreche. The album is split across two four- track EPs, released two weeks apart (and also as a complete digital album).
We try to avoid over-hyping our releases, but this one is really fully deserving of the hyperbole I am about to bestow on it. Underspreche first sent me some music a few years ago and seeing them grow and develop has been nothing short of astonishing. I think this is some of the most nuanced and advanced music that Optimo Trax has ever released. There are several dancefloor destroyers here but also music for more developed/leading-edge floors too, as well as some music simply designed to make one's mind melt.

It is very rare that I listen to 4/4 music at home, but this album has been a constant on my hi-fi since it was sent to me.
Super-advanced, organic sampling, inspired vocalisations, acute psychedelic modular sequences, forward- thinking drum programming, this is exactly what I hoped Optimo Trax would be about when I started the label.
