These songs were made over the past 2 and a half years by Uchi: Luna (January 2016), was named after a talking cat. It's kind of a sad story. You will find some synth sounds, three different kick drums, and a couple hi-hats. It's kind of moody. You can take it as it is, or not. Pride is Poison (July 2014) ironically, it's titled after experiencing dosages of unhealthy relationships, though it might be the one people like the most. It's sad-ish, noisy, bouncie, and bassie That about sums it up. INC (February 2016) is titled after the International Noise Conference, where it was recorded. Actually it's a 3 part spliced zoom room recording of a 25min long improvisation, made in a punk bar. The argument here holds; Is it really worth it to make perfect music Where is the concept of "live" in techno anyways It doesn't matter. It's just a semi-distorted recording of a moment that meant nothing to almost no one, and yet it lives.

RMR Records return with another various artists affair that features great new tracks from James Johnston, Ruff Stuff, Timmy P and Mikki Funk.
From start to finish it is an essential EP that will be great bait for both DJs and dancers everywhere........
James Johnston runs the No Matter What label and releases on the likes of Lux, City Fly and many other labels, always marrying Detroit, Chicago and futuristic ideals to killer grooves.....
His cut Get House Now is full of raved up piano stabs, classic vocals and slick bass that really drive it along........
The second track on the A side is by Ruff Stuff, an Italian pair made up of Francois Le Roy and Nanni who have fans in Annie Mac and have released on Dirtybird.
Their track is a big warehouse banger with heavy drums, raw percussion and soulful synth.......
On the flip, Local Talk, extended Play and Sccucci Manucci star and drum obsessive Timmy P offers an upright house jam with airy chords, classic Chicago kicks and a real feel good nature to the groove. The last cut Swhung from Mikki Funk is another gem. The talented producer, who has worked with Music Is Love and has a robust house sound, comes up with a really colourful track with plenty of slick effects, tight drums and clever vocals, a high impact cut that rounds out a great EP overall.................

After the successful debut release 'Schmitzhöhe EP' BergWacht Records is now coming up with the second project 'Arbol del Tule EP'.
Of course the now well-favoured - Sound of BergWacht' turns up on this release as well, and with dutch artists Michael and Jurriën of 10dens
two more appreciated ambassadors of melodic techno could be gained over. The idea of producing an EP to pay homage to the trees of our
earth arised after a long-standing friendship followed by 10dens' first gig at a BergWacht Event end of 2012. Once again this is made clear:
BergWacht is a family affair.
The - Arbol del Tule' (tree of Tule) in Mexico is the thickest tree in the world. Equally phatt is the bassline, that directly brings it to the front on A-Side.
Soon, selected percussions and a harmonic touching melody merge into a wide, drifiting and soulfully sound-carpet. With slick modulations
and different synthies, this carpet takes you away on a journey through the track's arrangement.
The highest living trees on earth belong to the species of the evergreen Redwood tree. Using gentle chords, first track 'Redwood' on B-Side
carries you off into the treetops of a mystic forrest, just to bring you down to earth some moments later with a kicking drumset. Striking surfaces
and whizzing, stomping sounds provide for a well-rounded rave-factor, that is constantly built up to the end through changing melodic elements
and breaks.
- Montezuma', last tree and track on this EP, is a real musical plank. Playful tones are dancing over wooden kick and stunning subbass and couple
with blurred effects. Here, too, the arrangement convinces in setup and structure performs magic to this perfect peaktime bomb.

Aaaron is a producer that's been on our radar for a long time. As demonstrated by his beautiful and stripped back recent work for Connected, Aaaron's tracks have developed a certain maturity that has become impossible to ignore.
Following that signature style, the grooves on Black Arp, his debut EP for Yoshitoshi, flow smartly from his experiences in Berlin's minimal techno/tech house scene. Never too abrupt or intense, Black Arp and Keep Doin It are versatile tracks for many different atmospheres and set styles. Like much of his music, the percussion throughout features elements of tribal house, producing a playful energy and an extra level of accessibility.
Additionally, we're very excited to welcome DJ T., another respected Berliner who really needs no introduction, to the label for the first time. He gives the EP a rough edge with this remix of Black Arp. The distorted synth leads and stabs here filter in and out over a driving tech house groove, giving the release a peak-time option for those in need.

In the midst of a busy year, full of wildly-varied accomplishments, David Lieske (aka Carsten Jost) has surprised us all with an unannounced 11-track full-length album on Dial-- his first since 2000's "You Don't Need A Weatherman..." In the interim he's kept busy curating countless releases on Dial, the label he co-runs with Peter "Lawrence" Kersten, celebrated a 15 year label anniversary with an all-encompassing 2LP/various artists'
compilation, released a gallery-edition album of his black ambient collaboration Misanthrope CA with Robert Kulisek, "Deathbridge" and launched a new magazine project (also with Kulisek) named after the speed of light i.e. "299792458m/s". All this activity, even after his recent trans-atlantic relocation from Berlin to New York City, mainly to open the American branch of Mathew Gallery has surely taken us all by welcome surprise.
Out of all of the Dial house and techno artists, Carsten Jost has always represented the most precise brand of exquisitely doom-laden house, laced with equally strong doses of melancholy and beauty. Here on "Perishable Tactics", Lieske runs through his distinctively stealthy low-slung beat-mospheres, leaning towards a decidedly low-lit and sultry space, but mixed with a fresh, gently arc-ing feeling of romance and dare I say itLove() Tellingly he's seen it fit to include 2007's "Love"-one of his best e.p. tracks from a split release with Efdemin. But while "Love" represents a climbing and yearning towards a place where love might reside, the remaining new tracks debuting here seem to represent a place where this love actually exists. This feeling is woven into his deep, medium tempo, detroit-inflected house rhythms, accented with crystalline keys, disembodied voices at times and gently soaring strings. While anger may be less in the forefront here it is important to notice that these tracks are ripe with the balance of joy and unease inherent in house. There is definitely a newfound languidity here that feels particularly like a moment shared by two (perhaps amongst many) but the atmosphere still remains decidedly pensive. See "Ambush" with it's strolling beat, moody yet sweet chords and chilling atmosphere later joined by thunder cracking in an almost-approving-manner a safe-distance away.
Of course diehard fans will find satisfaction knowing that Lieske's delectable angst hasn't completely abated. Title track "Perishable Tactics" takes a disarmingly peaceful setting and rolls a heavy fog over it to herald a sure-to-arrive fate that awaits us all. (See also "Army Green".). But with "Dawn Patrol" the whispering hi-hat and gently clanking rhythm offset by rolling strings marries the old and new Carsten Jost most successfully. All of this atmosphere bookended by ambient intro and outro tracks by Misanthrope CA make for a perfectly foreboding, elegant and deliciously dark new album release by Carsten Jost.

We hit you with the second single from Jimpster's acclaimedSilent Stars LP loaded with the good stuff! The album has received much love from DJ's and critics alike and it's clear that after 25 years in the business Jamie Odell retains his reputation as one of the most talented and consistent electronic artists in the UK. As A&R and DJ he also boasts a fine ear for emerging talent and here he hands over the reigns to two hotly tipped producers to rework his originals. First up we have the incredible Peggy Gou who takes on The Sun Comes Up ft. Jinadu. Her speedy rise through the ranks over the past 12 months has been down to just a handful of brilliant EP's on Rekids and Phonica and her skills as a club DJ. The Berlin based Korean sits somewhere between Detroit, London and Berlin in sound and her DJ sets are an assured, kinetic combination of dark, pulsing house and techno, broken beats and abstract compositions. Her influences shine through on her remix which goes deep and musical whilst retaining an energetic drive for the dancefloor. Perhaps the most mesmerizing, floor-focused track from the LP is up next; Silent Stars. An electronic tribal dance which builds to a speaker-wobbling sub-bass breakdown and wonderful chord section at the climax. Next, a remix from West Coast native Urulu who came to Jimpster's attention through his releases on Let's Play House, Dirt Crew and his own Amadeus label. Trying to describe his remix of Where You Areft. Khalil Anthony is no easy task, fusing elements of techno, broken beat and afro house, but check it out and if you can think of a suitable new sub genre to pigeonhole it with, let us know. Closing the release we have the slow-burning, balearic-tinged beauty known as The Sun Comes Up featuring Jinadu on vocals. This is one to drop in the warm after-glow of a crazy night under the stars when tired legs and happy hearts crave a soulful groove to give them one last lift.

Following a killer debut on Optimo Trax Michele Mininni debuts on R&S with the heavy hitting psych detonation of 'Rave Oscillations'
Hailing from Southern Italy, Mininni's influences run to kraut, post rock, new wave and electronic amongst others, a long time DJ he manages to condense his influences into beguiling productions that come as a welcome breath of originality.
Taking a heavy dose of inspiration from seminal kraut groovers Silver Apples, 'Rave Oscillations' builds from the hypnotic motorik groove and off kilter bass into a pulsing peak time anthem.
On the flip, 'Vortex Stasi' takes things into a more psychedelic direction - dubbed out piano, jittery rhythms and spiralling swathes of guitar blossom into a truly tripped out, squalling, breakneck concoction.
Mininni's kaleidoscopic musical vision is a truly unique proposition, a myriad of different styles and genres deformed under his oblique lens to create sun-drenched space music.
One month after the release of 981 Mb RSD EP, we are glad to introduce you to the new Molecule's album: 60° 43' Nord (Deluxe Edition). Some would associate the sounds of the waves to heat and relaxation and rest assured, we're part of them. That being so, some others visualize the sea as a wide playground from which they can pick up the echos to turn them into a deep sound. That is precisely the case of Molecule who decided to record the wild voices of the Atlantic Ocean aboard a 90 metres long fishing boat. The result is made of powerful and danceable techno beats ("8 ZL 40), tracks that will take you directly to the Atlantic's depths ("Abysses"), and harmonious moments of time off ("Le Jardin' or Soleil Bleu"). The whole of the tracks is captivating and flows naturally as we listen to it. You'll find the song Hébrides, present on the 981 Mb EP, as well as the original version of Rockall that you might have heard already as a live version. If you never had the chance to jump onto a 90 metres fishing boat, take your chance, Molecule is inviting you to get on his... The CD included in the LP version features the 10 tracks of the album.
Sphera´s Winter is getting hot. It´s even the Sphera Vinyl debut for Simone Tavazzi (Trapez Ltd, Material, Saved, 303Lovers) who gets remixed by sleepless Siwell and Hector Couto (Rising Music, Brise, Viva Music).

Cocoon Recordings presents: Q! Cocoon Recordings presents - Q' - the new edition of one of the longest running techno compilation series worldwide! We do not want to start again by mentioning how unbelievable it is that we have reached letter Q already ... and we do not even want to imagine how fast we will probably arrive at XYZ, if time continues to fly like this. The actual thrilling part of this compilation series is simply the fact that Techno seems to not grow any older in this form - isn't this amazing Here, in the truest sense of the word, we have a compilation of timeless material before us. With a broad bandwidth ranging from - futuristic-deconstructive' compositions such as 'Da Dang' by Alex & Digby and 'Fragile' by Carlos Nilmmns or the many contributions to Q that fancy almost anachronistic acid and trance influences: Everything sounds fresh and forward thinking! The vocal parts and the arrangement of 'All I Can (About you)' by Baba Stiltz appear like electronic singer songwriting. The musical approach of Baba Stiltz is slightly similar to big Pepe Bradock productions and their Dada aesthetic. In contrast to this, 'Anno Domini' by Kamran Sadeghi follows the sound approach of early Maurizio / Basic Channel records and reminds us that modern techno does not always have to be impulsive and kicking, and certainly does not define itself over the most extreme 'drops' (sick!).

Chains EP, is a meltin pot of dub vibes, breaking leads, and melancholic vocals.
An obscure path through secret prophecies, sewing new worlds, combining ash and bones.
A born spell, takes you into uncharted lands, a journey up to a mirage of a desert lake.
Axel Boman remix is fresh breath into e melancholic landscape, as a shaman hypnotizes you , and takes possession of your most magical vibration.
Beacon Remix is a velvety story into a melody that cradles you in a soft dream without break away from a wild energy.
Systematic Recordings celebrates its tenth anniversary and decided to release only special vinyl pressings during this year. The already second part of Marc Romboy´s series is therefor also a collector´s item and comes along in form of a coloured vinyl. Both tracks, the melodic - Simi and the tracky - Bylgja have been featured at Romboy´s and Bodzin´s buzz causing Be-At-TV show at Village Underground in London last December!
For our next chapter, there is Parrish Smith. In his wicked game of creation and demolishment he's working on combining organic and mental material which brings him to his first full-length EP. His melted personal stories convey through rough mechanics and exuberant expressionism. This tells the story of fulfilment, development and setbacks. Mixing up illusional layers of metal drums with harsh and rough moving synthesis. Polyrhythmical electroniczzz for the mind.
Finally Canary Recordings is back! 4 fresh Raw & Deep House tracks for all dance floors!! Dubfire and Miss Kittin have scored another big hit in the form of their second collaboration Ride, the follow-up to the much-loved anthem Exit. Now, many destroyed dancefloors later and they're unleashing a big pack of remixes to sit alongside their two original versions. Solomun may best known for big melodies and hooks, but his remix boldly displays his affinity for heads down techno. A beast of a track, it centers around ticking percussion and pulsating synth delays with a throbbing low end. Minimal in approach, maximal in aesthetic, it's a no-nonsense groove. Matthew Dear dons his Audion guise to remind us how instrumental he was in formulating that oddball techno sound a decade ago, making good use of the vocals in the heady breakdowns and matching them with unsettlingly wavering synth sirens and an almost tribal bass stomp. It's full of atmospheric touches and pulls off a big room feel without resorting to cliches. Depeche Mode, Erasure and Yazoo legend Vince Clarke is a personal hero of Dubfire's, making his appearance on this package all the more of a special, rare treat. His chunky house groove is decked out with rolling congas, electro arpeggios and a yearning, bluesy guitar lick. French star Djedjotronic has himself remixed Depeche Mode, and his version rounds off the package with throbbing low end, harrowing synths, techy percussion and brooding Reese bass swells. With four very different mixes to choose from, this is an immense package that is set to cause havoc on dancefloors worldwide for some time to come.

A-side tracks "Heptagon" and "Prism" fill the room with walls of sound and heavy kicks, where as the flipside's "Nitrogen" and "Thirty Four" offer a more rhythmic funk.

Get ready for some true wonkiness, courtesy of Neil Landstrumm. This is techno purely for those rock-solid psyches who lack that element of the deranged, the off-kilter and the strange - on the dancefloor and in their own mental constitution. If you're even slightly in doubt of your sanity, stay well clear of this cut. The fact that he's been using Elektron instruments probably means it's even
more important to have that straightjacket at the ready. Even that won't stop you from dancing, though. Neil has been making wonky techno since antiquity, hell, he's the progenitor of the genre, but what you probably didn't know is that he's also been doing
graphics for Rockstar Games, the software house that brought you Grand Theft Auto. He's been a skilled Elektron user from the very beginning, from the high and far o times of the Sidstation.
Nick Beringer brings forth his recently formed imprint Rubisco with a round three tracker called "Impulse", ranging from airy chord-driven grooves to the more stripped-down side of house music.

After recent releases on the Save Fabric album, Alola & Jack Trax, Mr.C has delved deep into his musical psyche to deliver an acid master-class that's influenced by Ska, Dub, Electro, Italo Disco, Acid House & Tech House, bringing his roots up to date with this massive modern production. Incidents is about things that can happen while clubbing. Down-tempo tracks Entry Search, A Civil Dose & Quick Exit will dub you out. Slightly quicker Acid Fever & Stand Up will completely groove you & dance tracks Do It For Me, Disco Rebellion, Shape Your Dreams, Raid, Ripple Effect & Master Of The Universe will make you dance like no-one's watching. Loco Dice's Desolat kicks off 2016 with a brilliant new EP from Romanian trio Premiesku aka long term friends Livio, Roby and George G. They have close associations with the label and have done for years, and after their great debut album Indirect in 2012, are now a very real force in the dance world. The trio is also famed for its live show, which is performed using specially made consoles and has seen them headline all over Europe from Timewarp to Watergate to Rex in Paris. With releases on labels like 2020Vision and Vakant, this really is a fantastic outfit that once again comes up trumps here. Opener Altitude' is seven minutes or irresistible electronic funk. Jostling drums and odd synth sounds dance next to each other and you will too. Machines get loose and spit out soulful sounds and odd hooks and the whole thing keeps you locked for the duration. Bucur' is a more peak time techno cut with forceful kicks driving it along, occult little alien sounds and snatched vocal parts that are fluid and free flowing and will really get under the skin of any dancefloor in expert fashion. Neo' then finds the Romanians going for a more minimal aesthetic with slick rubbery drums making a punchy pattern down below as heavenly female vocals up top add a key human element. Some spiritual melodies also explode above the groove and ensure that minds will be well and truly blown when this one is dropped. Lastly, the excellent Permut' is a dubby roller with a fat and heavy bottom end that is impossible to ignore. It has some classic techno synths lighting it up and is the sort of hypnotic affair that will really stand out in the coming months. With this essential new EP Premiesku continue to go from strength to strength.

Under the moniker Shed, Pawlowitz published three highly ambitious albums in which he defined his work more and more as his own way of musical narration. 'The Final Experiment' is definitely the temporary highlight of this evolution. As musical work it does establish Shed conclusively as one of the most interesting and substantial electronic music artists of our time. It carries a vibe, that links Shed to other boundary breaking artists such as Ryuichi Nakamoto, Brian Eno and Carsten Nicolai. However, Shed found a way to develop a highly individual way of communicating electronic music, that is self-sufficient. 'The Last Experiment' is a mostly homogeneous piece of work, a meditation, where the stylistic confusion seems less important than then musical statement that it represents.
