House Vinyl New Releases - News

Acclaimed Italian pair Deardrums, aka Bottin and Leo di Angilla, proudly present their adventurous debut album on 2MR. The 13 track LP is a continuation of their analogue heavy and inventive synth style as showcased on their EP's to date which have received support from the likes of Laurent Garnier & Chloe and covers plenty of musical ground with great aplomb. African influences, tin pot percussion and scorched synths all bring a real sense of savannah heat to proceedings on cuts like 'Mami Wata' and there is a sense of tribalism in the tightly programmed drums and claps of 'Mayan Machine' that really stands this one apart. Authentic and unique throughout, this is a brilliant LP that is hard to categorise but easy to love thanks to its constant evolution and wide sphere of sonic influences.

After several acclaimed EPs on some of Europe's greatest labels, such as Local Talk, FACES, Mile High and his own Rawthenticity, it's now on the Hong Kong's most prominent label "Fragrant Harbour" that Fulbert has decided to land with a truly raw piece of house music. Meticulously sampled and arranged with the help of analog gears, Days Of Being Wild got this very special saturated ow-fi sound, very characteristic of one of the most promising talent to have emerged onto the French electronic scene in recent times.

Kris- & Konflikthantering is Swedish for 'crises and conflict management,' as well as a course at university guiding you how to manage scenarios involving crises and strategies in handling conflicts. This album was put together while Harald was taking this course. This album was made during semi-unconscious conditions and is an emotional transcription of experiences to the language of sequences and frequencies. The soundscape is a warm fuzzy travel from krauty basslines, vocal fragments and mantras through echoes and reverberating tunnels with shimmering arpeggios, field recordings and programed patterns in ancient Japanese Roland techniques. All recorded on the Studer B67 master tape recorder, the heart of the Kranglan Broadcast studio. The album is being released as a three episode series with exclusive remixes on the 12s. The vinyls come in sleeves with cover artwork drawn by Malin Gabriella Nordin. Kris- & Konflikthantering I/III (KLN007) features 4 tracks with traces from Harald's latest release Fritids EP on Studio Barnhus as well as a remix by Petter Nordkvist under yet another moniker... It is the first time Harald and Petter are on the same 12 since the Thunderpants era with Harald on the microphone and Petter behind the screen releasing on young John Dahlbäcks Pickadoll Records, time flies. Kris- & Konflikthantering II/III (KLN008) features 4 tracks including songs from Harald's live repertoire as well as a remix of his Studio Barnhus debut Sabor Latino now interpreted by the queen of Pampa, Areal and Kompakt, Ada. Kris- & Konflikthantering III/III (KLN009) is the final ending with 2, 14-minute plus tracks. One dedicated to the ancient rave grounds of Hellasgarden where it all began in terms of dancing in dirty fields lit by sonar sweeps from the broadcast masts and strobes visible all the way to the city.

The next episode of DJ Kicks comes from Jackmaster. The
Numbers cofounder and charismatic Glaswegian delivers
an honest journey, unearthing a serious passion for the
obscure boundaries of house and techno.
'The mix is influenced heavily by how I used to DJ at the
first party I ever promoted, named Seismic, and another
named Monox which was a straight up techno night where
I was a resident from the age of 17. And although it wasn't
my plan, it turned into a kind of tribute to the cities that
really formulated me as a DJ: Detroit, Chicago and Glasgow.

State-of-the-art techno from Nico Purman. The Argentinean's vision of contemporary club music has always been located somewhere between techno and electro. His Pattern Recognition EP turns out to be Nico's most uncompromising work since his early releases on Vakant and scores with three bold and infectious tracks for the club.

Here comes the next big UK name on the German Toy Tonics label: PBR Streetgang. With past releases on Hot Creation, Wolf, 20/20 Vision and a DJ residency at WE LOVE in Ibiza the guys belong to the finest in UK techno funk. Now they joined the new German label that has been choosed by BEATPORT recently as 'one of 10 visionary labels that will rise to prominence in 2015. PBR Streetgang's 'Move on' - EP is the next step in the German vs. UK collaboration history on Toy Tonics. Luke Solomon, Whitesquare, Montel were the first Toy Tonics releases made by British names. PBR Streetgang come up with this 2 tracker that includes a bomb-remix by newcomer KIAN T. Sounding like Max Graef taking a few MDMA pills to much and getting lost in the vintage synth hell..

There have been many different ways in describing the personal stories behind the protagonists of the electronical music scene in the 90ies. It´s in the nature of things that especially producers, whose place of work is the studio, remained rather in the background.
One of them is Ralf Hildenbeutel. He was the producer of Sven Väth´s most important releases such as "L'Esperanza" or "Fusion" and an essential creative part of the Eye Q label in the 90ies. His "Earth Nation" project was the first live act from that genre who was taking a drummer on the live stage, playing on international festivals and stages including the "Montreux Jazz Festival". The vita continues. While many other musicians kept on working on techno, Hildenbeutel composed for artists such as Laith Al-Deen or Phil´s son Simon Collins and wrote filmmusic for movies such as "Hommage á Noir" which won the Goldmedal for music on the New York Filmfestivals. The film adaption of Martion Suter's "Der Koch", "Ausgerechnet Sibirien", TV thriller such as "Kommissarin Lucas" or even the series of "Verbotene Liebe" have been scored by Ralf Hildenbeutel. His filmmusic for the international multi-awarded shortmovie "Momentum" was nominated at the Newport International Filmfestival. On "Moods" Hildenbeutel finds more back to electronical music. Fans of artists such as Ólafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm or Jon Hopkins will enjoy this longplayer. Hildenbeutel mixes complex string-arrangements and piano pieces with clicks & cuts and invents his own coherent language which allows both directions to live in harmony. Elegiac compositions and vivacious, percussive breakouts as in "Spark" (for which an video by award-winning filmmaker Boris Seewald will be made) meet on this album.
An album which grows and gains depth with each hearing.

Italian prodigy Riccardo Rizza returns to Colourful Recordings with another strong yet diverse release. Llama opens up with driven percussion and a captivating groove while Telluso is more of a late night affair with fat bottom and seductive vocals. On remix duty, Marco Effe delivers an organic off beat history that will bring some serious heat to the floor - not for the faint hearted!

Second Shan release on Running Back. This one has Chicago's Jack, leanings of New York garage dubs, Miami Bass methodology and breakbeat led rave signals all on one record and made for the dancing public's benefit. Includes the infamous 'Piano Mix' as heard in the Boiler Room with Ata and Gerd Janson back in November 2014. You better work!

Ataraxia: a state of serene calmness' - and a highly appropriate title for two tracks that epitomise Simon Garcia's singular vision of the hypnotic potentiality of house. On the back of his residency at Madrid's MOTEL club, a busy international tour schedule, and high praise from an array of luminaries including Laurent Garnier, Garcia touches down on Poker Flat for the second time very much on the crest of a wave. The title track's pounding kick and busy hats provide a bedrock for a slow crescendo of drones and parallel, pulsing synths. Skilfully, layer after layer is added to the mix to deliver a heady, reverberating transfiguration. Eschewing the easy tricks of big builds and breakdowns, it's an exercise in serenity through meditative repetition. 'A Hot Drink In the Desert' casts a tropical feel with its bustling beat and dancing xylophone. This is soon disrupted by high frequency, Hitchcockian drones, ominous piano strokes and undulating bass tones, taking the tune into haunting soundtrack territory - a deliciously mysterious and spooky groove.

New EP from Valentin from Paris on Silver Network imprint ! After SILVER 030 and SILVER 31, Valentin delivers two fantastic tunes on Silver's 41st release. With two fresh remixes from french house maestro FRANCK ROGER, you can't do no wrong.. Stay tuned !

Keysound Recordings are excited to announce the introduction to the extended family of Detboi, longtime contributor of fearsome dubplates to the label's Rinse FM show. The EPs four tracks - Scatter', Give Love', Shots' and Pin Point' - represent a very focused cluster, taking both the building blocks and the essence of early 90s hardcore and jungle and imploding them at house 'n' garage tempo. On dance floors, as witnessed by sets at Keysound Sessions in Peckham, Fabric and Outlook festival, they create a strange paradox of both percussive impact but also extreme, almost arresting disorientation. Despite its strobe-like, almost ravey feel, the vinyl artwork depicts subatomic particle scattering. The universe's DNA gets rewired in beautiful loops and curves just like rave's base pairs were sent into a disorientated spin by junglists.

Whodunnit One stitch follows another, the garment eventually unravelling itself as if taking the blame for a crime it did not commit.

DJ support: DVS1, Surgeon, Four Tet, Pariah, Darko Esser/Tripeo, Pangaea, Perc, Call Super, A Made Up Sound, Untold, Errorsmith, Anthony Naples, Cosmin TRG + more

Brooding modular techno, acid, and a hint of new beat influence are all represented on this compelling 4 tracker.

HOT! Italian don, Hugo is here on Material. His 1st solo EP is totally nuts!

Verona based producer and DJ Luca Ballerini is our latest discovery and a perfect proof that Cocoon Recordings is still looking for new kids on the block and gives them the chance to step into the arena. Although we have to admit that Luca Ballerini is not a complete rookie anymore. After his debut on Siena Recordings in 2010, Ballerini founded his own plattforms and released several productions on Musical Metaphor and Wax Jam. 2014 saw his debut on Shlomi Abers 'Be As One' label which says quite something about Ballerinis sound and style. The dreamy and harmonic techno productions of Shlomi Arber or Guy Gerber seem to be the blueprint for Ballerinis style however the Italian producer is not copying here at all. The israeli influence is noticable but Luca Ballerini creates his very own style by adding straight and solid techno- and house-beats. This special mixture covers a wide musical range from relaxed after-hour-techno to emotional peak-time clubsound. The perfect soundtrack to make it back to the clubs, leaving the cold and rainy open airs behind and heat up again for the all upcoming hot party nights!

Straight AHEAD Music presenting their fourth vinyl & digital release from Miguel Lobo & Andre
Butano. Ranging from House to Techhouse and Dub influences, Miguel and Andre found his very own style and switches easily between them. For the first track called "Xevious" delivers a warm and sexy dub music flavour. The second track "300 hoes again" is full of different influences and defines perfectly the taste from both producers. To complete this fine package we asked some of our fave producers OXIA, Zohki & Roozlee and Di Chiara Brother´s. Their remixes are groovy and to the floor tracks. Thanks to Miguel and Andre for keeping their tracks for SASCHA SONIDO´s label STRAIGHT AHEAD MUSIC.

The Earth was incessantly covered in ice, it's landscape an immense, frozen desert. Boulders and sand washed to the valley, crushed under the glaciers' enormous weight, leaving nothing but the hardest rock behind.'
Neunau draws inspiration from natural phenomenons, sculpting his indelible and furious expression into materials: a ritual guided only by the rhythm of his own heartbeat.
Composed exclusively of sounds recorded at the ancient forge museum in Bienno, in the middle of one of the largest valleys in the central Alps, Neunau presents an experience that goes beyond simple listening. His tools — water, iron and microphones — are used to transport the listener through time and place. A true voyage through forgotten ritualism and symbolism, these extracts aim to grind contemporary dance music to its barest essentials, making long-lost times ours again.
Neunau is the debut EP from Sergio Maggioni's Neunau, released by Parachute on 12" vinyl

now repressed !!!

90s british rave. To the people, from the people.

Art Department announce the release of 'Cruel Intentions feat. Seth Troxler', the first single from the highly anticipated sophomore studio album, 'Natural Selection'. The track will premiere on Pete Tong's legendary BBC Radio 1 show on 17th October, before receiving an official release through No.19 Music on the 10th November.

'Cruel Intentions' is a brooding whirlwind of hypnotic beats, layered synths and off-centre vocals courtesy of Kenny Glasgow. True to form, the track brims with Art Department's signature impeccable arrangement; simplistic perfection, distorted through a murderous bass line and raw textures, topped with hauntingly eerie spoken word verses by long-standing friend and collaborator, Seth Troxler.

Stepping up for the first remix is revered house master and Ibadan Records boss Jerome Sydenham. His 'Deep Space Dub' reinterpretation is just that - it relies on classic sounding drums, seeing Jerome layer space-age melodies whilst permeating the track with a kinetic sense of intergalactic energy. One for the late night hours, it's a sumptuous affair from start to finish.

Completing this most discerning package is Fred P, boss of the Soul People label and a true master of deep house, bringing two mixes to the table with his signature reshapes. Heavy drums, floating synth lines, which hover over the landscaped drums, really take the listener on a trip. Tension builds throughout and the original vocals are reduced to freaky, indecipherable mutters that add another level of intrigue to an already heady track.

'Cruel Intentions' is an exquisite introduction to Art Department's forthcoming sophomore album, 'Natural Selection' which follows their highly esteemed 2011 debut, 'The Drawing Board'. The album represents the music, the story and Art Department's evolution from the projects inception until now, alongside Kenny and Jonny's personal journeys as individuals.

Art Department recently announced their winter world tour which celebrates the release of 'Natural Selection' and will see the duo take their immersive DJ performances to the world's most esteemed venues, festivals and No.19 Music label showcases around the globe from this month until early 2015. Art Department have been installed as residents at CircoLoco, at arguably the most revered club on earth - DC-10 (Ibiza) since 2010 and have performed at legendary venues and trendsetting festivals worldwide, including Panorama Bar (Berlin), Fabric (UK), Warung (Brazil), Output (NY), Ultra Music Festival (Miami), Lollapalooza (Chicago), Tomorrowland (Belgium), BPM (Mexico), Burning Man (Black Rock), Coachella (California) to name just a few.

The fourth release on The Martinez Brothers' Cuttin' Headz imprint, the bros from the Bronx come up with some old school flavored house vibes with their remix of the Basement Jaxx Feat. Sneak 'Sneakin' Toronto'. They snagged the remix package from the veteran electronic music duo as a lead in to the Basement Jaxx full length album 'Juno' expected to be released later in the fall on Atlantic Jaxx / Pias. The vocal version features a flurry of different spoken word phrases chopped up and filtered. The Dub is for the vocal-phobic members of the public - a bubbly slice of jackin' house that will brighten the dance floor.

After a stirring appearance on the 3rd Correspondant Compilation, Bird of Paradise brings his sophomoric contribution to the label in the form of a full length EP, replete with a remix from Lauer.
Title track, Baal, is laden with bi polar melodies and the trademark BoP' reverbed drum sound, the combination of which, alongside an almost liquid bass line, make it simultaneously mournful, driving and continually surprising for its concise five and a half minute duration.Taking the sombre aesthetic into even more heart wrenching territory, and the half light' manages the uncanny trick of being at once tear jerking and eminently danceable.
The remaining original, Brothel Drummer was actually the first track to bring BoP to the attention of Correspondant, via a youtube video shared with label boss Jennifer Cardini by label artist Man Power (also a close friend of BoP). An achingly low tempo and a generous helping of New Wave pathos make this an incredibly distinct, memorable and moving piece of music. Unclassifiable by its very nature, which is something that paradoxically makes it utterly Correspondant'

For his remix of the title track, Lauer pulls the original versions melodies in to line, and rearranges the track in to some kind of lost electronic pop find from 1986, lending a sense of playful lightness to the overall EP, but still retaining the ever present pull on the listeners heart strings.

Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold are very glad to welcome longtime friend and legendary producer Christian Hornbostel on their Kling Klong imprint. His 3 club bangers convinced quickly and when Namito confirmed to add his remix there was no doubt to have an exceptional release ready for take off.

Back with his second EP on Truesoul after his impressive Kilimanjaro EP, dubspeeka has tossed out more attitude with his new Noise EP. Keeping in the similar dubspeeka trend, his Noise EP is dark and moody with interesting twists and turns to give this serious character. From the distorted Drums of 'Noise' to the melodic synth line of 'Usk' dubspeeka has delivered an outstanding piece of work that should be commended with the highest honour. The preciseness of his synths and vocal swirls separate this from other projects and shows the class and enigma that dubspeeka is capable of.

Concupiscence' is Elon Katz's newest release introducing the anti-moniker E L O N (said by spelling out the artist's name; Ee El Oh En). Recorded in 2012-2013, these tracks mark an explorative time and departure from Katz's normal studio activity as White Car. Inspired by the work of Actress and a long time love of 90's electonica and IDM, the EP uses a variety of styles and densities to explore particular themes. E L O N is also the half of Streetwalker with Beau Wanzer.

'Concupiscence' makes sense of beat-based electronics through a mirage of gasping percussion, dimorphic bass lines, and syncopating truncated voice- often the producer's own, but also samples of internet pornography and cinematic sex; transforming the source audio of ersatz on-screen sexuality into new sonic imagery. In place of the salacious depictions that mainstream often offers, the EP engages electronic music and sound as a source of deeper exploration into eroticism.

Currently based out of Los Angeles, Katz has called for a hiatus on his 5 year effort on White Car, an alumnus of the Hippos In Tanks label and a still looming figure in the forever blooming Chicago electronic music scene. In 2016 and beyond he will focus on releasing and performing music under his birth name, Elon Katz and the E L O N project- evolving the ideas explored with his many different past projects and collaborations.
'Concupiscence' is to be release on 12' for the first time by the label MIND in February 2016.

Cin Cin, a series of split 12's from Fort Romeau (Ghostly Int. / Running Back / Robert Johnson) and Warm's Ali Tillett. Each instalment bringing together friends old and new in a spirit of collaboration and togetherness. Kicking things off is label boss Fort Romeau and ex Ostgut Ton honcho and Panorama Bar man Nick Höppner. 'Untitled' sees Fort Romeau whip out the 909 for some acidtechnohousemusic while Nick indulges in some UKG influences with steppers 'Stay' and 'Splicing Hues'

Its his frst vinyl EP.These tracks are his special works while his all productions.Especially about "Mind Piano" is produced for people who got a Japanese terrible victim of March 11th on 2011.Iori had strong image of healing them mind on that track, and he hoped make them relax and feel comfortable from deep sounds."Orbit" is his mind of moving inside of his inner forest of his galaxy. He wanted to express his orbit of galaxy in it.So,this EP includs two awesome remixers who are Pezzner, and Alex Celler. They decided to do remix for this EP as they get super feelings from original tracks of Iori Wakasa, and they wanted to do.

First they had a feather fight. Then they did what's known in the industry as 'the gettup' and proceeded to tear a hole into 2013... Now San Fran / Bristol's finest dynamic duo return with two more beastly jams.

'Steven Jello' takes us on a deep journey into the groove space continuum. Boasting a strutting cosmic bassline, hypnotic percussion, weeping synth flurries and a timeless house vocal shot, it's Justin and Eats at their most con- templative. Heads down, feet to the floor, get busy... We have no idea who Steven Jello is, but as he's inspired a tribute like this, we're already in love with the man.

'Kong' is so monstrous it'll have you climbing the nearest skyscraper for safety. You'll be ducking from the groaning, moaning airplanes overhead. You'll be air drumming to the gargantuan tub-thumping fills. You'll be shaking your hairy booty to the snake-like percussion. You'll be pounding your chest to the rusty organ flourishes. You'll be asking yourself... Where has this tune been all my life!

Few co-lab projects resonate with such distinctive shared spirit and sonic camaraderie. It's a shame Justin and Eats don't live closer together or we'd have an entire album of this high calibre material by now.

While we love to dance at Correspondant, we've also been known to think from time to time to, so it's exciting for us to have been given the opportunity to combine the two things when

presented with some new music from two of our favourite producers, Marvin and Guy.
As such, Correspondant 42 represents a more conceptual approach for the Italian duo, informed by long countryside drives, the names of classic cars as learned from an illustrated children's book, a yearning to move away from the pack of identikit dance music and a need to connect with their music in a physical way, as provided by the recorded hand clapping refrain running throughout the tracks.

After several VVAA and remixes, we are glad to introduce you the first solo ep of Oscar Barila in his own imprint My Little Dog. The first track is 'Raw Girlz', a forward driven song, somewhere between old skool and deep house. Its heavy squared bassline and its catchy vocals promise to be a heavyweight stomper in the finest clubs. The second original track is 'Planet Hollywood', a melodic and chic deep house song with a brilliant dico touch.
If it wasn't enough with the 2 original tracks, there is also room for remixes. The super Chilean combo Andre Butano and Demian Muller (Cadenza, 8Bit) makes a fantastic and techy reinterpretation of 'Raw Gilz'. Meanwhile, the Serbian Mass Digital (Keno, Yellow Tale) gives his personal touch to 'Planet Hollywood' and turn it into an outstanding indie dance masterpiece.

German based imprint BAROC return with their second instalment! Paperwork steps up with three untitled cuts of properly raw, atmospheric house and techno. Drums thump whilst synths and fx float around the perimeters. BAROC002 is a real statement of intent - a completely essential release! Comes hand stamped, limited copies with inserts.

Talented production duo Paul C & Paolo Martini bring their Italian flavour to the dancefloor as they are warmly welcomed back on Hot Creations with 'Pinball'.Title track 'Pinball' hits with a solid bassline, intricate percussion and a dynamic ghetto style vocal. On the flip 'Woom' works up a cunning groove, spell-binding melody and strong synths build towards an epic breakdown. Both tracks emulate Paul C & Paolo Martini's distinctive sound and are primed for bringing heat to the night. With a combined career that spans 40 years in the business, Paul C & Paolo Martini are 2 of the hottest Italians producers around. As part of Bini & Martini, Paolo Martini was without doubt one of the most prolific house producers at the turn of the century, touring the globe and lending their remix talents to major dance labels like Defected, Strictly Rhythm, AM:PM, Twisted, Universal and many of the worlds biggest pop acts such Jamiroquai, Kylie Minogue, Terence Trent D'Arby, Murk, Armand Van Helden and many many more. Paul C has honed his production skills since the mid '90's and his energetic brand of tech-house has seen him release on a host influential labels. From 2010 the pair have worked tirelessly in the studio and not only seen their music supported by many of the industry's biggest names but have also seen their tracks & remixes feature on labels such Hot Creations, Cecille, 8Bit, Moon Harbour, Noir, Gruuv, Terminal M, Exploited and Bedrock amongst many others.

The second Rhythmic Theory release for Ancient Monarchy finds him in a more eclectic mood. Travelling Without Moving and The Bends sound like an interesting mixture of the "heads down" of the Blue Note Metalheadz era and the industrial heaviness of early No U Turn releases, with a taste of Detroit techno. Ceti Alpha and Machine State don't sound like the classic weak ambient tunes that most dance music producers create, to show they can also do this kind of stuff. They sound like a well thought out effort to create a cinematic sound that recalls the classic Brian Eno wall of sound, and the expansiveness of Artemiev soundtracks. Rhythmic Theory cannot do wrong these days.

Why stop when you've got a good thing going That was our reasoning, at least, behind GP286V, a special vinyl release inspired by the crazy goodness that was Roach Motel's ‚The Night' EP. Released alongside a handful of great remixes by the likes of Tuff City Kids, Fred Everything and Felix da Housecat, this vinyl edition of 'The Night' has put their old-school-leaning 7 minutes of popping rhythm heaven on wax for all the black gold enthusiasts to enjoy.
