After the success of Powers of Ten, Stephan Bodzin's latest and greatest full length, the German tastemaker has now invited a key selection of artists to remix tracks from it. This great collection will be released digitally—with two bonus remixes by Super Flu and Marc Romboy—as well as on vinyl on the 18th December 2015.
The original album came in June on Bodzin's own Herzblut Recordings and was a hugely personal affair that has been played far and wide by DJs and danced to by clubbers all over the world. Now breathing fresh life and different perspectives into the original source material are the likes of big name stars Maceo Plex & Shall Ochin, Fur Coat, Extrawelt, long time musical sparring partner Marc Romboy, Pan Pot, Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Dominik Eulberg and many more.
Things kick off with Ellum Audio boss and Shall Ocin, who flip 'Powers of Ten' into a serene and slow burning track full of spiritual synth lines and heavenly pads, before Spanish pair Edu Imbernon and Coyu work their magic on 'Wir' and reimagine it as a sumptuous and slow burning tech track with a droning baseline and cosmic melodies. Influential Crosstown Rebels act Fur Coat then tackle 'Singularity' and cook up a brooding, elongated main room track that locks you into its groove and never lets you go. Next, long time Bodzin collaborator and friend Marc Romboy makes 'Ix' into a tense tech tool that balances on a knife edge as menacing bass roams and rolls below.
From there, Cocoon team and live specialists Extrawelt makes 'Blue Giant' into a spooky minimal cut that is full of haunting atmosphere, festival headlining Second State pair Pan-Pot then offer lots of tense groove and sombre machine melodies on their version of 'Zulu.' In the second half there are dark remixes from Max Cooper, intense synth jams from Agents of Time, typically beautiful and musical offerings from Dominik Eulberg, tripped out techno rollers from Gabriel Ananda and two digital only remixes of 'Birth' that are deep and inviting from Super Flu and clean, reflective and soothing from Marc Romboy. Monoloc also comes up with the goods on his deep and dubby remix of 'Singularity'.
This collection plays out almost like a mix, taking you up and down and through many different styles of electronic music, each as absorbing and essential as the next, and that's all thanks to the on point and informed A&R of label boss Stephan Bodzin.

After his debut album 'Wonderlust Bug' gained support from the likes of Sasha, Timo Maas, Laurent Garnier and more in 2009, Garcia saw his 'Lady Luck' release on Yoshitoshi feature in the Beatport Tech House Top 10 for over five months. Fast forward five years and his catalogue has witnessed the addition of releases on Noir, Exploited, OFF and Southern Fried, whilst collaborations alongside iconic duo X-Press 2 and appearances at Bestival and South West Four have worked their way into the schedule.
The original cut from Garcia and Wagstaff fuses an impressive combination of haunting yet melodic keys layered over an ever-evolving lively bassline, leading to the production flourishing into a heavy hitting house number.
Next up, Copy Paste Soul provides an understated and impressive stripped back alternative to the original, adding a chord-focused hook to unruffled transitions throughout to provide a welcome switch up. Fast rising Jacky (UK) steps up last to deliver an energy driven remix, maintaining the melodic line whilst providing thundering kicks, shuffling claps and an infectious groove from the get go to round off proceedings.

Flugel glad to present you U-more's 2 miles EP incl. Faster remix.
A side: Minimalistic and funk jazzy especially on the Miles Davis inspired track 2 Miles. The track titled Harney Peak, on the other hand, retraces the old school 90's road with hints of surrealism.
B side: get you crazy with Lilliput track gives one the feeling of entering a fairy tail, following a path of fairies and ogres. Not a trip taken by Gulliver, but you'll know where you are once you put the needle down. Faster's remix on 2 Miles track is rampant, with a pump down, that not allow to stop moving your ass.

We are speaking about Tokyo resident called Stereociti, a very gifted musician who devoted his heart to the music we love since 1994. Two deep minimal acid tweakers with guest vocals by Santana from the French group Claap! It's rare to hear an acid track with vocals these days. There's also a Claap! remix thrown on for good measure, and they take the song in a totally different direction.

After countless singles, LPs and performances played around the world, James Donadio is back with his first full length effort since 2014s "Petit Cochon".
"Ghost Detergent" is a consummate amalgam of fried gear, chunky bass and fractured samples. Donadio's extraordinary ability to fuse his wide range of influences into a collection of lucidly executed and concise jams has reached it's paragon.
"Ghost Detergent" is a rhythm-centric maze of fluctuating patterns adorned with crooked fills and raucous melody.Tracks like "Nerve and Gall" and "Government Wrecker" stomp with a coarse, grinding fuss gliding on swinging bottomless bassline turbulence. Locked in puzzle-like sampling patchwork collides perfectly with an array of rogue electronics creating a sense of daring nearly extinct in the age of gridlocked BPM-steady 12"s. Tracks like "Pregnant Toad" and "Cheap Amplifiers" play out like a Def Jam bonus beat with ripping, cough syrup slathered DMX snare sounds. "Ghost Detergent" has an unhinged, unrelenting churn that stares squarely into a personal vacuum, remaining uninfluenced by the influencers and unflinching in its originality. Neither bird nor egg are relevant here.
Prostitutes has managed to carve out it's own tenure in contemporary electronic music by delivering in live performance and by shattering expectations on records. Never does the aesthetic outweigh the content, and "Ghost Detergent" delivers only the wheat and none of the chaff.

We welcome the duo Two Diggers for this new Vinyl Only release. The frenchies are in great form at the moment and deliver these expertly crafted 3 tracks. Nick Beringer completes the ep with an excellent and solid house version of "Stay Home".
A1: Cocobongo says it all, sexy & hypnotic slice of house music with a tension that keeps the energy levels high.
A2: Deep and chunky tune, sure to sweep dancers all over again.
B1: Intriguing and highly addictive groove overpowered by thick bassline and chords.
B2: Nick powers up "Stay Home" with his remix, solid, murky and unrelenting. A deep, dark slice of groovy house for the afterhours crew.

The new local happening in Tulum Comunite launches its very own imprint featuring a Mexican Unknown entity, providing two
dubbed-out house workouts in addition to a remix by one of Rumania's front runners, Vid. Through an accordion-like melody
'Untitled A' takes the listener to a melancholic journey into the Latin bathed beatwork of the producer, while 'Untitled B' explores the mystical approach of the artist through gregorian chants over a techno drum base - this clearly portraying the dynamism that both the label/gathering and the producer offers its audience.
Vid steps up on the remix duties with a power-up version of 'Untitled B', exploring and experimenting with the rhythmical narrative the original mix offers. Overall, Comunite's debut pressing is clearly a demonstration of a new wave of producers and ideals coming from one of Latin America's hotbeds for art.

Poker Flat roar back into action with a remix package for Foremost Poets' classic club track, 'Reasons to be Dismal.' Originally out in 1998, 'Reasons to be Dismal' gets three slamming new takes courtesy of some of the biggest names in the underground.
First up is Dixon, one of the most respected DJs and label owners on the planet. The Berliner serves up another signature slice of pared down, driving house music that maintains the classic vibe of the Poets original.
The ExtendedSight version makes a welcome return to vinyl having been available on the original NuGroove release - a classic piece of dubbed out leftfield house, full of unhinged synths and cut up textures and scratches - sure to get the heads racing to the booth for a track ID.
Poker Flat head Steve Bug, who worked with Foremost Poets on this highly regarded Noir album, also offers a version, a tribute to the original track with replayed strings, updated drum sounds and a slightly different arrangement that brings in his favorite part a second time resulting in a more mix friendly ending. Last but not least is MotorCitySoul's remix - who choose to bring out the more Balearic, melodic elements of the track - a perfect sunrise record if ever there was one.

Finally Repressed!
More exquisite heat from one of the most consistent producers out there. Mihai Popoviciu has been racking up an enviable discography in the past few years, as releases on Highgrade, Hudd Trax, Bondage Music and Popcorn Records testify. This, his latest outing on home-from-home Poker Flat, suggests we may yet have the best to come. 'Time' is a low-slung slice of electronic funk, featuring a dirty bass line and lazy, growling synth skirmishes. The feeling is tech-y, underground and analog - a perfect vibe for the Romanian's killer grooves. 'Stay' drops a gear and cruises into even deeper territory. The melodies entwine to build a lush deep house groove, punctuated by a wonky lead and punchy, insistent drums. Popoviciu manages to hold plenty back, before unleashing a fierce drop. 'Paper Box' maintains the stripped-down sound design, leaving plenty of space of Popoviciu's signature synth squiggles, stabs and fragments of melody. The result is a slick, grooving piece of futurist dance music.

The thirteenth release maybe unlucky for some, but not here. With label head Oli Furness delivering the Weather Underground EP featuring a shudderingly good Bodyjack remix. Music is Love Records make their own luck as always.
Comprising of the standard format from Music is Love with includes 3 tasty originals paired with a killer remix. The crew deliver just that.
Crash Gordon opens the vinyl with a BANG. It's off kilter groove is an instant head nodder and super infectious. Oli always pushing the boundaries with his production and with this we get a nice display of his skills, bringing out the tone and life in the sounds. Bodyjack has the task of remixing Crash Gordon and steers the off kilter track into much heavier territory. Something Bodyjack does so well, heavy and rolling whilst keeping you firmly locked in.
The B side opens with a big party track entitled Big booty girls, a track ready to make any party lose their Sh*t. Heavy machine drum grooves as are often found on the Music is love boss's tracks and yet again they are central here, a heavily distorted 707 cowbell driving the frenzy is the most notable. Killer stuff.
To round up the ep we find the track 64. This is a continuation of the party vibes of the B1 but done in a very different style. Here we find the vibes of late 80's Miami, Booty shaking 808 drum patterns and funky ass loops. Staples of Mr. Furness's Sound.

The music world waits a decade for more music from Marc Nguyen Tan AKA Colder - and then along come two albums at once. As Colder, Marc released two acclaimed, cult darkwave, post-punk albums on Trevor Jackson's taste-making Output Recordings in the mid 00s ('Again' in '03 and 'Heat' in '05). After the closure of Output, Marc spent the last few years playing and recording improvised jazz in the mountains of Spain and working at his creative agency Le Cabinet. Paris. Then in 2015 he released the third Colder album 'Many Colours', after a decade of musical silence. His new musical vehicle is SAVE! and their record 'Monsters and Fairies'. On this one he steps aside as vocalist and collaborates with American poet and singer Craig Louis Higgins Jr. Last year Craig contributed his unsettling spoken word to the acclaimed dub-acid trax by Paranoid London (recording under his Mutado Pintado moniker). The world they have created together, with Craig recording in London and Marc in Spain, exists in a dream, suspended between the two locations. A creeping, creepy Lynchian-world, where acid-dub work-outs combine with stream-of-consciousness monologues to make one of the strangest records this side of Serge Gainsbourg's reggae albums like 'Aux Armes et cætera'. The record warps and shimmers as if seen through a heat haze, a confused existential daydream or a dark wave mirage. Released on Parisian DJ Ivan Smagghe (It's A Fine Line / Kill The DJ) Les Disques De La Mort label, SAVE! finds Marc operating in the experimental shadows, against the grain, much as Colder's post-punk sound originally appeared in the context of the other dance music in 2003

soooo here we are with the tenth and final release - thought it would be nice to finish on a nice zen like number - so this is a extra special release -kind of a mini LP almost -
opened up by FX Mchn - Flush the Trush is an intro to the comp - and a reverse funk skittish affair -
next up is new man on the block for us here - we been sitting on a collection of his tracks but felt this one complemented this EP the most - Ecco Foul - Gloss is a sleazy machine groove that doesn't do much but thats just the way we like it .then comes Mr Facade with his jerky funk - sweet surprises and warm melodies. the B side is opened by another newcomer from Running Back record - Hugh Mane - New age Dawns - whose track come s deep and wide open - has to be heard on the headphones as well as the club - Jamie Blanco's chord arrangments get opened up and spaced out by LHT office boy Toby Tobias in a detroitesque ditty thats been used to open a few sets in 2015 already and finally Alphonse delivers an out and out machine jam with the usual dub influence brought in vocal fashion.

Some more home-grown beats from Elvis Cassetta on Morris Audio! After his huge tune Humney (Morris Audio 94), Mr. Cassetta is ready with another fine EP called Longstreet Claps.
The title track is a deep and up building house tune with cool vocals and a sexy bassline and shows Elvis more subtle side of house. More of that please! The remix courtesy of up and coming London/Leeds duo JammHot (Madtech, Roots of Bloom, Morris Audio) taking a more stripped down approach, but as sexy as the original version. The B-side offers two straight club cuts, Elvis Cassetta style! And yes, Elvis is his real name! Enjoy!

Frankfurt based producer, DJ and music lover Martin Heimann presents his debut single Salto' on Carry On 008. Remaining faithful to its name, the small label puts out another piece of limited wax every once in a long while. Enrooted in the soundscapes of 80s proto house the original version of Salto' is a thriving piece of octave liberation. Consistent changes between harmonics break up the repetitive structure, while FM pads and the 303 are performing a little duet. The release is ennobled by two proper remixes from Moon B (Peoples Potential Unlimited) and Jex Opolis (Good Timin'). While Moon B keeps it bubblin' with some extra analogue funk bounce and subtle Italo dance floor energy, the B-Side is Jexi-fied with some embellishment to the cords, change in the bassline and a nice 808 snap. On top Mr. Opolis adds some mysterious but cheesy vocals samples that match perfect with the moody 80s orchestral stabs.
