Matthew Dear's Audion project stands proudly at the intersection between art and hedonism, realised over a decade long dedication to powerful and relevant dance music. Growing out of the vibrant DIY Detroit underground, Audion and his contemporaries were free to feed o- the energy reverberating from UK and European dancefloors, but singular in their desire to create their own sound and spirit. An Audion release is techno in it's purest sense - whether it's pushing the bombastic limits, spinning the dancefloor out of control or elegantly toying with just a few sonic elements.

'Alpha' is Audion's ­rst artist album in 10 years and comes at the end of a period of fevered activity. The collective body of work standing as a marker in time and a de­ning moment in the life of the artist. Drowning out the noise of the outside world, 'Alpha' was a puzzle pieced together sonically in the shadows and wildly brought to life in a matter of weeks. The artwork for 'Alpha' has again been realised by Will Calcutt, Dear's long-time collaborator, who has a visual plan for the music that matches the sonic vision, completing the ­nal critical piece of the puzzle.

London's Babyfather are back with the debut full length follow up to the street classic 'Meditation'. "BBF" Hosted By DJ Escrow. We had no choice but to bring back our friend Kiko Navarro after the success of the 'New Life EP' released on Local Talk earlier this year.

'Isao' is Kiko at his finest, a beautiful and hypnotic house track that has the perfect blend of afro and latin elements with a bouncy electronic edge.
There's also a mighty fine remix coming from Jose Marquez. Jose develops the vocal elements and brings in a whole orchestra of drums taking the track in a sweatier direction.

Kiko also delivers a 'KOKI dub' where he continues on the same vibe and adds strings complimented by shakers and percussions throughout the track.

Party girl grows from a a collaboration between 2 artists coming from different fields in music. NicoNote brought her Voice and  Indie-Soul Stylings to Limo's Club Production Sound. The release is completed with hot remixes by Dapayk, Guido Nemola and Dachshund. This simply but very Cute and intense Spleen made Party girl be here!  Enjoy !

Debut LP of Manuel Carvalho, half of Paralaxe Editions, under his Manta moniker, after a self released CDR and a tape on Marvellous Tone. Inching a few steps towards the dance floor, 'Citadel' revolves around notions of space and its emotional resonance within the human psyche, conjuring visions of Detroit Techno or early Warp into a Ballardesque dream of hazy synth lines, layered percussion and glassy textures. Over six tracks, Manta ebbs and flows seamlessly from the neon lit utopias of 'Kayseri' and 'Grid', through to the paranoia infused thumping rhythms of 'Citadel' and 'Blackwater' and into the synthetic tropics of 'Ghost' and 'Grid', all the while creating a headspace where Juan Atkins, B12, Porter Ricks or Black Dice all fit within the same dimension.

In the past, Berlin-based Djane Miss dicA showed with her releases on Third-Ear-Recordings and Auftakt Records her talent for modern electronic music .
Now, she opens a new chapter with her new label Radio Productions and proves that, besides groovy Tech-Sounds, she is also capable of more harmonic productions.
In her first release "Out of Blue" of her new label, melodic sequences melt together with analog Sythesizers. Together with her Vocals it creates a new Signature Sound.
As external support Remixes from the two well-known artists René Bourgeois and Lars Wickinger complement this release.
All in all it is a very colorful release in which everybody will find his favorite.

There was a time at the end of the eighties in which virtuous Japanese musicians were forced to use just a few kilobytes to arrange the music of the videogames of the 8 bit era. Despite the limitations of the early days of the digital music, the evocative power of their composition has remained unchallenged.
After a quarter of century, Lucretio has rearranged and produced two of these forgiven gems with the latest hardware technology, forging for them an heavy dancefloor armour.'The Last Dungeon' originally written by Shinichi Sakamoto and 'Rise of The Penguin' originally written by Motohiro Kawashima, are Lucretio's tribute to two of the masters of the SN76489 chip and to the beauty of this lost minimalist symbolism.

The last of Public Release's single-digit records is the first from the British West Midlands' most famous DJ and producer, Mark E. This shouldn't come as a surprise. If anything, the fact it didn't happen earlier should; Mark appeared as a remixer on Jeffrey Brodsky's 2014 Public Release EP, which has earned him the status of esteemed member of the outfit's inner circle and prime candidate for an extended play of his own.

That little bit of context behind us, let's move on to the actual music that's been pressed to Sky Horn. The 12' kicks off with the titular track, an abrasive number built around a meaty, sawtoothed synth line that sits snugly atop a hypnotic beat. Happy Family's remix—Happy Family, for the uninitiated, is Eric Duncan and Justin Van Der Volgen—is a more psychedelic reimagining of the original cut that'll knock you into an exhilarating stupor. Speedy and demented, it's an explosive, tantalizing cap to the first record.

The second begins with 'Midnight Equatic,' a tense yet propulsive number that's somehow paranoid industrial, tropical disco, and prototypical synthwave all at once. The duo comprised of Dennis McNany and LCD Soundsystem's Pat Mahoney, Museum of Love, wrap the four-tracker with their remix of the song, which zeroes in on the electro component so elemental to the original and runs with it, taking it into Depeche Mode Violator territories—before making a sharp left turn and exploring the wild sounds of the early 90s UK rave scene. A final hoorah for the party that is this record.

Since Tobi Kramer rocked the Format B remix contest he has been basking in the brilliance of his remix for 'Socks And Sandals". It is no surprise that the two label bosses won`t let go of this young man from Lower Saxony, though one searching for reasons need look no further than his 'Formatik' Debut EP 'Eye Patch". There can be no doubt: His sound belongs IN the label portfolio. No matter whether it's a first degree rave like the A1 track 'Offsuit' or veiled behind Venitian masks like the title track on B1, Tobi knows how it's done. And clear... he has no problem skillfully tying smiling guitar sounds while reaching the goal line with 'Busker' on B2. Tobi did it again!

The sun sets for the 8th time over the vinyl edge, pushing Ektschn! - another bass drum in your dancing face. The two boys, behind the Ektschn! project, present you, out of deep gratitude, with three jewlery boxes, embedded in matted black velvet with a smokey walnut note.

The first box contains a sweaty magic bean with the name of - Phonica'. The sun makes it melt away on your tongue and makes you realize how the sound is building up and up, making you wanna dance... And dance and to never stop again. Heavenly. The second box is full of dreamy sounds and vocals which fit perfectly together for the sunrise when you, floating as a feather, can enjoy it with full pleasure with all your senses. And the third box offers the perfect tool that will accompany you during your long adventure in the dark night.

For their third release, Hard Beach Entertainment dug deep into Detroit history and unearthed the enigmatic DJ SCSI whose only release to date came out in '97 on D-Bass.
Never released before, these four cuts have been fished out from DJ SCSI's own archive, uncovering some of the finest electro/ghetto house from the D. Massive!

Gunnar Haslam is a long-time Mister family member. By day he's a scholar of particle physics and signal processing, and by night he makes very heady music. He contributed to the Brothers and Sisters album and released the first (and only) ten-inch on Mister Saturday Night Records, but this is his first twelve-inch for the label.

'Decadubs 5' is a vinyl-only double-pack companion to 'Hyperdub 10.4', the fourth and final CD in Hyperdub's series of collections throughout 2014 to mark the label's first decade in existence. Both 'Decadubs 5' and its full-length parental set explore the club spaces opened up by house, garage and techno, as viewed through Hyperdub's singular filters. Side 1 leads out with 'Lambeth', a long awaited previously unreleased track by Burial, with an unusually triumphant and - compared to recent extended montages - relatively direct 2step feel. This is followed by the low slung tech-garage of Kode9's 'Oh', while on the flip the whole of Side 2 is given over to the lush deep house of Cooly G's 'Love Again'. Side 3 opens with the fathoms-deep bubbling bass and synth washes of DVA's extremely psychedelic 'Monophonic Nightmare', then Dorian Concept turns in a quirky remix of Martyn's classic 'Mega Drive Generation', which originally appeared on Hyperdub's fifth anniversary compilation in 2009. Side 4 reveals another classic from the vaults in the shape of Cooly G's skeletal house cut 'Him Da Biz', and the EP comes to a close with energy levels turned up on Funkystepz's 'Vice Versa', a track much in demand since it first appeared on Kode9's 'Rinse 22' mix compilation from 2013.

2016. Twentyfive years after Der Dritte Raum's first release on Sven Väth's Harthouse and Eye Q label, Andreas Krüger aka Der Dritte Raum locked in his studio again to create Electric Friends, an album ostensibly meant to make up for his previous album Aydszieyalaidnem and it marks a shift to a more pop direction. Though Krüger is lumped in with all other electronic music producers, on Electric Friends, his approach is to create a meeting place for techno rhythms and sonic experimentation from the perspective of the dancefloor, and a song-friendly one at that. Befitting the club setting, the tracks are long (twelve on CD and seven on double vinyl ), but they're crammed with interesting stuff. This album is not a clinical exercise in the textural possibilities inherent in static, Der Dritte Raum is tracking pop hooks and disco beats, and he even throws a couple of trance influenced tunes into the mix of the album. The first - and title track on this excellent album is called 'Electric Friends', a brilliant tune that highlights a smart way for listeners to approach the record. It showcases an extremely catchy lead synthesizer melody, underpinned by a sharp electronic backing. The track is suitably catchy without ever approaching raucousness. Electric Friends' reflects the wide range of Krüger's musical interests, and there are some homages. Command Line' has the odd distinction of being an Front 242 influenced track (in terms of beats and synths). 'Wasserstoff' is laid-back, starting with house-chord sounds, before getting all running noisy.Uptempo, danceable instrumental techno dominates the album, but the detours are frequent enough to make Electric Friends' works as a varied, complete document with feel-good body music. So why is it called 'Electric Friends' Well. Krüger apparently named it so because he thought that all friends who are involved in the D3R production like live co/pilot Ralf Uhrlandt, Booker, Management and Graphic designer as well

Keno Trax sets the focus on simple and functional club tracks but without taking things too seriously. They don't use a lot of melodies here. All that matters is the beat. And there is plenty of that on the release from the two romanian producers and djs called GruuvElements. Starting with an uplifting remix from David Keno taking the title track - No Signal' to a housy level while the rest of the EP is straight up tech house. Simply made for the clubs. There is a lot of percussion going on but always with deep and fat drums and basslines. Exactly how we love it.

Its been a hectic summer as always for MOOD boss Nicole Moudaber. Her relentless touring schedule has seen her ruling the dancefloors of every continent. On the release front she's fresh from unveiling her astonishing rework of Carl Cox's Kommen Zusammen, which has proved to be a festival favourite throughout the summer season. For her new release she returns home, for the first time since April's See You Next Tuesday ep, with the devilishly groovy The Whippin' I'm Dishin'.

Nicole's original sees her take a step back from the full throttle techno-tilt, creating a relaxed-yet-locked groove that swings throughout whilst kicking up a gear in its final third. Ramping things up in style is Gary Beck, who pairs the the primitive rolls of the bongo's against a relentless and industrial soundtrack.

Lets get ready to rumble. Round two for the young Label TÄCHNO comming along with a huge compilation. Four excelent tag teams presenting their soundwrestling styles par excellence. The oldschool berlin boys Dole & Kom vs. the berlin newschool players "Bebetta" & "Le Palf". And the freaks from Hamburg "Rich vom Dorf & C-Datei" will face the soundnerds from "Arts & Leni". A show that you should not miss.

Für das junge hamburger Label "TÄCHNO" gehen auf dieser Compilation, vier musikalische top Tagteams an den Start und liefern euch ein halbstündiges Soundwrestlingshowspektakel par excellence.

Die alten Herren von Dole & Kom, die schon in den neunzigern in den Clubs der Hauptstadt an den Regler standen, treffen auf die neuberliner vorzeigeteamplayer Bebetta & Le Palf. Aus Hamburg gesellen sich sowohl die Tanzflächenexperten Arts & Leni, als auch die Querköpfe Rich Vom Dorf & C2-Datei dazu, und machen dieses Release zu einer bunten Zusammenstellung die man so nicht alle Tage findet.

Ludovic is a composer who spent his youth in the north of france, learning music-making with computers (Commodore 64 and Amiga). After releasing a couple of techno/house 12 inches on small labels, he signed an artist contract (using his family name as a moniker) with french label F-Communications on 1997, releasing three EP's, followed by a LP ("Newcomer") on 2001. The album's huge success (more than 170.000 copies sold) leads him to stages around the world, touring for more than 3 years with musicians and singers, performing live in famous festivals (Montreux, Nice, Vienne, Den Haag, Les vieilles charrues) and in prestigious venues.

After releasing a mixed compilation ("My playlist") for Wagram Records in 2005, covering a wide range of musical genres, Ludovic focuses on remixing, working for respected labels such as 2020vision, Freerange, Compost Black Records, Brique rouge, Music Man, Chez Records, to name just a few. His efforts being rewarded by high-quality compilations licenses (Fabric 33) and critical acclaims. Contacted by french dj and producer Claude Monnet to join the Back To Fundamentals' compilation stable, Ludovic releases the track under a new pseudonym ("Miamik"). 'Insatiable', featuring female singer Tanya Michelle, reaches 8000 downloads in a couple of months. Besides, Ludovic starts composing soundtracks and bed-music for tv commercials and websites, working with famous brands such as Chanel, Guerlain, Henessy, Boucheron, or Yves Saint-Laurent.

Ludovic's most electronic and edgy project Art Of Tones ignites with a serie of EP's for 2020vision in 2006. Thanx to 'Praise' and 'Call The Shots (featuring Jaw)', the AOT project immediately receives positive feedbacks from big-name dj's and license requests for a plethora of brilliant compilations (Xpress 2 for NRK's coast to coast, Francois K for Ministry Of Sound's Masterpieces, Renaissance Masters serie). Later on, 'The World As I Live It EP' for the Hamburg-based label 'Room With A view' receives praises from top dj's such as Atjazz or Jimpster, followed by 'Too Much' being ranked in 'Resident Advisor's 2011 most played tracks'.
Ludovic is about to launch a bunch of brand new EP's on some of the most looked-after house-music labels : one of them is expected to be released on Local Talk after summer, the other ones being released on 'We Play House' and 'Lazy Days'. A new collaboration with female singer Tanya Michelle will be launched this summer on 'Defected Limited', and the first Blossom Kollektiv vinyl should feature an exclusive Art Of Tones track.

With Perseiden Dominik Häring brings falling stars into our living rooms. As melodic sounds they flare up and cause a feeling of felicity in the cold days of winter. With 10 minutes full of hypnotic melodies and warm basses he presents us 1000 wishes. Tagträumer² grabs the melodic essence of this track and reflects it in an atmosphere of Deep House. Thereby he manages not to lose the basic idea of the original despite his dance floor affinity.

The donated wishes will at the latest be come to fulfilment with Vorhang auf, where a moving bass comes upon interesting ambient sounds. Robin Raubvogel attends to this track and lifts up the curtains for the club.

With the first record on sceen.fm able the producer challenges the string between lounge and club atmosphere and coincident calls for spring!

Last night EP, the second release by In Records, where Emiliano Ferreyra brings a real beauty that makes you feel this Argentinian
taste of music.
Starting with the track 'Last night' that gives the title to the release, with sketchy and rhythmic percs that makes a good way to open the release. Then you find 'Our Walk', in collaboration with the amazing duo Proudly People, special for the first tracks of the night or maybe to enjoy the sunshine of an after party. There comes 'Oldie', with his heavy riddim and joined by Max J and Coockies remix of it making a real deep atmospheric environment.

Known and admired for its rich and moody ambient and techno output, Field Records is proudly presenting a brand new LP from IORI. His mesmerizing ambient excursions come under the title of Cold Radiance, and the album features eight tracks that suck you right into his world. Each track here is a long and absorbing affair that slowly unfolds and pulls you right into its grainy core. There are dark, texturally rich tracks that are full of menace as well as more heavenly, suspensory and angelic ambient offerings.

Previously half of pseudo-kitsch acid-electro force Light Year, and now gone solo, Mikey Melas aka Jensen Interceptor joins the binary cataloguing CPU with a perfectly formed electro cut.

Any artist who samples Ghost in the Shell, arguably one of the greatest anime films of all time, are all right by us. Mikey does so to great effect on the big beat / trip hop tempo 'Model 2029', which sits alongside three unrelenting electro bass bin destroyers.

Mactavis being the toughest cut, utilising a fierce driving 808 with a robotic bassline interjecting throughout. Electro is often overlooked for the club but it's obvious this E.P. was designed from the ground up to smash a big room.

For our 40th release on Area Remote we're excited to welcome Smokin Jo who's back with her fourth release on our label.

Smokin Jo is one of the most talented DJ's to emerge from the British dance music scene and her cutting edge sound has carved her a niche in clubland. She's played in pretty much every corner of the globe (when she's not at Space Ibiza for her summer residency) and remains the only female DJ to have won DJ magazines 'DJ Of The Year' award. Production wise she's been busy solo working under her moniker TRNSSTR alongside production partner Pete Gleadall, as well as her other projects collaborating with the talented likes of Nicole Moudaber, Marc Romboy, D Ramirez... and is now busy recording an album with a famous singer - but she's keeping the name under wraps for now. We're happy she found time to bring her head up from her busy schedule to give us Heads Down.

Half Baked records starts 2014 with a release from one of his most recently signed residents: Enrico Mantini. Having been part of the deep house movement since its earliest age, djing since 1987 and having released on labels such as UMM or Traxx Underground among many others, we can consider Enrico as one of the European founders of the deep house movement. His signature sound is raw, punchy and deep; a pure analog wave that immediately floods the dancefloor with good energy and euphoria. HB004 is no different. A three tracker sporting the Italian's recipe for House: gangsta basses, rolling kicks, playful vocals and jazzy synth stabs. HB004 marks a detachment from the micro-house aesthetics of the first three releases, drifting towards an old school sound, while preserving the standard of quality associated with the Half Baked name. The fourth instalment of Half Baked records is born under a good sign...the sign of dancefloor!
