HouseTechTechnoTechno

We're immensely proud to welcome Kompakt staple GUI BORATTO back to the SPEICHER fold, this time teaming
up with much-respected DJ and producer RENATO RATIER - also the mastermind behind legendary Brazilian club D-Edge and its eponymous label distributed by Kompakt. With both artists not being the ones to shackle themselves within genres, it is an exhilarating sight to find them collaborating on these two bangers: bringing all the sonic refinement we've seen in his current work for his own imprint D.O.C. or his 2014 album masterpiece ABAPORU (KOMPAKT 312 CD 115), Gui's presence to crackling, propulsive cuts TESLA and DRIVER is unmistakenly felt, but focusses on a much more muscular approach to dance music - a perfect fit for Renato's expanded floor expertise, making this 12" an absolute no-brainer for any club pundit interested in bringing the sweat to the party.

Nightdrivers - Nightlights
NIGHTDRIVERS002
NIGHTDRIVERS
12inch26.02.201526.FEB.15

HouseDeepTech

After one year since the first release "Night visions", The Nightdrivers team are back for another race on their own imprint with a bunch of fresh, obscure and rolling bangers named "Nightlights": The record starts with the mutant and spastic tech funk of the epic "Bright lights", a totally sweat walled basement track where a dirty, crispy and crunchy disco break combines with an edgy, syncopated 909 driving beat while a cheeky melody of party-bells going slightly out of tune runs on the top of it.

B side sees instead the infectious, sexy and swinging groove of "The Pimp", a naughty and pumping ghetto house track with irresistible and evocative vocals recalling to main mother earth's goodness, while on the second cut there's "Funky lights", a tough dubbed out version of A side where star wars lasers sounds and a bouncing and wobbling sneaky bass line dominates the scene moving on a dusty and solid keep on going rhythm.

Parapa - Sviluppo#1

Laterra

HouseTechTechnoTechno

Playfulness, this is it.
Take one of the world leading jazz trombone players, Gianluca Petrella. Take one of the brightest emerging talents within the European jazz scene, Gianluca Guidi. Take a mad scientist of percussions, Leonardo Ramadori. Take the flaming club culture charisma of Dj Ralf. Take the mixing and recording studio mastery of Fresco. Let them meet - it's a bunch of people who are true masters within their own field. And let them play.

Playfulness, just as respectfulness. It's a matter of having fun. Fun that's carefully crafted and never ego-inflated, that is: they respect each other, they respect the music, they respect the flow of the four-to-the-floor. Sure they do. Their aim is always to find the very right balance between playfulness and consistency. Be it the solo voyage of Gianluca Petrella on Pàrapa', with a trombone riding through delays and effects and challenging an Ostinato, be it the very serious divertissement Sviluppo #1', where stylish and geometric digital minimalism is facing slivers of analogue sounds and a crazy, jazzy, mocking human voice.

This is playfulness This is balance. This is R.Ha.R.F: Rhythm, Harmony, Repetition of Forms. One of the brightest and most unexpected artistic challenges emerging from the crossing boundaries of jazz and techno.

Raw District Feat. Aquarius Heaven - Her Mind
CRM144
Crosstown Rebels
12inch09.07.201509.JUL.15

HouseDeepChicagoTech

Belgian duo Raw District pair up with the formidable Aquarius Heaven for a sophisticated and seductive EP for Crosstown Rebels. 'Her Mind' also comes with a brilliant Martin Buttrich remix. The iconic vocals of Aquarius Heaven sway against the mechanised dub-laden beats of 'Her Mind', forging a glowing fusion of languid harmony. 'Tell No One' is a sonically imposing beast of a track, whilst Martin Buttrich's outstanding remix nests firmly in the heat of the night.Raw District are the Belgian duo Vernon Bara and Massimo DaCosta, who met in a Mons record shop in 2000, and run the label Homecoming Music. Born in 2013, their music has since been seen on labels such as OM, Brique Rouge, Souvenir, Robsoul, OFF, and now Crosstown Rebels. Vernon Bara is also known as Ultrasone alongside Igor Vicente, the techno project that has released on Hot Creations and Supplement Facts.Aquarius Heaven, born Brian Brewster, is an ex reggae dancehall and hip hop singer. Now based in Paris, he has had previous releases on Circus Company, Visionquest and Wolf + Lamb and also collaborating with dOP & Art Department.Martin Buttrich's journey into electronic music began in clubs in Berlin and Hannover at the dawn of the '90s. His notorious collaborations with Timo Maas and Loco Dice have led him to form the infamous label, Desolat and he still manages to find time to put out a remarkable collection of music.

Stephen Lopkin - Meall A' Bhtiridh
MOSDEEP027
m>o>s deep
12inch22.04.201622.APR.16

HouseTechTechnoElectroTechno

Having already released on MOS Recordings' sub label MOS Deep before now, Stephen Lopkin is now back with a second four track effort, due for release in April. The Scottish artist has been making prickly house and techno for almost a decade now, and on the four cuts here he once again showcases a serene and slick style.
Opener 'Och Aye' is Detroit styled cut with rich synths dancing about above rubber drums. It makes for a shiny, electrified atmosphere that is clean and sleek and emotive. 'Weegie in Wigan' is a much more peak time cut of cackling percussion, sombre chords dampening down raw drums and a wild FM baseline that adds an old school feel. On the flip, 'Ball & Chain' is another busy house effort that has hi hats spinning like plates, thudding kicks and whole eco systems of synths darting about while 'Meall' ends the EP on a masterfully melodic and heavenly groove that journeys through the starry night sky, wired up with electronics and stuffed with machine made soul.

Liem, Eddie Ness & Johan Kaseta - Let's Get Playa
LHLT002
Lehult
12inch24.03.201524.MAR.15

HouseDeepTechAcidLimited

Lehult is back on the roll after living the rockstar life that naturally follows a sold out debut release. But just like with sex and marriage, it's the second time that you really have to make count: after some overwhelming feedback for Lucky Charmz' 'Follow Me To Flottbek Falls' EP, Lehult returns with a follow-up that adds some spin to the curveball. The 'Let's Get Playa' EP introduces three core members of the Lehult crew: Liem (pictured on the cover, Gin&Tonic in hand), Eddie Ness and Johan Kaseta all take their shots in mixed couplets, delivering some machine driven, sunlit house with a refreshing, ice cold splash. 'Bassforce XXL' sets up the A-sides' sunrise beach vibe with an uplifting chord progression and a fruity, dynamic bassline - the kind that makes a musician bounce around his studio grinning sheepishly, transporting that same effect to the dance floor. Then, A2 'M-Trax", while revolving around the same sunlit feeling, plunges deeper with swirling birdsong melodies and raw, thumpin' drums'n'congas. Almost a rhythm track, its' simple yet challenging structure - emotive chords, a yearning for the held off bassline - creates an absorbed moment on the dancefloor. The title track 'Let's Get Playa' on the B-side sees Eddie team up with Johan Kaseta-who has already silently put out a limited cassette beat tape on Lehult and has become infamous for his wild one-deck DJ-Sets. 'Playa' is a seductive cut of low-slung breezy house that doesn't fail to surprise - before sending you driving into the sunset on your quad with the EP's extra-long, wavey outro.

HouseDeepMinimalVocalTech

big with: Shin Nishimura, Mladen Tomic, Carlo Lio, Gregor Tresher, Patrick Lindsey, Andhim, Olderic, MiniCoolBoyz, Ellen Allien, Shinedoe,...
It could be a Monday. Maybe it is more like a Tuesday or any other day of the week. But it is certainly one of these days when your memory parades in front of you, full of emotions. And then the search for the traces begins. A few dozen pictures in your digital camera, your record case - still lying next to your front door. Handle with care. This side up. In your pocket, there is a flyer; on its back a short but treasured message 'thank you for the music.' Monika Kruse knows these days and moments. Her personal collection of memories as a DJ, musician and producer continues to give her the ideas, strength and dedication which music always demands. At the start of the nineties, Monika´s DJ life began with her as a resident at the Ultraschall Club in Munich. During the next years she published seven mix compilations and set up the record labels Terminal M and Electric Avenue. Her flourishing career took her East, several times, to Japan`s biggest indoor rave 'Wire', and Australia, as well as West, to the best Brazilian clubs. Back home in Berlin, she played in front of a crowd of 1.5 million ravers at the Love Parade, and at world-famous local clubs such as Berghain / Panoramabar, Watergate and Weekend. Now, twenty years later, she has put all of her traces and roots into her fourth artist album. All the beginnings, the ends, highlights, styles, and shadows/colours of her musical life. For Monika, words like deep house, techno, Drum & Bass or tech-house stand for hundreds of records, artists and parties. Traces she collected and digested at some time all put together as a whole.

HouseTechVinyl OnlyTechnoMinimalDub

Early support from Raresh, Akufen, and Jan Krueger, next up on Sol Asylum is non other
than Julie Marghilano with her Innerspace EP. Taking the listener to another dimension of
sound, she brings her range of musical knowledge to create a solid package with a stunning
remix from Fred P.
Starting things off on a analog journey with Innerspace' we move through an
interstellar universe with detailed grooves full of percussive splatters and echoing synths
that moves us into a dream like state of mind.
Conjuring the jazz planet in Berlin with Katzbachjazz'you are immediately transported
to a galaxy of sound with galloping percussion and a classic techno layout. Using more 909
techno drum elements she creates a whirlwind of sound with a delicate touch.
Taking things a little bit deeper with Cosmic Karma' she presents a heavily detailed
drum structure full of violin experimentation that creates a dark atmosphere but still
bringing an uplifting and joyous vibe.
Finishing off the package is something unique from Fred P who Julie asked to remix for
her due to her enormous respect for him. The emotionally charged remix of Cosmic
Karma' shows a different side of Fred P while still keeping his signature sound in tact.
The remix takes us through an ever-evolving voyage through time and space.

The new release from Berlin's The Chosen Two is a ride through a leisurepark of sights and sounds. It leads through 'Traumaland' - a Tribute to the lost children of the Ravegeneration - goes down to 'Weekend' - a more deeper souvenir from the 90s typical club organ sounds and finds its peak in 'Born inna Bassdrum' - filled with an energetic drum setup and a guitar riff where the people of the night can still look good, while playing the air guitar.

The Chosen Two laden ein auf eine Reise durchs 'Traumaland', einer elektronischen Ode an die Freiheit von musikalischen Grenzen. Zwischenstation: 'Weekend feat.

CPG003
Cosmig Pint Glass
12inch21.09.201521.SEP.15

HouseDeepTech

UK funk connoisseur Duke Slammer takes the driving seat on the 303-fueled 'Bangkok Skytrain', with remixes from Moscow based Simple Symmetry and returning artist Tony G. Inspired by tropical heat, Bangkok Skytrain utilises 303s, analogue drum machines and mixes in field recordings taken from an excursion to Thailand. The result is a heady concoction of warm basslines and humid atmospheres, with a groove reminiscent of early 90's melodic techno and a cheeky drum track that wouldn't be out of place on a Larry Heard record. Simple Symmetry, the Lipski brothers from Moscow, slowly rebuild layers of the track like a locomotive building up momentum, and in typical style Simple Symmetry style finding the perfect vocal sample and pan pipes that help propels you into the foreign lands. Before you know it the track is pumping at full chug! Tony G's take goes a bit further afield than the original. A dub rhythm sets the picture in outer-space. Hihats stutters like cosmic dust rickashading off the nosecone of the space ship while longing strings take us deep into a distant nebular before the 303 bring the thousands of new galaxies into view. Definitely music to listen to in the dark! Look out for the secret dancefloor weapon 'Just Drums', an industrial drum machine workout for the freaks!

Jody Barr - Room 108
KRANKBROTHER002
KRANKBROTHER
12inch18.05.201518.MAY.15

HouseDeepTech

The krankbrother label comes back out of the blocks this May, hot on the heels of their inaugural release (produced by krankbrother themselves), with a second offering, this time from young Welsh producer Jody Barr. Having been producing and demo-ing material for the last couple of years, Barr has been picking up some fans of late, including George FitzGerald and B-Traits, and this release on krankbrother marks his debut single, and a bright future.

With its heavy kick and growling sub-bass dominating the release opener, 'Room 108' smacks of 'big-room' in all the right places. Barr works the basic elements to maximum effect, serving up a hefty peak time track that straddles the line of house and techno with ease.

Continuing at this pace, 'Think About It' once more relies on the powerful drums for its impact, adding dramatic rising synths and sunrise strings to carve out a most hedonistic production, whilst the energy levels don't let up for one minute as 'Arizona Dream' fuses its dubby techno sounds with goose bump inflicting pianos and soft strings to memorable effect.

Jody Barr 'Room 108' is released on krankbrother on 18th May 2015 on 12' vinyl & digital download.

What's more, the package also comes primed with a fierce remix by none other than Chris Carrier - a man who knows a thing or two about quality-strewn house music. What's more, it also has a sprightly, chunky feel to it - making it the perfect accompaniment to a night on the dancefloor.
With 4 contrasting tracks all showcasing various different sides of the house music scale, this is also an EP that goes to some lengths to highlight the soul and depth of real house music. It's a pleaser of a record- but a soother too.

A Sagittariun - Elasticity
EDREAMSLP002 2X12"
Elastic Dreams
2x12inch25.04.201625.APR.16

HouseTechTechnoTechno

Ambient techno exponent, A Sagittariun, fires off another full-length album transmission this April on his own Elastic Dreams label. 'Elasticity' is the Bristol based artist's second long player, and the follow up to his acclaimed 2013 debut, 'Dream Ritual'. Having last released a trio of singles in early 2015 (for Hypercolour, Secret Sundaze and Elastic Dreams), 'Elasticity' marks a return for A Sagittariun, and fans of the slippery and elastic sounds that hallmarked his debut album will not be disappointed. 'Dream Ritual' helped firmly establish A Sagittariun as an artist whose musical chops and integrity operate largely outside of the mainstream and a producer who chooses to put the music firmly center stage, whilst opting to remain relatively anonymous within the music scene. A Sagittariun explains, Elasticity was recorded over quite a short period, but the sketches and ideas have been germinating for some time, so sonically it's very coherent and consistent and moves in a way that I personally like albums to move in, with a narrative and flow that holds you right to the end. The recipe for Elasticity was always to be malleable and pliable with the sounds and tempos, for me it's all about the listening experience, and creating a landscape and a world within that one can really get deep into and explore, it's optimistic and progressive music for the head, heart and feet. I really do advise the listener to don headphones and take the trip with me".

Adesse - Untitled Love Ep
PN20
Prime Numbers
12inch13.05.201313.MAY.13

HouseDeepChicagoElectronicaTech

Adesse has recently turned heads with his sought after and limited 'Versions' releases.
For Prime Numbers he brings another high quality ep featuring three more excursions.
The title track 'Untitled Love' is a dubbed up 90's-esque workout. Repetitive vocal samples swirl over a deep, low-slung bass groove & peak'd-up snares. Its an unashamedly wide eyed, bouncing production that'll please those checking for the current resurgence of raw garage sounds.

'Supernal' takes things into deeper territory with an intriguing steppers outing. The track oozes soul with rousing keys & smoked-out production that's all kept in line by a mesmerising, metronomic vocal. The set is closed by 'Metachemistry' an equally engrossing track utilising a shuffling groove wrapped in breathy, reedy horns & heavily reverbed percussion.
All told a deeply reverential release highlighting a producer with an obviously wide palette of influence & a natural feel for what simply works.

Beesmunt Soundsystem - Raindance, Borrowed Identity Rmx

PETS Recordings

HouseMinimalTech

Messrs David van der Leeuw and Luigi Vittorio Jansen have been making waves with their Beesmunt Soundsystem project, a lauded club night and DJ outfit that's grown into a behemoth, breaking out of the Amsterdam dance music scene in which they made their name. Now the duo are returning to Pets Recordings with their new Raindance EP. Beesmunt are used to controlling crowds and opening up the heavens with their eclectic, upfront and often frenetic style of house music. After releases on Soweso, Just Jack and of course last years huge Pets debut 'Bodyshape', Catz N'Dogz have invited this emerging tour de force back, to bring their upfront, pristine production skills for another slice of block rocking music. Opening cut 'Searchin' kicks things off. The deep and bubbling number is characterised by the duo's deep and bass heavy kick drums, with sweeping atmospherics, eerie vocal stabs and dusty, slo-mo drum claps. A mid tempo late night workout that touches all the right parts in equal measure as it blends house deepness with minimal pace. Title track 'Raindance' starts with thick and fattened kick drums, while ticking clicks, 808 modulation percussion and one hit bass getting gnarlier and more stripped back on every 4th beat, evoking the sweaty vibes that characterised their raucous parties back at home. Keeping true to its namesake on the flip, 'Ominous' takes a different approach, coming with a stripped back, sound design approach, building up ominously into unpredictable beats before their trademark kick drum - rough around the edges and dripping in analogue clarity - pitches the track up a notch and un-relents until the very end. Finally, Borrowed Identity enters with remix of Searchin', focusing on the atmospheric sweeps and vocal chops before dropping for a more 4x4 influenced workout, touched by hollow baselines and EQ's chords.

Chymera - The Divided Self

HouseDeepTech

Last spotted on Ovum just over a year ago with 'Moot Point', Irishman-in-Berlin Chymera returns with two more stately sonic workouts... We ignite with The Divided Self' is one of Chymera's personal favourite compositions from last year. Setting out with the simple mission to make a deep emotive track, it was one of those super-rare golden studio moments when everything came together in a matter of hours. Pensive and poignant, restrained and ruled by minor chords, the sense of melancholy makes even more sense when you understand the title: 'The Divided Self' is named after a groundbreaking book that discussed and explored mental illness in a way that, at the time, had never been done before. Next up is Canavan Calling", a track that's characterised by an incredible bassline that's so broad, rich and textured it's almost overwhelming. No surprises, then, that is created on an original Minimoog, an instrument Chymera fell in love with while he attended a Studio Stekker week alongside peers such as Mathew Jonson, Sebastian Mullaert and The Mole. Mutating, morphing and moving throughout, starlit synths soon enter the mix, soaring and thrusting further upwards to create a natural, rolling organic build up and pay off. Named after an obscure short horror story by Joseph Payne Brennan, the only thing horrific about this track is the price of an original Minimoog. Both cuts taking their titles from literary inspirations, both cuts revealing wholly different sides to Chymera, both cuts warming us up to the very bottom of our souls this winter... Both cuts demand your attention

HouseTechTechnoTechno

Cray76, Joakim's dance project, is back with a 2-track EP.
On the A-side, this is what we would call a banger here at Crowdspacer. Simple, stupid, raw, funky. Is it a tribute to New York Not sure but the B side certainly is. To be more precise it's a tribute to Merce Cunningham, the legendary choreographer, close collaborator of John Cage and genius thinker who inspired the name of the label. Based on a recorded lecture by Merce, the eponymous track is a slow, hypnotic and organic house groove, an ode to movement and NY avant garde, because "...Dancing is a visible action of life.

Deo & Z-man - No Bullshit Remixes Ep
HFNDISK13
HFN Disko
excl09.09.201409.SEP.14

HouseDeepMinimalTechSlowTechno

Deo & Z-Man, the blood-brothers from Hamburg, pulled off one of the most creative feats of last year with their debut album, 'No Bullshit', with zero BS but plenty of
inspiration, the pair melted together a range of
influences with a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour
for their underground opus. The remix LP to follow this EP solidifies their commitment to the eclectic,
drafting in friends and family like Lee Burton, Erobique and Tigerskin to rework the magic.
This 12" package of highlights from that the upcoming remix LP pulls together a selection of the ingenious remixes. 'Chopped Memories' transforms from a laid-back groove with elements of hip hop and the cosmic, to unhinged neo-electro in the hands of the mad scientist
ARTTU. Shading in the gaps with static, sirens, and serrated electro edges, ARTTU makes for a deeply memorable
and deeply quirky stomper.
Marc Schneider's masterful remix of 'Iced Out Space Lazerlights' riffs on the noodly, outer-space groove of the original, providing a solid 4/4 framework with space, deepness and real dancefloor compatibility.

SLG handles the delicate downtempo of 'Universal Neighbours' like a pro, using a light touch and playful keys phrasing to slowly transform the mood from pensive
to hopeful to positively uplifting, it's a deep house anthem in the making.
Smallville boss Julius Steinhoff finishes on a high by delivering a signature piece of tightly-wound deepness with his take on 'Tales Of Love'; scaling back the sunny retro-disco of the duo's original for a taste of the classy and classicist house that Smallville is known and loved for.

Jules & Moss - Double False Face
TOI007
Thrill Of It
excl30.06.201530.JUN.15

HouseTech1St@Vinyl

The Thrill of It label is delighted to be welcoming back Jules & Moss for a new remix EP of tracks from their Double False Face full length. Igor Vicente, Acumen and Marwan Sabb all step up to tackle the excellent title track.

French pair Jules & Moss have worked together since 2010 on labels like DirtyBid, Souvenir and Kittball records and have won acclaim from DJs and dancers alike for their fresh beats. This pair grew up with rock, jazz, classic and started playing drums and piano very young. They are situated at a crossroads of various influences and their style is characterized by a unique sense of atmosphere that never loses sight of the main things, namely groove and bass for dancing.

The title tack is a playful melodic jam with trilling pads and lush synths. Moody and beautiful, it is a truly emotional work. Igor Vicente then goes for a more minimal and stripped back affair with ghoulish synths, spooky samples and a n eerie, spacious groove that is hugely compelling.

Next up, acclaimed French producer Acumen gets all housey and elastic with his shapeshifting synths, slick drums and uplifting vocals .

All in all this EP breathes some great new life into the killer original.
