House Vinyl New Releases - News

Ten years after bringing his infamous live sets to the island he grew up, Paul Twin debuts with White Island, investigating further into the community's hidden secrets. Working patiently on his sound, bringing together his great sense of melody with production expertise, he is now ready to share his sounds with the mainland. While the highly anthematic Turbulence, on the B side, has been in the pipeline for years, it is the A side that presents his latest revelation, being his most confident cut to date. Since last autumn it could already be heard on small and big dancefloors all over the continent, quite often standing out because of its heavy drums and magnificent twist in the break. Altogether White Island is an EP that comes from a mix of patience and experience, breathing air in lost sounds, reminding as much of psychedelic forest forays as endless kitchen raves.

Three EPs on I'm a Cliché from 2012 and a bunch of EPs, tracks, remixes and edits on international imprints such as Correspondant, Relish, Days of Being Wild, Throne of Blood, Kill the DJ and more, made Red Axes gain respect throughout all the cold-ravers community.

'Kicks Out of You EP' is their fourth EP with the Paris-based boutique I'm a Cliché. It is their last DJ-friendly record (both vinyl and digital) before the awaited release of their first LP entitled 'Ballad of the Ice'. Three original tracks are included. They feature: a tune in Spanish in 'Candela Viva'; some spoken word in 'Kicks out of You' (courtesy of their Brazilian punk friend Abrão, the same who featured in their hit 'Caminho de Dreyfus'); and finally some unexpected samba beats in beautiful 'Too Late to Samba'.

The reason why these two young guys born and raised in Israel should be that attracted to Latin America is like the reason why they should be so interested in German and French coldwave and other underground genres from the seventies and eighties: it shall remain a mystery. Red Axes are space and time travellers. However, what they send us from their trips is far from the typical postcard or the beach selfie. On the dancefloor, their sound plays with our craving for darkness, our sense of fun and our blue feelings; it frustrates and obsesses us. And thanks to their incredible technique, their passion for the past and the remote translates into something that belongs to right here and right now.

""Dancing Again" was born from playing at Bugged Out Weekender a few years back. I was playing my version of Ron Costa — Gez Uri and Breach had given me a copy of his track "Jack". I think I was one of the first to have it and I just stuck the Jack vocal over the Ron Costa thing on the fly and when it dropped the place went mental.

From that, shit-loads of people kept sending me videos asking what this track was, so I thought fuck it, went into the studio and fucked about more with the Ron Costa record and put the Jack vocal on top and made it into an edit, which became the highlight of mine and a lot of my DJ friends sets.

Forward on a year and Tiga & Audion - "Lets Go Dancing" had just surfaced and it was massive. "Jack" was obviously a chart song by then so I had stopped playing it. I heard "Lets Go Dancing" and thought this could replace the Jack vocal So I messaged the lovely Tiga, asked for the a cappella and he obliged. I went back in the studio, edited the 'Jack' track with the Tiga vocal and the behemoth was born. So many people have been asking for this record so Disclosure and the Method boys came up with a plan to release it. All parties involved, Ron Costa, Tiga & Audion have all made the process of getting this record out to the people and now it's here and I hope people like it!"

Göttingen/Germany based sublabel of Shaker Plates "Rüttelplatten" comes out with a split Vinyl as a double release. This limited 200 piece edition featuring as the #003 an upcoming female Dj and producing talent from Dortmund/Germany. She´s called by her real name "Frau Schwarzmann" and has a big release vita so far. " No Comprende" is a banging floor filler with wonderful arranged shaking sound elements. Label owner Gunman gives his Remix a dark acid line and also shaking FX sounds for the right grooooove. The #004 side is an older project which did not make it on Gunmans "Daily Mirror" Album. A "Purity Ball" is a formal dance event attended by fathers and their daughters which promotes virginity until marriage for teenage girls. That´s ridiculous for us. Anyway...this sound issue is also pure and gives a feeling - but to dance free! So we are happy about the collaboration with our long close friends from Snuff Crew. These two funny guys have given their most favoured interpretation of an electronic dance groove - a generous helping of Jack!

After taking a short break, Blossom Kollektiv returns in 2016 with a brand new vinyl release from label co-founder Jepe titled KTMN. His follow up to last years Spring Shadow brings a solid deep and moody approach to house music that will work effortlessly in any DJ set. The four-track EP will whisk the listener off into a realm of pure imagination that they will leave from feeling very satisfied.

We start our journey off with the title track KTMN' which immediately grabs your attention with a powerful kick and playful percussion that moves us until the funky bassline jumps into play. Taking people straight to the dance floor with its incredible energy the track continues to take us to another place with tripped out synths that add the final flair of otherworldly bliss.

Next up is another interpretation of KTMN' with the No Lights mix. This version takes us much deeper in the world that was created from the original. This time without the funky bassline and a more tribal approach with the percussion we still are moved by it's sound waves. Except this time it is taking us to a more peaceful place with dubby pads that make the listener feel like they are floating on air while still keeping the fun and tripped out synths from the original.

On the flip side we are taken to a new Future City' that continues the deep vibes from the previous track. Capturing the listener right away with spacey pads and shaker percussion it takes us to a far off land where the music becomes our tool for discovery in this new city. As we continue to explore we keep finding new experiences throughout with cleaver synths that appear when we least expect it but bringing a new life to an already joyous voyage.

Finishing off on a high note with Lost Mind' we find a world of classic sounds but used in a rejuvenating way that makes them fresh and new. The classic guitar bassline is the heart of this more abstract number with psychedelic synths that take our mind off on an adventure where it's okay to get lost because you will only get lost in the music.okay to get lost because you will only get lost in the music.

Johnny Superglu's second release on Plynt, Rambo Village is his darkest work to date, a mysterious, ethereal and hypnotic urban safari infused with the post-industrial spirit of his hometown of Charleroi, a scarred, broken landscape of crumbling steelworks and decaying iron mills. Pressing a disparate variety of antique, analogue audio equipment into service, it's a piece of low-fi knob-twiddling shot through with the spirit of Chicago's House hey-day and iconic acid house with an instant dance floor feel. Enter a moist world of dancing red-masked devils, driven by a hypnotic & mysterious flow that will freeze your blood.

Kuba Sojka returns to the London based DMK label to deliver an impressive album of deep, techno inspired grooves.

collecting orders for repress! The third release of MD2. After the Red labelled MD2 and the Red/Black labelled MD2.2 its an all black labelled MD2.3. A 4 track ep with 4 straight techno tracks that are raw and effective! Killer dj tools to rock every dark basement.

It could be a Monday. Maybe it is more like a Tuesday or any other day of the week. But it is certainly one of these
days when your memory parades in front of you, full of emotions. And then the search for the traces begins. A few
dozen pictures in your digital camera, your record case - still lying next to your front door. Handle with care. This side
up. In your pocket, there is a flyer; on its back a short but trea sured message "thank you for the music." Monika
Kruse knows these days and moments. Her personal collection of memories as a DJ, musician and producer
continues to give her the ideas, strength and dedication which music always demands. At the start of the nineties,
Monika´s DJ life began with her as a resident at the Ultraschall Club in Munich. During the next years she
published seven mix compilations and set up the record labels Terminal M and Electric Avenue.

For their next release, Hot Creations call upon talented Italian duo Paul C & Paolo Martini, whose combined career spans over forty years in the business. True to their personal style and doing what they do best they deliver three tracks bursting with groove and energy, aimed solidly at the dance floor. Title track 'Get This!' bounces along a prominent bassline, progressing with trippy vocals that swirl into an epic build up, erupting for maximum destruction on the dancefloor. Over on the B-side 'Bull Revenge' swings with a standout groove, while last track 'Flying Lizard' rolls along effortlessly with the vocals once again providing a special element.

As part of Bini & Martini, Paolo Martini was without doubt one of the most prolific house producers at the turn of the century, touring the globe and lending their remix talents to major dance labels like Defected, Strictly Rhythm, AM:PM, EMI, Universal, Sony and many of the worlds biggest pop acts such Jamiroquai, Kylie Minogue, Terence Trent D'Arby, Murk, Armand Van Helden and many many more. Paolo is now the driving force behind his own imprint, Paul's Boutique.

Paul C has honed his production skills since the mid '90's and his energetic brand of tech house has seen him release on a host influential labels. Since 2009 the pair have worked tirelessly in the studio and not only seen their music supported by many of the industry's biggest names, but also seen their work feature on labels including Cecille Numbers,Terminal M, Materialism, Area Remote, AMA Recordings and of course Paul's Boutique.

Yukazu, a band formed by Lenuschka Krueger and Mike Hermann, look to combine the charm of French chanson with gypsy Balkan groove. The band was completed with the addition of Rafaele Castiglione who united the group like a kindred musical spirit. He reworked each track affectionately, telling his side of the story so you can look at it from a different angle.

To set the scene...the journey begins with 'Gari', when Lenuschka takes you by the hand and leads you through the crowded streets of Morocco. The track is riddled with pitchmen that only peak through from time to time and with the beautiful piano, the delayed guitar and the jumpy bassline you'll get lost in the charming atmosphere of this vibrant city. This track invites you to forget about your surroundings and to get up and dance in the middle of every crowded place.

As you gather your wits at the beginning of 'Pagaille', you will find yourself on a rousing ride through the countryside. More forward and driving, the second piece on this musical adventure is a ticket to a higher dimension. With short remarks from your tour guide, you will soar on the moving guitar line and float away across the country.

'Douleur Fantome' walks you to down the final stretch, lets you catch your breath and asks you for a last dance before you hit replay and start your journey all over again. With its unique accordion flavour you will be transported to a seat by the seaside where you can bury your feet in the sand and reminiscence fondly of your experience with Yukazu and Rafaele Castiglione. Come back as often as you want to indulge in this gift from a sublime union of brilliant musicians.

Göttingen/Germany based sublabel of Shaker Plates "Rüttelplatten" comes out with a new producer team called Starskie & Hagi - (st:rski: & ht ).
They met. They understood. And than it was soon clear that they should work together. Only the distance between Dusseldorf and Munich was a small problem. But the internet helped.
Here are the results: "Bogats Choint" with a Gunman Remix and "Feel This" with a M.in Remix.

Göttingen/Germany based subabel of Shaker Plates "Rüttelplatten" comes out with the second release. With a limited 200 piece edition on Vinyl "Rüttelplatten" presents a group of serbian artist. The Sleeper & the Djane Witchy are well known in their hometown Belgrad and the balkanian region.
With "Love" The Sleeper & Witchy bringing the young label a Deep Tech track with a nice whispering Vocal and shaking sound elements.
Label owner Gunman does the "Organ Love" Remix with a high energy groove.
Marko Vukovi does his "What Is Love" interpretation with nice delaying sound elements and a dark Vocal edit.
Vedran Puo does as a Band drummer a very cool cover and played his drums live for his "Love Drum" remix.

So these people are the new part of the Rüttelplatten Family. The next members are already in pole position.

Following the 2008 release Deep Vibes crew proudly presents the 2nd instalment of IN THE STREETS. This time split in two EPs, you can expect some dope tunes from EZIKIEL, MELON AND SASCHA DIVE.

Having already released records by Monomood and Kryptic Universe, shtum continues its trip through dark and gritty territories with its third record by Yor. And what he delivers is pure Techno-bliss. "Nachtwache" starts things off rather groovy with its Tom-heavy beats and rising synths. Following up, "Ritus" is driven by a hypnotic chord delay and makes an advanced Techno-track you can't resist on the dance floor. On the flipside it gets even more bewitching. "Agony" develops a never ending suction over its 8 minute length. This is music to get lost into. Finally, "Under The Influence" is no less mesmerizing but more playful Techno. It's a track that feels like a storm is coming. Once again, the illustration on the B-side label is by Aram Haydeyan.

ADAPTER MAKES HIS DEBUT ON DESOLAT Naples native Antonio Russo aka Adapter joins the Desolat family with a sublime four track EP entitled 'Gain'. With previous outings on the likes of Get Physical, Octopus or Viva, Adapter already proved to be in a rich vein of form, and here he goes one step further. A-side 'Gain' is a warbling peak time builder. A perfect combination of thudding techno bass, driving drums licks, and intricate and delicate synths. The ethereal breakdown will certainly give that all important dance-floor respite, before proceedings kick back twice as hard. 'Boomshake' is a rasping, percussive, tech-house weapon that is sure to be utilized throughout the coming months. It's long arching build ups give way to highly functional plateaus that will be well received by plarty goers. 'Knockout' is a jacky, staccato, hypnotic track that will allow DJs to take things a little left of center when the time is right.

Erster 12" Teaser von Daniel Bortz aus seinem kommenden Album "Patchwork Memories". Mit drei Tracks der dancefloor-orientierten Seite des Albums. Praktisch eine Triple-A-Side.

With the new 'Leo Dance EP' released on our rough'n'raw underground whitelabel sidekick UYX Series an old friend returns - the man his friends and parents know as Farid Boudinar whilst all lovers of quality electronic music between House and Techno are more familiar with his F.E.X. moniker. On the circuit for about 15 years now and backed by numerous releases on labels like Dessous Recordings, Brique Rouge, Systematic and many more our French fellow, who was also responsible for the very first UYX Series release back in 2013, unveils the more technoid side of his work, pleasing punters and DJ's alike with a purist attitude and delightful functionality. Opening with 'Leo Dance' we see hard hitting snare rolls, fast-paced drums and brooding, big room basslines going hand in hand with deep, yet uplifting synth works ready for lift off whilst slo-mo alien noises add a bit of a mystical, haunted athmosphere. Spine tingling peaktime pressure! On the flipside 'Overdeus' provides a more dry and stripped-down feel when minimalistic TechHouse meets a decent, ever busy and evolving main motif that's building up in waves providing constant change and excitement through a beautiful sequential arrangement of climax after climax after climax. Finally 'Puretec' enters darker, sci-fi influenced realms, keeping Techno floors in motion with a stone cold attitude, undulating strings and a perfectly crafted, uberly functional synth sequence that pays homage to the masters of Detroit Techno - a perfect tune for concrete underground basement venues immersed in fog and strobelights.

Forma's combustible mixture of lush synth explorations and frenetic rhythm has captivated the margins of the international synth scene since their acclaimed 2011 debut on John Elliott's Spectrum Spools label.
Following 2012's dark and penetrating OFF/ON, the trio set a direct course toward the shadowy perimeter of the dance floor, with John Also Bennett replacing original member Sophie Lam. FORMA's celebrated live performances -- extended improvisational journeys veering from the ecstatic to the foreboding -- draw techno, noise, and synth disciples into their realm. We first heard Forma at a live show at their headquarters--Bushwick's monumental live-work space and performance venue The Schoolhouse. After one of their shows this winter, members of the group revealed that they had been working on music that didn't really fit into an album format, but would work as a 12' aimed more at dancefloor audiences--and that's what you have here: two epic 15 minute tracks of blissed out kosmische techno.

Heiko MSO teamed up again with his friend and part of "Destillat", Michael Laven to deliver us another great release called "Free Your Mind".

MODERNISTA make a very welcome return after dropping their now classic debut 12 on us last year The architect of that raw late 80's machine music homage, Paul Bennett is back in charge here One of Paul's formative influences during his youth was the music made by the first wave of techno producers from Detroit. This release attempts to bring back some of the drama and pure funk of that sound. Electronic music for the head, heart and feet. Immaculately programmed Maydayesque drum machines, emotive & expansive pitch bent synths, thundering low frequencies and clanks galore. This is a supercharged rewiring of the Detroit blueprint in three startlingly well executed flavours Maintaining their commitment to the highest available quality, not only have the label drafted in the formidable sonics of Linkwood studios in Edinburgh, they've also engaged the peerless FST @ Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin to handle Mastering. This and a beautifully designed sleeve add up to a 'must have' for any serious fan of Modernist music

label head Robert Drewek gives his debut on Housewax - together with Robin Scholz.

Re.You is back amongst the Mobilee fold with a third instalment of his signature dark and heavy-hitting dancefloor beats. His masterful EP Mind Your Head topped the charts in 2012, and this year's drum-heavy summer smash Anyway remains a firm DJ favourite, even as the nights get longer and the season comes to a close. Do I Know takes the classic Re.You formula of walloping kicks, freewheeling drums and spacious sound design and reworks it with a deep autumnal mood. The foundations of 'Do I Know' are formed around a thick rubbery bassline and clipped percussion before spiralling off into twisted dancefloor trickery; Skewed voices, wonky keys, and a broken breakdown melody. 'Hurt Me' hones in on jungle drums and whispered voices for the ultimate alternate reality. Sounds and melodies bubble and float as if somewhere underwater, and a heavy bassline helps the track to plunge even further into deepness. 'The Whistle' is a deep tribal jam with crystal-clear percussive layers and evocative nature sounds that take it right to the middle of a secret voodoo ritual. It's a haunting trio that affirms Re.You as one of tech house's brightest rising stars.

TLIM SHUG, a new artist dwelling in cassette tape sounds, 303 drums, and thick pads, he doesn't fail to deliver atmosphere and capture just the right feel with his tracks. With a unique name and even more unique sound, this is an artist you should definitely keep your eye on.

Vinyl Only 180g Heavy Black Vinyl / Hand Numbered & stickered

Following up to our heavyweight, twenty track strong digital compilation album Diary 5 and starting our vinyl year 2k16 is A Selection Of Diary 5 - a carefully picked selection featuring four highlights taken from the digital release to cater the needs of all vinyl loving DJ's collectors out there. The journey begins with Data Loss", the most horrific thing in the digital age but Pascal Hetzel's tune of the same name is nothing horrific at all. Sweet analogue chords and a nice, slightly Acid-infused Chicago-vibe turn this one into a must for all dancefloors dedicated to deeper grooves. Representing Italy on this four track piece is Acirne. Her track Morla' is nothing short of a massive roller dedicated to all DJ's and clubbers who're in for a more functional attitude throughout the darkest hours of a proper night out when all they need is provided by melancholia-induced strings and a sparkling synth sequence. Mass Digital are on Rotation' with their contribution to this 12 vinyl and will be loved by punters and DJ's alike for their highly functional approach, lush bass work and loose tribal vibes as well as their huge, off-kilter synth sweeps and spiralling sirens. This one's for the small hours. The final cut Knowledge Is Free' is quite a statement of a track crafted by the production team Haiku575 & Luca Saporito which will brighten the hearts of all digital natives whilst played out during sexy late night sessions in underground venues all around the globe. A message that unites people, like music does.

Splittang, the Utrecht way of splitting, and we are splitting flavors on this EP, with 2 SlapFunk soldiers from the beginning.. Daniele Temperilli drops 3 dry minimalistic raw house tracks, and Stooge Wilson will get you dancing with his own typical style.

For its third release the already closely followed Rhythm Cult label turns to much loved Berlin based Canadian Deadbeat. For more than a decade now the man born Scott Monteith has been releasing a solid stream of EPs and 9 LPs for labels such as ~scape, Wagon Repair and his own BLKRTZ. In that time he has become one of dub's most revered practitioners, has headlined everywhere from Mutek Montreal to Barcelona's Sonar and remains an essential, ever evolving talent.Opening up this tidy three track affair is 'Hot Mass', a static ridden, urgent feeling dub cut with thumping kicks, skewed synth stabs and swathes of reverb and textural layering that really stand it apart. It's the sort of peak time back room bomb that will work wonders on the heads.
Then comes 'Deep Space', a much more heads down affair that tunnels deep into a humid, sleek dub cavern. Subtle, deeply buried percussive sounds add to the infectiousness of the groove and Deadbeat's trademark synths slowly emerge from below to envelop the drums and flip things into cantering, frictionless techno mode.Lastly, '7th & 33rd' is a much more prickly, bristling, broken beat affair with a keen sense of afro rhythm, tribal chanting and hiccupping drums that all tumble around each other in captivating and hugely original ways. This is another inventive EP that covers lots of ground in plenty of style. Both Deadbeat and Rhythm Cult, then, have come up trumps

Congratulations you have successfully unlocked your Fire Chakra!! Ekranoplan

With Bluntman round the corner, the wicked mistress of the sea rears her head with the lowest subs heard in the depths of the Caspian sea...we present to you, Ekranoplan...

'Just as the Scotch fear the Loch Ness monster, the coastal folk of the Caspian have long lived in the shadow of this great colossus. A mythical aircraft of gargantuan proportions, the Ekranoplan now lies at rest amid the discarded rubble of the Soviet dream. This EP paints a more gentle, playful picture of the monster and it's mysterious aeronauts.'.

Handstamped, Vinyl Only.

Recycle Records returns with a Fantastic 4 track EP from Italian duo Fideles (Upon You, Sincopat, Snatch!, Little Helpers, Material, Moan). Excellent deep-tech and minimal groovy tracks.

After a string of stellar releases with Proper Trax, Cult Trip, and Mystical Disco, Grey People graces CGI with his latest. Raised in Chicago and currently residing in Nashville, Alex Michalski treats us to another side of his sound as he completely forgoes sampling to give us four tracks of raw, stripped-down machine funk. The tunes presented here are culled from various hot and humid sessions in his home studio, armed with an arsenal of equipment old and new and cultivating a sound as diverse as it is nasty. Witness the pluralist industrial jackin' utopia that is Grey People—from the crunchy, dissonant piano stomp of "Trench Foot,' and the equally crunchy, driving, new wave dirge of 'Moonstruck,' to the cosmic drift and thump of "Lock the Box" and the funked up FM slap-bass of "Wild Intentions."

Eyes of My Eyes returns with 002, presenting three original compositions by Uncanny Valley artist Jacob Stoy. L'estasi Dell'oro marks his presence again with one new work of his own to complete this musical pathway to the outer cosmos.

Very Limited release in this vinyl only series from Lowroom. 4 big dance floor bangers from Jerome.c , Hector and Fabrizio Maurizi. Already supported by Marco corolla & Loco Dice.

SHIFT Ltd has already created quite the stir with its inaugural outings. The Italian imprint, owned and helmed by Gianluca Marcelli in collaboration with Francesco Gori , has already featured originals and remixes by the likes of Fabio Della Torre, Nasty Boy and DJ Spider, but it's their latest - a 4-track Various Artist EP - that looks set to cement their fledgling status as house purveyors of some repute.

Kicking off the EP is the sounds of Jordan Fields; a man who needs no introduction to fans of quality-strewn house music. The US native has been on a rich vein of form recently, with his productions - most notably on Dutch imprint Rush Hour - landing in the boxes of some of the scene's most celebrated acts. His purple patch very much continues unabated on 'Stay On The Path', a whimsical, almost celestial track that makes smart use of a series of analogue chords and a ubiquitous melodic charge.

Capitalising on the package's early promise is the aforementioned Gianluca Marcelli, who opts for a more uptempo - albeit ominous soundscape - on the snare-soaked 'Gangsta'. Stuffed to the brim with groove-soaked sounds and a mound of clever claps, it saunters at a swaggering and charming pace that's difficult to find fault with.

Little Hado's majestic 'Curtea Interioara' is another sophisticated slice of party-starting house music, with its brash kicks wonderfully at odds with its sporadic piano flourishes. Finally, DNArT's 'Planet' - complete with its twinkling, sonic soundscapes, its futuristic leanings and its bassline-led charge - forces obvious parallels with vintage Red Planet records; both in title and in sound. Make no mistake about it: this is classy stuff that's been tailor made for the more discerning side of the house music spectrum.

Vinyl only. Recruited by Chez Damier at a very young age to release on Balance, Jorge Caiado took on the house and techno pioneers' teachings to shape his own sound. Also early on he got involved with the local scene by joining Groovement, where he releases music and also helps to develop the artistic side of the label.

His new 'Sunny days are coming' 3 track EP refers to the beautiful Lisbon light but also to the idea of his music being a deep but uplifting journey full of discovery. It is clear that Jorge's sound is always evolving, be it in house or techno realms, therefore this new record raises the bar once by exploring the edge of electronic music field.

Tested with great reaction at LUX dancefloor in Lisbon, this EP will appeal to classic Balance fans but will go beyond by reaching Detroit and Berlin music aficionados also.

Der HUT proudly presents Maksim Dark & Hernan Bass on his record no. 23. The producer of the dreams comes along with this thriving and dark tune and leaves us with a great, weird atmosphere.
