HEAVILY HAMMERED BY SVEN VATH AT COCOON!

After debuting on Rebirth with their new alias Easy to remember (inspired by the famous song from St Germain of the same name) Niro and Elia Perrone release now on their own Unclear label. The EP contains two originals backed by three remixes. Royal Rumble''s obscure synth melody and obsessive pitch changes pave the way to sinister background noises and beats, whereas Jazz Cowboys''s free style drumming, syncopated rhythm and xylophones blur the line between House Music and free improvisation. Minimono's remix of Royal Rumble' brings the kick drum to the fore and adds a staccato bass line coupled with some stop & gos that spice up the vibe of the track. Giulio Etiope's rendition of Jazz Cowboys' adds some deep pads, flute sounds and a trumpet sample leading into a dreamy break, with Def Safari's dark rework turning it instead into a galloping percussive tool.

Exotic Refreshment presents Symmetry, the new EP from talented producer and vocalist Eluize, The moody dreamscape, inspired by her fascination with the connection & pattern in all things, is a dark, beautiful journey of ethereal arpeggios, distant strings and vocals from Eluize. Limited stamped 12" vinyl includes a bold acid techno rework from Sweden's Hans Berg (Klasse Recordings / Trunkfunk / Kant Recordings / Get Physical Music), and a groove-driven house shaker from London's Cera Alba (Gruuv / VIVa MUSiC / Alive Recordings / Electronique).

Detroit's Jared Wilson provides the 10th release for Super Rhythm Trax and it lives up to it's title. On "Plate Mining" and "Idea Of A Deep State", Jared goes in deep with lush, strings that sooth you as the 303 works it's magic underneath. while "How Deep" provides a brooding Acid Line and works the percussion. Minimal but deadly. Jared has long been on the SRTX want list after proving himself as a master craftsman with a slew of classy releases on his own 7777 label. Super Rhythm Trax is overjoyed to have him on the roster being one of the most skilled knob twiddlers out there who knows how to work it but also and perhaps more importanty, when to hold back.

Big follow-up of Dolly Dubs 1 by Dutch hero Martyn! Both 'Newspeak' and 'What is room 101' will be creating many special moments on dancefloors worldwide in 2013... ecstatic contemporary house tracks making you remember once again what this music is all about. Never On A Sunday is one of many names used by Detroit's Burden Brothers otherwise known as Octave One, a project that has been running since the early 90's. Fans of Detroit Techno and House will already be familiar with the brothers output over the last 20+ years and "Day By Day" has long been at the top of the wants list for lovers of the Motor City sound since it's 1992 release on 430 West.

Clocking in at six tracks and straddling a more melancholic, deep House / Garage sound than the Burden's Techno outings "Day By Day" is a complete journey on one EP, a mini epic. From the sax and piano jamming "Jackie's Theme" and the introspective and rolling "Carnal Pleasures" through to the airy, melodic groove of "In The Breeze" featuring frequent collaborator Lisa Newberry's instantly recognizable vocals the whole record sits perfectly as one piece with each track complimenting the other beautifully. A real treat for Detroit lovers or those who have a fond ear for the deeper and more emotive side of electronic music.

Already a Techno living legend from Italy Sossa don't need any introductions for vinyl Djs, most not to say all his releases only vinyl since 1994 excluding a couple of years he took a break to do the soundtrack of a very known Italian movie. With latest releases on Minisketch, Moon Harbour, Isgud and many more including also his single "Rain" from our Ibiza Sampler 2013.

The second single release from Thomas Schumachers critically acclaimed album STAND UP is a collaboration featuring none other than the fabulous Chelonis R. Jones.

Chelonis is an electropop musician, painter, poet, singer, songwriter and producer. Born and raised in California and New York, he is currently living in Europe. Thomas and Chelonis first crossed paths when Thomas remixed his song"Black Sabrina" in 2005 and again while they were releasing on Get Physical. Right at the begining of the recordings for STAND UP, Thomas produced a playback specifically with Chelonis in mind, imagining his unmistakable falsetto voice, referencing Curtis Mayfield. Chelonis was immediately on board and very soon after delivered the amazing performace that is, IS YOUR KETTLE ON

The original album version is a sparse piece of Electronica driven by an old school, downtempo 808 beat with an outstanding, emotional vocal performance from Chelonis R. Jones.

With remixes from Kris Menace, Douglas Greed, Kai von Glasow and Thomas Schumacher himself, the fifth release on Electric Ballroom will be out in july 2013

Another release to welcome this summer with an incredible amount of tech groove by the hand of well know producer M.in, who paired up this time with the Wild & Kins duo to deliver three fantastic tracks for this 12' plus digital release. The first one is a solo work by M.in called Forgive Them, in which we can appreciate how a simple but strong low-end work can be more than enough to literally destroy the sub-low system of a night club. It exhales a superb party groove with a great dark vibe driven mainly by the percussions, but also the vocal phrase brings its own to help compose this fantastic underground feeling. The second track is another solo track but from Wild & Kins duo named Jumpin' Around! The percussions have a major role to construct the rhythmic foundation of this track, which gets completed by a funky but obscure bass line. The structure in general has a sexy deep and slow-mo feeling, but it's a perfectly constructed tech groove to enjoy and let the vocals during break do their job of empower the audience to the perfect blast right after it. The last and third track is Roadhouse, the one that carries the EP name and also the one that is a full collaboration between M.in and Wild & Kins. It has a similar groove to the previous ones but with a stronger tech house approach, especially in the bass line and also with the addition of a subtle female vocal that appears right after the first quarter of the track, during the first break, and goes evolving softly with a filter that increases and release the tension when is needed. This is definitely a fantastic track for the dance floor that will make the audience raise their hands with a big smile on them. A very complete and quality piece of work from these great talented artists to bring without question into to any respected music collection.

Desolat are proud to present Martin Buttrich & Mousse T on the 'Session 1. The term extra-special is bandied about far too often these days, but in this case it fits the bill perfectly, as the latest offering from Desolat sees Martin Buttrich come together with long-time friend, and house legend Mousse T on the 'Session 1. Few producers have had the longevity and success of these German heavyweights and this two track 12 set for release on October 14th , sees both producers release their first original material in over two years and demonstrate why they remain two of the most highly-regarded producers in the scene. Title track 'Sunseeker' kicks off the EP in fine style with a teasing guitar riff which is supplemented by resounding pulses of warm bass. Further elements are expertly added into the equation soon enough, such as a warped spoken word vocal and numerous melodic textures and trippy flourishes which all come together, building and yielding as the track drops back into its rolling sun kissed groove. On the flip-side is 'Smack Back', which is marginally the more restrained of the two tracks on offer, characterised by a succession of subtle misshapen sounds, twisted effects and an ascending synth which compliments the punchy percussion and melodic stabs. 'Session 1 is a classy 12 on which the personality of both producers shines through equally. While the groove and energy of Mousse T is clearly evident, then Martin Buttrich's deft production touches and subtle nuanced sounds are also there for all to hear. Cover painting by Luio Onassis. For this edition we have the pleasure to bring a fantastic collaboration from two of most respected producers worldwide. We are talking about Todd Bodine, part of the well know Highgrade Records label and of Mihai Popoviciu, one of the most talented Romanian producers that constantly presents new edgy productions with a very characteristic style. Their Shadow Of Your Soul EP includes one original and two remixes. The original production is an intricate composition of several percussion layers and analog synths that generate both the baselines as the synths in the background. The sum of all the elements creates a floating vibe driven by an extremely groovy base and bass lines that will immerse you into a crazy party trip. The first remix comes by Argentinian duo Re Us, who focused on the most rhythmic elements of the original track to create a fantastic deep tech work that is moved by a profound deep bass line. They also took the backend fxs elements from the original track, gave them a twist, and created a terrific groovy and trippy vibe for this track. The second remix was in charge of another well know and experienced Argentinian producer, Juan Zolbaran, who went through a deeper road with his remix, focusing also in the rhythmic aspects, but adding a few ambiences and pad layers that gives a great deep house touch to the track and to the whole ep for sure. Definitely and superb release with quality productions from the original to both remixes, a true must have for this spring.

Metereze keeps a steady path of releases and this time around it is young star Vincent Iulian who picks up the ball and delivers four astounding tracks on his Four Quarters Ep. Also a native of Bacau like Dubtil and Raresh among others Vincent has already released on labels like Naural or Moment.

Started is probably the grooviest of them all and for sure you've heard it before if you've been attending the right parties. Breaking the boundries between techno and house this is a true masterpiece. On the same side he also shows a more relaxed atmosphere filled with jazzy percussions and easy synths. Stors kinda makes you stop and dream for a while.

First on side B we have another dancefloor monster. No more is is driven by a hypnotic synth and infused with enough drums to keep you on the move for the whole 7 minutes. Le van a cantar keeps the catchy driving mood but this time Iulian explores a more broken path. Bubbly voices, snares and a haunted synth emerging now and then make this corner as interesting as the rest.

Four Quarters is a must have for any serious collector. Not to mention if you're a dj.

Watergate records returns with their fourth vinyl edition. Once again it focuses on exclusive tracks from the highly successful mix CD series, named simply after the club: Watergate.

You can't touch it or see it but yet you feel it and it enchants you. Evren Ulusoy, the confirmed master of the deep delivers up the second release on I Records 2012 Vinyl 12" series. In this edition we feature Evren's modern day tale "History of Love". This is of course told in his undeniable sophisticated deep house style.

After a year's silence, FTWR Recordings is proud to announce the release of its second EP. FTWR has chosen to work with an extremely talented french artist from Nantes : Môme
A year has just ended for him as well, with some notable EPs on labels like 4Lux, Housewax and Fragil Music. On this particular EP, the first track « For One Day » is sensual and bewitching. The remix offered by the very talented Jonas Sella is a good example of originality and intricacy. The track takes you between Micro-House and Dancefloor. Welcome back Mr. Quenum! It's been roughly two years now since the Geneve-based artist, DJ and producer released made his Upon.You debut with his single Rhyme' in summer 2013 and we're extremely thrilled to see his forthcoming three track 12 Trouble' causing serious dancefloor trouble again this fall. Getting started with Colour Pulp' there's no doubt that Quenum is in for some serious action here, fusing an uncomprising, yet minimalistic, hard pumping TechHouse foundation, well-tripping vocal bits and a highly percussive killer build-up sequence this tune is crafted for late nothing but late night abuse. The title track Trouble' also relies on Quenum's rolling trademark minimalism and obscured, morphing ethereal voices but adds a little bit of tribal seasoning here and there that perfectly floats alongside quirky synths and a steamy, fever'ish feel that keeps bodies pumping and palpitating through the night until the morning comes. Functional as functionality can get. Finally Geneve Never Sleeps' speeds up things on a darker, more technoid level where a dark'ish intro built from muffled bassdrums meets scattered, futuristic percussions before shrieking stabs and scarce, ghostly sounds take over and the unstoppable Techno engine starts to run. Proper machine music that is nothing but pure energy!

Mojuba sub label a.r.t.less welcomes another addition to the label roster, but dutch Techno boss Darko Esser is no stranger to the game. In more recent time he showcased his talents under the acclaimed Tripeo moniker, but now it's time to unleash a powerful and very emotional EP under his original name. The Wolfskuil & Balans cofounder turns in two tracks for his label debut that will catch your attention right away, being capable to maintain any crowd from sunny festival ravers to lost in a moment underground clubbers!

Final chapter of the Monday Night Records series

The second installment of Uzuri's 'The Wilderness Sessions' delivers 3 tracks geared towards the refined dancers and listeners of the world. The idea here is slow burning broken beat tracks infused with the soul of jazz and funk.
The EP opens with Fox 'N Hound, a slightly menacing and equally sexy jam which ebbs and flows with a delightfully funky bass line and enough melodic accents to keep full attention. The secret here is in the details which are craft-fully manipulated by this talented duo.
Futonjam continues the trend of beautifully unfolding composition with its shuffled percussion and gracefully evolving melodies. A perfect track for home listening and for those deep sultry moments on the dance floor.
The crown jewel of this release is certainly the near 9 minute odyssey that is Zukunft/ Silber. A track which entertains and pushes towards a sophisticated style which is undeniably unique in approach. Using broken patterns as a back drop for beautifully orchestrated strings, micro flutes and longing horns it transforms from a sweet and delicate sound to something more demanding of our bodies movement.
This release will be sure to mark the beginning of what we can expect from these two producers who clearly aim to set themselves apart from the crowd.

Richard Fearless delivers some Transatlantic love with his third Drone instalment, and the fifth release from this growing label. Overview Effect is dubbed out Detroit-esque techno with with an epic two and half minute string workout and a cognitive shift to pure Fearless magic.Metal Dub is stripped-down, metallic, hypnotic techno with haunting pads, and it's been smashing it in the darkest of rooms of late. Shinedoe - Illogical Directions

A day in the life of Shinedoe, expect anything. With dance music currently exploding
into a multi coloured crossbreed it's tempting to take things as far as possible. And
that's exactly what this Amsterdam based DJ does on her long awaited third album.
Illogical Directions is about letting go, about an artist completely liberated in her studio,
making music by the heart and processing all her experiences into one impressive trip.
For sure, the third time's a charm.

Another lesson learned, to pigeonhole Shinedoe is merely impossible after listening to this
record. Unlike ten years ago, when she made her way to DJ stardom with the release of the
omnipresent club hit Dillema, soon followed by debut album Sound Travelling. It made her
one of the faces of the soon wildly popular minimal sound -techno music in a stripped but
extremely funky manner was a specialty reserved for a DJ like Shinedoe.

Stronger than the music itself, she kept reinventing herself. Techno and house music remained
her foundations, from there the Dutch notoriety took her grooves to a completely other level.
In 2010, sophomore album No Boundaries saw Shinedoe venture into more rooted genres like
jazz, funk and dub. Her true identity was emerging, things were getting even more interesting.

Illogical Directions
Now, four years later, precisely in the year Shinedoe will be celebrating the tenth birthday of
her renowned imprint Intacto Records*, she's made a journey further down that path. As if
she's completing a trilogy, the album Shinedoe has shaped is nothing less than the
culmination of everything she stands for. A tour de force of highly organic dance music
bringing together the euphoria of club music with moody, more introvert songs. Illogical
Directions is, simply put, exactly the album you'd want Shinedoe to make.

'When I produce music, it comes from my heart and soul', she explains. 'I don't want to
make rational choices, it's important the music can move in any direction, even if it doesn't
really make sense. It's the only way to completely feel free, to avoid getting trapped in some
sort of format. As a result, these new tracks all have their own feeling and identity, you can't
label them to one particular sound. It definitely was a challenge bringing them all together,
but it works!'

The most extraordinary about this, the typical Shinedoe sound is still intact, even when she
impressively demonstrates all her various sounds within the first couple of tracks. Kicking
things off with the slowed down, dubby track Release Yourself and the mechanical house tune
Essence, there's immediately a certain tension building up. The jazzy deephouse of Alto
Parisio takes things further, followed by the just as incredible Discourse My New Romance, a
dark and twisted dancefloor track featuring The Knife's Karin Dreijer.

From that moment on, anything can happen. Sleek deephouse (Panomanic, Fe-Male, the
beautiful anthem-like Not So Far), cool electro (Pressure Dome) as well as classic house with
a soulful touch (Circle Of Life featuring the infectious vocals of Miss Bunty). It's more
mesmerizing and melodic than ever, even though Shinedoe also enters a darker and more
gritty world with tracks like God's Love and Get Dirty -another uncharted terrain she's
familiarized herself with.
As said, Shinedoe has surpassed expectations. Illogical Directions takes you to loads of
unexpected sensations with a collection of music you rarely hear put together. But she's done
it, delivering an album that pulls you up and brings you back down again. So, whatever you
have in mind, get ready for one of 2014's most ingeniously crafted dance albums, presenting a
variety of emotions unusual in this particular genre. Some illogical directions indeed, but we
love it.
