Tim Tama is back with a four track EP called Phases Of The Tide, which is his first release on his own newly created imprint "Dreamscape Music". In these four tracks, the Dutchman further explores and delivers his signature blend of dream-like melodies coupled with pummeling drums, and occasionally even making use of his electric guitar.

Revered UK label, tastemaker and authority Renaissance, the label that has not only been at the forefront of the electronic DJ scene but documented its navigation into popular culture have honored a landmark 25 years by inviting Hamburg based DJ and super producer Solomun to rework a timeless classic - one of a number of tracks that shaped the labels early years. The timeless classic Jam & Spoon Watch Out For Stella Mix is featured on the B Side.

A constant innovator, Solomun; whom himself has played an equally major role in redefining European house music spoke of the challenge when faced with the prestigious role of reworking one of the most influential tracks in electronic music, for a new generation.

Solomun’s enormous and poignant remix has already been a key track for selected DJ’s over the last few months including Tale of Us, Dubfire, Maceo Plex, Sasha and Pete Tong whom made it last weeks coveted Essential New Tune.

After an intensive 2019, which saw Michal Wolski release a number of EPs, he’s starting 2020 with a return to Boddika’s Nonplus Records with ‘Chant’ - a 12 filled with deep, driving, detailed Techno. This new release, explores more nuanced and hypnotic territories of electronic music, placing off-beat and ambient structures alongside 4x4 Techno rhythms.

‘Chant’ is a sonic experimentation with modular synthesizers and a plethora of modern, digital-era tools.

In addition to Wolski’s original work, is a remix from one of the most visionary modern Techno producers of our time, Anthony Linell, co-founder of the Northern Electronics record label.

After 10 years at the helm of the venerable label Scandium Records whose techno Productions marked the electronic scene, Paul Nazca is a new challenge: to start from zero and create a label alongside his sidekick studio Maxime Dangles & Florian Combe. Programme: the music came first, fresh, dynamic, varied. The artistic choices are made on favorites guided by the desire to share our passion. The title track (A1) Changa Maranga is a percussive, slightly latin flavored ode to the ancient rituals of tryptamine inhalation.

The legendary British producer Aubrey has delivered a superb remix (A2) of this by keeping the spacey pads but turning it into his own signature deep and quirky techno sound.

aiming at being used in the club. techno maverick scuba, for example, turns the track with his »pulse mix« into a straight and dense march, whereas atom™ himself shakes the groove out of »riding the void« with his own two lighthearted remixes. his »nought remix« presents itself as slimmed-down yet very vibrant, while »tool« is a perfectly dance floor-ready reinterpretation of the original track. further more, an additional remix by hanno Leichtmann can be found on the digital version of the release.

Vertical is Caterina Barbieri's debut album and it was composed for vocals and Buchla 200 modular synthesizer. Vertical takes a meditative approach to primary waveforms and the polyrhythm of harmonics, stretching the boundaries between drone, minimalism and techno in multichannel systems. This minimalistic focus arises from the polyrhythmic and stratigraphic potential of voltage-controlled sequencers.

Synthesis, drone and immersive listening are three fundamental conditions to enhance an advanced auditory art, not based on extrinsic links but solely built on the experience of the spectrum, able to develop our very limited ability of perceiving the vertical domain of music, involving us in a holistic way. Caterina Barbieri (*1990) is a composer and performer of electro-acoustic music. Mostly interested in modular synthesis, three-dimensional spatialisation and psychoacoustic aural sculpture, her music arises from a meditative approach to primary waveforms and the polyrhythm of harmonics.

She received a degree in classical guitar and electro-acoustic music at the conservatory of Bologna, Italy (plus an exchange programme at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden) with a thesis about time, space and spectrum in vertical music. She's currently attending a bachelor in literature and she’s active as audiovisual artist, acousmatic composer and guitarist. Her work has been commissioned and performed in festivals and venues of experimental music.

Punctual like a Swiss watch, Driftmachine presents a new album that once again astounds and delights. We know their trademark: solid mechanical percussions, forceful bass and melodies systematically built around circular patterns. "Spume & Recollection" is the sixth Umor Rex album by the Berlin duo, and what better way to celebrate the label's 15th anniversary than with a new record from the masters of labyrinthine cables and patches. Regarding "Nocturnes" (UR 2014), their debut album, we described their sound as precise and symmetrical, identical concrete blocks mounted and articulated in a random order. Their already obsessive style continued to evolve with their third record, "Colliding Contours" (UR 2016), now pushing further into abstract dub, ultra-tense grooves, and even more kinetic loops, moving further away from conventional musical structures. Between these two albums they released the remarkable "Eis Heauton" (UR 2015), a kind of hypnotic experiment informed by shadowy atmospheres, chance, and an intuitive dialogue with their musical machines, a unique situation in which they acted as bemused observers in hunt for epiphanies, resulting in an exquisite amalgamation of lucid dream-logic and mechanical precision. A one-of-a-kind soundtrack for minute and wordless scenes unfolding in pitch-black back alleys and hidden, alchemical basements. A similar map was explored with "Shunter" (UR 2018), a superb secret meeting between avant-garde phantasmagoria and concrete experimentation. "Radiations" (UR 2017) offered B-sides and bonus tracks, in addition to collaborations with Shackleton and The Sight Below, a kind of preamble that united Driftmachine’s different expressions and leanings.

When Andreas Gerth and Florian Zimmer come up with new material, one listens with high expectation. Looking back on their discography, one could safely anticipate a high quality album densely layered with their familiar leitmotifs. And yet, "Spume & Recollection" takes us by surprise and finds a new way to transfix. Fresh methods and ideas are introduced to their dynamics and formula. Yes, of course, you can still expect a healthy dose of kosmische, which is one of the dominant features in Driftmachine’s DNA; but this is now entwined with novel materials, semi-material patterns of alien code stretching over exhilaratingly tense and detailed grooves, clouds of gas shifting on top of deep dub architecture and blocking out the sun for prismatic effect. Even more of a surprise is the immediate, streamlined nature of these tracks, making "Spume & Recollection" their most accessible record and, perhaps, the most addictive (and this without sacrificing the essential mystery and strangeness at the core of Driftmachine’s sound).

We have previously described their work as post-industrial-dub; right now, we might just call it hypno-music for man and machine to dance and dream together. "Spume & Recollection" takes this concept as far as it can go without breaking, and finds some strange new feelings, and weirdly danceable grooves, to shed some light on this dark and dazzling ride.

Mountain Explosion Device returns with a vengeance. Label boss, Swedish-Sri Lankan artist Kalawila explores the abyss with 'Lönnmördare fick betalt i frimärken', a slow building, lizard-like track. Perfect for big, dark rooms. With 'Dadaab', the soundscape transforms into an 8 minute, suggestive breakbeat dystopia full of ancient creatures and absent shopping mall announcements. Russian techno wizard Yuka caps things off with vast sheets of sound, her ever growing palette emphasizing the original's quest into a rhythmic melting plant, steel dripping from every wall.

Brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli aka Mathame have quickly garnered attention through their dusky, atmospheric Techno releases on illustrious underground labels such as Anagram, ARTS and Afterlife Records utilising a wide range of hardware (from cheap analogue synths to obscure drum machines) as well as their experience as visual artists to create their free-flowing, signature sound.

The second instalment on the Lux Rec 7" series comes from Zurich based musician Nicola Kazimir. Fast paced, powerful yet dramatic, shaped by his interests for occult rituals, japanese weird imagery and fringe politics of life, these four songs are the soundtrack of those long hours spent in haze in his studio next to the Limmat river. Everything in there but normality, a perfectly graced state. And so the record is called, Gnade, grace, fur Immer, in peace.

Unearthed from DAT tape sessions recorded in Adelaide between July-October 1996 and including two tracks previously released on a very limited 12" on Furthur Electronix, 'Endless Cycles' completes the trilogy of previous Offworld releases 'Science of Sound' and 'Still Tomorrow', reprising Tim's unique musical take on classic detroit-inspired techno and science fiction soundscapes.

Berghain Fünfzehn sees Luke Slater creating new compositions from the Ostgut Ton back catalogue, chopping, looping tweaking and deploying sounds into a mix that is both a playful retrospective of the label and future-facing vision for mixing and dance music. On April 17, seven exclusive tracks from the Berghain Fünfzehn DJ mix will be released on two 12”s and for streaming/digital download. De- and reconstructing the Ostgut Ton discography, Slater’s vision encompasses not only sampling but live electronics and improvisation, resulting in a broad spectrum of heady and liminal dance music: from ultra stripped-back mindfuck techno, vocals and blasts of distortion to breakbeat excursions, minimalistic acid, and rave polyrhythms. In other words: the arc of the label through Slater’s singular hallucinatory prism.

Mit Berghain Fünfzehn schafft Luke Slater neue Kompositionen aus dem Ostgut Ton- Backkatalog, indem er bestehende Sounds zerhackt, loopt, neu justiert und in einen Mix einbettet. This album has its origins 17 yeas ago in early 2000, before Chain Reaction released the legendary Ship-Scope 12'. Three of the tracks here are taken from an acetate cut at Dubplates & Mastering at that time but which wouldn't see the light of day until now, including another batch of tracks taken from original masters. Only 5 copies of that acetate were ever made so this is the first time any of these tracks are available for public consumption and, for our money, rank among the finest and
most distinctive in either the Chain Reaction or Shinichi Atobe's vaults.

The material is effectively some of the Japanese producer's earliest work, showcasing the sort of tender, feminine pressure that would bubble up on the Ship-Scope EP and later be revealed in his new productions, Butterfly Effect and World yet, for many reasons, they would lay sunk in his archive for the next 17 years.
The tracks taken from that acetate are labelled First Plate 1-3 and really are quite remarkable, having taken on so much character and added weight over the years that the incidental crackle
of surface noise imbues proceedings with an added dimension that's hard to fathom. It basically sounds like a lost transmission making its way from Paul-Lincke-Ufer at the turn of the millennium
to a new, completely changed world all these years later.
The patina of crackle lends a mist-on-bare skin feeling akin to summer garden parties at Berghain in the stepping First Plate 1, and gives a foggier sort of depth perception to the hydraulic,
Maurizian heft of First Plate 2, but it's the submerged euphoria of First Plate 3 that hits the hardest; a heady, bittersweet reminder of days gone by.The other four tracks are crisply transferred from master tapes, relinquishing a sublime, impossible to categorise House variant that recalls everything from DJ Sprinkles to Ron Trent, yet with that weird, timeless production tick that by now has become something of a signature for this most distinctive and hard to categorise producer.

Counterweight started at the end of 2015 as a party-series in Munich (Rote Sonne). It was about pushing the style of techno we stand for and which we couldn’t find easily in our city. During this journey we’ve learnt a lot about what somehow sadly has to be called a business and we met many artists and people involved in the Techno Scene. We even made friends throughout the years and that’s one of the nicest things after all.

The first V.A. release on Counterweight is an installment with some excellent artists we met during this time, we love their music as much as we love them as a person. Four years ago we couldn’t even imagine we would release a record with some of our favourites artists … Now, check this out. Heavy Kick-Drums, destructive basslines, distorted hi-hats, mesmerising melodies and…lots of passion.

Rediscover all the gems of electronic music in a double vinyl anthology collection. After the success of the first 4 volumes, here they are finally available again, accompanied by a new volume more emblematic than ever.

Bart's EP kicks off with 'Brave New World', which uses pitch curved synth lines to create a unique groove before opening up the filter to be released back into the track. 'Hypnotizing' uses a percussion line that evolves into a melodic section within the breakdown that is supported by a catchy vocal line. 'New Ground' uses a trippy bleeps and a rolling drum beat to create a lively record. 'Cabana' is slightly different to the rest of the EP and offers a distinctive set-builder using a rising and diving synth line that is guaranteed to get people on the dancefloor.

On the A side Venezuelian / Bruxelles based artist Bear Bones, Lay Low (well known for his shamanic unstoppable live acts) brings us a faster than usual track. Turbo exotic beats, distorted bass and psychedelic waves. Lick that toad and enjoy the flight !

On the B side we celebrate the come back of High Wolf who was focused on his Black Zone Myth Chant alias those last years. After worldwide tours and more than 20 releases on labels like Not not fun, Sun Ark, Leaving Records or Consternation, Maxime P. woke up the wolf for some heavy looping beats. Is it slomo dub infused tribal house or the weirdest hardtechno you ever heard ? Only your legs have the answer.

Sintope bosses NTFO return to Bondage-Music to their ‘Esperantza’ EP. Title cut ‘Esperantza’ sees the duo go to work, fusing rolling, crisp percussion with rich sub-bass, before ‘Uppercut’ interjects, unveiling a production packed full of swing, reinforced by robust drum licks, skipping hats and sweeping synths.

On the flip, the first vinyl only cut ‘Lux’ reveals a smooth, stripped back effort, with lush, deep pads floating effortlessly over hazy background textures, whilst the electro influenced ‘Avoid’ closing things out in fine fashion, as trickling lead lines flow amongst and intricate organic percussion patterns across seven minutes.

Months after their debut release, Bosconi Soundsystem is back with another killer package. The Italian production trio, consisting of Rufus, Mass Prod and Bosconi boss Fabio Della Torre, perk up here with Unrequested States of Bliss, a 2 x 12" offering that's packed from start to finish with spectacular dancefloor-ready cuts. The title reflects the contents of the album: psychedelic and minimal techno and electro music on a deep and dark tip that speaks to both the mind and the soul. The action kicks off with "Serotonin", a driving tech house jam that's full of driving, spacey atmospheric overtones. "Eclipsed" is a more introspective cut, while on the flip you'll find the anthemic swing of the utterly outrageous "Scaccomatto" and the psychotic electro of "Minor Thinking". The C side opens with the cavernous bass riffs and the ghostly voices of "Gravel Fire", followed by the funky grooves and twisted synth lines of "No Flowers". An unusual breakbeat track, it marks an interesting turn of direction of a release filled with intriguing motifs from the off. "Blackout" opens amongst a claustrophionic vibe, before things come down a peg or two on the dreamy, celestial strands of "Mandibola"

The super-producer duo behind the mega-hit “Let’s Go Dancing” makes their return at a time when there is nowhere to go dancing to, and no us to let go dance there.

They say journey can take you to so many roads full of experience and lessons, to learn ideas to achieve, and that’s when you translate that into musical notes and rhythms.

ÓbaidlÍ records come along the way from the heart of the desert to set the right tone with a particular style. The idea behind the label is to experiment with a wide range of sounds and textures to give it a feel of the organic sounds.

ÓbaidlÍ records are glad to present their first vinyl release ’Down the road’, a selective, four-track EP. This EP is a collaboration between two talented producers, the founder of "ÓbaidlÍ records" Bídlee and the head of "Deep in you Music” Zohki. Each track brings its unique touch and deep perception.

Leading off on Side A are tracks by Zohki, that will set you up into a deep rhythm and harmony.

Side B tracks by Bídlee will take you to a long journey of nostalgic tone with symphonic soul, and minimal serve with proper texture.

Following Secret Chapter, Architectural's debut LP, and the release of Amour in 2015 with the Dutch imprint Wolfskuil, we are delighted to bring you release number 7 which continues a saga of EPs that are very effective on the dance floor without renouncing to their atmospheric and experimental roots. Presented in an elegant 10" transparent vinyl, its two tracks, 7.1 and 7.2, share the limelight and will both leave the dance floor in ruins.

In 7.1 Architectural goes back to his roots with marked low lead lines that star in a very intense episode. The resulting sound is dense and compact, and connects the American essence and feel to European abstract futurism. Many will define this track as pure Architectural.

7.2 is not suitable for heart patients. Its intense and rhythmical bassline can put the listener in a hypnotic state for several minutes waiting for something to happen. The repetitive rhythm from the start is so strong it becomes strongly addictive. The track evolves towards an end worthy of a terror movie, where the snare provides an aggressive beat complemented by striking atmospheres.

Both tracks are the perfect weapon for any DJ willing to put to the test the best sound equipments.

Hot on the heels of our tentacular project "The Most Famous Unknown", Planet Phuture is proud to welcome rising French talent Cuften to the fold. A most fitting match for PP's phuture-facing vision, Damien Peltier has been pushing some of the finest techno around over the last couple of years, landing a handful memorable cuts via the likes of Parisian label Tripalium and his own imprint, Purusu. Cloaked in dim-lit atmospheres and open-ended post-apocalyptic narratives, his debut solo 12" blends in all of the elements that made his sound stand out from the crowd of releases coming up these days - traversed by dogged primitive rhythms and reassessed 303-infused Detroit'isms, but also stamped with his signature no-frills rave elegance.

Speeding up the cosmic highway like Deckard roams San Fran's neon-splattered alleys on the hunt for replicants, Cuften takes us on a full-immersion journey into dystopian electronic soundscapes. Full-beam on, "Solar Ashes" has us drifting amidst ruins of a devastated city - its lysergic bass languidly threading its way across brutalist concrete facades and cold ember set for reignition. A more martial affair, "The Black Rain Order" pulls out the rattling drums, slo-boiling arpeggios and moebius-strips of wistful acid to score a supremely tense crescendo, both optimally tasted on and off the dance floor.

Moving up closer to the free-spirited vibe of the '90s open-air raves, "Rise Of The Neo-Humans" unleashes a baroque firestorm of sucker-punchy toms and hyperventilating shuffle, woven against an endlessly expanding corolla of hallucinogenic shapes and fluttering harmonics. Sinking further deep into all-dark dubby grounds, "Lasttt Batttle" extrudes its obsessive melody out a thick gangue of squelchy chords and bleepin' engineering to form the kind of brain-washing hybrid pumper that'll roast your last remaining neurones. Trouble-brewing isn't over though and the droney "Kjhfskjoize" shall take you to places unknown through eleven minutes of envelope-shifting shamanism, thinking noise bake-off and gravity-defying arrangements. Bend your mind.

DJ & producer I Hate Models takes care of the A-side with the irresistible "Requiem Of Desolation", a blessing dancefloor mash up of untouchable acid trance flights and old school sonorities. * There isn't a lot to say about Addremove himself or herself as he/she prefers to keep their identity unrevealed, at least for the moment, so lets concentrate on the music.

* Clean Slate consists of 5 original tracks and a remix from JK Flesh (project/alias of Justin Broadrick of Godflesh, Final and Jesu).

** Addremove is an electronic music project with a unique approach. The first EP is titled 'Clean Slate', and it is the second release on the outfit's own label, 'Thrènes'.
The sound of this production is lush, minimal, and dark, echoing influences as diverse as ambient music, experimental electronica, and darkwave.

** The EP features 6 tracks with eerie and industrial overtones, including opening number 'Letter From Police', which sets the mood with some pounding percussive samples and fuzzy synth lines. 'Lurk' is certainly one of the most striking tracks on this release - The melodic drones and bass synth lines create an all-embracing sonic landscape, while a sudden burst of glitchy beats breaks the pattern unexpectedly. This project is the moniker behind Justin Broadrick, known for his work with acts such as Godflesh, Final, and Jesu.
On this remix, he set out to make a huge impact with his stylistic quirks and unique vision, igniting a whole new attitude to the track and recontextualizing its aesthetics. The remixed version remains dark and fuzzy, but while the original mix is more textural and haunting, JK Flesh added a true industrial vibe to the song, going for a powerful and uncompromising tone. The drums its hard past the point of saturation, and the side-chain swells crash in like waves of sonic grit. This cleverly arranged remix really adds something unique to the table.

‘Verdigris’ the new EP from Japanese artist Atsushi Izumi, is a deep dive into the crevice of the mind. It is an exploration of where fearful emotions lie and confronting them. It is only through this conflict that light can shine through in the end.

The Osaka native has a background in music and sound design and as such found his sound going through a metamorphosis from Drum n Bass to a more experimental sound. His EP ‘Snow’ was released under the subtract imprint last year and saw the initial phase of this transformation. It was followed up by ‘Lansing / Mistrust’ via The Collection Artaud, which continued his growth of using slowed out heavy percussions surrounded by frantic synths and modulations.

Atsushi Izumi’s use of long drawn out hallow synths is like an ominous cemetery at night before these powerful percussions detonate in. He uses heavy spaced out bass drums, either as a single or double beat, which simmer as they echo and roll. They are surrounded by these chaotic, textured synths, which can sound like a cicada, hovering and distorted to give a mechanical effect. It feels like being thrown into the woods late at night, eerie yet calm in the beginning, before extreme panic sets in and you feel like you’re being chased.

Japan witnessed the end of the world up close and it is still reflected in their art and music: it delves into the sadistic and explores deep themes of melancholy and the apocalypse. This is juxtaposed against pure joy and serenity, showing that life is there to be enjoyed and struggles have an end, which is translated quite coherently to this piece.

As an extra bonus to all this, there is a scintillating remix from ANFS. The Greek adds a bit of pace to the track Zeit. He is an artist who enjoys frantic distorted techno and it shows in this cut. He takes the basic elements but whereas the original slowly introduces the percussions, ANFS bangs straight in. It’s structured yet frantic and a massive sound.

Oscar Mulero, Blush Response, Roseen, Gimenö and BLF rework Balfa’s album ‘Perfecta Analogía de la Decadencia’, providing unique perspectives in exploration of the edges of techno.
The result is a sonic journey that disseminates on vastly different compositions from the minds of the individual artists.

Musique Pour La Danse invites you to rock your body and free your brain with the second and third volume of Break The Limits. Break The Limits are Bay B Kane and Mister E, two East London underground pioneers who released pivotal and visionary EPs between 1990 and 1991. Nearly 30 years later, it's still fresh.

INQUIETUDE is the work that CRAVO has prepared for its first release in Cassette and Digital format in ANAOH, an ‘A’ side with 4 original tracks, with a fine and complex sound design, focused on the track at different times, but without losing the forcefulness that in recent years has characterized the Portuguese artist. Short leads that resemble strings from another planet, deliver a hypnotic message accompanied by classic and well-defined grooves, accompanied by nuclear bombs disguised as kicks, close hi hats in complex figures that come and go out of the classic, and posing a serious and forceful proposal.

The fifth installment of DJ NOBU's imprint Bitta is a debut EP by a Japanese emerging producer Daisuke Uchiyama. Daisuke has been involved in music making for a long time originally as a bass player and has experimented across various genre from rock to electronic music, but this is his very first solo release. His Egg
EP consists of intricate poly-rhythmic techno breakbeats combined with metallic yet organic layers of percussion and pastel-coloured electronic riffs that create the atmospheric depth and abstract beauty while drawing the listeners into hypnosis. On the remix duties, we have invited Marco Shuttle, who is well known for The Bunker New York, Spazio Disponibile works as well as his own Eerie label outputs. His B1 remix enhances the percussive elements of the original A1, and gets you lost in a jungle-like mystique. B2 delivers his
trademark psychedelia through exotic synth works with added sensuality. Both classy remixes are fine examples of Marco's remarkable skills bringing fourth the essence of the original materials at the same time.

Disclosure returned in February with the brand new ‘Ecstasy’ EP where they rolled out a track a day over five days in the same vein to their last release, the ‘Moonlight’ EP (2018). Only this time, the ‘Ecstasy’ EP was in fact, a precursor to their third album ‘ENERGY’ – set for release on August 28th on Island Records.

Restive Plaggona recently released a brand new studio effort - a full-length album featuring 10 original tracks and a
remix from Ancestral Voices, with a dark and melancholic twist, as the title of the project might imply. Connected by a commonality of despair, nostalgia and desolation, Restive Plaggona elevated these elements into its maturity. At its core, each track has a soul-stirring significance, and is embalmed by titles that fringes on a political dimension.

* Opening number 'Intimacy is Violence' does a remarkable job capturing the vibe of the album, serving as a great
introduction. The track has a very industrial tone, with a strong cinematic feel to it. The following track, 'Rote Zora,' follows suit with a more percussive and colorful arrangement, with a more substantial focus on rhythmic patterns.

* 'Cut Off From Modern Society' its combination of dark atmospheres, lush melodies, and glitchy beats. 'Sudden Burst of Safety' is another excellent track worth mentioning, due to its stadium-sized drums and saturated sounds, adding an
aggressive feel to the music. All in all, the album is a real sonic journey, begging to be enjoyed from start to finish!

* Atheos is a ferocious new collection from Rotkeller, which sees the Swiss electronic duo (Laurent Schmidhäusler and Federico Sutera) double-down on the brooding energy of their previous releases with a renewed intensity—fusing bold electronic experimentalism to dense, maximalist techno.

* Whether on the slow-burn immensity of opener 'SW', the monolithic, doom-laden expanses of 'Malz' or the spellbinding surge of '17. October', Atheos showcases a dark melodic complexity from the duo—in part brought on by the use of both digital and analog recording techniques.

* While the mesmeric, choral melancholia of EP closer 'Godless'—its eerie and beguiling textures echoing all that has preceded it—offers-up ominously open-ended ending; solidifying Atheos as Rotkeller's most atmospheric and cohesive work to-date.

* As if that wasn't enough, EOMAC (Stroboscopic Artefacts, Killekill, Trilogy Tapes, Bedouin) caps Atheos off in style, with a savage edit of '17. October'. The remix that pushing Rotkeller's original track into new rhythmical directions—the glassy rhythms splintering like shards of light across an eternally eclipsed landscape.

With no need for further introduction, the legendary Cleveland and now Berlin based producer Dan Curtin lands on Fabio Della Torre's Tuscan label Bosconi with 2 previously unreleased gems from his 90's DAT archive. The release is further enriched by Curtin's very first live rework of one of the tunes. After Releasing on such labels as Headspace, 7th Sign, and Sublime and with the recent repress of his historic Silicon Dawn album on Peacefrog including the supremely modern Population 2, here comes the previously unreleased Population III which moves even more forward into the outer realms of space and time. On the long side the farsighted and futuristic Metamorphic label boss delivers this marvelous continuation of the previous version taking it more into straight forward techno and even further into deep minded synth experimentation and acid bleeping. On the Flip we have a modern live rework of Population III which Dan has been playing around the world in his current live set. The live version goes a bit more into electroid landscapes but still maintains a straight groove for electro and techno purists most playful moments. The third cut is the epic acid banger and previously unreleased Redshift, showing already at those times that Dan Curtin was defying conventions and pushing boundaries and pioneering what we can now consider modern dance music while displaying melting innovation and deeply felt emotional content at the same time.

As Fabio Della Torre, Corcos last solo release on his much-respected Bosconi label came out in 2012. Almost seven years later, Della Torre reprises the alias here, returning to his home label in stunning fashion courtesy of the sumptuous, brilliant and always innovative sounds of Bosco042.

We kick off with 'What's the Case', a hypnotic, minimal wiggler that maintains a strong after-hours vibe throughout the course of its 7-and-a-half minutes. A trippy voyage into the producer's more restrained and foreboding side, it's a slick, sleek excursion that's full of multiple twists and turns throughout. Weird but most definitely wonderful, it's sure to go down a treat with discerning DJs especially, with its swinging groove sure to prove a particular treat.

The B side then kicks off via 'Down on Time', an unrelenting, jacking cut that's indicative of the early work of minimal techno pioneer, Robert Hood. A jacking, booty-shaking jam that features more than its fair share of oldschool vibes, this track is indicative of a side that the producer rarely showcases — but one that he's evidently more than capable of showcasing. Rough, ready and most definitely effective, it features the Bosconi owner at his up-tempo best.

'Monster Knight' culminates the EP courtesy of an uplifting, electro-inspired jam that's catchy and banging throughout. Notable for its elastic baseline and flashy, rhythmic elements, it brilliantly closes a fantastically eclectic EP that demonstrates three sides of the producer's sound in some fashion.

A long and awaited return to todays scene is that of Gareth Oxby, a very active producer since the 90s with numerous Techno, House and Breaks projects among which the prodigious UK label Alien Funk Movement stands out; of which he is the renowned father and founder. Bosconi is proud to include this eclectic and talented producer in its stable through one of his most sought-after aliases, "4th Planet Side Steppers". The EP, titled "Warning", celebrates the UK sound of those early years of which he was one of the greatest exponents and pioneers and which is coming back to prominence today: the foundation of the Tech-House sound, a kind of hybrid dense with spatial and futuristic sounds where electro, dub and breakbeat that merge into the 4/4 rhythm creating a unique and incomparable blend. It starts with the homonymous "Warning" track, where sharp drum sounds support a galaxy of alien bleeps and textures, transporting you into a pacific trance state, a maze-like and hypnotic dimension that is perfect for late night hours or morning awakenings. The second cut of A side brings a previously released track on Gareth’s own AFM label which has been for long time our secret DJ weapon named "Anti-Matter", a funky, rolling, ultra-groovy monster track; an absolute Tech House killer tune with straight and unmistakeable effects on every dance floor we have played. On the flip side the dreamy, sensual and trippy "Phaeton" closes up this three track EP with its smooth vibe and intelligent electro programmed warm beats giving a special touch to the whole record!

Martino Marini aka Mass Prod contributed to spread the seeds of the Bosconi Records nationally and internationally. Unforgettable are his early releases 'Bosconi Groove' and 'Paris,Texas' which gained a great success, especially thanks to the track '72 Minutes Of Scrubs A Day'. After many years of studying in consevatory of electronic music and improving his already exceptional skills within music production and composition, between a freaked out IDMish album on his own Wo Land label, releases with Herva on Kontra Musik, Marmo Music with the Tru West- The Leftovers projects and the Nightdrivers records with Rufus, the prodigal son is finally back with an edgy four tracker of pure anti-romanticism named 'Ears In My Eyes': the record starts with the perlonish, groovy and funky minimal house jam of Marmeria Mornings feat Vash (collaborator at Marmeria Studios in Genova and well known synth repairer in Italy), while on the second cut there are the sexy, electroish and ultra catchy SH101 bass line riffs of the title track 'Ears In My Eyes'. On the flip side instead let's get back to some swinging beats with the trippy and mysterious atmospheres of 'Marmeria Nights' while on the final cut more electro with another flying, rough and subliminal machine funk winner to close up this release called 'Aria Fredda'. It's been a long awaited one!

Glorious and epic two tracker vinyl for Bosconi Records, this time by our favourite Detroit techno duo The Oliverwho Factory. We used to be big fans of their Madd Chaise works andlatest Rush Hour and Planet E were awesome, but that percussive sound was different from what we knew from their past. Fran Mela) instigate the oddity of Teona (024) since the epic ride of Athena (025) made between the dub techno sounds of

Ennio Colaci and the Detroit/Chicago atmospheres of The Oliverwho Factory and Nick Anthony Simoncino. Like every time

you ride a new stallion, is an experience that shakes your legs but eventually restores trust and desire, feeling and loyalty in

the race towards new musical interpretations.

A staple element of high-profile labels such as Hivern Discs and ESP Institute, Brussels-based producer Andrea Mancini alias Cleveland has built something of an impressive reputation over the last few years, establishing a sound signature both convincingly unique and daringly game-changing, as well as setting up a distinctly fresh musical grammar that invites the listener to see under the surface of the standstill techno/house dichotomy through more complex but just as effortlessly enjoyable architectonics.

Complete with a choice duo of remixes courtesy of Beta Librae and Piezo, Cleveland’s debut EP for Kalahari Oyster Cult sits straight in line with the recreated organic lushness and widescreen vista of his previous installments. Seemingly a straightforward broken-beat affair at first glance, ‘Gamma’ seamlessly slides towards sun-dazed weirdo house terrains with its dripping honey-like melange of dubbed-out synth ripples, distorted machine talk, and foot-shuffling drum work.

A further Arpanet-friendly slab of shapeless electronics, ‘Ora’ levitates in a zone of its own, subtly oscillating betwixt chimey oneirism and crystal-like, arpeggiated brittleness. On the flip, ‘Gamma’ gets a double treat. Turning the track into a proper floor-ready weapon, Pezio alternates sequences of hypnotic melodic shimmer with a stealthily squelchy but dynamic percussive momentum. Adding her trademark playful get-up-and-go whilst retaining the original’s textural quirk, Brooklyn’s Beta Librae explores even further the cheeky vibrancy of Cleveland’s non-formulaic audio semantics to brush a vividly trippy tableau of sorts.

Driftmachine Plays Marien van Oers' is a parallel physical output to the concert 'Massive Trance: Interpreted by Driftmachine,' which was performed during the 2019 Minimal Music Festival in Amsterdam. Both the concert performed at Muziek Gebouw aan 't IJ and the album take their cue from a cassette produced in 1983 by the Dutch experimental composer Marien van Oers (1955-2013). The original cassette states Van Oers' following intentions: "The basic idea of the performance is experiencing a constant repetition of sound (=rhythm), which can result in the spectator taking action through movement or getting into a form of trance." His percussion based pieces are all but industrial; the self-built instruments and repetitive chanting aim to achieve a physicality that is closer to tribal music. Van Oers has mainly performed as his solo act, Het Zweet, which was active from 1983 to about 1988. This interpretation of Marien van Oers' music by modular synth duo Driftmachine is not a blind restaging of Van Oers' original recordings, but instead actively reinterprets the piece on the level of its composition, performance, and mixing. Taking the piece's ultimate aim of 'attaining trance' as a starting point, Driftmachine accordingly works towards a new coherence that features a repetition of organic syncopations by using two racks of modular systems. The liner notes detail how this record came to be, analyze the early work of Marien van Oers, and place this project as a curatorial practice of Ongehoord label initiator Jeroen Vermandere.

KiNK returns with the second release on the still puerile label Sofia. The second of many to come, „Nagore“ features four tracks again that are incentive, innovative and ingenious at the same time. Based on the incantations of KiNK and guests like Red Eye, Kei and Sofia’s guiding spirit DJ Valentine, you get a mix of free-flowing techno, bass bumpers, ravey IDM tropes and pitch-wheel house or four smart bombs, if you will. Graced with technical prowess and creative powers, this is once more proof that the man cannot set a foot wrong. Remember the future!

SOFIA: Founded by Strahil Velchev and Konstantin Petrov, Sofia is not only the physical location where this music was made, the city where they met and developed as artists, but also a paradox that is reflected in the art and music that comes from the place. Beautiful and ugly at the same time, clean and dirty, brutal as well as romantic, it’s a place where aesthetically seemingly incompatible styles come together in a twisted, yet unifying form. The photographs for the sleeves are made by influential local selector DJ Valentine, effortlessly capturing the local reality.
