Manni Dee returns to Perc Trax with his first new material for the label since his breakout release 'Throbs Of Discontent' was unleashed by Perc Trax back in 2018. Lead track 'London Isn't England' soon became a scene anthem and increased recognition of Manni's unique blend of bleeding-edge electronics and fearless political statements. Since then he has released his debut album on the legendary Tresor label, become a key part of Ansome's SLAM imprint and has toured the world as both a DJ and live act.

For our money the weirdest and most satisfying Regis record in a while, featuring stripped, slow, highly atmospheric & muscular productions that were recorded as part of that mad ‘Let The Night Return’ feature film (regis, performing more or less alone in a 4000 year old, empty greek amphitheatre) here rendered in brilliant monochrome including contributions from Justin Broadrick, Ann Margaret Hogan and the music school chorus of Corfu. Trust, it’s a killer.
There’s something brutally bare and demented about this one, opening with the simmering choral drone ‘Epidaurus’ fizzing with whirring industrial components and rumbling subs, before ‘Calling Down a Curse’ extends to terrifying dimensions with an intoxicating Ugandan Methods style percussive backbone and a slowed down voiceover by filmmaker Vasileios Trigkas, to our ears sounding like Burial as if rendered by Conny Plank as a kind of alternate version to his still entirely unclassifiable ‘Biomutanten’.
‘The Blind Departing’ is a slow headmelter, all industrial synths and exposed percussion, every hi hat and kickdrum separated and pristine, like the toughest, most angular sort of bare-boned warehouse chugger slowed to a crawl. If you shut yr eyes you can almost imagine Alan Wilder and Martin Gore hitting sheets of metal with a mallet on that crazy old Depeche Mode footage that’s knocking about - played at half speed.
Perhaps best of all is the closing ‘Temporary Thing’, featuring Regis, Anni Hogan and Justin Broadrick taking on a cover version of the Lou Reed classic, here extended to HD and sounding fucking ridiculously good. It’s one of the most sought-after pieces of the Regis puzzle, finally available on vinyl here for the first time.

Helmed by SHDW & Obscure Shape, From Another Mind has maintained its reputation as one of techno’s most exciting platforms since its launch in 2014. When not releasing on their own high quality label the duo continues to release music via respected imprints like Dynamic Reflection and Rekids. They’re also in demand remixers having been invited by Phantasy to remix Daniel Avery ‘Projector’ and Boysnoize to remix Djedjotronic ‘Take Me Down’, not to mention Rekids for separate renditions of two legendary Radio Slave tracks, ‘Vision’ and ‘Grindhouse’. Together they share a paralleled vision for techno without setting any boundaries which is suitably reflected in all their releases and performances.

‘Die Zunge Des Todes’ kicks off with vast synth waves fluttering over the emphatic kicks and tense modulations giving off an energetic yet captivating atmosphere to begin. ‘Bisswunden’ tastefully delivers driving percussion, otherworldly oscillations and energetic melodies transcending the emotions into a hypnotic state before progressing into ‘Blick Des Bösen’ through clattering drum grooves pacing around haunting atmospheres. ‘Kein Entkommen’ finishes things off with a breakstinged beat, mystical tones and alleviating sound design.

Ricardo Villalobos is back on Raum Musik with his third solo single for our label. The A side is a signature sounding track that can easily be described as a true masterpiece of him and it also has been sought after already for quite a while now by the ones that have heard it. The B side is unusually straight compared to most of his recent productions and builds a great tension if you let it play for a while. It also works very well as a perfect mixing tool. Following up from 2019’s Livity Sound release ‘Goulbap/Momoweb/Disposition’, which seemed to catapult Bakongo into a different scenery and introduce Wayne to old friends and long time support of his older tribal material along the way as well as surprising those who had no idea both monikers were the same person.

Slotting into a scene of Tribal sonics and a Techno atmosphere it almost seems as a new genre if we pigeon holed ourselves into specific categories as if it was 2010 again, but digging into Roska/ Bakongo’s early material, tracks like Roska’s remix of Four Tet’s Love Cry and Untold - Just For You, you can hear early examples of sounds that were explored and tested as early as 2009. Mixing the two sounds of Roska’s heavily stripped back style and Bakongo’s tribal and percussive madness enhances and uplifts what a generation have been complimenting the last 10 years.

Moving forward to this release ‘Bopster / Anytime’ you see exactly where Bakongo is going and the direction where his sound is suited.

Die 10 Tracks auf "Shadows In Blue" bestechen mit planetarischer Psychedelia aus natürlicher Percussion, Vogelgezwitscher und einer Zukunftsvision, in der die Natur eine künstlich erschaffene Welt zurückerobert. Diese Elemente lenken aber nicht von Hodge's Skills ab, effektive Dancefloor-Rhythmen zu erzeugen, wie der Keytrack "Ghost Of Akina" eindrucksvoll beweist.

Roman Flügel is a magician. This statement is far from being a hyperbole. Just put the needle down on any record – I mean any! – of his ( collaborations included) since the early nineties and see for yourself: none of them are without that special effect. The magic works instantly. And as the thing with magic goes: it’s challenging to explain it. But I guess that is what makes it magic.

Eating Darkness is the title of his newest spell. Affected by the fundamental shock that any system got in 2020 – but not the result thereof – it is an album that could absorb it – as its name might suggest. Music and nightlife work hand in hand as escapism and as anchors or as the undercoat of social interactions. They enable people to deal with hardships as well as the burden and the joy of life. That is the starting point and hope of Eating Darkness: the outlook and invitation to enrich each and everyone’s existence.

Bound to the single LP format and reminiscent of a time with format limitations, the nine tracks are testament to Flügel’s weakness for the art of pop music with the use of little and especially short motifs. Furthermore equipped with a clear instrumentation and without any camouflage, Eating Darkness corresponds to his idea of a virtual band.

As it happens, the opener is called The Magic Briefcase. That sits not only well with my first sentence, but pretty much embodies the album and Roman Flügel’s apparatus in an alternative title: Crystal clear sounds and melodies bounce on and off the dance floor, living room and club are pulled together and transcendental moments take turns with the tangibility of reality. After all, that is how a real magician allures you.

Spencer Parker returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with ‘The Theme’ EP, the DJ/Producer’s most distinctive single to date.

Comprising three originals and a remix from Pink Concrete, ‘The Theme’ EP sees the Berlin-based Brit known for blending house, disco and techno delve further into his ‘80s new wave influences hinted at in his recent ‘The Love And Sex’ EP for HE.SHE.THEY.

First track ‘Theme’ is Parker at his most musical. With simple piano licks, digital strings and soaring choral swells, this is an anthemic piece that oozes class. ‘Radio Waves (After Dark)’ sees staccato synth leads play off a pulsing bass while the titular vocal sample and aesthetic recall some of Parker’s work under his lauded It’s Not Over pseudonym. Closing the originals is the arpeggio driven ‘The Work Out’, an undulating late-night cut displaying Parker’s penchant for high energy arrangements.

It feels like it’s time to thank the people who continuously give me energy. No matter in which form. Whether as the music they produce, hugs, compliments, mistakes I’ve learned from, encouragements, critical feedback or just listening. This release goes out to all the people who have supported me on my path of life so far. I am tremendously grateful for the life I am allowed to live.

The number 7. It represents my numerology and there are seven chakras in the body.

As a child, my father often played something on the guitar or on the synthesizer to me. One melody of it was the one from “Time Shifting”. I took a part of the melody and tried to create my own version, stretched in space and time.

I have experienced that I can make music very well when someone else is sleeping in the room. That was the output from “While Dreaming Deep“.

“Arecibo” is a message sent by humans into space. My interpretation of it originated in a small town of the Paci c Ocean in Chile.

Carl Craig has announced Detroit native and hotlytipped selector DJ Holographic is next in-line for his prestigious 'Detroit Love' mix compilation series dropping on Planet E Communications. Volruptus and Jensen Interceptor team up for their first collaborative release on Icelandic label Sweaty Records. The two titans come together for a full body electro workout. Spanning across four-tracks, ‘Big Bang Energy’ kicks off 2021 with a go big or go home attitude, drawing from extraterrestrial influences. Start as you mean to go on, right?

Sweaty Records was founded in 2016 by a collective of Icelandic musicians and DJs based mainly in Berlin and Reykjavík. The label’s ethos is centered around championing great electro music which has been lurking in the background of the Reykjavík underground, with the aim of bringing this scene to a global audience. They have so far released records from Kosmodod, Kuldaboli, Leather Forecast, Luke Eargoggle, and ThizOne.

DOG U OUT EP is a remastered selection from recent works of the artist combined with 3 dance club music remixes from Cyan85, DJ Normal 4 and MUTANT JOE that goes from Electro, Detroit bass to Breaks and Jungle.

The inaugural release from the new Love International X Test Pressing imprint comes from Fantastic Man, the Berlin based Australian whose music has been played by everyone from Aphex Twin to Bicep to Gerd Janson and many more.

Love International make good times happen in far flung places, whilst Test Pressing make good times happen physically and in the digital sphere, a meeting of like minds and shared tastes, all bases covered here. Together this collaboration has been releasing compilation album from the likes of Gatto Fritto, Beautiful Swimmers and Shanti Celeste, and this new label project unites recording artists and designers in a meeting of music and art.

On the ‘Cloud Management’ release, Fantastic Man teams up with Alexander Papoli-Barawati, a German/Filipino/Iranian graphic designer and art director living in Berlin. The striking and playful graphic design is in tandem with the music, which runs from the beautiful piano–led Balearic sounds of ‘Cloud Manager’ to the floating breaks in ‘Lounge Wizard’, the warped chug tempo in ‘Psychic Monthly’ and the beautiful acid bubbles of release finale, ‘Time Apprentice’.

Bouquet Records features Olive T. for their sixth EP release on vinyl to infuse their 2021 roster with the desired verve and energy that dormant club kids are thirsting for.

Releasing in early summer, the energetic dance tracks herald a return to the dance floor, uplifted by soul-stirring synthesiser orchestral strings.
The native New Yorker and scene fixture was influenced by 90's house, inspired by Raze, Deee-lite, Green Velvet, and smooth disco flows.

Known to play a range spanning hip hop to club, jazz to funk, disco to garage, and more, Olive T has DJ'd countless venues and over international airwaves.
An early exposure to house and techno, combined with a wide span of diverse musical taste, shaped her unique style. In 2020 she started her own 2 hour radio show on The Lot Radio.

Olive T worked with Tiro! due to her admiration of his use of traditional sounds of the 90's era, sensing he also listened prolifically to 90's house and techno. Tiro!'s remix of 'This Is A Bop' adds organic flare to the original.
A long-time fan of Matt Karmil, she invited him to remix 'Opaque' - He flips the track upside down to reveal a different, but still vibrant interpretation, with his technical approach to remixing.

Olive T has released singles and remixes on Nervous records, 2MR, and on her own. The four track record 'Goin' Up' marks Olive T's first label-released EP, and first release on San Diego-based Bouquet Records.

For the first release, Anetha is inviting the talented Sugar from Fast Forward Productions based in Copenhagen, and her good friend ABSL from Paris.

MTY 001 features two original tracks produced by Sugar and ABSL themselves, and two other ones co-produced with Anetha. More than just “club ready” productions, every track is built like a story that you can also enjoy peacefully at home. Each piece is long enough to allow you to go through different states of feeling, atmospheres, and even be surprised by the evolution and new elements of the tracks. In the A1 « Et le soleil ne vint pas » by ABSL, a tension is created and evolves for several minutes with a sustained and crunchy rhythm that keeps the listener in suspense. Later, the emergence of a dazzling and sparkling melody come to break this infernal cadence and give some space and light. In the end, darkness definitely takes over to crush the last ray of sunshine. ABSL & Anetha blends hypnotic moment and percussive techno drums in the A2 called “Elles”. The heady and repetitive voice plays a leading role between the different parts and finally gives way to let smooth and evocative synths appear. Minds and bodies can feel soothed and enveloped by the softness of the sounds… A perfect way to finish a set. During Sugar’s B1 « Vapouring sun », you can experience at the first notes that something epic and intense awaits you. The track is built with a deep rhythm, some shamanic breathing and outrageous chord progression that make the track feel engineered for special moments only. Please, make sure this is the right time and place to play it! Last but not least, B2 « Candy from strangers » track is a fresh and colourful collaborative track by Sugar & Anetha in which many layers reflect the personalities of the two producers. Sometimes techno, with striking synthesizers and energetic drums, but also trancy with an evolving and singular melody. Very fun and pleasant to play – you’ll see :) The collaborative spirit reflects and animates the graphic part of the label as well. In order to inaugurate the first cover, Anetha invited the talented Helin Sahin who produced a magnificent futuristic piece of art. A precious and organic image that plays with perspective, space and matter.

For the graphic identity, Mama told ya partnered with the great Diplomatie Studio team based in Paris.

After a run of amazing releases for the likes of Whites, Livity Sound, Delsin Forest Drive West steps up to R&S with an EP exploring 170bpm jungle.

Drumcode Limited was created as an offshoot of Drumcode for special tracks focusing on exceptional music. Keeping tracks on a vinyl-only format gives the music a special collectors quality and a sound synonymous with audiophiles. Past releases come from Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Tom Demac & Glimpse, Ben Sims, Steve Rachmad, 2000 and One and Marco Faraone.
Heiko Laux's stimulating approach to electronic music showcases his ability to flutter between genres with various aliases, projects and sounds. From starting out in 1994 in the heat of the uprising techno, Heiko has experienced many movements in the music-sphere however he will always play an important role and symbolize the globally celebrated golden age of techno. With no interest in remaking albums or dwelling on the past, Heiko is constantly moving forward, finding new inspiration.
Joel Mull is a techno DJ and producer from Sweden who has released on labels such as Drumcode, Truesoul, Audiomatique, Saved, Cocoon, Kanzleramt and Music Man. A product of the small but highly productive scene that has grown up in Stockholm, it comes as no surprise that Joel's discography is heavy on associations with other key players in the creation of the distinctive Swedish techno sound such as Adam Beyer, Jesper Dahlback and Cari Lekebusch. Mull's sound is a living force; steeped in techno history but with both eyes firmly fixed on the future. Laux and Mull's make their debut to Drumcode Limited with a heavy, two track release. The tracks come packed with erratic percussion, deep kick drums and tantalising crescendos. Laden with interesting samples, futuristic sounds and high hats a plenty - these high intensity tracks keep the energy levels soaring throughout. The release demonstrates the duo's diversity as producers and ability to create tight, unique techno tracks.

We celebrate our seven year itch with 2 separate double-LP's containing the new and exclusive tracks and remixes taken from the Double CD Compilation with the same title.

The first vinyl part opens with excellent tunes by our Swissman Diego, another exclusive subway track by Munich-hero Richard Bartz, some deep birthday wishes by NY based John Selway, one more exclusive by Heiko Laux and a very beautiful ending by electro master Anthony Rother. For its seventh release, Rave Or Die proudly welcomes Irish superstar Sunil Sharpe. Hailing from Dublin, this producer and DJ has gain within a few years a solid reputation of merciless techno purveyor in Europe with uncompromising re-leases on structures such like On The Hoof, Sheworks, Black Sun Records, Trensmat, Mord, Inner Surface Music, Komisch, Bastardo Electrico, and many more.

Half of the Tinfoil duo along with DeFekt offers to the French Rave label a great slab of bastard-heavy material in his typical signature: hard and fast Loose (Burn Down)' supported by metallic sorities and ruff modulations over a pounding bass line in a pure, raw style.

On the flipside, ROD mastermind Umwelt (Boidae, Shipwrec, New Flesh Records) serves up another milestone of a cabalistic anthem dedicated to industrial ware-houses: mechanic Slave To The Rave' signs an ode to the dancefloor thanks to its implacable and hammering beat. Afterlife Recordings ends 2018 with an impressive statement from German duo Innellea.

The 'Vigilans' EP combines wide-ranging elements - a heavy, guitar riff on the title track, unhinged drumming, zippy synth melodies and distinctive sounds - to stamp the Innellea identity on a bold and high-energy record. They push limits and refuse convention in fine style, making for a standout entry in the Afterlife catalogue.

Over time we've formed a mutual admiration and we couldn't think of a better example of a Highlife artist - so we're unbelievably excited to present his debut record on the label!

The EP is inspired by walks around nature, cachoeiras, forests, simply all the beauty you find when visiting isolated, almost untouched spots of gorgeous nature.

Paula Temple presents her long-awaited debut album Edge Of Everything . The result of years spent ruminating on the healing powers of harsh noise, she employs a cinematic textural palette for a call to action in desperate times. Across twelve tracks, Paula applies warped aesthetic distortions to a broad exploration of techno. Radio Slave’s momentous ‘Another Club’ receives two thumping remixes from SRVD and Charlotte de Witte. ‘Another Club’ was the 100th release on Rekids and dropped as the label celebrated a milestone ten years. It unquestionably became one of Techno’s biggest tracks ever made. Two years later, the landmark production receives outstanding remixes from two of the genre’s most salient artists: NovaMute producer Charlotte de Witte, who’s just collaborated with Chris Liebing on her newly launched KNTXT imprint, as well as the ever-impressive Patrick Mason and Radio Slave who team up again as SRVD. Charlotte de Witte’s remix of ‘Another Club’ marches forward with pounding 909 style kicks, hooking acid hits, fleeting voice samples and haunting pads. SRVD’s remix then uses the vocals as stabs, adding tension with rave inspired synths, buzzing keys and splashing cymbals, while locking it all together with thundering drums and sub frequency rumbles.

Vertical is Caterina Barbieri's debut album and it was composed for vocals and Buchla 200 modular synthesizer. Vertical takes a meditative approach to primary waveforms and the polyrhythm of harmonics, stretching the boundaries between drone, minimalism and techno in multichannel systems. This minimalistic focus arises from the polyrhythmic and stratigraphic potential of voltage-controlled sequencers.

Synthesis, drone and immersive listening are three fundamental conditions to enhance an advanced auditory art, not based on extrinsic links but solely built on the experience of the spectrum, able to develop our very limited ability of perceiving the vertical domain of music, involving us in a holistic way. Caterina Barbieri (*1990) is a composer and performer of electro-acoustic music. Mostly interested in modular synthesis, three-dimensional spatialisation and psychoacoustic aural sculpture, her music arises from a meditative approach to primary waveforms and the polyrhythm of harmonics.

She received a degree in classical guitar and electro-acoustic music at the conservatory of Bologna, Italy (plus an exchange programme at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden) with a thesis about time, space and spectrum in vertical music. She's currently attending a bachelor in literature and she’s active as audiovisual artist, acousmatic composer and guitarist. Her work has been commissioned and performed in festivals and venues of experimental music.

Punctual like a Swiss watch, Driftmachine presents a new album that once again astounds and delights. We know their trademark: solid mechanical percussions, forceful bass and melodies systematically built around circular patterns. "Spume & Recollection" is the sixth Umor Rex album by the Berlin duo, and what better way to celebrate the label's 15th anniversary than with a new record from the masters of labyrinthine cables and patches. Regarding "Nocturnes" (UR 2014), their debut album, we described their sound as precise and symmetrical, identical concrete blocks mounted and articulated in a random order. Their already obsessive style continued to evolve with their third record, "Colliding Contours" (UR 2016), now pushing further into abstract dub, ultra-tense grooves, and even more kinetic loops, moving further away from conventional musical structures. Between these two albums they released the remarkable "Eis Heauton" (UR 2015), a kind of hypnotic experiment informed by shadowy atmospheres, chance, and an intuitive dialogue with their musical machines, a unique situation in which they acted as bemused observers in hunt for epiphanies, resulting in an exquisite amalgamation of lucid dream-logic and mechanical precision. A one-of-a-kind soundtrack for minute and wordless scenes unfolding in pitch-black back alleys and hidden, alchemical basements. A similar map was explored with "Shunter" (UR 2018), a superb secret meeting between avant-garde phantasmagoria and concrete experimentation. "Radiations" (UR 2017) offered B-sides and bonus tracks, in addition to collaborations with Shackleton and The Sight Below, a kind of preamble that united Driftmachine’s different expressions and leanings.

When Andreas Gerth and Florian Zimmer come up with new material, one listens with high expectation. Looking back on their discography, one could safely anticipate a high quality album densely layered with their familiar leitmotifs. And yet, "Spume & Recollection" takes us by surprise and finds a new way to transfix. Fresh methods and ideas are introduced to their dynamics and formula. Yes, of course, you can still expect a healthy dose of kosmische, which is one of the dominant features in Driftmachine’s DNA; but this is now entwined with novel materials, semi-material patterns of alien code stretching over exhilaratingly tense and detailed grooves, clouds of gas shifting on top of deep dub architecture and blocking out the sun for prismatic effect. Even more of a surprise is the immediate, streamlined nature of these tracks, making "Spume & Recollection" their most accessible record and, perhaps, the most addictive (and this without sacrificing the essential mystery and strangeness at the core of Driftmachine’s sound).

We have previously described their work as post-industrial-dub; right now, we might just call it hypno-music for man and machine to dance and dream together. "Spume & Recollection" takes this concept as far as it can go without breaking, and finds some strange new feelings, and weirdly danceable grooves, to shed some light on this dark and dazzling ride.

Mountain Explosion Device returns with a vengeance. Label boss, Swedish-Sri Lankan artist Kalawila explores the abyss with 'Lönnmördare fick betalt i frimärken', a slow building, lizard-like track. Perfect for big, dark rooms. With 'Dadaab', the soundscape transforms into an 8 minute, suggestive breakbeat dystopia full of ancient creatures and absent shopping mall announcements. Russian techno wizard Yuka caps things off with vast sheets of sound, her ever growing palette emphasizing the original's quest into a rhythmic melting plant, steel dripping from every wall.

Brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli aka Mathame have quickly garnered attention through their dusky, atmospheric Techno releases on illustrious underground labels such as Anagram, ARTS and Afterlife Records utilising a wide range of hardware (from cheap analogue synths to obscure drum machines) as well as their experience as visual artists to create their free-flowing, signature sound.

The second instalment on the Lux Rec 7" series comes from Zurich based musician Nicola Kazimir. Fast paced, powerful yet dramatic, shaped by his interests for occult rituals, japanese weird imagery and fringe politics of life, these four songs are the soundtrack of those long hours spent in haze in his studio next to the Limmat river. Everything in there but normality, a perfectly graced state. And so the record is called, Gnade, grace, fur Immer, in peace.

Berghain Fünfzehn sees Luke Slater creating new compositions from the Ostgut Ton back catalogue, chopping, looping tweaking and deploying sounds into a mix that is both a playful retrospective of the label and future-facing vision for mixing and dance music. On April 17, seven exclusive tracks from the Berghain Fünfzehn DJ mix will be released on two 12”s and for streaming/digital download. De- and reconstructing the Ostgut Ton discography, Slater’s vision encompasses not only sampling but live electronics and improvisation, resulting in a broad spectrum of heady and liminal dance music: from ultra stripped-back mindfuck techno, vocals and blasts of distortion to breakbeat excursions, minimalistic acid, and rave polyrhythms. In other words: the arc of the label through Slater’s singular hallucinatory prism.

Mit Berghain Fünfzehn schafft Luke Slater neue Kompositionen aus dem Ostgut Ton- Backkatalog, indem er bestehende Sounds zerhackt, loopt, neu justiert und in einen Mix einbettet. This album has its origins 17 yeas ago in early 2000, before Chain Reaction released the legendary Ship-Scope 12'. Three of the tracks here are taken from an acetate cut at Dubplates & Mastering at that time but which wouldn't see the light of day until now, including another batch of tracks taken from original masters. Only 5 copies of that acetate were ever made so this is the first time any of these tracks are available for public consumption and, for our money, rank among the finest and
most distinctive in either the Chain Reaction or Shinichi Atobe's vaults.

The material is effectively some of the Japanese producer's earliest work, showcasing the sort of tender, feminine pressure that would bubble up on the Ship-Scope EP and later be revealed in his new productions, Butterfly Effect and World yet, for many reasons, they would lay sunk in his archive for the next 17 years.
The tracks taken from that acetate are labelled First Plate 1-3 and really are quite remarkable, having taken on so much character and added weight over the years that the incidental crackle
of surface noise imbues proceedings with an added dimension that's hard to fathom. It basically sounds like a lost transmission making its way from Paul-Lincke-Ufer at the turn of the millennium
to a new, completely changed world all these years later.
The patina of crackle lends a mist-on-bare skin feeling akin to summer garden parties at Berghain in the stepping First Plate 1, and gives a foggier sort of depth perception to the hydraulic,
Maurizian heft of First Plate 2, but it's the submerged euphoria of First Plate 3 that hits the hardest; a heady, bittersweet reminder of days gone by.The other four tracks are crisply transferred from master tapes, relinquishing a sublime, impossible to categorise House variant that recalls everything from DJ Sprinkles to Ron Trent, yet with that weird, timeless production tick that by now has become something of a signature for this most distinctive and hard to categorise producer.

Counterweight started at the end of 2015 as a party-series in Munich (Rote Sonne). It was about pushing the style of techno we stand for and which we couldn’t find easily in our city. During this journey we’ve learnt a lot about what somehow sadly has to be called a business and we met many artists and people involved in the Techno Scene. We even made friends throughout the years and that’s one of the nicest things after all.

The first V.A. release on Counterweight is an installment with some excellent artists we met during this time, we love their music as much as we love them as a person. Bart's EP kicks off with 'Brave New World', which uses pitch curved synth lines to create a unique groove before opening up the filter to be released back into the track. 'Hypnotizing' uses a percussion line that evolves into a melodic section within the breakdown that is supported by a catchy vocal line. 'New Ground' uses a trippy bleeps and a rolling drum beat to create a lively record. 'Cabana' is slightly different to the rest of the EP and offers a distinctive set-builder using a rising and diving synth line that is guaranteed to get people on the dancefloor.

On the A side Venezuelian / Bruxelles based artist Bear Bones, Lay Low (well known for his shamanic unstoppable live acts) brings us a faster than usual track. Turbo exotic beats, distorted bass and psychedelic waves. Lick that toad and enjoy the flight !

cheeky journey through multiple genres, tempo-ranges and sonic adventures. By altering between different sets of compositions,

samples and meta-tags Anarcho Amusements tries to give every sonic fiction it's distinct sound while still staying coherent. Nicola

Sintope bosses NTFO return to Bondage-Music to their ‘Esperantza’ EP. Title cut ‘Esperantza’ sees the duo go to work, fusing rolling, crisp percussion with rich sub-bass, before ‘Uppercut’ interjects, unveiling a production packed full of swing, reinforced by robust drum licks, skipping hats and sweeping synths.

On the flip, the first vinyl only cut ‘Lux’ reveals a smooth, stripped back effort, with lush, deep pads floating effortlessly over hazy background textures, whilst the electro influenced ‘Avoid’ closing things out in fine fashion, as trickling lead lines flow amongst and intricate organic percussion patterns across seven minutes.
