A relative newcomer, Antigone joined Token in 2015 after a succession of releases on well-respected imprints such as Concrete and Construct Re-Form. His first Token record was a 2LP statement of purpose, with hints of neo-classical ambience in the opener into decisive, utilitarian mesmerism for the dancefloor in later tracks. He returned again earlier this year with the Saudade EP for TOKEN59; an overall heavier offering that still manages to retain some of the delicacy of the first.
Now he's back with a 3 tracker for TOKEN68. Antigone employs an advancement on his usual sonic vocabulary to produce yet another record of surprising techno tracks. Static's lead is woody as it begins, then evolves with gradual accents - a confident off-beat hi hat and detailed highlights varying in aggression.
Shadow Play starts out more panicked than playful, then straightens out under the driving percussion. This track is all about noisy atmospherics, confusing our sense of space through masterful panning.
Where the A-side is staunchly anti-melodic, Walking Distance is dulcet in comparison. Amusing hi-end synth work captivates over a practical but absorbing bassline, gradually building just enough to keep us gripped without succumbing to extravagance.

Across four bristling cuts, he is the first to represent the label's dedication to classic techno with a modernist twist. Human Image further refines Manni's flair for constructing hypnotic techno that surges with detail. The four tracks provide a vivid dip into the dancefloor, placing you firmly in front of the speakers, head first into a manic dance. With previous releases on Black Sun Records and Perc Trax, as well as support from the likes of Surgeon, himself an inspiration for the label, Manni is the perfect artist to launch Leyla into the world. From the blistering roll out of 'Symbiotic' to the hypnotic pound of 'Bring The Brave In', the swung rhythm of 'Pascal's Gambit' to the cavernous inferno of 'I Was Desire', Human Image is a reflection of the bodily pleasures of techno. It is what you'd see if you could hold a mirror up to dancing devotees at any rave worldwide. It is, like Leyla's own occult origins, both light and dark. Leyla is a brand new label dedicated to recapturing the authentic feeling of techno from a specific era while retaining a modern touch. It's a platform for the music to grow with inspiration from a wide range of styles - industrial, folk, electro. Leyla brings it all together for a new generation.

It's been some months since the last Gold release but only David Phillips' two bangers 'Doogiehouser' and 'Daaance Daance' had the golden touch to deserve the expensive metal. And being played by Gold Rcrds boss Rainer Weichhold for a long time he knew exactely how to make his own version together with greek Kling Klong artist Vangelis Kostoxenakis. As Enzo Siffredi's last Keno Records release became such a big track in Rainer's dj set he was very glad that Enzo agreed for his remix of 'Doogiehouser'. Beware of the doogie.

From his days organising free parties in and around Northwest France during the early 2000s, Oniris has risen the classical way: years of DJing have given him an innate understanding of dancefloor dynamics and a firm crew and label to create with: Astropolis. Since breaking through in 2011, his tracks have rapidly picked up support from all the right corners: Agoria, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Marc Romboy and Josh Wink have all lent their support. Having already released some of his finest work on Bedrock and Systematic, its now Ovum's turn to play host to Oniris' latestwork, the Nightwalk EP. Eschewing his penchant for the peak time, Oniris steers away from the euphoric's of previous outings and, whilst retaining his melodic moves, creates a selection of deep, warm and groovy cuts with a spiky electric edge. Head-nodders, shoulder-droppers & hip-swingers rejoice, these slinky dancefloor numbers are for you. Support Coming from: Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Lane 8, Matthias Mayer, Christian Smith, Till Von Sein, Luca Bacchetti, Marc Romboy and more!

Following critically acclaimed releases from Eduardo De La Calle, Refracted, and Monomood, Connwax returns with another exceptional offering of bold and original techno. For this release, they have enlisted the help of a rising young talent in Berlin's underground scene: Akme. The producer and resident DJ of renowned club ://about blank demonstrates his uncommon technical precision and emotional depth with this debut EP, drawing on his vast array of influences and experiences across all genres. In ''Elements'', the bass drum takes centre stage. The engine room relentlessly driving everything forward. Yet as the track develops, a fine lattice work of detail starts to unfold. Meticulous percussive elements imbue the piece with an enigmatic depth as a sombre melody sweeps through the rough rhythmic landscape. We are allowed a brief moment to reflect before the bass drum continues its inexorable path forward. Akme takes a more reduced approach in ''Black Matter''. Space is left for the interplay between the understated acid bassline and delicate hi-hats to lock the track into a hypnotic groove. Here, the statement is defined by what is left unsaid. For the final track ''Concealing'', Akm

For their next release, Freeride Millenium once again link up with Pauls Musique for a perfectly formed new EP from Raphael Danilo feat. George Pappos. Both Danilo and Pappos reside in the rough edges of the greek mountain Parnassos, their musical approach takes cues from their proximity to the ancient sanctuary of Delphi and sees them cook up one fine cut which then gets remixed by Innellea and Nikkname. That lead single is 'Strangers', eight spiritual and spooky minutes of spine tingling and eerie synth music that really takes you on a trip. It operates on another dimension, with pixelated lines and undulating pads all suspending you in space. Perfect for an epic set opening or to really reset the dancefloor with an attention grabbing and emotive piece, it is a truly classy track full of musicality and suspense and atmosphere. German pair Innellea then step up to remix and brilliantly flip the cut into something just as epic and enchanting but with a mid tempo, rubbery house beat down low helping you slip into the deep and colourful groove. Last of all, Nikkname then re-works the whole thing into something minimal and absorbing. The whole thing is riddled with intricate sound design, tender piano keys and the sound of static. It is a real symphony of the organic and the electronic and as such cannot fail to make its mark. This is an artful package that demands close listening with suitably eye catching visuals supplied once again by artist Daniel Rajcsanyi. Thanks for purchasing a real copy!

Umek reprises his Zeta Reticula moniker for a welcome return to Billy Nasty's Electrix label with an innovative EP comprised of 4 new tracks, split between the two spheres of Electro and Techno.
The Slovenian-born DJ and producer should need no introduction, boasting more than two decades of experience, playing the world over, producing music for labels like Toolroom, Spinnin', Great Stuff, Intec or his own imprint, 1605 to name just a few, or presenting his hugely popular weekly radio show, Behind the Iron Curtain.
It's been some time since a Zeta Reticula release on Electrix, with 'EP 1' to 'EP 4' surfacing on the label between 2000 and 2003, although Umek has continued the project more recently with tracks on 1605.
The A-Side of 'EP 5' delivers some Electro flavour, opening with the serious Electro-funk of 'Electric Blood Complete', before the vintage sci-fi electronics and playful rave stabs of 'Euphonious'.
Over on the B-Side the Techno takes over with the deep and dub-drenched 'Encroach' followed by the tough Housey grooves of 'Radiate' to complete this bold package.

Marko De Gregorio & Tommy Paone aka Neverdogs are an Italian duo on the rise, over the past five years the pair have released material via the likes of Tenax Recordings and Oblack and this year has seen them hold a residency at Music On (Ibiza) held at the infamous Amnesia night club on the island. Here the duo return with some new original material for Decay Records, a blossoming British imprint home to music from the likes of Ed Davenport, Jay Tripwire and DJ W!ld, following their 'Hall 9000' release.
Title track 'This Is Not The End' opens the EP and sees Neverdogs deliver an eerie, hypnotic number with dubbed out synth flourishes, sparse rhythms and gradually blooming, ghostly vocal stylings. Morris Audio's Julien Sandre steps up to remix 'This Is Not the End' next and in typical fashion from the French producer he reshapes the original number into a groove-led house workout with crunchy drums, an unfaltering bass groove and sporadic glitched out synth licks.
On the flip side Neverdogs are back with 'September Time' taking things deeper with bright bell chimes, meandering bass notes, bright stab sequences and bubbling atmospherics, Canada's Nathan Barato then steps in round off the package with his take on 'September Time', delivering a more direct, loop driven interpretation on things.

Andreas Tilliander (Mokira, TM404) returns with a plunging set of skewed techno dubs for the mightily on-form Ideal label, his first new release for the label since the Bias Line 7' in 2010, and the
Hateless album released a decade ago.
Andreas Tilliander has gone some way to making his studio a bastion of dub music within his home city, Stockholm ever since emerging with the Cliphop for Raster-Noton in 2000 and
subsequently releasing a whole slew of influential releases for labels including Mille Plateaux, Type, Kontra and Skudge. With the heady churn of Compuriddim dispensed under his own name, Tilliander returns to the site of some of his earliest outings, Joachim Nordwall's iDEAL with a clutch of warped and murky
dub ecologies firming up as some of the most absorbing iterations of his adroitly smoked-out sound.
iDEAL were first turned on to Tilliander's music via his Ljud (2001) LP for Mille Plateaux, and have established an occasional yet crucial relationship ever since, resulting in highlights such as the
Dutty & Digital (2004) 12' and the Bias Line (2010) 7'. The Compuriddim set is the newest and most intoxicatingly textured addition to that collection; six tracks strong in pursuit of a elusive electro-acoustic geist that lives between the wires of his classic hardware, in the late night air of his studio.
In keeping with the classic tenets of dub production - less-is-more efficiency, constant movement within space - he executes a sort of psychoacoustic telekinesis with the 6 parts of Compuriddim,
skanking from the spiralling loops of drip bass and drums overlaid with windswept melodica in Twilight Circuit, to a grumbling but charming dub techno stepper on Mokirian Tekno Trak, then
letting it all go loose and floppy with the sloshing Afracid deviation of FR777 Skank.
Open Up The CV/Gate meanwhile kicks off the B-side at a bendy slow/fast bent lodged somewhere between Tin Man and AFX's slow mo Analords or Cheetah tracks, followed up by the ragged dub chord stagger of Return Of The Super Tape, and the EP's sweetest number, a bottom-heavy but dainty whorl of 303 dialogue seemingly detained for the most squashed and strange corners of the night or morning after.

MOTHER RECORDINGS is back once again with more of the floor filling beats that has made it one of the top labels of recent times. This latest is from SIMION, a producer with ties to labels like Suara and Hedoismn and one who here serves up two top cuts just in time for summer.
First up is CAN U FEEL IT, which is six minutes of ruling deep house with nervy melodies. Great vocal samples help add fire to the groove and it's easy to see this one getting some great reactions on the floor with its pure feel good house stylings.
DEEP INSIDE MY SOUL is a more jacked up and winky track with frazzled bass, rapped vocals and tons of energy in the drums and percussion. It is one that will send crowds wild when it explodes, and is a fat groove full of fun.
Once more MOTHER RECORDINGS comes correct with a pair of fine tracks from the always excellent SIMION.
Our man DILBY is back in the house with another top shelf EP on offer. This one is dedicated to his skateboarding roots, as you might recognize from the track titles.
First up is LEAP OF FAITH which is a rough bouncy house cut with a swinging beat and driving sub for maximum impact. As the track keeps pushing forward it presents and organ and piano melody which brings the funky feeling to the next level, ready to rip the party in half once the uplifting female vocal arrives!
HUBBA HIDEOUT brings a deeper atmosphere with chunky tribal drums and a lush arpeggio melody. A spine-tingling vocal is introduced which brings the track to a lush, hands up climax for hugs and smiles on the dance floor. Then the beat drops with a heavy synth riff to remind the crowd that they are there to dance and get loose again.
The MOTHER RECORDINGS fam have been testing these over summer and we are super excited for you to finally get your hands on them too.

We are proud to present Metodi Hristov for our next OFF SPIN Release. With his
unique style, ranging from the darker side of tech house, Bulgarian-based Producer
Metodi Hristov presents a 3-track Ep with some acid house elements and a wide
range of forward going soundspaces.
Another Day , first Track of the EP, starts with some radical percussion based house
that leads to a gliding deep base, underlined by vocals.
In collaboration with Gallya on She Said , the duo takes it to the deeper level and
combines spheric sounding percussion with gliding mallet notes which distinguish the
track. Afterhour straightness that involves all leftovers to move.
Last but not least, Simone Vitullo adds an arpeggiated techhouse-version of Another
Day to the EP. A dark sub surrounded by minimalistic hats and strict but heavy
beats bring down the sound of an great acidic house work.
Definitely an EP to play at dark and dusty hours.

Möd3rn is a global project from 3 wellknown artists who wanted to give a side project from their own solo career. It's a band, producing, playing live but it's also a label created only for the trio productions. Each releases will propose 3 tracks from the 3 artists. For that first one the famous trio propose 3 huges bombs Mö4, Mö5 and Mö6, 3 huge techno killer using rough skins with raw edit. Speech less and listen to that we can call Pure TEchno.
While carefully handling their respective careers, postponing then their obvious collaboration, Möd3rn trio's members have capitalized its desire and now deliver its mere substance, in the rightest moment, where, simply, all the distant forces converge.
The six daring, expert hands merge now into a unique entity, unanimously moving within the same effort towards techno music. Of the distinct identities merely remains the ethereal, synthetic essence devoted to the group, and the common musical passion that leads it. The formula is elaborated freely: each one's adjunctions -subtle keys, nervous chords, underground blows, rhythmical uproars- pour into a thick maelstrom, opaque, condensing Detroit's grieving sensibilities as well as last decade's bewildering cacophonies. The potion obtained is irresistible, an ecstatic hybrid, prodigiously actual, that renders all the genre's diversity and dynamism.
Chance intertwined their paths and now the three companions celebrate both the friendship that resulted and the good fortune that has driven it, by improvising live together as one faceless, solid body agitated by the urge of dance and music, composing the material that shall be processed later on to form their eponym label's releases.

This is the fifth release on the 6-volume Surgeon reissues label SRX, collecting together an important selection of one-off tracks and highly limited rarities.
* Fivo appeared on a release on Round Records and Pagga featured on the Underground UK compilation release by Kickin Records.
The B-side features 2 tracks from the mythical THX1139 which was previously only available on 50 white labels in 1996.
A few words from Surgeon about the SRX series:
While searching through old DAT tapes I was shocked to find how clear and dynamic many of my early tracks sounded, not the way I remembered them from the vinyl releases. Those early tracks, recorded 20 years ago, were mastered and cut by people who had no understanding of electronic music. I actually remember cutting a dubplate back then and being asked if my track was "supposed to sound like that" The engineer was so disgusted at my music that once the cut started he left the room until it was finished.
Although some of these releases have been repressed many times over the years, they have always been from the original plates from those early cuts; none have ever been re-mastered and recut in their original from. So I began carefully transferring everything from the original DAT tapes and working closely with Christoph Grote-Beverborg from Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin (who's been cutting my all my releases since 1996) to present this early material as it was originally intended.
Along with the early Downwards releases, I found high-quality unreleased tracks from that time as well as releases that had only been issued in limited pressings; those too are included in this project. For the packaging I commissioned Ken Meier and Yoonjai Choi from the New York design firm Common Name to create some sumptuous sleeve art.
