* On the Lunar Side Vittorio Di Mango present 'Epilessia' aimed straight to the jugular, a peak-time dance-floor destroyer constructed with machine gun precision over crystalline snares and opiated vocal reverberations.

Soma's Italian connection, Roberto Clementi, makes a welcome return opening his 2016 account with the solid, Wall Of People. Including a top notch remix form Ilian Tape label heads, Marco & Dario Zenker. Robert has slowly been building his credentials in the Techno world with some fine releases and this driving number is another to add to increasing discography with Soma.

The Zenker Brothers remix opens the EP as the Munich based duo lend their deep and highly refined production talents to Wall Of People. Ruptured beats play havoc with a shimmering high end and rattling percussive elements all tied in with a pulsing, modulating synth hook that keep the track feeling fairly dark. Clementi's original shows a much harder edge to his previous work with big, sub heavy beats worked around a more pumped up rhythm and tearing synth line

Summed&Dot are writing the 3rd chapter of GMUFs journey into the future. "Shadows in the dark EP" brings John and Filippo back together from a long time darkness. Fasten your seat belt and take a ride on their warm analog sound through time and space.

Following on from label boss Matthias Tanzmann's latest and great LP, Moon Harbour announce the return of a big talent to their ranks: that person is Ninetoes, aka German producer Özgür Yelmen, and he serves up a fine new single that finds brothers Santè and Re.You appearing together for the first time ever as remixers on the same EP.
Stuttgart's Yelmen has been busy in the last three years, making a name for himself as a producer with real skills after initially starting out making hip hop. His tunes, as well as lighting up Ibiza in recent summers, have got into the DJ bags of those who know and are always slick and engaging affairs that include a recent hit, 'Finder,' just recently reworked with none other than rave royalty Fatboy Slim. He has released on labels like Kling Klong, Saved Records and Play It Down, as well as contributing to Moon Harbour's Inhouse Vol.7, so is a man on the rise.
His standout offering here is 'All Night Long,' a texturally rich tech house cut with plenty of grit in the drums and coarse hits, but a smooth sense of soul in the subtle vocal yells that are buried in the groove. It is a peak time cut with real heart as well as plenty of drive, and is sure to become another big anthem for the man behind it.
Santè is a key player in the house world right now thanks to the influence of his Avotre label. This is his second remix on the label after a debut last year and finds the German artist reworking the track into a more dubbed out and bouncy roller that is stripped back and as fun as it is functional. It is a brilliantly no frills affair that will do plenty of damage.
Lastly, label regular Re.You adds his own spin and the fantastic result is six minutes of teasing, playful tech with bleepy melodies, deep drones and reverb heavy vocals that cast a truly hypnotic spell on all those who hear it.
Once again this is a refreshing and robust three track package that will invigorate any dance floor.

ussell Haswell strikes bone on this 2-track, 20 minute follow-up to the napalm massage of 'Conceptual nO!se' for Poland's Bocian label, and his fearsome split with Pain Jerk for Editions
Mego. It also marks his return to the catalytic Diagonal imprint after the deviant blatz of his '37 Minute Workout' LP in early 2014, which was hailed at No.11 in The Quietus albums of the year so far. 'Double A' renders Russell at his slyest and most honest, presenting spasmodic, un-edited improvisations belying influence from the pivotal epoch of diamond-cut '80s freestyle, industrial and Detroit techno. Depending on your perspective, they're either splintered, tetchy DJ tools or skeletal nO!se inversions. Either way, they bristle and spark with a compulsive nervous energy and disciplined impulse control that's Haswell to the core: challenging, uncompromising and bloody crucial. On the A-side, 'Foxy' sparks manic hi-hat chatter and bruxist squall masticated with unpredictable intensity, angled and affective like a box of knock-off fireworks hoyed at the 'floor. Stand back and watch 'em scatter. On the flip, the mercurial sleight-of-hand at play in 'One Take Dub No Edit' gestures the hard-ass chops of 12' bonus beats and the show-off breakdown edits of Carlos Berrio or The Latin Rascals. Not only a new release , not only a collaboration with the super-dead Brontosaurus Records ( most people referred to it as Boring-saurus) .. just as if this wasn't enough already: This time part-time sympatikus Sabrowsky is also responsible for the music! For his second EP as solo producer, Melokolektiv reveals three original bangers, with the first two exploring his techno side and the final track swinging more towards tech house.

Aptly entitled, the opening track Petrichor' evokes a rainy atmosphere by way of an acid infused zippy lead. With a steady, neutral groove, the track doesn't take the spotlight, but just seems to prepare the listener for the following offering. Despite popping up second in line, title track Virgo' is definitely the centerpiece of the release. With a full on submersed groove, stripped production and heavy bassline, its hypnotic groove is engaging while the punchy kicks lock it down.

Instilling a dystopian atmosphere by layering grave and ascending synths, Second Fall' is a tightly wound up piece. The tension slowly subdues after the breakdown but the overall mood remains compact, revealing an undulating percussion. All in all, a step into production maturity and an upturn from the French soundshaper.

Just one year after AFFKT's debut on Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold's label the spanish maestro is back on Kling Klong. Together with fabulous british singer Thomas Gandey (formerly Cagedbaby) he composed and produced 2 extraordinary pieces of timeless clubmusic which got remixed by Martin Eyerer and Miguel Bastida.

The last and eighth release in this series opens up with Christian Wunsch's remix of "Ex Machina" on the A-side - which is all hypnotic bounce, roaring chords, cutting through the irrepressible groove.
Mørbeck's remix of "Ghost Town" on A2 is an atmospheric but tough interpretation of the original, kicking hard with jackhammered drums, coupled with metal scraping metal sounds and a simplicity that makes it a handy tool to build great tension on the dance-floor. The B-side kicks off with Jonas Kopps's remix of "Miscellaneous Pt. 1" - creatively pairing the heavy rolling 909 drums with a classic four-on-the-floor clap pattern and topped with the eroded drones of the original track. B2 is a re-mastered version of the utterly timeless and epic club hit "1969" by the mastermind Christian Morgenstern himself.

Dreiklang Records set sail in February 2016 with the excellent First Contact EP which featured OCH, Hydergine and Kelovolt, three singular artists each handing in their own contrasting take on the same source material. The Berlin-based vinyl-only label now returns with the same concept for the Loop Continue EP. For their second release Dreiklang call upon three strong figures of the techno scene, each displaying a highly distinct voice in keeping with the triangular concept of the label: Scottish veteran Edit Select and Italian purveyors of everything dark and deep, Dino Sabatini and Claudio PRC. The three tracker kicks off with the deep sub-aquatic sounds of Tony Scott aka Edit Select, who produces the original version of Loop Continue, an introspective DJ tool. The Scottish producer goes straight to the point from the very start with a dusky loop that is slowly overcome by a glistening, luxuriant drone. Claudio PRC hands in a stunning rework. A hypnotizing bass drives the track forward while tranquil chords ease in and out of focus. Finally, Dino Sabatini, a regular collaborator of Edit Select, drops in fresh from the release of his Omonimo LP. The Outis Music boss closes the EP on a dreamy piece of broken-beat where beautiful glowing drones command attention. Loop Continue is set for vinyl-only release June 14th on Dreiklang. The records will come as a 180g vinyl with handmade covers by Nils Atland, limited to 500 pieces.

Hedonism is an ethical theory that pleasure, in a sense of satisfaction of desires, is the highest good and proper aim of human life, and this seems to also be HDNSM's ultimate musical objective. Their first release debuted as a kickstarter of Variant EP' V.A. series, showcasing three very different yet highly contemplative creations from Cumsecade, Anestie Gomez and Man Spider.

HDNSM flips the coin and for the second episode of Variant' series it lands on two very solid, incredibly moody and extensive works from fresh talents Shcaa and Cleymoore. The EP features two very different tracks yet they share the same minimalistic core. Both works are blessed with intricate micro-drum arrangements for those feeling groove hungry whilst still standing tall in the experimental abstract realm pleasing those who crave unusual frequencies.

A-side's Masquée' is one of Shcaa's typical rides between sound and silence and it is hard to find another artist who understands sound gaps between grooves better than Shcaa does. With his signature vocals and an incredibly delicious duality between acoustic instrumentalism and electronic slamming, this is a groovy, highly deep, very intelligently arranged piece.

The flip-side Nebula', signed by Pluie/Noir's boss Cleymoore, is a tip of an iceberg when it comes to the art of stripping down. In an apparently thin canvas of minimal drum arrangements there's a vast amount of sound frequencies underneath a steady ever-kicking groove, tricking your mind into thinking that you're hearing less than you actually perceive. Nebula is hypnotic and dense but focused and sophisticatedly groovy. Like the repetitive vocals you'll hear throughout the B-side, this V.A. sticks to your mind like an addiction of some sort and pushes HDNSM to a new standard of avant-garde and forward-thinking attitude.

As before, this vinyl only release comes in a gorgeous cover featuring a painting from Max Binski and the number of copies available is limited.

Disco Town U-key "Do The Right Thing" puts a neo soul re twist on the title track by Japan's hot producer Yuki Monolog.
The EP contains both "Instrumental" and "Raw Vocal" mixes of down tempo, funk groover "Losing Streak" and a crossover into a more raw form of Tom's funk comes by way of the guitar driven and funky keys of "Live it Up".

25-year-old Tim Green from the South of England is well-known to the attentive observer of the electronic dance music scene: Besides releases on Get Physical, Trapez and Four:Twenty Recordings, he also gained a lot of attention with his contributions to the third Cocoon 10 vinyl ("Lone Rider") and the Cocoon Compilation I ("Exercise").

Popping up for the first time on Figure SPC Y, it was the remarkable synth-work of UBX127 that instantly struck a chord with the label's demand for substantial techno. Now the Stockholm artist proves himself loyal and hits back twofold with a pair of EPs that further highlight his mastery of both vivid modulation and effective sequencing. Leading into this batch of new tunes are the crafty and beautifully fleshed-out synth-arpeggios of opener Han, which UBX127 complements gracefully by adding tender touches of melody. A2 cut Create and Destroy displays a new side to the producer that verges on the manic, building upon a swirling theme that soon flies into a lunatic frenzy. Soothing then are the spacious sounds of Barabrus, a crisp piece of floating breakbeats and shoving sub-bass. Living up to its name, Swells starts as a bold synth-led groove and slowly grows into a romping beast that rebels against glistening sonic whiplashes. Even in its own right Constant Permutation Part 1 stands as a cohesive and compelling record that will add to any collection. But with its equally strong successor already waiting in the wings, it is Ubx127 himself who will make a lasting impression.

Bas Roos is a DJ and producer from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He started DJ'ing at the age of 16 after spending some time on making his own music. A year later he released his first EP and from that moment on he started to develop a unique and fresh sound which has seen releases on Phil Weeks' Robsoul Label as well as Shir Khan's Black Jukebox Disco House Series on Exploited.
