Popping up for the first time on Figure SPC Y, it was the remarkable synth-work of UBX127 that instantly struck a chord with the label's demand for substantial techno. Now the Stockholm artist proves himself loyal and hits back twofold with a pair of EPs that further highlight his mastery of both vivid modulation and effective sequencing. Leading into this batch of new tunes are the crafty and beautifully fleshed-out synth-arpeggios of opener Han, which UBX127 complements gracefully by adding tender touches of melody. A2 cut Create and Destroy displays a new side to the producer that verges on the manic, building upon a swirling theme that soon flies into a lunatic frenzy. Soothing then are the spacious sounds of Barabrus, a crisp piece of floating breakbeats and shoving sub-bass. Living up to its name, Swells starts as a bold synth-led groove and slowly grows into a romping beast that rebels against glistening sonic whiplashes. Even in its own right Constant Permutation Part 1 stands as a cohesive and compelling record that will add to any collection. But with its equally strong successor already waiting in the wings, it is Ubx127 himself who will make a lasting impression.

Nyctophilia is the love of moody darkness and this concept is weaved into this super deep and atmospheric techno EP by Dorian Gray, where he keeps a strong focus on meticulous ambient loops moving into hypnotic techno rhythms.

In their most furious release to date, Blank Code presents the Strumpet EP. Kicking off with the distorted dirty stomp of the Original Mix, Drumcell and Material Object let loose this dark gem that thunders forth the forgotten language of noise. Crowned with explosive hi hats, Strumpet seems to tear through any speaker it touches.
The brooding Drumcell 'Desolate remix' begins with a paranoid modular synth line looping over a crisp kick drum that hits on every other beat, slowly obscured by hovering atmospheres. As the track progresses, the grotesque snarl from the original mix growls along at a slow pace as the main synth loop perpetually modulates, occasionally usurped by distorted guitar like wails.
Material Object's "Remix" gradually constructs the static smeared framework ex nihilo, building from a warm and empty beat into a screaming fistfight banger. By contrast, Brendon Moeller's "Echologist Trick" enters with a patiently subdued broken beat that struts a certain swagger with its crushing low bass. The track sulks along with a seductive deepness, occasionally flaring out with the artists' signature use of echoing delay and reverb.

Steve Parker from the beautiful Portuguese city of Oporto makes his debut on Aussie outfit Android Muziq with one of his personal faves to date "Thea EP".
Know for a unique and distinctive style, Steve Parker's biggest musical achievements, remotes back to 2009, when 'Mexilhao' topped the Beatport charts with an outstanding 3rd place on Techno 100, and in 2012 with Escuro EP being number 1 on Beatport Techno releases.
With previous releases on quality labels like Josh Wink's Ovum Recordings, Dubfire's Sci+Tec, or Sven Vath's legendary Cocoon Recordings, he always keeps pushing things better and better, and once again proves his talents with this new release consisting of three quality deep and hypnotic techno cuts Thea, Rhea, and Rod.

I did not know what achievements, what mockery, even what tortures awaited me. I knew nothing, and I persisted in the faith that the time of cruel miracles was not past .
Stanislaw Lem (Solaris, 1961).
This paragraph from Solaris, the novel written in 1961 by Stanislav Lem, is the starting point for the concept this 30drop album has been built upon. Science fiction masters like Lem are one of the greatest influences for the artist, who devised this album after the mental challenges that humans should overcome in a future: encounter with beings from other civilizations: capable of interacting with us in a totally unthinkable way so far.
Away from what many a sci-fi blockbuster depicts, this work revolves around the idea that such meeting with alien species will be eminently a mental experience that will shock not only our cultural values but also our very own perceptions about what space/time/reality is a mindbending experience where everything we knew before dissolves around us and propels us to uncharted grounds. Terra incognita so far.
Bypassing the random track collection syndrome that plagues many of today s so-called techno albums this LP was conceived and devised from it s very beginning as a full, complete work in itself, best enjoyed in it s totality. A story-telling journey (very much in the tradition of seminal / genre-defining albums as UR s X-102) were tracks lead you to one another. Tracks can be enjoyed on their own, being all suited for dancefloor and dj-sets alike, but take a complete different meaning when put in the right context within the album.
Musically this long-player combines stripped-down rhythms, sweeping pads and hypnotical bleeping sequences woven together in an intrincate but subtle way, a fashion that harks back to the classic minimalist yet complex mid-90 s sound of Hood, Mills and T.Dixon sounds appealing both the mind and the feet.
Classic and futuristic at the same time, this is a compelling journey that opens with the eerie atmospheres of Our Understanding before really taking off with the cadential NGC1277. The hypnotic Captured Rotation sets the pace for the rest of album which oscillates between the exhilarating cosmic groove of Beyond Language and the contemplative stasis of The Mirror. Other highlights include the entrancing Goldene Spirale or the furiously busy Approaching Light.
The whole package is further rounded up by a set of remixes which showcase the different directions taken by techno producers this days: from Substance s solid Berlin-style to Architectural s spaced-out visions via Rivet s hard-hitting club bangers and Zero Mass abrassive experiments.

* One of the most talked about tracks of 2015, Silly' by DJ Marky gets an amen break VIP remix that elevates and accentuates an already outstanding piece of music. Retaining the mood of the original, DJ Marky's VIP gives the track that little something extra that has seen many a crowd beg for the rewind at many a major festival and club night over the past two months.
* Another DJ Marky original backs up the release in the shape of Ready 2 Go'. A classic DJ Marky track full of sunshine and energy - similar to the Brazilian DJ's professional persona. Full of life and soul, Ready 2 Go' is a look forward to the summer season and all it entails.

For Moon Harbour's next top tech house trick they invite studio and dance floor wizard Marco
Faraone to serve up two great originals and then have Santé and Mathias Kaden remix them to
perfection.
Faraone is an Italian producer and DJ who has been turning out his singular sounds since 2008.
He appeared on Moon Harbour with his classic 'Strange Neighbours' back in 2010, as well as
on Truesoul, Desolat and Drumcode. He never disappoints with his beats and as a result DJs at
only the finest spaces from Panorama Bar to Tomorrowland.
Up first is 'Next Level', a track with a solid bed of physical, forceful beats. Loopy bass then joins
the fun with some sandy hi hats, and you are truly sucked into the infectious groove. Things get
loose with scattered hits, frazzled synth lines and clever use of filters, and the whole thing
makes for a wild ride. Next up, the excellent 'Old But Gold' is a more party-starting track with
playful bass and shimmering pads, as well as colourful synth lines and loose grooves that really
make you want to move. Vocal yelps and freewheeling chords add an intimate house party feel
to this most firmly rooted of house tracks and it is one that will surely get people going crazy.
Mathias Kaden's Arpe Noah Remix is another fine effort from the long standing Freude Am
Tanzen artist. It is filled with airy hi hats and is a cavernous track that really invites you to get
lost in its dubbed out and rolling rhythm. Another German in the form of Avotre label boss and
Do Not Sleep Ibiza resident Santé then tackles the same cut and takes it deep down into heady,
back room and sweaty territory. His marching beats and tough hits mark this out as a macho cut
that will keep people locked for days.
This fine coming together of old and new Moon Harbour associates is another testament to the
label's ability to evolve ahead of the times.

If nothing else, this year has shown the world that the Monkey Safari brothers are unstoppable... 2016 has already seen their release of three Vinyl-EPs: 'On' with remixes by Paco Osuna and Chloé back in March, 'Bernstein' with two remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER released in June, and 'Boris' with help from Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz in August, all out on their own label Hommage.
Now with their fourth EP of the year, entitled 'Woo', Sven and Lars have taken the world by surprise with their multidimensional and spirited style, as evident by their diverse, rapid-fire releases coming out like clockwork and made with a ton of love.
On the A-side Monkey Safari themselves bring the original track "Woo" (available only digitally) to a new level. The A-side also features some powerful feminine energy with a stunning remix by the renowned Quebecois duo BLOND:ISH, showing a highly danceable and sultry side of the track.
On the B-side "Verso" is an odyssey from somber to deep to luminous and back again, while the second track, Monkey Safari's "Verso Reconstruction Mix" sees the track transform into an odyssey of emotion from dark to upbeat.

Beautiful sonic sorcery from Cristi Cons and DeWalta. Elegant, warm, subtle but energetic music, creating a momentum of infinity. Our favorit Romanian artist known for his productions, his quality Amphia label, a:rpia:r as well as his SIT project with Vlad Caia teams up with DeWalta from Berlin who continues to refine his output on Meander. These two kindred spirits met at DeWaltas studio to create a spaced-out musical treatment, captivating body and mind. Lisa Milloy, joined the creative process, adding beautifully flowing words, recorded in one take as stream of conciousness. Breath in and dance to their melodies with a clever groove that just flows onwards. With the record Basorelief, released in 2014 Meander already introduced the greatly talented Cristi Cons to its circle. Now these two artists, bringing Bucharest and Berlin further together, deliver a hightly anticipated follow-up with this record filled with rhythmic material for the space between. 180gram vinyl, available in two editions: either as full cover-artwork or as limited edition with hand-made screen-printed cover-art.

They started at the age of 17 in the attic of an abandoned neighboring house, trying out Ableton and Midi-Keyboards. Now they find there output on Audiothentica with Remixes by Sven Kerkhoff and Frank Leicher, which we not have to appoint more. We are very happy about that release and waive the description. Crecimiento's first release pairs two titans of the deep house scene. Michel Cleis (Cadenza/Pampa) delivers 'Hey Lady Luck', a driving and percussive garage production based around the 'Lady Luck' vocal from Jamie Woon. And on the remix, Freerange Records headhoncho, Jimpster, weighs in with a solid version, stripped back and hypnotising, he also provides an Instrumental for those who shy away from vocals. 'Hey Lady Luck' has its roots in the Ibiza season of a couple of years back, when Cadenza Records headhoncho Luciano began to play the original acapella over his sets, to rapturous reception. Since then, this fusion has resulted in a handle of unofficial versions, but it's been Michel Cleis who delivers to comprehensive house version of this cut, blending a new vocal delivery from Liam Bailey with a highly infectious, percussive garage vibe. Huxley (Hypercolour) - loving this, both mixes are ace, think I will play Jimpster's mixes the most though Fish Go Deep (Defected) - Nicely done, both Original and Jimpster remixes work for me, supporting! Simon Dunmore (Defected) - digging the Jimpster remixes Roger Sanchez (Release Yourself) - great record, playing on the radio show DJ Chus (Stereo) - Wow, what a bomb! Gorge (8Bit) - Cool remix and Original, will be supporting Halo (H-Foundation) - Love it, will play all mixes Alex Niggeman (Poker Flat) - Jimpster remixes for me Kevin Griffiths (Tsuba) - Jimpster Dub mix for me, thanks Julien Sandre (Morris Audio) - Great release from 2 amazing artists, I love the Original but it's the special Jimpster bomb remix for me Catz 'n' Dogz (Dirtybird) - Jimpster is the man! Trevino is Marcus Intalex. He is widely known for making underground drum and bass. In 2011 he started the Trevino alias to feed his desire to get back to his roots and rekindle his 4 to the floor spirit. He was originally a house and techno dj learning his trade in the late eighties/early nineties. He was a regular hacienda punter, a huge fan of the belleville 3 and a keen late night reveller travelling throughout the UK to clubs and raves way before drum and bass even thought of. He worked his way up in the 90's via working in records shops, djing in clubs and radio, promoting events and producing some significant dnb 12's. From the end of the 90's marcus has been in high demand flying around the world peddling his love for deep drum and bass. He still does this but he now also splits his dj calendar with his other alias Trevino and his love for all things 4/4. Well most things, certainly not gabba or hard house or gospel house or scouse house or anything too happy or too cheesy or too slow or too fast or too hard or too soft....sorry i digress..
Marcus's other major passion is golf. He plays regulary, or he did before he moved toGermany, now he doesn't play at all but that's another story. The alias Trevino is named after Lee Trevino, his favourite golfer when he was growing up. Birdie, well you can guess the obvious golf reference there. There are also track titles of some his previous release that bare the names from the golfing glossary. For him it's just a bit of self indulgence. He doesn't take himself at all seriously and certainly ain't lead by image, fashion or changes in demand and music styles. He likes it pure.
So this all leads us to his current project. Entitled Front', this double ep/ album project has obvious golf connotations. The project will come in two parts with Back' to follow sometime within the next 12 months. Both will contain 9 tracks in the same way a golf course has 18 holes split into two halves Front & Back.
Marcus is keen to point out that the music has nothing to do with golf whatsoever, its just an idea he thought was a good challenge and keeps the golf thing rolling.
So here they are, 9 tracks, aimed squarely at the floor. Nothing too arsey or technical or intellectual, just 8 solid dancefloor cuts plus one short beatless thing to help make them all fit onto the vinyl..

Techno maverick, Vitalic, will be releasing the first single taken from his new album, 'Rave Age' on October 1st via Different Recordings. Entitled 'Stamina', it will feature artwork by legendary artist, Storm Thorgerson and remixes from Club Cheval and Le Castle Vania.
Renowned for his blistering, sought after productions, Vitalic will up the ante with an incendiary, brand new VTLZR live show starting in Europe this October all through till December.
The new album, 'Rave Age' looks set to be one of the standout releases of 2012. Mixed by legendary production wizard, Stephane Alf Briat, known for his work with Air and Phoenix, 'Rave Age' is a ballsy, firecracker of an album that showcases not just a passion for big room, electro smashers and electronica, but a broad set of influences that stretch from punk and film soundtracks to disco and indie dance.
Showcasing a myriad of talent roped in to give this album added punch, it features the vocal efforts of Joe Reeves (Shit Disco) on 'Fade Away' and 'Next I'm Ready'. French starlets Owlle and Rebeka Warrior (Sexy Sushi) appear on 'Under Your Sun' and 'La Mort Sur Le Dancefloor'. Mickael Karkousse from Belgium electro rockers, Goose, lends his skills to 'Rave Kids Go'.

Berlin experimental techno duo These Hidden Hands recently teamed up with Lucrecia Dalt for a 12 on Hidden Hundred, These Moments Dismantled. Karim Sahraoui, known by releases on labels such as Transmat, Cocoon and ARTS, as well as DJ appearances on Boiler Room and on dancefloors all around the world, makes his debut on OFF Recordings. Book Of Life is a melodic techno track in Karim's signature style. Warm and emotional, albeit with a strong drive for the dancefloor, it can set a strong accent in a set. Italy's DAST created a slamming peaktime techno interpretation, which is sure to create a massive effect on the dancefloor. Syncopated chords and a rolling groove build towards an epic break. "Exodus" is aptly named as a perfect track to close the set by the end of the night. Lush and warm pads and melodies evoke a warm and optimistic atmosphere. Anton Pieete remixed Exodus with a minimalistic and more groove-focused interpretation. Altogether an EP with a timeless feel, spanning the borders between techno, house and electronica.

The ring master's voice booms through the arena's speakers. "Ladies and Vagabonds. Round Three just kicked off and both teams seem bent on wrapping this up with brute force. The Good Guys seem to be cornering their malevolent adversaries there, but wait! a swift jab to the jaw and Team Decent hits the canvas" Rising talent Tell (Beat-x-Changers, Banoffee Pies) from Paris handles the opening play for the Good Guys on the third missive of the fledgling Quartet Series imprint. Tell seems to confirm Paris is rapidly reclaiming its former status as a hotbed for raw and moody house music by offering up a delectable blend of lavish chords, distorted sounds and melancholic vocals. Darko Kustura (Pole Jam, What's in the Box) throws in some additional punches for the Good Guys. The Croation beatsmith might not be the most prolific but made a name for himself with an amazing ep on Legendary Sound Research under his Teleskop moniker and treats the crowd to a wobbling groovy baseline and sugary sweet chords. Being Bad can be a good thing sometimes as well. The dark side has cookies, after all. Mancunian Loz Goddard (Dirt Crew, Outplay, Razor-n-Tape) steps out of his comfort zone and delivers a sonic uppercut with a mad piece of swinging acid. Accompanying him on the team is our Hungarian BAL 5000 (SPIEL) who flexes his acid muscle to disorientate and a dubby bass to sedate. The acid is his, but he's willing to share. All in all we'll have a very interesting fight ahead of us. DING DING!
