Nómada Records from Bogotá (Colombia) is very pleased to present its debut vinyl release called Nómada White 001', a Various Artists Ep which includes six finest House, Disco and Hip Hop producers from Latin America (Felipe Gordon - Jonahlo -
Lucien Magual - 4004 - Nico Saav - Discoholycs). The record is characterised by drunken beats, catchy samples, jazzy harmonies and warm analog sounds. Colombian producer Felipe Gordon is taking the lead with Damn, I'm Smooth' a Deep Jazzy lo-fi house with a catchy hip hop vocal sample and a killer groovy bassline.
Second track is delivered by another colombian named Jonahlo' who did an impressive Looped Uplifted House with a strong driving bassline and sweet vocal soul samples which are chopped perfectly for a clubbing vibe. The third turn is for the
venezuelan producer based in Colombia Lucien Magual' a talanted beatmaker who make us fly with a jazzy triphop with mellow samples and lush rhodes layers. On the side B you will find one of the finest house producers in México, His name is 4004 and he worked on a drunken hip hop jazzy beat with warm synths and dusty bright electric and rhodes pianos. Next to him is the colombian disco boy Nico Saav' who delivers a strong and danceable disco boogie track whit soulfoul vocal samples
chopped and a catchy acid bassline layer. The last track for the reléase was made for colombian duo Discoholycs' with Anje Uiatbasq Dub' a electro jazzy obscure track with a strong and groovy analog acid bassline, dusty rhodes layers, and some jazz
drum samples.

Conceived by the Leicester based music partnership of Jonna and Darran P. Mysterious Works heralds a fresh creative endeavor from two of the team behind what has been described as a 'midlands deep house institution' City Fly Records.

The new imprint comes correct with a tasty selection of mysteriously sourced and meticulously sampled cuts from Belgium's Pascal Garnier, aka Krewcial (Blue Note Records, Lumberjacks In Hell). Krewcial's appreciation for the music he samples is clear. His ability to reinterpret the original source, while bringing a respectful twist for today's increasingly clued up dancefloors is a skill that has earned him the respect and support from DJ's and musical tastemakers across the globe. The Krew Cuts EP will be available to order on a limited run of 300 vinyl pressings, worldwide from May 2018.

Mysterious acid rhythms, creeping from South America. ‘Eterna Procrastinacion’ has taken shape via the sounds of, Michelle. Off the back of her recent LP on ‘My Own Jupiter’ it is now her turn to show her cards on London’s OPIA. Accompanying her on the release is talented live artist and producer, Muten. Head first in to the deep end with ‘Virtual Analog’, no holds barred from Michelle, delivering a pacey number straight off the bat. Setting the tone for what is in store. Do not be fooled by the floating tones of ‘Clavia’, shortly in to the trip you will be transcended by an abrupt bassline, reinforced by a distinctive groove. Falling in to the dramatic synths of ‘Anomalia Armonica’ is an easy mistake to make, it simply can not be helped accompanied with the broken drums and acid rainfalls. A package coming from far outside the box is ‘Vlad’, Muten’s solo output on the release. An intriguing insight of his capabilities here. ‘Roll Tubes’ sees the pair explore new realms together, twisting and turning through the dark depths of ‘Eterna Procrastinacion’. No escape from this one.

Italian pairing Ruff Stuff have been living quite a charmed existence of late. Known individually as Nanni & Francois, this house-loving pair have rocked up on a host of well-renowned labels, including Quality Vibe, Neovinyl, Berlin Bass Collective, and King Street Sounds. However, it's their work on their own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which they're arguably best renowned. Their latest release, the sixth on the label, is arguably one of their best yet. Channeling classic house vibes throughout and calling on a remix from British man-of-the-moment Harrison BDP, it's an intoxicating listen that keeps the listener n their toes throughout.

Kicking off the release is the sounds of 'Ain't No Buddy'. The sort of up-tempo jam that would make Kerri Chandler blush, this one bares all the hallmarks of a classic Strictly or Nu Groove jam. Feeling a wailing diva vocal at its core, this is trippy house of the sort that's most definitely been made for the dancefloor. Absolutely spellbinding stuff.

The A side is then rounded off courtesy of another original, 'Last Chance'. The boys cleverly keep the energy intact on this one, with another banging track that follows a similar framework to what's arrived before. Another high energy cut with a raucous baseline, this one too is sure to elicit complete pandemonium on the dancefloor. The aforementioned Harrison BDP then gets the B side underway via a remix that's a far cry from the original. More restrained and atmospheric than its predecessor, it serves up a neat interpretation that nicely compliments the merits of the original.

Closing off the bumper package is the sounds of Ruff Stuff's 'BrainTrust'. As is often the case, the B2 here is an absolute weapon - and one that's sure to win the boys plaudits aplenty. A refined, timeless-sounding gem, 'BrainTrust' has 'class' etched firmly on its side. A stunning array of tracks that showcase just what this duo is about, the label's sixth release is definitely one worth savouring.

Mixing samples, his own voice and continuing the fusion of reggaeton and breakbeat/techno from previous releases, the Silvestre Is Boss EP aims for a hazy vibe.AAAs Silvestre explains: The pad and synth choices on this EP are picked specifically to sound dreamy, a dream where you arrive at the club but the party is already finished, which sucks." Silvestre began making his name in 2015 with his first release on the Diskotopia label from Tokyo and followed that up with appearances on Creme Organization and Paraiso. He then dropped the killer 'All The Things' EP of mid-tempo party bangers on his own Padre Himalaya label which reached the top 30 of Phonica's illustrious Singles of the Year list. The Silvestre Is Boss EP is his strongest work to date with 5 tracks of quality floor and headphone directed material that perfectly balances the need for playful melody and harmony with tough grooves and synthetic ambience. Founded in 1992, Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records has been flying the flag within electronic music as a one of the industry’s most well respected and quintessential imprints for over 25 years, delivering quality productions from leading names across the complete house sphere. Having welcomed Detroit Swindle, Peggy Gou, Josh Butler and Jimpster to remix Chandler in their first ‘Remixed’ instalment, released in early 2018, here we see the imprint revisit the label founder’s iconic discography once again as four new names rework a fresh selection of both solo and collaborative cuts, with Henrik Schwarz, D’Julz, KETTAMA and Marquis Hawkes combining to deliver Vol. 2 this October.
Up first, Henrik Schwarz’s take on Chandler and Jerome Sydenham’s 1999 cut ‘Powder’ builds upon the original production’s slick drum work with rich, jazz-tinged chords to reveal an elegant and stylish slice of house music, whilst D’Julz’s groove-heavy remix of ‘Peace Of Mind’ fuses dubby pads and skipping organic drums packed full of swing as the Parisian turns in yet another must-have effort. Next, KETTAMA’s bustling ‘Garage Remix’ of Kerri and Lafayette’s ‘Better Late Than Ever’ takes cues from its title as the Irish talent hones in on a snaking, driving bassline accented by classic soulful vocal hooks, before rounding out proceedings in style through Marquis Hawkes ‘Classic Club Vocal’ remix of Kerri Chandler and Jiletta Riley’s ‘The Way It Was’, unveiling a sun-soaked and infectious final cut that pays homage to Chandler’s trademark New Jersey palette in ever-impressing fashion.

Hailing from Ibiza, Beeyou makes its first outing as a label with a strong selection of up and coming talent. Laidlaw is first on the scene with a crafty little minimal number that certainly sounds tailored to the up all night crew with its heady atmosphere, playful swing and micro samples. Ben Ulrich's "Bedun" is equally seductive, playing a trade in stripped down electro that shuns obvious dancefloor moves in favour of pure hypnotism. Kesh holds down the B-side with two more maximal offerings that still align with the inventive, sleek aesthetics of the A-side tracks. "Enebodiom" is a feel good jam without ever resorting to cheesy melodies or vocal touches - it's a jazzed out variation on positivity in house music. "We Love You Michael" completes the record with a quintessential skittering, swinging house cut that keeps the freakiness in abundance and the drums as funky as possible.

On their 15th offering Maeve present you two originals from New Jackson, each backed with a remix by label head: Mano Le Tough.

Crosstown Rebels welcome Tochno Techno label owner Yulia Niko to release her first full EP, Paradise, a captivating three track EP featuring jazz bossanova vocalist Sil Romero and Italian talent Cioz on remix duty. Opening track Caminando encapsulates Yulia’s inspiration from walking on the White Isle of Ibiza where she spent the last year living. The hypnotising deep house melody of swirly synth pads and Sil Romero’s beautiful dreamy vocals wash over skipping percussion in an emotive composition. Cioz puts his own melodic stamp on the remix, creating a progressive club piece with bright keys over a reshaped bass line. Paradise continues the warm, ethereal atmosphere of the EP, bongos dance on hats as lush, relaxing tones fade in and out. Russian-born DJ, producer and label owner, Yulia Niko learned her trade in the clubs of her hometown before moving to the US to work as a resident DJ at Verboten, Brooklyn and Heart in Miami. Now touring the world, she is based in Berlin and runs a vinyl only label, Tochno Techno. She has also released on other esteemed labels such as Get Physical Music, Nervous, Heisenberg, Natura Viva and Dee-P-erfect.

Over just a couple of releases Kristjan Kroupa has developed a sound which is both singular and versatile, taking in elements on house, techno and minimal without ever really being any one alone. Initiation Rituals sees him take his deepest exploration into the deep, dark, club music which he is becoming recognised for.

A record of detailed, percussive sounds, the release sees Alleged Witches present a package of sounds which is clearly inspired by his fascination with the occult, the strange and the sinister as his name might suggest.

The nuanced artist now calls Detroit home, and the latest work evokes the spirit of the regions deep musical history. It's a little later in the night, still soulful, but the palette has shifted.
After locating the errant poet àj magic wandering the high deserts of the southern US, the longtime collaborator arrived to narrate the journey. The result is an album that sparkles.

Coming next on Freerange we’re very happy to announce our first Argentinian artist to the label, the highly talented DJ and producer Manuel Sahagun. Manuel has been putting out house music since the early 2000’s and has released tunes on Berlin’s Tooman, UK’s Drop, and Detroit’s Kolour as well as remixing Warren ‘Hanna’ Harris, Robert Owens and Patrick Chardronnet. He brings a freshness and eclecticism to his productions that fits in perfectly with the Freerange ethos of forward-thinking house music loaded with warmth and a touch of soul. The ‘Closest Star’ EP is a superb four-tracker that draws on diverse influences to great effect, and is one of the most original, yet floor-friendly sounding collections of music we’ve heard for a while. The title track is an epic, glittering bundle of arpeggios, electro toms and 70’s string stabs, all sitting perfectly on a sequenced Italo-esque bassline. Imagine combining all the parts of your favourite disco records and then giving them a cutting-edge contemporary flavour and you’ll have an idea of what this highly effective bubbling groove will do to your dance floor.
‘On Point’ sees Manuel pile on layers of intricate rolling percussion, warm pads, electronic squiggles and distorted vocals for a highly distinctive take on the deep house template, one that’s both underground and simultaneously accessible. ‘Awake’ features another superbly tight underground house groove and an insistent disco riff. Part pristine 80’s pop and part French Touch, ‘Awake’ pays close attention to detail in the production and it comes with a killer arms-in-the-air phased breakdown to maintain the energy.
The EP finishes up with ‘Juno Ride’, a nostalgic yet contemporary collection of metallic synths, gentle synth chords and counter melodies, all riding a fat Moog b-line, with just a hint of the very best of 80s synth-pop. The pristine percussion and a seriously effective dance floor-targeted arrangement all add up to a highly usable DJ weapon. All in all, a super-original sounding house EP, perfect for summer rooftops, beach parties or indeed the heaviest early morning club sessions!

Alexander Gentil is as polished at compiling his futuristic sounds and unique fresh vision into tracks that leave listeners yearning for more. The Journey starts with a field recording of children playing in a playground, as the laughs and joyfulness evolve, it is taken over by dark atmospheric textures & a haunting melody line that flies throughout the record. Continuing the experience minimalist Composer & part of the Soundwalk Collective Kamran Sadeghi gives the record a new twist and a more dancefloor-oriented approach, Following it The record Inertia, is a dark and groovy record with a 303 acid Motif all throughout and beautiful reverberated sax melodies that keep the listener locked in. Salvation keeps things mysterious and concludes the EP as a bonus track only available for the vinyl release.

Nudge boys complete the job on the B side with two lovely moody yet proper house cuts !

The first Inner Shift encounter with Ewan Jansen was several years ago on a pair of test pressings, from Mike Grant of Moods and Grooves. The label hadn't even begun yet, but Ewan created a huge impression and wasn't to be forgotten by them later. Ffwd to 2016/17, Enter: "Return to Hyperbola". The first track in, you get a good tech house / deep house vibe called 'Docking Lane', fully equipped with lovely atmospheres, a driving kick and intelligent chords. Next is Bulkhead, mainly defined by a full-sounding, broken beat rhythm and expressive keyboards. B1 is 'Deceleration', another 4-4 deep house number, but with a subtle quirkiness and over all moody feel. On the B2 is 'Perspex', featuring a funky bass, nice pads and elevating keyboard part. Don't miss out, Ewan never fails to impress.

Inching ever closer to their 20th release milestone, Love Notes (from Brooklyn) puts on offer here an effort that's quite represenative of modern NYC, with the Brooklyn based artist whom they've been working hard to develop, tape_hiss, getting his signature, emotionally wrought sounds re-rubbed by none other than heavy hitter and worldwide NYC representative, the mighty Joey Anderson. The soaring strings, pensive melodies, and crisp percussion of the originals shine, and Mr. Anderson does what he does to the title track with great aplomb; breaking things down and rebuilding in just such a way that remains complimentary the EP on the whole, but is unique at the same time. Exquisite.

Anton Lanski was born and grew up in a small industrial city with a strange name - Izhevsk. The factory town back in the days. Music has always accompanied me. And as in any movie the soundtrack changed from scene to scene, from year to year, from mood to mood. This record is a collection of sketches. This is the music of a vast factory area, poorly lit parks, and dark alleys. Music of bridge along the waterfront and a huge artificial pond. An oath to love and an ode to hate. Vinyl tastes better...

After his first three EPs on the label, the much talked about debut album from Glasgows Big Miz is ready to drop on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams! From start to finish Build/Destroy really showcases his effortless feel for the weird funk. From the tweaked out organ solos on "Hammond Groove" and the live bass jam of "Straight Thru Cru" to the straight up brain rattler of "Gear Tension".
