Some good things take time, originally produced by Stefan Betke in 2008, "Paris-Beirut-Texas never went beyond the point of being a funky and very rough sketch. For various reasons it got stuck in his live performances and "Paris-Beirut-Texas was never completely finished until the end of 2015.
We are very happy that this groovy deep driving dub techno pearl is finally being released on vinyl!

The B-side has Japanese producer SO INAGAWA turning the original version into a light footed swinging house track.

Floating away on the melancholic synth and piano arrangement, whilst the straight yet subtle 808 house beat keeps your feet dancing on the line.

Iron Curtis previous 2 EP's on Hudd Traxx were both classics and Lights EP - Part 1 delivers the good again. Johannes Paluka drops the title track 'Lights' first up and serves up a deep and groovy house bomb. Captured completes the A side in fine style with hypnotic sounds, a hook vox and a smooth bassline to boot. Flip for the B Side for more laid back vibes rounding off a solid EP which sets up Part 2 nicely.

Seb Zito is an essential piece of the Fuse jigsaw and his Flat 1 EP sees the London based producer continue his ascent with his most dance floor focused tracks yet, harnessing the spirit of London's halcyon tech-house days. The vinyl only Burnaby kicks things off; a blissed out wiggler of a groove, the tracks b-line undulating throughout the track to give a real sense of character whilst Holywell slams hard with its thudding kick and rampant percussion

Shore is a vibraphonist and composer based in Brooklyn. Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter from Mister Saturday Night met him through NYC music institution, Nublu, where he worked with the legendary jazz maestro Butch Morris and Sex Mob and Tom Waits drummer Kenny Wollesen. At the very first Planetarium listening session, where Eamon and Justin blend records into live performances for people sprawled on the floor of a loft for six hours, one of Justin's friends leaned over to him and asked, "What is this record It's amazing." It wasn't a record. It was Shore, playing A Hundred Times in the corner of the room.

Brooklyn's Son of Sound joins hometown label Razor-N-Tape with The Dusty Files EP, a 4-tracker that embodies the gritty and driving sound of the borough.

The A-side kicks off with Your Voodo's Broken, a track that builds to mid-tempo looped perfection even before the floor-shaking bass drops, followed by the beguiling synth patterns and efficient yet driving drums of No Bullets Left.

On the flip side, Nude Jerzee eschews the bridges and tunnels and takes us straight to NJ by way of outer space, and then What Do You Feel floats us gently back to earth on a cloud of strings, electric pianos and a chugging disco beat.

The second instalment from the Bristol based Fate And Fiction stables follows the V/A EP from Ishmael, Thrilogy, Admin and Remotif with a big four tracker from label boss, Lee Pattison aka Thrilogy. Again, expect organic, bass heavy, deep house with dusty samples and an acidic, big room, 6am moment in the special 'The Fate'

The summer of 2015 sees Gruuv celebrate 5 years in the game. We've put together a brand new compilation featuring 25 of our favourite artists, which will be released as 6 x 4 track vinyl releases every two weeks throughout the summer and features artwork from the renowned Victoria Topping. Each EP will be released on limited edition vinyl, with a free poster and sticker inside, uniquely stamped from 001 - 500.

Over 3 years ago, Casey Tucker was thrust into the limelight after 15 years in the shadows. Never truly getting the recognition for is Detroit influenced and post rave sound in the 90s, For Those That Knoe reissued some of Casey's classic material and unearthed some gems on DAT in 2013. Fast forward to the current day and a recent treasure trove was uncovered and some fresh DATs untouched since the late 90s were discovered! Ben promptly bought a DAT player on Ebay and shipped it to Casey's home for the un-dusting to commence. FTTK has worked with Casey to present another round of authentic material spread across a further three EPs.The track Carpet Dancer has been in demand since the Fine Balance Recordings gained deserved attention. Originally featuring as the A Side on the very first fine Balance EP, it evokes all of the emotions that Casey's music can muster.Juxtaposition is a slower groovy effort with meandering chords, trademark fizzy percussion and topped off with a lush string finale.Whatever Comes to Mind rounds off the EP with a rolling percussive bassline, delicate arps and smooth sweeping pads.

Marathons began innocently, as a quick debut EP by an energetic Swedish duo we found on SoundCloud. Within a couple months of chatting with the pair, Artur Bra¨ndstrom and Egil Kahlbom, however, we realized our collaboration wasn't going to be simple, so cut and dry, so straightforward, and that's why we find ourselves here, a year after meeting them with a full album, not an in-and-out single, on our hands.
What made it complex and intricate, you ask Why'd we opt to squeeze eight originals into one long-player, you wonder Well, Artur and Egil are prolific dudes with fantastic ears and formidable work ethics. A couple of demos quickly sprouted offspring and became four, then six, then ten. Rather than fight the arbitrary desire to trim the spread down to a 12', we figured we'd aim higher and work on a proper album. What we constructed is, in a very classic sense, a long-player.
Here's that album! It's a sunny, loose, limber, uninhibited boogie through warm disco cuts and wobbly house jams and soulful funk slices. Daytime chill-out with a nightclub architecture—or peak hour mayhem with a bright, clearheaded euphoria. Marathons swings every which way and suits any mood, so drop that needle and try it on. Then repeat, repeat, repeat.

In 2016, Tommy Vicari Jnr continues to be a name on everybody's lips. Following his recent releases on Drifted and Robsoul - as well his much hyped reissue as 76-79 on Cabinet - he joins Nixwax for this hotly tipped release.

Unknown Mobile has quietly carved out a place for himself in the ever-evolving Vancouver beat camp among contemporaries like Mood Hut, 1080p and Project Pablo.
Last year's 'No Motion' 12 on A/S/L Singles Club was Levi Bruce's dreamy introduction to most, and 2017 finds him stretching out a bit to further expand his palate of rhythms and textures across the five track 'Mixed Use' EP for Young Adults.

'Four Sided Pebble' is a breezy bouncer woven with tickled keys, raw bass and a seamlessly organic live feel throughout.
'Shoreline Dub' pulses in stuttered syncopation, but keeps its sights set on the dusk dusted horizon with delayed rhodes chords and ocean swells.
'Country Side' is a total mind-melt, a pastoral graze through mazes of circuit board crop circles.
'The Juggler' churns a buttery 4/4 beat in an echo chamber, while 'Proteus 216' dims the lights on its way out to an interstellar communications convention.

Eliphino's Joy in Repetition imprint presents Will Lister's sophomore release, "Space to Breathe". After a solid introduction to the world on Phonica Records in 2015, this EP finds Will in strident form displaying production acumen that belies /beyond his 20 years. Floating around the 110bpm mark, there are prominent elements of jazz, hip hop and house music. His production efforts create a warm ethereal atmosphere cut with a tough percussive edge.
This prodigious young producer has a great deal of talent and will be someone you'll hear a lot more about in the coming years.

Bedouin is the Brooklyn-based production and DJ partnership between nomads Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki. Bringing their unique spell of melodies and rhythms to Crosstown Rebels, they deliver their cover version of the famous Pink Floyd classic, Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun. Guy Gerber also steps in to deliver a deeply mystical dance floor remix.

Sharing an eclectic sonic vision that pulls from diverse influences owing to their Middle Eastern heritage, Western upbringing, and world travels, here Bedouin deliver some of their best productions to date. Getting the chance to play the song to Pink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason personally and him liking it was very exciting for us. We're also happy to have the very talented and our good friend Guy Gerber to be the first ever to remix one of our tracks. The b-side, 'Guacamole', is an original track conceived in Mexico and made for the dance floor.'

In 2016, as well as touring the world extensively, Bedouin curated a compilation entitled Kindisch Stories and had the honour of recording an Essential Mix for Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 show. 2017 saw the launch of their brand SAGA at Heart Ibiza, where they turn Ibiza Sundays into a mirage of musical odysseys. Guy Gerber also runs his highly successful Rumors party in Ibiza on Sundays, which takes the same name as his acclaimed record label.

Stallions! Glenn Underground strikes back, this time together with Boo Williams (as long time collaboration project, SJU - Strictly Jaz Unit) on DeepArtSounds!

Der Pop-Avantgardist John Maus präsentiert sein viertes Studioalbum "Screen Memories"! Nach dem Erscheinen seines aufsehenerregenden Albums "We Must Become The Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves" (2011) ging Maus auf ausgiebige Tour, veröffentlichte ein Jahr später "A Collection of Rarities and Previously Unreleased Material" und verschwand dann von der Bildfläche, um sich seiner akademischen Ausbildung zu widmen. Nachdem er diese mit dem Doktortitel in Politischer Philosophie abschloss, widmete er sich dem Bauen von modularen Synthesizern und eigenen Panels. Gleichzeitig komplettierte er "Screen Memories" in völliger Eigenregie in seinem abgeschiedenen Zuhause, der so genannten Funny Farm in Minnesota. Der erste Vorgeschmack des Resultates war Ende August mit dem Album-Opener "The Combine" zu hören. Darin singt Maus mit sonorer Stimme und im charmant-elektronischen Barock-Soundkleid: "It's going to dust us all to nothing, man. I see the combine coming."

Field Records welcomes a new name into the fold with its next EP. That name is Kiyoko, and it pertains to the UK duo of Jack Lever and Joe McBride. After albums and EPs on Auxiliary and Samurai Horo, they now offer up four more ambient electronic cuts that again suspend you in a blissful sonic world.

If you've been with us for a while, you've noticed we like to begin each year on a particularly exuberant, boisterous note, and 2016's kickoff is no different than those that preceded it!

We begin the second half of this decade with our first EP by Klaves, a relatively new name whom you might've picked up on when he released a spectacular single on PMR's Beat Club imprint. He's remained quite quiet since then, so we're extra joyous to be unleashing what is effectively his second offering on our humble label.

Say It starts off with its title track, a compact, tight little number that fidgets its way through its four minute runtime in what feels half as long. It's always the fun stuff that's most fleeting, right Well, not necessarily: the original is followed by a slightly lengthier remix by Studio Barnhus affiliate, the enigmatic and idiosyncratic Baba Stiltz. The Swede spices 'Say It' up with a ladle of saucy piano and playful pitch bends.

The B-side, 'Awake,' does what its name indicates it's supposed to and keeps you alert. The swinging shuffler takes the energy of the first tune and ratchets it up yet another notch for an explosive finale. Or beginning! One of our favorite things about this 12' is that, despite zipping by in a flurry of adrenaline, it can be played back to front and front to back and still have the same effect. Short and sweet. Very sweet.

After the first release on Subfield and the joint EP with fellow Belgian DC Salas, "Until You're Worth It" (SF003) now sees Mugwump collaborating with Norwegian disco godfather Päl Nyhus from Mungolian Jetset (Smalltown Supersound) & Tore Gjedrem from killer duo Ost & Kjex (Diynamic). They both provide eerie Prince-like vocals for a slice of psychedelic funk-pop that is the first excerpt from Mugwump's brilliant forthcoming debut album (entitled "Unspell" and scheduled for release on 22.03.2015). This song about commitment, failure and hope of selfimprovement is a departure from Mugwump's full-on club sound and ventures in the realms of modern pop. To keep hing balanced and party-related, the release comes with a fantastic mid-tempo chugger from UK Dance supremo Andrew Weatherall. Andrew has championed most of Mugwump's output over the years and has even taken the mic on this version, delivering a few additionnal vocals onto his brilliant remix. Another Mugwump acquaintance, Mark E has commited to support the release too, with TWO mind-bending mixes, the first being included here. This 3rd release on Subfield marks the beginning of yet another chapter in Mugwump's music odyssey that will bring a new album, a live show and some new original videos.

After serving up some killer original tracks from Obrotka, Abstract Music now enlists the services
of Nikola Gala and Jay Bliss to rework one of the standout cuts. The results, invariably, are
excellent.

Obotka has been active since the 90s, has played almost every decent club in the world and
because of his excellent discography taking in labels like Underground Records, Abstract Music
and Wasabi is a revered part of the global dance community.

First to remix his 'Who Needs Enemies' cut is Romanian 2020 Vision and All Inn records
associate Jay Bliss. He flips the track into a deep, rubbery house groover with muted neon
chords & crisp percussion. It's a no nonsense affair with infectious and icy hi hats that really get
under your skin.

Next up, Nikola Gala is a prolific producer whose impeccably produced tracks have become big
releases for Ibadan Records, Rekids, Freerange Records and Plastic City. He serves up two
remixes, the first of which is a Dubby Mix of 'Who Needs Enemies.' Stripping things back to an
essential, locked on groove, hunched drums, rolling hits and frazzled synth lines all make for a
seductive track that is warm and organic in all the right ways.

Finally, Gala turns out a Techy Mix of the same track that is much quicker, more urgent and
banging. Metallic chords, grinding bass and indecipherable vocal cries all characterise this more
physical version and it will bang in clubs as a result.

All three remixes here offer something slightly different, but something equally essential, for all
the real DJs out there.

Producer and dj from Cantabria Pablo Bolívar signs the new release in his very own Seven Villas, in which he takes the chance to interpret -'remixwise'- the tracks on the album 'Traverse' -by Sensual Physics which was originally released in 7V in 2016.

We are facing a very special project for Pablo Bolívar this time. His admiration for the veteran german producer Joerg Schuster -one of Pablo's musical heroes- gets highly reflected in each one of the eight revisions which form this 'Traverse (Reprise)'. What Pablo exactly does is to respect the original escapist, dubby and ambient spirit of the original trip proposed by 'Traverse', by means of adding a soft, deep and sophisticated club aura. He turn that the album Sensual Physics takes into the most characteristic 'Bolívar' style is tasteful and subtle, therefore it seems a sequel of the original one. No crashes, no harshness. Here everything flows simply in a natural way, especially that ambient-deep and tech fog which just adds a punch in any case. Tunes as 'Mondragon', 'Málaga' or 'Miracle' -among others- acquire a new dimension when touched by Pablo Bolívar's hands: always looking to their origin with respect to the original producer and the delicacy of a revised piece of work.

"INCREDIBLE ADVENTURES IN KHAZAR KHAGANTE" from the Moscow based duo known for remixes for FUTURE CLASSICS, LOVEMONK and TIGERS ON A LEASH is their first original release. Skillful use of samples and a nu disco bassline and a remix by STALLIONS (ESP, INTERNASJONAL). Mastered by KUNIYUKI TAKAHASHI!

Wrapping up the summer with a bit of a 90s throwback number by St. David, Fools Jam. The EP opens with the the titual track, a crunchy, crisp deep house burner, and moves on, with 'Night Lovers,' into speedier, smoother floor-filling fodder that's all wiggling, weaving pads and synth leads. The B is a little gentler and more contemplative, but no less melodious; 'Dream It (Emphasi Mix)' is a playful yet gauzy piano-led tune that serenades the listener, and 'La Luna (Spiritual Dub)' is a tranquil ditty that serenely glides off into the distance. A calming, mellow conclusion to a particularly emotive 12-inch.

This is a label that I have been meaning to start for years. However, with a possible twist of fate, it is the right time and the perfect body of music to be able to commit to vinyl. These are records that I am honoured to own and play out.
A new label from Bristol based artist, Thrilogy (also known as Lee Pattison who previously recorded as Deepgroove (Rekids, Cocoon, Klang Elektronik, Junior Boys Own). Expect "Organic dusty sampling Deep House and Techno from Bristol artists and friends further afield" and hand-drawn artwork by local artist Anna Higgie. Thrilogy has previously recorded on WOLF Music, Futureboogie and OM Records and look forward to an EP on Omena with an exciting Man Power Remix.
Also, Ishmael finishes the year on a high; his debut album 'Sometime in Space' (on Church Records) showcased the multi-instrumentalist's jazzy house cuts alongside peak time techno and chilling ambient pieces. Since then Ishmael has been touring his Live show, as well as releasing some of the most inventive house music to come out of the UK.
Remotif is a Bristol based DJ and producer who has been making and releasing music for nearly a decade. His unique flavour of soulful, sample-driven house has been supported by the likes of Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, Axel Boman, Kon and many others.

Lovedancing tap Detroiter, Alton Miller and Brooklynite-by-way-of-Florida's Will Buck for a 4 track, split EP of deep vibes that will work a floor as well by the pool or in the basement.

Austin Ato is the latest project from Colin Bailey, the multi talented producer from Oban in Scotland who has been the man behind the Drums Of Death moniker since 2008, and has also recorded under the Frankie Dreams and Coba aliases. With forthcoming material also due on Phonica White, Ato lands on Futureboogie with the massive feel good vibes of 'Music Will Save The Day', backed with two superb remixes from Auntie Flo and Christophe.
Featured here are two original mixes of 'Music Will Save The Day'. The 'Dub Mix' the is classic house music jam, packed full of energizing musical flourishes, from the Balearic tinges of the sequenced mallet riff, whimsical pads and booming bassline to the searing crowd chant and the joyous piano motif. Ato displays some serious musical chops here, which are further enhanced on the 'Vocal Mix' with the addition of a bi-lingual vocal hook that will surely act as a call to arms on any discerning dancefloor.
On the 'Auntie Flo's Hidden Garden Remix', the Huntleys & Palmers mainstay strips things right back for a beatless excursion, letting the percussive elements drive the forward motion whilst the melodies and thick synth pads wash over like crashing waves, a great reinterpretation by Brian d'Souza AKA Auntie Flo.
Futureboogie's very own Christophe provides the second remix; tweaking an acid riff over a heavy, old school drumbeat and teasing in the musical elements, providing a tougher and more jackin' take on the Original Mix, whilst keeping faithful to the original vibe.

Outstrip Wax hits release number three in some style with a split EP featuring fresh tunes from Carlos Sanchez and Juliche Hernandez as well as remixes from Outstrip and DJ Honesty.
It makes for another tasteful package for the real soul heads out there.

After a quiet 2016 which saw the label release only a single EP, Altered Moods Recordings launches the first in a steady stream of releases for 2017 and beyond with its first double-pack since "Love...Lost and Found", the first vinyl record it released back in 2006. With "The Lodge", AMR has joined forces with techno and jakbeat wunderkind D'Marc Cantu, who has a long, storied history with labels such as M>O>S>, Creme Organization, and Nation, and with his mentor and friend Tadd Mullinix as their duo 2AMFM. On this double-12, he shows us and the world his more melodic, deeper side, while still maintaining a sense of urgency and a fingerhold on the jakbeat throughout. We have listened to this release for a long time and it never gets old to the ears. We are confident that this release will end up being a timeless classic in the coming years.

Earl has been with us since the beginning. The C in C.R.S.T. from some of our earliest releases to the spanking 'Goodfoot' EP as Chesus and more recently his twisted disco remix of Daneeka's 'What's it Gonna Be' with Seven Davis Jr.
As Earl Jeffers he's really found his sound and we are stoked to have him back on board with his best EP yet. These tunes have been flaming all year in the clubs. Proper essential stuff.

Has underground house really run out of ideas

The aesthetic is no doubt getting worn out: you can barely move for tounge-in-cheek DJ aliases, palm-tree emojis and VHS screen grabs of 90s A-listers.

Against that backdrop, Helter cuts through like a rough-edged asteroid.

"Polaris EP", The London producer's debut vinyl release after a few leaked tracks created a buss on SoundCloud, hits the reset button on the hackneyed discourse that surrounds decayed house music.

The four tracks on offer cascade between blasts of tectonic rhythm, colour and melody, and washed-out ambience, intertwining and soaking into each other.

The deck is still broken, but it punches in all the right places. A sun-warped, boards of Canada sequel pumped full of adrenaline and grit.

The soundtrack to a broken ecstasy, sure to leave half the kids in a trance and the other with shit dripping down their legs.

Helter is pushing the genre of misshapen house music into a new dimension - one with more energy, and through a truly shattered lens.
