No need to check Discogs for WPH 020, it's just not there... But we digress! WPH 021 hails the return of Spain's Nacho Marco, who was responsible for WPH 010 together with Raoul Lambert. For his WPH comeback our Valencia kid has teamed up with the vocal talents of Aqeel, bringing you the acidic soul masterpiece 'Open'. Think Deetron on a dark day!

On remix duty we find young WPH buck Kiani & His Legion who came up with two remix versions. His 'Basement Remix' will go well info any Levon Vincent set and his 'normal' version is vintage Kiani. That says it all really, vintage Kiani, after just 6 tracks officially released. Raw Belgian talent at its very best!

Ron Trent teams up with Manoo for the latest outing on his own Future Vision imprint.
'The Sound' is a deep, dub-informed, atmospheric house track with hearted melodies and a vocal sample woven over a driving, rolling groove. Absolute class throughout from one of Chicago's finest.

Cin Cin is pleased to present its 8th instalment and it's a down under double header!

First up is Melbourne's Statue who give us a pair of percussive workouts engineered for maximum hip wiggling.

Following his tribute of John Coltrane's Love Supreme track, French producer Guillaume Berroyer a.k.a Ark is back on his own imprint with two classy & minimal house cuts, serving up his typical deep and funky style. Blue Hawaii's Tenderness searches for the meaning of closeness in our highly-connected world. Central to the record is the contradictory power of technology: people are at once alienated and brought together by its use. With immediacy of communication we can feel close without ever having to be truly tender to each other.After taking a 4 year break from writing and producing with each other, Ra and Agor rekindled their creative fame in 2016, writing music about an unrequited relationship Ra was experiencing with someone mostly online, constantly battling these contradictory feelings of distance and closeness. As record fows from one song to the next with skits, phone calls, acoustic demos, real life samples and quiet left-turns, she discovers that happiness is derived not from others but from something immaterial within herself. She fnds validation without the need for the other—a valuable lesson whether in real or virtual reality.

During the mid-80s and early 90s Movin' Records defined the New Jersey sound. A skate-shop-turned-record-store run by the so-called fairy godmother of house' Abigail Adams, Movin's first output was 'I've Got The Music' by Boyd Jarvis in 1987, followed by music from game changers Blaze, Kerri Chandler, Tony Humphries and Smack, straight up Jersey jams' that producers are still attempting to replicate to this day. Still the Movin' Records catalogue throws up gems that sound super fresh along with plenty of lightbulb moments of musical discovery.

After becoming a surprise hit from the B-side of Kamar's 'In Every Way', Movin' Records presents this remix single to give dancefloors a serious shake-up. Kerri produces some heavyweight remixes of this single, along with regular collaborator Yahya McDougald. As with all of Kerri's early productions, this sits proud alongside his latest, more mature output thanks to his naturally instinctive style. The single features vocals from Calvin Reed Sr., Kerri Chandlers actual Grampa!

Les Cidres. The new sublabel of ANUS Records. We start fresh with our own 7' by Panda Lassow and Compliment aka Les Cidres. They put their strenghts together and combine their bass, electro, dub, house, synth and disco sound with a touch of bedroom and DIY attitude.

REPRESSED !! Australia is known for its Sydney Opera House, Great Barrier Reef, the vast desert wilderness and unique animal species including kangaroos and duck-billed platypuses; but is also known for its well-crafted music output and deep love for optimistic sensual tunes. This is the case here with the first release of a mysterious project called Ponzu Island, there is absolutely no info available on the artist, so let your ears judge without prejudice. His first effort comes in the form of a 3 track EP including "Super Koto", "Ponzu Beach" and "Ponzu Logic", they sound like if Morgan Geist and Todd Terje took some acid and locked themselves in a room with a sea view, a synth, and a computer. Welcome to Ponzu Island. To complete the EP the label counted with Andras Fox, another Aussie who has already gained much respect for his simply-perfect micro house productions (btw don't miss his live set if you ever have the chance). Andras revisits the track "Super Koto" in the form of an extended mix with a slower bpm and his magic touch here and there. On the flip side Apersonal's local producer Trujillo does his usual thing remixing "Ponzu Logic", closing the EP into a deep and darker territory. By now you will be in the middle in the desert asking yourself how you got there..

New Chicago Acid House from Mark Churcher, the creator of the 1990s label Emote (V-Neck & Send/Return) with a remix from the Gasman (Planet Mu)

This release is a collection of big names of the electronic music history, some of them are legends: Pete Tong & John Monkman lead the list of big artists in this EP, they'd produced The Bumps a few months ago and now we can see the remixes of that track.
For the remix duties, Suara is proud to have on board one of the biggest names of electronic music movement with more than 20 million albums sold, 8 songs in the UK Singles Chart, masterpieces like Play or 18... The name of the remixer is Moby, whom did a delicate and sophisticated deep house track for his debut on Suara. Coyu is in the package too with a dancefloor, melodic, powerful interpretation of the original and Julien Jeweil did a really cool revision of the track in a techno way.

Christian Löffler has already released two critically acclaimed albums, 'Forest' in 2012 and 'Young Alaska' in 2014'. Both of which received major recognition and support.

His next EP 'York', forthcoming on 2020Vision narrowly avoided disaster after the laptop containing the demos was lost. After much perseverance, copies of the tracks were found and the EP came together. Perhaps it was this fated start to 'York' that imbues it with such a euphoric and stunning poignancy. Either way, Löffler has proved himself to be a compelling producer and after years of creating and releasing music he has become recognised as one of the best in the business.

'York' complies with the consistency of his deep and emotive approach to production, makinghim synonymous with both a lightness of touch and a melancholia rarely heard in other producers.

While he manages to imbue all three tracks with a familiar rolling fluidity, cloaked in all-consuming, idiosyncratic soundscapes, the title-track emerges as the most club ready of Löfflers productions. Christian has an undeniable capacity to create these breath-taking orchestral compositions.Withthe exquisite quality of this release and an EP launch in London Hoxton on the 14th of March alongside the 2020Vision crew, 2015 is set to be an explosive year for Löffler.

1, 2, 3 (Feels Right) (April 2015 EP) re-treads the effortless machine funk they crafted so well on their past records, most notably their debut album, Graceless' Resident Advisor // Listening to their stunning debut you feel the formerly hard done by pair have very much had the last laugh' Hyponik // John Barera & Will Martin Proceed to the Root of their sound on their second album & strongest work to date. A tough collection of Techno & House styles collide with Soulful electronics and touches of Dub and Jungle for an album of finely crafted, sculptural, storytelling, and no-nonsense club music. The recording process for 'Proceed to the Root' started almost immediately after their first album 'Graceless' came out. That was when they wrote the track 'Golden Hour'. There was a lot of momentum after the release of the debut album and buoyed by it's reception, they knew they wanted to do another album together and started writing for the next one right away. Although they've released a couple EPs since the album, all of those records had been recorded before it came out. So 'Proceed to the Root' is really the beginning of the next chapter for them and their music. There was a lot of transition in their lives going on during the writing of the record. Martin moved to New York and got married, so they weren't just writing music casually after work together anymore, and they were never going to be roommates again. Each session was very deliberate, or was happening where they could fit it in. This included doing edits at Gatwick airport, writing synth pads on a night train to Germany and spending a blackout day in Berlin producing by candlelight. Each track on 'Proceed to the Root' was born under a different sign, this record was bottling moments across the course of many years.

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to the Shimmy Sham Sham sessions. When people talk about Summertime vibes it's most often associated with the obvious: good weather, sweet drinks, waterside locales, and a much-needed departure from the daily grinds of work, school, and off-season doldrums. One thing most tend to overlook however are the smells. It's the smell of the summer season that really infects the spirit; being attacked by the olfactory seducing aromas of suntan lotions, watermelon, Ck one summer spray overuse, piña colada mixes, BBQ grill emanations, and perhaps most importantly of all, sweat. Dripping, oozing, sticky buckets of lovely sweat everywhere. Whether that is happening poolside, in the bedroom, or, as the case clearly is with this ridiculous three-tracker of party bombs, on the dance floor. The whole wide world of Disc Jockeys now have access from everything to "Don't stop the music" a slick power wash of classic French disco, to a rollicking jazz piano-led jam by an operator hereby known as Professor Twirl-hair. In the heat of the night, let those sweaty numbers melt your worries. No top hat and gator shoes required - just shake that ass!

SOV is glad to welcome aboard the new family member for it's 12th cat. The Mole is a Canadian artist known for his music boutique interpreting elements of disco, jazz, hip hop and funk. Since this kind of game is also the core of our soul, we are happy to present 4 special tracks from him.

Following the 20th anniversary - Monika Werkstatt album which features collaborations from all of the current artists on Moabit and monika, Gudrun Gut's monika enterprise now takes the collaborative process a step further with a collection of remixes taken from the werkstatt album.

The opening track on the single is a truly Nordic co-production with Charlotte Bendiks from Tromsø, Norway, remixing Finnish artist based in Berlin Islaja. Islaja's tracks are ever shrouded in a bizarre sense of mystery and Bendiks remix of Sappho's Gifts accentuates the surreal essence of this piece.

Blindholes by Columbian-artist-in-Berlin Lucrecia Dalt was the first track from the Monika Werkstatt album to be released as a preview and Romanian producer and DJ Borusiade harnesses its groove turning it into a hypnotic industrial stomper.

The B-side starts with LA producer Nite Jewel's utterly funky take on Barbara Morgenstern's song Grow. Suitably for Morgenstern, Nite Jewel turns this tune into next level pop including disco cowbells and the grooviest of synth licks. A feelgood track if ever there was one - ideal for house parties, or just dancing round the house on your own!

London-born, Berlin-based artist Perera Elsewhere (signed to FoF music in Los Angeles) a.k.a Sasha Perera (ex-Jahcoozi/ Bpitch Ctrl/ Kitty Yo) develops Love Parade founder Danielle de Picciotto's Desert Fruit into a doom-drenched piece of beat poetry layered with rich synth textures, emotionality and Morricone-esque melodics.

Closing the 12' is another Los Angeles producer, Daedelus (Brainfeeder/ Anticon), who's take on Sonae's Between Two Worlds is a luscious retro-futurist synth escapade traversing the fields of wonky, dreamwave and chill-out.

The Berlin-Los Angeles connection is a much loved theme for the monika label. This 12' draws on that theme by recruiting Djs and producers based in both cities to remix tracks from - Monika Werkstatt . In so doing it takes the collaborations started on Werkstatt to the next level. It's a truly international affair, bringing yet more diversity to already very diverse source material. (Dirk Markham)

4 super deep cuts for Dogmatik, from Samu.l which further cement his reputation as an underground heavyweight. King of Snakeskin Boots is sinewy, muscular, bubbling away, under syncopated drums. Title track, New Day is classic Samu.l with heightened tension and driving kicks. Press Select drifts along, offering playful melodies and dreamy bass, whilst The Valley Dub takes us deeper again, riding on shuffling hats, atop a trademark hypnotic Samu.l groove.

London's DMK label provides a follow up to it's debut release from Kuba Sojka with another strong release from Stojche who delivers another quality EP of underground house/techno tracks on the Square Chapter EP.

There's a certain ancient mystery to the melodies and feeling of Purple Hills. Gentle, secret, ethereal mood's that float invisibly in the spaces it's played in. Echoes of a familiar dream reverberate behind closed eyes that always remain slightly out of your grasp. Chriss Vogt's trip takes you away to that place. A place though that only he knew existed.. until now.
Yokoo continues to create his own unique vibe. He expressed his love for the track when All Day I Dream visited Morocco. With it's groovier approach, it slowly creeps into the consciousness. . A crisp drum groove and just a hint at the original's dominant melodies create a understated new version slightly left of centre.
Chriss teams up with Patrick Jeremic for Pour Éternel'. It's always summer somewhere and it's dreamy essence charms the listener here. Classy house music to take us through winter in the Northern hemisphere.

This 2-Tracker by one of Munich's finest electronic music producer talents Lukas Bohlender is truly mind blowing. Two powerful and emotive deep house joints, padded with layers of elegant synths and crafty percussions. State of the art!

Arthur Miles is next up on Seb Wildblood's new imprint 'All My Thoughts' with 4 cuts of deep electronica.

All pieces are conceived and recorded between the end of 2015 and 2016 between Amsterdam and Tuscany.
The path starts with Cristallo di Bismuto which is a low-tempo jam marked by dusty 80's drums and deep pads that transport you straight away in an underground nocturnal urban sci-fi scenario. I Wish You Could Shelter Me has within a powerful rolling bass part and a solid drum-machine pattern, Dx7's style keys with some romantic melancholic colors. Oosterpark Laguna is an exotic house groove with a lush pad and a sweet saxophone solo perfect for a sunny warm day. Mare Aperto is a nostalgic house tune inspired by the early Chicago's piano house and the italian golden era of clubbing of the end of 80s early 90s. The release includes a label's sticker inside and a stamp on the inner sleeve.

2 Years ago, we celebrated our 10 years with 5 anniversary EPs entitled 10 by Ten, where we asked 10 of our favorite artists to write an exclusive track for the occasion. Two of the stand out tracks were Martin Iveson - aka Atjazz - Leave Me Here as well as Art Of Tones, Koniokola, which we thought deserved a second life. Freerange and Delusions of Grandeur boss, Jimpster, blesses us with his deep yet driving rendition of Leave Me Here, while Fred Everything chooses to update Koniokola with a more dance floor approach and a strip down Dub. We also included the Original of Leave Me Here which was never available on Vinyl.

Qaadir Ali King's 4 track debut on Vanity Press Records. Though his name may be new to most, his musical roots run deep in Detroit - his father played drums on 'Saturday Night Special' by the Lyman Woodward Organization and DJed on WDET. After an under the radar 2014 track on a Don't Be Afraid sampler, Ali returns from a 3 year absence with a full EP of sounds and vibrations that cut across genre.

Editions Haighton returns with a homage to Sasha & Digweed's Renaissance.
