London-based DJ HAAi has released her latest single, 'Be Good' on her own label, Coconut Beats. Best known for her Saturday night residency at London club Phonox, HAAi has gained widespread recognition thanks to her vibrant sets and eclectic mixes.
'Be Good' echoes HAAi's former work as lead singer and guitarist of Australian psych-rock band The Dark Bells; the new song features all her own vocals, making the track an entirely organic and self-produced HAAi release.
HAAi's wistful vocals are contrasted against driving drums, rattling percussion and dark synth chords for a stirring yet understated anthem that reflects HAAi's tastes for the ' bassy, textured and percussive'. An accomplished production, this is still only HAAi's second release under her electronic moniker following on from her 2 track 'DaDaDa' EP.
The release comes in the midst of HAAi's busiest summer yet as a DJ. It comes shortly after her much-anticipated headline back to back set at Sunfall Festival with The Black Madonna, an appearance at Pikes Ibiza alongside Midland and ahead of her gig at the tastemaking Oasis Festival in Morocco. This is all on top of her residency at Phonox, where she has become not only a resident but a curator of her own forward-thinking Coconut Beats nights, where friends including Daniel Avery, Chaos in the CBD, Moscoman and Auntie Flo have joined her at the decks. 'I just want to keep people excited and dancing,' she says. It's a simple and honest mission, but one that HAAi completes effortlessly each and every time.

Farley "Jackmaster" Keith's x-rated Jackmaster Dick alias is in effect right here with the "Sensuous Woman Goes Disco", essentially a cut-up of Jesse Saunders' "Funk U Up" and the comedian Rudy Ray Moore's "The Sensuous Black Woman Meets The Sensuous Black Man" this record takes no prisoners!

A solid proto-Ghetto House classic it is not for the faint hearted or the easily offended! Take heed though, it WILL make you dance!

Next up on Moss Co. is a 3 tracker from long-time Moscow Records artists Dan Farserelli, remixed by the supremely talented Tom Ellis.The record opens with Lemons and Limes, a catchy roller that bumps and grinds its way into the soul, each revolution of the bassline giving the body a sense of fulfilment, while jazzy musical elements entertain the mind.
On the flip That Time is a classic piece of micro house perfect for the early hours. A sparse, but groovy bassline is complemented by catchy hooks, percussion and a creative arrangement.
The Tom Ellis remix on the B2 completes the record with a particularly trippy, but incredibly catchy, afterhours interpretation.

Letherette step back up with a new release on their own imprint Wulf records with EP4. Letherette has released music on labels Ho-Tep and more recently Ninja Tune, but after starting their own label Wulf at the end of last year have already released EP's 1,2,3, Brown lounge Vol 3 and now EP4.

Letherettes signature chops can be heard throughout EP4 from the disco cuts of Flowatch to the piano slices of Feel It. All mastered to cassette this EP centres around the dance floor but stays true to Letherettes sound and melodies.

Fear of Flying kick off the new year with the next instalment in their vinyl only series, enlisting the talents of Matthew Burton & Kate Rathod. 'Cyberg' has an atmosphere so thick you can cut it with a knife, a vocoded vocal and haunting pads imbuing the track with a distinct 4am feel. 'Mr Magpie' ups the ante slightly with swung percussion and fx. The lofty kick drum and twinkling synths of '8 Minute Abs' and the subtle deep houser 'Hammer Top Logo' feature on the B side. Part 1 of 2.

After a busy eighteen months promoting his debut album, Essex-hailer Max Chapman brings us his La Fiesta EP on Hot Creations. The title track features alongside remixes by the versatile Luca Cazal and house veteran Todd Terry.

With Latin vibes from the outset, Max has encompassed the essence of The White Isle. La Fiesta is a migration of percussion, chanting and melodic vocals and flirtatious basslines. Luca Cazal has turned up the kick and brings an old school vibe with his remix. Todd Terry's energetic arrangement of snares and bongos compliments the provencal vocal perfectly.

Since his arrival on the scene six years ago, Max Chapman has released on an abundance of labels including VIVa, Toolroom and last years Body Jack on Elrow, that achieved number one status across all genres on Beatport. Established in 2012, his imprint Resonance Records provides a platform for the freshest talent in underground tech-house. Max's album Catch Me If You Can, released last year, received a notable 9/10 in both Mixmag and DJ Mag.

Luca Cazal has been steadily rising up the ranks since his debut release on Crosstown Rebels in 2013. Constantly refining his production skills, Luca transmits positive emotions with every track he releases. After three decades on the scene, Grammy-nominated Legend Todd Terry has continued to release superior productions and entertain crowds worldwide.

After lots of plotting and lurking Space Ritual has mutated into a record label. SR001 is ODDNIPP with their mini album 'SECRET NIPPERS' Andrew Cole (Luv*Jam) and Ed Cox (In Fields) = ODDNIPP and they have weaved together six premium wigglers.

Anyone familiar with the music of Sinisa Tamamovic knows the man is an expert in techno floor fillers....The tracks here are no exception; Valentina and Confused reside in the world of bold, unrelenting grooves constructed with little more than bass and drums: and they get the job done. The bass lines are distinctly Sinisa; simple, catchy, and mixed exquisitely, they take on a whole new attitude when played on club systems.
Valentina starts things strong, its driving rhythm gains energy as atmospheres develop and an rworldly vocal enters, a Latin American street rhyme that gives the track some international flare. Confused is more raw, employing rough drums and ethereal sound effects. Either one will do the trick for peak hours and late nights.

FUSE London's sister label, Infuse, welcomes Spanish producer Sonodab into the fold. Set for release on X, Infuse 006 consists of three wickedly hypnotic house mutations from the Barcelona based producer which perfectly fit with Infuse's famed sound.
'Noctum' kicks off the EP in fine style with rolling percussion, a distant twinkling melody and elastic bass resulting in a simple yet brilliant eyes-down dance floor tool. 'Rainy Day' continues in a similar vein, with incessant hi-hats, panning pads and gorgeous thick bass, it is another intricately produced track with a smoky aesthetic. 'Escape' rounds off the EP and is the warmest track on offer with rich synths and full melodies shimmering over a rhythmic core.
On his debut, Sonodab has delivered a worthy addition to the Infuse series. The 'Escape EP' is a distinctive package packed full of crisp percussion and hypnotic sounds, another one for the heads.

Tin Man a.k.a. Johannes Auvinen is of Finnish descent, having lived all his life in Los Angeles. Tin Man says his tracks relate to the history and mood of acid house. Tin Man updates the sound of 80s Chicago acid sound to the 21st century. Maybe one can find in Tin Man's sound some comparisons to such as Laurent Garnier's and Ludovic Navarre's acid projects: Choice, Shazz, Deepside. Tin Man's "Love Sex Acid" 12" (life12in-17) comes up with three 303 excursions, 'Falling Acid' includes a gloomy Satie-esque intro, the sound then growing into clattering snares and a slowly but steadily increasing 303 pulse melody and some metallic sounds until slowly fading away. 'Let's Do It Acid' features 303 bass writhing hypnotically like a snake to some click-clack snare sounds and a haunting whisper sample. 'Love And Sex Acid' is acid sound in deep house mode with some tasty electronic piano-like licks to boot.

Following up where Pocket Money began, adding 4 more talented artist's to the PM Hustler's family.

This time with part 2 bringing a slightly different sound the previous instalment welcoming talents James Johnston, Jemaho, Robert Reinartz and the new but very talented Soul Habitat which will be his debut release.


That rounds up 8 artists to complete for now Pocket Money's Hustlers EP's before moving forward next time on to some solo EP's forthcoming. All the support has been very much appreciated so thank you to all involved and following the label.....

Hamburg's Achim Maerz arrives on DBA with an expansive twelve track package. Split across a 12" ep and a cassette, 'Experiments' is a collection of live, improvised house jams recorded in the summer of 2015 in the artist's home studio. The title refers to the fast and rough recording of the material, with the aim of catching a mood before process and self-awareness take over. Fans of Maerz' previous releases on the essential Wake Up! label amongst others will immediately recognise his trademark, ethereal house sound.

The 12" is available from the usual retailers, whilst the limited edition cassette is available from select stores and the DBA bandamp. The tracks on the cassette can also be downloaded for free from the DBA bandcamp, offering listeners a range of formats to combine both elements and complete the package.

Felix Da Housecat's esteemed label Founders Of Filth are back with their second release. The label has received an accolade of praise from the industry since their launch was announced on Resident Advisor back in May. Returning with the Aphrohead alias, Founders of Filth Volume Two is bursting with enlightening verses and impeccable instrumentation.
The Divine opens the EP with a haunting synthesis and enthralling lyrics. Aphrohead leads you down a path of eclectic percussion and that all important kick throughout. "In the animist framework of Australian Aboriginal mythology, Dreamtime is a sacred era in which ancestral totemic spirit beings created the world." Francis Inferno Orchestra is Griffin James, a young and talented DJ and music producer from Melbourne. He released various 12"s on labels like Let's Play House, Wolf Music and FINA to name just a few. We believe that he could become a major player of this scene as his musical skillz and his sounds impressed the people at Zurich's Drumpoet Community imprint.

On this 12" he shows us two different sides of his output. The soulful "Amber Express" could be an hommage to Moodymann's excellent work, similar to "You're The One" whereas "Dreamtime" and "Dusty Echoes" refer more to the Dub and Techno influenced corner of dance music. We were simply overwhelmed by this tracks and the reactions we had, playing them out was great. Anyway, listen and decide yourself, we hope you enjoy it too.

Another amazing exercise by Thee J Johanz! In R U There In R U There he's exploring the capabilities of the Russian/DDR Vermona synth for a massive brutal lead on a rocking 808 beat, with driving italoesque arpeggio's from the Jupiter 6. Having it's special moment in an unanswered synthesized ring tone, enhancing the haunting suspense. In K Clap West he lets the Moog modular sing like Kanye West, supported by the ancient Roland CR 8000 drummachine. Sleazy analogue goodness, slapping asses with the nasty clap. Sex with machines. More Cowbell! is just what the title promises. An orgy of live tuned cowbells, recorded in one take with his beloved modded CR 8000, it's a perfect atonal mixtool to add some uplifting madness and excitement. What do we know nuffin...

Play It Say It welcome Jasper James, one of the hottest artists of the day, for their next EP, calling upon Rob Mello to serve up some of his legendary No Ears remixes to seal the deal on this fine package.

Glaswegian DJ/producer Jasper James has been on the scene for a number of years now. He has released on labels like Leftroom and Optimo Trax with his well-informed house sound joins the dots between the past, present and future, the original he offers here is another essential offering from the in-demand star.

The brilliant, instantly party-starting 'Dirty Wrong' is a dirty disco-house tune with a tightly coiled bass riff that rolls on and on. The percussion is loose and playful and more trilling guitar riffs all help colour the groove as it builds and builds. After a steamy, drawn out and intense opening crescendo the thing finally drops and will send crowds wild with its firing vocals, explosive synths and authentic old school feel.

Rob Mello has put out his iconic mixes and originals mainly on labels like Classic, and years later they still sound as good as the day they were released. First up here, his fine No Ears remix is a wild style jam with flailing hits and funky synths all underpinned by big rubbery drums. It's more direct than the original but is just as heart warming and human in its party vibe. A clever use of filters cuts out then drops in various elements for even more liveliness on the 'floor.

His equally effective No Ears Dub is more deep and stripped back, with cosmic keys and well-crafted bass swagger all making this one ripe for intimate dancefloors. Some classic vocal samples only stoke the thing further, and as with all Mello mixes, this one is another classic.There is a timeless nature to this package that is sure to make it one of the biggest releases of not just this summer, but many summers to come.

We are serious about our music here at Future Reactions. You can tell that from our first vinyl release, the Depth Sifters EP. Featuring cult producer Rick Wade, Detroit veteran Norm Talley, up-and-coming newcomer Cris J and the talent that is Satore, we think it is quite an introduction. It is Cris J, however, who has the honour of leading the way with Around Philly, a sumptuously soulful slab of deepness steeped in the traditions of house music, just the way we like it. Remember the name. Wade, by contrast, has long since made his name on the back of an endless list of must-have releases for the likes of Track Mode, Moods & Grooves and his own imprint Harmonie Park. He's in fine fettle here too with Clizias Theme, a cut imbued with the kind of genuine emotional content and quality we have come to expect from the man. Norm Talley's brand of beatdown and house has long been a favourite with collectors and connoisseurs alike. His handsome contribution here, Str8 Housin, is exactly that and some, owing much to the musical heritage of his home city. Young Spanish artist Satore, meanwhile, completes the line-up and continues to impress yet again with the infectious and supremely funky Moodment (Upstreet Mix).

As we welcome another talented artist to our family we asked Viken about the first part of a two part release and he told us...
"it's really important to understand that this EP is a series of pictures telling a story. Combining the names of all the tracks one gets this interesting and dreamy sentence,'On A Blue Road - A White Shadow - Feels The Winter'.To translate these pictures into music, I needed a very particular sound. Since I am a huge fan of Jazz music I took one of my favorite records, used a lot of samples and reworked them in my own way. From the technical aspect, I decided to reconnect with my first love: analog machines. I love working with sound textures. I stayed away from my laptop and all my VST/Plugins as I felt the need to compose these tracks in an unusual way: I wanted the sound to be really pure. That's the reason why this process was so essential for me. For me, this EP is the first one to sound like this".
This is the first of two releases from a deeply talented soul. A patient collage of house, jazz, acid squiggles and deep emotion. Played and loved all summer long by Lee Burridge at All Day I Dream, these tracks will stay with you through winter and into next summer.
