We started a deep search of minuscule great beauty. We started the future.

UMM have returned in fighting form after a 10 year hiatus. This influential imprint, also known as Underground Music Movement are the ambassadors to organic Italian house.

Originating in Naples in 1991, they reigned king of the imprints, taking pride in discovering some of the freshest talent Italy had to offer and forming unparalleled synergy with the likes of Visnadi and Fathers of Sound to name just two. Now under the the Media Records umbrella, they continue their tradition of developing raw talent and bringing it to the forefront of the dance music industry.

After receiving positive acclaim for their initial relaunch EP from Ten Words, they are back in the game and raring to go with their second EP "Snow in the Desert", brought to you by legendary Italian producer, Joy Kitikonti.

The Tuscan born polyhedric artist is a veteran of the scene, with a multitude of achievements under his belt spanning productions and remixes, with many of these seeing him top the European dance charts.

'Music is the beginning of life, playing for me is a necessity" says the holistic producer whose Italian roots and strong ethos make him the perfect candidate for UMM's second release.

Joy offers us three original cuts alongside two remixes courtesy of UMM's own Ten Words and exciting new talent Aurel Asllanaj.

Straight out of the gate is Joy's original title track where he fuses his experience within both house and progressive music. The result is a controlled, fine tuned sound with punchy rhythms and theatrical elements which manifest themselves in melodic phrasing.

These two concepts take turns in focus, which presents the auditor with a sense of anticipation, a true reflection of UMM's established sound.

For the second cut Joy's title track is re-worked by both 10WS and the recently unearthed Aurel, whose modern and fresh approach takes it to new progressive heights. "Nightlife", exposes a more experimental side to Joy's musical expression, toying with sound and rhythm to create a dynamic cut which boasts the versatility of both artist and imprint.

In fourth position is another original in the shape of "Sharing Melodies", an emotional and brooding reflection of it's title, which builds beautifully to create contrast and diversity within the EP.

Finally we are treated to a "Sharing Melodies" remix by 10WS (digital only), a haunting and zealous approach to its elusive counterpart with a dense bassline, aloof leads and biting kicks that linger eerily.

This melting pot of brooding tones celebrates the darker influencers in House and Techno.

UMM have returned in full force with another epic EP and are snowballing their way back to the focal point of the industry.

Their strong ethos and ear for talent will ensure they remain the essential pacesetters for progressive electronic house music

Every so often a piece of music is created that not only speaks to your soul with its lyrics but also moves your body with its rhythm.... Louie Vega Starring Ananè Vega "HEAVEN KNOWS" with Remixes by Josh Milan and Louie is exactly that piece of music. Vega continues to apply the cardinal elements necessary for truly timeless music that offers something for everyone rightfully earning him the title as one of THE KINGS OF HOUSE MUSIC.
The powerful yet intimate voice of Ananè Vega, the perfectly arranged beats and the musicianship of Josh Milan (on the Honeycomb mix) as well as Hajime Yoshisawa (on wurlitzer) & Axel Tosca (keyboards on the Louie Vega Mix), along with beautifully written lyrics by Milan are the positively uplifting elements within "HEAVEN KNOWS" that make this composition feel larger than life. Ananè Vega's sultry voice floats over each and every melodic note with lyrics that inspire strength and a deeper meaning of love that transcends time and space.
HEAVEN KNOWS offers warmth for your soul and gives life on and off the dance floor. "I can dance on diamonds everyday... I choose to love with the words I say.... I'm the calm within your fears... LOVE is my voice softly in your ears..... Only Heaven Knows........" We invite you to close your eyes and allow the raw emotions coming through in Ananè Vega's smooth & flawless delivery to wash over you as HEAVEN KNOWS wraps itself around your entire being with the truest sentiment of love.
Josh Milan and Louie Vega each explore the intense strength of Ananè Vega's multifaceted range, as well filling the production with the heart & melody in their remixes. Josh Milan being the man who can make instruments bend to his will presents a mix that enhances each and every heavenly note Ananè sings. Organ solos also included in the Honeycomb mix, and a driving bassline that can rock a dance floor into a frenzy of motion. Louie's mix offers that percussion drive compounded with a groovy baseline (courtesy of Gene Perez), and jazz chords which are played by Axel Tosca making Heaven Knows seriously exceptional.
The unreleased solo mix is a version over 8 minutes, collaborator Hajime Yoshisawa (Kyoto Jazz Massive piano player) takes the seat and tells a wonderful story with the original Wurlitzer, recorded in Tokyo during the Red Bull Music Academy courtesy of Carl Craig while Louie was on tour in Asia.
Louie Vega Starring Ananè Vega "HEAVEN KNOWS" with Remixes by Josh Milan and Louie Vega is the perfect expression of LOVE through the music that gives us strength and inspiration..... This is HOUSE MUSIC at its finest.

We were very happy to be asked by Connaisseur
Recordings if they could put out another album with our
music! Now it's all come together and they've asked us to
do our own press release for it and quite like the album,
we want to do it in our own way, personal and from the
heart. It's been a few years since our last Connaisseur album, and
a lot has happened since. We've built a new studio,
matured musically, acquired new gear, sold old gear, done a
lot of gigs, lost faith in music and regained it again.
The process of making The Loneliest Man In Space (this
album) was a genuinely pleasant experience, as we never
really set out to make an album at all. We didn't
conceptualize or have any grandiose plans, we simply
enjoyed ourselves in the studio.
Inspiration was running high, so we focused on making a lot
of music uninterrupted, rather than signing tracks, which
left us with quite a bulk of unsigned material. The idea to
release these tracks as an album came from our friend
Alex, at Connaisseur. We instantly jumped on the idea,
listened through the material, taking some tracks out and
composing a few new ones, to make it sit more together as
a whole. We tried to come up with a title that would ft
the feeling of the sum of tracks and settled on The
Loneliest Man In Space. As the album, to our ears, sounds a
little melancholic and a little spacey.
We sincerely hope that you enjoy the album either as a
listening experience, a dance experience or something in
between!

Thank you, and much love!

This June Session Victim return to Delusions Of Grandeur imprint with their third studio album.Listen To Your Heartis the result of a year of cross-continental scripting, started in their Hamburg studio and wrapped up stateside in San Francisco's Room G Studios where the duo had worked on their 2014 LPSee You When You Get There. Here we present the first of three LP samplers containing four tracks each, cut nice and loud for the vinyl crew. Bring It Back gets things rolling with Session Victim's trademark live drum breaks, looped up pads and hooky vocal samples. Only good vibes here, with uplifting keys bringing a warm and soulful edge whilst shimmering Juno notes add a floaty element to get lost in. Next up we have If We Can Make It Here, the title being something of an in-joke with the boys when they find themselves in the more remote or far-flung corners of the world performing their music to an appreciating crowd. The track is based around a simple yet beautiful 4-bar chord progression repeating throughout and shows SVM in a playful and jazzy mood, managing to include soloing flute and marching snare drum rhythms without as much of a flinch!Moons And Flowers is up next, another sublime slice of hazy house music with a wonderful organic and live sound palette. Echoing Rhodes licks join dubby synth FX, adding waves of colour whilst the gentle vocal provides the icing on the space-cake. Lastly we have The Hatch, which winds things down somewhat for a lovely, somewhat stoned interlude track which is over all too soon. An impeccable demonstration of retro-inspired yet forward thinking house,Listen To Your Heartsees Session Victim at the top of their game.

the new release by the snork sublabel is here !!! great minimal tech house tracks !!!

the kind of track you keep preciously for the peak time when you need a jumpin' bassline...
and finaly with "Groovy Vapes", this is a pure soul cut that ends the trip.

Illusion Recordings off shoot label INNERCIRCLE is back for its fourth edition with French house wizard Andrade stepping up for his debut EP with the Illusion crew. Andrade featured a remix on INC003 on James Barnsley's huge 'Spellbinder EP' and after delivering the goods Illusion were keen for him to flex his musical muscles across a full EP.
Andrade has been on a rich vein of form recently releasing on Delano Smiths Mixmode label, One Records and Dessous to widespread acclaim, cementing his standing as one of the most talented house producers around.
The EP opens with 'Audio Montage' which takes the listener on a summer trip using lush pads and dreamy hooks to create a laid back montage of sounds which soothes the soul and takes your head to sunnier climes.
The track gets the full rework treatment from Nail who strips back the groove and toughens up the beats to create a complimentary heads down vibe to the original, in that indisputable Nail style.
The B-side kicks off with 'Promise' which is classic Andrade, interweaving dreamy hypnotic vocals and keys around loose, floaty beats over an insatiable groove delivering on his 'Promise' like only he can.
They say good things come to those who wait, well in this case its 'Bad Things' as Andrade finishes his EP with another gem.
This time the groove is slung low and the claps, snares and hats are primed for the peak time and late hours when you feel like bat things are going to happen, concluding a classy house EP of the highest quality and showing why Andrade is a true house sorcerer of real worth.

The third release on Purple Velvet's Secret Reels imprint sees UK house maestro Chocky craft 3 superb tracks on a slice of pure white vinyl. The moniker derives from the John Wyndham novel of the same name. With previous releases on Big Bait, Flumo, Artful Division and City Fly, Chocky has crafted a deep, grooving and sumptuous sound all of his own.
The lead track 'Secret Voyagers' sounds like it was made in the basement of a Parisian Jazz Café and will have your head nodding and feet shuffling after the first few bars. 'Know' has a bassline and groove that will make your chest pop and stick a massive grin on your face. The title says it all, Chocky knows that this is a straight up groover!
Fresh from his house chart topping EP on Apersonal Music, Paxton Fettel turns in a remix of 'Secret Voyagers' that is even jazzier. With dusty Rhodes chords and piano licks, Paxton really shows off his musicianship that followers of his home label Greta Cottage Workshop will no doubt be familiar with.
Lastly but by no means least comes 'Lick It', a track full of jazz samples and hits that rumbles on relentlessly with a groove that moves!

The label focus on a specific musical need and want to offer a
contemporary garage house, raw and essential interpretation of some rare groove hits and other disco classics.

Argentina's Guti and Australia's Morgan join forces once again, this time on the Martinez Brothers label Cuttin' Headz with a five track EP entitled 'This Must Be The Future', including Mark Broom, Dan Ghenacia and Chris Carrier remixes.
Established in 2014, the Martinez Brothers Cuttin' Headz imprint has been going from strength to strength, with a busy release schedule littered with influential artists from across the house and techno scene including Jerome Sydenham and Steve Rachmad. 2017 sees the label take on powerhouse collaborators Guti and Morgan for a new collaborative EP, Guti's fusion of influences shine through in his productions which have gained him support from the likes of Loco Dice, Luciano Ricardo Villalobos and Carl Cox, whilst Morgan has been gradually honing her raw stripped back sound in the studio and helping to run Guti's Rompecorazones label.
'This Must Be The Future' opens up the EP with a subtle yet effective groove that meanders in time with a set of hypnotic effects and vocal samples with twisted acid bleeps. Next up, the Dan Ghenacia and Chris Carrier Edit rolls in with a headier groove laced with booming kicks and scuttling hats, delving into the depths with panning bleeps and dissipating synth noises.
Guti's solo production 'Her House' goes in with a deep and Latin-tinged rhythm, slowly building euphoric samples and a vacillating sub before the Mark Broom remix takes a different route with a peak time twisted techno feel, laced with intoxicating chords and infectious snare fills. Lastly, closing the package is Guti's digital only release 'Airplane Jam', in which an intoxicating 303 arpeggio loops alongside jittery and crafty percussion in typical Guti minimal aesthetic.

Kitjen now is not only a basement party in the German south, but also a newly-founded, mom & pop-store'ish record label for contemp(t)orary dance music. The bottle of champagne for its maiden trip comes by courtesy of Phillip and Jacob Lauer aka Hotel Lauer in the form of their "The Lauhman Brothers" 12" - and it features two killer cuts! "Agass" is, first and foremost, an anthem (!) and some serious synth business that has you crying at the discoteque, while "Stollice" is some proper Italo-jackin-silliness for the freaks! The official dresscode for this release is 'long distance flight' and it's only the first opportunity for Kitjen to show that high quality output and poor project management are a match made in heaven! If you can't stand the heat...

IDJUT BOYS - U-STAR EP (TUFF CITY KIDS MIXES)
U-Star Records

U-Star Records, the legendary label founded by the Idjut Boys way back in 1993, is making a surprise return to record stores. To mark the occasion, Conrad McDonnell and Dan Tyler have recruited Tuff City Kids - AKA Running Back boss Gerd Janson and regular studio buddy Phillip Lauer - to provide fresh interpretations of a trio of label classics.

First time round, U-Star Records played a vital role in the Idjut Boys' production career. Over the course of a decade, the label not only provided an outlet for their dub-flecked house and disco productions, but also those by close friends and occasional studio partners Quakerman and Laj (AKA Raj Gupta, now better known as Ray Mang). The label fell silent in the early noughties after becoming a firm favourite with DJs, and has been all but dormant since.

Tuff City Kids, a duo famed for their retro-futurist blends of classic house sounds, Balearic attitude and punchy drum machine rhythms, have long been fans of the Idjuts U-Star output. Naturally, they jumped at the opportunity to put their spin on classic tracks from the label's archive. Predictably, they've delivered a range of reworks that combine the best elements of their work with the Idjut Boys acclaimed original versions.

On the A-side you'll find their revisions of in-demand 1994 workout Phantom Slasher'. Their fine House Remix wraps McDonnell and Tyler's original stabs and analogue bassline in sweaty new drum machine hits, fittingly doused in just the right amount of delay and reverb. By the time the revision reaches its' sweaty conclusion - via some rave-inspired new elements and oodles of additional Latin style percussion - we guarantee that you'll be dancing like a free party survivor after an all-night session in Sherwood Forest. It wouldn't be a U-Star release with a fearsome, DJ-friendly drum track, and the German duo's Tribales Bonus provides an appropriately percussive workout.

On the flip, the duo takes a different approach, delivering an Afro Cosmic Remix of Jesta Twakting Whok Tish' that combines the baggy, saucer-eyed flutter of vintage Italian dream house with the dubby bass and echo-heavy drums that have long been a hallmark of Idjut Boys productions. It's warm, mesmerising, tactile and loved up.

In contrast, the duo's rework of Jazz Fook' - originally a sleazy chunk of dubbed-out, sax-laden deep house perfection - looks to the worlds of electro and freestyle for inspiration. Handpicked elements from the Idjuts original - the famously chunky, acid-inspired synth bassline and muscular, New York style stabs - dance around a thrillingly punchy beatbox rhythm. Throw down a square of lino and get to work.

[L] CD 12 | Pet Shop Boys - Burn (Baba Stiltz Remix)

It is an honor for 7777 to present its 13th release featuring DMX Krew and Yuri Suzuki. Side A brings you straight house attitude. B side strips it down and adds the acid. These songs are perfect for your record bag.

The colors are stunning. In a single view, I see looking out at the edge of the earth, all the colors of the prism. Red at the horizon, blends to orange and yellow, followed by a thin white line, then light blue, gradually turning to dark blue, then black as the vastness of space engulfs the surroundings. As I looked upon our home rock, I saw many natural features. I witnessed a large river meandering slowly along for miles, passing from one country to another without stopping or hesitation. I also saw huge forests, extending along & across several borders as if these divides didn't exist. I watched the extent of one ocean touch the shores of separate continents; then suddenly, a profound thought came over me as I looked down on all this....
