Following our last VA release label heads Dudley Strangeways & Michael McLardy return with a full 4 track EP. Spanning from the dubby realms of 'Spycatcher' through to the club ready 'Tumult' this record encapsulates the current sound of Leftback Records whilst providing a cross section of tracks to suit various time slots.

Adis Hotic, better known to the Underground Electronic Music world as Duky, has been in the forefront of cutting edge, timeless, innovative, daring productions, and this release appropriately entitled It's Getting Real' is no different.

It's no secret that Duky draws inspiration from other popular genres and effectively fuses them seamlessly into his music, resulting in something that can can best be described as deep, groovy, Minimal/House with a chunky Hip-Hop twist.

Starting on the A-side, this release begins a journey into human emotion and psyche, a journey that starts exploring a feeling of Reflection and Nostalgia with the originals It's Getting Real' & Endless Thoughts', Both showcasing a mesmeric melodic arrangement, which layers eclectic pads in perfect harmony with the groove structure of each of the original printed on this side. Add the use of a sultry vocal sample as showcased in It's Getting Real', the use of some exquisite organic Jazz instrumentation in Endless Thoughts' and that ever effective deep thick syncopated bass line, further contributing to the Nostalgic vibe....

On the flip side, Duky continues this journey into the exploration of the feelings of realization, acceptance & joy with the originals 4 Da Soul' & From The Beginning'. Both continue to showcase a flawlessly executed fusion of organic elements of Motown, Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop in such ways resulting in two deep, chunky and groovy productions. A sense of joy and acceptance is explored in 4 Da Soul', when the sultry Motown vocals and a chunky 'four to the floor' beat hits syncopated ever so delicately with a warm round pluck bass line driving the composition through from start to finish, while sense of realization and acceptance, gets conveyed and further explored with From The Beginning', a smooth Hip-Hop instrumental, bringing this journey a befitting culmination.

Shooting Star is a disillusioned, lucid and elegant reverie, an anthem to fragile and passionate love. Andre Crom pushes the limits of the DanceFloor with a captivating Remix which is in constant tension thanks to a full and magical baseline. The Djs will love this Peak Time oriented track, the vocal atmospheres keeping the poetic spirit of the original track without reducing the music energy.

It comes hard to say something about Spain's favourite duo Kyodai, the brothers have an impressive history of talent and timeless anthems, all impregned with their trademark finesse and their love for the perfectly crafted analog sounds. Paving their way to stardom with releases in Freerange, Local Talk and Exploited, they now deliver a pair of inspired dancefloor weapons filled with their flavor.

Marea EP

"Marea" is spanish for "tide", and as the oceans dance to the compass of our moon's gravity, their interpretation does the same with strong swaying dark synths creating a deep and hypnotizing climate perfect for the late night.

"Palma" goes even deeper as melancholic chords take on the scene building a rich melodic journey for the mind and soul. Arpeggios, a rich amount of analog sounds and a driving bassline play with the mind and soul.

QUIET DAZE is the softest cut, synth washes and dubbed out voices suspended over an all-enveloping bass pulse.

Choppy electro beats form the backbone for MOST U P as metallic notes and percussive hits spin off into the stereo field.

Beatdown is the name of the game on the flip, as PLUS and VIOLENT/MIND GAMES both ride a 4/4 thud under trip-inducing hats and dubby textures. Aleks' music is mirrored in detail by the beautiful sleeve art - this EP is the full package.

The 2nd single release of Alex Bank's debut album - Illuminate', like its predecessor features the inimitable Elizabeth Bernholz. - A matter of time' is an electronic dancefloor ballad. Shuffled kick drums and soft arpeggios make for a laidback groove while a warmly distorted analogue pad and corresponding bassline push the track forward into club twilight.

The record comes packed with a straight 4/4 remix by Frank Wiedemann of Ame and Howling fame, which unexpectantly evokes banging acid techno and its newer re-definitions. This is an evil Janus-head of an EP or should i say expect a brilliant Jekyll on A1 with a huge portion of Hyde on the Bside Either way, this record is definitely bipolar and gives you two for one.

Augsburg is already known nationwide for his DJ-residency at the infamous
Rote Sonne Club in munich and his outstanding releases on Pastamusik.

Released on Damian Lazarus highly acclaimed Crosstown Rebels imprint 'Valor' tells a deeply personal narrative for Chilean born and Berlin based producer / DJ Dinky, her sixth album acts as a pinnacle to her steadfast and illustrious career and brought on a momentous change to her personal journey.
Esteemed for her work on labels such as Cocoon, Ostgut Ton ,Traum, Wagon Repair, Horizontal and Visionquest, and DJ residency at Berlin's infamous Panorama Bar for over a decade, Dinky AKA Alejandra Iglesias is a trained classical guitarist, singer and keyboard player. Her voice is an anchor to 'Valor', it's crisp definition loaded with intensity.

On the fourth Secret Reels release, Loz Goddard delivers 3 impeccably produced house tracks.Hailing from the musical powerhouse that is Manchester, Loz has previously released on the legendary Large Music and Editorial. The EP 'Loose Jams' was the release that put Loz's name on the map, pushing the top spot in Juno's coveted deep house chart. Released on Fouk (Daniel Leseman & Junktion) & Kristoffer Ljungberg's Outplay label, it was in the record boxes of many top names in house music. The first track, A Way We All Accept, is a piece of low slung funk inspired house, drenched in Rhodes chords and brimming with horns and vocal snippets.Fifth Flight steps it up a notch with twinkling keys, a loose-ass bassline and a synth line to die for! The drums groove on with syncopated hi-hats while a female vocal line swirl around from ear to ear. Hearing this on a big system will have you grinning from ear to ear too!
Junktion turns in a slammer of a remix of 'A Way We All Accept', using the samples from the original to devastating effect. Hans uses his signature swinging hi-hats and loose drums to inject an extra shot of funk! 4000B's brings some piano action to the release. Loz has taken the bassline for a walk on this one, proper grooves!

Rebirth Records is happy to announce the signing of the brand new Pastaboys single 'Deep Musique' to be released in November 2014, to celebrate 20 years of their career.
United by a deep passion for house music, but especially by the desire to use the dance floor as an experimental sound (other than entertainment), Uovo, Dino Angioletti and Rame are working as Pastaboys since 1995, moving with confidence from classic music, to soul, blues and Latin jazz.
An intensive producing activity and numerous remixes realized with the collaboration of the most famous names: It would be enough to mention the rework 'I Love to Love' by Jody Watley with Roy Ayers, released by the prestigious MAW Records, or the various works on Strictly Rhythm and NRK or the super success 'Soul Heaven, produced with Bini & Martini as The Goodfellas. Or, just to arrive to our times, the remix for Stylophonic, Terry Brooks and the piece Joga Bola for the Nike campaign, and the inclusion in the Fabric compilation by the legend Carl Craig (who had appreciated the Italian trio for a long time), or the Eps 'Tribute', 'Limit' and 'Body Resonance' still discovered, loved and played around the world.
Also to mention the album 'Daylight in the Invisible World' released by Irma Records a few years ago with the collaborations from Osunlade and the vocalist Wunmi.
They are also running their label Manocalda and playing their personal sound in the most important italian and international clubs.

'Deep Musique' is a collaboration with Osunlade, an icon of the authentic 'spiritual' culture, and a Pastaboys supporter from a long time. A classic track that recalls the glory days of the 303, with glorious atmospherics pads, a penetrating bass and the catchy spoken vocals from Osunlade. Mancunian producer Trus'Me, owner of Prime Numbers, takes the original on a deeper hypnotic path: a simple and effective workout with techno influences.

Label mainstay Seb Zito provides the 'Ragg On EP' on the ever growing Fuse label. 'Run Along', the eps' vinyl only track is a superbly quirky roller and shows a side of the artist we've yet to see with a melancholic and thoughtful streak imbuing proceedings. 'Raggs' is a stripped back roller, flecks of affected vocals poke through giving the track a tripped out feel.
'Those People' round things off nicely, with it's chunky beats and skippy percussion bringing to mind the more classic side of Tech House from years gone by.

TS10 is the 1st EP of the TONESERIES project. Born from the collaboration between French music producer, live performer and DJ - David K, and Lumie`resLaNuit's co-founder and An der Grenze's founder - Edouard Morin. However, it isn't clear which artist from their extended crew stands behind this 1st release, as if the Berlin-based music label wanted to focus on the music rather on the artist.
TS10 consists of two tracks, both deep and groovy. Whereas 'Ailleurs' disseminates the perfect warm-up groove, 'Desert Snowflakes' fires off a more dancefloor-driven vibe.
With regard to the artwork, as shown on the cover, each track has its own colour. There is neither a A nor a B-side. The same applies to the record vinyl itself. Each track stands on it own. As a result, 'Ailleurs' and 'Desert Snowflakes' distinguish themselves from each other through their vibes and colours, although they remain in the same spirit.
In summary, TONESERIES brings together the idea of interdependence between music and design: what colour follows on from music and, in return, which musicality comes out of colours.

Den Soundtrack schufen A Winged Victory For The Sullen. Hinter der außergewöhnlichen ollaboration verbergen sich Adam Bryanbaum Wiltzie und Dustin O'Halloran. Sie trafen den Regisseur Jalil Lespert erstmals, nachdem dieser bei einer Online-Recherche auf A Winged Victory For The Sullen gestoßen war. Als er ihre Musik hörte, wusste er sofort: Die beiden sind perfekt für meinen neuen Film! Man einigte sich darauf, einerseits im Bereich der analogen Elektronik mit
modularen Synthesizern zu experimentieren und andererseits mit einem großen Streichorchester zu arbeiten, um eine gleichermaßen moderne wie cineastische Klangpalette zu entwickeln. Auf Wunsch von Robert Raths, Labelgründer von Erased Tapes, wurde aus den 60 Minuten Material ein prägnantes, 41-minütiges Album herausgearbeitet. Das Cover gestaltete die Berliner Künstlerin Stephanie F. Scholz, die auch schon das Artwork für Nils Frahms "Music For The Motion Picture Victoria" kreierte.

Having opened Feel My Bicep up for the first time with their previous 12' from New Zealand duo Sandboards, Bicep now welcome another new signing into the fold in the form of Brassica.
In an extension of a bond established on a Civil Music record released back in May of 2016 which saw Bicep remix 'Tears I Can't Afford' - Brassica presents his 'Time Tunnel' EP, a rich and varied 4-track record spanning Acid, Breaks and balmy House Music.
Also included in the package is an edit from The Sphinx and a remix from 'mysterious hardware fiend' Roy of the Ravers who follows up 12's on Acid Waxa and The Centrifuge with a tough, tumbling take on the title track that caps off another solid addition to the Irish dou's evolving imprint.

Droplets of synthesisers trickle down intermittently between tides of evenly paced kicks while a hollow bass-line plucks at the lower depths of House music. A seductive and sedentary vocal, appraising the true meaning of music joins the fray while pads and Rhodes pianos swirl and eddy around the listener. Bulgarian production force Sound Solutions, embark on a quest for the meaning behind the music with Alexander Scott taking on the vocal duty on "It's all About", marking Bogota records' first impression on the physical realm, which include remixes from Of Norway, De Fantastiske To, Usmev, and arriving two months later via the digital release, Arildo.

Always bridging the gap between countries, continents and music, Bogota Records have enlisted the help of three remixers from Oslo and Barcelona to bring new dimensions to this music from Sofia. Of Norway cloud their interpretation in a bit of mystery with an ethnocentricity cloaked in pan flutes and sitars, while fellow Norwegians, De Fantastiske To take a more dancefloor focussed route, bringing a darker, menacing edge to their "Submarinering" version of the original track. Barcelonan producer Usmev closes off the release, applying a lot more emphasis on the kick and swirling pads, taking the original track into the middle of the night and placing it square on the dance floor.

For LGDZ he made an Disco Edit of a well known classic on A and arabian-Bladerunner meets DAF track. MUSK did the proper 4/4 Treatment, to straighten this monster for clubneeds.

Though still young, you could easily believe that he was there since the beginning, producing a fusion of Detroit- and Chicago- Style House with his own up-to-date Flavour.

Michelle Nielsen & Phillip Hill AKA Drew Hill unleash their first release on Dance Club Records, the outstanding 'Talk To You' with stand out remixes by Groove Armada and label owners, Brodanse. The release kicks off with the original version of 'Talk To You'. A deep, spacious vocal house track. Driven by the purest of vocals, deep chords and essential perc hits. Next on the A side is the Brodanse Remix of 'Talk To You'. A deep driving tech groover which takes elements from the original and drives them onto a darker, harder level. Last but by no means least, Groove Armada's Remix. An epic, emotive piano chord led interpretation of the original mix which is a sure classic!

Italian techno evangelist Francesca Lombardo sets up her forthcoming album on Crosstown Rebels with the 'Perseidi' EP, paired with a remix from highly revered producer Aril Brikha.

'Perseidi is named after a meteor shower called perseids,' explains Francesca, 'Perseidi is the Italian name for it, which comes from the constellation Perseus. The astral shower happens mid July till 15 August so this record is coming out at the right time.

Representative of her multi-disciplinary musical background, Francesca's music transcends the dance floor; each track providing an emotional narrative, full of wistful dreamy soundscapes, stirring melodies, deep, hypnotic rhythms and her unforgettable vocals. Featuring live instrumentalists, merging the world of electronic music with Francesca's classical upbringing, the Perseidi EP is a combination of grand and orchestral compositions, together with subtle, nuanced numbers - a healthy balance that epitomises Francesca's sound ethic; mature, refined and powerful. Aril Brikha's remix of the title track is equally as cinematic, fusing sweeping chords with subtle beats to create an epic classic.

Francesca's classical musical training started on piano at the age of six. Her first release on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown Rebels label came in 2012, since which she has had several nominations for 'Breakthrough Artist Of The Year' and conceived a live set incorporating a group of instrumentalists, varying from a string quartet to a 40-piece symphony orchestra; collaborating to compose and conduct intricate new productions. 2015 welcomes a new phase of her career as she prepares to unveil her debut album, a body of work that will truly represent the essence of what she is all about; forward-thinking, experimenting, well-crafted, thoughtful and, most importantly, made from the heart.

Born in Iran and raised in Sweden, Aril Brikha forged his career with one of the biggest techno records of all time, 'Groove La Chord', picked up by techno luminary Derrick May for Transmat Records. Since then he has delivered two critically-acclaimed albums and worked with acclaimed labels such as Peacefrog and Poker Flat.

We are absolutely thrilled to present Larse's first EP on SUOL. This man from Dortmund has a long list of fantastic releases to his name, with originals and remixes on great labels such as DFA, Defected and Eskimo, to name just a few, as well as Beatport number ones, a BBC 'Essential Tune', one of the most influential German club music radio shows to date, a gold record, you name it... needless to say we are very proud to welcome this outstanding producer to our little SUOL family. Larse's trademark style is eclectic, smooth and soulful yet very danceable, which is just the way we like it here at SUOL, and this EP is no exception.
We kick things off with 'Wanna Be Like You' featuring Lisa Shaw on vocals. The touching lyrics combined with Lisa's beautiful voice perfectly complement the track with its lush harmonic synths and dreamy delays on top of a solid foundation of crisp kicks, hovering hihats and drawn out bass notes that will give you goose bumps. The instrumental track 'Connection' goes deeper. Driven by a fast, modulated synth stab and an irresistible shaker groove, this one just builds and builds. Carried by a classic moog bass line, it initially focuses almost entirely on a straight four on the floor rhythm before opening up with a triumphant harmony and finally giving the mesmerized dancers the claps and offbeat hi-hats they will so desperately be craving by then.
Did we mention Larse used to be a Hiphop DJ Well, it certainly shows in 'Kind Of Culture' which sports an oriental vocal sample that is transformed so delightfully it might as well be Q-Bert himself manning the cross-fader. Pairing up this ridiculously hooky cut with the funkiest of House grooves, a hypnotically straight melody, cheeky claves and tons intricate details to feast your ears on whilst getting down, here is a sure-fire dance floor winner to complete this magical EP. 'On Canvas Pt. 2' will follow before the year is out. We can't wait!

OCH has a strong pedigree of collaborations with fellow underground stalwart Jay Bliss the latest to share space on a Autoreply record with the label boss. Bliss should be known to many as the co-owner of Electrique Boutique alongside Markus Homm, for a long time the only vinyl outlet in Romania, and his discography makes for impressive reading these days. Recent times have seen Mr Bliss share record space with the likes of Skudge and Petre Inspirescu on respected imprints like 20:20 Vision, All Inn, Hudd Traxx and Fear Of Flying. AUTO 015 kicks off with a bouncy rework of OCH's "Scammell" from Bliss featuring sub-aqua sound-scapes and sonar blips on an instantly playable US inspired groove. OCH's original has a distinctly liquid approach possibly referencing the work of LTJ Bukem and Good Looking over techno framework. Jay's main offering "Men Are From Mars" is sexy controlled acid which OCH shifts up a gear for peak time floor-play layering the original TB303 patterns to thundering climax. Road-tested on Eleven Club, Tokyo's Alpha System's custom speakers.
