Louie Vega's latest album, Louie Vega Starring... is a dualdisc conceptual record featuring over twenty-five artists on twenty-eight different songs. The record is Louie Vega's first solo album ever and a contender for his magnum opus. Each song is uniquely crafted to represent a different emotion, energy or experience. Their melange with Louie Vega's timeless music production is the album's true treat, 'Today's listener wants to feel good and that's exactly what our songs and tracks do. We celebrate the gift of love, art and music,' adds Vega. Followers of his illustrious career will find the album unveils a completely new side of the legendary artist; that of a sound chemist. Louie explains, 'My inspirations came from various visits around the world and experiences in life. As far as the album's sounds, I revisited lots of R&B, soul, gospel, nu jazz, even some disco, all within the backdrop of house music, took it back to the artist and song tailoring' .

Describing his artistic process, 'The album came together naturally, it was a growing process. It was like planting a tree, each branch represented an artist, a sound, a groove. The entire process happened within a few years. It started with a few songs and then this past year, I was in a creative state and the music happened back to back. As I travelled and toured, I met artists on the road and would record with them a few weeks later. The experience with the artists on the album was magical; they are all so talented and very unique and have their own special quality.'

The delivered sampling of featured artists on Louie Vega Starring... is one for the record books and a must for any music aficionado as Louie explains, 'This body of work is a masterpiece that will be party of my legacy. I see it up there on the same high shelf with albums like Nuyorican Soul, Elements of Life, and Masters at Work.'

Reggie Dokes will be back this fall with another EP on his own label Psychostasia. After a long hiatus he returned last spring with his fresh Detroit House sound. Now, we're happy to present his follow up; New York EP.

Behind the next release on Meant Records are Italian duo Boot & Tax, a relatively new pairing made up of Claudio Brioschi and CristianCroce. Here they serve up three great originals baced with a stellar remix from Alien Alien. Before now, Boot & Tax have released two extremely well received EPs on JD Twitch's Optimo Trax and have also recently had their music licensed to Erol Alkan's Fabric live 77, so the pair are really on the up. Title track 'Brace Brace' is first and is an elastic, analogue workout with gurgling synth lines riding up and down atop steely drums as punky vocals come on at various intervals. Acid and electro, techno and house all get bottled up in the arrangement, which is fresh and just what you would expect of someone backed by JD Twitch. The Alien Alien remix of this one is slow and trudging, purposeful and swampy. Snaking synths, coarse claps and a sense of foreboding pervade this most groovy of slo mo cuts. 'Niente Per Niente' is a dark but balearic feeling bit of chugging disco, with big licks and groaning bass all gliding along at an inviting tempo. Breathy female ad libs add a sense of character to the shadowy drums and ensure this one will set parties like ALFOS on fire. Lastly, 'Balkan Youth' gets much more cosmic with its flipping synths, twinkly melodies and rattling percussive patterns. Ascending ever higher, it takes you on a ride through the cosmos and dumps you out somewhere altogether happier. This is sure to be a breakout release for Boot & Tax who seem right at the heart of the analogue disco revolution.

Richy Ahmed launches his new imprint, Four Thirty Two, with a self-produced two-track single, 'Put Me In A Trance', featuring the vocal talents of Gloria Adereti and a collaboration with up and coming producer, Janson.
The new label is a back to basics, analogue vision, directed by Richy, which will include original material, unearthed and undiscovered artist appearances, and remixes from the Richy and Janson alias Love Hurtz, as well as featuring a variety of vocalists from surrounding circles. Each release will have a clear focus on the sound of vinyl and clean-cut imagery presented with each record.
Richy explains; "The first release is from myself, my good friend Janson and Gloria Adereti, all original and new material. I am super happy with the EP and both tracks are sounding really strong, so cant wait for you to hear it. Check the original artwork also done by Will Worrell and myself, each release will have unique and bespoke artwork that we've created and photographed in professional studios. I'm super proud to kick start the label with this release."
Since his debut EP 'The Drums' on Hot Creations in 2013, Richy has continued to pave the way for genre spanning and aspiring artists. Aside from his recording and production ventures, Richy has been at the forefront of UK house music and its surrounding avenues for some years, taking a lead role in programming DC10'S Paradise parties, and a variety of club projects. Richy has forthcoming remixes for the likes of FFRR and Snatch, and has recently had solo singles out on Strictly Rhythm and Rinse Records, as well as a prestigious remix for New Order.
As an extension to the label releases, Four Thirty Two will tour the UK as an operating label party brand, with early shows selling out in record time and forthcoming label nights around the UK and Europe scheduled, all side stepping Richy's usual realms of clubland for smaller and more intimate venues.

Belgian producer Joris Biesmans (aka Cashmere* and Benn Lian) delivers a counterweight to the "fast food music" that ram-raids its way into today's mainstream consciousness, with a project named TVe - "The Virtual escape" - indicating his urge to escape from today's data-saturated, music-as-mass-industrial-product environment. Musically, TVe aims for an aesthetic ambush incorporating strange & self-made hardware instruments, tape machines, non-standard structures, atonal abstraction, noise, distortion and randomness - openly embracing imperfections instead of smoothing them out with calibrated presets & templates. To this end, TVe has brought two masters of this approach on board for the label's debut EP and with Creme Organization alumni Legowelt and ASOK bringing forth their own inimitable style on remixes of Biesmans' delightfully askew original productions. Following the release of the album 'Still Waters' earlier this year, Breakbot, which has now turned into a duo, has let other artists take control of his flagship single '2good4me' and the track 'My Toy'. Four of today's most prominent producers took on the challenge to create this EP featuring Fatima Yamaha, Canblaster (one fourth of the French quartet Club Cheval), UK techno star Riton and Ed Banger Records' recent protégé Borussia.

From pre-internet days when scenes throughout Europe and the US were created on the back of techno and house music, a smaller but just as significant scene had developed in Adelaide, Celebrations were a weekly occurance on Adelaide dance floors and DJ HMC was responsible for the playlist. He established himself as one of Australia's most popular Dj's and his recording career followed soon after. By 1991 his massive hit 'life Support System' from the 100% Juice EP. (Juice 001) had his local fans citing him as a pioneer of Australian techno and house music.HMC's, City Rhythm, is vintage and new. Damien Donato of Juice Records say's, 'you cant create a more true Juice Record than this. Our signature sound was founded on the early years of HMC's recording career". City Rhythm has a maturity in composition and sound. With classic synth sounds, arrangements of deep house and the revered pulse of a solid techno groove, there are club anthems, underground house gems and techno moments designed for any sound system. Listening back to HMC's Southern Cross EP, (Juice 012, 1995), you can hear his international appeal. He had a global hit in the track LSD, but the EP hid gems, such as, Digits. These were true House Master C trax. These elements have more clarity on City Rhythm. HMC has stayed true to his musical ambitions but has embraced the technology of today without fear of losing any appeal to techno and house music purists. 'Freedom School' is well known for releasing music from the likes of IG Culture, Mark De Clive Lowe, Eric Lau and Rick "The Godson' Wilhite. The third volume of the FREEDOM SCHOOL D.J. SERIES features the work of Kaidi Tatham. There are three solid tracks on this 12' from beat-down House to jazzy down tempo beats. Kaidi brings his futuristic funky fusion to give all the dancers warm and peaceful vibes!

Composer Kate Simko, along with her all-female London-based string ensemble London Electronic Orchestra, release their highly anticipated album. Kate Simko has composed tracks that subtly blend her training as a classical pianist with her passion for electronic music. The result is an inimitable mix of sonorous strings and instruments melting with synthesizers and loose grooved beats, taking classical music to an innovative level.

Musical worlds collide, with a rework of Schubert, Egyptian and Eastern melodies, rainforest samples, Philip Glass-inspired minimalism and classic 808 electronic drums.

The album includes reworks of The xx and Parra For Cuva, as well as collaborations with prominent UK house DJ Jamie Jones and pop singer Katy B.

We finished 2015 with a six-track jumbo EP from Borrowed Identity and thought we'd repeat the same trick for 2016, though this time with originals from Okayama-based producer Keita Sano.
EYE begins with Keep an Eye Out, Pt. 2,' a propulsive song that sounds like a lost contender for the Knight Rider theme. Own Signal' keeps things dark, but with a spartan bleakness. The side finishes with Smoker,' another manic cut that'll give you chills.
The flip finds Keita exploring brighter sounds without losing that industrial, jagged edge. TRMK' is essentially a beat track that'll ignite any dance floor and Fix' is a herky-jerky ditty that'll get you stomping around the club like a possessed reveler. The 12''s cherry on top is Think Twice,' a funky ass-shaker that centers around a crackly sample of crowd noise, a chopped-up disco vocal, and bouncy bass. A fiery finale for this hedonistic party.

The new 10 inch SuperSingle 160 by O*RS takes us back on a journey through time without suffering a loss of modern or contemporary sound. With "Body Talk" the Berlin based female producer PEREL creates a future house classic featuring no less than Abba Lang. Lang, who lives in Berlin but originally comes from Uganda, not only add his voice to the original track but creates a delicate Hip Hop rhythm while reciting - and harmonizes perfectly with PERELs vocals and the sound of the track. "This Love", the second track featured on the limited SuperSingle is a house tune which has it all: love of detail, funky grooves and extravaganza. O*RS 10inch 160 - one record, two tracks and a perfect fusion of House and Hip Hop.

Exactly 20 years after the release of the Classic EP Chez Damier and Ralph Lawson entered the studio again. Just as before they only had one day to record, after playing a gig together at back to basics in Leeds.

'The Moment' came out of that session. They didn't plan for it to take that long nor did they plan for the release of 'The Moment' to come out just after the recent re-release of 'Classic EP'. It just happened like that.

This makes the choice of track name even more fitting as does the EP title "Lost in Time". The EP has been put together by Ralph Lawson and also features work with another long term production partner Carl Finlow, who produced all the early 2020Vision releases with Lawson.

The title track on the flip side is a deeper dub techno workout with powerful atmospheric chords and insistent drums, mixed down in live passes straight from the machines.

The EP is rounded off by 'Attraction', a more melodic groove reminiscent of early Prescription Underground with Tuccillo adding layers of analog synths and vibes from his Ibizan studio.

The Organ Grinder mints his new record label with a bulked up reissue of a gem from his back catalogue that will make DJs - and dancers - very happy. Far from throwaway, this is music rooted in the '90s US garage sound of Kerri Chandler, Masters at Work and early Todd Edwards, with the intensity of true deep house and the light rhythmic touch of UKG. 'Obsession' originally came out almost 5 years ago, but there's simplicity in its skittering rhythm and a mantra of rising minor-note synth hits that keep it burning into the dancefloor. 'X Rated' hits like its inverted counterpart, with a more heavily weighted drum groove and garage stabs that spiral down your spine. 'Physicality' opens the EP with cunningly-sampled soul music, sung notes of passion belted out over a tense background of keys and Rhodes chords, weaving an atmosphere that only comes out of expertly woven harmony.

'This is a mass culture we live in. It makes you act like something you really aren't. It made me so narrow that I couldn't really do myself justice so I broke away from that whole modern dance thing. I want to be me, I want to be human.'

Doctor Barbara Ann Teer's words on The Radicle's opening jam 'JAS' may have been lifted from an old Folkways record, but that doesn't make the sentiment any less prescient. In fact, these words could have been said by Tim himself in reference to the spirit and ideology of 'The Radicle', only his third ever artist album to date.

Released 30 October on the Seminal Strictly Rhythm label, the album is vastly different from the majority of electronic albums out there. It has a decidedly soulful, blues-y feel and instead of the 'here's ten club tracks, will this do' approach, Tim took his time and immersed himself completely into the record, surrounding himself with some of the best contemporary jazz musicians around, including Jim Mullen (guitar), Rod Youngs and Enzo Zirilli (drums), Pete Wareham (sax), Jay Phelps (trumpet), John Donaldson (piano) and Ben Hazleton (bass).

The Radicle was born out of a pure love of real instruments and instrumentation and a desire to return to the source. 'Working with musicians really inspired me,' comments Tim 'I started having piano lessons once a week with my teacher Cherry and started reconnecting directly with the music via the instrument, rather than going out and listening to old jazz records. With The Radicle I really had the vision about what I wanted to achieve.'

The Radicle is a proper musical trip. And in keeping with the spirit of the record, the look and feel of the actual album reflects that authenticity, with the first promo shoot location being infamous East End boozer The Clapton Heart, where many of the shots were taken on Rolleflex film, cementing the consistency between analogue production and the photos themselves.

The Radicle is a nine track sonic adventure with ideas bursting from every kick and lick. There's even a cover of the Miles Davis classic 'So What!' which bends the trumpet classic into new forms while 'Shanti' explores a more mysticial, Indian vibe with a sax solo John Coltrane would be proud of. There are no synthesizers or electronics on the record: in some respects, it's also a reaction against the electronic world.

Every home should have this record from the 2 of the originators of deep House! Virgo 4 were kicking out the most melodic, fathoms deep, complex emotional machine music before anyone else (them & Larry obviously!) had caught up with them & the "Do You Know Who Are" EP from 1989 is as flawless as it gets, often imitated over the years but never, ever bettered!

Every single track on this slab of wax is a classic! Virgo manage to reach right inside & take us somewhere on every cut while maintaining an otherworldly sense of melody & rhythm, some of the playing on this record is incredible & so accomplished, "In A Vision" for example still sounds like it's beaming right at us from the future while "Take Me Higher" carries it's stately, Reggae-like vibe along smoothly while retaining enough bounce to keep the floor locked in.

Basically, "Do You Know Who Are" is an almost perfect record. You need it. It's the truth.

Young Marco made a big impression to a new lot of listeners at the beginning of 2012 with his ESP Institute debut, Nonono / Darwin in Bahia (played by Dixon and James Murphy amongst others). The young man from Amsterdam now returns with a sister 12" to his Nonono, a perfectly complimentary piece of wax that maintains his esoteric stance on House music, and proves that he's no one-trick pony. Video Days blends Marco's signature analog synth work with tribal rhythms and a loose sense of narrative, while the flipside Later Than U Think takes a more cheeky approach, pairing a blissfully stabbing core melody with a mousey counter-melody and setting it all over some huge tom-heavy drum programming. These songs are the perfect close to a beautiful Summer, whether you're lost in euphoria as the sun comes up, or simply dancing around your kitchen in the nude.

Drei Farben House returns on Tenderpark with his third
album 'Choice Item', consisting of eight light-footed
slices of Soul and Disco as perceived through House-
tinted glasses. Most cuts on 'Choice Item' are based on
Philly grooves - born out of a deep respect and love for
the Philadelphia Soul tracks of the late 70s and early
80s. It's from this period that Michael Siegle (aka Drei
Farben House) draws his inspiration for this long player.
As Soul and Disco lost their initial freshness and
novelty, the music matured into something warmer -
which perhaps already contained a sense of its own
passing. Drei Farben House delves into this feeling,
delivering an album as warm and welcoming as a late summer or early autumn afternoon. Each track sees Siegle balancing Pop sensibilities within a House music context - re-contextualising the commercial Soul music of the last decades. Taking snippets of this glorious musical past and feeding them through Drei Farben House's colourful prism results in the creation of something new and fresh: Part homage to the Pop/Soul sensibilities of the commercial side of Afro-American music, part forward-thinking House album. The record is also an expression of Drei Farben House's love for two particular instruments - the warm, muted sound of the acoustic snare drum and the dynamic tones of the bass guitar - both of which were dominant during the Philly era and which feature heavily throughout this record and thus fully complement Siegle's soft, emotive vocals. The sublime artwork comes courtesy of long-time Tenderpark collaborator Till Sperrle. With the recent Tenderpark release photography based on details of a building by Pierre Vago in Berlin's Hansaviertel, the new artwork decorating 'Choice Item' now makes use of a modernist building from the era of the former GDR (DDR) in Jena called 'Glashaus Paradies'...

Following on almost 5 years after their first release "Journey To The Centre Of The Sun' on ESP Institute comes Sombrero Galaxy's second 12' on Second Circle.
Featuring the label's very own Tako Reyenga (Red Light Records, Music From Memory) and Jonny Nash (Melody As Truth, Land of Light) these two tracks were cut from a weekend of sprawling space-jams recorded in Jonny's North London home in 2012 and until recently were thought to be lost.

Originally released from Joi Cardwell's Label No-Mad Industries in 2009 on CD and DATA. This release is 2016 Update version of Color Of Love and this is Extended version.

Cosmic & earthy dubbed out house by Zarate_Fix from Narrabeen & DJ Sotofett of Moss - Sex Tags Mania. The percussive title track expands little by little until reaching a cosmic choral state, then giving space for a long-driven flute solo. B1 provides pure dub chains of percussion and an extended flute part while B2 goes further towards the beatless beautiful cosmos with soft chimey new age ambient synths.

New project Synthetic Gold Records promises not only new material, but also represses from selected labels and digitally released tracks made available on vinyl for the first time. On SGR001 there's a top tune by Isherwood, one of the finest works to date by the UK producer, then an old classic by the Russian production duo and founders of Nervmusic, Easy Changes. On the Bside, there are works by Romanian producer Nu Zau and a wonderful little track by Welsh producer Tom Ellis. Top collection, all remastered, and beautifully presented in brown cardboard sleeves and on 180gram vinyl!

Ment is a raw and jacking deep house track. Lipslide a sublime and discoish house track with dubby chords and bubbly synths. On the flip Samo DJ and Alexi3d transform the original in to gritty and percussive techno trip. The EP ends with Ask which is a slow house-not-house track.
