Returning to their home label Circus Recordings with their second full EP, long-time friends of Yousef Acid Monday's provide an electric new EP. Opening with Blazelnuts, a thunderous club banger certain to grip dancefloors the world over. With Bold percussion and low-slung bassline, the track stampedes with a furious attack. Next up, Interstellar Cake leads with a dark spoken vocal, paired with an unmistakable groove that's set to cause major damage. With remixes from both Richy Ahmed and Subb-An, two well-known facilitators of underground club culture, the package possesses everything from acid to soul and is aimed solely at the dancer.

Christmas is coming close and Stalwart didn't wait for the 25th of December to treat you with this amazing release. Jerk House Connection, the french soulful combo known for their succesful releases on Defected and Antho Records, have teamed up with Brit Pop Icon Niles Thomas, who has been called an avant-garde singer/songwriter, on this special track called « Velvet Touch ».

From the age of 13, Jullian Gomes secretly gambled every cent of his school lunch money on buying deep-house records; no doubt with the unknown knowledge that someday, these records would change his life forever. Only a few people know this but Jullian used to sneak, yes! sneak into local clubs in and around Pretoria / Tshwane from a very early age. At this time nothing could stop this young man being 'in the moment' to enjoy the music that has now, amazingly, become his full time career. Maybe his parents will be ok with the knowledge of his secret nightlife now knowing how incredibly skilled and loved their son has become throughout the world of dance music. Jullian Gomes is truly a very dedicated individual, and this young musical maestro has in just a few years leaped forward and galvanised a career for himself in a very competitive industry. From his brief visit to London for the Red Bull Music Academy in 2010, to releasing his debut album 'Late Dreamer' in 2016, Gomes, with a lot of hard grafting built up his relationships and very quickly covered a lot of very bumpy and obstacle-ridden ground to get him to where he is today.
To say this man is 'Here To Stay' is a massive understatement. Late Dreamer is unmistakably the sound of 'Jullian Gomes' - wonderfully laid back, thick chunky beat-ridden soulful house music featuring some incredible talent. From the teachings of the wonderful wordsmith OVEOUS, to South Africa's most celebrated female in dance music 'Bucie', Liquid Deep's 'Ziyon' and talenteers Lazarusman, Daev Martin, Sio, Kabomo, Bobby, UK-based Sarai Jazz, and Martin Iveson. A clear and well thought out collection of songs, that together make a warm and
attractive addition to the world of electronic soul music.
This debut album started out its life in a spark of realisation with Jullian's mind working in overdrive thinking way back to a time where it all started for him. Working his day job to make his daily bread and thereafter falling asleep in his home studio in the dark of night pushing to carve his musical career. Waking up one morning 'late' to go to his day job, he asked himself the question "What am I late for" this lead to Jullian's priorities shifting wildly planting the seed that he may be too late to follow the dreams he had for all these years.This album and indeed Gomes' whole musical career is the biggest leap of faith he has ever taken and it sure has paid off. Jullian may be in his own eyes a 'Late Dreamer', yet he has proved time and time again that dreams can come true if you believe.

Politics Of Dancing Records first "Various Artists Sampler" brings together five great producers who always delivers quality house music. Lopaski's "Common Grounds" is a very classy floor filler, heavy on rhythm and atmospheres with the perfect breakdown. Rhythm&Soul's "Late Night City" is a deep spacy house track with a powerful bassline and heady vocals. REda daRE's "Woman In Gold" is a great deep house groover with a chunky bassline and sweet tasting stabs. And Carlos Sanchez & Alex Kaddour's "Caramba" is a late night break beat stomper with a groovy acid bassline and soft atmospheres that will blow dancer's mind.

Noted for releases on labels such as Rush Hour, Delusions Of Grandeur and Mister Saturday Night, London-based producer Nebraska brings us three characteristically top-notch slices of sample-rich deep house. All three tracks on this new Peckham-based label demonstrate a deep understanding of dub and funk in equal measure. Music for late night one-light shebeens.

Los Angeles duo Split Secs return to the world of vinyl-based, dance floor devastation after their recent remix of FOMO's "House Of Love," which features none other than soul diva supreme, Chaka Khan on vocal duties. Their shiny, new opus is "Rhummy," a seductive foray into techno-tinged, controlled madness. This new single contains five tracks, four mixes of "Rhummy" and the track, "System Musica." The digital release comes with an extra rendition of "Rhummy" by Muzik Non Stop aka Layne Fox, of modern, disco disciples 40 Thieves. The original mix of "Rhummy" is a moody, lurching and low-slung thing, designed for dark corners on dark dancefloors. A tight, vacuum packed kick drum rolls under skittering hi-hats and grinding synth textures, a simulated train alarm and a minimal, but tough, and ominous bassline. This will ease you into the AM nicely. Dublin's deep crate digging Compassion Crew provides a version that deviates slightly from the original, but adds a whispered, sung and, generally unsettling, vocal snippet that should make it a 5 AM favorite. On side two Tom Noble's mix is up next and this sees the seasoned vinyl aficionado and Superior Elevation label and store proprietor deviating away from his disco-derived dogma. He delivers what sounds like a punchy hybrid of melodic techno and old school NY/NJ garage being willfully steered into a modern context and bathed in a wash of bubbling, sweeping synth work. Split Secs decide that you haven't been funked enough and finishes up with "System Musica," a latin-infused, techy bounder that will sound as good in San Antonio, Texas as it does in San Antonio, Ibiza. It's nice and drummy and the spoken-word Spanish vocal really sets off its sparseness. It's a great DJ tool and a stand out tune on its own.

Brianna Price AKA B.Traits, launches her new record label venture, In.toto, with a self-produced two track single, 'Still Point'/'North Shore'.
In.toto, to mean 'as a whole, altogether, UNITY', will focus not only on her own productions and releases, but also provide a platform for up and coming artists, and those producers already championed in her DJ sets and hugely loved BBC Radio 1 show, by way of new material and compilation albums. The label will be backed by bespoke events and club nights, enabling the artists and the sound of In.toto to reach far and wide.
On the label's inaugural release, Brianna sets the tone perfectly with 'Still Point'. Gnarly, rasping bass punctures the gentle piano riff and ethereal synth pads as this club ready track blossoms into life, the assured and driving drums never letting the energy drop for one second. On the flip side of the limited edition, purple 12' vinyl release, ''North Shore' opens with warm IDM pulses and tones, grandiose strings and vocal refrains create a huge sound that takes its unexpected breakbeat twist, reminiscent of British rave heroes Orbital, whilst holding its own with its fresh and bright production.

Pulp's DaRand Land has become the label's very own stalwart. Being involved in every single release thus far, a new project of a certain extend would be the next logical step.
Heaven Electric is a mini album that's being released in two 12inch efforts. The first part comes as a 4- track release with 3 originals and a soul moving remix by no-one less than the respected Edinburgh native 'Linkwood'. From the first seconds this sophomore part of the Heaven Electric album showcases the signature DaRand Land style we've enjoyed so much on the previous PULP releases. Beautiful chords, pads, and thriving basslines throughout. Of course, the Linkwood remix included in this wonderful package is not to be missed.

Hot on the heels of killer releases by label heads Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves, the latest Visionquest release sees the label turn its head to Deadbeat aka Scott Monteith. The Berlin based Montrealeler has been putting his own spin on house and techno for some time now, putting his stamp on esteemed labels such as Cynosure, Echocord and Wagon Repair. The Jacks EP continues his fine tradition of putting out discerning fare, as he conjures up a new EP package that remixes his classic track, Mecca Drum Track (originally released on Wagon Repair), from 2008. Striking in its many intricate and delicate production wares, it's a polished effort from the outset.

The Jacks EP gets going with the suitably titled ''Berghain Drum Jack'', a suitably raucous and out-there slice of tribal tech that pays homage to the Berlin club and is notable for its banking percussive elements and its propensity for surprises. Starting off on an unrelenting tip, it gets even more off-kilter the longer it stretches out, as the drums become even more pronounced and the baseline finally enters the fray. Dark but dexterous, it's a thrilling track that's sure to more even the most ardent and discerning of dancefloors.

Middle track ''Mecca Drum Jack'' sees the producer opt for a similarlly-inclined vibe, as the drums play a similarly pertinent role. A fitting tool with which to light up your set, it's more dextrous in nature than what's arrived before but another altogether engrossing effort. Rounding off the weighty three-tracker is ''Acid Dub Jack'', which sees Deadbeat really go off on a frankly mental course that's littered with atmosphere from the get-go. Once again, Visionquest and Deadbeat have reminded us why they're both so cherished in the techno world.

Re:works is the result of a groundbreaking project that sees the rich catalogue of Decca Classics being opened to some of the world's foremost electronic producers, seeking to further establish the common ground between the historic and modern day aspects of musical composition.
Ranging from the experimental to the more recognisable 4/4 structures of house and techno, Re:works elicits the full range of emotion - from the heartbreaking to the ecstatic.
Taking on Satie's celebrated 'Gnossienne No.1', former Planet Mu and Ninja Tune artist Starkey starts with little more than the stripped-back piano of the original piece, before steadily building to an epic peak through increasingly frenetic percussion and soaring florescent synths.
Also included on EP 2 is Henrik Schwarz's version of Debussey Azzez 'Vif Et Bien', a dramatic restructuring of the many string parts for a unclassifiable record that is by turns playful and intensely dramatic. This "Azzez Kik Rework" version by Henrik is exclusive to the vinyl pressing. Finally, Mr. Scruff's gleefully idiosyncratic 14-minute reinterpretation of Reich's 'Six Pianos' creates an ever-evolving piano loop, sporadically dotted with neon-flecked glitches and harnessed by a chugging 4/4 beat.

Following up on the highly successful Classic Chicago tracks E.P., DJ Duke takes us even deeper with another volume of Chicago legends and pioneers, Spanky, Danell Dixon, Felix Da Housecat and Nate Williams. Again, the raw stompers are re-edited by Duke for the ultimate dance experience.

The latest chapter in the long standing relationship between Gilles Peterson and the music of Cuba sees him explore the roots of rumba through a project comprising three parts: a feature length documentary, a collection of remixes and a free sample pack. Produced in collaboration with rum maker Havana Club - creator of the Havana Cultura platform to promote contemporary Cuban culture - this is another episode in a six-year relationship that's already given vital exposure to different aspects of Cuba's thriving music culture through the Havana Cultura album series.

Peterson worked with the island's esteemed rumberos to record authoritative versions of the three rhythms as well as discuss what differing meanings and origins are attached to each. The recordings of rumba's three key styles were handed to a crop of producers working in the orbit of the most interesting corners of club music, allowing for an exciting, global re-interpretation of rumba's roots. The result is Havana Club Rumba Sessions: a collection of remixes that's as varied as you'd expect from a roster of producers spread across locales as wide as South London to Japan and beyond.

Following a solid year of releases kick started by Beatport #1 'No Distance', collaboration with Innervisions boss Dixon, we've witnessed Guy Gerber's RUMORS label go from strength to strength. In its debut year the label has already had guest appearances from Seth Troxler and Chaim, and now Guy himself is set to reveal 'Rumors On The Dancefloor' featuring Miss Kittin.

Set to be Miss Kittin's debut appearance on the label and also marking the eighth RUMORS release, 'Rumors On The Dancefloor' is a powerful embodiment of Guy's innovative imprint. Divided into two parts, the release is built around a symbolic whisper and deep bass guitar riffs that follow a galactic-inspired house and techno framework - with part two a harder offering awash with Guy's signature blend of melodic soundscapes and stylish beats.

Over on the white isle, RUMORS is also encompassing a hugely successful event series held at Playa d'en Bossa's beautiful Beachouse. The party has its own unique ethos whereby each week, the lineups can only be discovered by hearsay and word of mouth. In addition to his weekly party in Ibiza, key dates in Guy's diary include Space in New York, Story Nightclub in Miami and ENTER's Space opening party.

Just in time for the summer peak comes an EP by Swedish producer, HNNY. The lead song is a sentimental, romantic serenade, decked out with lush vocal samples, fortified by a simple, bouncy bass and jazzy drums. Young Marco speeds the tune up and creates a longer instrumental lead-in that sounds like cutting room floor scraps from an Altered Images studio session in the early 80s. A cheerful and perky reinterpretation that is made all the more bittersweet thanks to the late (yet rewarding) incorporation of the fragile swoonings of the original.

The flip supplements 'Mys' aesthetically and sonically, which makes sense—consider it the second half of this two-part composition. It's still a saccharine and gushy little nugget, but one that's a bit more beat-heavy and layered (plenty of sax!) Gothenburg natives, Shakarchi & Stranéus, morph the tune into a deeper, loopier ditty that will surely set any floor ablaze with it's sharp edges and sleek synth washes.

Whether you're embracing your loved one to these four songs while sprawled out in a cushy patch of park green or boogieing on a dancefloor, we know they'll do the trick and meld to the moment you're in.

Finally repressed!
Joris Voorn returns with yet another masterpiece to Rejected's sister imprint Green. Not one to shy from experimenting Joris turns it up a notch yet again with his latest release Ringo. Circulating on the internet for almost a year as the mystery track it finally sees it official release. The B side includes an upbeat reworked version of the original with an added play on vocals.

Without exception this EP is a standout from the rest that will definitely be heard for many years to come.

The third instalment of King Street Sounds Kerri Chandler focussed "House Legends" series sees us digging into late 90's territory with the EP kicking off with "Harder Gets Higher", a stomping Garage groove with dope flourishes of live percussion, typically heavy on those swinging drums and the deepest bassline, all of the trademarks we've come to expect from the man himself. Following on is the heavyweight 6.23 club mix of "Grass Cutter" lifted from his "Trionosphere 3" release from 2000, serious Latin-esque drums cascade over one of the funkiest basslines out there to create a devastating club tool, a perfect way to shake up any dance-floor. On the flip we're treated to a pair of stellar Kerri remixes, Ananda Project's "Awareness (Kerri's Dark Dub)" kicks things off, a taut, driving piece of sultry, late night house featuring some sublime spoken word vocals from Mia Tuttavilla. Rounding out the EP in fine style is the gospel infused sounds of Carolyn Harding's "Pick It Up", as deep as it gets, uplifitng organ, piano and vocal led sweetness, this is pure HOUSE, one for the heads indeed. All featured tracks have been fully licensed from King Street, remastered and reissued with %100 involvement from the label. Essential House music for the seasoned heads and neophytes alike!

So in love with this fella's sound are we that we managed to squeeze four stellar originals on a 12' and flesh it out with a Jacob Korn remix. Talk about bang for your buck.

May 2014 we released Of Norway's debut album 'Accretion', a musical journey which showcased the Norwegian duo's creativity and ability to create music on the border between songwriting and club music. 'Spirit Lights' was one of the highlights of the album and will be now the kick-off for the - Accretion' remix series. The original is a long and hypnotizing deephouse jam in the vein of Atjazz o r Charles Webster. A true beauty, ennobled for example by Ten Walls by including it in his mind blowing BBC One Essential Mix last summer. 'Spirit Lights' was cowritten and completed with the amazing lyrics and vocals of Linnea Dale, well known in Norway for her collaboration with the band Donkeyboy and the resulting two No 1 single charts positions of the titles - Ambitions' and - Somedays'. Furthermore in 2014 she was the representative act for her country at the Eurovision Song Contest. Diynamic's dream-team Adriatique is responsible for the frst remix. As was to be expected, the two Swiss also had a lucky hand at the remix and turned the original into a true beauty, a version literally begging for summer and beach. A true open-air guarantor. Italy's up and coming Lehar, who bestowed upon us his 'Sargas EP' one of our most successful releases in 2014, created with his version for the fip side such a mystical and alluring tune, that it quickly ended up as regular in the sets of Mano Le Tough and Adriatique, just to name a few. This created such a buzz, that his remix has already reached No 13 of the last Groove Mag 50 charts, without having started any promo yet. Things can't get more promising.

Osmose delivers 1 of his patented slo-mo-disco numbers + 2 loopy disco-tools, while King Most pumps up the sweetness on his reggae machine. Usual hand stamped Smokecloud packaging.

Quavius is a producer and rapper from the southern United States. Born in the late 80s with family in the military, he's bounced between Virginia and Florida, soaking in regional go-go and baltimore club music along with rap, R&B, jazz and Drum n' Bass. After some years experimenting behind the DAW, he's amassed a diverse catalog of tunes, 8 of which are featured on his debut self-titled 12" for Lustwerk Music.
Energetic deep house, two-stepping astral funk, crispy cloud raps and cascading rollerskate riffs occupy this all-encompassing EP. Quavius manipulates samples like watercolors, letting bitrates blend and snap into euphoric moments of clarity. His rapping is that of a shapeshifter, making room in the mix any way he sees fit, high, low, melodic or not. And the lyrics Catchy, life-affirming, fun. What more could you ask for

Francesco Tristano takes on one of the most recogniseable piano riffs of all time with his remix of 'Merry Christmas Mr. Laurence', which, after a brief introduction of that seminal loop, descends into deep, dubby house cut punctuated by shimmering keys.
Patrice Baumel's remix is an intense techno workout that is in many ways the antithesis of his definitive 'Roar': a non-stop pummeling via clattering percussion and a heavy, pulsing bassline. Completing the package, Grammy-nominated studio legend Martin Buttrich delivers a melancholy, minimalistic techno take on Satie's 'Gnossienne No.4'

Music For Dreams proudly presents the brand new project from Ibiza legend Leo Mas. Sonic Friends Of The Galaxy is a joint venture with regular parter Fabrice and DJ Rocca who have teamed up to deliver future Balearic classic 'Adamo & Eva'. This 12' features four very different versions of the track and first up is the floor-friendly 'Paradiso Mix', created by Leo, Fabrice and Rocca together - a velvety groove with a sax reminiscent of 808 State standard 'Pacific State' and a jumpy deep bass, perfect for moon elevation. Followed by two Leo Mas & Fabrice mixes - the midtempo almost esoteric 'Es Vedrà Mix', a moody Ibiza creature, and the gorgeous 'On Air Mix' with all elements floating in space with only few rhythmical touches, a moment of pure bliss. Finally, Rocca's 'Original Sin Mix' is a stabby, oscillating acidic beauty. Get your hands on this limited vinyl  before it disappears into a Galaxy far away ... 

Seth Troxler follows up a slew of cross-genre releases across his Soft Touch and Tuskegee labels with another offering on his no-nonsense imprint Play It Say It. Designed to bring road-tested, high-grade club material to the fore Play It Say it has seen the likes of Clarian, Sharam and Steve Lawler build its catalogue and now, next in line is the Paris based Damien Roussel AKA The Mekanism.

Every bit as much a stalwart of vinyl DJing as a producer The Mekanism's previous releases have touched Needwant and Los Suruba. As a DJ, he holds down a residency at Showcase in Paris as well as maintaining summertime slots at one of Ibiza's most loved underground parties Antz.

All the while he has consistently rolled out the sort of taught, bumping grooves that lend him perfectly to Play It Say It and his latest offering is no exception: Tough and tumbling bass lines peppered with nifty vocal samples and flecks of acid.

'Acid Love' kicks things off with a circling bass pattern punching beneath sharp, shuffling percussion and stuttering vocal samples. 'Lost Girl' then drives a spoken word sample through a hefty bass pattern and hallucinogenic delays that are sent shimmering across the mix in a manner certain to send the floor into rapture in another fine addition to the Play It Say it series.

Make It Right marks another step forward for Typesun who first turned heads with releases like The PL and Last Home. Inspired by the great soul, funk and rare groove producers of the past, Typesun brings together a group of local musicians including percussionist Lisa Sheridan and bassist Jeff Spencer to feature on his composition alongside London heavyweights Miles James (guitar) and Lewis Wright (vibraphone). The result is a lush, melodic house jam pinned down by Typesun's finely-honed production chops, backed by a Detroit house remix from FXHE's Jason Fine.

Bristol artist Luke Harney is an integral part of Bristol's musical landscape. As a third of FallingUp alongside Andy Mac and Jay L he has been responsible for opening up local crowds to the sounds of artists like Specter, Floating Points and DJ Andres. As Typesun he is one of the few composers currently pushing the boundaries between rare groove and electronic music via his Root Elevation label. Meanwhile as a drummer he has composed and performed with theatre shows and as band leader he has toured the festival circuit under the Typesun moniker. From time to time he also cracks open his considerable record collection at underground house parties for select friends and family.

Roman Flügel "I think the first 5 tracks of the album are simply fantastic"

"Spanish musician Alex Font delivers the third release from his acme imprint this May with two groove led cuts set for a limited release of 200 copies on vinyl. Since his first release in 2008, Alex Font has been etching his name into the worlds of house and minimal, building up an impressive back catalogue of releases on labels including Oblack and Nite Grooves. His imprint acme's debut release '001' garnered support from Dyed Soundorom, Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, San Proper and Sascha Dive amongst many, and Font returns to deliver the third instalment in the labels catalogue. 'La Buena Onda' kicks off the release with a series of punchy kicks, organic percussion licks and general funkiness before easing into a classic house groove reinforced by its compelling lead line and charming vocals. Second offering 'Sincopa y Contratiempo' switches things up with a minimal arrangement of shuffling hats, glitchy pops and clicks, a distinctly off-kilter swing and delicate nuances throughout its near 12 minute journey.

Tvir is a vinyl only label based in Ukraine. Translated from Ukrainian Tvir means composition.
Our third EP comes from Amin Ravelle. On A-side we have two original works, truly deep atmospheric sounds with aquatic minimal house rhythms, perfect for afterhours.

B-Side includes remixes from Ztrl, a hypnotic version with some groovie pad lines perfectly combined with elements of the original track. Mariin's versions showcases a strong beat with powerful bass lines, a real dancefloors killer. The artwork for the EP is inspired by Ukrainian folklore influences.

Pair of fresh cuts from Portuguese disco-duo Cisco Cisco on Apersonal Music. Continuing the love saga that started with "If you want me" and later with "Higher" now they uncover two versions of the same single, jazzy days and nights. "Jazzy days" is a laid-down melodic house tune that builds up along soulful voice samples and live percussions, it feels optimistic and refreshing, a perfect track to set things up. On the flip side "Jazzy nights" takes another direction as a disco-rock uplifting tune aiming at later on into the night moments, it grows and grows driven by a synth solo that brings the jazz into the mix, this is Cisco Cisco in their modernist fashion.
UK disco connoisseur Ron Basejam (Crazy P) stepped into the release by remixing "Jazzy Days", as usual to an original track level, taking a more straight disco direction. As expected the result is impeccable and works beautifully. On the same duties Apersonal founder Andres Vegas stripped down "Jazzy Nights" added new synths and accelerated the bpm, his remix builds up from a dreamy mellow house track into a melodic space-rocker where the original also stand
