Dublin's Pear label return with the new EP Soma from Donabate legend Bryan Mooney (aka DJ
Moonbeam) under his New Members alias. 3 spaced out & illimitable club cuts make up this
latest dancefloor offering on the 6th release from the year-old imprint.

The title track has been a sought after, certified Pear party anthem; timeless dancefloor alchemy
rolled into 9 minutes of dub tech(no) club magic. Yep, 'tis a big one.

B Side swerves left and then some. Good Morning drifts along effortlessly, buoyant with minimal
garage swing and touched ever so slightly by late 90's french deep house-isms (surely destined
to soundtrack many sunrise sets for the next while). Eclipse then consummates this extended
affair with a nod to the hardcore continuum through a ruff'n'rugged jungle number, dashed with
Mooney's signature dreamscapes.

With the career spanning over 20 years, 50 EP's and 10 full length albums, Korablove is not new to Exlusive records roster. This is his third album on the label, and we are happy to have this truly prolific artist back with another seminal piece of work. Hugely supported by the likes of Varoslav, Joachim, Pawas, Noah Pred, Toby Neumann, Marcus Homm to name a few, Korablove's previous releases on the label have shown the depth, mastership, and skills with which this artist creates his unique, intricate and soulful sound. This time, expect a journey into another dimension, Korablove is doing what he does best - bending time to bring you where the past meets the future.

Matt Edwards' R-Time Records welcomes back Sir Lord Commix with five silky cuts for the fourth 'Retroactive' release.

Amoon Andrews' outfit Sir Lord Commix returns with the fourth instalment of re-released gems that have been in high demand on the vinyl market. Born out of Rekids, R-Time Records has previously released twelve of Commix's cuts, yet his treasure trove discography keeps on giving, spanning two decades.

Released on Ugly Music in '96, 'World Of Groove' is a smooth house cuts with an abundance of soulful stabs and driving percussion whilst hypnotic melodies and sweeping cosmic strings envelope 'Life Cycle', which first appeared on Cynic in '05. 'Cosmic Jive' - from the highly sought after 'Evidence' vinyl of '97 - pumps a reverberated kick amongst shimming chords and rising bleeps.

Appearing on an extremely rare release on Hard Up, 'Under Seige' has an off-kilter rhythm and erratic yet funky slapping bass melody. Finally, the release concludes with an ethereal cut titled 'Beyond Reach' complete with liquid breaks, floating arps and shining melody (originally from a Talahachi VA in 2014).

For its fifth release Planet Euphorique puts forward Australian-born, London-based Nite Fleit's latest release, Overcast. Her second record, Overcast is a teeth-baring soundscape guided by commanding, rhythmic spells. The record's acidic slaps and punishing bass lines are uncompromising, recalling her darkly transcendental DJ sets. Overcast's masterful doom is punctuated with enigmatic sparks throughout-the light beckoning listeners into the darkness and onto the dance floor.

Austalia's Analogue Attic has grown to become one of the most beloved purveyors or emotive deep house, ambient and electronica in recent years via a steady stream of releases from the likes of label heads Albrecht La'Brooy, Sleep D and a selection of up and coming artists from their homeland.

"The tracks on the record were inspired by a journey to Barrington Tops, a national park in the Hunter Region of New South Wales. The music itself has a physical link to this area through the field recordings present in the songs and is also imbued with with many vague and wistful memories of the summer trip.
Sitting Atop Mount Allen as the sun rose over the distant hill tops, we were struck by the cyclical beauty of nature.
We were visitors in this place, where everything would continue as it was whether we were there to see it or not.
It is this feeling that perhaps influenced us the most in the writing of the record. It infuses organic with electronics, whilst also mimicking the concurrent sense of happiness and melancholy that is often associated with experiences of nature."

'Ladies Well' leads with plucked strings, airy ethereal chords, hypnotic field recordings at its core whilst organic percussion, jazzy piano lines and warm subs ebb and flow within.
'Heatherbrae' follows next, retaining a similarly dreamy aesthetic with swirling atmospherics, twinkling keys and jangling strings while tipping the rhythmic focus over to bumpy, broken, jazz-tinged drums.
Opening the flip side is 'Mount Allyn' which edges into a more psychedelic realms with billowing vocal textures, murky bass tones, shuffled drums and squelching 303 licks ahead of closing track 'Elegy For Nick's Car', which - as the name would suggest - employs a cinematic, orchestral feel with dynamic evolutions of strings, percussion and piano lines throughout.

Rotterdam-based Pole, Richu M, has been impressing with his scuzzy, eclectic output on Young Adults and Astropical that mixes dusty samples with hazy synths, ranging from wonky slo-mo house grooves to jazzy downtempo cuts.

He brings his colourful patchworks of sound to Monologues for a beautiful mini-album, complete with superb artwork from the man himself.

Label boss G. Markus aka Ben Gomori steps up to give 'Sorry, I'm Not A DJ' a kick up the booty with a garage house flex.

Iconic 2004 UK No.1 Lola's Theme released on Positiva, defined an era of dance music and still devastates dancefloors. Now it sees a 2019 reissue with 2 huge remixes.

House stalwart Mella Dee has delivered a pounding remix injecting driven, warehouse focused beats around the disco edged sounds of the original in the process - the track has already gained notable club support from the likes of Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, KETTAMA, The Black Madonna, Marco Carola, Skream, Amine Edge & DANCE, CamelPhat, Joseph Capriati already.

On the other side is the hard to come by Eric Prydz remix that packs a huge punch. No need to explain Prydz influence on the scene. This one is heavyweight.

Ukraine's arguably most interesting contemporary electronic music producer Mikhaylo Vityk, known as Vakula, returns to our label family. Having released an EP for Burek in 2012 under the Vedagor alias, for Barba he came up with a new name - Rocco Siffredi, and a spaced out 3-tracker EP titled "Per Asper Ad Astra". As it is expected from an artist as unique and prolific as he is - Rocco hits the spot, so to speak, with this 12" as well. A1, the title track "Per Asper Ad Astra" is a very late 70's reminiscent italo disco affair. Bubbly synths, flying arpeggios and pitched vocals make it feel perfectly at home in between a Giorgio Moroder and Space track, but somehow Mr Siffredi made it "his own" and sounding fresh and futuristic even in 2018. A2, "The Elements", is the records most forward momentum track and probably the most psychedelic one. It's a pure dancefloor cut with a tight drum programming counterpointed with airy synths and reverbrating guitars which are begging to be played during an open air venue sunrise moment. It's a track which exposes itself in layers of influence...from synth pop to disco and early electro. B1 cut, "Code P" is the ambient come-down tune. Rich sequences and beautiful synth pads seem to wrap themself around you as the track progresses and drown you in echoing bubbles closer to the end. Beautiful way to get lost in the record and finish it with style. We're pleased to say that Rocco delivered a diverse but consistent EP which heavily leans on the late 70s lingo of synth-infused disco and pop but carries a stamp of "today". Art by Wanda Kuchvalek.

David Marston is a producer, DJ, musician, and guitarist hailing from the vibrant Caribbean island of Jamaica. He takes a multifaceted approach to his music, and has worked to achieve a sound that is a fusion of multiple genres, including, but not limited to, house, hip-hop, disco, jazz, as well as reggae. During a six-month stint in Jamaica in 2016, Marston reconnected with a close friend and fellow musician, Craig Williamson, and the pair began writing music that would become the basis of Marston's first full length album. With the album set to be released in early 2019, Marston has endeavored to put together a special 12" to showcase the club-friendly side of his music with a selection of the album's dance cuts.

The A-side of the vinyl kicks off with the title track, "Feeling You", which features Williamson's crooning voice over a hypnotic instrumental characterized by a swirling arpeggiated synth, punchy bass hits, and stomping drums. To round off the A-side, Italian DJ and production duo, Lowheads, give the aforementioned track a fresh makeover with their lively classic house remix and dub version. The flip side of the record consists of two instrumental tracks. The first, "Ragamuffin", is a mesmerizing four to the floor tune constructed around an Indian raga sample. The final number, "On My Mind" is an off-kilter house groove with rolling keys, garage style drums, and a soaring lead. Taken together, the 12" album 'sampler' is a robust yet tantalising collection of club-ready tunes.

Slow things down into a full balearic groove with this latest EP on Dekmantel by the Dutch production duo. Barely breaking a sweat over 100bpm, these smooth sunset synth rhythms, full of muted 80s Italo funk, and breezy drum machines, syncopated with the warm, exotic blend of retro keys and ambience, set the EPs five tracks coastal, vibrant dynamic.

DJ Rocca returns to Wonder Stories with a stunning EP that only the Italian legend could produce. Steeped in his style, the eclectic producer submits three original tracks dedicated to his favourite types of pastas.

Known for his collaborations with Dimitri From Paris, and Daniele Baldelli, Rocca's playful energy and original song writing shines through. On remix duty is the elusive DJ Fett Burger who combines 'Spaghetti' and 'Fusilli' into a chaotic amalgamation of stabby synths and percussive drums.

'Spaghetti' is a left-field house tune with muted bass and eerie synth melodies. 90s house stabs and lo-fi broken beats amp up the track with sultry vocal lines accenting throughout. 'Fusilli' emerses the listener in a tribal futuristic landscape of a forgotten synthetic world. Think after hours of a blade runner rave. Rocca's studio prowess really shines here, as his analogue. synthesizer and drum machine collection are brought to the forefront.

'Penne' slows things down into a slow-mo funk disco-esque tune with sharp stabby synths and a growling bassline. Rocca, ever the multi-instrumentalist, let's his flute playing shine here, culminating in a seriously vibey aesthetic.

Opting for his pseudonym 'DJ Fett Birger', DJ Fett Burger combines both 'Spaghetti' & 'Fusilli' into a frantic and chaotic amalgamation of breaks and acid.The addition of an elusive vocal sample brings a mindset of late speed-induced warehouse raves.

Born in Venezuela and based in Barcelona, Luis Garban aka Cardopusher has spent the last decade creating a wide variety of noisy dancefloor assaults. Although his roots lie in the breakcore scene, he's slowly gravitated toward a raw, electro-infused take on techno that is no less compelling. Along the way, he's released music via labels like Terminal Dusk, Murder Channel, Hyperdub, and Tigerbeat 6, and has also found the time to launch his own Classicworks imprint, which he continues to run alongside co-founder Nehuen. Cardopusher has also forged a relationship with German bass enthusiast Boys Noize, issuing a pair of EPs as well as two full length albums.

We are proud to present a new 6-track EP titled 'Muscle Memory' that takes the listener on a deep and gritty ride through his diverse sound, from techno to electro, acid, rave, and house. Luis is inspired by labels like Warp, Schematic, Planet Mu, Rephlex, as well as EBM and New Beat. Mount Liberation Unlimited strikes back! After releases on Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space label and everyone's favourite oddball house institution Studio Barnhus, the swedish duo, consisting of Tom Lagerman and Niklas Janzon, land on planet Permanent Vacation.

"Body Language" is the fifth release for MLU and you can feel that they have been places and come some ways, since their debut ep in 2014: This Ode to dancing sees Lagerman and Janzon heading into more pop-y territories than before. "The Swedish Version" is a full on pop disco track with rich instrumentation and infectious vocals that underline MLU's status as one of the best disco and house live acts around these days. While the "Mouth Mix" is the Swedish interpretation of Chicago House and gets even more physical with its drum-heavy beats and computerized vocals. Brandon Knocke's knack for Memphis design funk and skymall fusion hits an apex here, flexing a full spectrum of rhythmic reveries: fluid, jazzy, joyous, sensous. Song to song and side to side Midnight flaunts a panoramic rooftop view of leather interiors, fern-accented foyers, and supreme motion software. Midnight is 12 AM, 12 inches of bump 'n' bounce 'n' body euphoria, music for low lit silhouettes unified in emotional response. Somewhere a clock strikes, a ball drops, and day turns to dawn.

Soundwalk Collective is a multi-disciplinary audio-visual collective founded by Stephan Crasneanscki, including members Simone Merli and Kamran Sadeghi.

The Collective's approach to composition combines anthropology, ethnography, non- linear narrative, psycho-geography, the observation of nature, and explorations in recording and synthesis. The source material of their works is always linked to specific locations, natural or artificial, and requires long periods of investigative travel and field work.

Their recent projects include a collaboration with Patti Smith and reworking the archive of recordings on Jean-Luc Godard's film set.

For the 8th Marionette publication, Soundwalk Collective present 'Death Must Die'. A sound piece that began in 2004 and ended up as a composition for the PS1 radio in NY. For this New release the Collective has revisited the piece in a more musical way.

'Death Must Die' is based on Stephan Crasneanscki's multiple visits to the sacred Indian city of Varanasi, originally known as Kashi and Banares. Sacred texts maintain that Varanasi isn't even a city, but rather a lingam of celestial light, the subtle and cosmic form of Lord Shiva which manifested itself as a city for the sake of seekers of liberation. To bathe in the holy Ganga is to be purified of your sins. To die in Varanasi, is to attain liberation and to bring an end to the cycle of rebirth known as transmigration. Determined to capture the elusive reality of this ancient city, Stephan has day by day recorded and re-imagined his understanding of how to perceive the continuously moving stream of the holy Ganga; performing a simple form of sadhana, which request is to be very alert but also to allow your mind to be quiet, making it easier to slip into the streams, and into the current that both the city and the river are offering.

'Death Must Die' begins before the rising of the sun and reproduces the cycle of a day in Varanasi, going down the river that is believed to be the divinity descended to this Earth in the form of water. She grants us happiness and salvation. The composition attempts to emulate the vibration of Kashi that encourages the kind of interiority that enables a person to get a better perspective on reality than one might have, while constantly being in the current of human life. A vibration dedicated to eliminating the distinction between human and non-human, between alive and dead, between light and dark.

Jumanjí is the joint persona of RAMZi and Priori. This eponymous album is a deep adventure in Houti Kindom, featuring a cast of colorful characters practicing interspecific altruism in communion with the invisible world. All songs written and produced by Francis Latreille and Phoebé Guillemot at Jump Source Studios in Montreal, Canada.

For the last 20 years London-based author and party organiser Tim Lawrence has dedicated himself to excavating the history of New York City party culture and bringing some of the most powerful aspects of that culture to London's dance scene, from where it has ricocheted around the world. Having conducted the first set of major interviews with David Mancuso, Lawrence started to put on Loft-style Lucky Cloud Sound System parties with David and friends in London in June 2003. In early 2004 he published Love Saves the Day: A History of American Dance Music Culture, 1970-79, which tracked the influence of the Loft on the wider New York DJ, dance and disco scene. In 2009 his biography of the iconic musician Arthur Russell became the first book to map the wider downtown music scene. These beautifully written and politically insightful histories have educated, inspired and celebrated the previously overlooked foundations of contemporary dance music.

Lawrence's most recent publication, Life & Death On The New York Dancefloor, 1980 - 1983, published in late 2016, shines a light on 'one of the most dynamic and creative periods in the history of New York City'. Falling between the more regularly celebrated sounds of disco, house and techno, the period produced a uniquely hybrid series of sounds that never acquired a settled name. This led them to be largely ignored by historians and even DJs, yet the power of the period's music and the scenes it birthed, Lawrence argues, remains undeniable. Met with a rapturous response, Life and Death On The New York Dance Floor saw Lawrence on the road for most of the next year as he spread the word about the characters, the records, the clubs and the bands that shaped the post-Disco, post-Punk, and burgeoning Hip Hop landscapes of New York City during the early 1980s—a period when freedom still ruled.

This, the first of a 2-part sonic tribute to the 1980 - 1983 era as well as a musical companion piece to Life & Death On The New York Dance Floor sees recognised musicians (David Byrne of Talking Heads) nestle up alongside the belatedly recognised (Arthur Russell's Dinosaur L and Loose Joints, and Suicide's Alan Vega) and the downright obscure (Gray, 2 Teens Kill 4 and Tuxedomoon). An indication of what's to follow, Dinosaur L's original album version of 'Go Bang' has been dramatically overshadowed by the definitive François Kevorkian remix yet received regular play by David Mancuso and remains an enthralling experimental Arthur Russell jam.

Lovingly curated across 2 slabs of vinyl, the album introduces listeners to a stunning array of sounds, styles, vibes and feelings that encapsulate this most fertile and forward-thinking era, when music, fashion, sound system innovations, leaps in music technology, a DIY attitude and a freedom from corporate politics combined with extraordinary expressivity. All music contained within this album has been hand-picked and programmed by Tim Lawrence. It represents a selective yet rich introduction to one of the most extraordinary periods in New York City's epic musical history.

With the support from all the main players who has made that era magic, we work to put back on records stores shelves a piece of art that may have been lost but it's still timeless. The first release is one of the key projects of the underground Italo Disco scene, probably not the most famous one, but surely it is among the most loved one by DJs and connoisseurs: Steel Mind.

'It was the end of the '70s and at that time Disco Music was very popular. I was in a band called Caelestium, and we were playing in the most important clubs in Italy…Around the beginning of the 80s, I started to feel the desire to make a different kind of sound and I decided to start my solo project creating songs like 'Boss Man' and 'Lionel' that were closer to the Krautrock style' recalls Piero Torsani, the producer behind this project.

These songs have become a cult for many djs, including Daniele Baldelli, Beppe Loda and Alexander Robotnick and they still sound contemporary. The Tempo Dischi collective is responsible of a club friendly edit of 'Boss Man'. And after a deeper search into Pietro Torsani's original music archive, an unreleased track has surfaced we could not resist to give to the world: 'Summer in The City' featuring the voice of Marisa Lucà , at that time singer of Caelestium.

It took a while before it was this. It was a place to find clothes made by people lost in a minefield of ideas who liked to party. It was a place for temporary visions that turned out to happen and were then forgotten. It was always a place to find a new circle of friends. A place for expression where the throttle had been loosened and we all careered into the next day and the day after that. We all need to meet in the flesh away from the pixels and connect our first thoughts. Somewhere to ruffle our own feathers and take off on a phantom flight. It has been all this and it still is. Only now there is a record label to try and actually document a little of all of that. Welcome to Sameheads.

This record is a morsel from the community. Novo Line, Twoonky, Kruton, Kris Baha and Antoni Maovvi and Balance Crew aka Dane Close & L. Zylberberg. Six acts whose sweat is in the carpet and who all owe more than seven euros to the place for one reason or another. Six songs that electrify a new way to no wave. Its First Release Is The Vinyl Debut Of Two Phase U, Real Name Hernán González. Based In Uruguay, González Has Been Producing Music For Over 20 Years, In Parallel To The Growth Of Montevideo's Now Vibrant Electronic Music Scene (centred Around The Esteemed Club Phonotheque).

Two Phase U's Last Output Was The Recently Rediscovered 1998 Album 'techknowledge'. 20 Years Later, González Has Resurrected The Alias To Explore Fresh Interpretations Of That 'golden Age' Of Electronic Music. 'face One' Presents A Brighter Side Of The Two Phase U Sound: The Technicolour Tumble Of 'tremendous', The House Lilt Of 'fill U', Electro Boogie Tinged 'elevator' As Well As The Darker, Snaking 'kill'.

Matt Whitehead needs no introduction here on Super Rhythm Trax and for this outing, he's joined by No Data Available (fresh from a recent outing on Null & Void) and together they've come up with something super special.

'Sahara' and 'Temple Of Set' conjure strong images that match their respective titles with the mood alternating between majestic and mystical. Masterpieces.

Born the 26th of October 1956 in Aïn Azel near the Algerian city of Sétif, Nordine Staïfi, real name Larbi Smati, was very young when he emigrated to the French Chambéry region.
After having recorded 'Sraoui' style songs, his real devotion as a singer took place in 1978 when publishing the song 'El Ghorba S'hiba', a disco version of a traditional East-Algerian piece. This song would revolutionize the modern Algerian music, and made Nordine one of its most important protagonists of the 1980s.
For nearly ten years he dedicated himself to the modernization of his music, traversed by the themes of exile, love and the nostalgia of his country.
Nordine Staïfi died prematurely on December 17th 1989 in France, at the age of 33.

The fourth release in Dekmantel Record's tenth-anniversary, celebratory release series is a collection of new material from some of the label's favourite artists. A blend of the old and new, brought together through a shared love of electro, and wave influenced grooves by the likes of Palms Trax, The Egyptian lover, Interstellar Funk, and Syracuse & Epsilove.

On the EP, The Egyptian Lover tees things off with his trademark electro vibes. Making his Dekmantel inauguration, the electro pioneer sets the precedent with his 808, retro-futurist aesthetic. It's classes Egypt through and through. No stranger to Dekmantel however, UK producer Palms Trax adds a hallmark slab of classic-analogue, summertime house, a track that will inevitably find its way into his festival set later this summer. French synth-pop act Syracuse & Epsilove -whose 2015 Antinote LP Liquid Silver Dream is essential listening for those who haven't heard it- contribute a dreamlike, electro vocal pop number to the record. Also marking their debut to the label. Amsterdam based Interstellar Funk, the Red Light Radio and Rush Hour analogue adventurist, delivers a track full of playful, yet murky synthetic grooves, with a machine-heart and lively, fanciful melody.

2017 sees Dekmantel celebrating its 10th anniversary. A decade ago, the Amsterdam crew threw their first party in the Dutch capital, two years later Dekmantel Records followed. And for their decennial anniversary, Dekmantel Records are releasing ten, very special EPs over the course of 2017. For this series, Dekmantel invited producers who are close to their hearts, have been with them since day one, or made a big musical impact on the crew. Artists including the likes of Gigi Masin, Levon Vincent, and Call Super, who all graced the first three EPs released earlier this year. Along with seasoned names, the series will see the indoctrination of newcomers to the label including Burnt Friedman, Ectomorph, and Donato Dozzy. It will also feature the addition of a couple of stone cold geniuses, including Motor City Drum Ensemble, Ricardo Villalobos, Joy Orbison, and Tony Allen.

Touching on tribal house at points and the foggy basements of Berlin in others these remixes are joined by Mammarella's 'Pedé BPM' re-work - a gnarly slice of synthetic EBM that was previously only available digitally.

Moonshoe set their sights south of the border, shining a light on a collaboration between two vanguards of the Melbourne underground - Ziggy of 30/70 and Analogue Attic alumni Matthew Hayes. This EP bridges both their sounds while retaining a flavour all of its own, and Hayes' spacious production affords their ideas room to breathe. The result combines disparate influences from jazz, ambient techno, house music, and broken beat to form a musical vernacular that feels singular to these two.

Ken Oath slip on their moon shoes for a joint venture with Freda & Jackson, pressing up four cuts that will have you slipping the surly bonds of earth and dancing in the skies. Loaded with basslines heavier than a neutron star and well-chopped breaks, produced with a dubwise ear for space, this is some of the duo's finest material yet 'Kendama' is the heaviest cut here, a deep psychedelic outing that's swathed in an foggy haze. Abstracted digi-flutes and koto plucks are paired with a skull-boring bassline and exacting breakbeat dissection, adding some levity to the leaden heaviness of the track's bass-weight. 'Cubone' slows but retains the hallucinatory haze that coils around all these trackers. Thudding bass anchors the floating drones and glitches, while percussion snakes through the track, building, like smoke slowly filling a room. The steady build is transportive, to the point where you hear the final echo tail trailing out into silence, and wonder how that all time dissipated Flipping over the record, 'Platform 22' is where you'll find the two of them at their loosest. Submerged vibraphone melodies and swirling voices play over a bassline that sounds like its descending the stairs, boisterous and half-drunk, to culminate in an orgiastic percussion frenzy at the end. Spacious and dubwise, 'Noggin' is a tellingly heady closer. Samples are set adrift across the track as they are dubbed-out and dissolved into smears of sound. There's a buoyancy to the whole piece, a pleasant weightlessness that keeps you floating after the final notes fade out. One time for ya mind.

After a brief wander 'round the garden, Chilean-born Ricardo Tobar returns to the ESP Institute bearing earthly delights. With 2017's Liturgia, he introduced his creative point-of-view—instantly substantiating a sense of rhythm that was deliberately complex yet slightly rough around the edges, while touching upon his musical origins from the guitar-driven corners of psychedelia— however with his debut 2xLP Continuidad, he leaves us gobsmacked and seeking shelter as he leaps from dancefloor comforts and descends into absolute chaos (in more ways than one). Emotionally, the artist has crossed all previously self-imposed and subconscious thresholds, putting his true imagination on display and exposing an unwavering attraction to all things loud, orgasmic and transcendent. He's not subtly hinting at a fetish, but opening his arms wide with conviction, abandoning genre taboos and personally inviting everyone to join his enchanted caravan. Sonically, his appetite for intensity is clear throughout—epic chord changes, ascending peaks in arrangement, accumulating layers of grit that build into impenetrable blankets of distortion and feedback—a kind of aural hedonism that translates visually into the potent video abstractions our Mario Hugo has summoned for the album's packaging. This might all sound like a warning for Hurricane Ricardo, but fear not, listeners will still find some security in the album's rhythmic underpinnings, and although this foray into primitive, ritualistic bang-the-drum percussion is significantly more dangerous than his previous programming, its the imperfection in his passionate studio performances that imbue Continuidad with something remarkably human.

It's tempting to think that the opening of SCHLOSS02, which features the sound of track racing behind a cavernous broken kick, has some connection with the fact that DJ/producer Karima F runs Schloss out of a disused Porsche repair shop with contemporary artist Ida Ekblad. But then you might start to wonder about other details, like whether her production is influenced by a teenage effort to fit in with the cool kids by playing the violin (it isn't). The three songs on the debut 12" of Oslo mainstay Karima F take off in their own direction, tripping through bleeps and metallic riffs on the way to something more ethereal.

The 4th Release On Detroit Vinyl Room Welcomes A New Artist To Our Roster That Was Born In Chicago But Has Been Based Out Of Detroit For The Past Few Years, Moppy. His Original Track vinyl Is Important' Captures His Unique Eclectic Style While Also Embracing The Deeper Sounds That Are Sought After On This Label. His Original Track Was Remixed By Label Owner Isaac Prieto And House Music Legend, Norm Talley. Isaac's Remix On The A Side Show's Resemblance Of Early Electro Music, Pushing A Futuristic Sound At A Faster Tempo. The B Side Of The Record Contains Norm Talley's Extended House Interpretation And It's Finished Off With A Secret Ambient Track From Moppy At The End. This Record Can Be Found In The Record Bags Of Artists Like Kai Alce And Patrice Scott.

Shanti Celeste returns to Peach Discs in 2019, teaming up good friend Hodge for the label's first release of the year. The three tracks that make up the 'Soba Dance' EP showcase the best of both producer's styles - from the galloping rhythm and misty pads of the title track to the propulsive momentum of 'Alulu' and the trippy, sombre slide of 'Pips,' it's a record that finds Shanti and Hodge teasing out new ideas together while retaining that dancefloor magic. Artwork by Shanti Celeste and new label co-owner Gramrcy.

Left Ear are issuing two previously unreleased Full-Length versions of Space Farm's mid 90's Egyptian inspired tracks. Both, 'The Dawn of Birds' and 'Camels in Desert Air' were initially cut short to allow for additional remixes on the original release. For their 2019 issue, Left Ear have decided to focus only on these downtempo original songs allowing the heavy percussion and synth workouts to shine through on a loud 45RPM press.

Space Farm is the story of three friends Darrin, Bill and Waleed their love for 80's NY culture, Egyptian music and a cross continental business plan that never materialised. Darrin and Bill grew up in North New Jersey only a few miles from NY city and met while studying in '90. Bill spent his formative years listening to the emerging sounds of 80's left-leaning New York radio stations, while Darrin immersed himself in the DJ and B-Boy culture. Fast-forward to '94 and the two found themselves living in Boulder, Colorado. By this time the tag-team had started producing music and would look to their NJ roots for a group name, deciding on the title 'Space Farm' after a kooky local petting farm they often cracked jokes about. Armed with an open mind and a bunch of old studio gear the duo began producing music inspired by 80's NY, however after a budding friendship began with Egyptian native Waleed they were inspired to start experimenting with Egyptian and Arabic sounds. After hearing their output Waleed pushed for the release of an Egyptian inspired record saying 'it would sell like crazy in Egypt', that 'he would bring it back to Egypt on his next visit and get it to all the right people that need to hear it'. The record got done but, due to circumstances beyond their control it never made it over to Egypt. The duo performed live a few times in Boulder before finally returning to NJ. Darrin recalls playing their final party in Boulder in which the Space Farm record was played from start to finish, 'Some joker ran up to us while we were playing and kept signalling to up the tempo we were like F Off! raver boy'.

We concluded 2018 with a gentle bed of ethereal, chilly ambient so we could rocket into 2019 with something especially loud, brash, pummeling.

Here is Lights Out, a four-track EP by Viers, a.k.a. LK, proprietor of Hokkaido Dance Club and purveyor of surgically-precise, brutal techno, riotous electro, jacked house. If this doesn't wake you up, nothing will.

On his debut E.P. for WPH Adham Zahran presents two pieces of divine house music that ooze soul and musicianship. 'The Midnight Tower' will go straight to your hips with it infectious piano hook whereas 'Disco Infinite' is a subtle discofied bass affair that would sit well next to classic Theo Parrish or Moodymann stuff. High praise, but just listen and you'll know it's well-deserved!

For the last 20 years London-based author and party organiser Tim Lawrence has dedicated himself to excavating the history of New York City party culture and bringing some of the most powerful aspects of that culture to London's dance scene, from where it has ricocheted around the world.
Having conducted the first set of major interviews with David Mancuso, Lawrence started to put on Loft-style Lucky Cloud Sound System parties with David and friends in London in June 2003.
In early 2004 he published Love Saves the Day: A History of American Dance Music Culture, 1970-79, which tracked the influence of the Loft on the wider New York DJ, dance and disco scene.
In 2009 his biography of the iconic musician Arthur Russell became the first book to map the wider downtown music scene.
These beautifully written and politically insightful histories have educated, inspired and celebrated the previously overlooked foundations of contemporary dance music.

Lawrence's most recent publication, Life & Death On The New York Dancefloor, 1980 - 1983, published in late 2016, shines a light on 'one of the most dynamic and creative periods in the history of New York City'. Falling between the more regularly celebrated sounds of disco, house and techno, the period produced a uniquely hybrid series of sounds that never acquired a settled name.

This led them to be largely ignored by historians and even DJs, yet the power of the period's music and the scenes it birthed, Lawrence argues, remains undeniable. Met with a rapturous response, Life and Death On The New York Dance Floor saw Lawrence on the road for most of the next year as he spread the word about the characters, the records, the clubs and the bands that shaped the post-Disco, post-Punk, and burgeoning Hip Hop landscapes of New York City during the early 1980s — a period when freedom still ruled.

This, the second of a 2-part sonic tribute to the 1980 - 1983 era as well as a musical companion piece to Life & Death On The New York Dance Floor, sees recognised classics (such as 'Don't Make Me Wait' and 'Din Daa Daa') nestle up alongside the belatedly recognised (including the August Darnell remix of 'Contort Yourself' and Mark Kamins remix of 'Love Tempo') and the downright obscure ('Vena Cava' and the B-side of the 'Pop Your Funk' 7' promo).

Capturing the range and the mayhem, Material's under-appreciated 'Bustin' Out' features Nona Hendryx delivering lyrics inspired by Black Panther George Jackson's prison letters plus a music track featuring dance beats combined with a heavy electric guitar — a combination proposed by Michael Zilkha after the ZE label head rejected Bill Laswell's first effort. The mix comes courtesy of Better Days resident DJ Tee Scott. Everyone, it seemed, was open to everything.

Lovingly curated across 2 slabs of vinyl, the album introduces listeners to a stunning array of sounds, styles, vibes and feelings that encapsulate this most fertile and forward-thinking era, when music, fashion, sound system innovations, leaps in music technology, a DIY attitude and a freedom from corporate politics combined with extraordinary expressivity. All music contained within this album has been hand-picked and programmed by Tim Lawrence.

It represents a selective yet rich introduction to one of the most extraordinary periods in New York City's epic musical history.

Detroit's resident producer, Appian, joins ANMA with three originals that twist and grind through break and straight 4/4 beat grooves. A lot of the sound presented sets ground in the rough and rugged but minimalist feel with focus on rhythms that are sometimes complex and sometimes more reliant on the heavier dance floor cuts while simultaneously meshing new ideas with references to electronica classics that paved the way for today.

The alternative take on the flip is provided by Italian producer Sofa Talk, no stranger to the label seeing his own release debut EP hitting the shops in 2017, with more focus on 4/4 beat with layers upon layers of improvised synth and atmospheric licks.

Ace ambidextrous addendum to Brandon Knocke's latest limited vinyl offering, Midnight Companion crossfades a dreamer's delight pirate mix of unreleased originals, flowing through glow-fi house, balcony bump, decadent noir, and assorted velvet rope rhythms. Both sides slip and slide with signature Body San swing, out late with nothing to lose, skipping steps up to the roof, a 36-minute 360 skyline of magic hour motion and distant city lights. Bring yourself, bring a friend.

Basic Rhythm arrives on Arcola following two killer albums for Type and one as East Man for Planet Mu. Up top, 'Dough Boy' rolls a tough LFO heavy dance floor number that is sure to mash heads up everywhere it is deployed, while the anthemic 'Can't You See' shifts between early AI synths and an ambient dancehall vibe that while it has its roots in early 90's jungle and hardcore, has its sight fixed firmly on the future."

Duckett returns to Wisdom Teeth with another otherworldly four-tracker of melodic, trippin' house-n-techno. While recent outings on Berceuse Heroique and Solar Phenomena have showcased the more abstract edges of his sound, Corde Raide Vers Nulle Part comprises a collection of the Welsh producer's most melodious work to date. Throughout, the tracks are driven by snaking FM basslines, shimmering video game synths and tonal drums, creating a record that will appeal equally to fans of golden era Night Slugs, bleeping minimal techno, and the compositional electronica of labels like RVNG International and Latency.

Dim DJ returns on June Records with the long player Recurring Patterns after his first appearance on the label in 2015. This time he expands his classic acid house sound with slower, mystifying tracks that were recorded between 2015 and 2018 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

"Hard Ton" is the duo formed by Massimo Bastasi and Mauro Copeta. They offer us a fresh sound and in turn they go back to the golden age of HI-NRG,
moving on stage as Divine, with futuristic acid touches and falsettos worthy of Sylvester.

His sound and presence on stage make the duo "Hard Ton" a unique work of art.
The textures we find in their sounds cross barriers where we find magic and seduction.

Certain Creatures (born Oliver Chapoy) currently resides in Brooklyn, NY but has a career dating back to the early 90's. He has roots in the Miami hardcore scene that evolved into post-rock and even electronic pop (Warm Ghost). He began exploring electronics as Certain Creatures in 2013 with a 12" on Styles Upon Styles with guest vocals from Stuart Argabright which led to Oliver producing the 2014 Black Rain comeback record on Blackest Ever Black. In 2015, Oliver created a lush and enthralling LP Vipassana, also released on Styles Upon Styles. For this particular release for Transfusions, Oliver sought to step out of his production bias comfort zone by recording live takes with minimal editing and production in order to maintain a dirty, raw, haze-filled warehouse aesthetic. Mission accomplished! The 12" contains 5 tracks total of uncompromising techno which we are ecstatic to unleash on the world. Presented on classic 160gram black vinyl in our Transfusions 12" sleeve. Sun rises in the East & sets in the West!

Adult Contemporary have always focused on meticulous production and manufacturing throughout the catalog history. This time no different in that regard, but the approach seems to have crossed over to the visual aspect of their ninth release, a glorious offering introducing artist Invisibleland, as well as, a dazzling cover illustration synchronizing the entire package.
The headlining lead track is astonishing itself. 'Six months of no rain' is a way of life in L.A. come every September which is when this multi-dimensional masterpiece lands.

On a trip to Tokyo, steeped in thoughts about a world driven by fear, scaremongering and supremacy ever present, there was a need and desire for Rushmore to explore his own internal hope, faith and positivity - themes that lie at the core of debut album, 'Ours After'.

The LP's backbone is informed by his past musings of 90s/00s rap albums, fused with the more recent club stylings of innovative music pioneers like Spinn, Rashad (RIP) & Teklife.

At 13 tracks long, the album is a journey - and a chance for Rushmore to re-imagine the music he'd been gifted before, to become 'Ours After'.

Infrasonics presents the second part in Spatial's three-part series Emergence, encompassing music and digital art. Early support has come from Machinedrum, A Made Up Sound, Mosca, Mumdance, Ekoplekz, Hodge, Ben UFO, and Beneath among other DJs. Focusing on the progression of intensive rhythmic phrases arranged in multiple layers, these rhythms seek an active neurophysical response by experimental means, as opposed to familiar patterns derived from genre. Both pieces are emphasised and systematically developed in the bass, to outline a narrative assimilable in terms of basic neurophysical functioning preceding musical understanding. In terms of generalised meaning, Reanimator' is primarily characterised by an alertness to the emergence of new possibilities, as well as suggesting a desire for experimentation in fields with ambiguous potential. Tensegrity' is characterised by a mood of tension in response to a large but otherwise unknown event rapidly approaching. It is further characterised by the difficulty involved in strategizing in the face of uncertain conditions. Coexistent with its application inside the framework of club-DJ-audience, the work is presented within a multidisciplinary approach. On the 12' vinyl a URL is printed as the only information. This leads to track information alongside an evolving visual work hosted on the web. These visuals are generated by a genetic algorithm, a mathematical expression of the understanding of genetics and evolution implicit in modern biology. It's pressed on heavyweight 180g silver vinyl and housed in a printed transparent sleeve. Emergence part 3 is forthcoming later this year.

Separate Planes marks the release of dark, seductive beats from VVV, alias of Austin, TX-based electronic producer Shawhin Izaddoost. Previously showcasing his intricate, nocturnal, immersive style on labels such as Fortifed Audio, Tube 10, and Sound of the Cosmos, VVV's first release for Seattle-based label Hush Hush is a masterful display of emotional tone and heavy textures. Separate Planes' 6-handpicked tracks blur flickering ghostly vocal samples and low-slung, slow-motion, bass-heavy beats within a warm, enveloping haze of atmospheric layers, resulting in an intoxicating and ideal late-night soundtrack.

After a debut 12" on Vanity Press in 2017 and a successful followup on Portage Garage Sounds, Black Noi$e returns for his first solo full length, 'Illusions' spanning 10 tracks, 48 minutes, over 2 discs, with a beautiful full sleeve by Bernard Veyu with a matte finish. Coming into his own, Detroit's Black Noi$e delivers a complete work, traversing styles and sounds from the past while looking far into to the future.

Music From Memory's final 12" for 2017 is a reissue of Dub Oven's self released, and sadly one-off, 1983 EP 'Skin N Bones'.

Pioneers in the Post Punk Industrial and New Wave scene in 1980's San Francisco, Gary Miles (Voice Farm) and Blaise Smith (Minimal Man), met at San Francisco's notorious 181 Club in December of 1982. This straight/same sex/swing-both-ways late night dive bar was tucked away in one of the city's most risky, drug riddled neighbourhoods. Stationed near the SF Museum of modern Art it attracted a wild audience of local patrons, aspiring young artists and music heads. In the thick of all this the duo felt impartial to a lot what was going on musically and set out to produce electronic music that could break through the "somewhat exhausted post disco sound that was then competing in the local San Francisco clubs". Enlisting soul vocalist Celeste Miller, the duo were also inspired by Lee 'Scratch' Perry / Upsetters dub tracks being produced in Jamaica and created a unique breed of avant guard hybrid New Wave/Electronic Funk.

With it's influences seemingly as much rooted in the past and the present as it was focused on the future, Dub Oven formed a distinct, mystical approach to music intended for the dance floor. All three tracks on this 12" embody a signature groove and an inventive synthesized abstraction to express a languishing urban unsettledness and spiritual awareness. Recorded at L7 Studios in San Francisco with the assistance of the the studio's in house producer Marco Perry (who currently now works with Bjork) the record was unfortunately overlooked by A&R at several major and even local labels and was finally self-released in very limited quantities. Utilising analog electronics and instrumentation, the record draws on elements of dub, new wave, soul and funk to create a sound that is uncategorizable and one that was perhaps simply too forward thinking for it's time.

GRAVITATIONAL TUGS comes on in a Detroit rush of hi hats, claps and snares over an offbeat bassline, as stardust synths spin off into space overhead.Minor harmonies and a sparse breakbeat take MOMENT OF INERTIA into darker territory, preparing the ground for the vintage Ismistik-style squiggle-and-stomp of RITUAL DANCE MACHINE.
The mood lightens finally with AWAKENING, the kind of contemplative analogue electro to put on at an afterparty at your place, once you've changed into your comfiest pyjamas. Essential.

One year after Michigan-based artist Zach Saginaw released his third album as Shigeto, a genre-blending Detroit love letter called The New Monday, he returns with another eclectic display of affection for the musical community that makes Motor City music tick. The four new tracks on his Weighted EP, including a sumptuous remix from Detroit house luminary Andrés, continue to rene and augment the patchwork of jazz, hip-hop, and electronics that Shigeto has built his catalog with.

But far be it from Saginaw to repeat himself. Whether it's the heavy, disjointed beats of "Fight Club" or the vibey house roller "The Line Up (feat. Ian Fink)," Weighted drops as many low-key surprises as it does smokey grooves. A track as blown-out and deceptively simple as "Ooh Ooh" might at rst feel like an anomaly coming from Shigeto—once the cacophonous production settles in, however, it clearly bears the mark of a master producer exing new muscles. And that's true of Weighted as a whole. Saginaw is pushing his music into fresh spaces, forming imaginative shapes while keeping his focus on the city and culture that so deeply inspires him.

Staring through the mirror. Transmitting the former self. Kurt Baggaley uncovered a theme. A theme of the ages. A theme with no clear beginning, nor end. The British producer has made a monumental effort of capturing, bending the sequence, making it's frequencies audible for everyone to hear, for the select few to understand. A 13 minute manifestation that seems to be able to go on forever. Drifting away, time seems detached, reality becomes palpable and minds become entranced. Esoteric, arcane, inscrutable. This is your former self.

Moving far between audible dimensions, Nuno dos Santos has made his next move, lifting the veil of the new release on his Something Happening Somewhere. Enlisting Kurt Baggaley for this EP, with Maeve's the Drifter delivering a staggering remix of the epic opening piece called 'Former Self'. Taking the original arrangement and making it club-ready, the Drifter does exactly what's needed, and more. Being able to keep the emotive payload intact while giving it the dancefloor treatment is more than impressive. It's a triumph.

Completing the circle on the flip side is Kurt Baggaley himself with 'Far Between'. A succumbed, deep jam, again taking it's time to unveil it's true payload: a hidden arpeggio that will only be appreciated by those who take time to listen.

Correspondant present the vinyl sampler for their 3rd label compilation. Following in the success of the previous two entries in the series, this latest edition provides a perfect snapshot of how the relatively young label has matured over three years, with contributions from a range of artists including big names (such as Roman Flügel and Chloe), close Correspondant family (like Man Power and Red Axes), and exciting new rising talent (including Bird of Paradise and Sigward).

With eight tracks, split over two records, Compilation 03 sees curator and label owner, Jennifer Cardini, displaying an even wider musical breadth than the previous two compilation incarnations, but still represents the undefinable yet unmistakable sound which truly marks out Correspondant as unique.

Denis Sulta (AKA Hector Barbour) has announced a brand new EP for his newly minted Sulta Selects off-shoot - Silver Service. Following on from the label launch, which saw Sulta tap promising Irish producer Cromby for an EP of hard hitting house and acid peak timers, comes Silver Service 002, featuring two fresh cuts from Sulta himself.

Channeling his euphoric live sets which have taken him around the globe, lead track L & S (You Mean Everything Mix) i s a modern disco classic in waiting, a lush and swirling slow-burner layered with life-affirming pianos, funk-flavoured rhythms and off-kilter synths, whilst Awake Oh Rhion zeroes back in on Sulta's twisted and spectral signature house sound.

The new EP arrives in the middle of another busy period for Sulta. Earlier this year he contributed to Radio 1's BBC Essential mix series, last month he curated and headlined his Sulta Selects FLY Open Air festival, which was hosted within a 17th-century stately home in Edinburgh and featured an all-star cast of house and disco selectors including Orla, Jayda G, Gerd Janson and more, closely followed by a prestigious Mixmag double cover feature for their October issue.

The FireScope Records adventure goes from strength to strength with release number 8, and we are very proud to present on this label Mr Derek Carr. Established in Ireland in the early 90's Derek has released many ground breaking and classic EPS for labels such as 'For Those That Knoe', 'Revoke' & 'Why So Series'.

Born and raised in Westmeath, Ireland, Derek got an early taste for finely crafted melodic techno through compilations like Network's 'Bio-Rhythms' and Warp's 'Pioneers of the Hypnotic Groove'. Having been a fan of bands such as Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode through his formative years, Derek felt drawn to this new sound coming from Detroit.

In 2001 Derek launched his own label 'Trident Recordings' and released the 'Copper Beech e.p.' (the only release to date) a collection of deep soulful techno, it has since become something of a collector's item. Subsequent releases on 'Digital Soul' 'Headspace' 'Nice & Nasty' and 'Geek Records' further cemented Carr's place amongst a new generation of techno producers that looked to combine soul and melody with electronic dance floor grooves.

The EP entitled Distant Systems is a musical adventure for a quest for a new home land, a new planet, a new start, It is proper techno, proper melodies , beats and pads for this adventure. Derek is a master at creating thoughtful emotive and simply wonderful techno that fits in so naturally on FireScope Records

Artifice 2' 808 drums and lush pads - what a perfect start - a track like this is perfect like this .... But then ... the Baseline drops, it embeds itself into what back drop as we wait for what happens next,

Terrahawk' An otherworldly techno track. The usual elements are here but somehow they convert a story quite different to the norm

3 3 8 9' A amazing baseline in this track seems to speak as it conveys must more than just notes, the expression conjures up some strange alien dialect as real emotive strings/pads/beats wrap themselves around it

Berlins premiere Bass Collective continue their march into history with yet another TKO vinyl from regular contributor Bridge Guy. His 4 originals are joined by an absolute hammer of Deepness from Jesse Bru who steps up to remix Psilocybin.

Bridge Guy is exploring Deeper sounds in this EP and Isopropyl opens proceedings with a trip of clattering percussion and synth work, all with a laid back slant. Deep enough for the heads but with a sound that just pulls you in.

The theme is somewhat continued in Lone Frenchman, but where the previous track takes a step to the left, The Lone Frenchman turns right and gets his rhythmic jam on. Tightening up the groove and laying the dancefloor to waste.

Psilocybin really pulls the bass and groove centre stage, bouncy and warm and with a whole load of rhythm in the boot. This one is for the turning point right in the middle of the night where things start to get a little more freaky.

Cheese on Toast, drops things back a touch. Thick tones and a more relaxing vibe perfect for losing yourself in, as the last of Bridge Guys originals rounds out a remarkably vibey EP.

Closing out the package we have Jesse Bru's storming remix of Psilocybin, easily up their with some of the best lo-fi House of the past few years. Jesse rings his own vocal work and really heats things up. Peak time killer.
